Dineer, at peace
Previous ChapterEven though there is a lot of weird stuff happening, home is where I find peace. We had fish for dinner and it was delicious; it was Grandma Butter’s fish, after all. And guess what, we were all together, well almost all. Uncle Fancy Cash couldn’t make it out to be with us. But it was still fine. A happy family, like we always used to be.
After dinner, Dad decided to play a little piano, and I wouldn’t miss my chance for a music duel! So I went and picked up my violin and answered the beat that he was making with another of my own. He looked back.
“This means war, son!”
“Nah, this means the victory horn!”
He started playing, gave the beat speed and more base. I gave mine more ups and downs and speed so I could compete with him. Everyone was watching, Grandma Rose, Grandma Butters, Grandpa Light and all the servants. We were exchanging beating one after another, getting faster, faster and SUPER MEGA FAST, until Dad’s finger slipped and granted me another victory.
“C’mon, I was just warming up!”
“I went easy on you.”
“Yeah, whatever!” He clearly couldn’t keep up! “Anyway, I’m going to bed. Good night!”
“Good night, Flame!”
“sweet dreams, dear!” said Grandma Butters.
“Sleep soft!” Grandpa Light said as he was rolling his wheelchair.
“Good night Flaming Star.” Said Grandma Rose.
And that’s what I call a great dinner.
