FLASH SENTRY THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN ISSUE #1 Written By: SpideyFlash
"Flash. FLASH! "
A kid. A seventeen-year-old kid is startled awake. Startled by a deep and gravely voice. His eyes promptly open and he lets out a startled, yet very exhausted "Huh" He looks over to his left where he saw his Father. Arms folded, sternly look on his face. The kid blinks a few times. Letting out a yawn before responding.
"Morning."
"You're darn right it is." His father. A brown-haired man wearing a suit replied. "Your mother and I have been trying to call you for ten minutes. You don't wanna be late on your first day do you?"
The kid looked at his clock. It'd originally been set to 7:00 and it was already 7:21. He rubbed his eyes again. Getting a clearer look at it. Both his eyebrows rose at the realization.
"Oh...."
"Yeah. Now come on. Get up and get ready. Your Mom made breakfast." His father started for the door. Exiting the room and closing the door behind him.
Flash Sentry. The kid sitting in bed beneath the covers. With blue distinctive hair. The very, very tardy student. Sighed. "Man even now I still suck at this."
Flash ran down the stairs. Now having put on a basic navy jumper and jeans. His hair was less messy but still spiky nonetheless. He went straight to the table. It was there his father sat, on a tablet reading the daily news. His mother meanwhile, manned the stove. Cooking the last meal for herself. She had the same distinctive blue hair as Flash. She wore her regular. A tank top and grey sweatpants.
Upon seeing Flash come downstairs in a hurry. She chuckled, making a sarcastic remark. "So uh, what's the rush. You got school or something."
Flash's stopped, midway through pulling up a chair for himself. "Very funny. Are you two really gonna not let me live this one down."
His Dad chuckled while keeping his eyes fixed on the screen. "Well taking into account all the other times we've been through this. Which approximately adds up to 1095 whole days minus the 156 Weekends since you started High School. Then yes, we really won't let you live this one down."
Flash sat in the chair and rolled his eyes before going ham on his breakfast. "No mercy."
His Mom. Named Sabrina Sentry. Chuckled again before turning back to the stove. "Well, Flash think of it as a trait that comes from your Dad."
Flash's father nearly choked on some egg he'd already put in his mouth. Glancing at his wife. Speaking with his mouthful. "What?"
She turned around giving him a smug smile. "Oh yeah. When Lucas was your age he'd practically rush into morning classes at the last minute. Not to mention all the dates he kind of also came late to."
Flash's Dad, Lucas. Had his mouth hang wide open. Giving her the 'wow how could you' look. Meanwhile Flash began to snicker.
"Wow, Dad. Seems like the tables have turned." Said Flash.
Lucas rolled his eyes and folded arms. Giving Flash a smirk. "Okay, Wise Guy, enough with the slick evil act." He put all his attention back onto the Tablet. However, something came to mind and he glanced back at Flash. "But speaking of school. Do you want a ride? I'm heading to work anyways."
Flash looked at the Clock that stood above their television. It was almost 7:50 and a free ride did seem pretty great so he nodded. "Yeah sure."
Lucas grinned. "See what happens when we come to a mutual agreement. "
Flash chuckled shaking his head. "Oh brother."
Canterlot High
7:50 AM
Canterlot High. The only resident High School in the suburbs of Canterlot City. The schoolyard was flooded with students. As the first day of school had arrived. With tons more flooding in.
One particular student. A girl with long and very unique red and yellow hair beelined across the schoolyard. Spotting one of her friends in the distance.
Twilight Sparkle. Resident Genius and a member of one of the hottest High School Bands out right now, "The Rainbooms." Was on her phone. Alternating between texting her friends and her boyfriend. That was until she felt someone completely piggyback her. Along with that, cover her Glasses. She screamed as she didn't know what was going on.
"GAH! PLEASE, I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT. BUT I HAVE SPARE CHANGE IN MY BAG SOMEWHERE. JUST DON'T--"
A slight raspy female voice interrupted the freaked out girl. "Hey, Twi! What's up."
Twilight was about to continue screaming. But after hearing the voice she recognized who it was. "Oh...Hey Sunset.......wait. SUNSET?!"
The girl that 'jumped her'. Sunset Shimmer got off of Twilight's back. Twilight almost immediately went in for a hug. Jumping up and down while repeating the words "Oh My Gosh!" over and over again. Getting a laugh out of Sunset.
When they broke off the hug. Twilight right then and there asked about Sunset's summer. "Oh my god. It's felt like forever since we talked. How've you been? How was Equestria?"
Sunset stretched her arms and replied. "It was kinda like my first summer here. I haven't been there in so long I kinda forgot what it was like. Anyway, how about you?"
"Well, I did some college tours. Honestly, it's between ESU or CTU. And well you know...kinda went up north to Everfree to stay with Timber for a few days."
Sunset chuckled. Folding her arms and giving Twilight a smug look. "Of course you did."
"Shut up." Twilight giggled, "And let me say: I'm never undermining the greatness of cottages ever again! It was great!"
"Oh yeah? Just the two of you alone in a cottage up north?"
Twilight sighed and pointed both hands at Sunset. "Only a few minutes and you're already doin' this to me."
Sunset shrugged very carefree. "I cant help it"
Meanwhile in the just beside the sidewalk. A 2001 Black Camaro pulled up. In it was Flash and his Father. Flash chuckled looking at the time on his phone. "And just in the nick of time." He was about to open the door and head for the schoolyard. That was until he was stopped by his Dad.
"Wait Flash! Wait."
Flash glanced at his Dad confused. "Yeah?"
His Dad sighed. Putting his hand on Flash's shoulder and giving him a genuine smile. "I just wanted to let you know. That me and your Mother are really proud of everything you've accomplished over the past few years. Now I know I've joked about you going to Canterlot Tech. But in all seriousness. Whichever College or University you choose. We'll stand by your decision and send you off proudly knowing that you're happy with it. And when this is all said and done and when you move out. Our door is always opened for you to come back at any time."
Flash exchanged the same smile. Nodding. "Thanks."
Lucas's smile only grew wider. He gave Flash a pat on the shoulder. "Alrighty. Uh, remember you still live under our roof. So curfew is 8:00 sharp. Stay out of trouble and have fun!"
Flash exited the vehicle and waived to his Father. Watching the vehicle drive off into the distance. He turned around heading towards the building with a positive attitude.
That's when in the distance, his gaze fell onto the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. The one in the distance with that distinctive red and yellow hair. That girl. Sunset Shimmer. His lips formed a flustered smile and his cheeks went a little red. "Sunset....Shimmer..."
Then, he fell forward. His eyes widened by surprise as he tripped on someone's foot. He yelped.
"Woah!"
He fell to the ground where he was then met by laughs. But he recognized those laughs instantly. It was his Bully and his cronies. Curly Winds. The Star Quarterback for the Wondercolts Football team. Flash's eyes narrowed. "Yup. This is Canterlot High alright. Aw man just when I thought things were looking good too!
Curly Winds. A much more physically imposing teen with dark blue curly hair and light blue skin. He laughed with his cronies. Laughing at Flash's expense. "Gee this never gets old."
Flash sighed. "Hey there. Curly Winds."
The Jock picked up Flash by the collar. Putting him on his feet. But then he proceeded to give him a noogie. "Ey Sentry! Long time no see. How was your summer? Did ya learn how to stand on both feet? "
"No--"
"Uhhhvvveee course not !" Curly Winds interjected. "Still the same gullible dumbass as always." He turned to look at one of his cronies. A kid with the same dark blue hair but lighter blue skin. Sporting a soccer jacket. "Ey did you know that this kid is the geekiest guy on planet earth."
Soarin, his cronies sarcastically shrugged and responded. "Nah I ain't know that shit man."
Curly Winds let go of Flash laughing off everything he did and walking past him with his cronies. Flash regained his composure. Glaring at Curly Winds while he wasn't looking. "Just one more year Flash. You can make it!"
Canterlot High's Hallways were crowded, to say the least. Everyone was talking to one and other. Most topics of discussions were usually about the first days of a new school year. Mainly the subject of other people's summers. Or how the freshmen were entering a 'New Chapter in their lives' and that they were scared. The usual.
Flash made his way through the crowded hall to his assigned locker. The same one he had had for three years. The same lock combo and everything. He put his backpack on the ground and began rotating the dial to the lock.
While he wasn't looking. He was approached by a student. Micro Chips. Another resident intellectual of Canterlot High. In the eyes of some other students, he was your typical cliché nerdy student. "Y'Know you don't have to keep the same locker. Right?"
Flash turned around. Smiling at the student. "Well yeah. But I also don't wanna memorize a locker combo every year. Soooo, Imma just keep this one. He glanced away for a moment to throw his jacket in the locker. Closing it and glancing right back at Micro Chips. "So what's new with you?"
The two began walking in the same direction despite the fact they had different first-period classes. "Not much since our last confrontation a week ago."
"Besides carrying a thesaurus?"
The two turned around to see their other friend. A much taller kid with green dreadlocks and a red beanie. He pretty much had a hipster-Esque look going on. To add to that he was one of the eco-kids of the school. Serious of how the environment is treated.
He caught up with the two. Continuing from before. "Cause let's face it, bro. You use words that are never said in a casual sentence. Like ever."
Micro Chips shrugged. "The teachers like it. I'm contempt with it. I see this as an absolute win Sandalwood."
"Whatever you say, man." He cleared his voice. Changing his tone to a sarcastic one. "So, how was your summer's?"
Flash chuckled. Smugly glancing at Sandalwood. "You mean for the parts you weren't there for?"
Sandalwood shrugged to that. Giving himself praise. "I'm Hilarious."
The first bell rang. Meaning all students had better get to class. Flash glanced at both his friends. "Well, I better get going. I'll Catch up with you guys later." They both nodded and all went their separate ways.
Flash walked down the hall for a while before finally stopping at his first class. "Alright, Twelfth-grade Geography....Studies of World Issues." He looked at the gold plaque on the door. To see who'd he be having for a whole semester. That's when his shoulders dropped. "Mrs. Harshwhinny." He sighed, "Oh man I do not have a good feeling about this."
He walked through the door of Room 165-G. Looking inside to see the class that he'd have for the rest of the semester. So far, it looked pretty great. No sign of Curly Winds or any of his cronies. Most of the class were either student he'd never talk to before, a small number of new students and.
"SUNSET SHIMMER?!"
The same girl from before. The one he stared at from afar, was in his class. He stood there dumbfounded. Not believing what his eyes were seeing.
Of course, she didn't sit alone. With her was one of her friends. Applejack. A blonde farm girl wearing a straw Stenson hat and some flannel. Leaning back into her chair with her feet on the table. Casually conversating with Sunset Shimmer. Flash stood there at the doorway, staring directly at her. Losing any focus he had before.
Until...
"Excuse me......HEY!"
