Forget Me Not
Memory Stone
Previous ChapterNext ChapterWallflower and Trixie were never subtle about their love, especially because of Trixie. So, because of that pretty much everyone knew about their relationship in the school. Nobody really cared, except one particular girl cared. And her name was Sunset Shimmer. Sunset never had any romantic feelings towards Trixie; she liked her platonically. Trixie was really funny and amazing with her unusual antics. Not Pinkie like which are crazy and inadequate, but less crazy, it’s hard to tell. She was just appealing to Sunset.
But, when she saw Trixie kissing Wallflower, Sunset felt really jealous and quite lonely. Yeah, she had her friends, but she wanted something more and apparently Trixie was her ‘something more’.
Every time she saw them kissing, Sunset felt angry. Angry at herself that she didn’t claim Trixie for herself. “Stupid Wallflower…”
“This can’t go on…” Sunset thought; she sat in her room at night, staring at the night sky. Loneliness once again and dreamless night making her anxious all over again. She sighed, “This crush is making me crazy, I need to confront her…”
…
As determination filled Sunset’s heart, she decided to approach Trixie after classes ended. She sent her a quick message to meet her.
“Trixie I need to talk to you. It’s urgent. Meet me at the physics class after school.”
…
“Hmm, what Sunset needs I wonder?” Trixie thought as she typed to Wallflower. “Hey, Wallflowey, Sunset wants to talk to me afterschool, will you wait for me? I’ll be at the physics class”
Trixie carelessly approached the room, not worrying about anything in particular, just wondering about what she will be doing with Wallflower today. Quietly laughing at the cute Wallflower pictures she took of her.
She opened the door and instantly, her thoughts were interrupted by a very thoughtful and gloomy Sunset, standing in the middle of the room, leaning on a table. Her eyes were closed and here arms were crossed, she looked thoughtful. Now, Trixie was worried.
“H-heya, Sunset, what’s up?” Trixie tried to casually ask, though her voice wavering a bit.
Sunset sighed and Trixie could faintly hear a whisper “…I can’t help it” She opened her eyes and approached Trixie, while Trixie backed off a bit from such sudden moves.
“T-trixie, I-I… have something to tell you… Well…” Sunset stammered “L-let me just show you!”
“W-what is going on?” Trixie was confused and didn’t know what to think.
Sunset quickly approached Trixie and grabbed her by the shoulders pulling her closer against her will. In all honesty, Trixie didn’t even have the time to react as Sunset connected their lips, forcing a deep kiss. She pressed her against the door, unintentionally with too much force, thus lightly slamming her, fiercely kissing her. Holding back her feelings all those weeks was a mistake as Sunset couldn’t control them now as they were all pouring out.
After a few seconds, Trixie came out of her shock and started struggling against Sunset, but it was proving futile, as Sunset was much stronger than Trixie.
Unfortunately, for Trixie, Sunset was enjoying the kiss despite her initial thoughts about this; she prolonged the kiss for a few dozen seconds. Sunset actually felt happy, but when she opened her eyes and saw Trixie’s expression, she felt awful even more than the feeling of jealousy or anger during those dreamless nights.
Tears welled up in her eyes, when Sunset loosened the grip; she freed herself from Sunset, shoving her away from her. “S-sunset! What are you doing?!” Trixie cried, “I’m in love with Wallflower! D-didn’t you know?!”
“I-I’m sorry, Trixie! I just… felt so jealous! I’m sorry!” Sunset felt even more awful after she realized that Trixie’s heart is taken by Wallflower, and she can’t do anything about it. She ran from the physics class, away from the school, away from everyone, even ignoring her friends.
Trixie was left at the class; she wiped her eyes and tried to calm down. After a few minutes, her heart stopped racing and her breathing slowed down to a normal pace. Trixie took out her phone and called Wallflower, but she was denied every time she tried. No matter how many times she tried to call her. The messages were never delivered, this got Trixie concerned. “This could only mean… that she blocked me…” Trixie thought ”Did she… see the kiss?”
Trixie ran from the class, desperate, she was heavily breathing, thoughts racing, thinking about Wallflower. She decided to run to the garden. Her mind was a mess, if it happens what she thinks is happening, then Wallflower must think that Trixie cheated on her. Trixie was worried sick as she arrived at her destination.
