Oh Give me a BREAK! THERE'S ANOTHER ONE?!/ Power Failure?!

The sun soon began to rise, the rainstorm was over and it was finally beginning to look like spring. Though the ground was a bit damp from the violent storm that took place overnight everything else seemed to look fine and beautiful, the sky was a mixture orange with the pinkish blue clouds moving along. The birds were singing on tree branches.

Flash’s alarm clock began to go off, waking up the very exhausted teenager, “Aww man!” he moaned, “I have to stop doing this late night or else I’m not gonna function right in the morning.” Flash slowly got up from his bed, crackling his eyes and sitting up. Flash was still very exhausted from the night before, he didn’t remember what time he fell asleep but he did realize one thing, that he forgot to change out of his Spider-Man costume. But, what Flash did remember though was his little temper-tantrum, when he had snapped, this made him frown. He wasn’t exactly so peachy to remember that and wanted to block it from his mind.

"Okay Sentry! It's a new day, everything will go just fine!" He threw the Green Jacket he wore over his costume off of him along with that red hoodie which he also wore on top of his costume and eventually his whole costume. He ran to his dresser to see what he had. It was mostly a bunch of long sleeves, rummaging through the drawer, he pulled out a Blue long sleeve shirt. He put it over his costume before flipping backwards across his room. He went to his dresser to see what else he had, he took out a pair of black denim jeans and put on some shoes. Then he looked down at the floor in which he threw his whole Spider-Man ensemble. He was contemplating whether or not Spider-Man would even be needed for today.

"It's fine Flash! Spider-Man probably needs a break!" As he put his bag over his shoulder he glanced back at is again, "No-No! Flash it's one day, what are the chances you'll even need it?" He went to go to the door, but then thought about possible scenarios like things possibly going haywire or if his mom finds the costume. "Ugh Dammit" He facepalmed him self, he couldn't even leave the costume at home without feeling paranoid. He walked over to the pile of clothing and stuffed it in his bag.

Flash walked to his school, Canterlot High, the school which he'd been going to for all of his high school career. He headed towards the front gate to the school, where he was met by one of his good friends, Soarin. "Hey Sentry!"

Flash smiled, at least the day was starting off okay, "Hey!"

The two started walking inside and walked into the busy hallways of Canterlot High, "So.. how's the project coming along?" The two were building a windmill generator for their science class.

"It's coming along just fine! I mean I might need a few more things!" Flash shrugged, the two were both heading to the same class, Geography. As Flash and Soarin were walking and conversating, something caught Flash's eyes, it was his girlfriend Sunset Shimmer. They've had a rocky relationship so far and they had gotten into a fight earlier in the week and had not been talking to each other.

Sunset! oh man I have to make it up her somehow! Flash turned to Soarin, "Uh hey you head to class, I uh gotta take care of something!" Soarin looked confused. He glanced over Flash's shoulder and also saw Sunset, she was at her locker getting out a few things.

So understandably he shrugged, "Uh Okay?" He headed off to class and left Flash there who focused his gaze on Sunset.

Flash started approaching the girl, "Sunset!" He called out her name in the distance causing her to look away at her locker and glance at the oncoming student. Flash stopped right in front of Sunset and began to speak, "Look about Sunday night! I didn't mean to miss that date I--" She put her hand right in front of his face signalling him to stop talking.

She smiled, something which was kind of odd to Flash, he expected her to still be mad at him, "I know!" she said, "But I also know how you can make it up to me!" Flash's eyes lit up, it was like all the bad luck from yesterday had finally washed off.

"How?" He replied almost a bit too quickly but also ecstatically.

"Tonight! At the Rainbooms concert, at the performing arts Center." She reached into her pocket and handed Flash a ticket, "Don't be late, Please!" She momentarily touched his cheek before kissing him on the cheek and walking off. Flash smiled, he felt like the world had finally stopped cursing him with horrible luck, things were looking up for the blue haired teenager. Well almost everything.

Flash's eyes widened after he heard the bell ring, "Aw man! I'm gonna be late!"

