Chapters “This is unacceptable,” said King Aspen, speaking to his captain of the guard, “It has been a week now since we lost a group of our harvesters, and we still no trace of them has been found.”
The deer king of Thicket, also known as “The Heart of the Forest”, leaned back as he reflected over the matter at hand. Roughly seven days ago, a small group of does were sent into the wilds of the Everfree Forest to retrieve what would be the last harvest of the season. It was supposed to be a simple and routine gathering of fruits and vegetation for the upcoming change of season, but by that night everyone in the city noticed they weren’t returning. A search party was sent immediately upon notice, but all that was found was some damaged trees, smashed fruit pulp, and heavy hoofprints that were certainly not made from any beast of the forest.
Ever since, groups had been sent to scout around for the missing females, but they would either come back with nothing, or on one occasion not at all. Which was exactly what this meeting with his guard captain was about.
“Blackthorn, I’ve kept you in the city in case this was an attack against us, but now I have no choice but to send you to look for our missing citizens. Not only can I not put anyone else at risk, but the season is about to change and it will be dangerous for anyone untrained to go out of Thicket’s borders.”
Winter was scheduled as the following week, with the ponies so meticulous about the changing of the seasons. While the Everfree had some immunity to the manipulation of its weather, if the rest of Equestria was in a state of winter, it would be as well.
“I understand, King Aspen.” said Blackthorn. He was just as concerned as his lord about the missing does, and while his duty to protect the city was important, so too was finding it’s lost citizens and bringing them back home. “I will get two of my finest soldiers and begin the hunt now; wherever they are, I will bring them back.”
“I’m counting on you,” replied Aspen, “Bring them, and yourselves, back safely.” Blackthorn gave Aspen a small salute before walking out of the throne room as quickly as royal decorum would allow.
Within the hour, Blackthorn was heading for the city gate, followed by two does under his command, one named White Rose and another named Birch, both higher ranking officers of Thicket’s guard force.
While it was not something a guard captain should do, Blackthorn occasionally thought on the feminine features of his two companions. Birch was a modestly attractive brown deer with short trimmed hair whose skills were mainly in tracking. She was fairly slender, like most deer, but had a firm muscle tone that was the results of her work as a guard. Not really Blackthorn’s type, not that he was looking for a mate when he put his duty to Thicket above all else, but not a doe he would refuse to share a bed with. Due to her perhaps being the best tracker Thicket had, she had already been sent out before and knew where the trail went cold.
White Rose on the other hand was a very attractive albino doe. She had flowing, neck length hair that was only a shade darker than her fur. She also had some nicely curved hips, and her bust was a size bigger than Birch’s. Not that Blackthorn had been comparing the females, but this was just something a male takes notice of when around women consistently. The reason for her coming along was that she was more accustomed to colder climates than most others, which the forest was rapidly changing into. Seeing that it might be a few days till they returned, she seemed the best choice to bring along.
They were all traveling sparsely, carrying a few days worth of dried food rations, their armor, and their weapons. Their equipment was made of a smoothed and polished wood material made from oak that had been treated with the deer’s plant-based alchemical potions to make it as strong as steel, but half as heavy. The last thing they carried on their person was a vial of another such potion, one each, which could be used to grow plants quickly if need be.
The trio entered the forest, their task the only thing on their minds, and made their way to where Birch last tracked the does. “So any idea what we are up against?” Blackthorn asked, expecting a fight based on the reports.
“Not exactly,” Birch replied, “The tracks are certainly not from the ponies, so we can’t blame them for this invasion of our lands or the disappearance of our people. The closest thing I could tell is that it was some sort of bovine species.”
“So, yak, maybe?” White said aloud, curious how a group of yaks could infiltrate Equestria to get into Everfree unnoticed. Deer were to some lengths xenophobic, but news throughout Equestria did get to them, though often not vice versa.
“Could be yaks or minotaur,” Blackthorn added, “But both are crude, barbaric creatures who would have a hard time traveling the forest undetected.”
“Whatever it is, we will deal with them.” Birch said, determined to finally track down her quarry. How either brutish race could avoid her detection for so long was an insult to her abilities, one the female soldier would rectify.
After about an hour’s walk, they all arrived at a small clearing in the forest, a place the deer had cultivated in order to grow food, using what was perhaps the best soil Everfree had to offer. However, it didn’t stop here. This place had long since been plundered and destroyed, and the missing deer taken away. Birch directed her compatriots out of the ruined garden, to the trail she had found before.
“We’re gonna have to go a bit deeper into the forest,” she said, pushing away some brush, “The trail goes on for a while, and then goes cold. Be careful though, there is a… bit… of…”
“Is something wrong?” Blackthorn asked, seeing that the doe had become distracted.
“It can’t be…” she replied, releasing the foliage in her hand, stepping a foot away from where she stood. “Look here, a hoof print.”
“Well, yes. There were hood prints all over the garden.” White Rose said, but understood that if Birch was curious about something like this, there had to be more to it than meets the eye.
“Yes, but this one is fresh…” Birch said, able to tell from her training the difference between new and old tracks, “And it’s heading… away from the garden.” She went ahead, following the tracks a bit to see where they lead, “The intruders must have come back to see if they missed anything. Then they headed… Those bastards, those tracks from before were going in an entirely different direction. They were able to cover their tracks and lead us astray.”
