Chapters Rick Grimes was a sherrif's deputy who had fell in an coma when the plague began and caused an worldwide epidemic and spread throughout the whole country and eventually the world. He had rushed to save his son Carl and wife and daughter Lori and Judith. As life passed, Lori and Judith both died at the hands of the heartless Governor and his men on Woodbury. As life passed more, they had more people such as Maggie Greene, Glenn Rhee, Abraham Ford, Eugene Porter, Hershel Greene and many others.
Rick was as of late mourning his 2nd wife Andrea, having had to put her down when she reanimated and was grieving with his son Carl and even slept near her grave at most nights.
One day, Carl had came to his father with worry
"Dad, I think I found something you should see." Carl said with worry
"What is it son?." Rick said
"Follow me"
Carl led his father to the outside, as they are moving to the location, they were greeted by many citizens in the safe-zone. After a few hours they had managed to reach the location.
Car then revealed to his father an alicorn etched into stone and said "I found this while scouting for walkers"
Rick got a look at it, but the moment he did, the stone alicorn started to glow and suddenly sucked the two in, leaving the citizens unaware of their disappearance.

Rick had woken up and while slowly getting up immidiently noticed something was amiss.
"Carl!?" Rick shouted with worry
The boy in question was slowly getting up and while doing so saw his father and embraced him
"Dad, your ok! and.....Dad, how is your right hand back again?" Carl said with a tone of shock and confusion.
Rick was too confused and immidiently looked down at his right wrist and saw that his right wrist had indeed have his missing right hand which he lost from the monstrous Governor, who met his deserving comeuppance at the hands of an enraged Lily Caul.
"Your right and...,.Carl!.....your eye!.....it's back!" Rick said with an equal tone of confusion and shock
Carl was confused and looked at the stone alicorn statue and saw in his reflection that his face was not only with both his eyes, but there were only minimal scars on his face where his eye was shot.
"But how?" Carl said with a confused tone
Suddenly, father and son began to notice a large number of kids and teens heading into the building behind them, which appeared to look like a high school of some sort. With curious looks, both chose to go inside the building to search for answers and walked through the halls of crowded students for answers. Along their search, nearly half of the students had begin to give shocked or scared looks at the two males, this made sense due to how in their life, they had to never hesitate no matter what the circumstance was, as Rick did with Andrea after the Whisperer war ended and Carl with Josh due to his death at the hands of Alpha. This had made them into battle hardened fighters, as Carl showed with his facial scars and killing of Ben and Rick with his scars,whether emotional or physical, and menacing muscular strength and killing of Dexter and (since she turned) Holly. They eventually reached an office and that said "principals office" and immidiently went in.
There in the office were two woman one was a woman who had pink skin, rainbow hair and the woman near her was a woman who had dark blue like skin and dark moon like hair. They spotted the two and eventually went to them.
The pink skinned woman in rainbow hair said "Can I help you two?"
Rick said " Um were wondering where we are and thought that you could help us"
The rainbow haired woman replied with confusion " Your in Canterlot High, how can you not know that?."
Rick answered "Um well, the city we were in was kind of complicated with its system and I decided that it wasn't a safe place for my family to live in."
The woman in turn responded "I see, and what's this city's name?".
Rick, with a bit of hesitance answered "Atlanta"
The rainbow haired woman typed it into her computer and was surprised "Odd, I found nothing on this Atlanta you speak of."
"That's how messed up I'm talking about" Rick replied
Although suspicious, the woman shrugged it off "I see, but what is your business in this school?"
Rick, with a sudden idea said "I want to enroll my son here."
Carl gave his father a look and whispered "Dad, what are you doing?"
Rick said to the two woman as he and Carl stepped out "Can you give us a moment?"
As the two stepped out the room, Carl turned to face his father with a perplexed face "Dad, what's the matter?"
Rick looked at Carl with an unreadable face and said to his son in an grieving tone "Carl listen, I know it's hard, but this is both our chance to live life like it was supposed to, please son, I know it's hard to accept, but please do this not just for me, but for your mom."
