Where'd the hostility come from?
The feelings were back...and her medication was at home. Sour grumbled to herself as she stifled any response she thought to passing bystanders. The anger building in her as time passed. She had to get back to her house...or maybe Lemon had some on her..? She held her head as she held back another pointed remark at a happy looking couple that just passed by.
“Yo Sour!” the voice of one of her closest friends called out, she turned to see Indigo jogging up, her t-shirt and shorts indicating she was on one of her runs.
“Hey.” The shorter girl managed with almost no energy in her tone.
“Not a good day?” She asked simply, taking a spot beside her as they walked.
“I’m...I haven’t got any of my medication on me...and I really need it.”
“Just talk with me as we walk. You know I won’t take anything to heart.” She assured with a smile as they turned a corner. Her smile dropped as she noticed Sour falling back to the ground with an “oof!”
She turned to see another girl, red hair with a purple streak. A heavy sweater, despite the weather...and her glasses, also on the ground, holding her forehead with a whine.
“WATCH WHERE YOU’RE GOING!” Sour shouted, shooting up to her feet.
“Sour! Hey, deep breaths, c’mon.” Indigo stepped in front of her, holding her shoulders.
A blonde girl stepped around the corner a moment after. “What happened, Moondancer?” She asked, kneeling to help her stand from the concrete.
“THAT BLIND FUCK RAN INTO ME!”
“Sour!” Indigo warned. The girl’s eyes widened as she covered her mouth. Passing cars wooshed by in the momentary silence.
“Wanna say that again?” The blonde asked, stepping forward, she wore a white sleeveless shirt under a black leather jacket with lime green lightning bolts running down the arms, jeans and teal sneakers.
“Hey, listen...this is a misunderstanding, just give me a chan-”
“If your friend has a problem with her big mouth, I’ll shut it for her.”
“Lightning, please.” Moondancer caught her arm as Indigo stood to face her fully.
“Threaten her again. I dare you.”
“You don’t intimidate me.” Lightning said calmly, glancing at the girl once before noting the knee brace, readying herself to aim for it if she needed to. She bit back at the threatening power trying to flow from her...the magic she apparently held was reacting to her defending someone.
“Oh, don’t intimidate you huh? That’s fine. When I flatten your ass it’ll be all the sweeter when I see the look on your face.”
“Cute.” Lightning smirked.
“It was an accident! I’m sorry, don’t fight!” Moondancer said, throwing herself in front of Lightning. The blonde frowned slightly.
"You have nothing to apologize for." Lightning spoke up.
"Indigo, I fucked up…" Sour said quietly, holding onto her wrist.
"No you didn't. It was a momentary lapse...you're okay." She assured with a small smile.
"Don't fight." She mumbled.
Indigo sighed, turning away from Lightning. "Right. Let's get going." She said, glancing back to shoot a warning glare at the blonde.
Lightning rolled her eyes. "Alright Moondancer. Sorry. You know how I get." She sighed, the shorter girl taking her hand to lead them back the way they had been coming from.

Rainbow hopped back from the punching bag, swinging her leg upwards into a roundhouse kick. She used her other foot to bounce herself back and change stance.
Her phone buzzed in her bag, pulling her from her concentration. She grabbed a towel and wiped her brow before reaching down to pick it up.
"You got the dash-ster, what can I do ya for?"
"For someone who claims to be awesome, you sure can be super lame. You know that?" The voice of her assistant soccer captain spoke.
"Sup, Light? You don't normally call."
"I need to vent. You at the gym?"
"Actually yeah, wanna meet me here?"
"Yeah."
"Alright. I'll cool down for now then."
With that she swiped to end the call, reaching for her drink and taking a swig, her phone buzzing again. She blinked, swiping accept and putting it to her ear.
"Sup?" She asked, recognizing the number.
"Dash, I just...I'm pissed and I need to hit something. You at the gym?" The voice of her former bitter rival asked...now they were on much friendlier terms.
"I am. I'm waiting on a friend. Come on down, I'm sure they won't mind."
"Awesome. See you soon."
"Later, Indigo."
'Wonder what's bugging them…' She thought, stretching out. The athlete grinned, getting back into yoga was a great idea. She was much more flexible and nimble. It helped immensely in her workouts. She tapped her foot as she waited, debating in going back to kicking the bag. Her soccer training and strong legs made them dangerously effective.
