Filthy Rich stood at the counter in the postal office with a large orange envelope in his mouth. He placed the envelope onto the counter and the nice mare being the counter took it. Filthy Rich let out a sigh of relief and walked away from the counter.

“All I have to do is wait for my lawyer to respond to the letter.” Filthy Rich said to himself, walking out of the post office. A sense of relief washed over him. Now all he had to do is wait for an answer. That wouldn’t take to long.

A sinking feeling came to his stomach. The last time he contacted his lawyer it took weeks for a response. To make matters worse, it could take months just to get a court date. Filthy Rich couldn’t wait that long, he had no idea what Spoiled Rich was going to do to his beloved daughter.

“I need to do something.” Filthy Rich whispered to himself. He couldn’t go to Manehattan and go look for Diamond Tiara, he could get arrested for trying to take her back. Besides, he didn’t even know where Spoiled lived. Manehattan was a big city, it could take days for him to find them.

He was overwhelmed with stress at this point. It’s been a full day since Diamond Tiara was taken away and she couldn’t be in danger at that moment.

“Filthy Rich?” An old concerned voice asked, making him snap out of his daze. He turned around to see Granny Smith looking at him with a concerned look on her face. It was very rare that she called him by his full name. She usually called him Mr. Rich during business deals and Filthy on casual occasions.

“Hello Granny, how are you?” Filthy Rich asked, trying to be polite. Granny Smith gave him a comforting look.

“I’m fine, but are you okay? You look worse than a cat in a thunderstorm.” Granny Smith said. Filthy Rich suddenly realized how disheveled he looked. His mane was a mess, he looked exhausted, and his tie was ripped. He barely got any sleep because he was stressed.

“I’m just stressed about something.” He admitted. Granny Smith gave a sympathetic smile and put her hoof on his side.

“Do you want to discuss it over some cider and fritters?” She asked. Admittedly, that sounded very nice. Filthy Rich has been stressed for the past few days so it would be nice to sit back and talk about his problems. He let out a sigh.

“That sounds nice. Let’s do that.”

Filthy Rich sat at the dining table in Granny Smiths kitchen. He had several empty cider mugs next to him. Of course the cider was non alcoholic, he didn’t drink much. In front of him, there was a plate that was stacked with fritters. Granny Smith sat across from him at the table, listening to every word he was saying.

“And then she brought her lawyer over and said I didn’t have custody of Diamond Tiara. She told her lawyer that I abused her and my daughter. They threatened to call the police if I didn’t let Diamond Tiara go. She took my pride and joy away and I’m not able to see her.” Filthy Rich finished. Granny Smith let out a hum and tapped her chin.

“Now that story doesn’t make a lick of sense.” Granny Smith said. Filthy Rich scowled. How could she say that? He was telling the completely truth and then she’d called him a liar? His child was taken away from him and it hurt him.

“Were there no Social Services that came with her?” Granny Smith asked. Filthy Rich blinked in surprise.

“No one else was there except for Spoiled and her lawyer.” He stated. Granny Smith shook her head and put her hoof on the table.

“Did ya even read the document her lawyer had?” She asked in an annoyed tone. Filthy Rich shook his head.

“Ya got tricked. Spoiled lies like a no legged dog!” Granny exclaimed. “There’s no way she would’ve gotten custody of Diamond Tiara that quickly.” Granny said. Filthy Rich gave a look of surprise.

“How do you know that?” He asked. Granny Smith rolled her eyes as if it were common knowledge.

“If she accused you of abuse, then she would’ve needed proof. The police would’ve gotten witnesses. Since you’re one of the nicest stallions in town, you would’ve been innocent and you would still have your kid.” Granny Smith explained. “Besides, Social Services would’ve stopped by to investigate you too. I’ve adopted three kids, I would know.” She stated.

Filthy Rich blinked in surprise. He hadn’t thought of all of that. Why didn’t he read the document. If he had read it then he would still have a Diamond Tiara. Filthy Rich’s eyes widened and he hopped out of his chair, knocking it over.

“She kidnapped my kid! I need to go get help. I’m going to the police.” Filthy Rich said in a panicked tone. Granny Smith stood up.

“The police are gonna take too long, you don’t know where Spoiled lives. It can take days to find them. I have an old friend that can help us out a lot faster.” Granny said. Filthy Rich gave a nervous gulp. Hopefully this would work.

Filthy Rich and Granny Smith walked through the Canterlot Castle, looking around in amazement. Everything was so pretty and clean. Despite being a wealthy business man, he had never stepped a hoof this far into the castle. He only entered during the Gala.

“Granny, who is this friend of yours? Do they work for the Princess?” Filthy Rich asked. Granny Smith let out a chuckle and winked.

“You’ll see.” Granny Smith said. Filthy Rich scrunched up his face in confusion. Who could be that powerful to help him get Diamond Tiara back?

They approached a door with two guards in front of it. The held there spears in front of the door and glared down at the two ponies. Granny Smith gave them a smile. The guards moved the spears out of the way and opened the door.

To Filthy Rich’s surprise, Princess Celestia was sitting on her throne. Granny Smith happily trotted past Filthy Rich and entered the throne room. Filthy Rich trailed behind, still surprised that he was going to talk to the Princess.

He had never been this close to Princess Celestia before. He had been to the Grand Galloping Gala multiple times but he never spoken to the Princess.

Princess Celestia looked at Granny Smith and smiled.

“Granny Smith, it’s so nice to see any old friend. How may I help you?” Princess Celestia asked with a sweet smile.

“My friend needs some help with a family problem.” Granny Smith said, gesturing to Filthy Rich. Filthy Rich bowed at the presence of royalty.

“Your highness, my daughter has been kidnapped by my ex wife. She took her and they’re somewhere in Manehattan. Granny Smith told me that you would be able to help.” Filthy Rich explained, standing up from his bow. Princess Celestia let out a soft hum and sat up straighter.

“Guards!” She exclaimed. A guard flew over to Princess Celestia with his spear upright, ready to attack. Celestia put her hoof up, making the guard put his spear down.

“Theirs no need for violence. I want you to write everything this stallion says down.” She said, handing the guard a quill and a scroll. Princess Celestia looked over to Filthy Rich and gave him a smile.

“I’ll send send guards to Manehattan to find them. Now please describe your ex wife’s and daughters appearances.” Princess Celestia stated.

“My daughters name is Diamond Dazzle Tiara, her coat is pale magenta, and she has bright blue eyes. Her mane is light purple with white streaks in it and she always wears a tiara. Her cutie mark is a tiara and she’s only ten.” Filthy Rich explained. The guard quickly wrote all of that down onto the sheet of paper.

“My ex wife’s name is Spoiled Milk. Her coat is grayish pink, her eyes are opal, and her mane is magenta. She has a very point muzzle from having plastic surgery. Her cutie mark is a diamond ring and she usually wears a teal shirt.” Filthy Rich said.

Princess Celestia looked at the guard and nodded her head.

“Go get your troops and head out to Manehattan to find them. Once you find them, bring them here.” Princess Celestia ordered. The guard saluted and flew off. Princess Celestia looked at Filthy Rich with a kind smile. “You may stay at the castle until we find her.” She said. Filthy Rich teared up and did another bow.

“Thank you so much your highness.” He thanked. He was going to get his daughter back.
