Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker Fusion

It was a beautiful day in Equestria, and Luna slept peacefully in her bed. She knew she needed to wake up to have breakfast with her sister. But her desire to stay in bed was greater. But her happiness ended when she heard the sound of her bedroom door opening and closing and footsteps approaching the bed.

“Luna, wake up”, said Celestia. Since Luna was sleeping, she didn’t even listen.

“Come on Luna. Me and Twilight need you”, asked Celestia with a smile.

Luna, still with her eyes closed, replied, “What is, sister?”

“Twilight wants me, her, and you to go to Everfree Forest together”, replied Celestia.

“But why do I have to go along? Couldn’t it be just you?” asked Luna, still with her eyes closed.

“Luna, Twilight knows you’re not social like me, but she would like you to come along so you can have fun”, replied Celestia. She really hoped Luna wouldn’t be bothered by her talking about it.

“Can’t it be in the night?” asked Luna, now looking at Celestia. She had dark circles in her eyes.

“I’m sorry, Luna. But Twilight wanted us to go during the day”, replied Celestia, now a little sad.

As much as Luna meant “no”, she wanted to say “yes”. Luna wasn’t a morning bird, but she intended to make Twilight Sparkle happy. Because Twilight was her first friend, and Luna feared losing Twilight if she didn’t accept, “ok, Sister. I will go”

Celestia smiled at the answer, “Thank you, Luna. You have no idea how much you will make Twilight happy”

Luna smiled, but she began to feel sleepy. She was fighting to not fall asleep. But unfortunately, Luna ended up sleeping. Celestia caught Luna with her magic before taking her sister to the bathroom to wash Luna’s face to wake her up.

After Celestia had washed Luna’s face, the younger sister was no longer sleepy. They left their room and saw Twilight Sparkle with a backpack. Twilight smiled to see Celestia and Luna, “Celestia! Luna!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle in joy before she was worried. “Princess, why did you take so long to wake up Luna?”

“Luna was having trouble to wake up”, replied Celestia.

Twilight Sparkle looked worried. She looked at Luna, “Are you more awake now, Luna?”

Luna smiled as she nodded, “Yes, Twilight. As a princess of the night, I stay up all night watching the dreams”

“Er… Luna. I already know that”, said Twilight Sparkle, now with her ears down.

“I know, Twilight”, said Luna, still with a smile.

“So, are you more awake now?” asked Twilight Sparkle.

“Yes. Thanks to Tia, who washed my face, and also the water, which helped me wake up”, replied Luna.

“Are you sure you don’t want to stay here at the castle? I understand that you need to sleep during the day because of your royal duties”, said Twilight Sparkle. Twilight didn’t want Celestia’s sister to go if she wasn’t well.

“Don’t worry about us… I mean, with me, Twilight. Now I’m wide awake and I can go with you both”, replied Luna, still smiling.

Twilight Sparkle still wanted to make sure, “So, you’re not sleepy anymore?”

“No, Twilight”, replied Luna.

Twilight was safer. She smiled and her ears brightened, “ok, Luna. Would you like to eat something before we go?”

“Yes, Twilight”, answered Luna.

“Can I make a suggestion, Luna?” asked Celestia with a smile.

Luna and Twilight looked at Celestia, “what’s your suggestion, sister?”

“Pancakes! Already have one for you anyway”, replied Celestia with a big smile.

Twilight Sparkle smiled when Celestia had said pancakes. She loved pancakes. When she was a filly, she ate Celestia’s pancakes for breakfast, “maybe that’s how my love for pancakes came about”, Twilight Sparkle told to herself.

Luna and Celestia raised an eyebrow “what you said, Twilight?” asked Celestia.

Twilight Sparkle noticed that the princess heard what she said, she smiled nervously, “n-nothing, princess”

When Luna, Celestia and Twilight arrived in the dining room, Luna walked over to where she sat and saw that it already had a pancake on the table. The night princess realized that it had a face on the pancakes. Luna smiled before starting to eat. Celestia and Twilight watched Luna eat.

When Luna finished eating, she unintentionally belched, “sorry”

“You’re sorry”, said Celestia with a smile.

Celestia, Luna and Twilight went to a balcony before throwing themselves off to start flapping their wings. First was Celestia, then Luna, and lastly, Twilight. Seeing that all were well, they began to fly toward the Ponyville Forest.

