Cozy Glow and Sunset were snuggling in a single bed as snow fell outside, Sunset smiled “This is perfect.”

Cozy Glow whispered tiredly as she snuggled up against Sunset “I wish we could spend all day like this.”

Sunset giggled “I can understand that but we have school today. We can’t miss school because we are comfy.” Sunset got out of bed and had a quick shower as her girlfriend dragged herself out of bed. Cozy looked wearily at Sunset “I’ll be in the shower now.”

Sunset nodded “I’ll be dressed when you come out.”

Sunset put on a blue shirt and her black leather jacket as well as a pair of dark blue jeans. She began doing some stretches, only for Cozy Glow to tiredly put on dark blue undergarments. Sunset helped her tired girlfriend put a black shirt and black jeans as well as pair of black boots.

Sunset escorted the tired Cozy down the stairs, Tirek was sitting down with a cup of tea “Up late last night?”

Sunset smiled “Cozy did, I feel asleep as we snuggled. Cozy didn’t it seems.”

Tirek smiled “You two are perfect for one another, I didn’t bother to give the usual dad speech. I can see you two are thick as thieves, seeing you makes think back to how I first met Chrysalis. A black market dealer in exotic goods had just stolen a priceless artefact from a museum we set up to meet our contact, it was a massive shock when we met Chrysalis. All of us knew her as the author of these stories but it shocked us to hear the seemingly innocent writer was actually the real life inspiration for her own stories.”

Sunset began making cereal for Cozy and herself as Cozy laid her head upon the table. Meanwhile inside the hall of Canterlot High Garble, Flash Sentry and Diamond Dogs were all in group outside the school “Tonight is when it starts, any rumours you have bring them to me. As a freshmen nobody would suspect me.”

Garble grinned “Today we set the plan into motion, let’s break down the She-Demon!”

Flash Sentry growled “She will pay for all she has done!”

The three Diamond Dogs grinned “Time to show everyone who is truly in charge!”

Apple Bloom frowned “Anything on Lightning and Trixie, they might figure it out if we don’t bring them quickly after today.”

Garble grinned “Lighting Dust’s parents are horribly homophobic, we will bring her down that way. Get both of them out of hair in one fell swoop.”

Soon Sunset and Cozy had arrived at the school, Cozy yawned “Remind never to spend so long up at night again. I should have gone to sleep instead of fiddling with my phone.”

Sunset grinned “I’ll make sure you get some good sleep tonight.”

Cozy blushed “Not in public Sunset, please. We’re about to enter the school and we don’t want to be seen as being inappropriate do we?”

Sunset laughed “That’s true, come on our friends are likely awaiting us.” Their eyes widened in shock as they what was happening. Gilda and Fluttershy were sitting down their arms resting on a rock. Gilda gritted her teeth as Fluttershy smirked as pushed down Gilda’s arm hard.

Cozy blinked “What?”

Fluttershy shrugged “I’m a lot tougher than I look.”

Rainbow frowned “What are you all doing for Christmas?”

Sunset rubbed the back of her head “Um, what does one do for Christmas exactly?’

Pinkie’s jaw dropped “What, how do you know nothing about Christmas!”

Sunset deadpanned “I lived in a cottage in the middle of the forest, the closest thing I had to friends were the Timberwolves guarding my home. Who was I supposed to celebrate the occasion with.”

Applejack smiled “Well Ah suggest we do a series of Christmas parties, one at each our places before Christmas. I’m sure Cozy Glow and Tirek have their own plans for Christmas.”

Pinkie cheered “Tonight, slumber party at my place!” The rest of the school day passed normally and soon the slumber party began. Gilda, Fluttershy, Rainbow and Applejack arrived first. Rainbow smiled eagerly “Let’s get this party started.”

Gilda pulled her back “Slow down Rainbow. Wallflower, Cozy, Rarity and Sunset aren’t here yet.”

Wallflower smiled as she walked in with the other six “You were saying?”

Sunset grinned “So what does everyone want to do first, I’d be happy to have an arm wrestle with any challenger.”

Cozy giggled “Come on Sunset, not all of are physical juggernauts. I’m sure Rarity, Wallflower, Pinkie and Adagio have their own ideas of fun. I for one would like to do some girly things tonight, paint nails and put on make-up. Be a normal girl for once.”

Adagio smirked “Quite right, I could do that for you. Let’s go upstairs.” Soon the whole group was in Pinkie’s room, Cozy smiled as Adagio was painting her nails.

Applejack was sitting next to Cozy as Rarity was doing the same to her “How did Ah let ya talk me into this?”

Wallflower grinned as she was playing a racing game with Rainbow Dash “Come on slowpoke, speed it up.”

Rainbow Dash grimaced “How are you so good at this?”

Wallflower giggled “Rainbow, I have been a Wallflower for years. I played video games on my own for years when I was home, I have years of experience.”

Sonata and Pinkie were having a cupcake eating contest with Fluttershy and Aria cheering for their respective side. Gilda was playing a game of chess with Sunset, she was actually doing pretty well having the same number of pieces. Gilda frowned “Are you going easy on me or something?”

Sunset laughed she looked at her pieces “You are quite good at this, I’ve never had this type of challenge in a long while. The only person who was ever a challenge was Princess Celestia, the fact you rate with a one thousand year old chess master says a lot about you. You are smarter than you think, you can predict my moves multiple steps ahead. You have quite a bit of foresight.”

Applejack got a call on her phone, she looked at her phone and soon it was levitating over to her to see that it was Apple Bloom as she answered it putting it on loudspeaker “Apple Bloom, did something happen?”

Apple Bloom frowned “I thought you were coming home tonight?”

Applejack sighed “Well we all got the idea that Sunset never had a Christmas before so we wanted to make this special.”

Apple Bloom shrugged on the other side of the phone as she had own plans to set into motion “Well I’ll see you tommorow at school, Piggly Wiggly.”

Sunset rubbed her forehead as Apple Bloom hung up “You know Applejack, I’ve heard that expression used to refer to you before but I have no idea what it meant. Even in my darkest days I didn’t pry into family secrets, you don’t mess with someone’s family.”

Applejack sighed “It’s a family nickname, when Ah was a toddler Ah was found playing in the pig pen. They called me Piggly Wiggly and it stuck.”

Sunset frowned “I overheard Big Mac mention while he was working, I believe it was family business and never followed up on it.”

Cozy rolled her eyes “We’re here to have fun, not to get upset.” The rest of the party was fun unaware that something dark was lurking in the shadows watching as it awaited the stirring of hatred.
