It all began on a lovely Tuesday evening. Everything was going swell, for the most part. Fluttershy was preparing to have Twilight over at her little cottage for a nice, relaxing dinner.
Twilight walked down the pathway leading to Fluttershy's house, enjoying the calm breeze blowing through her mane and tail. She took a deep breath, just enjoying the wonderful weather. She was in such a good mood. Nothing could ruin this night. Famous last words, of course. Twilight approached the cottage, and realized things seemed a bit quiet. Most of the critters and such weren't around. Oh well. Twilight didn't really think much about it.
She knocked on the door. "Fluttershy? I'm here!" She said, happily.
No answer.
She knocked again, this time a bit harder. "Fluttershy? You home?"
Finally, she got an answer. Fluttershy meekly opened the door, only a couple inches wide, and peeked out through the small crack. "Uhm...hi Twilight..." She said, quietly.
"Hi Fluttershy. I'm here for our mare-to-mare dinner!" Twilight responded, giving Fluttershy a big, innocent smile.
Fluttershy looked back into her cottage, and then back at Twilight. Or, well, tried, but she seemed unable to look Twilight in the eye. They were glued to the floor at the moment. "Oh. Uhm...C-can we cancel it?"
Twilight's smile immediately turned into a look of confusion. She raised an eyebrow at Fluttershy. "Cancel? But we do this every week." Twilight objected. "What's going on in there, Fluttershy?"
Fluttershy looked back into her cottage again, and then back at Twilight, before looking down at the floor. She almost seemed like she was beginning to tear up. "Uhm...well..."
Twilight grabbed the door in her magical aura, and began to push it opened. Fluttershy's eyes widened, and she pressed her backside against the door to hold it shut.
"Fluttershy, let me in, please." Twilight demanded impatiently. "What's going on? Were friends. We can talk about it!"
"Uhm...no we...can't."
Fluttershy was clearly running out of the strength to hold the door shut. She finally lost, and the door swung opened. Twilight immediately gasped, and wished she had just trusted Fluttershy.
In the middle of Fluttershy's cottage was a teal stallion. Or, what was left of a teal stallion, anyways. He was currently crushed under 300 pounds of bookshelf. Blood and a few organs splattered all over the center of the room, as well as the walls. His pink hair was strewn all over the place. Some blood even stained Fluttershy's tail and backside. There was even a bloody hammer laying on the floor in front of the scene.
Angel Bunny was currently sniffing around the body. He didn't seem to be freaked out about it at all. He probably had something to do with this.
Twilight stood in the doorway, her jaw practically on the floor as she attempted to process the scene in front of her. Fluttershy stood in the corner, hiding behind her mane, still on the verge of tears. Once Twilight had gotten over the shock and fear, she was able to push out just a few words.
"Fluttershy?! What...the fuck?!"
Fluttershy and Angel both gasped. "Twilight!" Fluttershy cried, in an accusatory tone. "How could you use such language?!"
Twilight's head shot to Fluttershy, then back to the corpse on the floor, then back to Fluttershy again. "There's a dead stallion on the floor in front of us, and you're scolding me for my language?!"
Fluttershy meekly nodded, still hiding behind her mane.
"Fine." Twilight responded, her eyes half lidded. "What the buck did you do? This is bucking bad!"
Fluttershy squeaked and backed up against the wall. "I'm...I'm sorry Twilight..." she murmured, followed by a little sniffle. "P-Please don't be mad at me! It was an accident, I swear!"
"Fluttershy, you're a murderer!" Twilight shouted at Fluttershy, rather aggressively.
Fluttershy, who had somehow managed to back up against the wall even more, had finally started to tear up. Shes held herself together pretty well until this point. Angel hopped between the two of them, and stood right in front of Fluttershy, holding his little paws out as if defending her. He growled at Twilight. Even all of Angel's years of acting like a spoiled little shit, he was still willing to protect his owner.
"Do you have any idea what will happen if somepony discovers this?" Twilight asked, as she immediately began to panic. "Y-You could be sent to Tarturus, or- or thrown in the canterlot dungeon- or" she began to pace is circles, making an effort to avoid the puddle of blood, of course.