Carl looked at his father with a tearful expression and hugged him and said "Ok dad"
The two smiled at each other and went back in the room with the two woman and Rick had promptly told them their names and successfully convinced them to enroll Carl, secretly hiding who they both were and while this happened Carl was told by the principal his class will start tomorrow and that his schedule will be made. She even introduced herself as Principal Celestia and the dark haired woman introduced herself as Vice-principal Luna. As they went out after their discussion had finished, Rick was able to get an apartment for him and Carl and although not much, they managed to fix it up a bit and even used some money they had to get some appliances for food, phones, cooking, beds and other supplies, with Rick managing to get two beds for him and Carl, byt it was in the same room as Rick's, since there wasnt enough room, but they managed. As Rick was getting ready to sleep, he went to his bed and secretly pulled out a photo of him, Carl, Lori and their newborn daughter Judith, he silently cried as he slowly fell asleep near Carl's bed, where unbeknownst to Rick, Carl was looking at his hat and silently sobbed at how many people they knew had died before they reached this new place.
Chapter 2: A normal life?
Carl had awoken and had saw the alarm clock that said 8:00, he went to his sleeping father to wake him up from his slumber.
Carl shook his father "Dad, wake up."
Rick was still twisting and turning to get more sleep.
Carl shook his father again to wake him up
"Dad, its morning, we have to go to the school" Carl stated to his father
This act finally woke his father up, and he then proceeded to wake up slowly and look at his son with a face of drowsiness.
Rick said to Carl "Well, lets get ready before were late."
The two managed to get ready and changed into new clothes and while doing so Rick found his right robotic hand and Carl with his sunglasses, with one of the lenses blacked out to cover his fatal, brutalized appearance, but left them behind as they no longer had use for them. They managed to get to the school and the moment they got in, a bunch of the students had again began to give shocked or feared looks at father and son, who paid no attention to the looks or comments that came at them (though Carl was a bit uneasy from the looks). They managed to reach Principal Celestia's and Vice-principal Luna's office and saw the two waiting for them.
Celestia, seeing the two had arrived in her office said "You've arrived, I've made your son's schedule for the school year."
She handed the schedule to Carl and it showed this

Ms. Harshwinny Math and Algebra- Room 145 (9:35 AM-11:00 AM)
Lunch (11:10 AM- 11:55 AM)
Coach Spitfire: Phys.Ed- Room 121/Gym (12:05 AM- 2:00 PM)
Free period (2:00 PM- 3:00 PM)
Last period (2:30 PM)
Carl gave a look over at the schedule and nodded with acceptance.
Rick then went to his son and said "Goodbye son, I love you and have fun at your new school."
Carl replied to his father "Thanks dad" and thus Rick left the school and went back to the apartment they both managed to gain
Principal Celestia then told Carl "I'll have Sunset Shimmer escort you to your classes and she should be here right......now."
As if on cue, a girl with bacon like hair and bright sun like skin came in the room. This girl as Carl caught on, was Sunset Shimmer.
Sunset gave a look to Principal Celestia and said "So Principal Celestia, is this the new student?"
Principal Celestia responded "Yes, i would like if you can escort Mr. Carl Grimes to his classes. Miss Shimmer."
Sunset with a look of kindness said "Sure thing, and i'll introduce him to my friends on the way."
The two then left to go to Carl's first class, which was English with Ms. Cheerilee, and as the two walked on to the class, Sunset decided to ask him a few things
"So, where are you from?" She asked in curiosity
Carl with a look of uneasiness, gave a blank, unreadable look to Sunset, which she thought was one of in some level, sadness and said "Somewhere far from here"
"Where, specifically?" Sunset asked
Carl answered "A place i don't want to talk about"
Sunset saw the look on his face and decided to not push any further and they eventually reached the classroom and Carl came in just as it was about to start.
Miss Cheerilee quickly stopped the students chattering or activities and announced to them "Everyone, we have a new student joining with us today, can you please come introduce yourself young man?"
Carl gave a look to the class and then said "Hello everybody, my name is Carl, I'm 16 years old from a city far from here and came to study here as an transfer student."
And with that, he went to his seat, and learned he didn't have a textbook for the class, so Sunset let him borrow her's and the class went on, with some of the students even talking of Carl and when he first came in Canterlot High.
"Isn't that the kid with the bearded old guy?"
"How did he get those scars on his face?"
"And why does he look like he's gonna hurt someone?"
Carl began to give a look of annoyance and discomfort, but decided to not bother with them. After the class ended, Carl's next class was Algebra and Math with Ms. Harshwhinny and although he had done most of the work, he had some trouble with some of the questions, Sunset agreed to tutor him at Ms. Harshwhinny's recommendation. After the class ended, it was lunch, and Sunset guided him to the cafeteria.