***

It was 8:00, it was a very chilly night, a wind blowing through the air, a few puddles still on the ground, glistening in the moonlight. Most people would be either asleep or working at this time but not Flash, he was over ecstatic, something he hadn't felt in days, weeks, months even.

It was almost the same feeling Sunset had. She was in her dressing room also feeling ecstatic, not just because of how many people had shown up for the whole gig, but because she was expecting a very special person, that person was Flash Sentry. She really wanted him to be there, to show him how far their band had come. After all he was one of the few people ever that encouraged Sunset about making her dream into a reality and not leaving it in the dust.

Rarity noticed Sunset acting a bit perky in her chair, "You seem overly ecstatic tonight!"

Sunset giggled a little, "I know! This really exciting!"

Rarity chuckled at Sunset's excitement, "Don't overexcite yourself darling! We have to keep your composure if we want this event to go perfectly!"

As they were chitchatting, a stage worker popped his head behind the dressing room door, "Hey girls, 5 minutes, chop-chop!"

Meanwhile outside the arts center, people were making their way inside and trying to get to their seats. A lot of the people coming to the center were from Canterlot High while others were from Crystal Prep and a lot of civilians from the city. In retrospect there were a lot of people.

Flash was in his mom's car, they were driving up next to the curb. "Okay I'll be back to pick you up! Just have fun with your friends and stay safe!" said Sabrina, Flash's mother.

"Okay Mom!" Flash got out of the car and closed the door waiving to his mother. He turned around and marveled at the area, there were still so many people showing up to the event. Wow! At this rate there probably gonna have a billion record deals!

But Flash was interrupted, he heard a momentary ring and then everything around him went quiet, he was only able to hear drifting, like a vehicle drifting on the road, Flash gasped "My Spider-Senses are tingling!" He turned around and saw a motorcycle barrelling right towards him! Flash jumped out of the way, landing on the grass as the motorcycle zoomed right past him. The motorcyclist had a bag slumped onto one shoulder and he was shooting a sub-machine gun in the other hand.

Flash could almost hear his dad speak to him, Well compadre! What are you waiting for? Go get em'! Flash let out a sigh, everything had been going so perfectly up until now. "Looks like this where the fun begins!" Flash glanced back over at the building in which he was supposed to enter, He didn't want to let Sunset down, she really wanted him to be there. "Let's hope I make it back in time!" Flash started walking off, the walks slowly became jogs which slowly became sprints! He was sprinting towards an alleyway!

Meanwhile, the motorcyclist who had drove past Flash was glancing behind him and shooting as much police cruisers as possible. "Shit! I swear on my life these guys keep coming and coming!" But it appeared though the Robbing Motorcyclist wasn't alone.

This was because a radio transmitted voice in his helmet with a strong Sicilian accent replied to the statement he made## "Yeah, Yeah! Jus stick to the plan and we won't end up as Big Man's human fucking Risotto capcihe? " ## Big Man was a crime boss in Canterlot City, he is rumored to be in control the waterfront operations in Canterlot, most notably the Canterlot Bordeaux.

The motorcyclist who had somewhat of the same Sicilian accent spoke, "Okay I--" He took an abrupt pause to shoot an officer behind him, missing however, "How far's the escape copter at huh?"

## "Just keep following the waypoint and you'll be on your marry damn way!" ##

But in pursuit was Spider-Man, the web slinging vigilante of Canterlot City! "Man! This guy can do two things! Shooting cops and driving a motorcycle!? Hell I can't do any of that." Spider-Man was a bit impressed but stayed focused on stopping the crazed driver not wanting to miss out on Sunset's huge show, "Wait!? Remember Sentry! Sunset's concert is tonight, don't blow it!"

Spider-Man fired another webline and angled himself downwards. People in the streets watched as Spider-Man pursued a criminal in the streets of the city. Phones were out, people cheering while other's were less than amused to see the web-slinger. Nevertheless it was a very exciting scene to witness.

