"Man, it's been years since I've been back here..." A young man spoke as he walked the many vendors of MegaCon. This is Justin, he's 28 years old, and he's finally returning to the one place he could go without being judged for being such a huge fan of anything anime, video games, or even Tokusatsu related. He had not gotten a chance to dress up before, since the last time he went to a MegaCon was literally when he was still in middle school, and that was mainly because someone else didn't want to go. So, he essentially got a ticket for free. Not that he complained about it, but the first time he went, he fell in love with everything. Seeing so many cosplayers, and seeing so many different kinds of merchandise... it was paradise for him. Now, here he was, reliving that love he once had, and this time, he actually got a costume to go as. He decided to dress as a Kamen Rider, since he was told so much about it. The one he chose?
Kamen Rider Birth.
Sure, he could have gone as OOO and one of the combinations he had (he was a huge fan of the TaJaDor and PuToTyra combos), but he wanted to show some love to Birth, since he was often overlooked, especially when OOO had the many different forms. There was just one problem with Justin's outfit....
HE FORGOT TO GET THE BIRTH DRIVER!!!
"God, I can't believe the costume didn't come with it..." He swore under his helmet, as he looked around. Hopefully he could find someone who was selling a Birth Driver here, but to no avail. "Dammit... Guess I'll go without a complete costume..."
"Maybe not, stranger..."
The voice made Justin jump a bit as he turned and saw someone dressed as the creepy merchant from Resident Evil 4. "Whoa, dude! You scared the bejeesus out of me!" He held a hand up to his heart as he looked at him. "Got to say, though... great costume." "Why, thank you, stranger. Now... I overheard you were looking for something? So... What are you buying?" "I'm trying to find someone who was selling a Birth Driver... As you can see, my costume's kind of incomplete without it..." The Merchant looked him up and down, nodding. "Ah, yes... it does look like it's missing something... Lucky for you, I got what you need..." With a flourish, he gestured to his stand, showing all different kinds of items, including...
"A Birth Driver!" Justin exclaimed in joy. He couldn't believe his luck! "Wow, this looks amazing! Like, it was hand-crafted!" The Merchant chuckles at the young man's enthusiasm. "How much for it?" "Well, since I like you... how about... $15?" Justin's jaw would have dropped had it not been for his helmet. "$15?!? That's cheaper than buying one online!!" He fished out some money, handing him a $20 bill. "Keep the change, man. You really saved me." "Heheheh, no... I should be thanking you, stranger... heheheh..." "Huh? What do you mean...?" He couldn't finish his sentence, considering he was feeling rather drowsy after placing the Birth Driver into place on his outfit. He felt his eyelids growing heavy as he started to loose consciousness. The last thing he heard was....
"Enjoy your stay... Kamen Rider Birth... heheheh..."
"Ngh..." A soft groan escaped Justin's mouth as he started to wake up. He noticed how he was laying, face down... in grass? "Huh? But... wasn't I indoors?" He groans as he slowly got up to his feet, and noticed something else... "WHERE'S MY COSTUME?!?!" He was in his normal clothes, a simple white t-shirt, jeans, and his black Sketcher comp-toe shoes. The only thing he had on that was out of place, was the Birth Driver he bought from that Merchant. "What the hell is going on?" He noticed that there was a lot of commotion going on, as he went to investigate... and soon found his jaw dropped. He saw what looked like insectoid-like beings were chasing a young girl, no older than his sister, who was 18... but that wasn't what shocked him, nor the fact she was in a dress... She was an anthropomorphic pony, with yellow fur, a red mane and tail, with a bow on her head, and instead of feet she had hooves. "What kind of bizarro world did I end up in?" 'I knew I should have eaten before I got to the convention...' He thought this was delirium brought on by hunger, but that was soon disproven when he pinched himself... and still saw this scene, but his anger started to boil when the insectoid beings were cornering the pony girl. He could hear them clearly.
"What should we do with this one? Our queen sent us out to make sure no one interferes..." "True, but she never said we couldn't have some... fun with anyone we capture..." The two chuckled as Applebloom shivered in fear,tears forming in her eyes.
"Somepony... please... SAVE ME!!"
"HIYA!!!"
A shout soon drew the Changelings attention as someone came flying out at them, from the bushes, and did a flying kick to ones face, sending him into his partner. The figure soon stood up, and they soon got a good look at him. He was tall, 6'2", clearly male, with short brown hair and some facial hair on his face, not too much, showing that he did shave, but it was growing back. He was also wearing a white shirt, showing he had some muscle to him, as well as blue denim jeans and black shoes, obviously steel-toed since the one he kicked was spitting out some teeth. The Changelings glared at this intruder, and the one who got kicked got up. "What in Tarturus' name are you?!?!" The male figure merely scoffed. "Someone who doesn't like bullies..." He pulled out a singular Cell Medal (he had no idea where it came from), as he flipped it in the air. "... and I'm gonna teach you a lesson..." He caught it in his right hand, as he smirked.
"Henshin..."
(This is the Birth Henshin sequence)
He slipped the Cell Medal into the Birth Driver, and turned the knob on the side, as it soon made a pop sound, as he soon was encased in a green energy dome. When it faded, they would see he was now in a black suit with green, silver and black armor pieces, with a helmet that looked almost like a scorpion. He had become Kamen Rider Birth. The Changelings took a few steps back in shock and fear, as Applebloom looked on in shock and awe. Birth smirked under his helmet, as he clapped his hands together. "Alright... Who's first to get their asses kicked?"
Author's Note
This is my first try at a Kamen Rider/MLP story, as well as a true Displaced, with a Kamen Rider I really liked, even if he was Secondary Rider. Please, leave me some love in the bottom, and I hope to continue this story, since I really want to take up writing stories.