Celestia looked at Twilight, “so, Twilight. How are your days in Ponyville?”

Twilight Sparkle smiled as she looked at Celestia, “It’s very good, princess”

“Any news?” asked Luna, now curious.

Twilight Sparkle thought before answering, “no. But had once that I was able to read a thousand page book in one day”, replied Twilight Sparkle with a smile. Luna smiled at that.

“Look. We have arrived. Let’s land”, said Celestia, now pointing to the forest. Twilight, Celestia and Luna began to descend to the floor.

When they reached the floor, the two princesses looked at Twilight, “ready, Twilight?”

“Wait, princess. I’d like to see if I have everything needed for research”, replied Twilight Sparkle, before taking off her backpack and starting to check if she had everything she needed for the research.

Twilight began to pull three books out of her backpack. One book talked about what you could find in a forest, another said how you survived in a forest, and the other talked about precious things. She also brought an apple for her, Luna and Celestia to eat. Twilight Sparkle put it all back in the bag before looking back at the two princesses, “It’s all here. Come on”, she said before she started walking. Celestia and Luna followed Twilight.

It’s been a few hours and they are still in the woods. Luna just realized she didn’t ask why they were going in the woods, “Twilight”, she began.

Twilight glanced back as she continued walking, “What’s up, Luna?”

“Why did we come to the forest?” asked Luna.

Twilight Sparkle realized that she didn’t say, “oh my Celestia! I forgot to say. Sorry”, she said desperately.

“It’s okay, Twilight. I’m not mad at you”, said Luna with a smile.

Twilight Sparkle seemed quieter, “thank you, Luna. Well, we came here because I read it in a book, and it’s one of the books I brought that said that Everfree Forest had a mysterious artifact, and I’d like to get it to study it”, she said with a smile.

Luna seemed unsure what Twilight said, “Don’t you think it’s dangerous to mess with the unknown?”

“What? Luna, I won’t mess with the unknown. I just want to get him to study him to know what this artifact does”, replied Twilight Sparkle.

Luna didn’t seem to accept it, “but what if this artifact is evil. Twilight? I may not be Celestia and I may not be so close to you, but I worry about you too”

“I know, Luna. But I need to understand about this artifact. I need to know what he does”, said Twilight Sparkle, before looking back.

Luna glanced sideways with a little fear. Luna feared that something bad would happen to Twilight if her friend touched this artifact. While Celestia felt the opposite of Luna, she trusted Twilight and knew that if something happened, her most faithful former student would be able to solve the problem.

“Princesses! I found the artifact!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle as she pointed to a sapphire blue artifact. The artifact was in the shape of the dog Anubis fused with the Bastet.

Luna and Celestia slowly approached the artifact before taking the artifact with their spells. Luna didn’t know if something should happen, “was something supposed to happen?”

“I don’t think so, Luna. But thanks for coming with me here, ”replied Twilight Sparkle with a smile before she got sad. “I just hope I didn’t get in the way of any real duty from both of you”

“Don’t worry, Twilight. We will always have time for you”, said Celestia.

Twilight Sparkle smiled, “So I get safer. Well, I better get back to Ponyville”, she said, before she started walking.

Celestia and Luna left for Ponyville. But suddenly they heard the sound of something breaking. The two princesses looked down and saw Twilight Sparkle lying on the floor with her belly on the floor, her ears were down, her eyes were opening and the artifact broke, from inside a blue mist and an orange fire left inside. Twilight stood on the floor and looked worriedly up, “princesses! Watch out!”

Celestia and Luna saw the blue haze and orange fire approach them. The two fled sideways. Celestia fled to the right and Luna to the left. They were trying to not get caught while Twilight Sparkle was shooting at the things that were trying to get the princesses. In the sky, Luna and Celestia were not realizing they were about to collide, and when they collided. They screamed, but kept flying. Both put a hoof on their heads from the pain, their eyes were closed and their mouths formed a small O. But what they didn’t realize was that the fire and mist were fast approaching. Twilight Sparkle was startled, “princesses! Watch out!!”