“Clever for a bunch of brutes,” Blackthorn said, curious as to how they could have tricked an experienced tracker like Birch. It wasn’t impossible, but one would have to know what to look out for in order to pull off such a feat, and neither of the bovine species they assumed were responsible for this had the kind of subtlety to do it, “But it seems like they weren’t able to pull it off twice. Now we know where to go. Good work, Birch.”
Blackthorn went to the tracks, checking to see which direction they went. He had a pretty good knowledge of Everfree’s layout, thus had a good idea where they were heading.
“They look to be heading towards a cave not far from here.” he said assuredly, “A manticore den, but with their strength, they probably could have run them off. Perhaps they’ve taken up shelter there.”
“Then that’s the way we’re heading,” said White.
Birch stepped forward, keeping an eye on every detail of their surroundings, “Follow me. The path might still veer away, and now that we have a good trail we need to find there creatures as soon as possible.”
The other two deer agreed, but as they traveled, they found that the trail was incredibly easy to follow. Where the first one was expertly made to throw them off the trail, this one was so careless that it actually got easier to track as it went along, leading them to the manticore cave as Blackthorn had expected. The stag didn’t know whether to condemn or thank the laziness of whoever made this, as they showed no care over what plants they trampled under hoof, but without it they might not have been able to find the lost deer.
As the three got close to their destination, they started to hear the sounds of life. Loud, crude voices talking amongst one another, laughing loudly, almost announcing their presence to every creature in the forest. The deer noticed it yards away from where the intruders were, and were able to sneak in closer under cover of their boisterous noise.
“There they are,” Blackthorn whispered as he finally caught sight of the bovine creatures. Large, muscular bulls whose body mass was over two times that of an adult deer. “Minotaur, as we expected.”
“But what are they doing?” Birch asked, curiously watching the barely clothed bovine creatures, each wearing light leather armoring that left large portions of their flesh exposed. They had built a campsite in the forest by clearing the area around the cave of trees, seemingly overnight, else such a disturbance in the forest would have been noticed much sooner.
The trio moved in closer, allowing them a better look at the encampment. The first thing they noticed was that the minotaur were not alone, as several deer were with them, all does, doing what looked to be enforced chores around the campsite, as their arms and legs were shackled together at the wrists and ankles, respectively.
“There are the deer that went missing.” said White, giving a knee jerk comment at the sight of them.
“No… These ones are different.” Blackthorn said, having a better position to see the minotaur’s captives.
While they were deer, they weren’t any that Blackthorn recognized from Thicket. There features were different, parts of them being less sleek in spots than his species, and each being covered in strange markings that looked like some sort of tribal tattoos on their exposed skin, the captive deer practically naked, save for their chains, a collar around their necks, and lengthy open shawls that barely covered their bodies from the chill in the air.
“I’ve heard that there were deer outside of the Everfree, but I’ve never seen one before.” Birch said. None of the others had either, as deer xenophobia extended to others of their kind to some degree, with each sticking to their own kind in their own nations.
Curious though, the Thicket deer took a moment to watch the interactions of these new cervids. They watched as they went about their slave tasks, which at the moment seemed to be making food for their masters. One was at a large pot, stirring a stew being cooked at a low flame, while others filled up bowl after bowl to deliver to the minotaur, who would practically chug the contents before sending their server back to get more.
The minotaur didn’t just use the does to bring them food and cook though, as a few were kept close to the bunch of bovines to serve as entertainment. Not with song or dance, but their bodies, as the large brutes freely touched them as they pleased. Hands would disappear under the sheets of cloth the deer wore, completely unhindered by it as they groped whatever part of their slaves that pleased them.
“How barbaric,” White Rose commented, watching one minotaur grab a doe by the face, fingers and thumb gripping her cheeks, and forcing a deep kiss upon her.
She could see the tongue of the male, long and thick, push past his prisoner’s lips, and even cause a bit of her throat to bulge out before vanishing behind her collar. It was both vile and insulting to the doe, showing that these creatures only saw the females here less as people, and more as things for their comfort and amusement.
“If this is how they are treating those deer, that has to be what they intend for those they captured, too.” Blackthorn said aloud, putting the facts together to form a full picture.
These bovine came here to enslave some of the citizens of Thicket, put them to work so their lives could be easier, and violate the females in this humiliating fashion. The thought passed the stag’s mind that it could even go beyond mere touching, as the minotaur were eyeing the unfamiliar does as they passed in ways that could only be called perverse, and many of them had rather sizable swells in the crotch of their pants and loincloths they were wearing. The only thing that dissuaded this idea was that there was no way that Blackthorn could imagine that would allow for creatures as small as a deer to be… used in such a way, as he could tell that the minotaur's sex organs were massive, as their pants did little to hide the bulges within them.
Still, it was clear that these deer were being exploited and abused, and seeing that happen to one of their kind, though not from their kingdom, was a great insult to the Thicket deer. They wanted to attack the minotaur on the spot, but each knew that wasn’t what they should do. While not entirely impossible for them to defeat these large, muscular creatures, outnumbered ten to three as they were, it would be foolish to not get others.
As much as he hated to leave, Blackthorn knew what he had to do. “We have to go get the others so we can…”
“‘So you can’ what?!” a bellowing voice called out from the cave, cutting off Blackthorn’s sentence, as well as causing all sound in the encampment to come to a halt. Almost as if choreographed, every head belonging to a deer turned to the direction of the cave entrance, including the ones belonging to the three hiding in the foliage beyond the clearing.