The Motorcyclist hadn't even notice Spider-Man if it wasn't for one of his mirrors. As he was driving he glanced at his mirror, "What the he--", before he could even utter such mild language! Spider-Man caught the lunatic driver, grabbing the back of his collar to his jacket, suspending him from his motorcycle and carrying him up into the air.

"Hello there, welcome to Air-Spidey, where first class is our speciality!" Spider-Man joked, trying to lighten the mood.

"WHAT THE-- LET GO OF ME YOU WALL CRAWLING ARACHNAID!" Even though the Motorcyclist snarled at Spider-Man he did manage to do one thing that no other criminal is ever able to do, distinguish Spiders from bugs.

"Hey!" Spider-Man shot out in an almost congratulating tone, "You know you're the first person to actually acknowledge Spiders being arachnids, dude that's kind of amazi--"

Spider-Man trailed off as the Motorcyclist pointed a Uzi at him, "LET ME GO!" The Motorcycilst, like any one of Canterlot's criminals were not so fond of Spider-Man's jokes and demanded to be put down.

Spider-Man merely sighed, And it was going so well to, oh well...Spider-Man webbed up the gun, seizing it from the motorcyclist grasp. Then Spider-Man noticed the bag slinked onto his shoulder, now usually he wouldn't care about a criminal's possessions but the bag caught his eye for one reason, it was a CircoVision bag, What's a bum like this doing with one of these? Truth be told, Flash had been growing more and more interested in the company after his battle with The Green Goblin, after he found out his best friend Micro Chips had stolen stuff from the company and create that alter alias that Spider-Man had gone up against.

"Well might as well finish this before I lose track of time" The hand which was grasping the motorcyclist's collar made it's way to the handle of the company branded, CircoVison backpack. Spider-Man yanked the bag off of the criminal and slunk it over his shoulder. "Well looks like we are arriving to your destination, I hope you had an amazing flight!" Spider-Man joked, "We also do not ever want to see your face return again!" Spider-Man angled himself downward towards the ground. He tossed the man mid air, not too high as they were about to land onto the concrete.

Spider-Man webbed a soft landing for the motorcyclist but as soon as he landed on the webbing, Spider-Man webbed him up, encasing him in a cocoon on webbing! "IF YOU WERE EVEN A REAL AIRLINE I'D RATE YOU -10 OUT OF 10 YA FU--" Spider-Man shot a web in his mouth and opened the bag, not really thinking much.

"Yeah, Yeah I get that a lot! Jeez what would you even want from a company like CircoVision anyway?" Spider-Man pondered. He unzipped the bag and went through the contents inside. He couldn't tell what it was, it looked really high tech but even so Spider-Man couldn't figure out what they were, and he was supposed to be a science major of all things. "What in the worl-- MY SPIDER-SENSES!"

But before he could react, Spider-Man was struck by the most painful thing in that he could've possibly ever felt, it was like Goblin's glove discharge but just x1000 more painful, maybe even more! "ARRGH!" Spider-Man groaned in pain.

"I'll be taking this thank you very much!" It was Zek, he had a grin on his face, the bag was intended for him and those items that Spider-Man had been looking at were devices that could help Zek store more and more electricity.

Spider-Man staggered to his feet after he felt the stinging pain leave his body, putting his hoodie over his head Spider-Man looked at Electro and got himself into an offensive stance, "Who are you?" He demanded, "And what is all that?"

Electro had a twisted grin, it gave Spider-Man some Green Goblin vibes, "Call me... ELECTRO!"

Rainbow Dash and her band the Rainbooms, all colorfully dressed in unique dresses all huddled together, "Okay we are gonna go out there and be AWESOME!" Everyone cheered in unison having a bit of a pep rally moment. They all headed to the stage and their instruments.

Sunset was probably the most excited out of all, her adrenaline was off the roof, maybe it was the crowd and how roaring loud they were, it was almost unreal, in the bands whole career they had never seen or heard anything like it. Or maybe it was just the sheer excitement. Or maybe she was just excited to see Flash their, in her mind she considered him a 'Special Guest'

They all got into stage position, Pinkie Pie sat on the seat, that stood right behind the drum set Rarity picked up her electric keyboard and put the sash of it over her shoulder, Twilight Sparkle took the only Microphone which was not on a stand and made sure it worked.

