Many years after the Last Day, the door to Stable 83 rumbled open. Inside were the same ponies who'd sought shelter there seven decades before, newly awakened from a deep sleep.

Two dwellers, the unicorn Crescent Dusk and the Crystal pony Wildflower, both damaged like their brethren by their rude awakening, journey into the frozen plains of the Crystal Wastes.
