Chapter 10: Funeral

"...ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Amen." The pastor wiped a tear away from his eye. "Now to give some remarks, here is her good friend, Miss Pinkie Pie."

The pastor stepped aside and Pinkie Pie took his place at the rostrum. "I know you're all here for a funeral and we're all super mopey over Twilight choking on her quesadilla, but the first three letters of 'funeral' are 'fun' - so let's party!" She threw confetti into the air and blew a party horn.

Rarity, sitting in the front pew, lamented, "I knew we should have had Applejack give the eulogy."

Author's Note

"The first three letters of 'funeral' are 'fun'". It comes from Cold Sassy Tree, a book I had to read in English class years ago. That saying is one of the few things that I still remember about that book.