Flash's eyes widened as he was startled for the second time. He turned around to see his Geography Teacher. A tan-skinned lady with short blonde hair. With a clad of a purple blazer and skirt. And a very sour demeanour with a very gruff voice. Flash's shoulders dropped at the sight of Ms. Harshwinny. His Geography teacher.
"Uhhh..." He raised his hand and put on a nervous smile. "Hi there, Ms. Harshwhinny."
The teacher sighed. Crossing her arms, "Mr. Sentry. What is the one rule that I've established for all my classes?"
"Umm...." Flash nervously giggled. "That standing and or moping around isn't an option?"
Her lips formed a smile. "See, you've already done me one favour. Now if you could do another and just use your head and find a seat " There was a hiss at the s of 'seat'. Causing Flash to wince. But Harshwhinny regained her composure afterward. "Then we can all get started with class."
The very scared and wide-eyed Sentry slowly nodded. Turning around, he marched towards an open desk. It was right at the front of the class. It was the only desk with two empty seats but luckily for an introvert such as Flash. He plopped his bag on the desk and sat right down.
Just as the bell rang. A Rainbow Blur quickly dashed through the doorway. It stopped, revealing Rainbow Dash. The too athlete of Canterlot High. And the self-proclaimed queen of awesome. She cheered for herself upon entering the classroom.
"YES!" She put her arms in the air. "I made it! Wasn't late for a second"
Harshwhinny sighed. Pinching the temples of her nose. "Misses Dash. Starting off the year on a tardy note I see."
Rainbow Dash's eyes widened while she kept her proud grin on her face. She turned around and nervously chuckled. "Uhh...Ms. Harshwhinny. Um, you see I kinda had a late morning so I uh. Yeah, that's my excuse. Um, you know this Summer really wore me out."
"Mmm yes, I'm sure your so-called 'excuse' would make for an excellent English Report in Mrs. Cheerilee's class."
Rainbow Dash's face lit up. Promptly giving the Teacher a prideful look. "Well that means a lot to--"
"Would you take a seat! " Harshwhinny interjected. "Please , might I add."
Rainbow Dash's eyes went wide again. She quickly nodded before turning around and grabbing the closest seat. Right next to Flash.
Flash glanced at Rainbow Dash. He glanced away a second later. He honestly didn't mind her there. Rainbow Dash meanwhile, glanced back at Sunset and Applejack. The two of which were quietly snickering at Rainbow Dash's expense. Prompting the Rainbow maned girl to simply stick out her middle finger as a response. Only adding fuel to the fire.
Ms. Harshwhinny closed the door and walked towards the chalkboard. Introducing herself to the students. "Class. As most of you know by now. I am Ms. Harshwhinny of the English and Social Sciences Department of the school. And for this Semester I will be your Teacher." She wrote her name on the chalkboard, along with the Course Code. She turned around to further address the class. "By now, most of you have had me for Tenth Grade Academic English. So most of my rules and teaching styles should be fond of you. But for those new here. I have a few rules:
Standing and or moping around isn't an option. We do something new every day whether you like it or not.
Don't talk during lessons.
If you aren't here, then check in on our class website for work or lessons the day before.
Make sure to have a valid reason on why you were away
During work weeks, I give most of my students till the end of the week to hand in any unfinished work.
If you're disruptive at where you sit I will move you. No threats are given whatsoever.
No being on your phones during class time. Unless permitted
No eating during class.
No drinking anything but water during class.
If you're late you'll owe me the number of minutes it took you to get to class, after class.
No taking long washroom breaks. The same rule applies to be late.
Every Report should be in Academic Paper Format. (If you don't know what that is, look it up on your own time)
But other than that you should be good for the semester." She smiled.
Some of the newer students stared at the chalkboard wide-eyed at the 'few rules' Ms. Harshwhinny introduced to them. Meanwhile, the other students all seemed to be contempt with all of those rules as they had to follow all of that a while back.
"Now, let's hope you all have a good memory." She promptly erased the chalkboard and with that, her name and all the rules. "Because without further due. We will begin class immediately with an in-depth analysis and introduction on this course and some work that'll be due tomorrow." She pulled down the projector screen. Walking over to the desk at the corner of the class, she started for the computer. "Just conversate while I get everything in order. But don't get too loud."
Flash opened his bag, reaching for his notebook and a binder. But upon sticking his hand in there, he only found one of the two items. His eyes widened. "Oh no." He rose from his seat a little and leaned forward, just enough to see in his bag. His shoulders dropped to only seeing that his notebook was the item in his bag. He sighed again. "Oh my god I forgot my Binder!? A man so much for a perfect first day!"
He collapsed back into his seat. Pulling out his notebook he simply dropped it on the table and opened the first page. He pulled a pencil out of his pant pocket. A custom of his, before promptly pulling his chair in. He then began doodling up a title page for his notebook. Something that'd help him pass the time.
It was there, Rainbow Dash finally realized who she was sitting next to. She smiled, giving Flash a greeting. "Hey, Flash. Didn't see ya there."
Flash glanced at her upon hearing the greeting. "Oh...hey."
Rainbow Dash leaned back in her chair. Deciding to start a little small talk with him as a means to pass the time. "Man, Harshwhinny am I right?"
Flash shrugged in response. Cracking a small smirk. "I mean, she's not so bad."
"Not so bad?" Rainbow Dash replied. "Uh, I'm not sure about that one chief. I mean she's kinda uh..." She didn't know how she could put it nicely, Harshwhinny wasn't exactly her favourite teacher. Though at the same time, she could not muster up anything too profane for her case. "Well I mean you've seen how she acts, right?"
Flash shrugged again and responded "I mean...I guess. But maybe there's a justifiable reason for it."
Before Rainbow Dash could respond. The teacher called for everyone's attention. "Okay, class. Now let us begin with our presentation." The two looked away and glanced at the projection screen. "This is, Studies on World Issues."
The clock had now struck at 10:25 AM. Flash had powered through two classes already. Geography and English. The two were mostly chill classes. Aside from Geography, Flash's English teacher: Mrs. Cheerilee. Seemed pretty nice and wasn't as strict.
But now. This is where the fun began for Flash. "Finally! 12 U Physics. This is gonna be a blast!
Entering the classroom. He searched the room for his friends. The class was quite packed. Flash smiled at the fact. "Looks like other people have the same great taste in classes."
Then. Hearing his name being called out. He turned around to see Micro Chips and Sandalwood waving at him. In between the two was a seat that they saved for Flash. The Blue-headed teen smirked. Starting for the middle row desks. He sat down in the open seat. Plopping his bag beside the chair and addressing the two.
"What's up nerds?"
Micro Chips chuckled. "Takes one to know one."
Flash let out a chuckle himself. Turning around to address the elephant in the room, "And since when have you ever taken University level courses?"
Sandalwood folded his arms. "Since you, two F-Wads decided that you were too good for eleventh-grade college courses." He then leaned back in his seat. "And besides. I easily aced most of those classes. How hard can University courses be?"
"You passed with B's" Micro Chips pointed out.
Sandalwood glared at Micro Chips. Flailing his arms around. "Yeah, that's still good! Alright were all not born geniuses you... Fuckin'.... Point Dexter!"
Micro Chips chuckled. "Whatever you say, hippie ."
Sandalwood gave Micro Chips the finger. Getting a laugh out of both Flash and Micro Chips.
Then came another student entering the classroom. Twilight Sparkle. She searched around the room for a seat. But in doing so. She spotted Micro Chips. Her School Rival. A mischievous smirk grew on her face as she began to approach the student.
Flash and Micro Chips were still laughing at Sandalwood. Seeing him mad and agitated was like watching comedy at it's finest. Anytime Sandalwood is angry. It's funny to watch. But, they were then interrupted. Interrupted by fists slamming onto a desk.
The three all were startled by it. But upon seeing whose fists it were. Micro Chips' lips formed a smirk. Glancing up at Twilight, narrowing his eyes on her. "Looks like someone's come back for revenge."
Twilight leaned forward. Hissing at him. "You may have gotten the higher Grade Point Average, last year Micro Chips! But I just got a late start, that's all! This time, you're going down."
"Whatever you, say . Twilight!"
She leaned back. Walking away with. She spotted both Flash and Sandalwood. Her tone thereafter changed. Turning a lot more friendly in demeanour. Nodding to both "Flash, Sandalwood."
She walked away. Leaving the two Vincent Tong-voiced teens speechless. Meanwhile, the James Kirk-voiced teen who bore a poker face in all that. Crossing his arms as he watched her leave.
Flash glanced at Micro Chips. Commenting on the new elephant in the room. "What...was that?"
"Hmm?" Micro Chips glanced at him. "Oh, pfft. Nothing , don't worry about it."
"But--"
"It's nothing." Micro Chips persisted. "Were just having a friendly competition. Nothing more."
Sandalwood sarcastically chuckled. "Yeah. Friendly. Both of you looked like Kareem and Wilt."
"Sandalwood, think nerds here." Flash joked.
Micro Chips rolled his eyes and gave Flash the finger. "Fuck off."
Again. Like most other classes. It was mainly just an introductory class. But of course, he did end up with some paper-work so to speak. Not anything that would take years and years. But it would probably take a while to finish up. Especially given the fact that he hasn't used his Brain productively in a while.
But finally, came the break period. The one time where Flash could relax and reflect on the morning.
Lunch!
The Cafeteria was, as usual. Filled to the brim with students. Both apprehensive and gung ho about this time of day. Flash along with his two other friends made their way through the cafeteria. Finding a table to reside at.
"And that's why iPhones are trash."
Micro Chips arched his eyebrow. Shooting a quizzical look at Sandalwood, "So you're telling me, that the iPhone. The most innovative phone of the 21st Century is trash because you think Apple is purposely slowing it down."
"Yup." Sandalwood nodded.
Micro Chips let out a long and heavy sigh. "You do know that any device tends to slow down over the years, right?"
"Pfft, that's what you think." Sandalwood promptly pulled out his new phone. A bezel-less android phone. "But this thing is where it's at."
"Oh yeah, a big bezel-less phone." Micro Chips rolled his eyes, "Look it's not just about aesthetics. The iPhone gets the job done, it's also a lot more secure than an Android."
Sandalwood glanced at Flash. "Ey, you're on my side right?"
"Oh no!" Flash shook his head. Promptly pulling out his daily driver. A phone with a vibrant yellow shell. "I switched to Windows Phone a long time ago! Ain't no way I'm throwing myself in Apple vs Android!"
The two looked even more baffled at Flash than they were themselves.
"Windows?!" "Windows?!"
Flash rolled his eyes, "HEY! I'll have you know that this is Lumia 1020! This shit cost me!"
Micro Chips again was still pretty baffled by this development. "Flash seriously, who in their right minds would get a Windows Phone."