What they all saw was the owner of the roaring voice, a minotaur that was much larger than the others. While the other bulls were muscular, seemingly by nature, this one had a body like chiseled stone. His form was near physical peak for his species, his biceps alone looking like they could crush rocks between them.
“Hey!” he called out again, looking right in the direction of where the three were hiding. “I’m talking to the three of you! Or did ya think that I didn’t know you were here?!”
The three Thicket deer were shocked. They had done nothing to reveal themselves. No sounds were made, they were sure they didn’t trip some trap, and yet the one who found them out was the one furthest away from where they were, inside a cave no less, where they shouldn’t have had a chance to see them. If it were any other species, magic would have been an answer to this, but minotaur were not known to possess magic of any sort.
“Blackthorn, we have to go.” said Birch, realizing that they now lacked the one edge they had over the minotaur that could have allowed them to beat them had they faced them in combat.
“I know,” the stag replied, “Let’s-”
“Trying to crawl away, are ya?!” the giant minotaur called out again, stepping even closer to where Blackthorn and his subordinates were. “You can go ahead and run, but if you do, you’ll never see the deer we’ve captured ever again! By the time you get to that pitiful city of yours and get back, we’ll be long gone!”
Blackthorn questioned if that was even possible - that a troop of minotaur could pack up, leave the forest, taking a couple dozen deer with them in tow, and somehow get through Equestria proper with their kidnapped prizes. Normally he would say this was a bluff, but looking at the evidence before him, these creatures did manage to get this deep into Equestria already carrying several enslaved deer with them. He didn’t know how they could have done that, but it couldn’t be taken for granted that this minotaur’s words were not as empty as Blackthorn would hope.
“Change of plan,” he said, “I need you both to get back to Thicket as quickly as possible. I’ll stay here and keep them occupied for as long as I can. If I get beat, then I can at least try to see which way they go. If they take me with them, I’ll leave you clues to where we're heading.”
“I don’t like this plan.” White Rose said, knowing that it would be impossible for them to gather the guard of Thicket in short enough time to help Blackthorn. He was intending to sacrifice himself, his health at least, in order to ensure that they could eventually save the captives.
“You don’t have to like it,” Blackthorn replied, keeping and eye on the presumed leader of this band of bovine, “But you have to follow it. Now go.”
Not giving the does any more time to think about it, Blackthorn stepped out of his hiding place and into the clearing.
“Fine, I’m no coward.” Blackthorn said in bravado, his nerves tensing up as the minotaur around him got to their hooves, while that large one still made his way straight for him. His mere mass creating tremors by simply walking, while a shadow big enough to cast the stag before him into darkness was created just by standing half a yard away.
Back in the brush, White Rose sent a fist into the dirt beneath her. “Damn it,” she said, understanding that this had gone beyond her control, and so to not ruin what Blackthorn was doing, she would have to obey his orders. “Come. We have to go.”
The two does got to their hooves and turned to sprint back to Thicket, darting off into the forest as quickly as their bodies would allow. They had nothing else on their minds, save for the thought of getting back before Blackthorn was seriously harmed, as unlikely as that was. Their respect and dedication to their captain was unmatched, to some degree being more than they had to the king himself, so they made every effort to complete what he commanded of them.
It was perhaps because of this that neither deer noticed when a massive arm jutted out from behind a tree, smacking both of the does in the muzzle, eyes, and forehead as if they had run face first into a stone wall. The bodies of the two flown into the air as their heads stayed in place, everything below the neck caught in the momentum. Soon they were hitting the ground hard, landing on their backs as gravity reclaimed them.
“So Titanius was right,” said a minotaur as he stepped out into view, covered in mud and leaves. “Just wait here and two doe bitches right to me.”
The minotaur’s words were lost on Birch and White Rose, who were reeling on the ground from the pain they were experiencing. Their armor, sturdy and resistant as it was, did little to help soften the impact of the fall they both took, or stop the sheer agony that was going through their skulls.
The minotaur watched as the two women at his hooves as they grasped the parts of their faces that had impacted with his arm, comparing their features with one another. “Shame I was told to only bring one of you back. You’d both do good to keep me company tonight. Orders are orders though.” The minotaur stepped over the brown deer’s body, placing himself right at her middle. “But don’t you worry. I’ll make sure you and I have some fun once this is all over.”
Birch groaned at his words, but was able to pull her hands away from her eyes as the mountain of finely cultivated beef lifted a leg up, hovering his hoof over her stomach for a mere moment before dropping it down onto her vulnerable stomach.
“Sweet dreams, bitch.” he smugly said to the doe as her breath was removed forcibly from her lungs. She coughed and sputtered as she did her best to breathe deep, but it was as if her body was rejecting oxygen altogether, exhaling it as quick as she could inhale while taking the barest amount of it in the process. Within seconds, she blacked out, and only in this state did her body accept the very act of breathing.
“Birch, no!” White Rose stumbled to get to her hooves as quickly as possible, dazed as she was.
The minotaur watched, amused at her struggle, until she nearly found her footing. At that point, he literally took things into his own hands as he grabbed the albino deer by the head, fingers clutching her cranium while his palm covered her eyes.
“Settle down,” the minotaur mocked, “I think you’ve had enough for one day.”