"I...I'm sorry..." She mumbled. "I really didn't mean to..." a single tear ran down her face.
"And...now that I'm here-" Twilight said, still thinking out loud. "Am I a witness? Am I an Accessory? Will people think I did it? I haven't read up on any of my law books recently, but-" Twilight looked stopped her ranting when she noticed Fluttershy crying in the corner. She took a deep breath. Twilight was the Princess of friendship, so should she choose friendship in this situation, and help her friend out? Twilight sighed, and hung her head low. "Can...what even happened?"
"Well...uhm..." Fluttershy attempted to collect herself enough to tell the story. "Well, he k-knocked on my door, and..."
Angel rolled his little bunny eyes and lifted a paw up to silence Fluttershy. He looked at Twilight and began to re-enact the whole situation. Twilight was never good with charades, especially with a bunny, so she was only able to gather a little bit of what he was trying to say.
It had something to do with the stallion, a hammer, a block of cheese, and...something sexual? He began to make a hole with one paw and stick a finger into it and move it in and out. Fluttershy stood behind him and nodded.
"Yeah, s-see! Like that!" Fluttershy exclaimed.
Once Angel began to pretend he was holding a bat, or as Twilight knew through deductive reasoning- a hammer, to beat something, Twilight finally used a hoof to stop Angel. "Yeah, I didn't get any of that." Twilight said, dryly.
Fluttershy took a deep breath, and then cleared her throat. "Well...he...he barged into my cottage..." Fluttershy said quietly, staring at the floor.
"So, you murdered him?!" Twilight shouted. Obviously, Twilight knew her friend well enough to know there was more to the story, but Twilight was predictably in full crisis mode right now.
Fluttershy just pathetically squeaked as Twilight yelled at her. "N-No..." She cleared her throat again. "He...he tried to..." She mumbled, as more tears began to pour down her face. "I...I think..."
Twilight took another deep breath, just to try and calm herself down. Being on the verge of a panic attack isn't exactly an enjoyable situation to be in. None of this was. She looked at her friend. Seeing her meekly trying to tell the story made Twilight realize, even if she was not a murderer, she was still her friend, and goddamnit, weather it was an accident or not, Twilight had to back her friend up, no matter what. She was the princess of friendship after all.
She walked up to Fluttershy and wrapped her up in a warm embrace, hugging her friend so hard she was squeezing her. It seemed to have caught her off guard. "You're...you're not mad at me?" Fluttershy mumbled into Twilight's ear.
"No..." The alicorn responded, mumbling right back into Fluttershy's ear. "It was self defense, right? He tried to hurt you...I'll help you clean this mess up."
Fluttershy started to cry into Twilights shoulder, and Twilight held her in the hug until she was ready. "Thank you...Twilight...I know this is an awful situation..."
"Right...uh, don't mention it." She replied, patting Fluttershys back. "Luckily, I've read up on a lot of books about hiding bodies."
Fluttershy looked up at her, an eyebrow cocked. "R-Really?"
"No." She responded, dryly. "I probably should have, though, cause I guess you never know when you'll have to help a friend hide the body of a pony she accidentally killed..."
Behind them, Angel Bunny slammed his feet against the floor to get their attention. Once they took notice of him, he shoved a clock in Twilight's face. Twilight awkwardly smiled. "Right. We should...probably get going."

Twilight dropped the load of various supplies on the counter, smiling at the mare working the cash register. The mare lifted an eyebrow at Twilight as she looked at the pile.
Rubber gloves, sponges, disinfectant, and even some oxy cleaner. Twilight smiled at the cashier. She wordlessly began to ring her up.
"I need these for a science experiment." Twilight finally said, looking at the cashier with an almost fake smile.
The cashier looked back at her, with a deadpan look on her face. "K." She responded, dryly.
"Just...didn't want you to get suspicious." Twilight responded, rolling her eyes. "Nope! Just regular science. Nothing sinister."
"K."
"Soooo...you're not gonna ask what the experiment is?" Of course, Twilight had already picked out an answer to that particular question, as well as probably every other question possible to ask.
The cashier narrowed her eyes at the princess, and glared at her, before finally responding. "Nah."
