But, also their magic when it is discharged. And any kind of evil that threatens him or the land is devoured just as quickly.

However, All that magic and evil has to go somewhere. And if he eats too much of it, it could cause him to discharge it all with the equivalent power of a grenade to a dirty bomb depending on how much had been consumed.