White wasn’t about to just give up, and instinctively, she reached for the sword at her hip. With a single motion, she was able to retrieve it from its scabbard, but just as it unsheathed, the minotaur used his free hand to smack the sword out of her grasp, receiving a cut in the process, but sending the sharpened blade of steel wood a yard away from its owner.
“I’m warning you, doe,” The minotaur said, now a bit angry that he had been hurt by the deer’s actions, “Settle down, or I’m gonna hurt you.”
“Like that matters to a vile creature like you!” White Rose, disarmed, dazed, and all but defeated, resorted to scratching at and sending her fists into the bulky arm that held her, the training she underwent as a guard escaping her in this desperate time.
The minotaur didn’t release, though he wasn’t impervious to her attempts. As feeble as her attacks against him were, he did have to stifle himself from making pained noises as her nails dug into his skin. “I’m warning you one last time. Stop!”
The deer did no such thing, and even started to kick in her panic, her long, slender cervid legs easily reaching their mark. Just as before, it did no real damage to the minotaur save for cause him some light pain, but her resistance had finally took its toll on the bovine.
Fed up with her aggressive actions, the bull finally yelled, “Ok, you asked for it!”
The minotaur shook White Rose around a bit to disorient the deer, then as quickly as he could, he released her head and took hold of her arms at the shoulders. With his inherent bovine strength combines with the doe’s comparatively light weight, he was able to lift her right off her hooves, as if she were practically weightless.
“Put me down!” White Rose yelled at the minotaur once her world stopped spinning.
The minotaur, of course, paid her demand no heed, and instead pulled the female into a close embrace, hugging her against his pectorals in a manner that pinned White Rose’s arms between his body and hers.
“One last chance. Settle down or I’ll-!”
White Rose did the only thing she could do in such a position, and cut the bull’s sentence short by delivering a headbutt right into the minotaur’s face, slamming her helmet right into his nose.
The minotaur was stunned, taking a moment to register what White Rose had done. It took a drop of blood to dribble out of his nostril to understand what had happened, and when the bull felt the wetness dribble down to his upper lip, he became furious. Without any more words, he flexed every muscle in his arms, squeezing the doe he held as tightly as possible.
From White’s perspective, the minotaur was starting to crush her between his rock-hard chest and solid biceps. The pressure she felt was immense, a ring of force getting ever smaller around her every second. She tried to struggle, tried to scream, but her movements were too restricted, and her yells were limited to just loud grunts and yelps as she felt herself become more and more compressed. It got to a point where she thought the minotaur was so enraged that he was trying to kill her, squeeze the life out of her for her defiance. How she would come to wish that was the case.
With the last ounce of strength she had, White Rose squirmed in desperation, until the minotaur tossed her up a little higher in his hold. She was now face to face with the bull, arms still pinned as his own were placed at the dead center of her spine. The doe stared the minotaur right in the eye, him coldly staring right back at her, just before the moment that sealed her fate.
A split second was all it took, and the minotaur who hadn’t even been remotely close to using his full strength doubled the power of already his vicelike hold. White’s senses exploded on the spot, every part of her becoming overloaded as her spine curved backwards much further than she had thought possible. A loud, internal “crack” filled her ears, resonating through her body, accompanied by an intense pain like none other she had ever felt before. Her sight flashed into pure light, her surroundings vanishing into a void of white. Her tongue and nasal passage begun to tingle, being filled with a copperish, yet unrecognizable taste and smell.
In this moment, the doe let out a mixture of a scream and a yelp, loud, yet short, and so filled with undefinable emotions that it could only be a reaction to this new, overwhelming sensation she felt. As quickly as it all hit her though, so too did it vanish. The intense, world-shattering pain was gone in an instance, though still echoed in her now frightened and panicked mind.
“There we go,” the minotaur said calmly, no longer having a reason to be frustrated with the doe. As far as he was concerned, she had been pacified. “I should have knocked you both out like Titanius said. Would have saved a lot of trouble.”
White Rose tried to tell off the minotaur, show him that what he did had not broken her, but she found quickly that the bull had done just that. All that she could get out of her lips were soft groans, her lips and tongue having a hard time moving for her. In fact, her entire body was not responding to her thoughts.
“I bet you’re wondering about why you can’t move,” the minotaur said, repositioning the doe into his hands, holding her up by her armpits as he effortlessly lifted her limp body as if it were a doll. “A little trick we learned to disable rowdy females. Put enough pressure on their spines, and you’ll dislocate a vertebra or two. Sends a shock right through ya, and makes it so ya can’t move until they’re put back in place.”
The albino doe’s eyes widened, one of the few things she could still move freely, as her breathing rapidly picked up pace. Now she was truly frightened, being completely defenseless to anything the bovine wished to do to her, and not knowing how long he would keep her like this or what he would do to her in this state.
“Don’t worry your pretty little head,” he said, tossing the paralyzed doe’s body over his shoulder, “We’ll get ya fixed up back at the camp. Wouldn’t be right if ya didn’t feel what I’m about to do to ya.”
The minotaur laughed at his future plans for the deer, which terrified White even more. He was going to torture her in some way, and make sure that she would feel every second of it. No doubt they would restrain her beforehand, make her unable to fight back as they continued breaking her down physically and mentally. She had never been put into a position like this before, and her mind raced with nightmarish imagery of what they could do to her.
“Hmmm…” the minotaur hummed as his laughter ended, “What’s this?”