"Oh." Twilight responded, clearing her throat a little. "Okay then."
The cashier finished ringing Twilight's stuff up, and bagged it all up for her. "That'll be 20.57."
Twilight immediately began to dig through her saddlebag with her magic. She pulled the bits out and set them on the counter, and then used her hoof to push them towards the cashier.
"What's that on your hoof?" The cashier asked, as she adjusted her oversized glasses to see Twilight's hoof.
She had a mini panic attack when she looked at her own hoof, and saw a few blood smears on it. Fuck! She must have picked it up from Fluttershy's floor.
"It's corn syrup." She responded.
The cashier looked up at Twilight, and then took a closer look at her hoof. "That don't look like corn syrup."
Twilight began to sweat a little, biting her lip nervously. She wasn't buying it! Now what? And, without thinking, she just responded;
"I'm on my period."
The cashier's jaw immediately dropped and some blushed covered her cheeks. "Oh- I didn't-"
"It's a bad one." Twilight continued, "I'm still adjusting to being an alicorn and all. It comes with some pretty-"
"O-Okay, I've heard enough." The cashier said, quickly tossing Twilight's stuff to her. "Here. P-Please leave now."
As Twilight turned around and walked out the door of the store, she whispered to herself,
"Nailed it."

Fluttershy left the hardware store, and in a wagon behind herself she carried a large heavy crate and a shovel. As Twilight went to get the cleaning supplies they'd need, Fluttershy was of course sent to get the shovel and crate. She definately had a shovel back at her cottage, but they'd have to bury it with the stallion. Fluttershy didn't really want the thing they used to bury a dead pony at her house.
As she nervously walked through town, she looked around to make sure nopony would notice or question her. Which was of course too much to ask.
"Fluttershy, what are you doing?" Asked Rainbow Dash, who was currently perched on a cloud.
Fluttershy immediately froze, and then turned around to face her friend. "Oh, uh, hi Rainbow!" Fluttershy responded, as a little sweat began to form on her forehead.
"You're acting suspicious." Rainbow responded, hopping from her cloud and landing on front of Fluttershy.
"W-What? No I'm not! You're acting suspicious. What are you doing out here in the middle of the night?"
Rainbow rolled her eyes. "Stop trying to turn this around on me."
Fluttershy's eyes widened, and she immediately looked at the ground. "O-okay. I'm sorry..."
"In any case..." Rainbow said, as she flew over Fluttershy to look into her wagon. "I was sleeping, obviously." She pointed up to her little cloud, which had a pillow and blanket on it. "Now it's your turn to tell me what you're doing."
"I'm...just picking up a few things..." As she talked, she moved the wagon away from Rainbow's view.
"At midnight?"
"Yes."
"What do you need a crate and shovel for?"
"Renovations." She finally said, trying to act as casual and non-suspicious as she could.
Rainbow Dash narrowed her eyes at Fluttershy. She backed up nervously, but Dash just followed her. With their faces about an inch apart, Dash finally responded. "Okay. Have fun with that. Night."
She flew back up to her cloud and slid under her blanket. Fluttershy sighed in relief and began to walk back to her cottage.
But of course, Dash wasn't actually convinced that easily.

The wooden crate wasn't usually too heavy, however, having a dead stallion inside of it adds a good 200 pounds. 200 pounds that Twilight had to drag all the way through ponyville and into the everfree forest. The trio was currently deep into the forest, they even moved off the path in order to find the most secluded area, perfect for dumping a body.
After the body had been moved into the crate, Fluttershy's cottage had been cleaned completely, wall to wall, every inch of it. Or at least, as far as they knew, but nobody was gonna search there anyways. It took them a couple hours of walking- and hopping- before they finally found it. A small clearing, covered up above by thick trees, and surrounded by thorny bushes and shrubs.
"Alright, this looks like the perfect place to start digging." Twilight said, finally dropping the heavy crate onto the ground. Almost on top of Angel Bunny. He hopped out of the way and glared up at Twilight. She awkwardly rubbed the back of her head. "Oops, sorry, Angel."
"Uhm- T-Twilight?" Asked Fluttershy, before clearing her throat. "Is it really n-necessary to drag the body all the way here?" She was visibly shivering.