"Ahem Testing 1,2 ? They all giggled a little at that.

Fluttershy picked up a tambourine off the ground, and finally Sunset Shimmer, Applejack and Rainbow Dash all got their guitars and plugged them into amp's.

"Alright everyone behind me!" Rainbow Dash commanded, this was her band after all. They all stood in a triangular formation behind Rainbow Dash, with the exception of Pinkie Pie who was behind the drums. The curtains began to rise slowly, this was it! This was their big night!

Meanwhile, back at the city, Spider-Man lunged towards Electro, sprinting at him. He then began to dive towards him, extending his leg in an attempt to kick him. But as soon as he got as close as few millimetres to Electro, he sent back being electrocuted and crashing into a wall and falling onto his face.

"What?" Spider-Man was confused, he didn't even touch him and yet he was sent back. Spider-Man, once again staggered to his feet and tried again. He shot a strand of web which wrapped around a street light pole. Spider-Man swung towards Electro, outstretching both his feet and made another attempt to kick him.

No use! He was sent back flying into another wall, Impossible! I can't hit him and I can't even touch him! But how?! Spider-Man was baffled, he was trying to wrap his head around how he was being electrocuted by Electro without him even doing an action.

"So are ya gonna keep playing chicken?" Electro sneered, "Because I have a pretty schedule you know!" He laughed a little, usually Zek was more headstrong and arrogant but since he's barley lifting a finger he's found the whole situation a bit hilarious.

Spider-Man rose up and got back to his feet and pointed at Electro, "You know by the sounds of that I'm starting to get the implications that you're a bit of a nutjob!"

Zek smirked a bit more, chuckling a little he just shrugged, "Okay then your choice!" and with that sneer Electro began to charge up energy without Spider-Man noticing. Spider-Man on the other hand was trying to figure out a certain game plan, something he could do to actually damage Electro.

But then, without any hesitance, Electro rushed towards Spider-Man. Spider-Man whom just snapped back into reality attempted to punch Electro straight in the stomach, thinking he had an upper hand. But that would end up being the biggest mistake Spider-Man made.

Electro exerted violent volts of electricity which electrocuted Spider-Man even more. But this was even more painful than before, it was agonizing for Spider-Man, it was unbearable!

"AHRRRRGH!" This was a whole new type of pain in Spider-Man, he didn't know how much longer it would last and cried out in agony! Electro finally let up, using all the volts he stored up within him. Spider-Man flew back, he was unconscious and crashed through a wall, the impact making a huge hole into the building he crashed into.

Electro began to laugh, "HAHA! YES! Finally, with that the city is up for grabs!" He Glanced at Spider-Man just one last time, and with a wicked grin he scowled, "Spider-Man.... No more!" He took the CircoVison Bag and flew off leaving Spider-Man laying there.

Only a few minutes later Spider-Man finally gained back his consciousness, "Gnn!" Spider-Man moaned, he put his hand on the top of his head still feeling stinging pain, "What happened?...." Spider-Man felt weak, but he gained enough might to slowly get to his feet, "Wait... what time is it?" Spider-Man looked up onto a clock that was being displayed on a building. His eyes widened and he gasped, "SUNSET'S SHOW!" Spider-Man shot a webline and rushed back to the Performing art center.

Flash changed out of his costume, the stinging pain had gone away but he was still freaking out, he forgot about Sunset's big show, the one he promised he would see! He ran towards the gate, "Come on, Come on please!".

Bur unfortunately he was too late. Everyone was leaving the show, "No...NO!" Flash missed it, he'd made a promise to Sunset and he failed to deliver on it, "Maybe if I call her!..." Flash didn't really know what set of actions he could take so he just went with the obvious. He dialed the number and gulped nervously, he could only imagine what she was going to say.

The phone picked up but before Flash could say a word, Sunset did a very formal greeting to him, "YOU HAVE SOME NERVE CALLING ME FLASH SENTRY!" She sounded like she was sobbing but angry at the same time, this was more than understandable of course.

