Chapters Spike and Ember's Date Part 1
The older Mane6 were enjoying a nice picnic with their parents, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Big Mac and his family, Discord, and the Young6 in honor of Twilight's Royal Adviser and Dragon Ambassador to the ponies, Spike. Even Thorax, Starlight, Sunburst, and Trixie were there.
Then, Twilight came to realize a very important matter within her mind when she saw Spike smiling in a way that she never saw in all her mortal life. Then, she levitated a glass of pink lemonade and a spoon and tapped the glass four times to everyone's attention.
"Excuse me, everycreature, I have to tell you all something that's really bugging me," she started. All eyes were on her. "Spike is smiling in a way I never saw in my entire mortal life," she said which caused everyone to murmur in agreement. Spike continued to sip his tea.
"I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, Twilight," he said as he started slurping his lemonade very quickly. Twilight, however, knew that he was lying and used her magic to levitate it out of his paw and onto the red-lined blanket.
"Come to think of it, I never saw a dragon smile like that," Teenager Smolder said as she placed the the left side of her right index finger on her chin.
"What's gotten you in such a good mood, my BDFF?" Thorax asked. Everyone else stared at King Thorax with questioning glares. Thorax placed a dumbfounded look and started to place a happy smile. "Best Dragon Friend Forever," he answered for them.
"Ohhh," everycreature said.
"Well, let me tell you an extraordinary tale about my time in the Dragon Lands, my BCFF which stands for "Best Changeling Friend Forever." Gather round," he said as he waves everyone to come closer to him in a big circle. Twilight remained on Spike's right side, but inched her head forward to her little brother.

In the Dragon Lands...
Spike was walking around as he was now 18 years old, just like Ember. In fact, he was there to help Ember with the duties of being the Dragon Lord alongside Dragon Egg Hatching Season. Then, his train of thought was broken when he accidentally bumped behind someone and landed on the ground. Then, he placed his left paw on his head and realized that he bumped into a familiar red dragon with an orange sail, and with orange colored spikes, and alongside a tail with an arrow-shaped tail point.
"Hey, watch were you're- Spike?!" Garble wondered as he saw his friend on the ground and placed his left paw in front of the purple dragon. "What brings you here to the Dragon Lands?" He said as he pulled Spike up off the ground. The purple drake let's go of the friendly gesture that old time rival Garble learned to do ever since he saved the last Dragon Egg Hatching Season from his own friends' foolishness. "But first, Waaazzuuuup!"
Spike started to do the same thing.
Ever since they learned to get along, they hit it off, and became best buds. Even Best Dragon Friends Forever.
...
"Wait! Hold on! Best Dragon Friends Forever?! I just said like, 15 seconds ago that you were my BDFF," Thorax said in complete anger.
"And I still am. It's just that we call us that because, well, we're "dragons," Spike concluded.
"Oh! My bad! Please, continue," the changeling king insisted.
"Thank you," the purple drake replied back.
"Before you go on, Spike, I would like to add how you two started as enemies, then became brothers in arms?" Twilight asked.
"Well, it happened when me, Smolder, and surprisingly, Fluttershy visited during the time of that Dragon Egg Hatching Season during that time before your coronation, Twilight. And, well, I told Fluttershy to leave Garble and his friends out of her report," he finished.
But, Twilight gave him a glare.
"And why, may I ask, did you tell her to do that?" Twilight asked again, yet with a different tone.
"Because you wouldn't handle the fact Garble is actually Smolder's big brother," he said.
"What?!" Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Applejack Apple, Rarity Belle, and Rainbow Dash said in unison. Rarity continued the statement towards Smolder.
"Smolder, darling, why didn't you tell us that Garble was your brother?" Rarity asked.
"Weeeeell, I kinda read some of your books on all your nemesis when I was reading in the library just to past the time. When I saw that Gar-Gar was in there, I knew had to keep my relationship with him secret," Smolder said. Then, she heard some giggling from the five ponies. "What's so funny?" She asked.
"Well, you see, Smolder, we *chuckles* we never heard that he had a nickname so stupid," Twilight chuckled.
That statement, however, caused Smolder to snort black smoke from her deadly nostrils. "Oh, I see. So, you think the name that "I" gave to Garble is stupid, then fine. I'm just going to read a book in the school's library, to past the time!" Smolder said as she stood up from the very huge blanket that she and her friends made as students, and flew off like a rocket back to the School of Friendship.
"Smolder, wait! I didn't mean to," she started as she picked herself off the ground and raised her right hoof to stop Smolder. But, it was too late as the orange dragon flew in high speeds back to the school. "-hurt your feelings," she said as she placed hoof back down and lowered her head. "Spike, I need you to keep our guests entertained as I try to see if I can calm her down and say sorry to her."
Ocellus flew in front of her.
"Actually, your majesty, I think I should be able to calm Smolder down and deliver your apologetic message," she said and then flew off like a rocket as well.
"So, sugarcube, are you going to continue your story?" Applejack asked.
"Right until Smolder comes back. This affects her, too," Spike said.
"How so, Spikey Wikey?" Rarity asked.
"You'll see soon enough," Spike said.
End of Part 1.
Spike and Ember's Date Part 2
Ocellus entered the school's library and saw Smolder reading a blue book on a red bean bag. "Hey Smolder, I came to tell you that Twilight's sorry for what she said to you," she explained to Smolder.
Smolder closed her book and puts it back on a shelf behind her with her right paw. "Well, I guess I accept her apology. So, how much did I miss?"
"I don't know. Maybe he stopped until you came back?" Ocellus guessed. Then, she led the orange dragoness outside the library and flew over to the others. "Did we miss anything?"
"Nah. Spike just waited until you two came back," Gallus answered the the light blue changeling's question.
"Huh, looks like you were right, huh Ocellus?" Smolder said as she playfully yet gently jabbed the changeling's right shoulder with her left elbow. "Oh! And I accept your apology even though Ocellus said it for you, Princess," Smolder said to Twilight, which caused her to smile in reply.
Then, Twilight looked to her left over at Spike. "You can continue now, Spike," she said. Then, she went back over to her little brother while Ocellus and Smolder went to sit back down with the Young6.
"Okay, now where was I?"