"Yes," Twilight responded, rubbing the sweat off of her forehead. "I already explained this to you, Fluttershy. I can't just poof things away. I need to send them somewhere."
"Can't you send it...uh...underground?" She awkwardly smiled down at Twilight. Angel rolled his eyes and then used his feet to thump Fluttershy's hoof.
"Listen," Twilight said, turning around and pushing her snout up against Fluttershy's. "If I could use my magic to solve this, I would. I can't just poof it underground, I can't poof it into oblivion, I can't poof it to do anything. We need to find somewhere to hide it, and since we already came all the way out here, turning back now is a bad idea, don't you think?"
Fluttershy gulped and then nodded. "O-Okay..."
"Now, can we get back on track? I'd rather get this body dealt with sooner rather than later." Fluttershy nervously nodded. She didn't want to go into the everfree forest, especially carrying a body with her, but Twilight seemed sure that this was the only way to get it taken care of.
Twilight lifted the shovel that they brought with her magic, and began to dig into the dirt, but immediately discovered how hard the dirt actually was. She began to try and use the tip of the shovel to loosen the dirt up, but it was no use, the shovel wasn't doing much.
Finally, Twilight's frustration got the best of her. "Fucking- fuck fuck fuck!" she shouted, using her magic to throw the shovel to the ground. "I knew this spot was too perfect. This is such horseshit!"
"Twilight!" Fluttershy shouted. "Such harsh language."
"How can you expect me to be calm, Fluttershy? We're literally dealing with a dead stallion here!" Twilight shouted, as her breathing began to get heavier. Her panic finally began to get the best of her. "I didn't even kill him! That's on you!"
"O-Okay- I'm sorry Twilight..." Fluttershy hid behind her mane again and backed up.
Twilight immediately saw how her yelling had affected her friend, and took a deep breath. "I'm sorry, Fluttershy, I shouldn't have yelled at you."
"It's OK Twilight..." Fluttershy responded, walking up and giving Twilight a little hug. "Here, let me try digging." Fluttershy picked the shovel up and held it in her hooves, and lightly scraped the ground with it. After about a minute of scraping, she hadn't even made a difference.
Finally, Angel Bunny rolled his eyes and hopped into the area they were trying to dig. Immediately, Angel started to dig at the ground. That's right- rabbits dig!
And, he was actually making a dent, in no time they'd have a hole deep enough to bury the crate.That is, until a loud roar was heard coming from the treeline. Immediately, Twilight, Fluttershy and Angel all jumped and huddled up together.
"W-What was that?!" Fluttershy asked, still shivering."
Twilight looked around them. Nothing but darkness. It was hard to see in this pitch-black forest. "It sounded like a..."
Before she could finish, that was when the trees began to shake, and out jumped a Timberwolf. It lunged at the three of them, with a roar. Fluttershy screamed, and grabbed Angel and bolted. Of course, not before Twilight grabbed the crate with her magic and followed close behind. They all ran through the forest, running for Twilight was especially hard with the load she was carrying.
"T-Twilight-" Fluttershy asked, looking over at her friend. "Why are you carrying the body?"
"Because, Fluttershy," Twilight responded, slowly running out of breath. "If we leave the body, the timberwolf will-" Suddenly, the two of them were stopped when they were cornered against a stone cliff, with a large river on one side. Twilight looked at Fluttershy and grabbed her face with her hooves. "Fluttershy, that's it, I have an idea!" Said Twilight.
"D-Does it involve us being d-devoured by a t-timberwolf?"
"Not exactly." Twilight turned to face the timberwolf, which had now caught up with them, and the lifted the crate up with her magic to the timberwolf's face. He sniffed it, and began to salivate. "You want some food, you big timberwolf? Yes you do!"
Fluttershy, who was cowering behind Twilight, looked up long enough to see what Twilight's rather brilliant plan was.
"W-What are you doing?"
"Well, you see," Twilight responded, trying to focus on both her magic and explaining to Fluttershy. "If we let the timberwolf here eat the body, not only do we distract him long enough to escape, but we can blame the murder on this timberwolf!"