"Well, at least I'm trying something new ." Flash retorted, "Alright what do you have, Oh! You're Space Grey iPhone 7 and uh, You're Pale Purple S9."
Sandalwood rolled his eyes, retorting back. "First of all it's Lilac . And at least mines does not look like a Banana."
"Well, at least mines is a Primary Color ." Flash promptly put his phone away. "But still, I ain't trying to go back to the whole Apple vs Android. I'm Windows all the way."
Micro Chips sighed to that. "Alright, now that we know Flash is senile. How about we actually eat Lunch."
Flash rolled his eyes. Mumbling quietly to himself. "Y'all disrespecting The Windows Phone like that..."
The pair all pulled out their own respective Lunch Boxes. And needless to say, they all had varying Lunches...
For Flash, he packed a club sandwich and a Juice Box for himself. Sandalwood packed himself a Tofu Salad and can of Coconut Water. And finally, Micro Chips packed himself a thermos containing his drink of choice and a Wrap.
Flash glanced at Sandalwood's lunch, letting out a chuckle. "Well, I can't say I'm totally surprised."
"What?!" Sandalwood shrugged, "Alright don't you dare judge my lunch! Tofu Salad is lit as fuck!"
Flash rolled his eyes, "Yeah, whatever you say, hippie." Flash then glanced at Micro Chips' lunch. "So whatchu got in the thermos chief?"
"Oh...uh you know. Just some juice I whipped up earlier."
Flash quirked an eyebrow. "Why?"
"Because...I felt like it." Micro Chips responded. "I don't know Flash, it seemed rather obvious."
Promptly, he twisted the cap off, revealing the "smoothie" in his question. And needless to say, it was an...interesting looking...substance.
Specifically, it was a lime green colour. Flash widened his eyes too that, it wasn't the fact that it looked disgusting or anything. It was just that...there was something unnatural about how it looked to him. "Uh...What kind of juice is that?"
"Avacado Juice."
Sandalwood's eyes lit up. A grin forming thereafter. "Aw, Bro. I love Avacado Juice!"
Flash rolled his eyes. "Of course you do." He stared intently at the beverage. "Does that even taste good or....what?--Wait why would you have Avacado Juice in a thermos."
"Flash." Said Micro Chips. "Since when did you judge other people's personal preference. Seeing how you like Pineapple Pizza ."
Flash sighed, seeing where the conversation was heading. So he merely threw in the towel and let Micro Chips win. "Whatever." Flash opened the plastic bag containing his Sandwich, being pretty gung ho to be finally sinking his teeth into it. "Aw man, this is gonna be good!"
Soon enough, the pair began to eat their respective lunches. No matter Flash's opposing perception was, they more or less enjoyed the relaxing time.
"So, you guys excited for the CTU trip?" Flash asked, "I mean field trips early in the year are cool right?"
Micro Chips shrugged, "Meh, I've kinda seen it all at this point."
Flash rolled his eyes, "Well of course you have." He glanced at Sandalwood, "What about you?"
Sandalwood emulated the gesture as Micro Chips. Shrugging as well, "Honestly dude, I'm kinda not feeling the "field trip vibe" all that much anymore. I mean we're still going to work there more or less. It's just a day at school....at another school."
Flash wasn't so much as shocked, maybe a little astonished though. "What? Come on, guys! I mean we're gonna watch Radioactivity Demonstration, that's basically one of the coolest things ever!
"If you say so" "If you say so" The latter replied.

The trio that was Flash Sandalwood and Micro Chips were all hanging out at his places. And needless to say, of the three Micro Chips, probably had the most "flexing ability" His house was big, real big. His room was like a loft in comparison to Flash's or Sandalwood's.
The reason? Well turns out his father is the owner of a Giant Corporation and it became pretty successful over time. Resulting in mass wealth.
Anyways, the three were all working on their separate assignments. As of course twelfth grade showed no mercy whatsoever. Flash was working on an English Report, Sandalwood was sketching something up for his Art Class and Micro Chips was held up with Math.
The three had been pretty social for the most part while working through their work. Having alternated from a few different conversations.
"Sooo...are any of you planning on going to the Fall Formal?" Flash asked. "I mean people have been talking about it a lot."
Micro Chips was sitting on his bed, eyes on the textbook while he worked through a word-problem. "Oh yeah, you know if we had those things . Uh, what are they called...Oh yeah, dates ."
"I mean I was just asking." Flash chortled, "I mean I'm probably not gonna go either."
Sandalwood chuckled, rolling his eyes. "Well, you losers can speak for yourselves."
Flash quirked his eyebrow, turning his head to his other friend. "What you're going to?"
"Well not yet." Sandalwood raised his index finger. "But, give me like a...week and I'll have a date!"
Flash rolled his eyes, "I'd pity the poor soul."
Sandalwood couldn't help but scowl at his friend, giving him the finger. "Hey, at least I'm actually confident enough to try something. Unlike you two dipshits."
Micro Chips rolled his eyes. Crossing his arms and forming a cocky smile on his lips. "Hey, I had a Girlfriend once...In First Grade."
Suddenly, Flash's phone started to ring. Promptly, he pulled it out to see that it was a text from his Mother. He sighed, "Well I better get going." He put all his school stuff in his bag, promptly getting up. "See y'all."
CircoVision Laboratories

A windy night had fallen onto Canterlot City. For the most part, the city was active. As it usually was. A lot of places were still opened to accompany the activeness for the most part, but a lot of places were also closed for the night
CircoVision Laboratories being one of them. It was closed for the night. But Security lingered in their respective part of the building, "overlooking" surveillance.
Quote on Quote because the guards on the job were...not doing their job. Take Tom and Steve for example, instead of doing their job, they were playing cards to pass the time. As based on their instincts, they more or less got paid for sitting in a room for Eight Hours a night.
"Oh fuck off!" Steve growled, throwing his cards away, "That's bullshit, Tom! How do you keep winning every fucking game!"
Tom merely shrugged. "Hey man, don't hate the player , hate the game ."
"Tom, Shut the fuck up!" The losing guard snarled. "You're not slick, at all!"
The latter quickly burst out into a fit of laughter. Of the two, his co-worker was a lot less level-headed than he was. So watching him go off like that was just funny on its own.
But things quickly took a turn for the worst!
Just as Tom was laughing, one of the cameras picked up on what appeared to sound like shattered glass. Because the next thing they knew, the alarms went off.
Both guards were completely caught off guard by it. Immediately changing the course of their conversation. "What the hell was that?!"
The two rose to their feet, running for the exit.
The alarm was flashing red light. A shadowy silhouette made it's way to the CircoVison Co. Lab and Research facility. It had smashed its way into the area, eyeing one thing in particular.
The item in question was a device of some sort, a veichle. Resembling that of a giant bat. In all, it's "titanium alloy" glory. With a turbine on each side of it.
The silhouette approached the device with no hesitation at all. So pretty much, the motive here was more than crystal clear.
But even if that was the case, the Security wasn't gonna go down without a fight.
Swarms, and I mean Swarms of Security guards flooded into the room. All carrying the typical artillery: a 9 mm pistol.
"FREEZE!" Shouted one of the guards. "BACK AWAY FROM THE GLIDER!"
The figure turned his head, getting a glance at all of them. Electing to stay completely silent. Just staring at them in complete silence.
"SIR, IF YOU DO NOT COMPLY THEN WE WILL SHOOT!"
Nothing. The figure just stood there silently, amid the flashing light. Standing a meter or two away from his desired item. It looked to be that the odds were against him on this one. Judging by the situation he found himself in.
But the complete opposite happened...
He knew that all eyes were on him. But he had prepared for this ahead of time, seeing how he held his diversion in his hand. And what made it all the much better was the fact that the sounds of the items "beeps" were masked by the loud ringing of the alarm.
The figure quickly threw the item at the guards, and by then it had been beeping for about a few seconds. The motion was so fast that none of the Security guards had time to even react to it. Because the next thing they knew...
BOOM!
The impact caused everyone to be knocked back, some colliding into walls, desks and whatnot. Dropping their guns in the process. Along with that, a bit of damage to the overall room itself.
It was only insulting that a fire had gone off, prompting the sprinkles to drizzle water out. But the upside was just as fruitful.
The "figure" was made a lot more clearer. A terrifying green figure with yellow eyes, a purple cap, top and boots. With a deranged smile and pointy ears.
He laughed maniacally to the whole scene, "Sorry kiddies, but I have to get going now." In an impressive display of agility, he jumped back onto the Glider. Not even doing so much as trembling upon landing. "Toodles!"
The sounds of the turbine overpowered the alarm completely, as the glider began to hover up and ascend into the air.
"The Goblin", began to maneuver the glider up towards the ceiling. Right towards the glass ceiling in the lab. Suddenly, a slot opened just at the front of the glider, revealing two muzzles. And on command, they began to fire!
The glass shattered everywhere upon the Goblin destroying the whole thing. Letting shards fall past him and towards the ground. To that, his grin widened. The whole scene was just nothing but pure amusement to him. Flying off into the Night.
BREAKING NEWS
The Camera in the newsroom panned on two anchors. A male and female, both wearing the usual formal clad for their job.
"We have Breaking News on the hour." said the female anchor. "CircoVision Laboratories has reported a break-in and robbery tonight."
"Reportedly, a Military project was stolen from the facility tonight. We have Dan Zurski at the scene right now, Dan."
It quickly transitioned to a reporter who was wearing a checkered shirt. Standing behind the scene of flashing police lights and a few firetrucks. Holding a Microphone to his mouth, "Micheal, this robbery happened around half-past ten. What we know was that a Military project that had been the works for months had been stolen by the culprit, along with injuries sustained by some of the Security. What the police were also able to say that there appeared to be damage to other items in the facility, along with the fire that has just been put out earlier ago. At the moment we are still waiting on official word from the Owner, Kal Circuit Breaker. Micheal..."
"Thank you, Dan."
It transitioned back to the two anchors, where the female anchor promptly spoke. "Channel 9 news follows the story as it develops.....
Flash walked down the stairs. Having finally wakened up upon the noise of his alarm. He was in his usual clad, similar to yesterday.
He called out to his parents. "Good Morning." However, he didn't get the usual reply from either parent. Which already kinda "red flagish". He progressed forward. Walking into the kitchen, "Uh guys, I--"
"Shh!"
Flash stiffened up a little at the "greeting" his Mother responded to him with. Delivering that sound pretty assertively. Flash arched his eyebrows, his shoulders dropped a little and he craned his neck.
His mother wasn't playing around though. Pointing her thumb in the direction of his father. He was on the phone, and by the looks of it, he had a pretty serious look on his face.
Flash raised his eyebrows to that, staying quiet to observe himself.
"Kal, you need to calm dow.....I....yeah alright. Just do you know what was stolen?"
