//-------------------------------------------------------// Feast -by Rue Lucia- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// More Must Be Given //-------------------------------------------------------// More Must Be Given Week One. “Share what you have, share what you eat.” The final warning of a distressed child before she entered into a catatonic state, slipping out silently from the palace recovery wing on a bleak winter's night. Vanishing into the shadows of the unknown, claimed by the Windigo. Platinum gazed across her massive dining table with translucent blue eyes. Watching the sickened masses devour her dwindling resources. Teeth gnawed on fresh bread, blistered lips choked on chalices of clean spring water, and sore riddled hooves clamored over her garden fresh salads. Each peasant was more revolting than the last. Ponies with only several patches of coat left or children of bony structures shivering upon her table uncontrollably. Hollow eyes sunken into ashen skulls, this grotesque sight of miserable souls. Choke. Chew. Gurgle. Drool. Like cancer, they poisoned everything they touched. Filth incarnate. A feminine hoof reached down to a plate of berries. Plucking the nutrient fruit from its healthy vine, watching it soon rot away before her very eyes. Molded green ooze trailing down her cream-colored hooves mockingly, more must be given. Week Two. Cakes would line the table of the palace dining room. Each more exquisite than the last, decorated in vibrant colors that her uneducated guests would have never dreamed of. Cupcakes sprinkled in hypnotic rainbow candies, pies bursting at the seams with succulent fruit fillings. The peasants once more turning towards a gluttonous act of depravity. Their rotted yellow teeth ripping apart the once hidden confections of her private pantry. Her withered violet mane falling over her eyes in disgust with her guests. Swollen were their bellies but yet they continued to gorge themselves at her expense. Wine would flow like water across the clinging chalices, laughter full of mockery grating her ears much like a stab to the flank. Choke. Chew. Gurgle. Drool. Her blistered hoof slammed upon a miniature pie before her. Her stomach was tight as a board and twice as narrow. Biting into her savory treat, only maggots and defecation would her taste buds meet. More needed to be given. Week Three. Soups warm and decadent of every variety would be shared across the dining room table. Her cancer has now spread to the neighboring villages as well, the gluttonous hoards of filth allowing complete strangers to indulge in her private rations. Faces unknown slurping her tomato soups with vile smacks of their lips. Children of non-unicorn heritage gobbling her mushroom delicacies as if they earned it. Horrible little yaks choking down her freshly baked loaves of bread. Together this cancer was claimed everything she held dear in her life, leaving her only with despair and strife. Her swollen tongue traced the upper ridge of her gums miserably. Many of her teeth had rotted away in utter decay. Glancing upon a warm bowl of vegetable soup at her side, eyes rolled about the pus ridden surface forever watching her in a judgemental gaze. Choke. Chew. Gurgle. Drool. How much more must be given!? The unicorn lifted her attention to the icy abyss of her palace windows. The hellish void of darkness swirled in a ballet of snow and ice. The howl of the wind screamed for further sacrifice, her guests oblivious of the horrors outside! Hooves of ice pressed against the glass. Eyes of white glowed through the valley of death, they feared no evil as they feasted upon the sins and hatred of all ponies. Those misty manes flowed into the heavens above, this was their banquet of sin. She was their Main Course of rotted flesh garnished with a broken soul. They would wait until the moment was right. Only entering to indulge upon her weakened frame when she was completely helpless. If that time arrived she would surely suffer, the beasts were not known for mercy. Her fate drew near. She needed to repent for her wicked ways. To give everything. To those with nothing. Platinum tilted her head towards her guests in complete awe. The spirit wasn't in her actions, more must be given. If it's not too late. Week Four. The palace of the withered princess was full of joyous tidings. Ponies of every background were welcomed into the warm loving halls. Even the outcast creatures of forgotten tribes were allowed respite from the prison of frost they knew as home. The dining table alive with goodwill towards all creatures great or small. Royal servants dashed around the crowded room in a blur of technicolor hues, their princess ordered that they never stop till all guests were fed. Afterward, each creature led to a cozy warm bed. Together they would laugh and the children would play. Outside this night the howling faint and the snow at bay. Water, wine, and juices were given to drink deep, every creature thirst to be quenched no matter how steep. Her most rare sweets shared among the masses. Healthy ponies giggled enjoying the warm cooked meals of a generous princess. Fruits of hidden lands overflowing off the table. Lush salads paired with oats coated in absolutely divine condiments. Soup filled every bowl. Sandwiches stuffed with delicious slices of sweetmeat were shared. Fish were poached and creams were whipped. Seeds were given freely as a gift. Powdered donuts and swollen pies, everything is given freely with no ulterior guise. After all, were fed and not a single tear of sorrow shed. The servants began their final task ordered from a dying princess's bed. They would clear the palace of any glittering treasure, they would remove the silken curtains no matter the measure. They would gather all silver, vases, and pots. They would sell any bronze or jewelry without a second thought. All that she owned would be sold, given to her subjects. To live happily, to watch their children grow old. In the Royal kitchen, the chef finished her order covered in crimson, each part of her departed princess added to all food as a season. Platinum had found how to escape her sin and grant her subjects a fresh start. “Give of yourself, give from your heart.” Author's Note At long last. Season. 1. Of this Horror Anthology Series is complete. Took a bit longer than I expected but at least it's done. Season.2. will have an entirely different format. Being posted as one story with six Chapters, instead of six separate stories. I'm also looking into rewriting Season.1. soon, so remastered versions of each will be updated sometime. Other than that, I hope you enjoyed these little stories. I want to thank all who have taken time to read them, as well to the many readings my stories got on YouTube. Seriously you guys are awesome!