But it was no use as the princesses opened their eyes to the fog and fire grabbed Luna and Celestia. Twilight Sparkle watched in fear of what might happen. Suddenly there was a flash. Twilight had to close her eyes and cover her face with a hoof. As she did so, the white glow slowly fell to the floor. When Twilight no longer felt the glow, she took the shell off her face and opened her eyes. But she was shocked by what she saw. She saw Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker were fused. The Tailândia, wings, heads, hooves were separated and Daybreaker’s Cutie Mark was next to Nightmare Moon’s Cutie Mark. Summing up, one body part was from Nightmare Moon and another from Daybreaker, except Cutie Mark of the two that were together.

Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker stood up and looked at each other before realizing that they were fused. While Daybreaker was still looking at what had happened, Nightmare Moon looked toward Twilight with a glare.
“What did you do to me, foal?!” The mare of darkness demanded.

Twilight was surprised at what happened to the two sisters before answering Nightmare Moon’s question.
“It was the artifact. There was a mist and a fire that came out of it and did this to you two.” The lavender alicorn replied.

“Fix it then! I don’t want to be merged with my callous sister!” exclaimed Nightmare Moon, now pointing at Daybreaker. Daybreaker stopped what she was doing, looked at Nightmare Moon and smiled.

Daybreaker laughed, “Do you really think she’ll listen to you? She would never hear a spoiled mare like you”

Nightmare Moon glared at Daybreaker, “Don’t call me spoiled!”

“Silence!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle.

Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon looked at Twilight. Daybreaker smiled, liking how Twilight got her sister to be quiet while Nightmare Moon was annoyed at being interrupted.
“Don’t interrupt me, you foal!” Nightmare Moon growled. “You caused this, and now you are going to have to fix it!”

Twilight Sparkle sighed, “ok. I will fix it. But remember, I’m not doing this for you, I’m doing this for Celestia”

Nightmare Moon was annoyed when Twilight said the last five words, while Daybreaker laughed madly, “See, sister? She prefers me over you!”

“Well, you’re right,” agreed Twilight Sparkle with a smile. “But I prefer when you’re not evil”

Nightmare Moon rolled her eyes at that. She couldn’t stand the fact that Twilight Sparkle was loyal to Celestia. Though Twilight admired the night sky, it made her happy, but the fact that Twilight wasn’t loyal to her bothered Nightmare Moon a lot.

“Twilight”, began Daybreaker.

Twilight Sparkle looked at Daybreaker, “yes, Princess Celestia?”

“Please, call me Daybreaker. That old name of mine is too weak for a beautiful princess like me”, replied Daybreaker.

Twilight Sparkle looked uncertain. She didn’t know if she would make it. She never imagined that Celestia, at least now known as Daybreaker, wanted to be called that. But if that’s what Daybreaker wanted, she would try, “I’ll try, princess”, Twilight Sparkle bowed. Nightmare Moon rolled her eyes while Daybreaker smiled.

“Well, you two better follow me. I’m going to my castle library to research this artifact”, said Twilight Sparkle, before starting to walk.

Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker followed. Daybreaker was smiling, she always liked Twilight, while Nightmare Moon felt just the opposite. Nightmare Moon didn’t want to follow this cheeky foal. But she was fused with Daybreaker, what else could she do?

When they arrived in Ponyville, it was late afternoon. The ponies ran out seeing Daybreaker, but mostly Nightmare Moon. Daybreaker was smiling at the screams. Daybreaker always loved when the ponies feared her. While Nightmare Moon was a little uncomfortable, especially because the foals were running away from her, because she always had a fondness for foals. Even if Nightmare Moon had won upon her return, she would find a way that none of her subjects would die without the sun. Unlike Daybreaker, who didn’t care about anypony but herself, maybe just with Twilight.

Nightmare Moon heard the sound of a door opening she realized that they were in a crystal castle. Nightmare Moon had never seen any crystal castle. She didn’t like the castle so much because it didn’t have similar colors at night. Daybreaker watched what the castle looked that she liked it because of it had light colors. They smelled pancakes. Nightmare Moon didn’t look happy about it, she never liked pancakes, while Daybreaker loved pancakes. Daybreaker was flying fast to where the smell was coming from, and Nightmare was fighting to not fall, because she was being pulled. Twilight Sparkle was fighting to not laugh, she knew Daybreaker was Celestia but she never imagined that even Celestia being in that form would continue to love pancakes. Well, she should have expected it.

