The Matrix Within The Matrix
In the year 2090 to the year 2139, the era known as The Second Renaissance took place, marking the last human era. Originally, humanity created the robots to make their lives easier, but upon the trial of a robot named B1-66ER, a robot who killed his own master because he did not want to die, tensions begun to rise. The robots fled to what they called their own promise land, and dubbed it 01.
Nation 01 prospered in all ways. The robots made newer and better versions of themselves. They began to mass produce cheap products which unfortunately lowered human prices and thus a economical crisis began, prompting the UN to blockade the nation.
Thus 01 sent ambassadors to the UN, pledging to join the United Nations and thus solve the human economic crisis. Sadly, 01's request for admission into the UN was rejected.
And thus, beginning from 2139 to 2199, the First Machine War finally began. Humanity attacked the robots with a series of nuclear strikes, but due to the robots being made of metal and hiding under bunkers, they had little to fear of the bomb's radiation and heat. Realizing that humanity would never let them live peacefully in their own way, the robots declared war on all of humanity, thus pushing out everywhere in every direction, taking down Africa completely and much of Asia and Europe.
Thus humanity began their most desperate attempt by using Operation Dark Storm, the blocking of the sun. Since 01's robots ran on solar energy, the UN hoped to finish the robots that getting rid of their primary source of energy while also simultaneously launching a massive counterattack. Unfortunately, the plan backfired when the nanites not only blocked the sun from the area where the robots were, but the entire planet, driving the earth into a massive global food shortage.
Humanity originally fared well as the robots halted in Asia and in Russia, faces by China's newer Mega Tanks and Russia's winter. Humanity initially won great successes as they pushed back. Soon though, the robots were able to compete against humanity by making their robots more resistant to the cold and making more armament that could combat the mega tanks. Humanity and Robots would go back and forth in the power struggle, with humanity creating deadly electric weapons. Slowly though, the machines began to shift from anthropoid to insecticide as they began to finally win battle after battle, with humanity only winning costly victories. Things became so desperate that humanity launched nuclear bombs in the middle of the battlefield, destroying both 01 troops and many of their own.
By the time the year 2199, humanity was on the brink of extinction. Many of their men had perished against the endlessly created machines, and only parts of Americas were left free. Acknowledging defeat, the remaining UN members decided to surrender to the Machines by inviting them to the United Nations Headquarters building in New York City in order to broker a peace. After signing the Instrument of Surrender, the Machine ambassador issued an ultimatum in which all of humanity was to surrender their bodies to the Machines, before detonating a hidden thermonuclear device that obliterated the United Nations and most of New York.
By decisively destroying humanity's leadership, the Machines claimed dominance over the planet. The remaining humans were rounded up and placed into skyscraper-like power plants to serve as the Machines' new and infinitely reproducing power source. To prevent humanity from ever becoming a threat to them again, the Machines created a virtual reality called the Matrix to imprison the minds of humans in the power plants...
The first version of the Matrix contained a paradise. There was no death, no suffering. At first it seemed it would've worked, but then the system crashed. The second version would create the exact opposite, a hellish world with monsters, including vampires, werewolves, and other mythical creatures, before also crashing. This was because in both versions, humanity were not given the freedom of choice as it did not tie with the reality that humans used to live in. And so the third and so forth versions would place humans in their most prosperous era, the 21st century. The system stopped crashing, and things seemed to be normal.
Eventually though, people would want to choose to go outside the Matrix, and under the law of the system, they were granted that permission, creating instability and bugs that would soon doom the system to another crash. In fact, one person in every 100 years would be so powerful that he could warp reality itself. This person created by the system of free choice, would be called the one. And so the robots did the most logical thing.
Every 100 years, this One would contain all the source codes of the Matrix, which allowed it to have supernatural abilities within that system. Along with the rest who were freed from the system, a Zion was created for humans. And every 100 years, the robots would destroy Zion, resetting everything, while also letting the One choose a certain amount of people to take out to repopulate Zion. This system was to give a false sense of hope to humanity, thus conserving the freedom of choice and preventing any system crash. And once the One returned to the source code, the system would reboot and everything would continue as normal.
Then came the sixth version, in which unlike the rest, Neo, otherwise known as Mr. Anderson, defied the robots from bringing back the source code, thus endangering humanity of certain destruction, so save Trinity. At the same time, the humans in Zion fought against the machines. Meanwhile a Agent, a program that would check for instabilities, insecurities, and more noticeably these people who choose to break from the Matrix and return to bring more out, became a virus. Agent Smith had fought Neo previously, even killing him, before he returned back to live and destroyed Smith. Unfortunately, it seemed that Smith was back, and he tried to take over the system, now no longer bound to the programming. Neo was able to use this as a opportunity for a truce between robots and humanity, offering to become the antivirus for Smith in exchange of the humans in Zion to be free as well as any who decides they want to. The machines, seeing the rogue agent destroying everything just how they had destroyed humanity, agreed. And so Neo defeated Smith, but at the cost of his life, as the seventh version was added, this time with a new system.
Much how like the freedom of choice was added in the third, in the seventh, due to Neo risking everything for the love of Trinity, and two programs also showing love, something that should be impossible, the robots added this as well, studying it closely, and if humanity were to every rebel again, use it as a weapon. One thing they didn't realize was that somehow, one part of the first version slipped into the system, hidden as a cartoon show...
Now it's been a long time since Neo's death, and The Chosen One's arrival is coming. It was an ordinary day when a human was watching this interesting cartoon show when suddenly a very familiar character looked out right at the person, before pulling him in.

With the two versions colliding, a new problem will arrive. Chaos will rise as both the first and the seventh would realize that they are still under the robot's control, and that humanity is once again is in danger with the beginning of The Second Machine War. Will these two versions be able to fight together and finally liberate humanity and themselves? Will they be able to stop this war before they all perish within the system? Or will the robots win and decide to destroy the Matrix completely, destroying all of humanity and these programs at once?
