Fire academy swimming area 2:45pm

Twilight was dressing in her blue coloured firefighter swim suit with her friends in the fillies changing room.

While she was dressing, Pinkie Pie rushed over to her.

"Hello, Twilight!" She said.

Twilight jumped from the sudden appearance.

"Whoa! Holy sweet Celestia Pinkie you scared me." She said gasping for breath.

"Sorry." Said Pinkie lowering her head.

Twilight giggled and looked at her.

"It's alright, what do you want talk to me about?"

"When we finished fighting the fire in Fillydelphia, did I hear a colt saying something about you and Thorax being special someponies?" She asked with sparkling eyes.

Twilight then blushed when she heard her say that. She didn't know that Pinkie also heard the colt calling her and Thorax special someponies.

"Wha-? Uh, uh. No, he didn't, look he's just a young foal like us okay?" Said Twilight.

"Oh really? Then why did we see you talking to Thorax after the fire?" Rainbow Dash asked smirking along with her friends.

Twilight was blushing furiously now, she didn't know that her friends knew about the situation that happened in Fillydelphia. But before she could reply to them, the stallion instructor called them from outside.

"Hurry up you six! Thorax is already out there waiting!" The instructor yelled.

"Yes, sir!" Said the fillies as they quickly wore their swim suits.

Then after 10 seconds they came out and the fillies stood next to each other. Twilight looked to her left and saw Thorax wearing a dark coloured swim suit with yellow strips. She also managed to see some muscles on him, which made her blush and keep looking at it.

"Twilight Sparkle! Look forward!" The instructor yelled.

Twilight flinched and shook her head and looked back in front of her.

"S-sorry, sir!" She said as she stood up straight.

The instructor looked at the seven foals and began to talk about their training for today.

"Today, your gonna learn how to rescue ponies while in water. A dummy will be placed in the water to pretend that it is a pony in need of rescue. All of you will use waterline rescue ropes and a small bed to rescue the pony, understand?" The instructor asked.

"Yes sir!" Said the foals.

"Good! Now I'm gonna split all of you into groups of two and three." Said the instructor as he began splitting them into groups.

"Rarity and Rainbow Dash! You two will work together!"

"Yes, sir!" They said.

"Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Applejack! You three will work together!"

"Yes, sir!"

"Thorax, Twilight Sparkle! You two will be working together!"

Twilight's eyes widened when the instructor said that she and Thorax will be working together. And a small blush happened on her face.

"I get to work with Thorax? This will be great." Twilight thought happily in her mind.

"Alright, Rarity and Rainbow Dash, you two start first!" Said the instructor.

"Yes, sir!" Said the two of them as they walked to the equipments and began their training.

After one minute, they have finished.

"Excellent work you two." Said the instructor.

"Thank you, sir!" Said the two of them as they saluted. Then they returned to position.

Then the instructor turned around.

"Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack. You three are up!"

"Yes, sir!"

Then after 1 minute and 4 seconds, they have finished.

"Well done you three!"

"Thank you, sir!" They saluted and returned to position.

Then the instructor turned around again and looked at Thorax and Twilight.

"Alright, Thorax and Twilight. You two are last!"

"Yes, sir!" Said the two of them. Then they went to the equipments.

"You know how to swim?" Twilight asked Thorax quietly.

Thorax looked at her and nodded.

"Yes, I can. Why ask?" He asked her quietly.

"Cause, I only know a little bit about how to swim." She told him embarrassingly.

Thorax chuckled quietly when he heard her say that.

"It's alright, I can do the rescuing, and you can do the rope part. Maybe you can learn how to swim after more training." Thorax told her quietly.

Twilight shrugged and grabbed the ropes.

Then she wrapped the rope around his chest, and Thorax jumped into the water with the wooden bed. Then he swam towards the dummy.

Once he got to the dummy. He placed it on the wooden bed and clicked the buckles on him so that it doesn't slips off. Then he turned around and looked at Twilight.

"Alright Twilight, pull me in." Thorax called her.

"Alright!" Said Twilight as she pulled the rope and pulled him in.

"Easy, easy." Said Thorax.

Then after 4 more pulls, Twilight has pulled Thorax at the end of the pool, and he pulled the dummy back up. He then stood up in front of the instructor with Twilight.

"You two did a great work." Said the instructor.

Twilight was happy when she heard the instructor saying that she and Thorax did a great job.

"Oh my Celestia! I have improved!" Twilight thought happily in her mind.

Then they said "Thank you sir!"

Then they returned to position.

"Alright, this should wrap it up for today. Now go and grab some lunch." Said the instructor.

"Thank you sir!" They saluted and Thorax went to the colts changing room, and the fillies went to the fillies changing room to unchange.

After that, they walked out of the changing room and exited the pool and headed to the canteen.

Twilight walked up to Thorax, and he looked at her as well.

"Thank you for helping me improve Thorax." Twilight said with a smile.

Thorax smiled back and said "Your welcome."