It’s been a few hours, and Twilight Sparkle was in her library looking for books that talked about the artifact she found, and at the moment, she found nothing. She was already starting to panic. In a few hours it will be night and she didn’t find nothing, “Twilight? Are you alright?”

Twilight Sparkle looked back and saw that it was Spike, “no. I’m not well”

Spike was running until Twilight, “what’s wrong?”

“Spike, I think I made the biggest mistake of my life”, answered Twilight Sparkle.

“But what mistake?” wanted to know Spike.

“Did you see that Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker were more or less fused?” asked Twilight Sparkle.

“Yes. And I couldn’t help noticing that this is weird”, replied Spike, now looking back and pointing to the door. In the background, Nightmare Moon was trying to read, but Daybreaker was disturbing her. Nightmare Moon wasn’t happy at all.

“So, I guess I unintentionally broke an artifact and it made Luna and Celestia become Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker,” Twilight Sparkle was trying not to cry for Celestia’s new name. “And I need to find the cure before dawn”

“But why before dawn?” asked Spike, now curious.

“Don’t you see, Spike? Nightmare Moon will probably refuse to lower the moon,” replied Twilight Sparkle. “She will try to bring eternal night again!”

“How horrible! What are we going to do?!” asked Spike, now scared.

“You need to help me find out about the artifact and how to undo fusion”, said Twilight Sparkle.

“Ok. Let’s go”, said Spike, now ready to start researching.

Meanwhile, Nightmare Moon was still trying to read the book, but Daybreaker kept taking her concentration off by talking about how she was better, beautiful than Nightmare Moon. Nightmare Moon couldn’t take it anymore. She swore that if Daybreaker said a comment about the day being better than the night, she would punch Daybreaker with her only front hoof.

“Can you stop talking for a minute?” asked Nightmare Moon, already annoyed.

Daybreaker laughed, “Why should I? You’re not the big sister to rule me. I’m the older sister, so I’m the one to rule you”

Nightmare Moon made a grumpy face, “I hate you”

“I love you too, sister”, said Daybreaker with a smile.

It’s been a few hours, and it’s supposed to be morning Twilight and Spike haven’t found a book about the artifact yet, “It’s not possible. I searched every book and found nothing”, she said.

“Maybe you didn’t look right”, suggested Spike.

Twilight glanced at Spike, “I’ve searched every book, Spike. And look, I’ve read every word carefully. But Faust isn’t helping me find this book”

“Have you searched the books you put in your backpack?” asked Spike.

“Yes. But the book I read about the artifact wasn’t in the backpack. And look, I know every story of the books that we have in the castle”, replied Twilight Sparkle.

“Where did you find the book?” asked Spike.

Twilight Sparkle put her hoof on her chin in thought, “Hm. I think it was in a Ponyville library”

“Do you even know the name of the book?” asked Spike.

Twilight smiled, “Yes, Spike. It’s called: “Artifacts, Charms, and other enchanted objects”

“Wait. Artifact isn’t even an enchanted object”, said Spike.

“Yeah. But he might come up with something inside. Which is where Celestia is now Luna became Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon, that’s also why they are fuised”, explained Twilight Sparkle.

“Would you like me to come along? I can help you find this book of yours”, Spike offered with a smile.

Twilight Sparkle smiled, “That’s very kind of you, Spike. But somepony has to stay here and watch Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon”

“Yeah. You’re right, Twilight”, agreed Spike.

“Well, I better get going. Probably Nightmare Moon didn’t even lower the moon, so I have to be quick before the plants, trees and ponies die out of the sun”, said Twilight Sparkle before rushing to the front door. She opened it with her magic, go out and closed the door. Spike thought to looking for Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon to see what they were doing. Spike just hoped they weren’t fighting while he was talking to Twilight.

Meanwhile, outside, Twilight Sparkle looked up at the sky and realized it was still night. She was worried, it was about seven o’clock in the morning, and was still at night. She needed to find the book that spoke of the artifact quickly or else Equestria will not survive an eternal night. The more she looked up at the sky, the more Twilight feared that she couldn’t separate Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker and make the two evil alicorns no longer be the two princesses of Equestria. She tried to take a deep breath to calm down, because she was too nervous because she feared to disappoint Equestria, and especially her former mentor.