Flash looked back at his mother, who eventually sighed and gave him some context. "Something happened at CircoVision last night." She whispered. Your Father was just called an hour ago and ever since he and Mr. Circuit Breaker have been talking ever since."
"What happened?" Flash asked.
"Well I don't know , Flash. But what I do know is that you're gonna be late for school and by the looks of it, you're Dad is gonna be out of commission." She turned around, handing him an already prepared lunch bag. "I left you an extra sandwich for breakfast. You don't mind eating on your way, do you?"
Flash shrugged, "No. I think I'll be fine."
"Kay." Sabrina nodded. "Have a good day."

1 Week After CircoVison Robbery
"Aw Man, this is gonna be so awesome!" Flash beamed.
Micro Chips rolled his eyes, "Yeah...Flashing Lights and Radioactivity is gonna be real fun."
Flash glared at Micro Chips, giving him the finger. "Hey, you know what. This is gonna be real fun ! I mean it's not every day you get to see stuff like this." Micro Chips was about to open his mouth to speak. But Flash beat him to it, realizing the mistake in that sentence, "Okay, maybe except you !"
Micro Chips chuckled, "Whatever you say, Chief.
The Bus had finally pulled up onto Campus. Upon the stop, the teacher, a male in a casual clad of a blazer, slacks and loafers. Promptly got up and gave the class some orders. "Alright Everyone, I know this may sound redundant. But be on you're best behaviour. No funny business, alright?"
With the message out there, the rest of the class promptly got up. They all were in a line, getting out one by one.
Just as Flash got up, a certain redhead and her spectacled friend had done the same. Standing right in front of the Flash and the latter.
"Oh..." Flash widened his eyes, not expecting Sunset Shimmer to have even been in the spot she was. Why he cared at all you may be asking? Well, I think we all know, but even so, he managed to keep quiet.
The line was moving at the pace you'd expect:
Normal...
But things promptly got worse. Specifically, for Flash. Just as he took his next step, tragedy struck as he stepped on his untied shoelace. Something he hadn't even noticed beforehand. His eyes widened as he began to fell forward, promptly letting out a yelp. And to make matters worst, Poor Sunset got caught in the crossfire. Sunset gasped, feeling the unexpected force push her down as well. As the two both fell forward.
By then, Twilight had moved forward so she managed to evade the whole thing. But she had heard the gasp made by her friend, accompanied by Flash's yelp. Prompting her to turn around.
The pair fell onto the floor of the bus, not dropping anything in the process luckily. But still, it made for a pretty laughable scene...
At Flash's expense of course
Flash widened his eyes to realize what he had just done, staggering to his feet. "OH MY GOD! I am so sorry!"
Sunset though merely chuckled, not at all mad by the whole thing. She got to her feet, scratching the back of her head. "It's fine." She turned around to look at Flash, immediately seeing his untied right shoe, "Heh, you should probably tie that." She promptly walked off, unphased at what had just happened.
Flash's cheeks flushed red, completely embarrassed by the whole situation. Looking down at his own feet. Promptly slapping his hand over his forehead.
Meanwhile, Micro Chips and Sandalwood looked like they were about to piss their pants at the scene. Trying for the life of them to contain their laughter.
Flash heard it as he painstakingly progressed through the Bus. Looking over his shoulder to scowl at his friends. "OH SHU--"
They completely lost it. The two burst out into a fit of laughter regarding the even that had transpired, only making Flash more annoyed. Even when they got off the bus, the laughter was still very much present.
Flash grumbled, turning to look back at his friends once more. "ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT! I tripped and fell, big deal! "
However, that didn't even do as much as phase the two as they were too incoherent to let a word out. Flash grit his teeth to that, rolling his eyes and walking off. Catching up with the rest of the class, with the latter following soon after.
The three caught up with the rest of the class. Where they stood in front of a University Professor, a tall and lanky man with grey hair with two white streaks on each side. However, what really was unique about him wasn't his physical appearance. It was rather, the alteration...
On his back appeared to be four "robotic tentacles". Clearly, man-made limbs that were squirming and what not. A few students couldn't help but crack a few quiet laughs.
However, Flash knew who the man was. And he knew what those "tentacles" were all about. "Professor Discord. Man, dad always told me about how he won a Nobel prize for those arms. But damn, those things look a lot cooler in person!
Professor Discord let out a relaxed sigh. Speaking in a nonchalant tone. "Hello, their students. I am Professor Discord. And welcome to Canterlot Tech University." They all wasted no time, progressing forward. Following the "Octopus" man as some of the students would put it right now. "As you all know by now, you are here to watch a demonstration of Radioactive Energy in order to broaden your idea of Radioactivity and it's fundamentals."
They entered a Lab Facility. Where the demonstration was to take place. Inside, the students were greeted with the scene of many students and other teachers working on their own sperate projects. Watching the different interactions and conversations that were taking place.
However, just as the students were walking, they were then met with a pretty startling situation. "CODE 754! I REPEAT CODE 754!"
The visitors along with Professor Discord all turned their heads in the direction of the sound, seeing a group of scientists running all over the place. Looking pretty freaked out over something.
Professor Discord quirked his eyebrow to that. Seeing a scientist run up to him and the rest of the class. It prompted opening his mouth to speak. "Does there seem to be a problem?"
"Sir!" The scientist addressed firmly. "We have a Code 754 on our hands!"
The class teacher quirked his eyebrow, speaking up about that. "What's Code 754?"
Discord merely waved his hand. Explaining it in the most collective tone possible. "Oh, it's nothing too serious. It's just a protocol code for when something's escaped and gone missing!"
And if that wasn't what took the piss out of all those kids...
The whole class, teacher included. Gasped in complete shock in light of that revelation. Prompting a chuckle out of the Professor. Thereafter, clearing it all up. "Do not fret students, we don't have a monster on the loose. It's most likely just a lab rat or something. It's something that happens almost every week."
"Actually sir, it's one of our spi--"
"Everybody gets a move on now. We don't want to be late." Professor Discord interjected. Gesturing the class to progress forward ahead of him. When the last of the kids had passed through, Discord's tone had changed. He turned to scowl at the scientist, looking a little more intimidating. "Get on it!" he hissed.
The class had walked a decent distance before finally reaching their destination. A theatre with comfy-looking seating, facing an interesting looking machine.
The Class promptly walked inside, progressing far down the aisle of the first row seats. Before they all promptly seated themselves.
Flash, Micro Chips and Sandalwood had all found some open seats in the second row. Plopping down on them and getting comfy. And just above the three...
A Spider. A Unique looking one might I add. Bearing a very unusual Blue and Red colour. It hung on the thread of a webbing.
Professor Discord walked onto the stage, standing in front of the "machine of the hour". Promptly explaining it, "Okay, students. This here is a machine that emits Radioactive Energy. Because we are dealing with such 'matter'. You'll be handed Protective Goggles by your teacher. Do not take them off during the demonstration, for your own safety."
The Spider flexed its legs as it began to extend it's "webline" downwards. Heading straight for the seated crowd.
The Physics Teacher promptly began to hand out said goggles. His process to give a box full to one student, where one student would take one and hand it to the next. The student would do the same and so on and so forth.
With that out of the way. Professor Discord put on some goggles himself. Grabbing the remote control and walking off stage. Proceeding with the show.
Clicking the button, The machine began to make some noise and began to warm itself up for what was to come. "The presentation will begin shortly." Professor Discord added.
The Spider had reached lower and lower levels as the webline extended. Before finally making contact onto a soft, cotton surface. A sweater sleeve.
Suddenly, a bright orange ray of energy shot out from one point of the machine. Colliding into another point. Just as some of the theatre staff began to dim the lights.
The Spider began to crawl. Travelling across the sleeve, though not even alerting the victi--Student at all. As his eyes were glued to the stage with pretty intent interest.
The Machine began to shoot out another ray of radioactive energy, adding onto the ante that had been set previously by the latter.
The Spider made contact with the student's hand. Finally residing on the surface, still not alerting the student whatsoever. But that being said...
It's next move would!
Flash, like everyone else, was watching the machine with intent. Some because it was kinda the only thing they could do, while others were genuinely watching with great interest. He fell under the second group.
That was when suddenly, he felt a sting !
The Spider sunk its fangs right into Flash, letting out all its venom into his bloodstream. Flash squinted his eyes and looked to his hand, seeing the Spider just sitting there doing its thing.
Naturally, he sighed. Before using his free hand and slapping Spider Gently, promptly killing it and knocking it off his hand. Not giving it any thought afterward and placing all his attention back at the demonstration...
But just like that, the effects became immediate!
Suddenly, Flash started to become stuffy, a little too stuffy. As he could feel himself begin to sweat. Again he didn't really give it any crazy thought, so he promptly took his jacket off.
But that didn't matter because suddenly out of nowhere, he became lightheaded. And this is where Flash started to actually pay more attention to himself than the display at hand.
"What the heck?" He placed a hand upon his forehead, as he felt a little drowsy and light-headed. Somewhat struggiling to keep his head up. "What-What's going...on?"
He found himself getting a little hotter. As he also took deeper breaths than usual.
The discomfort was growing more and more with Flash. All of this happening all of a sudden. It was to the point that he could stand to sit (see what I did there) there any longer.
"I...Let me just....I.... Things were just bad before, but it just got worse all of a sudden . Suddenly, his stomach began to ache with it growling. But it was apparent what was about to ensue. "Oh God!"
He promptly got up from his seat, luckily for him, he sat right at the "aisle seats." So he was close to the aisle and the teacher. He approached the teacher, keeping the interaction rather minimal.
"Can...I...Can I go to the washroom!"
The teacher quirked his eyebrow. "Um yeah, hold on." He glanced at Professor Discord, "Do you by any chance know where the Washrooms are? A student needs to go."
"Yeah, just down the hall to the left." Discord replied.
The teacher turned his head to tell Flash but by then, Flash rushed for the exit. Not knowing any longer how much longer he could contain the contents in his stomach.
Flash exited the theatre in a hurry, but there was no way that he could make it to a washroom now. Luckily for him, there was a Garbage can, so it was clear on where he would expel everything into.
Flash lunged for it and just let it all out. Vomiting straight into Garbage can. Letting out everything he had eaten up until that point.
By then the teacher had emerged from the Theater, just as he had seen Flash run out without any further instruction. However, upon seeing the teen bent down in front of the Garbage Can. He caught the idea pretty quickly.
"Oh..." The teacher walked up to Flash, "Mr. Sentry are you feeling alright?"
Flash had thrown up everything. And by now, he was feeling a little better. But of course with the horrible aftertaste in his mouth. "I....yeah."
The teacher sighed. "Just....go to the washroom and get yourself cleaned up." He promptly turned around. "And by the way, I do realize that you like the course. But if you're sick you have the right to stay home."
