Twilight opened her eyes to see Sunset and Celestia staring each other down, Sunset smirked “So still eating too much cake. Seriously you need tone down your cake consumption.”

Celestia growled “Are you trying to push my buttons Sunset!”

Sunset giggled “Of course not, at least not right now. I was just checking if it worked and mentioning your cake was easiest way to do that. Loosen up a little Celestia, take a day off perhaps.”

A voice shouted “Sister, we heard that a demon was in the castle! I seek…die foul beast!” Sunset rolled the eyes as she caught Luna in her magic. Luna roared as she struggled “Let go of me foul cur!”

Cozy’s eyes narrowed “Are you calling my girlfriend a cur because that isn’t a very smart decision.”

Celestia frowned “Sunset put my sister down.” she then turned to her sister with a slight growl “Don’t just jump into a fight without least asking what is going on.”

Luna pouted as she was lowered to the ground, Twilight coughed “Um this is Sunset Shimmer. She was the one who took my crown in the Crystal Empire” she quickly added at Luna’s glare “She’s better now, she even reformed the sirens.”

Celestia and Luna’s eyes narrowed “Sirens.”

Sunset turned to Twilight unimpressed “Smooth Twilight” she then beckoned Adagio, Aria and Sonata who had been quiet “These are Sonata, Aria and Adagio, the sirens from ages past.” Her eyes narrowed as Celestia and Luna tensed “They are reformed now, they are here to see a bit of Equestria. They have been gone for over one thousand years. They deserved to see their home world for a bit.”

Luna growled “They caused ponies to fight one another, do you know how many lives were lost that day?”

Sunset’s eyes slitted changing to orange “Ten thousand and five Earth Ponies, twelve thousand and twenty two Pegasi, eleven thousand and one Unicorns, eleven thousand five hundred Thestrals. I well aware Nightmare Moon but you committed similar atrocities one thousand years ago because of petty jealously. Sixty thousand ponies died because of that, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters all lost.”

Luna flinched from Sunset’s verbal tirade fear in her voice “How do you now that!”

Sunset grimaced “While Celestia is Shining Sun , I am Daybreaker the Unconquered Sun. The product of all Celestia’s pent up emotions, pride and passion put into a dummy body that your sister made for her confrontation with you.”

Luna’s eyes turned to her sister “Why didn’t you tell about this, about your darker side!”

Celestia turned away in shame “I thought it was gone, thought I was free from it’s gasp.”

Sunset rolled her eyes “You can’t run from yourself Princess, you could easily become me. One bad day and you could become just another demon. Now if you’d excuse me I’d like to return home.”

Cozy Glow frowned at the Sirens “Do you wish to stay here a bit longer?”

Adagio shook her head “We are not really safe here, we more wanted to return for the magic. We came here to get one last look at the world we came from, we are more than willing to leave.”

Just as Sunset was about to teleport them Cozy Glow shook her head “I want to try something, please?”

Sunset smiled as she gave Cozy a peck on her body cheeks “Sure just be careful.” Cozy Glow focused her own magic, the power of death enclosed them in it’s power before blinking out of existence leaving Twilight behind in the room with her fellow Princesses. Twilight rubbed the back of her head “I better catch up with them, say my goodbyes.” Twilight soon dissapeared in a flash of light.

She arrived to see Sunset putting the book into the portal, Twilight galloped over “I see your returning, please if you have any other magical issues tell me.”

Sunset smiled “I’m sure between me and my friends we’ll probably be sending a message over about how we handled it. Still thanks for this Twilight.”

Twilight smiled back “I’m proud of you.” She watched as the four of them leapt through the portal, glad that things were working out for the better.

The four of them landed only to see their friends hanging around the mirror portal, Rainbow and Applejack stood up “Is everything alright!”

Sunset nodded “It turns out Princess Celestia was having some issues, the truth is I was created from her soul as a container for all of her emotions. As such I had to deal with an immortal lifetime of negative emotions that built up but the elements served that connection. Since then my soul became it’s own but I had to link us up again as unlike mine her soul didn’t heal from our separation, don’t worry I won’t got back to being that person.”

Fluttershy smiled “Well I’m glad your back safe and sound, all of you. Now join us, we were having a picnic hoping that you would return soon.”

Cozy Glow sat down pulling Sonata over to a plate of Tacos that were set up, Sonata’s eyes glistened as she took a bite. Sunset grinned sitting down “Whoever made those Tacos had the right idea.”

Adagio laughed “I agree” she then turned to Sunset “How did you turn into a demon anyway? Equestrian magic is no supposed to do that last time I checked.”

Sunset grimaced “Well I was the school bully here for a while, no-one dared oppose me. I broke into the Crystal Empire castle and brought it to this world. When I got my hands on it, it’s power turned me into a powerful demon. Princess Twilight, Applejack, Pinkie, Rainbow Fluttershy and Rarity blasted me with a huge rainbow friendship laser before I could destroy anything. I also mind controlled almost the whole school.”

Aria turned to her “And they forgave you.”

Sunset nodded with a smile “It took some time but with the help of Cozy I was accepted into the group.”

Aria then frowned before her eyes widened in shock as she looked at Cozy “You were that super soldier kid that became the most feared Field Marshal ever to grace the battlefield! You were known by those who saw you actions as the Grim Reaper!”

Cozy grimaced “I don’t want to remember that Aria, how did you even know that anyway!”

Aria frowned “I keep tabs on historical events because they may end up helping me two centuries or so down the line. I prefer to be prepared.” The group’s picnic continued until they needed to return home..

Meanwhile in Canterlot Twilight sighed “Sorry I really should have said something about all of this, maybe some thing would have come out better.”

Celestia shook her head “What happened there needed to be said, it wasn’t pleasant but it was necessary right Luna.”

Luna nodded “I’m not exactly happy that my sister was keeping secrets but we will leave that in the past free to move to the future. I do expect my sister to tell me everything from now on.” The three Alicorns change topics to something more suitable for normal conversation. Even as Sunset leaves the odd crass comment in Celestia’s head.