"Sunset wait if you just le--"

"NO!" She interjected, "THERE'S NOTHING YOU COULD EVER SAY THAT WOULD MAKE ME EVEN WAN'T TO TALK TO YOU! WERE DONE, OVER, BROKEN UP! I NEVER WAN'T TO SEE YOU AGAIN"

Flash's eyes widened, he'd dread those words, "Sunset wai--" She hung up. Flash was speechless to what'd just happen. He lost Sunset forever, she broke up with him after 5 whole months. Flash had messed up so bad and now, now he's gonna be remembered for the rest of his life as the guy who shunned Sunset on a date, "What've I done?"

Flash stood there, trying to collect his thoughts for a moment, but then he heard Police sirens squealing, it completely broke his focus on what'd just happen and instead made him focus on what was about to happen, "Maybe some web-slinging will help clear my mind along the way!"

Flash ran in another direction, somewhere where he couldn't be spotted. He ran behind a wall where no one was at, and only a few seconds later Spider-Man swung into action. He fired a webline and began to swing across the city again!

He found the police cars who were heading towards the bank, "Looks like there's been a robbery here!" Spider-Man attempted to fire another webline. But nothing shot out of his wrists. "What the he-AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Spider-Man couldn't shoot any webs and he was plummeting towards the ground.

'AHHHHHHHHHHHHH--" Spider-Man landed onto the top of a building, crashing hard but not feeling relatively hurt. Spider-Man got up and took his mask off, "What happened?" He looked at his hand and again attempted to shoot some webbing. Still nothing. He then tried with his left hand, it was no use.

"My Powers?! They're gone?" Spider-Man got to his feet and felt. He walked near the edge of the building and glanced down to the street, then he felt his gaze zoom back, looking as if the drop looked higher than it actually was. Flash took a few steps back, feeling a chill down his spine. "What's going on with me?" Flash pondered, feeling a bit confused and a bit scared for some reason.

Flash glanced behind him, there was a door to some stairs to help him get downstairs, luckily it wasn't super late so he went to the door and tried to open it. It was locked! "Shit!" Flash was starting to panic, he needed to see his mom in an hour and he was stuck on the top of a building. He ran to the other side of the building near the alleyway and luckily there were ladders leading to the ground.

Flash sighed in relief a little but he was still bewildered over what just happen!

Author's Note

Okay so this is chapter 2 of FSTSS Issue #2 Rebooted, in this chapter I kind of show Flash's school life, well not really it's kind of a brief thing and how he's doing with Sunset Shimmer, mainly just making implications.

But even before that I show Flash's daily dillemea of trying to put Spider-Man off for a day and continue to live on in his daily life but even so he still takes it due to how much the death of his father has really affected him.

Flash also has a friendship with Soarin, this was established in rebooted #1, in the original 2 books I think I just added Soarin into the cast of characters not really giving him any sort of back story or what not so it's really cool to have changed his character in this story.

So now it comes to the Spider-Man part of the chapter which by the way is like about 40% of the whole chapter. I kindo of couldn't think of anything that would be original so I went with another chase scene (come to think about it there's a lot of chase scenes in this story) anyways I added a little nod to the first story which was a bunch of CircoVison products.

Than comes Electro and Spider-Man finally meeting, again kind of like in the first one they meet very early in the story, almost in a comic book way, It's kind of really hard to figure out how I was supposed to introduce him, orignally in the orignial version he kind of appeared after Spider-Man attacked him, now I decided to take a really classic comic book approach and just have him approach Spider-Man, a bit cliche but in my defense, I'm in school right now and it is very hard to generate ideas, but that's off topic.

Oh yeah side note, this is probably the story I've worked on the least so far, even when I wrote the original two I just rarely worked on the second one trying to enjoy the rest of summer. When I wrote the third issue, I had the most fun because I was writing in a different setting and visualising was a lot easier, when I wrote the first one I was over my head and a bit trigger happy, when it comes to this I just don't really know!

Tell me what you think about this and the original in the comments, uh hey maybe leave a like I don't really know🤷
