Author's Note

Sorry I took 3 years to release a new chapter had been busy with life and all. But enjoy the newest chapter. This chapter deals with what's going on in the Old World lands of Stirrope and some of my oc main characters. Stirrope is the medieval Europe of this story.
The ponies are anthro in this story. Also if your wondering what the Stiroppean pony nations armies have for cavalry its Pegasus whom will often act as cavalry this is not the only role they fight in of course.

Chapter 2

(One Realm, Two kingdoms and their allies. Two Kings Total War.)

(Meanwhile in Stirrope.)
(Castle Maen home origins of the Eolish ponies)

An anthro male tall tan skin alicorn with a dark brown mane and tail named Tarwin Everchoosen prince of Eoland (he is the alicorn from the prior chapter) is in a war room alone within the castle having just returned from another successful campaign in capturing two Chavalee Castles north of the City of Orleans in central Chavale with a large army of 10000 pony men at arms, knights and their famed long bow men, while his general Alexander took two castles south Of Orleans with a large Pegasus Calvary force of 5000 during the night opening the gates of the castle for the rest of the ground troops of 5000 to size the castles.

Tariwn He had been planning for an attack on Orleans as it's capture would strike a harsh blow against the Chavalee ponies. He had begun readying his armies for an attack on the city and ready more supplies and a strategic plan to surround Orleans with aid from the Borardgundy ponies whom bought another 10000 pony soldiers. Numbering 30000 Tarwin wants to bring another 10000 to the Orleans front so he can fully surround the walls of the great city as it size is big and he wants to make sure their is no escape let alone reinforcements to support the city 20000 military defenders. Tarwin had returned to summon another army he had arrived and sent a scripe to summon the Maen governor so he could send him another 10000 troops. The Eolish ponies have been on the offensive for a while now and have no intention of letting the Chavalee ponies of Chavale recover from their many defeats in this long war. Take Orleans they can crush Chavalee moral and finally take the capital of Chavale Cavalcade.

Suddenly Hastien Tarwin's brother a Unicorn pony shows up in the empty war room while Tarwin was staring at the fire place and the flames cackling.
"Hastien?! What are you doing here? Our father and king Pyger would be furious if he learns that's the heir to the throne was without his body guard escort." Tarwin said to his brother.

Unlike Tarwin wearing chain mail armor with a metal helmet and some metal armor. Hastien is wearing full plate armor without the helmet.

"Then we should make sure the king never finds out brother. But I come with news. After your success in capturing the four castles protecting Orleans their is rumors that a female Alicorn peasant girl has been knighted By King Azon in the city of Charlon South of Orleans. My spies have reported this Alicorn peasant girl is going to be leading an army of some 20000 pony soldiers to defend the city of Orleans and even retake your hard earned conquest Tarwin." Hastien said coming to to Tarwin and standing before his taller alicorn brother.

"I heard rumors that it was King Azon who intended to lead the army of Chavale. Yet for his strength he is a coward. He won't fight confront me after I nearly killed him 6 years ago when I was 16, so he knights somepony to take his place, how far the Chavalee Nobility and King have fallen. But who is this alicorn girl that he appointed?" Tarwin asked.

"She is called Mesluine. (Tarwin almost sweats as he knows who she is) which leads to me wonder brother weren't you seeing an alicorn by that name?" Hastien asked.

"Yes." Tarwin said signing.

"Tarwin you this dose not bold well. I know your love life is none of my business. But Mesluine is now leading the Chavalee army. Which means she is on the side of a king who killed two of our Brothers during the siege of Cavalcade. Harrent the oldest brother who showed you how to stand up for yourself. Ablent the 8th our deceased middle aged brother and a fine tactication and one of the smartest of our siblings, Azon would have killed out sister Adrid too in combat, if you had no stopped him Tarwin. And now he if he learns you and that beautiful Mesluine are in love he will either have her killed to enrage you Tarwn, or worse you be forced to fight her brother and soon. And if you fail or refuse to take Orleans their will be questions to how Mesluine drove you and your armies off with ease." Hastien said concerned.

"I'm not gonna lose on purpose Hastien I won't dishonor my name or our family. Besides Mesluine is a peasant girl formerly. I don't doubt she can fight, but save let alone hold Orleans when I just took four of the castles defending the city with two days? And lets not forget after a Wyatt icon siege, I forced thousands of Chavalee soldiers in the four castles to surrender. Reducing Orleans military strength. All that is left is to capture the farms and cattle ranch supply meat and vegetables for the pony defenders and Chavalee ponies in Orleans will be force to surrender or starve. No the city of Orleans will fall. Besides many Chavalee ponies support me even something Mesluine has yet to gain frm the Chavalee ponies she has yet to prove herself as Knight. If the Goddess wills it. I will be able to capture my beloved Mesluine after she is beaten." Tarwin said.

"Ah the old fashion claim the lady as price. Clever my brother. Reminds me of the story how father claimed our mother Epona. Honestly you out of all of our siblings was born an alicorn Tarwin." Hastien said.

"You don't have to remind me Hastien. I get that enough from many of the Eolish and our Loyal Chavalee noble houses and their families. I've already been privately accused of ploting for the throne. And with rumors how two of our brothers were killed 6 years ago. I rather not have the Btalian inquisition come asking me questions especially with my love for Mesluine." Tarwin said.

"Just be careful Tarwin their are many greedy Chavalee noble knights who would use Mesluine just to hurt you especially since your both on opposite sides in this war brother." Hastien said.

Then a second brother named Darlen an earth pony scholarly type comes into the war room. "Am I interrupting brothers?"

"Oh bother Darlen. Not at all." Hastien said nodding to him.

"Tarwin and Hastien my men interpreted a messager carrying a letter to a group of Chavalee barons in the city of Tours in southern Chavale, whom have been plotting to size the Eolish throne and divide up our lands here on the Chavale mainland including our people's home origins the great Castle Maen itself that we stand in." Darlen said.

"Pfff More arrogant Chavalee ponies ever eager to take the Eolish hard earned lands here on the mainland." Hastien said.

"Brothers the news gets worse. Our mother the queen has gone missing when she was let seen in the City of Boardeaux. I believe the same Chavale barons are the same ponies who kidnapped the queen. And they intend to use her as a bargaining chip in the event you brother Tarwin take the city of Orleans with General Alexander." Darlen said.

"We have to find her, but I still need to send another army to Orleans in preparation for the siege. I worked hard to drive a blow against Chavale I won't let them stop us when we have 2/3 of Chavale were just so close to victory several more after Orleans and we'll have all of Chavale." Tarwin said.

"lets not get ahead of ourselves Tarwin. Chavale has always found a way to resist Eolish rule. If we are to truly keep what we have an we must find our mother and secure our western front, the Tisilian Kingdom will help support our borders in the lands near Boardeaux from their we must find the queen, our father will be furious. And the last thing we need is for hoping to make a rash decision." Darlen said.

"I'll send word to forces near Boardeaux and our strongholds to watch for a Chavalee offensive on our Western coast holdings, I'll make sure the troops you need Tarwin will reach Orleans." Hastien said.

"Then I'll search for our mother and see if I can deal with the Chavalee barons that have kidnapped her." Tarwin said.

"Then I'm going with you brother. Just in case. Alicorn or not Tarwin your not truly invisible." Darlen said.

"Good then lets get on with it. I'll return to my forces at Orleans once I and brother Darlen deal with making sure our mother is safe Hastien." Tarwin said as he and Darlen leave the war room. With Hastien doing the same.