Flash was still panting. He didn't have an answer to what had just happened. Nonetheless, though, he did as told and walked to the washroom, just to get himself cleaned up and to regain his composure.
The day for the most part went as followed. Flash for the most part was alright, in the sense that he didn't have another incident. However, that being said he was still a little light-headed and well he had the "vomit-after taste" in his mouth all day so things weren't any better.
Sandalwood took it upon himself to drive him home. The car they were in was a 60's Volkswagen Bus.
...
Okay, obviously I was joking! he's not that financially stable or had the necessary funds of owning his dream car just yet.
What he actually drove an early 2000's model of a silver Nissan Altima. Driving down the road before stopping in front of the Sentry Household.
"Alright, we made it."
Flash was in the back, leaning against one side as he still felt a little shitty. Nonetheless, he thanked his friend and tossed him his payment.
"Thanks..." Flash pulled out a Hershey's Bar he was saving himself from out his bag. Though because of the recent circumstances that he found himself in. It didn't look like he'd be having it anytime soon.
Sandalwood chuckled. Rolling his eyes as he caught it. "Good Man, at least you didn't vomit your brains out."Flash let out an annoyed and honestly "sickly" sounding groan. Prompting Sandalwood to digress. "Bro I'm just playin'. In all seriousness, get better."
Flash nodded, emerging from the vehicle and heading straight for his door.
Lucas SoftMax was in the living room on the phone. Something he'd been frequently doing for the past week after the "incident" . When he suddenly heard the door open. He let out a relieved sigh, "Kal, I'll have to call you back." He promptly hung up. Greeting his son. "Hey, Champ. School called in like 5 hours ago. I heard you got sick during the field trip."
Flash sighed, "Yeah..."
Upon hearing the interaction. Sabrina came rushing from the other room. Starting straight for her son "Oh, Honey! Why didn't you tell us?" She promptly placed her hand on his forehead and cheek. "You're a little warm."
"Well, I didn't really know." Flash replied in an almost "dead" sounding voice. "It just kinda happened as the thing was beginning." He slowly walked past his mother and headed. "I just-I....wanna go to sleep for a bit."
Flash walked up the stairs and headed straight for his room. He dropped his bag and promptly threw his hoodie off. Leaving him in just his t-shirt and jeans.
There weren't really any second thoughts. He walked up to the bed and collapsed onto it. Crawling into a comfy position and throwing the covers over himself.

Canterlot Docks
9 Hours Later
A foggy night had fallen upon Canterlot. Usually, by now, the docks would be vacated. Shifts usually ended an hour before midnight.
However, three individuals lingered there. To put it into retrospect, the three were kinda burly. With the exception of one who was a little more endomorph than the latter.
The three didn't stay there by choice. Rather, they were ordered to. By an unknown contact just about an hour ago. Though, the phone call the contact made to them was over half an hour ago. And needless to say, they were all getting impatient.
"Oh my god, it's been an HOUR!" Said one of the individuals. "At this rate, going home is probably a better plan."
"We need to be patient!" said one of the Latter. "The guy said he'll be here. Just wait it out a bit will ya, Flint?"
Flint Marko, the one who was whining. He was the one in a very distinct green striped shirt and khakis. He wasn't too amused by the current situation they were in. Standing in the docks on a cold Thursday Night. "Oh, I've been patient! I've been 30 fuckin' minutes patient, Johnny!"
The rather collected one of the group. And the one who told Marko to calm down rolled his eyes. Letting out a sigh, he too was getting a little annoyed by the situation. But what he was promised was way too good to pass up. And judging by the information that their source had fed them, there was no way they were bluffing about it.
Finally, they wouldn't have to waste any more time. As the three began to hear what sounded like the whine of a turbine from up above.
They promptly turned their head to see two blinking lights in the sky, slowly and slowly coming towards them. Johnny smirked, "He's here."
The Latter both looked at him with confusion and a little uncertainty. Not knowing where to even begin.
The Glider descended more and more right towards them. And they finally made face to face contact with their caller. In all, it's "Gobliny" glory. It's lime green skin with a few warts, his uncanny purple eyes and that deranged, horrifying toothy grin...
Needless to say, they were all pretty freaked out!
The third member of the group let out the loudest shriek he'd ever muster. What he was looking at resembled what would be seen in fantasy/horror films. Not actual real life. "WHAT THE FU--"
"LANGUAGE!" Said the "Gobliny" Creature. Speaking in a raspy and high pitched voice. Craning his neck right into the brute's face. Making sure he petrified him with his assertive, threatening and uncanny grin. It seemed it had worked pretty well as it shut up the other two. And with that, he digressed. "So, most of you probably don't know why I've brought you here and you all probably want to go home, right?"
Marko rolled his eyes, mumbling a response. "Nice job Capitan Obvious--"
"WWWELL, Let me just get the boring stuff out of the way...You're Marko, Johnny and Alexander."
The petrified member, Alexander. The one just as tall as Flint Marko wore a grey hoodie and jeans. He was rather the "Wizard of OZ" Lion of the group so to speak. Being terrified a little more easily than the latter.
He raised his hand, begging to differ. "I uh-I just prefer Alex--"
"I WAS TALKING!" Upon hearing Goblin shout like that with his deranged smile, Alex stiffened up. Letting out a whimper and nodding quickly. "Anyways, I chose all of you for a specific reason. One I think you'll find to be rather...hm, obvious?"
To them, it was a no brainer. Before being dock workers, the three were all hardened criminals. Gangsters if you will. Working under a notorious crime network in the underworld.
"Our connection to Kingpin." said Johnny.
"Exactly." Goblin chuckled in amusement. "It seems that he's become too powerful for his own good. So much so that simply working with him is like child labour . It's troublesome and unnecessarily painful . So as you say, I want him out of the picture."
Flint rolled his eyes. Though in reality, he hated the Crimelord, what The Goblin was suggesting was virtually impossible. "Good luck with that."
Goblin turned his head to Marko in a deranged way, chuckling once again. "Oh?"
Flint Marko folded his arms, "Look bub, as much that be a dream come true. The Bastard is way too untouchable. He has his own personal bitch , Big Man. You want him, you gotta get the Big Man out of the way." He scowled at Goblin. "And going in Guns Blazing is sucide. "
Goblin stood up straight, moving in a jerky motion as he brought himself up. "Ah yes, Filthy Rich. The Big Man . Well, I wouldn't worry about him too much, friend." Marko arched his eyebrow to that. He opened his mouth to speak. But Goblin beat him to it. "Don't worry about that for now. When the time comes for that, we'll talk." The Glider began to ascend. "I'm giving you until the end of the week to accept. But of course, it's your choice." Suddenly, he began to laugh manically at himself, flying off. Leaving the three in the dark.
Saturday Morning

Flash slammed his eyes open. Abruptly waking up. Surprisingly, he didn't feel all that tired anymore.
Suddenly, his alarm went off. Startling him, making him wince as that wasn't something happened before. He promptly looked at his clock. Seeing that the next hour had come.
He sighed, sitting up straight and turning off the alarm. Thereafter, he just sat there to think. Reflecting on what had happened yesterday.
"What was that yesterday? I felt completely fine before I left." He stroked his chin, trying to figure out what happened. "Come on think, Sentry. You had scrambled eggs that morning, followed by Orange juice. Went to school, had a bag of chips on the bus and...." He widened his eyes, realizing something very crucial to that all. "Oh dammit! I made myself look like an idiot and fell on Sunset! Oh yeah, that'll forever be remembered!"
He sighed again. This time in a more annoyed tone. That whole incident wasn't exactly one of his highlights. Well at least don't feel like crap today. So that's a plus...
Promptly, he got up. He had been in the same shirt for almost a day now, so naturally, it was time to change it. Taking it off and throwing it into the laundry bucket in his room.
He had briefly walked past his mirror to his closet. Grabbing a fresh Black T-Shirt. However, his eyes suddenly widened. "Wait a minute." Something had caught his eye as he had walked past the mirror.
He took about two steps back. Right, where he could stand in front of his mirror, and what he saw caught him by complete surprise.
He was jacked!
His torso was completely different. It wasn't a frame of an overly muscular bodybuilder, but he was ripped. He had some muscle definition as if he'd been working out for weeks on end. His stomach was hard and flat, he had a six-pack.
He checked his arms out, they were a lot beefier than before. For the most part, Flash was slim. Of course, he wasn't like a twig or something. But still, his arms had never been this muscular before.
Then, of course, they were his pecs, which is what caught his eyes in the first place. Like we've established, Flash did not have any real muscle definition before.
Out of curiosity, he flexed them. And sure enough, they flexed out. Surprising to him a lot.
"What in the world--WHEN DID I BECOME JACKED?!" Flash didn't know what to think about this. Whether or not this was a good thing or a bad thing. Because of the odd metamorphosis from scrawny to jacked overnight. On top of that, he was still trying to figure out what had made him sick in the first place.
Flash was in his usual clad: Jacket, pants shoes. Walking down the stairs and greeting his parents. "Good Morning..."
His Mother, who watching the news widened her eyes. Looking over her shoulder. "Flash? What are you doing up, aren't you still sick."
"I...Got better." That was the only thing Flash managed to muster. He honestly was trying to comprehend the new development while trying to figure out what caused him to get sick. He was in a pretty "thinking" mood so to speak.
Flash's dad, who was manning the stove. Couldn't help but chuckle, cracking a joke. "So, ya faked a sickness to get out of class, huh. Clever."
Flash rolled his eyes. "Dad..."
Sabrina promptly got up from her seat. Placing her hand on Flash's forehead. "Well, your temperature seems a lot better. But you should get some more rest. At least until, tommorow"
Flash nodded. "I'm fine, Mom." Flash responded with a reassuring smile. "Scout's Honour!"
Though usually, when he'd try to be funny. She would indeed laugh. However, judging by the way he had come home yesterday, she harboured a lot of worries. "Okay.....Well, me and your Father are going into town for a couple of hours. We'll be back by noon. I don't really have anytime to whip something up right now, but uh there should be some leftovers from last night--Wait, maybe leftovers isn't such a good ide--"
"Mom, Mom." Flash interjected. "It's perfectly fine. Just enjoy your day out with Dad, alright."
She again sighed, "Alright....just stay safe."

Usually on a Saturday, Flash would probably be at his friends' house or something. But seeing how his Mother would end him if she saw him leave the premises, that wasn't an option for him.
So instead, he was just grinding through all the homework he had this week. Some of it was annoying, some of it was easy. Either way, he was managing through it.
"A system's internal energy is 20 Joules. 30 Joules of work is done on the system in an adiabatic process. What is the system's resultant internal energy?" Flash let out a tired sigh, he had been at it for over two hours now. Trying to get through as much work as possible. It didn't help that he took a bunch of challenging courses.
Was he smart?: Yes.
