//-------------------------------------------------------// Our Friend, Michael! -by Dinomite123- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Field Trip Day //-------------------------------------------------------// Field Trip Day At Sweet Apple Acres, in the room of a girl named Apple Bloom was getting ready for school. She grabbed her backpack and headed downstairs for a hurry. "Later, Granny!" Apple Bloom called. Wait a minute, Apple Bloom!" Granny Smith stopped her before she could walk out the door. "Don't forget your lunch." "Oh yeah, thanks Granny." "Oh, and remember I'm helping the family with the jam jars tonight." "Again? Aw, you're a total servant to be working for mashing jam." "Nobody's a servant to their own dream, Applebloom." Granny said. "And hopefully my hard work today will pay the way for your dream tomorrow." "I know." Applebloom replied. "And speaking of hard work, you make sure you count words in those books instead of counting those chickens when you get home from school today." "But Granny, Applejack told me to count so she doesn't overfill chickens in her room. And by the way, I'm joining with Sweetie Belle and Scootalo to a club at the skate park this weekend." "Your sister would tell you the same thing, that a decent job comes from improving your grades. Bottom line is no good grades...no club this weekend." Granny ordered. "But Granny..." "No Buts. Now get to school." But before Applebloom could walk the door... "Ahem, Mrs. Apples. Permission slip for the field trip." Granny Smith pulled the permission slip. "Oh right, that music museum. Thanks Granny." Applebloom made her way out the door, when she got to the bus stop Sweetie Belle and Scootalo met up with her. "Hey, Applebloom." Sweetie Belle called. "How's it going?" Scootalo asked. "It's alright." Applebloom replied. "So, you gonna come to the club this weekend?" "Well, Granny said I need study if I ever want to think about going." "Ouch, that's tough road." "Well, you heard her." The school bus finally arrived and the three girls got on. At Canterlot High, the CMC were in class. But Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon walked in the door late. "Agh, why is everyone always so early?" She scoffed. "You're late again, Diamond Tiara. You too, Silver Spoon." Mrs. Cherilee said. "We missed our bus, Mrs. Cherilee." Diamond Tiara said. "Now settle down class, I'm going to announce the groups for the music arts project." "Miss Cherilee, can I work with..." "I've already picked your groups for you, Diamond Tiara." Miss Cherilee said. "Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, you three will be working together. And Diamond Tiara, you'll be working with Silver Spoon." They both hand shaked for the assignment. The school bell rang, everyone got out of their desks. "Applebloom, May I talk to you for a minute?" Miss Cherilee asked her. "Your grades have gotten very complacent lately. What's going on?" "Well, I've been caught up in so much farm work lately." Applebloom explained. "It's been rough focusing on school work." "Well, I suggest you start focusing on your grades more." "Come on, Mrs. Cherilee, when you're living a farm it's a whole muddy mess. And your one who has to plant the seeds and feed the animals and most of all...apple bucking." "I'll tell that to your granny." Cherilee smiled. "She's busier than ever. I'm talking about the rest of the family." "I know your smarter than this, Applebloom. There are other ways to make your mark." "Well, sometimes I can do it the apple family way." Applebloom said. "Well then, tell you this, Applebloom." Mrs. Cherilee noted. "I'm recementing to Principal Celestia that you repeat a grade." "What!?" "...If you don't turn your grades around, starting with choosing the topic of your favorite music artist." "There are many country artists, what's there to pick. Besides, there are many music stars out there and they're all famous." "But they also have passions and stories. Take for example, Michael Jackson was able to follow his heart and make his own choices. And he supported many other artists, plus he wrote songs that inspired people. Just keep your eyes and ears open on the field trip. You might learn something." "Fine, I guess I could learn a few things." Applebloom sighed. Later at the music museum, the tourist named Sour Note was giving the class a tour of the hallway. "Hello, kids. I'm your tourist, Sour Note. And I will be showing around the museum of how music was invented and about how the popular musicians changed the world. As you'll find out this museum is very unique, magical even." "You mean like a haunted house or even a mysterious castle?" Scootaloo wondered. "No no, not like that. Come and see for yourself." Sour Note began showing the class around the exhibits where music was invented. At last, she showed them the exhibit of one of the greatest entertainers of all time. "All right class, I hope you all are gonna love this attraction." She said. "This is an exhibition of one of the greatest entertainers of all time." At last, it is revealed to be the exhibit of Michael Jackson. She showed all the outfits he wore at his tour concerts and the stuff he had in his life. "Wow, he must've been super rich." Diamond Tiara smirked. "Yes, he was very rich. Rich enough to build his own neverland ranch." Sour Note explained. "Why is this roped off?" Applebloom asked as her pick up on of MJ's gloves of the hand elastic. "To keep