"My friends are here too, follow me" Sunset said
She guided to a nearby table and when they reached it there were 5 more girls, one was a girl with rainbow-hair, sky blue skin, a white shirt with a cloud of red, yellow and blue lightning bolt, a blue jacket, two big bracelets, black tights under a pink and white skirt, red, yellow and blue socks and knee high blue and white shoes with white colored laces, the second was a a pink, poofy haired girl with a white shirt with a heart and pink skirt with 3 balloons, one yellow and two blue, the third was a bright yellow skin girl with pink hair in a white tank top shirt, green skirt with pink butterflies, the fourth was a beautiful pale white skin girl with purple curly hair and bright blue shirt and purple skirt with blue diamonds and the fifth was a blond, bright orange skinned girl with freckles and cowboy hat wearing a white and green shirt and blue denim skirt with brown boots with three red apples.
"Hello, darling" the beautiful purple haired one said
The other girls said "Hi Sunset"
They noticed Carl with her and Rainbow Dash asked "Who's this guy?"
Sunset answered "Girls, this is the new student Carl"
Carl in turn said shyly "Hi"
The two then sat down and the girls gave looks at Carl. Applejack with curiosity of his scars, Rarity with horror at his clothes, Fluttershy with fear at his young yet battle-hardened appearance, Pinkie with glee she can throw another party, Rainbow Dash with a scowl and Twilight with shock at his scarred yet physically fine formed face.
"Do you girls mind if he sits with us?" Sunset asked
"Of course, if someone behaves" the girl with the southern accent claimed and said this to the rainbow haired girl who merely huffed in reply. "Oh, by th' way, Ah'm Applejack" she introduced herself.
"Sorry about Rainbow Dash, she's not in...high spirit right now." the pale white girl said
Applejack sternly told her "Rarity, tell him."
"She doesn't trust you." the pale white girl known as Rarity claimed
"Its ok, it's justified since I'm not from here." Carl replied
This statement had left everyone completely dumbfounded.
"Um...Ok.. I suppose." Rarity said
Trying to ease the awkward tension, Sunset suggested " Um, let's just eat now?"
Everyone agreed and they began to eat, yet the girls looked at how fast Carl was eating his lunch and he noticed their looks and said sheepishly " Sorry, it's been a while since I've ate."
"Ya like em?" Applejack asked Carl, and he nodded "My Granny Smith made them, she works here as the school cafeteria's lunch lady and we supply the best apples in Canterlot!" She dug in her bag and pulled out an apple and a bottle of cider "Here, an apple and some of the finest cider from the Apple Family, go ahead and take it, it's yours and on the house!"
Carl heard this and complied, putting them in his bag and said in his thoughts "Thank you (Like Hershel and Maggie.)"
"No problem, sugarcube." Applejack replied
Carl raised an eyebrow in confusion
"That's the nickname for her best friends!" The pink poofy haired girl said
Carl replied "..I see"
Sunset explained "That's Pinkie Pie for you, she believes everyone should be friends."
The bell was going to ring and Carl decided to leave but before he could Celestia and Luna came in.
Celestia said "Having fun I see?"
Chapter 3: leaving it all?
"Well, some of us." Sunset answers, referring to a scowling Rainbow Dash
Vice-principal Luna asked "May we join?"
Sunset nodded and the two step near her and Carl.
"So Sunset, have you learned anything else about Mr. Grimes here?" Celestia asked
"Only that he hasn't eaten in a while and he refers to where he's from as "somewhere far"
"...I understand" Celestia answered
The rest of lunch was spent with the others going at their business and Carl slowly began to feel a bit uneasy, but managed to hide it. After a few minutes, the principal clapped her hands, getting every students attention.
"All right everybody, due to the events yesterday, today is an half-day, so there's no other periods for today."
All the students cheered.
"If your breakfast is done, you can head home, I've informed your parents about yesterday, so anybody with curfews, don't worry."
The students began to leave the school and head home, with each glancing at Carl, leaving Sunset unsettled and uneasy.
"(Please, I'd had to deal with the whole school hating me, don't let it happen to him too.)" Sunset thought.
Celestia asked in a stern manner "Carl, may we speak with you in private?"
