Shrill & Trill
Warzone
Previous ChapterNext ChapterCars swerved and crashed into each other when the Daemons’ car exploded in a ball of fire. With the road now blocked with cars, Cherry got out of her van and pulled out a cherry bomb. Once she lit it, she chucked it as hard as she could. It bounced and rolled under one of the cars before exploding. The cars around burst into flames and also exploded.
Shrill covered Coco the whole time just in case debris flew at them. Once the explosions ceased, Shrill stumbled to her feet and helped Coco up. The doors behind them burst open as Soarin and Misty came out, guns drawn.
“What the fuck happened?!” Misty yelled over the chaos.
“First our car exploded,” Shrill explained. “Then all the cars exploded!”
“Cherry’s here,” Soarin muttered. “But, why?”
Shrill gasped and looked at Coco, holding her by the shoulders. “She wants Coco.”
Misty looked down the road to see a police cruiser approaching. “Must be Sun Chaser and Lightning Streak,” she said before pulling out her radio. “Sun Chaser, it’s Misty Fly. Stay alert. Cherry Bomb’s here.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Sun responded.
The light cyan mare put the radio away as Lightning Streak looked ahead at the fire. “Wh-What the hell?” He asked. “Are we prepared for this?”
“We’ll have to be,” Sun answered as they drove past the alley with Cherry’s van.
Misty suddenly heard something land behind her and looked to see a small red orb sitting by the front doors. “Shit,” she gasped, before she dove into Soarin, knocking him down as the bomb exploded.
Shrill and Coco helped the two up as the stone archway above the doors to the police station crumbled and collapsed. The explosion shook the police station as the cops inside braced themselves.
“Sounds like a war zone out there,” Thunderlane said as he ran to the front door. The doors themselves were gone and instead there was a pile of stone and concrete blocking the exit. “Everyone out the back!” He yelled.
Holly and Joy aimed their guns at the wheels of Sun Chaser’s car and fired. The wheels popped as the car swerved and crashed into one of the flaming vehicles. Sun Chaser and Lightning Streak scrambled to get out of the car as fast as they could. Just as they did, the car caught on fire and exploded, knocking them away from the burning wreckage. Both tumbled across the sidewalks and lay still.
“Think they’re dead?” Holly asked.
Joy thought for a moment before she chuckled. “Hey. You wanna really impress Cherry?”
Holly eyed the cops before looking at Joy again. “Any more than killing two cops?”
Joy nodded quickly. “Oh, yeah.”
Cherry watched the cops pour out of the police station from her position on the roof of the building next door. “Fuckin’ idiots, am I right?” She asked Salt and Pepper, who were squatted behind her. She then held up her hand, a cherry bomb between each finger. “Let’s finish this,” she said as she threw the bombs into the battlefield.
Chaos erupted as all the bombs went off. Rubble and wreckage flew everywhere. The ponies caught in the middle of it all scattered every which way. Most of Cherry’s crew managed to pull out just in time while the cops tried not to get blown up. When the explosions stopped, the entire intersection and in front of the police station was on fire.
Shrill looked around and coughed. “Coco?” She asked worriedly. “Coco!”
Misty and Soarin got to their feet and began looking around for the fashionista. “Shit,” Misty muttered. “She must’ve gotten scared and bolted.”
“We have to find her!” Soarin exclaimed as he started to run into the fire.
Coco looked around the burning wreckage around her, trying to find the way out. She coughed and stumbled around, using her arm to shield her eyes from the heat. There was another explosion nearby that made her squeak in fright. When she moved around a burning car, she saw Meadow stumbling towards her.
“Coco?” Meadow asked.
Coco took another step forward before she saw Cherry drop down behind the pegasus. Cherry then pulled out a knife and reached around to stab the cop in the stomach. Coco went wide-eyed as Meadow grunted in pain, blood staining her uniform.
Coco heard something behind her and whipped around to see Thunderlane approaching, his gun raised. Just as Coco was about to move aside, Salt tackled the stallion and bit into his neck. Before the wolf could tear a chunk of meat out, Coco ran over and shoved her off with a fierce yell.
“Just run, Coco,” Thunderlane gasped, holding his bleeding neck.
The mare whimpered and looked over at Meadow. The pegasus smiled weakly and nodded. Sobbing heavily, Coco turned and ran away. Cherry pulled the knife from the cop’s stomach and pushed her over. As Salt was about to resume her meal, Cherry spoke up.
“Let them bleed out,” she ordered. “Just get Coco.”
Coco ran into an alley as a car nearby exploded. She let out a scream and covered her head as she ran deeper into the darkness. The only light was from the fires in the street. The mare leaned forward, hands on knees, and breathed heavily. When the realization of what happened finally hit her, her eyes filled with tears and she began to openly weep.
“So, this is where you ended up,” came a familiar voice from the entrance to the alley. Coco gasped and looked over to see Cherry Bomb with her two wolf friends. “Oh, please no,” she gasped and backed up against the brick wall.
“You just can’t help getting in trouble, can you?” Cherry cooed darkly. “Shit, girl, if you ain’t a glutton for fuckin’ punishment, I don’t know what is.”