Their garden of paradise was completely ruined; a lot of flowers were ripped from the earth, even her favorite patch of forget-me-nots were destroyed. Trixie took out her phone and called Fuchsia. Unfortunately, Fuchsia didn’t know where her sister was.
She sighed “I’ll have to confront her tomorrow I guess…” Trixie texted Fuchsia “When you’ll see Wallflower, please, tell her that I love her.”
…
Thirty minutes ago…
Wallflower received a text message from Trixie that she would be in the physics class talking with Sunset. Normally, Wallflower would not worry about a thing like this, but… She didn’t trust Sunset, so she was really worried about this.
She approached the room and heard a bang that got her attention. Wallflower looked at the door, which had a small transparent window.
What she saw was terrifying, “Trixie is cheating on me… with Sunset?” Her vision got blurry of all the tears that filled her eyes. She was crushed; her heart was beating so hard it hurt in her chest. Wallflower breathed heavily, she ran away from this terror to the only place that could calm her down.
Arriving at her garden, she felt her tears flow even stronger as she recalled the tender moments that she had with Trixie, especially in her garden. She looked at all the flowers that she planted with Trixie and started ripping them from earth with anger, after a while she went to the special flowers, forget-me-nots that she planted when she felt love for Trixie.
After destroying the flowers that mattered the most to Wallflower and Trixie, she went to the rock with an intricate pattern and dug up a memory stone…
…
Trixie lied down in her bed, not able to sleep, worry filling her heart. She couldn’t rest until she knew that Wallflower was alright, just then a message notification beeped from her phone.
She desperately picked her phone up and started reading the message. Trixie got a bit disappointed when she read the name “Fuchsia”, but she read the message anyways.
“Did you guys break up or something? Wallflower locked her door, so I can’t reach out to her. She is crying for hours in there… Dude, that’s so fucked up.”
Trixie felt even worse after she read the message. “Everything will be okay”she whispered to herself, trying to calm down. “Everything will be okay…”
Eventually Trixie fell asleep, with her mind in disarray.
…
The next day was Saturday, Trixie was supposed to be with Wallflower since they usually had a sleepover on Fridays. Her mind was a blur, so when Trixie woke up she was surprised to find herself in her own home, alone. Usually she would be Wallflower’s body pressing against hers, but Wallflowever was nowhere.
Trixie tried to recall what happened yesterday, the whole day was cut in pieces, and she only recalled bits of this day, one by one. First, it was just a usual day, but then it somehow wasn’t. Secondly, she recalled hanging out at physics class for some reason. Thirdly, going to theirs garden, but it was destroyed. Finally, she recalled receiving a Fuchsia’s message that contained something about a break up.
After realizing this, Trixie opened up her phone and couldn’t believe what she was seeing. “Did I-I really break up with Wallflower?”
Depression sunk in her heart as Trixie started believing this. Her mind was still in disarray about yesterday. She looked through pictures on her phone, containing Wallflower; tears welled up in her eyes and she cleared them with her hands. “This can’t be happening, we were so happy,” Trixie thought as she looked through her messages, the ones with Wallflower.
Just then, she noticed a message conversation with Sunset Shimmer. Trixie was confused, “Why do I have Sunset’s contact? I hate her… Stupid alpha bitch” Judging by the conversation Sunset was friendly to Trixie for some reason, this got Trixie riled up, because she didn’t recall any good moments about Sunset and writing these text messages.
She reached to the end of the conversation and read the last message and certain words caught her attention “…meet me at the physics club…”
Trixie looked at the message date, it was sent yesterday. She recalled that she did hang out in the physics class after school, and then realization struck in “Did she had something to do with my break up?”
She was furious and couldn’t think straight “I need to talk to Sunset…”
Trixie calmed down once her train of thought went by Wallflower’s station, she recalled that they were supposed to go to a beach today, this would be the first time she would have seen her in her bikini. She blushed as she imagined her ex-girlfriend.