Carl, with a little worry answered "OK"
"Aw!, but I didn't get to throw a party for him yet!" Pinkie Pie whined
"Its OK, Pinkie, maybe later" Sunset said
And with that, Carl has left with Celestia and Luna in their office alone. When they reached there, the blinds were closed and the lights were off, the room was dark until Celestia turned the lights on and went to her desk and said to Carl sternly "Mr. Grimes, I've looked through the database and I found absolutely nothing at all on this Atlanta, you and your father spoke of"
Carl gave a look of dismay, yet sweated uncomfortably and quickly said "That's because were transferring since the school system and might I add in my opinion the students were FAR too..."extreme".
Luna gave a look of interest "Meaning?"
Carl looked down with despair and said "Let's just say, their definition of education is not the way you would see it as like I have"
Celestia gave an look of pity and quickly said "I see, well I'm only saying this because I saw you and your father are and might I say, you too look very...."brutalized?".
Carl, unfazed by this statement said "Its OK, we get that alot."
And after a few questions such as what grade he was in and how he managed to pass school, Carl answered honestly, but also dishonestly as well to hide where him and his father were really from and the acts they had to do for saving not just their friends and family, but for themselves. After the school day ended Carl was heading home and managed to assure the girls and Celestia and Luna that despite how young he looked, he would manage and keep himself out of harms way and as he walked his way to the apartment he and his father lived in, he heard a noise coming from the corner and when he went to investigate he saw the girls he met at school being attacked by 6 robbers. Without them noticing and out of fear and rage, he quickly put on one of his outfits he used to fight either walkers or other enemies he had back in his world and the outfit looked as a mixture as if he wore a face mask, hat and full padded armor with an axe on his back holster, and a pistol on the holster on his lower leg with a knife at his other lower hip.
"Alright, you little brats hand over the necklaces!" the leader shouted.
"No!, their ours you ruffians!" Rarity shouted right back.
"Maybe this will change your mind" the one holding Sunset at bay said and aimed his gun at her head and held her hostage.
The one holding Fluttershy said "We're gonna count to 3, if you don't hand them over, you get it!"
"1"
The girls were trying to think of options, but were slowly succumbing to the stress of the situation.
"2..."
"3" Carl said and the moment the robber turned around, Carl instinctively shot him in the head.
"What the?!" the one holding Sunset said
But before the other 5 attackers could react to their now dead comrade, Carl shot them each in the head except for the one holding Sunset and promptly shot him in his knees, personally crippling him for life as he screamed in hate and pain, and thus took away their weapons. After Sunset had called the police, the girls went over to their unknown (at least to them) masked heroic vigilante and looked at him either with fear, applause or shock. Carl then asked out of concern, yet in a deep Arkham knight like voice "Are you all ok, did they hurt you?"
Pinkie said with a smiling look with praise "You saved us!" and began to hug Carl tight, to the point where he nearly ran out of oxygen.
"Couldn't have at least picked a better time?" Rainbow deadpanned.
"Hey, they had guns, be happy it didn't get more worse and next time THIS type of thing happens, be sure to do what he says!" Rarity retorted.
"Lets all be happy it didn't escalate more then it had to" Sunset said and the police arrested the surviving robber while the others were taken to autopsy by police, and the other hostages, surprisingly including Octavia and Vinyl were seen being comforted by paramedics.
Sunset then faced the mysterious boy in armor and said "Thank you..?
Carl, not willing to reveal his true self and name, answered with a tone of hidden disdain "Alpha"
"Oh thank goodness!, I thought we would lose these." Rarity said and then said "Taking an stand and returning an precious item of ours, my hero.". Rarity then kissed Carl on the cheek, causing him to blush heavily and make him remember the same thing with him and Sophia.
"Um....no problem" Alpha/Carl said with embarrassment and he left by using the skills he learned from Paul "Jesus" Monroe to jump on the top of the building and go his way. Leaving the girls confused and surprised as to who their newfound savior really was.
After Carl managed to change into his normal clothes, he went to the apartment and unlocked the door and saw Rick cooking.
"Hey son, how was school?"
Carl answered "It was great dad, I even made some friends with a few girls"
Rick gave an happy expression "Did you ask her out already"
Carl immediately blushed and said "Uh..um." unable to answer correctly as Rick laughed in amusement.
Rick said in amusement "I'm just teasing, but seriously, are you?"
Carl said quickly "N...No!"
Rick decided to not push further and the two ate their food Rick prepared for them and as they are eating, Carl asked "By the way dad, what did I miss?"
Rick answered "While you were gone, I applied for the city's police in the city since I was a sheriff's deputy before so that we can pay the bills."
Carl understood and after they ate, Carl was doing homework and realized things would be more harder now that his father is now not only a cop in the city and while thinking of this, slowly began to wonder if he made the right choice or not in helping the girls in a lethal way.