The timberwolf seemed practically hypnotized by the box containing 200 pounds of mutilated pony guts. Twilight was about to lunge it into the river, that is until, a certain rainbow colored streak came dashing through the sky and threw itself into the timberwolf, causing it to crumble into a million pieces. She then did another swoop in the air, and used the force created by her wings to push a good portion of the remaining timber into the river, to keep him from reforming.
"No need to thank me, guys!" Said Rainbow Dash, as she flew down and landed in front of the trio. "Seriously, though, thank me now for saving you asses from that timberwolf now."
Though, for some reason, Twilight didn't look happy at all. "Rainbow Dash, we needed the Timberwolf alive!" Twilight responded, walking up to Rainbow.
"Why?" Asked Rainbow, shrugging. "You two are acting all kinds of suspicious tonight. What's with the crate? And what are you doing out here in the woods at 3:00 in the morning?"
"Well..." Twilight thought for a moment, trying to come up with an excuse. "The question is, what are you doing out here at 3:00 in the morning?"
Rainbow glared at Twilight. "Seriously? Fluttershy tried to turn this around on me, too!"
Twilight looked back at Fluttershy, and gritted her teeth. "It sure would have been nice to know you ran into Rainbow Dash."
Fluttershy smiled nervously back.
"Seriously, though, what's in the crate." Rainbow asked, as she flew over to the crate. Twilight kept moving it away from her so she couldn't see.
"Nothing of your concern, Rainbow."
"C'mon, friends tell friends secrets, right? Show me!"
"This secret is too secret."
"Nothing is too secret for me, Twilight."
"This one is."
"G-Girls, please stop fighting..." Fluttershy tried to interject, but the girls kept fighting. That is, until Angel bunny jumped at them.
In an attempt to get them to stop, he hopped up onto the crate, acidentally causing it to fall from Twilight's magic and spill out all over the ground.
"Angel!" Fluttershy yelled. "What was that for?"
Of course, Angel went right to explaining himself using his style of charades.
Fluttershy stopped paying attention to him, though, when she saw the guts and blood on the ground. Her face went green and she looked away to resist throwing up.
Meanwhile, Rainbow stared at it, her eyes wide and jaw dropped. "N-no wa- b-but you...you..." She was struggling to put words together at the sight.
"R-Rainbow, wait, it's not what it looks like!" Twilight tried to defend, as she slid between Rainbow and the corpse.
Rainbow shook her head, and then looked up at the alicorn. "You know what this looks like?" She asked, as she stood straight up and glared at Twilight. "This looks like...you murdered somepony and are trying to hide the body!"
Twilight and Fluttershy both gulped, exchanging glances with eachother.
"That...is..." Rainbow then jumped up and pushed her nose against Twilight's. "So awesome!" She shouted. "I never thought either of you had it in you to do something like this!"
Fluttershy and Twilight exchanged glances again. "Soooo...you're not gonna turn us in?" Twilight asked, raising an eyebrow at Rainbow.
"What?! No!" Rainbow said, looking over the the contents of the pony on the ground. "I'm sure he had it coming. Did he?"
Fluttershy meekly looked at Rainbow, and then nodded slowly. "Yes..."
"Who did it?!" Asked Rainbow. Her excitement over this could only be described at...creepy. "I bet it was Twilight! Did you use your horn and stab him right in the-"
"It was me..." Fluttershy mumbled, backing up a bit and hiding behind her mane. "I did it...b-but it was an accident."
"Fluttershy?" Rainbow flew up to her and looked into her eyes. "No way! I didn't think you had it in you to kill anypony!"
"Rainbow," said Twilight, using her magic to grab Rainbow's tail and yanking her away from Fluttershy. "Excuse me for asking, but why are you so damn excited over this?"
Rainbow shrugged. "Eh, no reason." She landed on the ground and used her hoof to scrape the dirt. "Well? C'mon guys, get digging! Time's-a-wastin'!" Rainbow exclimed. Twilight, Fluttershy, and Angel then joined her in digging a hole. The ground was a lot softer here, thank Celestia.
Within no time, they had a hole deep enough to bury him.

The three ponies- and bunny- walked from the everfree forest, as the sun began to rise over the horizon. As expected, the three of them were dirty, and their manes frazzled. Of course they bathed in the river to wash any blood off of themselves, but they were still rather dirty.
