It was cold.
Dion was jolted awake by a piercing howl. He quickly sat up and opened his eyes.
Where the hell am I?
A full moon shined brilliantly in the night sky, peppered with small iridescent star lights that lit up surrounding area. A lone man sat square in the middle of a densely green forest floor, with tall trees towering high above.
Another howl screeched out; this time not a few feet behind him.
Dion’s eyes went wide with fear as he jumped up and booked it in the opposite direction, He ran as fast as he could, dodging incoming foliage to try and lose whatever was chasing close behind.
He slowed down after running for what seemed like hours. The howling had finally stopped as he found himself leaning against a staggeringly tall tree made from solid oak. Whispered chirps of distant crickets filled the cold forest air as the human struggled desperately to repay his lung's oxygen debt.
After a few minutes of panicked breathing and coughing, Dion could hear the gentle sound of running water beneath him. The man couldn’t believe his luck as he finally regained his breath and knelt on the riverbed. The pale moonlight lit up his face as he dunked his entire head into the water, taking long hearty gulps to quench his dying thirst.
Drying the excess water off his face with his shirt he found that his clothing had remained mostly intact during the chase, except for his left pant leg, which had been ripped up and tattered. He inspected his now exposed thigh to find about a two-inch-long bloody cut that had since clotted and dried up. He pooled a bit of the cool river water into his palm and washed away at the gash, an amazingly sharp pain erupting from the wound due to the sudden change of temperature.
A new feeling of fear overcame the human as his adrenaline subsided. He was desperately alone, hurt and scared in unfamiliar wilderness with no explanation as to how he got here. He scanned around the riverbed to find the faint glow of a yellow light far off in the distance.
Dion slowly walked towards the light, eventually reaching a small lantern attached to a wooden post that came up to his belly button. He found himself now standing on a well-traveled trail with hoof prints littering the dirt ground. They led directly forward, deep into the dark forest ahead. Shrugging his shoulders the man decided to follow the prints as he picked his slow walk up to a brisk jog.
The trail became populated with more light posts until he was standing at the very edge of the forest. He stopped on top of a rolling hill overlooking what seemed to be a small town. Dion sighed in relief as he quickly traveled down further to investigate.
The human walked down a wide dirt road as he approached a park. A grey fountain with sitting water was situated in the center.
On top of the fountain sat a rocky statue of a horse posturing triumphantly, carrying an orange flag in its mouth.
To his right was a cobblestone bridge arching over a small river. Foreign purple and gold painted shaped had been etched into the side of the stonework. A wooden gondola also sat alone on a hill in the distance, embellished in medieval-looking drapery and golden metal.
“Strange decor”, the human thought to himself as he walked closer toward the mysterious town.
“What the...” Dion said out loud as he found himself standing in front of an impressively tall building. It was covered in all kinds of pink and purple pillars, lights and adornments. Two white figures stood positioned at the very top, both resembling powerful stallions. The front of the building had a purple wooden door with both a top and bottom section.
This didn’t seem right. Dion had never seen architecture that looked anything like what was standing in front of him.
For heaven’s sake, it looked like a drawing straight out of a little girl’s fantasy picture book! He thought as he squatted down to more-closely inspect the entrance to the building. Dion would have to bend down pretty far to fit into the doorway and wondered if the people who lived here were just way shorter than he was.
He tried to look through the outside windows for any signs of life inside but instead found himself staring into a set of white blinds. He walked back to the door and decided to give it three gentle knocks.
Knock, Knock Knock.
“Hello, anyone there? I really could use some help”. Dion pleaded but to no avail. Feeling more desperate, he balled up his hands and began to bang on the doors with more force than before. The sudden impact from his pounding fists proved too powerful as the sound of broken, twisting metal came from inside.
The top half of the door creaked open slightly. He pushed it open wider and leaned in to get a better view, but lost his balance and clumsily fell in head-first with a hard thud.