(A few hours later)
As Carl had to leave to get groceries, his father was busy at his job and while Carl was walking back home, he opened the door and the moment he did the lights opened
"SURPRISE!"
Carl gave a look and said "What are you all doing here?!"
Pinkie said in reply "I said I'd throw you a party silly billy, and now I have!"
"No I mean, how did you get here without me or my dad opening the door?, I remember locking it."
Rick suddenly appeared and said "I let them in son"
"Why?"
"Well these girls told me that it's something Pinkie here does for others"
"Plus the author was really busy and is trying to make up some time!"
The partygoers gave looks of confusion while Rick and Carl looked puzzled. Rarity them said to them.
"Don't try, it's Pinkie being Pinkie"
The two complied, and began to enjoy the party, but Carl was however still secretly grieving from his family but managed to act otherwise to not worry his father and his new friends.
Chapter 4: Fight or Flight?
The next day, Carl woke up and got ready to got to another day at Canterlot High and was getting ready. After changing, Carl went to the living room and saw his father put on his new police uniform.
Rick saw his son and said "Good morning Carl"
"Morning Dad" Carl said
"Do you want me to take you to school?" Rick asked.
"No, it's ok but I appreciate it." Carl answered.
And with that, Rick went off his job for the police and Carl ran his way to school and went to begin his classes and as he was walking past the halls, a few students began to give looks at him some with distrust or curiosity at his battle-hardened exterior.
As he walked, Carl eventually reached his class and went to his seat before the teacher began to teach the students. As she taught, Carl began to suddenly think and flashback when he was "punished" for hurting two bullies for hurting Sophia, that's when he met Lydia.
(Flashback )
The parents were complaining to Maggie that Carl has to be punished and Carl was angry that the father of one demanded he apologized and thus Carl walked to him angrily and said.
"You want me to apologize?, You [BLEEP]ing [BLEEP]-wads can go [BLEEP] yourselves!"
This had enraged the father who was stopped by Maggie and Carl had to talk to her privately of the matter until it was clear. While this happened, Carl had met Lydia, who was being interrogated by Paul "Jesus" Monroe about her group, the Whisperers.
When the two met, Carl trusted her and felt sympathy and gave her his father's hat to make her feel better, although this worked in a way, she revealed it was Carl himself making her feel more better. Although Maggie and Jesus hesitated, they let her be with Carl and the two had bonded and at that moment, she removed his glasses and rather complimented his eye injury and the two had shared a moment of passion.

"....arl?...Carl!" A voice said and Carl was then shot out of his thoughts by Ms. Cheerliee, who gave him an look of concern.
"Are you ok?, you zoned out when I was doing the lesson" Cheerilee said
"I'm fine Ms. Cheerliee, don't worry" Carl reassured
Although reluctant, Cheerilee didn't push further and continued to teach the class. The next class was math with Ms. Harshwhinny and Carl was eventually getting more better at his work and gained more better marks and grades. After the class had finished, he had went to the cafeteria to have lunch and saw the girls and went over to them.
"Hi Carl" The girls all said
"Hi" he responded
Carl sat down and felt a little awkward about the situation and before he could talk, Sunset saw Celestia walk up to her sternly.
"Sunset, may I speak to you privately?" Celestia asked
"Um, sure"
As this happened, Carl went to Flash Sentry and his bandmates and saw Flash and went over to them.
Flash saw Carl and said "Hey Carl, What's up?"
"is that a guitar?" Carl said
"Yeah, an electric one why?" Flash answered
"Can I play it, like actually play it?" Carl asked
"Sure, but be careful" Flash said
Carl took the guitar, and although hesitant, went up the stage
"Um, why is Carly going on the stage?" Pinkie asked
Carl, without warning played the guitar at a fast pace. Everybody's jaws dropped as to how good he was playing.
"He's playing guitar...so perfect?" Fluttershy mumbled
Rarity said "How is that even physically possible?"
"I don't know, but he's really good!, he might be more better then Dashie!" Pinkie Pie said
Rainbow Dash, ticked off at this comment, gritted her teeth in anger and frustration and say 'There is NO WAY he is better then me at ANYTHING!!!"
Luna commented "This is...quite a surprise."