“Y-You can l-let me go,” Coco shuddered. “I-I won’t s-say anything.”
“I don’t expect you to,” Cherry said as she stepped up to the scared mare. She then reached over Coco’s shoulders to place her hands on the wall. “But, I don’t need you alive to send a message.”
“M-Message?”
Cherry nodded. “That, if they fuck with me, I’ll kill someone close to them. That should keep them in line, right?”
She chuckled and backed away before she snapped her fingers. Coco stared in horror as the two were-mares bounced up to her. She let out a cry and dropped to her knees as she came face-to-face with the furry mares. Pepper smirked and opened her mouth to reveal rows of sharp teeth.
“W-Wait, this is a mistake!” Coco yelled. “This will only make it worse for you!” She added quickly as she closed her eyes, waiting for the bite.
When it didn’t happen, she opened one eye to see the feral mares staring at her. They then looked back at Cherry, who was coming closer.
“Explain,” Cherry ordered as she crossed her arms.
“D-Dusk likes me,” Coco explained. “So do Shrill and Trill. Killing me will only make them more likely to hunt you down.”
Cherry chuckled and kicked a small pebble. “You wanna be a hostage again? You get off on that shit, or somethin’?”
“N-No, I just… I-I don’t w-wanna die. E-Especially, not like this.”
Cherry looked over the mare’s tear-stained face and smiled. “Oh, you’re a fragile little thing, aren’t ya?” She then walked around Salt and knelt beside Coco. “But, as you can see, I already have two lovely ladies, so… what use could I possibly have for you?” Pepper’s ears suddenly perked up as she leaned over Coco and whispered something into Cherry’s ear. The white mare grinned and nodded. “Interesting idea.”
“Wh-What?” Asked Coco, extremely nervous what they had planned.
Pepper eyed her before climbing atop her. Coco closed her eyes and looked away as Pepper licked up her neck and cheek.
“Oh, don’t worry, little Coco,” Cherry cooed. “We’re not gonna fuckin’ kill ya. We’re just gonna make you wish you were dead.”
Shrill ran by the alley and came to a hard stop before backtracking. She spotted scratch marks on the ground leading in. As she put the pieces together, Soarin ran over to her.
“What?” He asked. “What is it?”
“She has Coco,” Shrill said sadly.
“What? How can you be…” The stallion started to ask, before Shrill pointed at the scratch marks.
“Why else would her wolves go into an alley with a dead end. Luckily, there’s no blood, so…”
Soarin was about to say something before his phone rang. He let out a grunt of annoyance and answered. “Yeah?”
“What happened to protect and serve?” Asked the caller. “I blew up sooooo much shit and I still got away.”
“Is this Cherry Bomb?” Soarin practically growled. “You fucking bitch. Where’s Coco?!”
“Coco?” Asked Cherry. “Oh, that sweet little thing. She’ll be staying with me until the heat dies down.”
“The heat will never die down,” Soarin spat. “We’ll never stop looking for you.”
“Then, I guess there’s no reason to keep her alive, then. Shame, too. She really is such a sweet fuckin’ thing.”
“No!” Soarin blurted out before exhaling deeply. "How long do you need?"
"Mmm... A week should do nicely."
“Fine. One week. Then, you're dead.”
“Fantastic,” Cherry cooed. “See ya, bitches.” She then hung up without saying anything else.
Soarin let his arm hang limp by his side as he turned and leaned back against the building. “Shit.”
Shrill crossed her arms and thought for a moment. “I propose a truce.”
Soarin eyed her. “I told you. We aren’t working with criminals.”
“I know,” the purple mare sighed. “But we wouldn’t be doing this for each other.”
The stallion gave a light chuckle. “Did you just confess?”
“There are bigger things happening here, Soarin,” Shrill pointed out. “We need to work together to stop Cherry. We have a week to prepare.”
The stallion hesitated in thought before he held up his phone and dialed his boss. “Hello, Misty? You’re not gonna believe what just happened.”
Cherry entered her hideout with the remainder of her crew, her hand firmly grasping Coco by the arm. “All in all, not a terrible loss.”
“We’re down five,” Chains pointed out. "Gorge, Chill, Wrench, Holly, and Joy."
Cherry eyed him before she sighed. However, just as she was about to speak, Holly and Joy entered the building, each dragging a body. “Ah. See? Only down three.” She then noticed who the two were dragging. “Are those what I think they are?”
Holly and Joy dropped the bodies and nodded. “Sun Chaser and Lightning Streak,”
Cherry let go of Coco and walked over to the cops, who were just waking up. When they realized where they were, they wet wide-eyed and quickly looked at the white mare. "Well well well," Cherry cooed. "Ain't this a treat?" She then looked at her wolf friends. "Feel free to eat the stallion. I want the mare alive."
"Pussy's better wet, anyways," Salt pointed out.
"Dick's better either way," Pepper growled before she pounced on Lightning.
The stallion let out a shriek when he felt the wolf's teeth dig into his crotch. Sun screamed before Salt pounced on her, getting face-to-face with her. The white wolf mare was surprisingly strong as Sun Chaser could barely squirm now. All she could do was listen to her partner being eaten alive.