White Rose couldn’t feel it, but she watched as her body was moved about slightly.
“Oh my, looks like you enjoyed that hug. You got sex juices flowing right down your legs.”
While White Rose couldn’t see it, the minotaur was looking right at a clear, sticky fluid that connected his fingers together with a string made of the substance. There was no doubt what it was.
“Climaxed from the pain, did ya?” the minotaur said, making his way back to the camp. “Wouldn’t be the first pain slut we ever had. Well… maybe I just forced it out of ya. It’s something I guess we’ll have to test.”
White Rose moaned as he confirmed her fears, this time able to make it much more audible than before. The time she would spend in the hands of these barbarians was sure to be miserable. However, she noticed that the bull had completely forgotten about Birch, leaving her behind. Hope was not lost yet, so long as she was able to slip away and get back to Thicket.
Back at the minotaur encampment, Blackthorn readied his sword as the whole herd of bull men made their way over to him. Unaware as to what he had sent his subordinates into, he was ready to go along with the plan.
“Come at me, you beasts.” he said, knowing that he had no chance to win this fight.
One on one, he might stand a chance to win, but by his count there were eleven in total, and his agility and skill could only compensate for so much when up against these mountains of muscles. He wasn’t about to surrender though, both for his own pride and in order to give White Rose and Birch some distance.
“Boy,” the large minotaur leader said, standing in front of his men, “I know that this fight is going to happen, one way or another, but you and I both know you don’t have a chance. Sure, you’ll get in a hit or two, but you’re going to be sorry after.”
“Is there a point to this?” Blackthorn said, taking a few steps back to keep the minotaur just out of sword length. He was stalling, trying to assess the best approach to this battle, futile as it was.
“I suppose not,” the large minotaur said, “But remember these moments well, for they are your last moments of freedom.”
As expected, the minotaur planned to capture him and turn him into a slave. “You can try to enslave me, but you’ll never get away with wha-”
The minotaur made his move, jutting himself towards the buck, arm extended to grab Blackthorn. The stag’s reflexes were impeccable though, and he easily moved out of the way of the incoming hand, finding an opening in the minotaur’s stance where he could land his blade. A quick thrust was all it took to send the sharp end of the sword into the minotaur’s leg.
“GRAH!”
The minotaur cried out in pain, and for a second there was a smile on Blackthorn’s face. That smile faded quickly though, as right before he was able to retrieve his weapon, the minotaur grabbed the buck by his sword arm. Blackthorn was expecting him to flinch or recoil from the pain, but the bull powered through it without hesitation, giving Blackthorn no time to get away.
“Ouch, you alright Titanius?” one of the other minotaur asked, coming to his side.
“Yeah, that looks pretty deep.” said another.
“It’s hurting to stand at the moment,” he replied, holding tightly to Blackthorn’s arm as the deer tried again and again to pull away, “Hope this doesn’t give me a limp. Could you guys maybe…”
“Right, we’re on it.”
The remaining minotaur surrounded Blackthorn, a few grabbing his arms while Titanius sat on the ground. Stunningly, those strange does he had seen earlier were running to him with what looked to be bandages and medicine for the large bovine. Not only was it surprising to see them rushing to his aid, but so quickly too. It was almost like they were anticipating it.
“You really shouldn’t have done that.” said a new minotaur, stepping in front of Blackthorn with a readied fist. “Cause now this is gonna get a whole lot harder for you.”
The next thing Blackthorn knew, the fist was launched right into his face, followed by a moment of blunt pain, and then darkness.

Just a little something I whipped up for "Deer Domination December", a project me and Scylla the Kelpie have been working on every december for the past few years. This story will be a little 4 parter featuring the Everfree deer from the IDW comics, having them in an encounter with the minotaur featured in EqTS, whom when not helping Schorl keep her club in check, are active slavers in the world of ponies. Hoping to also use this as a means to give a little detail to how they function as a tribe, but I'll have to see if I can fit that all in. I released two chapters at first, so we still have two chapters to go to see how in depth we can get with them. Hope you all enjoy.
The blow Blackthorn took knocked him out for some time. There were times that he slipped in and out of consciousness, but the throbbing sting that covered his face as he made weary attempts to awaken made him retreat back to the void.

Aside from the furnishings made to accommodate the minotaur, bars had been set up in several places where the cave’s natural walls would make good cells for captives. “You could try to beat me into submission, but I will not break. I’m a trained guard of the Kingdom of Thicket, and my duty will not allow me to bend to the will of barbarians.” Blackthorn smirked, “Besides, I will not be your captive for long. As we speak, two of my most trusted soldiers are telling the king your location and will be bringing a small army here to decimate your little band of raiders."
Titanius laughed, “Is that so? Then I suppose you haven’t turned your head far enough that way yet.”
The minotaur pointed to a spot in the cave, and Blackthorn felt compelled to see what he was talking about. He froze when he saw one of his subordinates captured, and fairing no better than any other doe outside of a cage.

They were once a neighboring culture in these lands, able to harmonize their magic with the crystals that are rich in Equestria. They left long ago before I was even born, when ponies came to this land and brought with them the windigo, and sought out a land far away where no one could intrude on their territory again. I didn’t even know they existed anymore.”
“Father…” spoke a buck standing at Aspen’s side, his son, Prince Bramble, “Are these deer allies of ours?”
