//-------------------------------------------------------// The new Teacher -by armid- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// His way //-------------------------------------------------------// His way He turned back and looked at us. His stare was soulless and cold. “I’m Professor Skull Mustache,” he said as he walked towards the window, “and I am your new history teacher.” He opened the window and walked back to his desk. “Before starting anything let me explain my ‘teaching style.’” He picked up the history textbook and showed it to us. “This is what the parameters are for your final exam, but if you ask me if it does provide good lessons, I will say that it’s not clear and understandable. So ...” Then he just threw the book out of the window! “I will make sure to cover even beyond the book for you in a much, much clear state.” He sounded quite confident about his style, but him throwing out a book from the window, was just crazy. “Now,” he started again, “let’s discuss the way you need to behave in my class, shall we? Well, you can behave in any way you want, but then I have to behave the same way to you. For instance, You can sleep, talk, eat, or even start drawing but you better read that book that I just threw out of the window line by line cuz’ I will check your exam paper that way.” He looked serious, and also I noticed he uses his hands quite a lot. “Now, let’s keep the book out of here, what do you say?” We all nodded and then he continued. “Now what if you were listening, writing, and studying the way you should? Well, then your exam paper will be correct according to how close your answer was to what it wanted.” He sat back his desk and opened his bag. “Now, since I don’t know the level of your class, I will be taking an oral exam from you all next class.” We were all happy, since oral exams took too much time and he probably needed to ask fewer questions. But then all our hopes were driven to disappointment. “Actually, I will make it a written exam. Now!” That was just unfair, he totally played us! And Flaming Star stood up and said what we were all thinking: “That’s not fair, we’re not ready and you can’t just give us an exam on your first day!” Prof. Skull Mustache looked at him and said, “Well, I can and you can stand beside the door if you are willing to avoid the exam!” His tone was quite low, but he was speaking clear and loud enough for everyone to hear what he said. Flaming Star went and stood next to the door, and then Prof. Skull Mustache gave us the papers and said, “Anyone else wants to join him at the door? Well, that was expected.” After that he handed out the papers, he went and sat behind the desk, saying “You had better keep your eyes on your papers or else you’ll get to join my history book!” That was just so aggressive. And I have to say that the exam was so hard since I pretty much wasn’t paying attention in Ms. Dusty Fossils’s class, though I answered a couple of questions. After about a quarter of an hour he took the papers from us. And then he said something that crushed us again. “Ten points will be subtracted from your next session oral exam!” We all groaned and asked why and then what he said shocked us all: “Since you were all victims of cruelty, and you stayed silent. Lesson one, King Sombra forced his people to battle endless wars to vastly increase his territory, and in the battle of the Crystal Valley, his forces united with the enemy and dethroned him.” Then he looked at Flaming Star and asked “What was your name, young man?” “Flaming Star.” “A flame, indeed. You have achieved the full mark for the next session oral exam! You may now take a seat.” “Wait, what?” “I don’t like to repeat myself, so just do as I said” Author's Note Make sure to check out other chapters too. Trixie is on stage again and now I feel less curious about how Steely Armor manages to be everywhere he wants. And since Ms. Dusty Fossils quit her job, we thought that at least we won’t have history for a week but it seems Principal Celestia managed to find another teacher right away! Just this morning as I met up with the girls, a tall gray-skinned man walked into school. His hair was black, he had a catchy mustache, and he was wearing a long jacket. He walked right past us with a bag in his hands and went into the Principal’s Office. At first, we thought he was an inspector who came here to see all this weird stuff that’s been happening lately. His entrance caught the eye of every student. We knew there was something about him, but none of us guessed that he was our new teacher! Considering that exams were going to be next week, almost everybody was studying in the breaks, but Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie decided to go and try to listen to what was happening in the Principal’s Office. And what they told us, gave us enough of a clue to figure out the rest. “The guy that walked in this morning is being hired,” said Rainbow Dash. “For what exactly, darling?” Rarity asked. “Don’t we have enough teachers and stuff already?” Pinkie Pie asked. “Wait!” Twilight shouted, “don’t we need another History teacher since Ms. Dusty Fossils just quit?” And just when she said that I got myself ready to meet our new teacher. But to be honest I didn’t have a good feeling about this since he looked like … He was very black and white, hardly any color at all. But finally the time came for History class arrived and we were all sitting while the new teacher arrived. He just walked up to the board and wrote his name: “Prof. Skull Mustache.” Author's Note Make sure to check out other chapters too. I know I did bad but at least check what we spent our time for! “I recommend you all get ready for the next session exam since you’ve already lost quite some marks!” The bell rang, and we all went out while our new teacher stayed in the classroom. But I just couldn’t let him take ten marks from me for no good reason, so I decided to report what happened to Principal Celestia. I also took Twilight with me since I believed she could spice up things a little bit more. No offence, but you sure take grades and such too seriously. So we went to the Principal’s office and explained everything, from him throwing the book out of the window to him subtracting ten marks from the whole class. But what Principal Celestia showed us next was shocking. His resume was very impressive, every school he had worked in got a really high marks on final exams. He’s been known as one of the greatest teacher of the past years and he had Ph.D. degree of history. “I don’t know what he did today, but certainly his presence in our school will only bring positives results,” Principal Celestia said. “So what about our marks?” Twilight asked. “You’re going to let him take them just like that!” “Well, if you ask me, he taught you all a lesson that you won’t forget.” She was absolutely right, but still it’s just not fair. We thanked her and went out. We discussed the whole topic with the girls afterwards, and even they accepted that something is up with this guy. “Honestly, I don’t know if he was being tactless or just rude!” Rarity said. “He sure likes to play with yore feelings!” Applejack added. But what Rainbow Dash said, shocked us all. “It depends how you look at it.” We all were looking at her at that moment, “I don’t want to take his side, but if you’ve actually learned something, you would have said something like Flaming Star.” She was also right, but I’ve been wondering if you have the same opinion or not. Do you think what he did was right? Dear Sunset Shimmer, I have to say the way your new teacher handles the class is quite unique. He sounds like he’s both knowledgeable and charismatic; if he wasn’t, the class could have slid into chaos. I’m trying to not be biased just because he threw a book out of the window. Although it seems that his way is not right, according to what I read, he did teach you an unforgettable lesson. Author's Note Stay patient for other stories.