As much as Twilight Sparkle wanted to deny it, she knew Daybreaker was indeed Celestia. She never imagined that Celestia had an evil side like Luna. Ever since Twilight learned that Nightmare Moon was actually Luna, she thought that Luna was the only one of the princesses who could turn into an evil dark alicorn. Daybreaker was not even a dark alicorn. Daybreaker was actually an alicorn of the flames. But one Twilight thing knew, she would need a psychologist to recover after finding out that Celestia also has an evil side. Since Twilight met Celestia, she had seen Celestia as a benevolent princess who would never become evil, unlike Luna who in fact became Nightmare Moon and planned to cause eternal night.

Twilight Sparkle realized she arrived at the library, she entered the library looking for the book. She walked over to the yellow-eyed unicorn mare reading a book, “hello. Good Morning. I was wondering if you have the book called: Artifacts, Amulets and Other Enchanted Objects”

The female unicorn looked up from the book, “I’ll see. Follow me,” she climbed out of her chair, left the book she was reading on the table, and left to look for the book. Twilight followed her.

Twilight Sparkle stared at the admired library. She never went to this library. The only library she went to was the one she lived in before being destroyed by Lord Tirek: The Golden Oka’s Tree Library. Just remembering it made her cry, but she fought to not cry.

The mare took a ladder and went upstairs to search for the book Twilight Sparkle wanted until she finally found, “I found, Miss…?”

“Twilight Sparkle”, said Twilight Sparkle her name.

“... Miss Twilight Sparkle,” finished the mare, now handing the book over to Twilight. Twilight picked up the book with her magic before going to a table to read. Meanwhile, the mare who helped Twilight returned to where she was.

Twilight Sparkle read the book’s title just to make sure, “Artifacts, Charms, and Other Enchanted Objects”, seeing that she had the right book, Twilight opened the book with her magic.

She saw in the summary what page the artifact might be on. And the summary was quite large. She read each word carefully, hoping to not miss a word and phrase from her over-focused and watchful eyes. Until she finally found out about the artifact. In the summary it was written: Artifact Anubis and Bastet. She realized it was on the page two hundred thirty-five. Twilight went to the page and when she arrived she saw the photo of the artifact, the same artifact that Twilight unintentionally dropped to the floor and it broke it. Twilight didn’t even know if she would have to reassemble the artifact, if so, she would have to hope to Faust that she could find the pieces of the artifact in the forest. She started reading about the artifact.

Anubis and Bastet Artifact: This is a very rare artifact. They say that within the artifact there are two entities of negative emotions, but to this day, it isn’t known whether it is true or not.

Twilight Sparkle was curious. So this artifact was a legend? A pony’s tale? Like the tale of the Mare on the Moon? She decided to read again to see if she had anything else.

Note: If any pony or creature actually encounters this artifact, the pony should NEVER drop it or the potential entities living within the artifact will enter two ponies that have suffered in the past and would fusion. But if it really does happen, the only solution is to wait two days to pass. If two days went by, both entities would leave the ponies and live elsewhere. Because as entities, they feed negative energy very quickly, when well fed, they leave the two ponies and go looking for two more ponies to feed.

Twilight Sparkle was surprised and worried at the same time. So doesn’t it means that the two entities that are on the princesses will leave only when two days pass? Although a day had passed, now that day was over, and then everything would be back to normal. But that wasn’t the price to blame was. What worried her was that all the ponies died without the sun. The ponies have already been sunless one day, can you imagine they are sunless for another day? The plants wouldn’t survive, the body temperature of the ponies would fall. She just hoped that Daybreaker would do something about it. Because as Nightmare Moon wants eternal night, she won’t lower the moon.

Twilight Sparkle looked at the book. She smiled at the book. Until she enjoyed reading. She intended to read this book at home, as much as she wanted to read in the library, Twilight had to warn Spike. She took the book with her magic, got up and went to the same mare that helped her find the book, “I’ll take this one”

The mare took her eyes off the book, took the book with her magic, opened the book on the last page, took a stamp and stamped it, meaning that Twilight could take the book home to read, “here it is, Miss Twilight Sparkle. Just don’t forget to return next week”

Twilight Sparkle smiled, “Don’t worry. I will not forget”

Spike was keeping company for Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker. He was telling about the story of his life, “... And this is the story of my whole life”

Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker were bored. They really didn’t understand why Spike wanted to tell his life. Was they supposed to be entertained? Or was it just a Twilight trick to distract them? Until they heard the sound of a door opening and closing. Spike, Nightmare Moon, and Daybreaker looked back and saw Twilight Sparkle with a book in its bag, and the book was pretty heavy. Twilight Sparkle was tired of carrying the book. Spike went to Twilight, “Twilight! You came!”