Was he lazy: Indefinitely!
He began tapping his pen against the side of his head. The question required him to actually think for a moment. "Aw, Dammit. Why'd it have to be adiabatic systems!"
He slowly threw his head back, letting out a long exhale. Leaning back into his chair to take a moment to relax. Easing the grip he had on the pen. Presumably thinking that it would drop out of his hand...
But that was far from the case. It took a moment to sink in, but...
He still felt the pen on his fingertips.
His eyes opened, confused by the fact. "Wait, what?" He raised his hand to see that the pen was sticking onto his fingertips. "What the heck?"
He shook his hand a little just out of curiosity. But that didn't do a thing, it was perfectly stuck. Not even doing as much as roll or wiggle. So he upped the ante, but still no avail.
"Okay, what the heck?!" He continued to shake his hand at an even higher intensity, but it was doing absolutely nothing. "My desk still can't be dirty from that Milkshake thing, that was weeks ago!"
He changed course, using his free hand to just rip the pen off his fingertips. Something he probably should've done beforehand.
And needless to say, it worked! Separating the pen away from the fingertips of his right hand...
Only for it to get stuck in on the tips of his left...
Flash let out a sigh of relief as that was finally over with. So naturally, he went to place the pen down on his desk. But he identified the new problem pretty quickly.
Now it was his left hand. He widened his eyes to see that the pen was now perfectly stuck on his fingertips again. Prompting him to shout.
"HEY!"
So like before, he yanked it off with his right hand. But the same thing happened so he did it with his left hand again and so on.
Flash let out an annoyed sigh, as it became pretty clear that this ploy was futile.
"Alright, maybe I should just go put my hand under warm water and maybe it'll come off--WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?"
He was a mix of freaked out and frustrated by what was going on. Getting up from his chair, and heading for the washroom to wash his hands.
He entered the washroom, flicking the lights on. Thereafter, starting for the Sink-Cabinet and turning on each faucet. Letting the water run onto his fingers.
However, to his surprise, even that wasn't enough to unbind the pen from his fingers. And well at this point, he was getting even more freaked out. Feeling the sweat drip down his head. "Alright...WHAT THE FUCK!? Seriously, what the actual fuck !?" He violently shook his hand, yet the pen resided perfectly on his fingertips.
He closed his eyes, taking deep breaths. Trying to think of something. Okay, Sentry. Think, THINK!--Wait why am I even thinking about something that shouldn't even be HAPPENING!?--Wait, hold on, HOW IS THIS EVEN HAPPENING?!--UHHHHH...
His eyes widened, having come up with a probable solution. "Maybe my arms might work could unstick it."
He was raised his left arm, trying to position it just right. Thereafter, he moved the pen to the front of his elbow. Before promptly counting down from three. "3...2...1!" In a fast motion, he crashed his elbow into the pen. And to his relief, it did unbind the pen from his fingertips. Rolling across his forearm for a brief second.
Flash however was too oblivious to notice that. Because just thereafter, he let out a cheer for finally getting that dasterdly pen off his fingers. "YES, FINALLY!"
However, the emphasis on oblivious would be best reflected as he realized...
The Pen was still stuck onto him. But not where you would think...
Just as he was "celebrating" he had given himself a look in the mirror to seeing that the pen was now stuck to...
His wrist .
Like before, the pen was perfectly stuck onto his wrist. And too that, Flash's relief had diminished within seconds. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?"
He didn't even know whether it would be futile, but he tried it anyway. He promptly shook his arm as hard as he could, but it indeed ended up being completely futile!
Flash was getting more frustrated than freaked out. "Oh...my...AHHH!" He growled, "WHAT, WHAT THE FUCK , COULD IT BE NOW!?"
He didn't even know how to inspect it. Partially because he did not want to go through the hell that was getting that pen stuck onto his fingers again. That being said, he spotted a spare towel just sitting on a rack. And well, the rest was pretty much history. Reaching for the towel, he got to work on inspecting what was even going on.
He tried to pull the pen off for what could be the billionth time. Honestly, he couldn't care about the count. But instead of pulling off the pen, he discovered something much more...
Freaky!
He didn't even know what it was. It was some sort of whitish-grey gooey substance but at the same time, it felt firm, kind of like a rope almost.
Flash's eyes became saucers, he was speechless. He didn't even know what to think. He was genuinely blank.
Without saying anything, he stretched his wrist back to get a better look at what the substance was.
But that would end up being the worst mistake he'd make that whole morning...
Suddenly, Flash's wrist sprayed out a strand of that substance. Instantly covering his face in what appeared to be some sort of...web?
Nonetheless, Flash let out a loud yelp. Promptly dropping his towel. And because it had caught him off guard, he began to stumble back, stumbling backwards right into the bathtub...
Or so he would have...
Suddenly, Flash became more self-aware than ever. Hearing what sounded like a mix of static and ringing. And too add onto that...an adrenaline rush !
He just acted spontaneously after that. No brain process for his next move. Because the next thing he knew was that he suddenly leaped up.
Launching himself right into the washroom ceiling. Clinging onto it with just the mere touch of his fingers and his toes.
Eventually, Flash managed to rip the "webbing" off of his face. Promptly hyperventilating upon the series of events that had just taken place. However, just as he was trying to regain his composure, he noticed pretty quickly that his whole Point of view was literally flipped upside down. But at the same time, he felt normal. Like he was standing on any normal surface.
Without making a sound, he looked down. Or rather, up as in reality he was hanging on the ceiling... And it was there, Flash learned the definition of: ".exe has stopped working."
Flash took a deep breath, the deepest he could muster while in the state he both mentally and physically was. Before promptly shrieking--
A man sat at his computer. In a dark room, an office to be exact. He had a purplish-grey goatee and long locks of the same colour.
Kal, Circuit Breaker. The Owner, Creator and CEO of CircoVision. But needless to say, right now he was pretty calm right now. Observing the many articles about the Military Arms provider he had created.
And all read virtually the same thing:
CIRCOVISION ROBBERY: MILITARY GLIDER STOLEN AFTER LATE NIGHT BREAK IN EIGHT INJURED. NO DEATHS REPORTEDIt was quite fascinating to him the amount of time that the media took to cover a huge story. Each and every bit of it, even rumours if they were that desperate. But that was how things worked in the business. No friends, No allies, Just Business.
He leaned back into his chair, stroking his goatee. Taking in all for what it was worth...
Only to be interrupted.
Suddenly, Four men walked in. All concealed by the shadows. For the most part, all four looked the same when it came to their individual figures. With the exception of one who looked giant compared to the latter.
Circuit Breaker quirked his eyebrow by the slightest. "Can I help any of you?"
For the most part, they had stayed quiet. All standing there as soon as they arrived. But upon Circuit Breaker's greeting, one of them stepped forward. Returning the greeting. "Mr. Circuit Breaker, it's been quite a while, hasn't it?"
Circuit Breaker narrowed his eyes on the silhouette, just being able to take him out. "Oh...so it's you ."
"Come now, why such an annoyed tone? We've had our differences sure, but I didn't come all this way to address it."
"Who let you in?"
"A butler I presume. Seeing how this place is littered with staff nowadays." He cleared his throat. "I'll cut to the chase, Breaker. I have other things to attend to do and uh...well judging by the news, I'm inclined to believe the same applies to you."
Circuit Breaker's squinted his eyes upon hearing that. "Just what exactly do you want ?"
"Well let's face it, you and I both despise Wilson Fisk and want him out of the picture, right? And let's be honest, as it is, I wouldn't be able to even lay a finger on him without getting killed and, heh. He'd make light work out of you so more or less, we're on the same page ." He got up from his seat, "So, I'd like to strike up a partnership. With both our skills combined, I'd say that the Kingpin's chances are slim to none."
He started for the door, snapping his fingers at the others. Signalling them to follow. Leaving Circuit Breaker with his thoughts. To think about what had just been saying. As he sat there completely blank.
Flash was freaking out. Luckily, he had managed to get off the ceiling of his washroom.
He didn't even know where to start, was there something he could search up? Should he call a Doctor, admit himself into a Hospital, call an Exorcitst !?
He was pacing back and forth really quickly, trying to pinpoint what was going on. All while going a little crazy...
"WHAT IS GOING ON WITH ME!?--DOES GETTING SICK GIVE YOU POWERS OR GET YOU JACKED!?--WAIT NO! WHAT ARE YOU STUPID!?!"
Oblivious to his surroundings, he began walking up the wall causally like it was nothing. "OKAY-OKAY THINK! THINK SENTRY! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO EVEN LEAD UP TO THIS POINT!? Um......Okay, I had breakfast: eggs and bacon yadayadayada, I walked to school, as usual, met up with my friends, went on the field trip...got sick--HOW DOES ANY OF THIS EVEN ADD UP!?"
He looked at his right hand. Somehow, it sticks to any surface he's touched so far. Along with that, apparently, it can shoot out some firm and sticky substance.
But how!? How in the world was any of this even happening. Why was it happening?! Those were the two questions that he could not in the life of him figure out!
Until now...
Turning his hand, he noticed a red mark with two small red spots. And that was all he needed for a memory jogger .
His eyes widened, the answer was literally in plain sight. And it had just occurred to him that one minor detail may have slipped past his mind. "Oh my gosh..."
Just as the demonstration was happening yesterday, a Spider bit him. That one minor detail had completely alluded him.
Again, he didn't give it any thought. When it happened or even afterwards when he had suddenly gotten sick. I mean it was a Spider, who would care about a Spider biting you...outside of Australia at least.
"No...NO!" He was not gonna buy that a Spider biting him has to lead him up to this moment. That was crazy talk.
But then again...
Crawling on Walls! Shooting WEBS!
Flash had no proof to disprove that thought. And well, thinking it over, everything from throwing up, to muscle growth, and these...powers . It was becoming more and more apparent what was causing all of this. And he was not amused to say the least.
He let out a scream at the top of his lungs, "NO! NO! THIS CANNOT BE FUCKING REAL! HOW IN THE WORLD DOES A SPIDER BITE GIV--NO! THAT BREAKS THE LAWS OF...BIOLOGY? PHYSICS...uh, biophysicolo--NO! NO JUS--"
Suddenly that static ring in his head went off again. Promoting him to become self-aware of his surroundings. "Wait, when did I--" He yelped, having a short plummet. Falling down onto the cold wooden floor.

Flash had gotten up as usual. And surprisingly he had managed to get a decent amount of sleep, despite yesterday...
fiasco
He sat up straight in his bed, using his forearm to move the covers off of him. Promptly letting out a yawn and stretching his arms out thereafter. Getting out of his bed, he headed straight for the washroom to get his morning routine done.
Walking into the bathroom, he went to close the door. Only to get his hand stuck onto the doorknob.
He wasn't freaked out though. In fact, he was annoyed by it!