“Fuuuck” Dion cursed as he raised his hand to the top of his forehead as he felt a small bump start to form.
Suddenly, the dark room erupted in a blinding white light. The human winced as he desperately covered his eyes.
“WHO’S THERE!? I AM ARMED AND QUITE DANGEROUS, LEAVE NOW!” A seemingly feminine voice boomed in front of Dion.
“AAAAAAHHHHH!! YOU AWFUL, HORRIBLE BEASTLY, BEASTLY BEAST! GET OUT, GET OUT!”
He was beaten hard from all sides with what felt like wooden spoons, each hit more relentless and powerful than the last.
“Wait! No more! I’m not here to hurt you! I just need help! Please!” Dion cried out, begging for the assault to finally stop.
He opened his eyes to reveal a small white horse, standing perfectly still in front of him.
“W-W-Wa-Wah” It was sitting motionless, trying to speak but no coherent words coming out.
Dion’s eyes went huge.
D-did that t-t-thing just t-talk?! It’s a fuckin’ horse!
This was no ordinary horse, however. It stood half as tall as him and was completely covered in short, white fur. A dull horn sat on its forehead with a luxurious rich blue mane spun tightly around its head. What looked like three separate diamonds had been tattooed on its right flank, with an elaborately crafted tail trailing behind its backside to match the style and color of the mane.
Its defensive weapons turned out to be a circle of wooden brushes, which now floated in mid-air, each encased in a glistening blue aura that also surrounded the horse's bright, glowing white horn. Dion deducted that the white flash from earlier came from her horn, which was now acting as the room's only light source.
And it’s eyes. They were intensely captivating. Inside swirling oceans of shimmering blue light sat two of the darkest, biggest pupils Dion had ever seen in his life.
All in all, the small white horse did look rather… familiar. Dion figured that it was a she, due to her girly voice, and appearance..
They both stood motionless, in awe of each other’s presence.
“What are you?” The small equine finally got out.
He stood there for a few seconds thinking of a response, but nothing came out.
“I’ve never seen your... kind in Equestria before… I suppose us ponies are quite used to seeing all different kinds of creatures, but you…” she paused.
“You’re rather different, aren’t you?” The pony flashed a wicked grin as she slowly circled him like a predator. The wooden brushes were now pointed directly at his head, so that if he tried anything their vicious beatings would continue at a moment’s notice.
She slowly looked him up and down for minutes, taking a keen interest in his fingers. She began to… smell him… and he swore he could hear low moans escaping the little pony as she went along with her inspection.
Dion sat horrifyingly still as he felt the female pony bumping and grinding her little equine body up into his, feeling him all over with her hooves. They weren’t long or bony like a typical horse, but short and rather stumpy. Her explorations came to a grinding halt as she stopped to slowly sniff the air around his groin. She suddenly thrust her muzzle deep into the crotch of the petrified human, taking long whiffs as she whimpered desperately and her hind legs shuttered.
The man was completely frozen in fear, only able to look around the room in hopes of finding a way out of this situation.
In the center of the floor sat a large, luscious set of pink curtains concealed what looked to be a center stage. Surrounding him were dozens of counter tops and cabinets, all filled with rolled fabric and sewing machines. The same two ponies that decorated the front of the building were also represented here as mannequin pony models wearing pastel-colored garments. This appeared to be some type of custom-made clothing store, for small horses…
The white equine finally managed to rip herself away from the human as she stood back to get one good final look.
“My name is Rarity, and this is my boutique. Seeing that you’ve rudely broken into by humble abode and quite frankly ruined a perfectly good night’s rest, I do believe some type of punishment is in order, don’t you?” That same wicked smile now crept even further up the corners of her lips. She looked downright evil.
Dion’s only response was a throaty gulp.
This was going to be a long night.

Alright, next chapter is coming out ASAP, within the next few days of the posting of the first chapter. It will, however, be clop, while the following chapter will follow the aftermath of the human's sudden arrival to Equestria.