Garble and Spike were walking through lava pools and saw the same one where Garble's friends almost caused the eggs to not hatch. So much to do in the year of 2018. Like, being enslaved by King Sombra's darkness, winning the title of "Sibling Supreme," helping Twilight find her favorite librarian, find the problem of how the eggs were cold and befriended Garble, all that.
"Hey, isn't that the same place where your friends used the stored lava for their silly fun antics that nearly caused the eggs to never hatch?" Spike asked.
"And could have held dead dragons within those eggs? Yep," Garble replied to the purple drake.
"Well, wait.. what do do you mean by that, Garble?" Spike asked.
"Well, you see, Spike, when a dragon egg doesn't hatch, the adults have to get rid of it by smashing it," he explained.
"What! Why?!" Spike asked him again but with more confusion.
"Because if a dragon egg doesn't hatch without fiery attributes, such as lava, the natural source of warming to help hatch dragon eggs, then they won't be alive. No lava, no dragon egg hatching. No dragon egg hatching, no egg. No egg-," he said longer as to hope that Spike was catching on with what he was saying.
"No baby dragon," Spike said.
"What?! No dragon! But, that shouldn't be right, right?" Fluttershy asked.
"I know, right? I also told him that I was the first ever dragon to be hatched by a pony," Spike said to Fluttershy and everybody else. "But this is what I get for a reply."
....
"Then Twilight must be extremely lucky that she managed to hatch your egg without the required necessities. If Rainbow hadn't surprised Twilight with that Sonic Rainboom, then you would never have breathed your first breath," he said.
...
"I can't believe it. They told me to use magic to hatch you yet Garble CLEARLY explained to you that lava can help a baby dragon hatch. Ugh! I can't believe that in order to hatch a fire breathing dragon, I needed to use a key element, which was LAVA, to hatch a baby dragon. I also can't believe that I stressed myself so many times trying to hatch you, that I didn't think to use lava to help. But then again I am SO lucky that you made your first ever Sonic Rainboom, Dashie," Twilight said to her rainbow maned friend.
"No problem," she replied back.
"I wouldn't even want to imagine a world without you, Spikey Wikey," Rarity described the phrase to the purple drake. "I mean, think of all good you've done."
"Like saving us from those three Timberwolves that we may have accidentally lured with our fake "Timberwolf Attack Plan," Applejack said.
"Yes. In fact, that never would have happened if you just said you were satisfied with the work I was doing to help around the farm, even though I was terrible at doing something that I wasn't used to doing, then lured the same timberwolves to really attack Ponyville, all while trying to break my noble Dragon Code," he said until heard and saw Smolder spitting pink lemonade out of her mouth.
"Wait, the six of you tried to break his Dragon Code?" Smolder pointed at the ponies in front of her with her right index finger. "Do you even know HOW important it is to, oh, I don't know, A DRAGON?!" Smolder shouted as she placed her arms down at her hips as her paws were clenched into a fist.
"I tried telling that to Applejack, but she wouldn't listen. A Dragon Code is very important to a dragon and it seemed at that time before I became an alicorn that I was the only one who knew how important it was to a dragon. *Places her left hoof on Spike's left shoulder* I didn't want to break his code or his heart. But, I was easily tricked into helping Applejack with her plan," Twilight said.
"If you didn't want to, you could have just stayed in the library doing that important reading session of yours when the library was still there," Applejack pointed out.
"That reading session caused me to not realize that Spike was being attacked by timberwolves. Luckily, they didn't manage to lend a single claw on Spike when you got there, Applejack," she argued.
"I guess this would be a bad time to tell you that I'm getting married in 5 days," Spike said aloud and went back to sipping his pink lemonade.
Twilight and everyone else pulled their heads back when they just heard the purple drake said and circled around him.
"YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED???!!!" The ponies, changelings, yak, dragon, griffon, hippogriff, and draconequus yelled in happiness for their friend.
Twilight placed the left side of her face on Spike's right cheek as she brought him in for a playful yet gentle bear hug. "Oh, my little brother's turning into a gentledrake! But who are you going to marry?" Twilight asked she started poking her hooves together twice.
"You may already know her, Twilight. In fact, you all do. Even you Thorax," he said.