"Indeed, after what Carl has told us of himself, I strongly doubted he would know anything about guitar, let alone play expertly, is he THAT fast of a learner?" Celestia added
"It's difficult, but isn't impossible, after all practice makes perfect, sister"
Rainbow, in a blunt tone, suggested "Or maybe he was lying to us this whole time?"
Applejack yelled to her "Rainbow Dash, enough!"
As the two argued, Trixie, Flash and their bandmates had witnessed Carl play another song and saw this one to be way sadder then the more rock type song he had played. As Carl played, the song showed a sad tone and melody and Carl began to feel tears, yet managed to hold them in, with Flash and Trixie almost in sad tears themselves over how emotional the song had sounded.
After Carl had finished playing, he gave the Flash's guitar back and nodded in thanks to him and makes his way back to the group, they were silent and stared at Carl.
Celestia, breaking the silence, said "Well, we should probably look for a club or sport for Carl to join in"
Luna agreed and the three had went to the hallway, with eyes on Carl the whole time, with Trixie eventually snapping out of her stupor and along with her bandmates, had followed the three and stopped Carl and when she had reached Carl, she said "Whoa, whoa, whoa! What was THAT!?"
"What?" Carl said in reply
"THAT!" Trixie motioned to the gym, "Back at the gym, that was brilliant, where did you learn to play so good like that?!"
Carl responded "My father"
Trixie was left astounded "Wow, he must be a legend"
Carl answered "That's because we usually bonded playing something that would make us feel better or how we felt, that second specific song is how I felt. Don't worry about me, I've had worse."
Trixie, unbelieving this said in response "Your lying, you have to be, I don't know who you think you are, but just know this, I'm watching you."
Carl, however merely gave her an look and walked away with a sad look saying in his thoughts "I think I lost a friend."
"Its alright, Carl" Celestia said "she'll look beyond it and your friendship will return"
Carl replied by nodding to her with a smile, and Celestia smiled back and as the two continued down the hall, they encountered Sunset and her friends who walked past.
Celestia said "Sunset, where are you going?"
Applejack replied "We were jus' headin to th' music room"
Celestia said with Carl looking at her "You know...Carl could come too"
Rainbow said " What?!"
"It'll be a good chance for you to know your new friends better, right Sunset?" Celestia said, winking to Sunset knowingly.
"Oh!, Of course he can!" Sunset said
Each of the girls had agreed, all but one
"Right , Rainbow Dash" Applejack said raising an eyebrow
"Fine " Rainbow replied
Carl, while initially hesitant agreed to come and they went to the music room, however as this happened a few girls gave looks and began to watch him discreetly. However, some teachers forced them out. With the group, Carl had revealed what hapoened with him and Trixie. Sunset, with comfort put a hand on his shoulder and sat next to him.
"I'm sorry you lost a friend, but it's ok, there are more then Trixie and the Illusions" Sunset comforted Carl
Although reluctant Carl decided to accept it. When the girls got ready to play, Sunset chose to stay with Carl as the girls began to start the song.

As the girls had played the song, Carl slowly began to bob his head to the music, but then had a surprised look when he saw the girls transforming and saw that on top of their heads were their ears and the hair from the back of their heads had grown larger and to his confusion saw Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash sprout wings from their backs.
When the song finished, the girls returned to their normal states, leaving him confused, but he clapped at their musical ability.
"You like it, huh?," Rainbow said "That song was more then just 20% cooler!"
Carl, however still had an baffled look and said with confusion "That song was awesome!, but why do you guys look like...well...that?"
The girls gave somber looks and this made Carl look worried.
"Well Carl, you see, Sunset was not exactly....nicer before" Pinkie said
"What?" Carl said
Carl looked at Sunset and saw how down her spirits were and decided that because she was her friend, he had to act. With a quick nod to himself, he hugged her, making her gasp in surprise, she then looked in his eyes.
"I just thought you needed a hug, I understand how you feel, I felt the same way and I had to lose an friend as my price." Carl said kindly.
Sunset ended up blushing and gave an into the hug as the girls watched on.
"Bleech!" Rainbow Dash said in disgust
"Aww, that's so sweet of you Carl" Rarity acknowledged
The door opened and the two principals came in and Celestia said "Sorry to interrupt, we managed our paperwork efficiently and-" she stopped upon seeing Carl hugging Sunset "Well well, what have we here?" she said with a smirk.
At that point Sunset tried to explain while heavily blushing "It's not like that!. he was just trying to help and!-
"I'm just teasing, unless you two really do.."
