The Theatrical Play

It was a beautiful night in Canterlot, and Luna was in her bedroom watching the night sky. Since no pony was having nightmares today, she didn’t need to enter Dream World.

Twilight Sparkle told Luna that she would be staying at Canterlot Castle for a few days to be with her.

Luna was happy when she heard that. Because she and Twilight could spend several days together.

Suddenly she heard a knock on the door. Luna stopped what she was doing and went to answer it. Opening the door, she saw Twilight Sparkle with a backpack.

Twilight Sparkle was smiling. “Luna. I have very good news for both of us!”

“What’s the news, love?” asked Luna.

“We were invited to participate in a play!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle.

Luna was surprised, before looking insecure, “I don’t know, love. What time of day will it be?”

Twilight Sparkle looked uncertain. She opened her backpack, took an invitation to read the time, before looking at Luna before answering.

“It’s going to be night, Luna. It will be at midnight”, answered Twilight Sparkle.

As much as Luna wanted to accept, she still had doubts.

“I don’t know, love,” said Luna. “I have my royal duties as princess of the night”

Twilight seemed a little sad about that.

“I know, Luna,” said Twilight Sparkle. “But are you busy tonight?”

“No, love,” answered Luna. “Why?”

“Because the play will be at midnight”, answered Twilight Sparkle.

“So I think we can, love,” said Luna with a smile. “Do you have another invitation?”

Twilight Sparkle took another invitation from the bag and looked back at Luna. “Yes, Luna”

Luna noticed something and was confused. “Wait. Since we will perform in the play, why would we need invitations?”

Twilight Sparkle touched something. “Ah! I’m so sorry, Luna. I forgot to warn you that the ponies in charge of the Canterlot theater told me to give the two invitations to two ponies”

“Who are you going to invite, love?” asked Luna.

“I was thinking of inviting Celestia and Spike”, replied Twilight Sparkle.

Luna looked uncertain. “Love, I respect your choice. But Celestia and Spike must already be sleeping”

Twilight Sparkle touched on that and couldn’t help but agree with Luna. “You’re right, Luna. And now? What do I do? I don’t want to disappoint the theater ponies for not giving both tickets to anypony”

Luna approached Twilight Sparkle. “Don’t worry, love. If you want, I can explain to them that who you intended to invite is already asleep”

Twilight Sparkle looked uncertain and a little unsure as to what Luna said. “But what if they get mad at me, Luna?”

Luna hugged Twilight with a wing. “Trust me, love. I’m sure they wouldn’t be mad at you, especially with me around”

Twilight Sparkle stopped to think about it and even made sense. Twilight has never seen a pony get mad at Luna. Maybe it’s because they are afraid of Luna.

“Do you have everything there, love?” asked Luna.

Twilight Sparkle opened her backpack to check. Twilight had food if she got hungry, your stuffed Luna and the two tickets. She closed her backpack and looked at Luna.

“Yes, Luna,” answered Twilight Sparkle. “I have everything”

“But before we go we need to warn Celestia”, said Twilight Sparkle.

Luna had an idea. She entered In her bedroom.

Twilight Sparkle was confused. She stepped forward and lifted a front and rear hull. “Luna? What will you do?”

Luna returned to the door with a scroll and a quill. “I am writing a letter to Celestia that we will be outside the castle”

Twilight Sparkle was relieved. “Good idea, Luna. I would hate myself if Celestia worried about both of us because she didn’t know where we would be”

Luna stopped writing on the scroll. “Ready. I finished writing”

“What is written, Luna?” asked Twilight Sparkle.

Luna started reading. ”Dear Sister, me and Twilight will be out of the castle today because we’re going to a play. We will try not to delay, but we don’t know until what time the play will be. So, if you wake up and realize that we aren’t here at the castle yet, know that we are at the Canterlot theater. If you want you, you can and go see the play. Signed Luna”

“It’s quite explanatory, Luna,” said Twilight Sparkle. “But what will you do now with the scroll?”

Luna rolled the scroll before looking at Twilight Sparkle. “I intend to pass this letter under Celestia’s bedroom door”

“That’s a good idea, Luna,” said Twilight Sparkle, before getting confused. “But what if the scroll doesn’t go under the door?”

“Then, love. I will teleport the scroll to Celestia’s room”, replied Luna.

Twilight Sparkle looked uncertain. “Are you sure, Luna? What if she ended up waking up to the noise?”

“Twilight, my sister has a heavy sleep,” replied Luna. “She wouldn’t wake up even if I spoke to the Canterlot Royal Voice”

Twilight Sparkle still looked uncertain. “Wouldn’t it be better to open the door?”

“Then she will wake up, love”, replied Luna.

Twilight Sparkle didn’t understand why her mentor would wake up with the door slamming open, but she didn’t want to question.

Luna started to walk to Celestia’s room and Twilight followed her.

Arriving at Celestia’s bedroom door, Luna and Twilight looked at each other. Luna had a smile, while Twilight had a look of concern.

“Luna, are you sure you don’t prefer to open the door?” asked Twilight Sparkle in a low tone.

“I have sure, Twilight”, answered Luna in a low tone. “Trust me, love”

Twilight Sparkle decided to trust Luna and allowed her marefriend to do what she wanted to do.

Luna opened the letter, tried to pass down but failed. Luna looked at Twilight.

“Love, I fear I will have to teleport the letter to Celestia’s room”, said Luna.

Twilight Sparkle looked uncertain. Because Twilight was afraid Luna would make noise and wake Celestia.

Luna thought of Celestia’s room before she made the parchment disappear and began to walk, “done, love. Let’s go now”

Twilight Sparkle didn’t know if the teleportation spell teleported to Celestia’s room. “Luna, did you teleport the letter to Celestia’s room?”

“Yes, love”, answered Luna.

“Can I check to see if she’s really in her room?” asked Twilight Sparkle.

“Love, please,” asked Luna. “Trust me”

“But what if you teleported to the wrong place?” asked Twilight Sparkle.

Luna stopped walking and looked at Twilight. “Love, do you trust me?”

“Yes, Luna. I trust you”, answered Twilight Sparkle.

Luna went to Twilight Sparkle. “So trust me the letter is in Celestia’s room”

“But Luna…” tried to say Twilight Sparkle, but stopped when Luna kissed her cheek.

“Love, the kiss I gave you now on the cheek is proof that you can trust me”, said Luna.

Twilight Sparkle tried to believe what Luna said. “Okay, Luna. I will trust you”

“I’m glad you decided to believe me, love”, said Luna
