Ragtag and Shooting Star

“Why Dad?” Ragtag grumpily asked her father while walking with her younger sibling and mother down a trail. It is early in the morning; Ragtag and Shooting Star, twins of Rainbow Dash and Soarin were being brought to their Aunt Fluttershy’s house by their parents.  Today, the Wonderbolts are going preform at Canterlot so, Rainbow Dash and Soarin won’t be back till Midnight since then their twins has nopony to babysit them while they were performing.  Fluttershy on the other hoof, offered to babysit the twins.  “Didn’t we tell you girls a week ago?” Rainbow Dash asked her daughter looking confused.  “Yeah mom, but we want to go with you!” cried Shooting Star.  “Sorry girls we can’t take you, we explained this to you a week ago.”  Soarin calmly answered his daughters.  They passed over the bridge that leads to the yellow Pegasus house and was greeted by her before they even reached her door step.

“Hello, I was expecting you four to show up” Fluttershy cheerfully said to Rainbow’s Family.  “Thanks Fluttershy, I owe you.” Rainbow hugged Fluttershy.  “Yeah, thanks Fluttershy.”  Soarin thanked her also. “Oh no problem, these little angels wouldn’t be hard to handle unlike last time.” She told Dash and Soarin.  “Yeah don’t worry, they won’t repeat the same mistake as last time, they learned their lesson.” Dash said chuckling remembering what happened when Ragtag and Shooting Star pranked their Aunt Fluttershy.  “Think we should be start heading soon honey?” asked Soarin.  Dash nodded and went up to Ragtag and Shooting Star.  “You two behave yourselves now.” Dash wrapped her wings around them and ruffled their manes.  “Don’t worry mom, we will.” Ragtag smiled as her mother and father began to exit the doorway.  “Take care and enjoy yourselves!” Fluttershy yelled as he waved her hoof to Dash and Soarin as they flew towards Cloudsdale.

“So what do you want to do?” Fluttershy asked the two blue Pegasus fillies as she walked them to the couch.  “Nothing aunt Fluttershy, it’s so BORING!!”  Shooting Star said sadly.  Fluttershy looked around to see if there is anything fun for Ragtag and Shooting Star to play with.  Suddenly, she remembered a board game that the fillies seemed to enjoy last time when she watched them.  “How about a little game of Chutes and Ladders with your aunt Fluttershy?” she asked joyfully.  “Sure thing Aunt Fluttershy!” Ragtag replied.  Fluttershy smiled and began to go upstairs.  “Good, now you two stay there until I get the game.” Without a word, she continued to her room.

“Hey, this is our chance to follow mom and dad!” Shooting Star told Ragtag.  “Are you sure about this, Canterlot is kinda far and Aunt Fluttershy would be worried sick!” exclaimed Ragtag.  “Don’t worry; I remember how to get there.” Her sister told her sister.  “Well if we go, we should get back before mom and dad pick us up so we just have to watch them so we won’t get in trouble.” Shooting Star told her the plan.  “Okie Dokie then we should go before Aunt Fluttershy comes back.” Ragtag said.  The twins looked around the room and saw an open window so that they can escape to their way to Canterlot. Moments later, Fluttershy was walking down stairs. “Girls, I got Chutes and…….” Fluttershy stopped and realized that Ragtag and Shooting Star was missing.

It was only one hour before the show began and Soarin got out of the dressing room with his uniform on. The Wonderbolts are performing in Canterlot which has a beautiful sight of Ponyville. As he was staring off the horizon, Rainbow Dash wrapped her forehoof around him unexpectedly which startled him. “You think that we will impress everypony out there?” Rainbow Dash asked him.  “I’m sure baby.”  Soarin replied and gave Dash a kiss in her cheek.  “What about Ragtag and Star?” she asked nervously.  “No worries, I’m pretty sure the kids are doing great with Fluttershy.” Soarin began to smile. As their muzzles are right next to each other, eyes locking and hooves touching, they heard somepony calling out to them. It was Fluttershy who had tears in her eyes and was running up to Dash and Soarin.  “Rainbow Dash, I’m sorry!” She began to hug Dash.  What’s the matter Fluttershy?” Dash she asked her looking very concerned.  “It was Ragtag and Shooting Star, They left the house and I looked everywhere in Ponyville…..” She cried.  Rainbow Dash and Soarin were both speechless, it took a while to absorb the thought of their daughters gone to sink through.

What seem like hours, Rainbow Dash began to say something until one of the Wonderbolts Member was walking towards them with two fillies.  “Any of these fillies belongs to you?” As the stallion with the orange coat and red mane smiled.  Rainbow Dash and Soarin both ran up to their daughters.  “What on earth are you doing here!?!” Dash yelled at her two fillies who are looking guilty.  “I found them at the Snack Bar and I knew that they gotta be your fillies. “As the orange stallion said.  “Thanks Trace.” Soarin thanked him.  “My pleasure, Captain.”  As he began to salute to Soarin and walked away .  Dash began to form tears in her eyes.  “Why did you leave Aunt Fluttershy?” She began to yell at the twins? “Did You know what could happen if he hasn't found you?”  As she spoke, Ragtag began to speak as she was horrified. “Sorry Mom and Dad, I thought that if we see you earlier, you can spend more time with us because we love you.” As she cried.  Dash realized that she and Soarin haven’t been spending quality time with their kids. Dash began to look at Ragtag, Shooting Star, Fluttershy and Soarin.  Dash suddenly grabbed Ragtag and Shooting Star and held on them tightly as he she sobbed, Soarin also join in with the family group hug.  “We love you too, Sorry that we been too busy to notice you.” Rainbow Dash said as she began to smile again.  “Why don’t you watch us perform with your Aunt Fluttershy?”