Sunset was at this point speechless as her skin turned more red with embarrassment until the bell rang
"Aw crud, i'm gonna be late for soccer practice!" Rainbow said
"Also one of the reasons we came here, we were told you wanted to apply for sports Carl?"
"Yeah, and i'll try and go easy"
The three left as Sunset was told by Pinkie
"I think Carly likes you!"
"Pinkie!" Sunset said blushing again
Carl was seen changing into a uniform similar to Coach Spitfire, except his fit his male physique and chest and came out and Celestia commented
"Oh my..his body appears to be more healthy then i believed"
"He must've been exercising alot from where he came from" Luna said
"Not bad kid, you may look good, but can you play?" Spitfire asked
"You don't know the half of it" and he left and was seen in the hallway and as he walked began to think
Man, I know i really should be socializing and have a real life for once like dad, but....maybe he's right. The whole number of teachers and adults sound decent and nice enough and i should probably keep doing it not just for dad, but for Andrea, mom and Judith.
As Carl reached the locker room and started to change he was jumped by somebody and he saw an all too familiar person.
"Rainbow Dash?!!"
"Listen runt, I don't know who you are, but just know just cause your new doesn't mean i'll pull any blows, your on MY TURF.
As Carl struggled, she managed to hold firm and managed to even hit Carl in the head, but as she did, something in Carl snapped.
Flashback
"You little shit!, you wanna talk to me like that?!!?" said the father of a bully that Carl recognized.
End of Flashback
Carl, with a look of rage and hate broke free as he snapped back to Rainbow Dash as his eyes glowed blood red and saw Trixie and her friends try to pull her off him and succeeded as she tried to escape. He then jumped her and punched her repeatedly as she was trying to block and did a roundhouse to her face (courtesy of Paul Monroe teaching him prior) saying
"(BLEEP) YOU ASSHOLE!"
The blow stunned her as she was dazed but then knocked down and kicked in the head mercilessly to the point where her nose was broken and her left eye was black and he kept on cursing and swearing as he hit her and despite Trixie and the other's efforts to stop him and kept going until a familiar voice said
"What is going on here?!!"
The girls and Carl turned and saw Principal and Trixie explained "She grabbed Carl and we pried her off and then he suddenly goes like THAT! and started to pummel her!!" she motioned at Carl's red eyes now glowing more omniously, which died out and returned to its normal color.
Celestia quickly nodded 'Both of you, my office, NOW"
The two walked with her to the office and while doing so, the injured Rainbow Dash glared angrily at Carl, who refused to reply in response. The two reached her office as she and Luna gave looks of disgust at the two and Celestia began the conversation by
"Well, what do you two have to say for yourselves?"
The two didn't answer and Luna said "I'm ashamed at you both, mostly at you Ms. Dash!"
Celestia added "Care to explain what happened?"
Carl said "I-i don't know, she just tackled me and i-"
" You pummeled me" Rainbow reminded
"BECAUSE YOU STARTED IT YOU MORON! AND FOR WHAT?" Carl notified in response
"SAY THAT ONE MORE TIME!" Rainbow shouted
The two glared at one another and Celestia said
"Enough! both of you!"
They turned to her and calmed down and said with disdain
"I've called both your parents and your lucky your father understood Carl, he decided to give you a lenient punishment, so you'll have detention for 3 days, as for you Ms. Dash, your SUSPENDED for a week."
"WHAT?!"
"You heard me, as I heard and saw the whole thing escalate because of you and your pride, you have to pay the price."
Rainbow Dash wanted to argue, but couldn't bring herself too and angrily walked out, giving an angry look at Carl before leaving and Rick had arrived and gave a disappointed look at Carl before the teachers told him what really happened. Rick grounded him for 3 weeks and Carl decided to accept the punishment nonetheless as they went back home.
Chapter 6: Forgive and Forget?
(3 Weeks later)
Carl was waking up and Rick came in and said "Come on Carl, it's time for breakfast."
Carl got up groaning and went to the room and sat in a chair near the table as Rick was cooking some pancakes. After they finished, Rick dropped off Carl and left to do his job, Carl was hesitant to attend because of yesterday still as he avoided the girls and Rainbow, despite them actually not knowing, as he gulped and eventually went inside, a few students gave looks of shock and horror at him as some even said
"Isn't that the kid that attacked one of the Rainbooms?" One student said
"Man, she must have really ticked him off." another student claimed
"I heard she attacked him and he roundhouse kicked her" a third student claimed
Carl was beginning to feel more uncomfortable as he walked to his class and the moment had sent inside, most of students gave him looks of fear or disbelief as had sent to his seat, this time in the far back away from Sunset as she looked at him with confusion. Cheerilee came inside and began to teach the class and each student was to write a thinking piece on a book they read together. After a few hours, it was lunch and Carl had went to the cafeteria and saw Rainbow Dash and the girls at their table quickly ran to Flash and his friends as he said in fear.