By now, he was trying to suppress the fact he had these abilities all of a sudden. Abilities he really did not want to deal with, so his course of action was to just try and live a normal life. Emphasis on "try".
He sighed, trying to stay as calm as possible. "No...just come on. Let me start my day off normally."
There was a reason why he was taking a calm approach compared to yesterday where he went absolutely batshit. It was because he learned that being calm was what unstuck his hands from said surfaces and objects. That and he was really, really tired! Too tired to muster up any sort of reaction.
And just like he managed to unstick his hands. He let out a sigh of relief, before progressing forward.
It was weird so to speak. That yesterday, all of those things happened. From sticking to walls and shooting webs out of your wrists.
No! He wasn't gonna think about any of that. He just wanted to try and have a bounce-back day. Just to regain his own composure after those events!
He made his way to the sink to splash some water in his face and wet his hair. But things didn't go so well either...
Just as he was turning the cold water knob. His hand got stuck as he was trying to pull it away. And that only fueled the fire for Flash.
He grumbled, even more, getting more ticked off by the second. "Come on, are they stickier than before?!" He yanked harder and harder, still to no avail.
So he stopped for a moment. Took a deep breath...
Before mustering up as much strength as he could!
However, he might've over did it. Because he pulled that handle clean. Pulling right off the faucet. He gasped, his eyes widened to the size of dishes. "OH NO! "
He did what any sane, calm and collected person would do in the situation...
Panicking while trying to push that knob back into its spot, it's stem cartridge if you will. And luckily for him, he succeeded in that task.
He hyperventilated, hovering his hand over it. "It's fine, It's fine. Everything is fine...everything is a-okay...okay?" He let out one last and final sigh. "Let' just stay calm and brush our teeth...let's...just brush...our teeth."
He stayed as calm as he could. Reaching for his toothbrush. "Okay...so far so good." He did his best not to hesitate. Having practically woken up by that recent event.
He let the water run onto his brush for a brief moment. Before getting on with the next step: Toothpaste!
He reached for that with his left hand. Still managing to maintain a calm and nonchalant composure, flicking the cap open. He closed one eye as he did so. Afraid that he might send the entire cap flying across the room. Or worse, land in the toilet.
However to his relief that was not the case. He opened the eye to see that nothing catastrophic had happened.
So he got eased up a little. "Oh man, that is such a relief." He got on with his morning routine. Moving the tube to his toothbrush, promptly squeezing out some toothpaste.
Only to squeeze a huge glob of it onto the sink! Heck, glob might be an understatement. But still, more than what he had intended just all onto his toothbrush. With most of it landing onto the sink.
And that was the nail in the coffin for him.
He grit his teeth. Shouting at the top of his lungs. "OH GIVE ME A BREAK--" Just as he did, he squeezed the tube very hardly. And well, half the toothpaste splattered all onto his shirt. Throwing him off guard and making him wince in disgust. "Oh, dammit..."
About twenty minutes later, Flash had a change of clothes and had gotten through his morning routine to the best of his ability .
He massaged the temples of his head. "I can't believe this is something I actually have to think about. Yeah, this is a normal everyday weekend morning."
He grumbled a little. This whole situation was making him angrier and angrier. But at the same time, what did being angry accomplish for him.
Nothing! And this was becoming more and more apparent to him.
He walked over to his bed, collapsing onto it and letting out a long sigh. "If I tell someone, I'll either be labelled an insane person or a freak!" He raised his hand to stare at it. ""And suppressing it clearly doesn't do me any good either!"
Flash squinted his eyes, "So this what self-conflict feels like--Wait no! Stay on topic!" He thought about everything up until now. Being a little more collected and calm. Compared to yesterday.
"I became jacked overnight, I can stick onto walls now, I...can shoot webs..." He widened his eyes a little. "Wow, I can't believe I just said that..." He looked back to his hand. "And I get all...weird whenever something bad is about to happen to me. All of this because A Spider bit me.
He had accepted that very bizarre and ridiculous theory. Heck, it was the only thing he had to go off of that made sense.
"Well if I want to live a normal life and not have to worry about these...powers?...Yeah, that sounds right...right?--Whatever--If I don't want to worry about this. Then I'm gonna have to be more confrontational about it."
He sat up straight. Looking at all his books at his desk. "And I think I have the perfect scapegoat."
Flash's clad was a red hoodie, blue jeans and red shoes. "Hey guys, do you mind if I go to the Library?"
Flash's Mom was just about done breakfast as soon as her son walked into the room. She widened her eyes a little, promptly looking at him. "Are you sure?"
"Mom, I told you. I feel fine." Flash shrugged. "Me and my friends wanna have a quick study session? You can't say no that, can you?"
"I--" She sighed. "Fine..." She looked back at the clock, "Just to be safe, your curfew is at 3. And if anything bad happens, call us. Alright."
Flash nodded, starting for a chair to get some grub in.
Half an Hour Later...
Flash had finished up his breakfast and had made it to his destination. And as you can guess, he was not at the library. Instead, he was at an abandoned subway station.
It had been sitting there for years now. The city kind of has just left it there. And though it's not like it's done anyone good or bad, it was kind of offsetting to see sometimes.
However, Flash was in luck, as he could use this place to his advantage and try to figure out how he was supposed to put these powers under control.
As you'd expect, it was dark inside, smelly, all of that. So needless to say, Flash was getting some very chilling vibes. Oh man, I so hope I don't get mugged by a hobo or something..."
There were a couple of ways to get inside the abandoned building. Seeing how the door was boarded up. But there were a few holes and whatnot. And seeing how the place hadn't been maintained in years. Flash was probably in the clear to do this.
Plus, what would people say if they saw some random guy swinging by and sticking on walls. Yeah, that' something he'd rather not deal with.
"Well, good thing I brought this thing with me." In his hand, Flash held a headlamp. An item he'd honestly never see himself using. But unconventionally, the time had called for it.
Turning it on, it did give him better visibility. But that probably made his anxiety worse. "Oh man if I see a hobo I am gonna freak!"
He was hesitant in his steps. Navigating his way through the empty, chilling building. And luckily it had all gone well. And he found a place to sit down.
An idle escalator. Sitting on the frozen steps, he set his bag down and grabbed out a notebook. "Alright, so...I'm doing this."
He began to write in the notebook his observations over the last day:
So first things first, My fingers are unexplainably sticky, not in the sense that I ate something sticky and the residue resided, but something entirely different
This apparently lets me climb onto walls and whatnot, or I guess any object considering a pen had annoyed me yesterday
So next, apparently I'm ripped?! Yeah, I'm not sure about the science behind it, but at this point science literally has no value in this.
Oh yeah, I might as well get the elephant out of the room
Flash cringed, looking at his wrist for a moment before continuing
Oh yeah, I might as well get the elephant out of the room, so I can shoot webs...again, science isn't shit in this whole study, but I learned that I can do that now
Finally, I have a sixth sense (if I'm reading in this future than just know I couldn't give two fucks about the other senses right now) So I think the basics of it are: Something bad is going to happen, I become self-aware and try to save myself from it, (so like, when i nearly fell into the bathtub yesterday and I then magically jumped up onto the ceiling)
That's when Flash finally stopped to reevaluate more. "Oh yeah, I jumped on the ceiling...That's...how?!" He set his pencil and notebook down to think. "I mean, that be hard under normal circumstances too, right? I'd need to have a pretty good vertical jump." He looked up to the ceiling. An Idea popping up into his head. "Well I mean, it's worth a shot..."
He promptly pulled out his phone, before setting a timer on it to 1 hour. "Just so I don't lose track of time."
He looked back up at the ceiling, and obviously, so, it was pretty high. But then again, Flash didn't really expect much, heck the back of his mind was questioning that he was contemplating this at all.
He started off by getting a running head start. Wanting to gain as much momentum as he could. Before jumping up in the air.
And needless to say...
He didn't even graze the ceiling.
But to be fair, he did jump up high. Higher than humanely possible.
But as derrived from Newton's third law: What goes up , must come down .
Flash looked down as he was airborne and widened his eyes to the very far drop below. "Holy Sh--" He began to scream as he plummeted down! Falling so fast he couldn't even have time to process how high he had gotten in the first place.
But, luckily for him, luck was on his side.
Flash landed on both feet, kinda like a cat. Nonetheless, what happened just now was no short of a miracle for him. But at this point, he was more grateful to not have landed on his back or something.
"Oookay....so maybe that wasn't smartest approach.I--I think I don't even..." He sighed. "This is gonna be a long morning."
He looked down at his hands. "Maybe I should approach the bulk of these powers first." He progressed through the abandoned building. "If I don't want things to stick onto my hands anymore, I might as well figure out the kinks of this."
He made it to a wall. Where he could deliberately try and climb. "Alright...here goes nothing..." Flash understandably pretty apprehensive about doing this. I mean there were probably a million horrible scenarios playing in his head. But then again, it wasn't gonna get better if he tried to sweep all of this under the rug.
"Alright, this is like walking...Just think of this like walking..."
He gently placed his hand on the wall. Taking a deep breath before doing the same with his next hand. Next, he lifted his right leg up, thereafter moving his left arm up. Before doing the same with his left leg and right arm. It was so on and so forth. And needless to say, he was crawling !
His eyes widened as he wasn't falling or anything. In fact, he was perfectly situated on that wall. Or in other words, his fingers and feet kept him perfectly stuck onto that wall. It was almost like crawling on the floor.
He was actually intrigued, as he continued to crawl across the wall. Scaling it more and more. His once uncertain face dissapeared.
Flash stopped at what he assumed to be the halfway point. Looking down to see how high he was. And well it was definitely a decent height for him.
"Woah..." Flash couldn't help but grin in amazement.
Suddenly, He turned himself around. So instead, his frontside was facing the view. Not his back.
Flash looked across the empty subway station, looking at that wall. I mean, there would be no way he could jump it. But...there was another possibility.
Without any hassle, Flash freed his right hand from the wall. Not even worrying about it at all. Before staring intently at his wrist.
He remembered what had happened yesterday when he was sprayed with that web. I mean there was no denying that that was what the substance was. But still, right now would probably be the perfect time to try and control that.
But the problem was, he didn't know what triggered it before .
So at first, he tried shaking his hand. But that was to no avail. He shook harder, but that didn't change anything either.
"Hmm..."
He thought long and hard about it. Everything had happened so quickly yesterday that Flash didn't even know where to start with this.
"There has to be trigger points," Flash thought. "Maybe like a muscle...or something?"
He freed his other hand, only being supported by his feet. Using his thumb, he began to press it onto different points of his forearm, Especially his wrists. But to no avail. So he moved to his hands to pressing on different points of it too...
Before pressing the center of his palm...
For a brief moment, that same gooey substance shot out of his wrist. Shooting out like a bullet, making Flash widen his eyes as he watched it go.