"Well then, who is this creature?" Thorax asked.
"Well, she's a dragoness, for starters. And her name is..."
Spike and Ember's Date Part 3
"EMBER?!" All the creatures yelled in unison once again.
"And here's how it went..."
....
When I got to the cave where the throne was, I saw Ember and Torch chatting together. But it seems that it wasn't a good chat because I saw Ember looking down to her left when Torch was talking to her. Then, I started to speak.
"Hey Ember! Hey Torch! How's it going?" I said to enlighten the mood between the two.
"Spike?" Ember called out hesitantly.
"Well, well, well-," Torch started slowly. "If it isn't the true Dragon Lord," Torch finished with venom in his words.
He knows?!
I look at Ember as she mouthed her words. "I'm so very sorry," she mouthed her words.
I realized that she was forced by her own father to tell him what happened during the Gauntlet of Fire.
...
Twilight and Rarity had their mouths opened very widely after what they heard Spike just said.
"Wait a minute, Spike was supposed to be the Dragon Lord?! All this time, I was forced to come here by a false lord!" Smolder snarled as she stood up when hearing what Spike just said.
"I can't believe that OUR Spike became the Dragon Lord," Rainbow said.
"But, why didn't you keep the title or the Bloodstone Scepter, Spike? Let alone, have told us?" Fluttershy asked.
"You could've had use your title to command the dragons to try to make friends with other creatures, Spike," Big Macintosh added.
"I know that. But it's because I didn't want to leave my friends, who were also the only family that I have, to a title or role of ruling all of dragonkind."
"When me and Rarity went back to the Dragon Lands with Spike, we overheard Garble talking to, uh, who were they, Spike? The brown one with the dinosaur like back? And the one with bunny ears?" Twilight asked.
"Barry and Prominence, who is also known as Belcher," Spike answered for her.
"Thanks. When Spike, Rarity and I overheard the three of them talking, Belcher's rule of being the newest Dragon Lord was to make burping an official greeting," Twilight explained.
"Which of course I said "I hope that burping one wins," Rarity mentioned.
"But, after hearing Barry's rule of stealing all the pillows of Equestria, we heard that if Garble was in charge, he would've invaded Equestria as to get revenge, by his words only, "on those puny ponies and that they'll regret ever crossing Garble," hence the third person speech. And then he said they would take what they want and burn the rest," Spike explained.
After Spike's explanation, all the creatures started to agree with Spike's statement.
"I can't believe my own brother said that. To me, he's always been like a marshmallow when I'm around. But, I guess hanging with his friends made him act like a tyrant. But, I know that sometimes he doesn't think, but he really has a heart under those scales of his.
"There was something else to," Twilight started.
"What do you mean, Twilight?" Her mother asked.
"You see if we left, then Equestria would be doomed. But, I started to form tears in my eyes after I heard what Spike said," Twilight finished.
"What did he say, Sweetie?" Her father asked.
"I told her and Rarity that in order to protect Equestria, I had to enter the Gauntlet of Fire and hope to win and become Dragon Lord to protect the ponies," Spike answered.
"Well, I don't see anything wrong with that Spike," Applejack said. But then she took notice of Twilight, along with every other creature looking at the purple princess, with a tear trailing down from her right eye. Fluttershy started to talk about it.
"What's wrong, Twilight?" She asked.
"Well, you see here, Fluttershy, we discovered that if our dear Spikey-Wikey were to WIN the Gauntlet, he would have to remain in the Dragon Lands for like, till the day he takes his final breath," Rarity explained.
The creatures started to gasp.
"Not only did it hurt me, but... it hurt Twilight the most," she said.
All the creatures started to look at Twilight once again and see that her mouth was quivering as tears started flowing from her eyes like waterfalls. Discord, however, poofed up a purple box from out of nowhere, right in front of Twilight. For he too knew that the bond between her and Spike were sacred and unmeasurable. Heck, he regrets the time that he released King Sombra from the Aether. Good thing they didn't tell the Young6 about that, or the Mane6 would never gain the trust of the Friendship Students ever again. Twilight accepted the gesture and used her magic to pull two pieces of tissue. One for her eyes, and the other for her nose. Soon, she was feeling much better.
"Okay, you can continue," Twilight said as she gestured her left hoof towards Spike.
"Thanks. Now, back to the story which ended up with me and the face of the former Dragon Lord..."