“Not exactly,” King Aspen replied, “While we once lived in close proximity to one another, we and the Antlerteans never got along. At best, it was a relationship much like the one we have with the ponies. They knew we existed, they respected our territory and our power, but we did not associate our kind with theirs unless absolutely necessary. My grandfather spoke to them before they left, and from his account they wouldn’t even tell him where they were planning to go, just cursing the ponies for encroaching on their lands. That was a thousand years ago.”
“It seems like their plan didn’t work,” Bramble noted, “Something much worse than ponies found them.”
“Yes, and perhaps through them found their way to us,” Aspen dwelled on the thought of the Antlerteans’ return, “Birch, did you see these minotaur carrying any strange items?”
“Strange?” she asked, not sure what he would be referring to.
“The Antlerteans, as I said before, had an attunement to crystals. They could charge the stones with their magic, and use them to power devices of their invention.”
“What kind of devices?” Bramble asked, his curiosity peeking.
“I’m… not sure.” Aspen said, looking a bit worried, “The stories I was told of them didn’t specify, but their magic creations were part of the reason our two cultures both respected and didn’t get along with one another. These devices, while not in the league of alicorn magic, allowed them to make things that we considered anathema to nature. Worse, the crystal batteries and these devices could be used by anyone. Some ponies managed to find some after the Antlerteans left, and only stopped using them when their crystal batteries died out. If these invaders have acquired that power through them, then we might be in trouble.”
“I… didn’t see any strange devices.” said Birch as she reflected on the event, “But the minotaur were acting... strange. Despite being the lumbering beasts they are, they were able to hide their tracks from me until now. They were also aware when we arrived, and what direction me and White Rose were heading when we ran.”
“It’s possible that all could be explained by the Antlertean’s magic…” Aspen said with dread, “Or… no, that would be impossible.”
“What would?” Bramble asked, seeing a moment of fear reflected in his father’s eye.
“There is a third deer tribe, Reindeer. They had more varied magic than the other two tribes. Some can fly, some can create ice formations, but a small few can see into the past, present, and future. It would be impossible for them to have enslaved a Reindeer with the power to see the future though, as they always have avoided trouble using those powers.”
“Every deer I saw was Antlertean,” Birch assured the king.
“I still don’t like this…” Aspen said, “And with this being the first day of snowfall, our magic is weakened. As much as it pains me to say this, I feel that we will have to cease any attempts of rescue for now.”
“Father!” Bramble objected.
“Prince Bramble,” Birch said, looking disheartened, but understanding the King’s position, “The enemy have shown that a single one of them can best several of us at a time in a fight, that they are cunning enough to gain the element of surprise, and have already captured our guard captain, one of our strongest warriors.”
“It’s not that I’ve given up hope,” said Aspen, “With Blackthorn there, he might be able to find a way to rescue our citizens from the inside. However, we have lost enough troops to these raiders already, and what few we have left must stay here to protect Thicket in case they get the nerve to attack our home. It might seem heartless, but until winter passes-”
“Father, that will take months!” Bramble exclaimed, knowing that in that time the minotaur would retreat back to wherever they came from with their prisoners.
Aspen raised his hand to quiet his son, “Until winter passes, no one is to leave the safety of Thicket. That is final.”
Bramble looked at his father shocked. The king was known to act on a whim, and occasionally make decisions based on emotion instead of logic, but this decision seemed far too guided by fear in the prince’s eyes. Blackthorn, capable as he was, wouldn’t be able to do anything while imprisoned. If he could, then he and the other deer would be back by now. Upset with Aspen’s decision, Bramble stormed out of the throne room to return to his chambers.
“Prince Bramble...” Birch said as he passed her.
“Let him go.” said Aspen, relenting to his son’s anger at his decision, “He just needs time to calm his emotions. So long as he doesn’t try to leave the city, he is free to do as he pleases.”
Later that day, when the sun set and the city of Thicket was covered in shadow, the prince snuck out of the castle. This was not the first time he had done this, being the adventurous type and having ventured into the forest many times in his youth. He knew the guard routes, he knew which exits were least guarded, and he kept a set of civilian clothing hidden away so he could blend in with the populous outside of the castle walls. From there, he’d just have to make his way out the gate of the city, which wasn’t too much of a problem with Blackthorn currently gone. The irony wasn’t lost on him that the only person who could have possibly stopped him was the one he was trying to save.
From what Birch said, it wouldn’t be too hard to find the encampment where the minotaur had been found. She said it was at a manticore nest close to the last harvest grounds, a place that he knew of in his explorations of the forest. His plan was to get there, cause a commotion that would distract the minotaur, and then rescue the captured deer while they were dealing with it. How he planned to do this was to use the alchemical plant magic of his people.
Bramble wasn’t ignorant to what his father had warned though, and knew that their magic was indeed weaker in the winter season, when plants shriveled and stayed dormant under the snow. He was old enough to have dealt with this problem of magical impotency in the past, but believed that the best way to solve this was to simply make a stronger batch of their plant growth potion. While the creatures were very often more physically imposing that actually dangerous, he found that there was little sign of anything roaming around as he approached the cave. The actions of the plants was disarming at first, but after getting over the initial shock, Bramble’s reaction was predictable, even to a nearly mindless plant. Now that area was completely vulnerable and exposed, and nothing was going to stop the vines from entering.