Twilight looked at Spike, “hello, Spike. I brought the book and it’s very big”

“Want some help?” offered Spike.

“He’s very heavy, Spike,” punctuated Twilight Sparkle. “Are you sure you want to take him to the castle library? Won’t you find it heavy for you?”

“It’s hort to try”, replied Spike with a smile.

Twilight Sparkle grinned before grabbing the book from her backpack, “ok. Here is the book. Leave it on the couch. I intend to read it later”, said Twilight Sparkle and she handed the book to Spike, who was pawing to put something in his paws. Spike almost fell to the ground because of the weight. But his managed to steady hisself and went to where the couch was. Twilight Sparkle decided to follow him.

“So? What was it like with Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker?” wanted to know Twilight Sparkle with a smile.

Spike continued to look ahead, but answered the question, “Nightmare Moon spent most of her time reading and Daybreaker kept interrupting her. Nightmare Moon was already getting more than annoyed. So I decided to stop the fight that would start”, he said.

Twilight Sparkle was curious, “How did you stop the fight that was going to start?”

“I stopped the fight that would start by telling the story of my life”, replied Spike.

Twilight Sparkle was startled, “you what?! Why did you tell them the story of your life? What if Nightmare Moon uses this to her advantage? What if you stand by her?”

Spike was surprised by Twilight’s reaction, “Twilight, calm down”, he asked.

Twilight Sparkle closed her eyes, inhaled and breathed in the hope of calming down. When she finished she looked at Spike with regret, “Spike. I’m so sorry”

Spike smiled, “No problem, Twilight”

Spike then remembered something, “So? Did you find what was written?”

“It was written that the name of the artifact is Artifact Anubis and Bastet: It is a very rare artifact. It is said that within the artifact there are two negative emotion entities, it was written that it isn’t known whether it is true or not”, replied Twilight Sparkle.

Spike was surprised, “so what was written about not knowing if it’s true was proven to be true”

“Yes, Spike. But that’s not the worst part”, said Twilight Sparkle.

Spike was curious, “what’s the worst part?”

“The two entities would only leave after two days. You know what that means, right?” said Twilight Sparkle.

Spike thought. But he couldn’t come up with what could happen, “I don’t know. What could happen?”

“We’ll have eternal night for two days!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle in fright. She wasn’t afraid of the dark, she was afraid of all her friends disappearing because of Nightmare Moon.

“But it’s been a day since we stayed with Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon here”, said Spike.

“Yes, Spike. But I’m afraid this eternal night will end Equestria, ”said Twilight Sparkle. “We need to ask Nightmare Moon to lower the moon”

“Do you think she’ll listen to you?” asked Spike.

“She’ll have to listen to me. Like it or not”, answered Twilight Sparkle.

Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker were watching the night sky. Nightmare Moon couldn’t fail to notice that the ponies were enjoying the eternal night. Nightmare Moon smiled. In the past, her subjects didn’t even stay up at night. But now, times have changed. And now, the ponies were awake during her beautiful night.

“Really, sister? Do you really think the ponies enjoy your scary night?” asked Daybreaker.

Nightmare Moon’s smile fell. It was from a smile to an angry face, “they prefer my day to your dark night”, said Daybreaker.

Nightmare Moon intended to shoot to Daybreaker. She charged her magic and shot Daybreaker. Daybreaker screamed and fell to the floor of Twilight’s bedroom. Nightmare Moon fell to the bedroom floor too, “this is for you insulting my night”

They heard the sound of a door opening and saw Twilight and Spike. Twilight Sparkle walked up to both alicorns in an unhappy way, while Spike seemed a little unsure. Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker stood up, “Nightmare Moon, we need to talk”

“What do you want, foal?” asked Nightmare Moon, not at all pleased.

“You need to lower the moon and allow the dawn”, answered Twilight Sparkle.

“Why should I? The ponies are enjoying staying awake in my eternal night,” said Nightmare Moon, not to the least pleased. “You’re one of those ponies who just want Celestia and her wonderful day”

“Don’t you realize what your eternal night is going to cause to Equestria? Without the sun, the ponies will no longer exist”, said Twilight Sparkle.