Torch was about to say that he was going to reinstate the Gauntlet of Fire; where a new dragon could be the new Dragon Lord, rather than a lying dragon that he thought of me as, but I stopped him and told him my side of the story. After he listened to my perspective, he respected the fact that the ponies have always been more of a family to me and that I didn't want to leave them. But then, Torch had an idea. If I would take Ember out on a date, then he would not reinstate the Gauntlet. But before I could take Ember out on a date he told me to stand in front of all dragonkind and tell them about who EXACTLY won the Gauntlet of Fire. I didn't want to, but I had to. After all, HE'S A GIANT DRAGON THAT COULD EASILY SQUISH ME WITH HIS PINKIE CLAW! So, in order to prevent another Gauntlet of Fire, I told the dragons both kid, teenager, adult, and elder, that I was the one who won the Gauntlet of Fire. They all started gasping. Except for Garble, who totally knew about it for he was there. Except for the part where he left right before I gave the Bloodstone Scepter to Ember. Then, I started to tell them about how I was born in the hooves of ponies and how they treat me and I treated them like my family. Despite the fact that they can be quite rebellious sometimes, the dragons nodded in respect and went back to do what a dragon normally does.

The creatures started clapping.
"Oh, it's not over yet," Spike said.

Spike and Ember's Date Part 8: Piscivores and Omnivores
"Fish and apples?!" Everycreature said all except Smolder.
"Yeah... I think it's best that I now tell you all that we dragons are actually piscivores and omnivores," she said as she sits crisscross applesauce, on the giant white and red striped towel that Discord poofed up.
"Piece - what?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"Piscivore. It means "fish-eater." But, it didn't say anything in the many books I read about dragons eating fish. Or fruit for that matter. If dragons are piscivores, and it wasn't recorded into any book, then why hasn't any dragon ever told us about their diet?" Twilight said as she placed her left hoof on her chin.
"It's probably because us dragons don't want the ponies to know about what goes on in our lives. Actually, that's exactly why you don't see it in your books," she says as she points to Twilight.
"But you have fangs? I can imagine Spike eating fruit and vegetables because he was raised by Twilight. But the others like Garble, Fume, or Clump, or even Princess Ember? I don't think I will ever see that happen through my eyes," Rarity said.
"We dragons keep our secret lives a secret because we don't want one bad pony to call upon an army to take our entire race out. Like, say, King Sombra, or Cozy Glow. Not to mention, other kinds of creatures that won't accept friendship or live alongside us. Like the former changeling queen, Chrysalis, and a centaur that has the power to steal the strength from Earth ponies, the pegasai's flight, and the magic from both unicorns, alicorns, and even Discord himself," she pointed out.
"Luckily, Celestia, Luna and I have imprisoned Tirek along with Chrysalis and Cozy Glow into stone," Discord accommodated.
"How did King Sombra escape his banishment from within the Aether and Lord Tirek and Cozy Glow escape from Tartarus? Not to mention how did Chrysalis ended up with those three?" Sandbar asked as he placed his right hoof under his chin.
"We may never know," Discord lied as he quickly poofed up a purple cup of tea and started sipping from his cup to hide the fact that he was one who freed Tirek, Cozy Glow, and King Sombra from their prisons while freeing Chrysalis from banishment by bringing her from the Everfree Forest.
Spike and Ember's Date Part 9
(Spike's P.O.V.)

