She turned around, quickly trying to close the doors with her magic. While the doors slammed shut, Twilight stood up from the bean bag quickly. She had to bolt the doors.
She stopped. She saw Rarity and Starlight standing behind where the open doors had been.
“Twilight, darling…” said Rarity in a low voice. “This is for your own good.”

Twilight narrowed her eyes up at Trixie, saying nothing. She couldn’t look back at any of her friends, but she could feel the grip of the magic and their hands getting a little more loose.
Trixie reached up to Twilight’s head, flicking the Element of Magic with a fingertip. “And just like you to go around, flaunting your talents. What was your plan, exactly? Hope to be all ‘I’m the princess, you’ll obey me’ or something like that?”

“Actually, I’m not sure if I am, Trixie.” Twilight tapped the purple gem on her crown, the one shaped like her cutie mark. “But do you really think the Element of Magic, the most powerful magic in all of Equestria, could be controlled by a little thing like that?”
It was Twilight’s turn to wear a massive grin on her face. Her hands rested on her hips. Trixie had only seen an expression that smug before when she looked in a mirror.
Meanwhile, Trixie’s fear was replaced by blind rage. She screamed again. A throat-tearing roar, like the cry of a wild animal before pouncing on the kill. She writhed and clawed at Applejack’s leg. Even with Applejack’s well-earned strength, she was finding it hard to keep Trixie down.