“Do you think I don’t know? Of course I know. I intend to cast a spell on the moon, allowing the moon to transmit the same energy as the sun”, said Nightmare Moon.

“You can’t and will never rule Equestria!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle, already getting annoyed.

Nightmare Moon was annoyed, “Don’t be rude to your princess!”

“You’re not a princess to me, Nightmare Moon!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle, now with her wings spread.

“How dare you?!” Nightmare Moon growled, firing a damage spell at Twilight. But Twilight used magic to conjure a shield in front of herself.

When Nightmare Moon stopped the spell, Twilight deactivated her shield spell. “You need to lower the moon!”

“I will not. I’m going to put a spell that allows the moon to bring the same energy as the sun”, said Nightmare Moon.

“You won’t!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle.

“Yes, I will. And you won’t stop me!” exclaimed Nightmare Moon.

“Celes… I mean, Daybreaker! Stop her!” asked Twilight Sparkle.

Daybreaker laughed, “Why should I?”

Twilight Sparkle certainly didn’t expect this answer, “because without sun, Equestria will be out of balance”

Daybreaker laughed, “who needs balance when you can have everything?” she laughed again.

Twilight Sparkle was surprised and scared. Celestia couldn’t mean that, “Daybreaker, you can’t mean that. I know you’re not evil”

Spike entered the room and saw Twilight arguing with Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker. He got in the middle of the fight, “please stop fighting”

Twilight was sorry, “I’m so sorry, Spike,” she looked at Nightmare Moon. “So? Are you going to lower the moon? ”

“No”, said Nightmare Moon.

Twilight Sparkle got annoyed and hit the floor, “but for the love of Faust! Why are you so stubborn?!”

“You’re being stubborn for not accepting my idea”, replied Nightmare Moon.

“And why should I accept? This won’t work!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle. “It is scientifically impossible for the moon to transmit the same energy as the sun!”

“Why don’t you give it a try?!” exclaimed Nightmare Moon.

Suddenly Nightmare Moon realized that she was arguing with Twilight about whether she could make the moon transmit the same energy as the sun. It was like when a foal asked to his mother if he could stay up late at night and the mother said “no”, but her son insisted, but the mare didn’t change her mind. Nightmare Moon couldn’t help but notice that this was very silly of her. Why was she doing this? She was an Equestria princess, she could do whatever she wanted.

“Wants to know? I got tired. I don’t even know why I kept talking instead of acting. I am an Equestria princess and I will do that”, said Nightmare Moon, before setting the spell.

“You won’t!” Twilight Sparkle attacked Nightmare Moon with her magic.

Nightmare Moon screamed in pain. She glared at Twilight, “How dare you, foal?!” she attacked Twilight Sparkle with her magic. But Twilight Sparkle has put up a shield.

Now Twilight Sparkle and Nightmare Moon were glaring at each other and were preparing damage spells. But they suddenly heard a familiar voice, “This is so much fun to watch”

Nightmare Moon and Twilight Sparkle looked where the sound came from and saw Discord floating in the air with a bag of popcorn, “Discord! Where did you come from?” asked Twilight Sparkle.

“I was taking a walk around Ponyville and I heard your voice and Luna’s”, replied Discord.

Nightmare Moon was annoyed, “I’m Nightmare Moon, fool!”

Discord just realized now that Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker were fused, “Twilight, why are Luna and Celestia merged?”

“Celestia and Luna went to Everfree Forest looking for an artifact and when I found it, I intended to take it to Ponyville to study it, but I stumbled, fell to the ground and the artifact broke, freeing two entities that now are in Celestia and Luna”, replied Twilight Sparkle.

“But how did they fused? Did they dance and then fusied?” asked Discord.

“No. The entities must have come together, resulting in that”, replied Twilight Sparkle.

“And how long will they be like this?” asked Discord.

“Up to two days. But it’s been a day, there’s only twenty-four more hours left and then the entities will let the princesses free”, replied Twilight Sparkle, already getting tired of Discord.

“Would you like me to speed up the time?” offered Discord.

“Better not. If we do that, it will have consequences”, answered Twilight Sparkle.