your scrubby little hand of it." She said grabbing it and putting it back. "Yeah, the things in here are probably priceless." Silver Spoon said. "It's much more than that. Priceless is not the right word. Now come follow me, I've got to show you the rest." The class followed, but Applebloom stayed behind and looked at MJ's glove. "Come on, Applebloom. The class is moving on." Sweetie Belle snapped her to reality. "Miss. Note said this museum is magical, right? Applebloom stated. "She was just joking. People say stuff like that all the time." "Well, I want to check it out first handed." "We're gonna get in trouble." Scootaloo said. "C'mon, are you guys my friends or not? Besides, who's gonna know?" "Just the four of us." The turned to see it was Sour Note. "What? No sense of direction or you just lost your way to the bathroom?" The three girls had a feeling they were in trouble. "Uh, hi Ms. Note. We're..." "Busted." Scootaloo interrupted. "You know, I don't usually do this, but I'll let you poke around here so you can feel the exhibit." She unclipped the red ropes of the stanchions and let them in the exhibit. "Now c'mon, I don't have all time to stand her until my retirement kicks in." Sour Note smiled. She a watch and turned a different time on the clock. "Have a nice day trip." She left the three on their own. "What does she mean by that?" Sweetie Belle wondered. "It doesn't matter, check it out. That guy had a gorgeous sparkling glove." Applebloom beamed. "I wonder how it fits on my hand." She picked it up and tried it on her hand. Suddenly, it started to sparkle and so it the watch Sour Note left. "What's going on?" "I think it's the glove." "Take it off, Applebloom!" She tried to take it off, but the sparkles surrounded them and they were being teleported to somewhere else, somewhere that was many years before they were even born. //-------------------------------------------------------// I Want You Back //-------------------------------------------------------// I Want You Back The three girls were surrounded by a sparkling and flashing portal, it was terrifying and epic at the same time. But when it was finally over, they found themselves in a town that looked like it was 1969. Except, it really was 1969. "Whoa, where are we?" Scootaloo wondered. "Don't know, but it definitely looks like the old days." Applebloom said as she looked around. They could see cars that looked classic and people dressed original. "Wow, people are dressed pretty classic." Sweetie Belle beamed. "Guys, I think we've travelled back time." They then turned to see kids playing around with a dodgeball, then they saw a black boy with afro hair and nice disco cloths. "Hm, I wonder why he's not playing with the rest of the kids." Sweetie Belle wondered. They walked over to him. The boy noticed them approaching and gave a shy smile. "Hi there," he said softly. "Hi." He said. "Why aren't you playing with the other kids?" Scootaloo asked curiously. The boy shrugged. "I like watching them play, but sometimes I feel like I don't fit in." Apple Bloom gave him a reassuring smile. "Well, you can hang out with us if you want. We're new here too." "You don't understand, I can't fit in because Joseph won't let me be a kid." The girls exchanged puzzled glances. "Who's Joseph?" Sweetie Belle asked gently. The boy sighed. "He's my father. He wants me to focus on my music and dancing all the time. I don't get to play like other kids." Scootaloo frowned. "That's not fair. Everyone deserves to have fun." Apple Bloom nodded in agreement. "Yeah, you should be able to be a kid too." The boy smiled sadly. "Thanks. It's nice to hear that. But I have to practice a lot if I want to be the best." "Well, maybe you can start by hanging out with us." Applebloom said. The boy looked at Apple Bloom with a hopeful expression. "You really mean it?" "Of course!" Scootaloo chimed in. "We'd love to have you join us." The boy face lit up with a smile. "That sounds amazing. I'd love to hang out with you all." "By the way, I'm Sweetie Belle, and these are my friends, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo," Sweetie Belle introduced them. "Nice to meet you. I'm Michael," the boy replied. The girls smiled warmly at Michael. "Nice to meet you, Michael!" Apple Bloom said. "So, what do you like to do for fun?" Scootaloo asked. Michael's eyes lit up. "I love singing and dancing. It's my passion." Sweetie Belle beamed. "That's awesome! Maybe you can show us some of your moves." "Uh...I don't really have the moves...yet!" Michael said. Sweetie Belle smiled encouragingly. "That's okay! We can help you practice." They were ready for that, until a man stepped out of the door they were near. It was a man who was none other them...Joseph, his father. "Michael! I said take five, not fifteen." He scolded. "Your brothers are in there waiting for you. Now get your behind in there, before I throw you in there!" "Sorry, Joseph." "And you kids," He pointed to Applebloom, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle. "Get lost!" The two went inside. "Well, that wasn't nice." Scootaloo powed. "Wait, something about this seems familiar." Applebloom replied. Sweetie Belle tilted her head, thinking hard. "Yeah, I feel like I've seen this before." Apple Bloom nodded. "Me too. It's like we're in one of those stories we read about." Scootaloo's eyes widened. "Wait a minute! I think I know who Michael is. Isn't he supposed to be famous or something?" "Let's