A Titan's directives were fickle things. Some were tasked designed by the Titan's themselves, goals set to achieve greatness, some were forced onto themselves. This implies that they fulfill these directives by voluntary action, or through a sense of duty the Titan. This part of Titan psychology can be extremely harmful to them. In fact, in my lifetime I have seen four very different Titan's run themselves to destruction through their directives, the orders they force upon themselves. I believe this is why Titan's are so secretive about their directives, defending them even from their closest friends. However, I have become worried about my friend Redacted. She seems to be working to hard on her studies and Titan duties. I hope nothing bad happens to her...

Nighttime, Everfree Approach

I am a failure.

I failed to protect everyone, in fact I couldn't even save my own people.

Why the Void Master didn't fight for Sanctuary doesn't matter, he has been gone for a long time, and has never been expected to help me, or any of my people.

I had already marked the old comm tower where I should be dead, I think after some set up I will return, I don't deserve to live, I have completely failed. I am not powerful, I am weak, I deserve some kind of punishment. I have devised a powerful virus, it will not kill me put it will put me through severe pain, every night, as I stand sentinel, I will rend my own code. The ponies will not need a failure like me. I initiate the program, and my rightful Hell begins.

I feel my very soul quiver as the pain courses through my core. I held in my roar of pain, as to not alert the peaceful ponies. I dragged myself outside the castle, continuing the programs course. The pain caused me to force out a growl as I began to thrash around wildly. Then, the program intensified further, causing me to begin crying out weak cries. Somehow through my pain I saw a larger than observed pony inside the area of my thrashing. I immediately halt my program, I can't allow any pony be harmed by myself, or my mistakes, which is why I'm doing this. However my pain is too great, and my soul initiates a forced shutdown of external systems, the Titan equivalent to sleep.

The Dreamscape, POV Luna

I have never seen such a broken mind, I don't completely understand it yet. Its confusing, however whoever this pony is, it needs my help. The door to the nightmare inside bore uncountable chains, crossing over the large metal door. When I approached a purple wisp blocked my path.

"Luna" It spoke in a deep voice, somehow resonating within my mind.

" Who are you!? Why are you in the dreamscape!?"

"My child needs your help, I can unlock his defenses, but the rest is up to you." The wisp faded and the chains sealing the door burst apart and the door flung open, pulling me inside. I was met with a razed world where I saw three giant creatures staring down a smaller, but still twice as tall as I, creature. In fact they looked like dragons. The big three had wisps of black smoke which resonated of dark magic. The smaller one shined of black metal and its eyes were glowing blue. It was curled up as the big one in the middle spoke in a once again deep, but even darker voice.

"You are weak, you saved no one but yourself, you should just finish the job."

The small one muttered under its breath and I felt magic begin to surge from it as it began being cloaked in the same magic affecting the others, it is now that I should take action.

"THAT IS ENOUGH! THE NIGHTMARE ENDS HERE!" I yelled in the Royal Canterlot Voice as I used my dream magic to reset the dreamer's mind back to the blank, empty void of dreamless sleep. In the center of the Dream Void I saw the small metal dragon curled up in a ball and I could hear the sobs coming from it. I approached the creature carefully as I heard the sobs stop and the creature began to stand, some kind of liquid running down its face.

" Why, why save a failure like me, I wish I could just die. I failed the Primary Directive." The creature didn't seem threatening to anything but itself.

"I am Luna, the Guardian of Dreams, who are you, and what was this nightmare."

"I am Judgement Bias. The planet was the home I failed to save, I failed to save my people, I-"

"Stop, that is enough, tell me, did you try your best?"

"Yes, but-"

"No buts, I assume the big ones destroyed your home?"

"Your correct, they were three of the Big Ten, which were capable of snuffing out Universes." I was shocked at the destructive capabilities of his kind but I hid it well, and continued forward.

" So, a Universe ending monster, in fact three of them, come and destroy your people, how is this your fault." Judgement paused, seeming to think, after some time he sighed, and said,

" I don't know," Then realization hits him, his head pops up, instantly alert. " What am I doing!" Then he seemed to stand still for a second and suddenly he falls to his knees in pain. I rush over to help but then he stops and a glowing ball is in his claws.

"Urgh! I got it, I don't know why I made this wretched piece of code." He then crushed it in his hands.

" I am sorry, I have thought these incredulous thoughts, I should not have done what I did." I think he forget I was here, so I let out a "ahem" which caused him to turn to me.

" How did you get in here!"

" A purple wisp let me in, saying you needed my help." Then, I felt another presence enter the dream.

"Something else is here, Alicorn, stay behind me, I am stronger than you."

"My name is Luna, and that things magic, whatever it is, seems stronger than mine and yours combined!"

" I have some words to say on this matter" I heard a thud in front of us as my dream magic was over powered almost easily. The dreamscape then shifted to a grassy plain. Judgement gasped in shock at the creature before us. It was a dragon, scales darker than any void, and shining purple eyes. It seemed at ease and dangerous at the same time, and was several times bigger than Judgement.

" My child, I come here to give you a choice, however, Luna cannot be here for it."

I suddenly felt magic wrap around me and force me to flee the dream however that is not all that happened. Visions of memories of this Judgement Bias, flowed through me, I had gained an understanding of who he is, and the memories that made him. I saw the final battle, where he defeated a god among his kind. I saw Daring Do, who helped him to understand what Equestria is. This felt wrong, however, I welcomed it, as I felt I did not have a choice in receiving the memories. Then I was met with the door as the chains rapidly wrapped it back up. I understood what the Void Master, the being who I now understand allowed this to happen, wanted. It wished for me to help this lost soul however I could, which I would do, but first I will tell my sister about this in the morning.

Ponyville Outskirts, Judge POV

I woke up on the outskirts of Ponyville, my eyes quickly scanning the area. I confirmed that nobody would ever know I was here. I return quickly to the castle to watch the rising Sun.

"I will protect this place however I can, and I will not regret my decision to continue living. I must remain headstrong and vigilant." I thought to myself as I sensed movement in the lower levels. So I knock on the door to be greeted by a little dragon named Spike, Twilight's little brother and number one assistant.

"Hey Judge what are you doing out here? I thought you said you would stay inside?"

" I did, however, I wished to complete a map of the closer areas of the Everfree for future use." I go inside and think about the Void Master's words, he believes in me, so I believe in myself, I shall continue to fight for what I believe is right. Nothing and no one can tell me otherwise.

That's chapter 4! I know this chapter was a little sad and depressing, however next chapter will be lighter and also will feature Judge mopping the floor with some bad guys, which will be fun to write and read. That's all I got to say so comment whatever down below and I'll try to read them all.