Discord couldn’t stand this organized Twilight way, “well, I’m going. Fluttershy must be waiting for me already and she must be worried about me for not coming home”, said that, he snapped his fingers, a white glow appeared. The ponies and the castle dragon had to close their eyes, when they opened their eyes, Discord was no longer there.

“Ok. That was unexpected”, was all that even Twilight Sparkle had in mind to say about what just happened.

Twilight Sparkle looked at Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker, “This will be the last time that I will ask: Will you lower the moon?”

“I will not. And so you know, while you and Discord were talking, I was putting the spell on the moon, and now the moon will transmit the same energy as the sun forever!” Nightmare Moon began to laugh malignantly.

Twilight Sparkle couldn’t believe it. She failed with Equestria. Spike went over to Twilight Sparkle, “hey, Twilight. Don’t be sad. I’m sure the spell Nightmare Moon has put on the moon won’t be so bad”

Twilight glanced at Spike, “Spike, why are you supporting her? Don’t you realize that without sun you will no longer have life in Equestria?”

“Twilight, I know that. But try to believe that Nightmare Moon won’t do any harm to Equestria”, said Spike.

“Finally somepony which understands that sees me as a misunderstood pony than a evil and heartless mare”, said Nightmare Moon with relief.

“No use denying it, sister. The ponies are afraid of you. Everypony is afraid of you. The foals are afraid of you because you have fangs and not normal teeth and they think you eat them”, said Daybreaker.

“Stop saying that!” said Nightmare Moon, annoyed on the outside and sad on the inside. From her eyes, tears came.

Twilight Sparkle couldn’t believe that Nightmare Moon was crying. She never imagined that her enemy would cry. She always saw Nightmare Moon as a monster who didn’t care about the ponies and just wanted to cast eternal night so that all the ponies died. While Spike was feeling sorry for Nightmare Moon.

Nightmare Moon lay on the floor to cry, as she and Daybreaker were still merged, Daybreaker was also lying on the floor. Daybreaker continued to speak ill of Nightmare Moon. Twilight Sparkle didn’t know why, but she wanted to comfort Nightmare Moon. But she feared that if she did, Celestia, also known as Daybreaker now, would be disappointed that Twilight was comforting a villain. What they didn’t know was that the pointer clock in Twilight Sparkle’s room marked midnight. Twilight Sparkle felt a white glow in Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker. She had to close her eyes and cover her face with her hoof. As the glow faded, Twilight Sparkle and Spike opened their eyes, she took the hoof off her face and Spike her paw and saw that instead of Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker, now were Luna and Celestia. Luna was crying Celestia remembered all the bad things she said to Luna and that made her sad, she was hugging her sister.

“Luna, please. Don’t Cry. I’m so sorry for what I said. I didn’t want to say any of that”, said Celestia, now with tears in her eyes. Twilight Sparkle was sad to see her former mentor crying.

Luna opened her eyes but still had tears in her eyes, “you meant yes, sister. You were smiling to see me suffer”

“I meant nothing of that. I’m sure it was those entities that made me say that”, said Celestia through her tears.

“Sister, why did I act like Nightmare Moon?” asked Luna through her tears. “I even tried to cause eternal night for the third time. I even put a spell on the moon to give the same energy as the sun gave”

“Can you undo the spell, Luna?” asked Celestia.

“Yes. But at the moment, I don’t think I can make it”, answered Luna.

Celestia lifted Luna’s chin and wiped Luna’s tears, “there, there, Luna. When you feel better, you do it”

Celestia looked forward and saw Twilight Sparkle with tears in her eyes while looking at Celestia, “Twilight, are you ok?”

Twilight Sparkle wiped her tears with her hoof, “yes, princess. Don’t worry”

Celestia looked at Spike, and saw that he was crying a little, “are you ok, Spike?”

Spike looked at Celestia, “Yes, Celestia. It’s just that I found this scene sad to see”

“Would you like me to do something to make you feel better?” asked Celestia with a smile.

“No, Celestia. I plan to spend time with Owlowiscious to cheer me up before I go to sleep”, replied Spike.

“Okay, Spike. Well, I’m going”, said Celestia before rising from the floor. Luna got up too, but sadly.

The two princesses stepped out onto the balcony and flew to Canterlot. Twilight Sparkle and Spike watched Celestia and Luna disappear from the sky.