It frightened him that he could see his own species’ females slipping into that role, but not nearly as much as he was for the males of Thicket. The ones that were captured were present, locked behind bars, but from what Bramble could see, there were none here of the Antlertean variety, and seeing that the minotaur had far more interest in the females, he became nervous of why that was the case.
Overall, the prince was terrified of the fate that could befall his people, and was really hoping that his father was right, that Blackthorn was planning an escape this very moment. From the way it looked, only he could possibly find a way out of this for all of them, or even any of them. As the buck kept moving forward, eyes scanning the holding cages where the males were kept, he searched them all to find the guard captain. He was unable to find him in the cages, but did eventually spot the stag he was seeking once he finally reached where the minotaur were leading him, which was before the leader of their raiding group.
“So this is the intruder I’ve heard so much about,” said Titanius, sitting on a chair made of solid rock.
The large bovine sat with commanding posture as he looked at his newly acquired prize, his dick being attended to by the mouth of the only Antlertean stag in the entire cave, the sight of which dismissed one of Bramble’s fears, though just slightly seeing that this was the only male Antlertean present. “I’m not just a stag,” Bramble confirmed, “I’m the prince of Thicket.”
Bramble said that as if it would mean something to the minotaur, but the moment he stated his title Blackthorn groaned. The older stag knew that as a prisoner, such a title would do him more harm than good.
“Oooohhh, you’re royalty. You hear that boys, we have a prince gracing us with his presence.”
The other minotaur laughed, and Bramble understood quickly that they didn’t respect his royal lineage one bit.
“I only bring it up because I feel that it would be in the best interest of both our groups that we started some negotiations.” Bramble said, his desperate attempt to get some leniency from the bovines completely transparent, “You have a lot of our people captive, and it’s not hard to see what you want from us, but isn’t there some way to work this all out?”
“My young, royal captive,” replied Titanius, taking great joy from the prince’s feeble, yet amusing, attempts to help his people, “You are in no position to try to bargain, and if I’m not mistaken, it was you who wanted to attack us beforehand. Now that you’ve been captured, you’ve decided it would be best to strike a deal? Besides, the minotaur have attempted to negotiate with the lesser races in the past, and it has never worked out.”
“Bramble, don’t try to bargain with these barbarians!” Blackthorn said, trying to keep the prince from doing something careless, “They can’t be trusted, and they can’t be reasoned wi-!”
“That's quite enough, Domitius,” Titanius said, clamping a hand around Blackthorn’s muzzle, “The boy is old enough to make his own decisions.”
“Domitius?” Bramble questioned.
“Ah, yes, you probably know my slave by some other name.” Titanius said, bemused, “In my culture, we tend to rename our slaves to welcome them into our house. Domitius here is one of my prizes for this successful raid, and will serve me for as long as we both live.”
Blackthorn made attempts to pull himself away from the minotaur’s grasp, but as he resisted the bovine male pulled out a small box with a switch on it. Flipping the toggle on the box, a low buzzing sound could be heard coming from Blackthorn’s direction. Whatever it was, it agitated the stag fiercely, causing him to moan into the minotaur’s hand as he started to move his body about as if it were impossible to hold still.
“In fact,” the minotaur continued, “My king said I may select any three males I found to my liking to keep, regardless of their title.”
Bramble gulped. It didn’t take a master of deduction to understand the implications of the minotaur’s statement.
“However, your friend here is wrong. We are not as impossible to bargain with as he implies, and I can be trusted to abide by my word. Release him from his bonds.”
One of the other minotaur stepped behind Bramble, and did as Titanius commanded. It didn’t take but a second to get the cuffs off, returning freedom of movement to the deer’s arms. Bramble took a moment to rub his wrists, before instinctively covering his crotch when he spotted Titanius eyeing it.

Bramble nodded in reply, having no real choice in the matter. The minotaur was going to call him that whether he accepted it or not, and refusing the name would only lead to a shift punishment. It was just a nickname, after all, and he was always going to be Bramble, so it didn’t matter what these bovines referred to him as. The minotaur surrounding him started making remarks using the name, but for some reason, it was actually less embarrassing to hear the minotaur make comments about Rubus and not Bramble .
“Sergius, bring me Rubus’ reins,” Titanius commanded his Antlertean serving stag, to which Sergius presented them to his master immediately, giving the leather straps a hard pull to move Bramble along, graciously handing the prince off to his new master. “I’m going to have some alone time with my new pet.”
Bramble’s eyes went wide when he heard that, assuming that the minotaur was already breaking his promise to not violate him.
“Don’t worry, boy,” the minotaur said, catching sight of the buck’s fear, “As I said, I’ll keep my word, but that only means I won’t stick my dick in you. Believe me, there are plenty of other ways we can enjoy each other’s company.”
Bramble's knees buckled for a moment as the fear in his mind grew. Seeing what these minotaur were doing to the others, he could only imagine that horrible things were in store for him. What kinds of tortures awaited him at the hands of this creature, he would only learn in due time.
“Sergius, take care of Domitius while me and Rubus get acquainted. As for the rest of you,” said Titanius as he looked to his fellow raiders, “Show’s over. Get back to taming those does. They need to be nice and timid by the time they’re back in Minopolis.”
