Strictly Come (Flash)Dancing

Hello folks! Since we last met, Manteo has gone dance crazy! People were checking out all sorts of styles old and new, and this was a source of exitement for those who lived in the town. Everything from the jitterbug to the newest of crazes was being done all about Manteo, and this was generating much happiness and mirth. Everybody who was anybody was out and about dancing the nights and days away, old and young, rich and poor, tall or short, thin or fat, male and female, all simply embracing the universal language that is dance. It probably also helped that there was a good DJ in town, but that's besides the point. This DJ, to make him the point, played music of many genres, which was helping the dance styles along tremendously.
Jimmy Hook, of course, wanted to get in on the fun. At school, as is often mandatory for school students in America, he had taken dance lessons, and this meant that he had certain useful skills in the field of dance. Ballroom, waltz, galliard, even more recent ones such as the dreaded box step (universally reviled by American school children everywhere), the Charleston, and that classic the Hand Jive. One he was not yet sure on was the Lindy Glide, which he recalled as being very difficult indeed due to the sheer complexity of the dance and the risk of personal injury. Checking his letterbox one fine morning in November, he took out a letter and opened it (as letters are very hard to read when closed inside their envelopes). He took the letter out of the packaging and gave it a read. And it said:
ARE YOU IN ON THE DANCE CRAZE SWEEPING MANTEO?
DO YOU WANT TO HAVE FUN?
DO YOU WANT TO WIN A PRIZE? A GRAND PRIZE?
"This feels oddly familiar," Jimmy admitted to nobody in particular. He then read onwards into the letter.
IN WHICH CASE, COME ALONG TO THE OUTER BANKS BALL, AND COMPETE AGAINST FELLOW DANCERS IN A CHANCE TO WIN AND IMPRESS YOUR FRIENDS!
SO, DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
BRING YOUR DANCING FEET, AND DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY! ONLY THE BRAVE NEED DARE TO APPLY!
Jimmy walked back indoors and set the letter down upon the table. The last time he had received a letter like this was when he had participated in the fire eater contest and ended up being changed into Cayenne as a result. Having said that, a few hours of dancing would be good exercise, and it would hardly hurt to have some fun out in town.
"Let's hope those dance skills I learned in high school pay off," he said, and he headed off into town with his coat on, his best shoes in a storage box, and a suit bag, with his best suit in it. He had a device on him that would magically draw his hair back into a 1950s haircut, which would fit so much better for the event than the Brian May look.
The device of the miraculous haircut now in action, and Jimmy somewhat resembling Frank Sinatra at the end of his career, Jimmy stepped into the center of the town, where an impromptu dance floor had been built, and this was now set up for the competition. Lights started to flash and glow all around, and the floor lit up very suddenly.
"Hello everybody!" shouted the DJ, who was female and sounded oddly familiar. Familiar to Jimmy, at least. "How are you all doing tonight?"
A great collection of roars and cheers started up, as the crowd were hyped for action.
"I CAN'T HEAR YOU!"
The crowd repeated their earlier act of appreciation, and the DJ smiled.
"THAT'S WHAT I WANTED TO HEAR! Now then, we have many contestants competing tonight, but only one of them can actually win and secure the great prize that we all want! ARE YOU READY?"
Lights and numbers lit up on a hug screen (sorry, that should be a huge screen, as a screen getting hugged is a bit to weird to think about), and before long the numbers displayed began counting down.
"5, 4, 3, 2, 1, GO!"
And at that moment, they began blasting Tutti Fruiti through the speakers. Always got to start with the classics, that's what I say. And as I am narrating the story, what I say goes.
There were several minutes, but only one person could emerge victorious. As people were asked to step aside and couples fell by the wayside, only one man could emerge victorious above them all.
You guessed it, the main man, the one who rules the roost. Indeed, you guessed it, it's that one. The only one left is the one you think it is. Jimmy made it to the end, and was declared the winner.
Jimmy came forth to claim his prize, which was... a white armband. "How lame," he said. However, it was as if the armband could hear him, as it abruptly glued itself to his arm and wouldn't come off.
The DJ smirked. "Game. Over, Jimmy." The lights came up on her, and she was in a hood.
"It's Jigsaw!" cried somebody.
"It can't be, he's been dead for years!" said another.
"No," the DJ replied. "I am the merchant, and I will have my revenge. Boy will this be embarrasing for him."
Indeed it was, as another band of white formed around his forehead, followed by his pants and shoes vanishing into the ether. His shirt turned into this black garment that sat around his arms and shoulders, and his jacket and tie into a loose green shirt designed by somebody with no fashion taste at all. Another white armband appeared on his other arm as well as two legbands appeared around towards the area of his feet.
Jimmy shrank in size along with them, and a tail appeared from his rear as his legs changed into hind legs, the joints snapping backwards and his feet morphing into hooves. His manhood vanished and two lumps replaced it, followed by her hips changing size to compensate. The tail turned pink, held in place by a braid, as her chest grew, the clothes growing in size with them, and her forearms morphing into forelegs with inverted joints again and hooves replacing hands. Her nose and mouth combined into a muzzle, along with ears growing to the top of her head and becoming enique shape, and her eyes turned purple from their normal blue as well growing in size. In addition, her red glasses got themselves shattered in the process. Her hair turned from brown to pink, and morphed into a bouncy pink mane as her entire body was covered in pale blue fur, complemented by a star cutie mark.
Flashdancer looked up at the Merchant. "Why?" she asked.
"Revenge," the Merchant replied. "This time, I win."
Flashdancer however looked at the merchant with anger. "Mark my words, Merchant!" said Flashdancer. "I will find two other Earth Ponies who like dancing just like me, and we will challenge you to a Revenge Dance Off to just show you what Earth Ponies can do without magic like Unicorns or flying like Pegasi! That will be the day for you!"
"Pah." said the Merchant. "I like to see you try, my little pony." And the Merchant walked off without another word.
Flashdancer however just continued to watch as the merchant headed out. She knew she needed to do that for her goal and to settle the score with the merchant once and for all...

Yes it was my intention to have the Merchant name drop the franchise name. I mean come on, who wouldn't do it though?! XD
Anyways, yes.... that last paragraph at the end of the story will become prevalent for a future story
