Amnesia

"You are the most awesome pony ever.

You can do the sonic rainboom.

You are the fastest flier in Equestria.

The news comes as a shock to everypony."

She is doing tricks and showing off your skills. The ponies whoop and cheer for her. She jerks toward the right and suddenly, she's falling. Everypony gasps as she crash lands and goes unconscious. Somepony instantly calls the hospital and she slowly wakes up. She suddenly finds herself being escorted through a building. Her head is throbbing and she grows unconscious again.

"Rainbow Dash?" she hears somepony say.

Who's Rainbow Dash? she thinks. She slowly opens her eyes. She sees five mares in front of her, all with worried looks.

"Are you okay?" asks a purple alicorn.

"Who are you?" she asks, rubbing her head. The five ponies look at each other with worried looks. A doctor is standing in the corner of the room.

"What is your name?" the purple one asks again.

"I... my name?" she asks. The doctor in the corner sighs and walks over.

"What color is the sky?" he asks.

"Blue." she answers.

"What color is the rainbow?"

"Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple."

"What color is your coat?"

She looks down and answers.

"Sky blue."

"What is this pony's name?" The doctor points to an orange, yellow mane earth pony.

"I don't know." The doctor sighs and turns to the other five mares.

"I hate to break it to you guys, but I think she has amnesia." The five ponies gasp and she sits up.

Amnesia...

"Does that mean like a loss of memory or something?" she asks. The doctor nods.

"At least she can remember simple things." She gets off the bed and walks over to the purple alicorn.

"Are you a princess?" she asks, and the alicorn nods.

"Do you really not remember yourself?" the alicorn asks. She walks over and stares at a mirror. A stranger stares back.

"This is… what I look like?" she asks and turns towards the doctor.

"Yes." he says. She puts a hoof to the glass and continues staring.

"At least it isn't as bad. It could be worse. Imagine having to learn how to read, write, communicate, and walk again." She shudders at the thought of starting your life all over again.

"So what's going to happen?" the yellow pegasus squeaks. She is obviously scared for her life.

"Is she never going to remember us or what we did in the past?" the alicorn asks.

"It is uncertain. It is a fifty-fifty chance she will not remember." The yellow pegasus buries her face into a pink earth pony's shoulder.

"I want the Rainbow Dash we knew back." she hears her say. A white unicorn rests her head on the side of the bed. The purple alicorn sighs.

"We might have to introduce ourselves again." she says. "I'm Twilight Sparkle."

"Applejack." the orange earth pony says with a country accent.

"Pinkie Pie." says the pink one, trying to sound cheerful.

"Rarity." the white unicorn says.

"F-Fluttersh-shy." says the yellow pegasus. She seemed really upset. She walks over and stroke her soft, pink mane. Fluttershy looks up and she smiles.

"Please let her remember." she hears the pony that calls herself Twilight Sparkle says.

"Alright. I'm afraid visiting time is over. You can come back tomorrow." the doctor says and trots out of the room.

"Bye." the five ponies say and walk out the door. She looks down.

It feels so lonely here. I feel like... a hollow shell. A tear rolls down her cheek. A sudden memory comes to mind. She tries to grasp it, but it's suddenly gone.

"Who... was I?" she asks herself.