(Expect some classic ballroom music)
Then, I walked up to Spike and placed my arms around his neck as he places his paws on my back. Then, we danced normally through the night.
Outside of Ember's bedroom...
"Eh, kids these days," Torch said as he went back to sleep as he placed his tail on top of his head to block out the noise.
...
Twilight and the rest of the creatures started clapping for Spike's romance story. Then, a shadow flew over them. But, as soon as they looked up at the giant shape in the sky, they see it glide down, revealing itself to be none other than Ember. She landed behind Spike with her superman based entry. Spike got up and walked over to her.
Ember stood up from her pose.
"Hey honey," Ember said to Spike.
"Hey Sweetie," Spike said to Ember.
Next thing everyone knew, Spike and Ember locked themselves in a long passionate kiss.
"Let's give these two some space," Twilight said as she and everyone else went inside the School of Friendship.
Later on, at night...
Spike and Ember were still kissing. Then, they broke apart a little. Yet their eyes were still closed.
"Are they gone?" Ember asked.
Spike opened his eyes to see that everyone must've went home. "Yep. Their gone alright," he answered.
Ember opened her eyes. "Good. Now... you didn't tell them about what else I worn that night, right?"
"Nope."
"Good. Then let's hurry up to the cave I found for just the two of us. I have a surprise for you," she says with a singsong voice.
"Word up," Spike says as he and Ember started flapping their wings and flew off into the night sky.

Spike and Ember's Date Part 4
"Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" (Lion King 1)
Me and Ember were walking side by side through the Dragon Lands' Lava Pits for Ember's own lava pond for both her and I. We made it to her royal lava lake just behind the mountain where the Dragon Lord makes his or her royal speeches and everything. It was a big lake, the size of a buckball stadium. When we got to the edge of the pool, Ember placed her left paw on my back and forcefully pushed me into the pool. As I came back up to the surface, I see her snickering which soon became hysterical giggling when she saw the look on my face. But, she's not the only one known to make jokes. So, I took a deep breath and pulled my head into the lava.
(Ember's P.O.V.)

The blue dragoness and the purple drake were running through a grass plain with monarch butterflies with Ember in the lead. Despite the fact that he had questions as to why there was grass in the Dragon Lands, he shrugged it off. Then, he continued to run on all fours as he was in a friendly playful chase.

Spike and Ember's Date Part 7 Spike's Perspective
Me and Ember stopped bowing to each other. Then, I held my left arm out for Ember to hold on, which she did with both her paws. Her right holding onto my muscle while she placed her left paw into my elbow. Then, we started walking over to a gold wooden square table with a red tablecloth with the Bloodstone Scepter. "Wow, Ember. Did you make all of this?" I asked which she answered as she pointed her beautiful eyes at me and nodded her head once.
"Yes. Yes I did. Is it too much?" She asked me as we continued walking over to the table with her head pointing at me.
"Why not at all, my dear Ember. I'm just impressed, AND surprised to know that dragons have great taste in furniture," I accommodated on her style.
"Why thank you, my dear Spike," Ember said to me with that "lady-like" tone.
As soon as we were close to the table, I let go of Ember's paw and rushed to the right side of the table and pulled out a gold wooden chair with red cushions. "Here you go, milady," I said with my impressive "gentledrake" tone.
Ember placed her left fingers on her heart. "Why thank you once again, my dear Spike," she said as she walked more closer to the chair I pulled out for her. Then, she circles to her left while I place her chair more closer to her. Next, the blue dragoness sat down in her chair and placed her left paw in her lap with her right paw on her left one. Then, I walked on her right side and the right side of her table and sat down in my chair. Finally, I looked into Ember's eyes as she looked into mine. Then, I remembered seeing the golden plates, utensils, and dome-shaped carrier plate on the table. I was wondering about it earlier as to why it was on the table.
"Sooo... what's on the menu? Is it turquoise? Because that's my favorite type of gem to eat before fire rubies. But seriously, is it turquoise?" I asked her as I pushed my chest closer to the table.
Ember started to smile. "Wow! Mine too!" She said as she placed her right finger claw at the center of her corset's heart design. Then, she couples her paw into a fist and placed it over her lips. "Ahem!" Ember clears her throat and placed her paw upside down while in midair. "But we aren't having turquoise gems," she said as she then placed her right paw back in her lap at the end of her sentence.
"Fire rubies?" I asked as I raise my right eyebrow. Ember started to giggle a little bit with her right finger claw on her chin.
"Were not having any type of gem for dinner," she answered as she pulls her fingers away from her chin and onto the table.
"Oh! So then... what are we having?" I asked as I raised left paw up and down.
Ember smiled graciously.
"Lesson 1: dragons don't just eat gems," she explains as she raises her index finger into the air and closes her eyes while doing it.
"They don't? I mean, "WE" don't?" I ask with my raised left eyebrow.
Ember places her right paw onto the handle of the golden dome lid. "We also eat... *pulls the lid off* ...fish and apples."