sneak inside and find out what's going on." Sweetie Belle planned. The girls nodded in agreement, their curiosity piqued. They quietly tiptoed towards the door, careful not to make any noise. As they peeked inside, they saw a small room filled with musical instruments and recording equipment. Michael's brothers were practicing a song, their voices harmonizing beautifully. Michael stood off to the side, looking a bit dejected. Joseph was pacing back and forth, giving instructions and occasionally scolding the boys. Michael: When I had you to myself, I didn't want you around Those pretty faces always made you stand out in a crowd But someone picked you from the bunch, one glance was all it took Now it's much too late for me to take a second look Oh, baby, give me one more chance (to show you that I love you) Won't you please let me back in your heart Oh, darlin', I was blind to let you go (let you go, baby) But now since I see you in his arms (I want you back) Yes, I do now (I want you back) Ooh, ooh, baby (I want you back) Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah (I want you back) Na, na, na, na Trying to live without your love is one long sleepless night Let me show you, girl, that I know wrong from right Every street you walk on, I leave tear stains on the ground Following the girl I didn't even want around Let me tell you now Oh, baby, all I need is one more chance (to show you that I love you) Won't you please let me back in your heart Oh, darlin', I was blind to let you go (let you go, baby) But now since I see you in his arms, uh-huh Ah, buh bum, bum, bum Ah, buh bum, bum, bum All I want Ah, buh bum, bum, bum All I need Ah, buh bum, bum, bum All I want Ah, buh bum, bum, bum All I need Oh, just one more chance to show that I love you Baby (baby) Baby (baby) Baby (baby) Forget what happened then (I want you back) Let me live again Oh, baby, I was blind to let you go But now since I see you in his arms (I want you back) Spare me of this cause Get back what I lost Oh, baby, I need one more chance, ha I tell ya that I love you Baby (oh), baby (oh), baby (oh) I want you back, ha I want you back "Wow, they're really good," Apple Bloom whispered. "Yeah, but it looks like a lot of pressure," Scootaloo added. "Hey, remember back at the museum where Sour Note talked about him?" Sweetie Belle said. The two nodded. "This is the time where the Jackson 5 was formed." Apple Bloom's eyes widened. "You're right! This is when Michael and his brothers started their journey to becoming famous." Scootaloo grinned. "Wow, we're witnessing history in the making!" Michael and his brothers were leaving the recording room. "We better left before they catch us." Apple Bloom whispered. The girls nodded in agreement and quietly slipped away from the door. They found a hiding spot behind a nearby bush and watched as Michael and his brothers walked out of the building. "I still can't believe we are witnessing history." Scootaloo beamed. Sweetie Belle nodded; her eyes wide with excitement. "I know, right? This is incredible!" But suddenly, the same sparkles and flashing portal appeared again. And the three girls were once again enveloped in its dazzling light. "Hold on tight!" Apple Bloom shouted as they were pulled into the portal. The world around them swirled and shifted, and when the portal finally released them, they found themselves in a different place and time. "Where are we now?" Scootaloo wondered, looking around. Then they hear a crowd applauded and a stage with a title that said: Jackson 5. The girls' eyes widened as they heard the crowd's applause and saw the stage with the title "Jackson 5" illuminated in bright lights. "Wow, this is amazing!" Sweetie Belle whispered in awe. Apple Bloom nodded. "We're about to witness one of their performances!" Scootaloo grinned. "Let's find a good spot to watch." They quickly made their way to the front of the stage, blending in with the excited crowd. The energy was electric, and the girls could feel the anticipation building. As the music started, Michael and his brothers took the stage, their voices harmonizing perfectly. The crowd erupted in cheers, and the girls couldn't help but join in, clapping and dancing along. Michael: When I (when I) had you (had you) I treated you bad And wrong my dear And girl since Since you been away Dont'cha know I Sit around With my head hangin' down And I wonder Who's lovin' you I, I, I, I Should have never ever Ever made you cry And girl since Since you been gone Dont'cha know I Sit around With my head hangin' down And I wonder Who's lovin' you Life without love Is oh, so lonely I don't think I don't think I'm gonna make it All my life (all my life) All my life, yeah (all my life) Belongs to you only Come on and take it girl Come on and take it Because All All I can do All I can do Since you been gone is cry And you, oooh Will never wonder And worry your pretty little head About what I do Dont'cha know I Sit around With my head hangin' down And I wonder Who's lovin' you "This is incredible!" Apple Bloom shouted over the music. "So, what now?" Scootaloo asked. Sweetie Belle looked around, taking in the scene. "I think we should stick around and see what happens next. We might learn something important." Once again, the same sparkles and flashing portal appeared, enveloping the girls in its dazzling light. "OH COME ON!" The world around them swirled and shifted, who knows what other time they'll be headed to.