"Now, remember girls, we will never, ever speak of this again." Twilight reminded them, giving the two other ponies a serious look. Fluttershy and Rainbow both nodded in agreement. "We...we probably shouldn't even think about it, either, just to be safe. Probably best to forget-" She was cut off when Rainbow soved a hoof in her mouth.
"Shut it, Twilight. We get it."
Twilight then nodded, and Rainbow pulled her hoof out, of course covered in Twilight's drool. "Fluttershy, do you want me to walk you home, or can I head back to my castle? Spike must be worried since I never returned last night.
"Go on, Twilight," said Rainbow, waving a hoof in her direction. "I got Fluttershy."
Twilight nodded, as she turned around and flew towards her castle.
Rainbow looked at Fluttershy, lifting en eyebrow. "So, uh...how are you holding up?"
Fluttershy looked away from her. "Fine..." she mumbled, it sounded like she was doing everything she could to hold back tears.
"That's a lie." Rainbow said as she flew over Fluttershy and landed to face her, and Fluttershy only looked away from her again.
"I just..." Fluttershy said, before immediately running up to Rainbow and wrapping her in a tight hug. "It was so awful, Rainbow! Oh, it was terrible!" She cried, at this point completely sobbing.
"Yeah, uh, there there..." Rainbow meekly responded, patting Fluttershy's head. "It...happens."
"No, it doesn't, Rainbow. I'm a..." She looked around to make sure nopony was around to hear. "murderer."
"It's okay, Fluttershy. You'll be fine." She responded, allowing Fluttershy to cry into her mane. We all knew Rainbow, this normally wasn't her thing, but she was just helping a friend in need.
Fluttershy looked up at Rainbow and sniffled. "R-Rainbow? How come you were so...casual about all of this?"
"Hm?" Rainbow then looked down at Fluttershy, and then shrugged. "Well, you know, I do save ponies a lot, but sometimes I also gotta..." she looked awa, a but nervously. "Haven't you ever wondered why the wonderbolts new recruits keep disappearing?"

Obviously it's not the most original idea, but I've been wanting to get back into writing for a while and figured it wouldn't hurt to try this out.
Plus it's not too shabby for something I finished in an afternoon.

"Fluttershy, you don't look too good." Said Pinkie Pie, sitting at her side of the picnic blanket, sipping a comically large cup of tea. "Ew. I hate tea! Why am I drinking this?!"
Fluttershy sat on her end of the blanket, just staring down at it. Not saying a word. Pinkie raised an eyebrow at her, and then cleared her throat to get her attention. Fluttershy jumped a little, and then looked up at her friend.
"Oh, uh, it's...it's nothing." Fluttershy responded.
After the events that took place the night before, she honestly was struggling to focus on her lunch with her Pinkie Pie, or anything else, for that matter.
"Oh, come on, fluttershy, don't lie to me." Pinkie said, leaning across the table and poking her muzzle with her own. "I know you're upset about something. And I know exactly what it is." she said, glaring directly at her friend.
Fluttershy gulped, and sweat was already beginning to form on her brow. "O-Oh, r-really?"
"Yes, I know what you did!"
Fluttershy began to shake, before slamming her head against the ground, tears pouring down her face. "I'm sorry!" she whaled. "It was an accident, I swear!"
"Calm down, Fluttershy." Pinkie said, rolling her eyes. "I know it was awful, but it's nothing to cry over."
"I just f-feel so bad!" Fluttershy whaled again. Almost as dramatically as Rarity would.
Pinkie Pie stretched her rubber-like hooves over and pulled Fluttershy closer to her. "I'm not mad, Fluttershy. I really don't even like rice crispy treats that much!"
Fluttershy then took a deep breath, and looked around. "W-What?!"
"Okay, that was a lie." Pinkie responded, rubbing the side of her head with a hoof. "I love them. I just didn't want to make you feel worse for eating mine!"
"Wait...rice crispy treat?!"
"Well, DUH!" Pinkie said, rolling her eyes. She pointed at a random spot on the picnic blanket. "I set it right there, and then I get up to go pee behind that tree." She responded, pointing at a random tree.