She'd been focusing more on strengthening her legs as she took up a martial arts class. She forgot what kind it was, getting some extra training in case an equestrian threat had to throw down sounded like a good idea.
"Scheduling sucks…" She thought aloud.
About five minutes passed before Lightning walked into the gym, heading over to her. "Hey Dash."
"Yo. We got another coming, if you wanted to spar, I think we need to decide how this will work out." She said.
"Oh. Cool. I just have to blow off some steam...this chick from earlier-"
The door opened and Indigo stepped in, Lightning tensing as she stood. "-fucking followed me here."
"Indigo!" Rainbow waved, the blonde turning to look at her friend.
"You know this asshole?"
"Hey. She can be prickly, but she's not an asshole." Dash defended as the third girl joined them, eyeing Lightning, who's attention went to her as she got closer.
Rainbow felt a surge of magic coming from Lightning...her body looked more toned...the glow around her giving Indigo pause before she also began to resonate, blue bolts of electricity surging around her faintly. Her aura was much lighter than Lightning's but both became aware of the other having powers.
Dash pulled on her familiar magical power and, using her speed, she appeared between them. "Okay, okay. Let's step back. Where's this bad blood come from?" She asked.
"This bitch tried to start shit with Sour Sweet." Indigo said, her body language read that she was about to pounce.
"After she knocked Moondancer to the ground and yelled at her!" She yelled, stepping closer, into Dash's hand, that was held up to halt her progress.
"Enough!" Dash shouted, getting both of their attention. "You two are going to act like fucking adults, dammit." She said looking between them. "Now, Indigo. Explain why its a misunderstanding. Lightning, let her finish."
Both girls were taken aback by the authority in Dash's words, glancing to one another.
"Sour...has a bit of an instability issue. She even tried to apologize but you were already hot." She crossed her arms. "It was a wrong place wrong time situation."
Lightning's resolve dropped slightly at that information. Her frown deepening. "I uh...I get it. I'm not all there myself sometimes." She admitted scratching the back of her neck. "God and I blew up at her…" She sighed.
"Hey, it's okay. I bet she'll be glad to know you don't hate her."
"I'm...a bit protective of Moondancer. We had an incident where her ex tried to take her away, had a knife and everything." She said.
"Oh shit, what happened?"
"Well, she ended up stabbing my…" She scoffed in disgust. "I guess she could be called my friend…" She rolled her eyes. "But after that I broke her nose, concussed her and put her in a hospital before she was taken to jail…"
"Fuck."
Even Dash looked surprised.
"I know. Ruined my teal hoodie with all the blood. What an asshole, right?"
"Really, Light?"
"What?"
"This person is your friend right?"
"Only because there's not a better word for it…" Light sighed. "More like an annoyance that I feel bad about throwing to the curb."
"Harsh." Indigo chimed in.
"Okay. So, are we cool here? Because I'd really like it if two of my friends didn't want to kill each other."
"Ugh...I guess." Lightning said with a groan.
"Yeah, I'm good." Indigo shrugged.
"Good. Now let's get to working out. I'm gonna put you two to shame." Rainbow smirked.

"So you've been doing training for pro wrestling?" Rainbow asked.
"Yeah. My teacher is named Michiru. She kinda tutors all the newbies. I figured I could do something outside of soccer...I kinda fell in love with it." Indigo said.
"Sounds like fun." Light admitted. "Have you had any actual matches?"
"Well, I had a dark match before an event last weekend. I lost, but I got my first nickname. Everyone was calling me "The Natural". Guess I picked up on things pretty quick." She chuckled. "I mean, I get putting me out there to make the other girl look good, but I got a lot of compliments on my ring work."
"How much are classes?"
"Not that bad actually, I'll talk to Michiru when I can. It'd be pretty neat to work with you two."
Dash smirked. "We could make a sick team."
"We'd make our own era." Indigo chuckled.
"Huh. Y'know I was wondering what I'd do after school." Lightning smiled. "It's doubtful that we'd get put together though."
"Details." Indigo waved off with a smirk. "We'll cross that bridge when we get there."
"I'm down if you two are." Rainbow said, putting her hand out. The others joining soon after.
"Let's give it a shot." Light chuckled.