"Flash, can you hide me?!" Carl asked
"Whoa, what's the rush?" Flash asked
"No time, just help hide me!"
"Ok, just crawl under the table and I'll try and help."
Carl agreed and hid under the table as quickly as possible as he heard Sunset come and say to Flash
"Flash, has Carl come here?"
"No, I haven't seen him, why?"
"Because he usually hangs out with you the last 3 weeks and I heard he and Rainbow had a fight."
Carl struggled to keep quiet as Sunset and Flash spoke and after a few minutes, Carl heard her leaving and Flash said
"Ok, you can come out"
Carl did but only showed his head to Flash while still under the table.
"So what's this I hear about you and Rainbow fighting?"
"Look, I didn't mean too, she just jumped me and I just lost it."
"Lost it?" Flash asked
"Look, it's complicated ok? but-" Carl said
"Carl!" An all to familiar voice said
Carl nervously winced and slowly turned around and saw the girls heading over to him and he said in fright
"DAMMIT!" and he ran out the room as the girls pursued him into the hallway as they dodged students and teachers all around.
"Carl, stop running!!" Applejack said
"Please, we only want to talk!" Sunset said
Carl kept running and Rainbow Dash was hot in pursuit as he managed to see a nearby janitors closet and jumped inside and locked the door with some nearby equipment to make a barricade as the girls pounded on the door shouting at him.
"Open the door darling!, We don't wanna hurt you!" Rarity said
"Kid, we know your in there!, just let us in!" Rainbow Dash said
"You can't hide forever!" Sunset said said
Carl realized they were right and his next class was in a few more hours and saw the door handle about to be opened and quickly began to search the room for any means of escape. He saw an vent at the top of the ceiling and used a stool to reach up and open it as he started to crawl up inside and close the lid.
The girls broke the door down and saw the room was empty and Rainbow Dash said
"Where'd he go?!"
The girls searched and as they looked, they heard footsteps in the vents and Fluttershy said
"Do you hear that?"
"Is he....in the air vents?" Rarity said
"Is he THAT desperate to avoid us?" Rainbow asked
"He must be finding a way to his next class, we should reach there before he does." Sunset said
"Good idea"
"But what is his next class?" Fluttershy asked
(With Carl)
Carl continued to crawl and move his way through the air vents as he searched for his next class, which was gym with Spitfire and as he crawled,he saw under the vents the girls heading somewhere and believing he has lost them said in relief.
"Ok, I think I lost them, time to find a way to gym."
Carl continued to try and find alternate routes that led to the gym and kept going until he ended up falling into another janitor's closet and groaned in pain as he got up. He opened the door and didn't see the girls and saw the gym was just away and ran to it and opened the door and said
"Carl, what happened to you?" Coach Spitfire asked
"Sorry I'm late!, I was busy and I forgot the room number and-"
"Its ok, your just trying to keep on time, just make sure it's not a habit" Spitfire said
"Yes Coach."
Carl went to the change room and checked if the girls got there first. After a few minutes, he sighed in relief and got ready in his gym uniform and heard voices from the other side and the moment he turned around he saw Rainbow Dash who said
"I found him!"
Carl turned to run, but no matter where he ran, the girls cornered him. He managed to successfully to roll under Fluttershy and sprint to the bathroom and hid in one of the stalls. The girls got in and Sunset said
"Carl?!"
The girls searched the stalls and found a locked one and Rainbow said "Carl, we know your in there!"
Carl, however did not say a word and continued to hide inside as Rainbow Dash kicked at the door repeatedly. As this happened Spitfire came in and said
"What is going on here?!"
The girls turned and saw and angry coach giving them an annoyed look
Rainbow Dash said "Um, coach we can explain, we were-"
Coach Spitfire cut her off and said "Save it, just get to class, your each already 2 minutes late,"
The girls nodded and Rainbow said to Carl "We'll talk later."
Carl still did not answer until he heard footsteps and saw them leaving. He decided to leave and sighed with relief and got ready for class, hoping things don't turn out bad as last time