"Wait, you peed behind a tree-"
Fluttershy was cut off as Pinkie continued her story. "And then I come back, and it was just gone. Rice crispy treats don't just vanish off the face of Equestria, Fluttershy!"
Fluttershy cleared her throat, and then looked up at Pinkie, tears still coming from her eyes. "R-Really? That's it?"
"Come on Fluttershy, just admit it!" Pinkie begged, rubbing Fluttershy's head.
"O-Okay, Pinkie, I ate your treat. I'm sorry." Fluttershy responded, unable to look her friend in the eye.
"Well, I forgive you, Fluttershy." Pinkie said, patting her head gently. "But next time, you might not get so lucky."
Of course, she had no idea what in Equestria happened to Pinkie's treat, but right now, she didn't even care. She was just glad to have gotten Pinkie off her back for now.
Pinkie took another sip from her cup, before randomly pouring the tea out onto the grass. "I'm more of a punch person. Do we have any punch?" She began to look around at the picnic. There were sandwiches, tea, and some soda, but no punch.
"N-No, I didn't bring any. I can go get some!" Fluttershy said, giving Pinkie a weak smile. It was really her first smile since...the incident.
"Nah, I'll make do with this soda." Pinkie said, reaching over and attempting to open a bottle. How the fuck do soda bottles work in Equestria? It's best not to think about it too hard. "Oh, by the way, did you hear about that missing pony?!" Pinkie asked, still attempting to break into her soda.
Fluttershy's eyes shot opened, and again, she was on edge. "M-Missing...?"
"Yeah, his name is Flicky Bulb. Teal coat, red mane. Had a cutie mark of a lightbulb." She said, causally.
Fluttershy gulped, and immediately began to sweat again. Poor mare can't catch a break. "N-No, I haven't heard of him..."
"Yeah, he was a big deal!" Pinkie continued, before finally cracking the seal on her soda and taking a swig from it. "Some brilliant inventor from manehattan. He came here to ponyville to show off his new invention, and then just...disappeared last night, without a trace!" She continued.
"Oh...that's...weird." Fluttershy continued, lying through her teeth.
"Yeah, I know! The last thing anyone saw..." She began to rub her chin as she tried to remember. "That's right! His assistant said he went out to relax or something."
Fluttershy looked at the ground, rubbing her mane. "Does trying to assault helpless mares count as relaxing?" She mumbled.
"I mean, probably!" Pinkie responded, before gulping the rest of her soda down and throwing the can behind herself. "But, he's respected. I don't think he'd do something like that!"
"How...do you know all this?" Fluttershy asked Pinkie. It was very important that she knows the whole situation here, for obvious reasons.
"Oh, Mayor Mare told me!" Pinkie responded. "She's looking for a detective to try and find him, since he's so important and all. Twilight was there, too. For some reason, she was acting all nervous and suspicious over it. Kind of how you're acting right now!"
Fluttershy gulped, and then slunk down even more. "S-Suspicious...?"
"Yeah!" Pinkie said, again, leaning across the blanket and looking Fluttershy dead in the eyes. "You're acting cuh-razy weird right now! Almost..." She rubbed her chin again, before shooting the other mare a suspicious look. "As if you know something about it?"
Fluttershy gulped and began to crawl back a bit. "W-What?! No! I would n-never! I...uh..."
"Nah, nevermind!" Pinkie shouted, reaching over and pulling Fluttershy back close to herself. "You're the most innocent pony I know! You would never, ever have anything to do with a missing pony."
"R-Right..." Fluttershy mumbled.
"Whelp, gotta blast!" Pinkie shouted, before jumping to her hooves and grabbing the cake that was sitting on the blanket and setting it on her head. "Fun picnic, Fluttershy! We need to spend time together more often!" She began to bounce away, humming to herself.
Of course, Fluttershy disagreed. This was just one day. How could she spend the rest of her life living with this guilt and shame? Or fear of getting caught? Her life would never be the same after that night.
And yet, once she had time to calm down, something began to tug at her mind. She could't really help but wonder...
Who the fuck actually ate Pinkie's rice crispy treat?!