…
The next day was infuriatingly long for Trixie, because she was in no mood at all; she decided to make a gift for Wallflower, wanting to patch things up between them, whatever happened. Trixie recalled a funny moment and started drawing herself and Wallflower, with Trixie wrapped up around Wallflower’s body not letting her go, no matter how many times Wallflower asked. Eventually, though Wallflower gave up and just started playing with her phone while Trixie groped her body sometimes reaching dangerous areas receiving cute sounds from her girlfriend.
Trixie was really excited about this drawing, the only thing that made her somehow less miserable. Finished with the line art she used her special aquarelle pencils just for this occasion to add some more beauty into it.
The drawing took her whole day to finish but it was worth it. Trixie stretched her arms a bit, tired because of the sitting position. Her eyes hurt a little bit.
She wrote down the first words she said to Wallflower when she ‘met’ her or ‘started dating’ to be precise. A phrase that wooed Wallflower’s heart.
Trixie put the drawing in her backpack and was looking ahead for tomorrow’s dreaded day. Monday.
…
The next day was as usual as always, Trixie tried to find Sunset before lunchtime but she was nowhere to be seen. She wanted to approach Wallflower on lunch, but she needs to speak with Sunset. “Ugh, stupid Shimmer…”
Just when Trixie was admiring the drawing she made, she heard Sunset’s voice and put the drawing in the backpack.
Trixie looked around and saw Sunset yelling at Micro Chips. “…I’m not mean! Got it!” the startled nerd ran away from Sunset “I’m not mean!”
After a brief second their eyes met, Sunset was a bit aggravated. She approached Trixie and she started approaching Sunset too. Ready to talk about what Sunset did to her in the physics club.
“So, here we are…” Sunset said
Trixie raised an eyebrow at this “Here we do are?”
They stared at each other’s throats, though Trixie was confused for a second but then she recalled why she wanted to talk to Sunset before, but she couldn’t come up with any words.
Sunset was the first to act and so she advanced on Trixie, questioning her “Where’s the memory stone? You turned me against your friends just because I kissed you?! I apologized!”
“Wait… what are you talking about?” Trixie was even more confused.
“I’m sorry alright!” Sunset yelled.
“Wait, Sunset kissed me? That’s an interesting information, but then Trixie recalled that she asked Wallflower to wait for her by the physics class. Did Wallflower see the kiss?” Trixie thought hard and as realization sunk in, she stared daggers at Sunset.
“Because of you, Wallflower broke up with me!” Trixie accused Sunset pointing an index finger at her.
“R-really? I’m sorry, Trixie… I-I didn’t mean to” Sunset regretted her decisions she looked sadly at Trixie. “But, what about memory stone?”
“What memory stone?” Trixie asked confused once again.
“The one you used to erase everyone’s good memories of me! You manipulative… Blowhard!” Sunset yelled, “Okay, I messed up with your love life, but I didn’t deserve this! It’s just crush!”
“What’re you talking about? Memory stone? Well I don’t remember our kiss, it might as well didn’t happen! Stop lying!” Trixie yelled losing her thought; she crossed her arms. “Humph.”
“Wait… You don’t remember our kiss?” Sunset asked, “Is that a good memory for her?” she thought, surprised at this revelation that Trixie forgot the kiss.
“I… don’t” Trixie said still angry but then her anger quickly subsided “Did somebody really erase everyone’s good memories of you?”
Sunset nodded at the question, sad about the whole ordeal.
“…And even though we know you’re the biggest meanie. You’re saying, you’re not mean anymore?”
“It’s complicated,” Sunset, said rubbing her right hand, uncomfortable with this situation.
“I’m still mad at you for the kiss, I don’t remember, but I’m willing to help you with your situation, if you tell Wallflower that the kiss was your stupid, egotistic initiative.” Trixie was accentuating on ‘stupid’ and ‘egotistic’ words; she offered Sunset her hand.
After thinking hard on this subject, Sunset didn’t have many options so she accepted Trixie’s hand. “…Deal.”
…
They started to search for the culprit of Sunset’s situation, with Trixie totally forgetting about approaching Wallflower.
Asking about every single student was a tad hard. Trixie’s temples were starting to pound and hurt from all the thinking. Being the Great and Powerful Detective she is, Trixie concluded that nobody could do it without a memory stone, whatever that was. However, they couldn’t interrogate every student, a few of them were sick and then there was Wallflower who didn’t came to school as Trixie was told.
