The carnage of Halloween was at last over, and the town of Manteo had begun to rebuild from the chaos that had been inflicted upon it that frightful night. The homes had started to be rebuilt, but many citizens who had had their homes blown to smithereens by Midnight Sparkle had not had their homes rebuilt, and as a result were living in air conditioned shipping containers until repair work was done. Some buildings, however, were beyond repair and could not be saved. As such, the city had made the decision to pull them down and place new buildings in their place, which had led to plenty of work for construction companies all across the city as they were either blowing old shells up with dynamite or pulling them down with cranes, and as a result the noise of blaring sirens was a common sound across the city.
One individual who needed a new home was Jimmy Hook, as his home had been blown to bits by Midnight Sparkle. To which end, he had been moved into a new home which was a bit larger and had more space for things to happen. Jimmy finished setting up his stuff in his new bedroom, and set the bed down and cleaned up the boxes. Some more work needed to be done for them to be ready to move into his new home for good, and he felt something of a tinge of guilt for blowing the town to bits. Of course, nobody made the connection between that creature, the daemonette, and Jimmy, but still, the guilt was there, and it would probably remain for a while.
As he headed towards his new front door, a flyer suddenly flew through his new door and landed on his new carpet. So he picked up his new flyer up, and gave it a read.

Jimmy nodded at this idea. "Well, a stroll into town to support local industries could never hurt. Off I go!" and he opened the door, stepped through it, closed it again, locked it, checked the lock, and then headed off towards the center of Manteo.
The market was, as you would expect on a day like today, absolutely bustling with people. Combining elements of a flea market and a market for other insects, the usual tat sellers were along the road, with the painting sellers near them, and selling their paintings of boats, planes, trains, rails, steam, speed, and more ships, and then chips (or fries, if you prefer. Depends on what meal you are eating). Then we come onto the food market. There were a lot of people selling all sorts of things. The fishermen were out in force and their friends were there too, and were selling all sorts of fish. The fish was breaded and it was not breaded. It was iced and it was fresh. There was salmon, and haddock, and cod, and so many other types of fish you could take several hours to name it all, and that would be an appalling waste of text and time in this story, so let us move on to the important stuff.
There was fruit on sale as well. Cherries, plums, apples, pears, (other branches of the Apple family may or may not be represented), oranges, even tomatoes (yes, they are a fruit, not a vegetable). Near them were some vegetables, and they consisted of potatoes, carrots, and many other varieties, of no interest to the readers at all, I'll wager.
Jimmy arrived at the market after a few minutes walk to find the stalls all positioned in front of the town hall and on the waterfront, forming a very idyllic, almost Emersonesque scene. He smiled as he stood before the stalls. "Thus before the sporange, I must find an orange," he said, referencing an event that had happened a little while back. He walked up to the stand, and picked up an orange to look at it.
"That'll be 50 cents an orange," said the vendor.
"I'll have three," Jimmy said, and was about to put it on the weighing scales when suddenly the orange glowed, and flashed brightly. It changed into a golden object that had green gems inset into it, before that two vanished into nothingness. Jimmy looked about. "What the? Where did it go?"
The vendor pointed. "Your neck, sir!"
Jimmy glanced down and saw that it was around his neck. "Oh, god damn it." The classic electric blue surge that was always prevalent with him in his transformations occurred again, which in this case, the surge was pulsing from the necklace.
Jimmy made as much headway as he could, leaving the oranges behind as his hair began to turn from brown to a light amber and piled itself up on his head in a manner reminiscent of a posh haircut from the 1940s. His ears shrank back into his head and exploded out of the top of his skull, with all the appropriate holes moving about to ensure continued reception of sound. His eyes turned from blue to a light brilliant cerulean, and a spot appeared just below his eye. Moments later, the bones in his face began to shift as his eyes grew bigger and bigger, as his mouth and nose grew out of his face, followed by them merging together and his teeth flattening into those of an equine. His neck began to elongate like a giraffe, and necklace stretched to accommodate. His glasses, long since broken apart by the force of the changes to his face, fell to the floor.
His entire body shrank down in size, leaving his clothes in a pile on the floor, as his arms and shoulders were sucked inwards, not long after that shortening and the elbows shifting. His hands shrank into hooves. His chest expanded in size like a barrel, that damned necklace still attached around his neck. His manhood got pulled into his body, and her legs got pulled under her body as well. They too snapped backwards relative to their original configuration, and her feet morphed into hooves. The strain of her standing as a bipedal was too much for her so she fell onto all fours with such agony. Luckily her necklace was able to stay on her with that sudden shift of balance.
To complete things, a tail the same color as her mane grew from above her butt, followed by an image of oranges appearing on her flanks. Lastly, and to make sure she didn't look like some weird creature with fleshy type thing, a coat of pale, light grayish olive fur sprouted all over every part of her entire changed body. With that, her transformation was now done.
Aunt Orange had no clue where she was, nor what these strange creatures were who were staring at her. She walked forward, and suddenly fell into a portal and arrived in her home in Manehattan.
"Hey mom!" a voice called, and who should step forward by her daughter, Babs Seed.
"Heya Babs," Aunt Orange replied. "Have a fun day at school?"
"Sure did!" Babs replied. "I no longer get grief from those bullies 'cause I have a cutie mark now."
"I'm happy thin's are finally goin' good for you," Aunt Orange smiled. "Fancy somethin' to eat? Or would you rather work on homework?"

Anyways, as indicated by the carnage in Manteo leftover from the Midnight Sparkle TG TF from Halloween at the beginning of this story, that's going to be prevalent for a few stories till Manteo is completely repaired and back to normal.