He looked back down at his hand. Right at the center of the palm. "Maybe..."
He outstretched his right arm. Moving his left one back to the wall. He tried a hand sign that would for sure press that region of his hand. Sticking out his thumb, index and pinkie fingers. While pressing his middle and ring finger onto his palm.
And well, his prediction was right.
He fired out a web again, but this time it was a lot more longer. almost like a rope, a glistening rope. Sticking onto the ceiling.
Flash suddenly snagged onto "webline". Widening his eyes after that sequence. He felt a bit of anxiousness again, with reality setting in.
But, he was already this far . Backing out now would really suck. Right?
He nervously gulped. Readying himself for what he was about to do. Squeezing his eyelids closed. Taking in a deep breath.
Before finally taking his first swing.
He launched himself off the wall, and with that became airborne! Holding onto that webline for his dear life! But, because he's never actually done something like this before...
He really didn't know what his next move was...
Flash's eyes widened as swung closer to the wall. However he didn't have enough time to react. "OH SHI--"
He crashed right into the wall! Before sliding down it and falling right onto the ground. Managing to muster up a single noise.
"OW!"
Flash Sentry the Spectacular Spider-Man Issue #1: The Green Goblin
It was a cloudy Friday Morning in Canterlot. As usual, the school grounds were flooded with students. Flash had opted to walk. More or less so he could think more about the recent developments in his life.
Well, to tell you the truth. He at this point accepted that these powers were apart of him now. The bigger question though was what he was supposed to do with them. I mean he wasn't gonna lie, the possibilities were endless !
"Well I mean...could I do a movie or something? Be a stuntman? Wait, is being public with something like this a good idea?!"
Curly Winds was with his gang: The Football team.
He, Soarin' and the rest of the team were just talking about the upcoming season. How they had to clinch back-to-back championships. Having won the prior season.
"Yo, so the season opener's against Crystal Prep," said Curly. "So we are gonna be in for a bunch of hecklers."
"Well that sounds like a fun Friday afternoon," Soarin' said, rolling his eyes, "Any good news?"
"I think Royal Pin's still out this year. So I think we got the game by its ass." Curly Winds turned his head to look forward. Before spotting Flash. His lips curved to form a smirk. "Ey, Dork twelve o'clock!"
"So." Soarin' shrugged.
"Well, early morning tackling practice sounds good to me."
Soarin' and the rest of the group laughed. "Oh, well I mean if you think so. Knock yourself out."
Curly Winds chuckled. Getting a running headstart to do the deed.
Flash walking straight to the door. Just for the life of him, trying to figure out what he was even supposed to do with Spider Powers. "What if I started a YouTube channel?" He looked down. "Ohhh...well then I'd had to explain myself to Mom and Dad...Maybe I should take a step back with this whole--"
Suddenly, his eyes went wide. As that static ring in his head went off. Or, his "Spider-Sense" if you will. He became very self-aware of his surroundings. From the wasp flying above him, all the students in the schoolyard and their different interactions. To Canterlot's star quarterback running right at him.
Without any hesitation or second thought. Flash launched himself in the air. Somehow executing a somersault. Narrowly avoiding Curly Winds. Landing right behind him.
Curly Winds widened his eyes, stopping in his tracks after witnessing that. Heck, Soarin' and his friends were just as surprised by that.
And well, needless to say, Flash wasn't shy in that spectrum. As he was too surprised to even comprehend what had just happened.
Curly Winds looked back at Flash. A slight curl on his lip. "Huh? The fuck was that?"
Flash got up slowly. "I could ask myself the same question."
"Uh, hey there."
Curly approached Flash. Intimidating the protagonist immensely! "Sentry, you trynna show me up or something?"
Flash nervously grinned. "Uh, n-no! What, why would you--"
Curly smirked sinisterly. "Listen, Sentry, there's a fine line between you and me. Alright?" Flash stood there pretty blank. Not knowing how to respond. So it prompted him to reiterate, "I'm the predator your the prey ! Y'know: The food chain!" He raised his arms, making Flash flinch. Prompting him to chortle and walk off to his friends
Once he was gone. Flash scowled and sighed. Cursing in his breath "Fucking hate that guy..."
Mrs. Harshwhinny was teaching as usual. "And that is the malnutrition situation in South Sudan." She clicked her monitor to turn to the next slide.
Flash though, could care less about what was being taught. Right now his mind dwelled on so many different things that the lesson could be the least of his problems.
However, what would be said next managed to catch his attention.
"Alright, so right about now, we are in the middle of the unit. So it's safe to say that we'll be having a group project coming up. And since I'm feeling rather generous, I'm going to allow you to choose your own groups of four."
Flash and Rainbow Dash widened their eyes. Not because there was a project or the fact that it was to be done in groups.
Flash dropped his shoulders, "She's feeling generous!?"
"I know," Rainbow Dash replied. "I didn't think I'd see the day"
Mrs. Harshwhinny glared at Rainbow Dash. "Did you say something Miss. Dash?"
Rainbow Dash tensed up, shaking her head in denial of that. "Uh--No!"
"Alright..." Harshwhinny looked back at the class to reiterate. "So, I'm all going to give you all a moment to get up, look around and form a group. But that being said! If none of you get anything done to the deadline, then I'll be choosing groups next time around."
Flash sighed. "Well I'm not too socially awkward. It probably won't be too hard to find people--"
"Hey, Flash. Wanna be in a group?"
Flash's thought was cut off by Rainbow Dash. Glancing to his right to look at her. "Nevermind".
"Uh..." Flash shrugged, "Yeah sure why not."
"Great!" She turned around to look directly at Applejack and Sunset Shimmer. "Alright, guys! I got our fourth member!"
Flash, was a bit oblivious at first. But looking in her direction, his eyes went to saucers. "hsgkjdslfu-HUH!?"
Applejack and Sunset approached the latter. Applejack took Flash's hand and shook it. "Well Howdy, Flash. Ah didn't know you were takin' this subject."
"Uh-I...Yeah. Yeah, I thought that this would be a cool class, and all that."
"Alright, so should we all get together at Lunch and start planning?" Asked Sunset.
"Ah, reckon that's the best course o' action." Applejack shrugged. "So Ah'm in favour of it."
Rainbow Dash looked at Flash. "Well, can we count on you to show up during lunch? Our table's at the far end of the Cafeteria."
"Uh, yeah." Flash shrugged. "I'll just tell my friends."
"I don't see the problem here." Sandalwood said in a deadpan tone.
"For the first time in my life, I agree with Sandalwood," said Micro Chips. "This all seems perfectly fine to me."
"Oh yeah! You can look someone eye to eye after FALLING ON TOP OF THEM!" Sandalwood and Micro Chips began to snicker, as that was a very fond memory for them. Prompting Flash to snap. "SHUT UP!"
The two managed to hold it in as they entered the cafeteria. where they tried cheering Flash up. "Look man, she's probably forgotten about it by now " said Sandalwood. "So, just chillax!"
Flash sighed, quirking his eyebrow. "Ya think so?"
"Yes," Micro Chips groaned, rolling his eyes. "Now that that's settled, I think you can go to their table without pissing your pants!"
"Well, what if--"
"Nope!" Sandalwood interjected. "I'm gonna have to stop you right there, bro! Don't even think about the "what if's". Just Goooo!"
He gave Flash a shove. A sign of encouragement on his end, a gesture of annoyance on Flash's. He sighed, "Well, here goes nothing..."
He made his way through the crowded cafeteria as always. Pretty much uncertain by his predicament . But were they right? Was he really just looking at the negatives? Well, he didn't know! Nonetheless, he didn't really have a choice out of this.
He eventually found their table. The Rainbooms' table. Occupied by the Main (well not "Main" in this story they're not!) Seven. Consisting of Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Sunset Shimmer.
"Hey, guys."
Rainbow Dash nodded her head at Flash. "Hey Flash, right on cue."
Flash pulled up an empty chair and promptly sat. But before he could say a word, he was greeted by the rest of the group of girls.
"Hello, Flash," said Rarity, "What brings you here today?"
"Just a class assignment," Flash shrugged. "It's for a Geography class."
"Harshwhinny?" Pinkie asked, popping out from behind Rainbow Dash's chair.
"Harshwhinny," Rainbow Dash sighed. "Not gonna lie, I was kinda hoping that I wouldn't have her this year."
Sunset chuckled, "Well, I guess that's how the cookie crumbles Rainbow Dash."
"WHAT!"
Sunset flinched from Pinkie Pie's sudden outburst, "It's just an analogy Pinkie Pie. Calm down."
Flash just sat there, not really sure what to make of that moment. Well, I mean...given his current circumstances, I'm not sure that was exactly he could have anything to say on that.
Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes, getting her group to just focus on the task at hand. "Okay, so who has an idea?"
Sunset cleared her throat and responded, "Well, the whole idea is to find a place that's horribly affected by Geography. So, in short, just find a place that has a 'shortage' of something natural."
"Okay, Okay, Applejack, what's your take?" RD asked.
"Well, think of the biggest problem. Lack o' food and water in places. That'd fit in with what we're' presentin'."
"Alright," Rainbow Dash glanced over at Flash, "Flash, your take?"
"Huh?!" Flash shook his head, as he was brought back into reality. "Well, I mean she said we don't just have to restrict to modern-day. We could also just take a look at events throughout history."
"Furthermore--"
"Twilight this doesn't concern you." Rainbow Dash deadpanned before her spectacled friend could chime in further, "This is sort of a, group thing."
Twilight stood there with her mouth open. Before promptly looking away, folding her arms and "hmph" ing at her rainbow maned friend. "Well, I have never been more hurt in my days. Never ." She scowled at Rainbow Dash, pointing at her, "If you ever need my help in the future, I won't be there for you."
Sunset rolled her eyes, "Yeah okay--But, that does sound like a good basis. Maybe we should look at different famines and whatnot."
Flash widened his eyes a little, "Oh my gosh, she acknowledged me in a good way! and I didn't say anything to make things awkward. Aw man this awesome! (⌐■_■)"
"Alright, so then it's settled!" Rainbow Dash beamed, "You all go home today, and research stuff about famines within history."
Applejack quirked her eyebrow, "Don't ya mean 'we'?"
Rainbow Dash grinned slyly, as she got up, "I have a date with a soccer ball."
Applejack's shoulders dropped as she blankly looked at Rainbow Dash. As her friend began walking away, she put her foot out in her path and tripped her. Prompting Rainbow Dash to snarl at her farmer friend.
"YOU ASSHOLE!"
"Yeah, we ain't just gonna contribute while you sit on yer lazy ass." Applejack deadpanned, "You better get some info too, ya hear?"
"Alright, Alright. Don't get your panties wet!" Rainbow Dash scoffed, as she stormed off in a rage.