This was a dead end; they didn’t know what to do. Just then as they got desperate, Sunset’s magical book started to glow. They opened the book and soon enough a magical text started appearing on its pages.
“Sunset, we think the memory stone was buried under this rock formation…”
“Wait! I know that rock formation!” Trixie exclaimed pointing at a picture that was drawn in the book.
“You do?” Sunset asked.
“Yeah, it’s in Wallflower’s garden… Could she possibly be the cause of that?” Trixie asked but it was more of rhetorical question.
“Come on! Lead me to this garden, the memory stone must be destroyed by this day’s sunset or else all memories will be gone forever!” Sunset panicked.
…
Trixie took Sunset’s hand and started running in the direction of the garden. After a few a minutes, they arrived at the garden, which was as ruined as she recalled it was. Approaching it further, they heard leaves brushing, feeling someone’s presence in the dark shadows.
They’ve heard Wallflower’s faint and timid voice “What are you doing here? Just leave me alone…” She emerged from the forest and they noticed her. Wallflower had a disheveled hair there were tears forming in her eyes and she had an intricate rock in her hands. A memory stone.
Upon noticing that Sunset’s and Trixie’s hands were intertwined, Wallflower’s demeanor turned from sad to angry in seconds. “You…! Why! Why did you have to take her away from me! You’ve had everything! The whole school was yours!” Wallflower was screaming tears flowing down her eyes, though her anger receded after so much yelling and sadness came along with a deep feeling of loneliness. “…And you had to take… the most precious… You greedy bitch!”
She spit the last words like it was venom, Sunset didn’t know what to do, she did feel guilty about it.
Trixie let go of Sunset’s hand and slowly approached Wallflower. “Heya, Wallflowey… Come on, you know it’s not true. I will be yours forever. Don’t be like that.” Trixie tried to smile and encourage Wallflower to calm down.
“…No! Trixie stay out of this!” Wallflower raised the memory stone in front of her towards Sunset. “You left me no choice, Sunset!” The intricate pattern on the memory stone with the eye in the center glowed with an ominous red color.
Time froze as Trixie thought what she should do, Trixie wanted to stop Wallflower from what she was about to do, it probably wasn’t a good thing, the red glow from the stone settled dread in her mind. She briefly looked at Sunset, noticed that she was shocked in fear, and could not move. This was a helpless situation.
Even if Sunset did ruin her relationship; try as she might Trixie couldn’t feel hatred towards Sunset, because she was a nice and kind girl. If it wasn’t for Wallflower she would probably hit on Sunset. She didn’t deserve this, nor does anybody for that matter, it was just an accident. So, Trixie didn’t have much of a choice.
The beam shot from the memory stone towards Sunset with rapid speed, and then a blinding light struck the forest. It was brighter than the sunrays, illuminating everything around them, dispelling the darkness for a split of a second.
Sunset raised her hands in a defensive motion waiting for the impact, but she didn’t feel anything. She opened her eyes, recovering from the bright flash.
Trixie stood in front of her, she breathed heavily, shaking a bit. She fell on the ground helplessly, shaking as if she was cold. Sunset approached her and noticed that Trixie’s eyes were closed shut, she looked pained as if afraid of opening her eyes.
Wallflower stood frozen in spot, “T-trixie…?” She realized that the magic beam of the memory stone struck the most precious in her life. She looked at the memory stone trying to recall how to reverse the effects of erasing everything. But, as she clutched the memory stone in her hands it crumbled and in mere seconds dissolved into dust. “W-what! No! This can’t be happening!” She tried to reach for thin air but it was useless, the memory stone was gone, after it performed its strongest spell on her precious…
Sunset started approaching Trixie and Wallflower noticed this, “Stay away! Leave her!” She complied despite her judgment to help Trixie, she knew deep in her mind that it was all her fault.
Wallflower carefully approached Trixie, already knowing that Trixie may not be Trixie anymore. She approached the shaking Trixie, who refused to open her eyes. Trixie was afraid, her voice was shaking as she whispered in terror “No, no, no. no…”
“Trixie…” Wallflower started crying, “Trixie…” heavily breathing, shaking from fear.
Upon hearing Wallflower’s voice Trixie opened her eyes…