The other minotaur grumbled that they wouldn’t be able to watch the deer prince get broken in, but returned back to the task of breaking their own deer captives to their will. With the others returning to business, Titanius gave the reins in his hand a tug, wordlessly instructing the buck at the end of the lead to follow him with a jerk of the deer’s head. Bramble complied, and followed his master deeper into the cave, further from any hope of escape, and closer to his fate of enslavement and sexual servitude.

With Blackthorn captured, and his own plan a failure, the prince had little hope that this outcome wouldn’t happen, since his father had already shown a reluctance to go on the attack against these invaders.
“And here we are,” Titanius announced, the pair arriving to the very back of the cave.
There, a sizable chamber within the stone structure that had been furnished with a large bed made of straw, a thick blanket draped over the material to prevent its ends from poking whoever laid atop it, with a wooden post sticking up from the ground next to it about four foot high. The only other furnishings were the crystal lights that lined the walls of the cave, a curtain to divide this part of the cavern from the rest of it, and several crates worth of slave bindings placed just outside this makeshift room.
The minotaur wasted no time dragging Bramble into the room, tossing the prince face down onto the straw bed, and tying his reins to the post in a knot. Bramble quickly flipped himself on his back, keeping a close eye on what the minotaur would do next. Without a word, Titanius walked right out of the room, closing the curtains behind him as he left the deer alone with only his thoughts. The buck was relieved that the minotaur left him, but couldn’t help but wonder what he was doing. The curtain was thin enough that he could see the minotaur’s shadow from the other side as he left, but that was only for a moment before he moved away from the entrance. He couldn’t have just left him there, so he had to be off getting something or someone.

It wasn’t like they weren’t going to see him, and they certainly weren’t going to let him just walk out of the cave. Bramble couldn’t help but to fall back on the terrible notion that escaping on his own was impossible, and that, for now at least, it was better to obey than to aggravate his master.
Minutes passed as Bramble was left to dwell on the mistakes he made that night, how, to some degree, he deserved this for disobeying his father, and how he had probably made it harder for Blackthorn to plan an escape now. For all the prince knew, his master was talking to Blackthorn at this moment, making threats of what he would do to the foolish buck if Blackthorn managed to get away. With the amount of time he was gone, that was certainly possible, as in between his disparaging thoughts, Bramble felt that he could have undone the knot twice, and been working on undoing it a third time.
Eventually, the large shadow of the minotaur reappeared from behind the curtain, and Bramble was almost glad to see the minotaur return, if only because it released him from both his bad thoughts and the building tension of the moment. What he wasn’t glad to see was the wooden box full of items he had brought along with him. Bramble wasn’t familiar with most of what he could see sticking out of the top, with sex paraphernalia not a common thing in Thicket, but he could make assumptions that some of what he saw was going to go places he didn’t want them to.

This put the king in the position he was in now, waiting on the edge of his throne for word from the two ambassadors he sent to make contact with the minotaur, partially understanding that he might have sent them to their doom. The thought of sending two more of his kind to some terrible fate weighed heavily on Aspen, but he was slightly relieved when, at about midday, the door to his throne room opened.
Birch entered the room, having recovered enough from her attack to resume her duties, and respectfully bowed before her lord. “King Aspen, we have received word from the minotaur.”
“Our ambassadors have returned, then?” Aspen questioned.
“One has returned,” answered Birch, “The male ambassador has come back, unharmed, but none of his escort party returned with him.”
Aspen sunk in his seat, “I suppose that mean the minotaur don’t wish to discuss terms, and he had to flee from capture…”
“Actually…” Birch replied, “He returned with a different escort party, three males, two of which being minotaur, the last being identified as Antlertean. They have… expressed a desire to speak with you.”
“Of course…” Aspen acknowledged, “But it’s only the three of them?”
“As far as we are aware. They are stationed at the city gates.” said Birch, finishing her report.
“Then allow them, and only them, into Thicket.” Aspen commanded.
Birch hesitated to follow her orders. “King Aspen, are you certain this is the best move? These creatures have expressed time and again that they wish only to harm us, and even if they agree to some sort of deal, we can’t believe for a minute that they will uphold it.”
“I don’t believe at all that this is a good move,” answered Aspen, “But then neither is trying to wait it out at this point. The minotaur struck us at the absolute worst moment, and overpowered us at a time when our magic was weak. We are hardly past the first week of winter, and our defenses are next to non-existent. Either we make some form of arrangement with these creatures, or we pray that they don’t finish what they started.”
Birch was audibly disheartened by the king’s bleak viewpoint, but couldn’t disagree with him. The guard force was reduced to a meager handful, and any civilians capable and willing of fighting had long been lost.
“I’ll let them in and escort them to the conference room.” Birch said, finally ready to obey the order given to her.
“Thank you, Birch.” With that, both the king and his female guard left the throne room, one to guide their hostile guest to the palace, and the other to await their arrival.
Aspen sat in a small room, seated at a round table, as he awaited the arrival of the minotaur. His remaining citizens must have been in a panic, seeing members of the invading race entering the city, but even his remaining forces should have been able to deal with a mere two minotaur. He was more worried about what the minotaur were after, as the king had yet to learn enough about them to know their true intentions for his people.

The room fell silent, as King Aspen looked at two of the creatures who had abducted so many of his people. Thicket was not a large kingdom, but it was an ancient and powerful civilization that could contend with the surrounding pony kingdom if need be. Yet all it took was a small band of muscle-bound bovines to near topple them in their own territory. Looking over to the Antlertean, he was reminded that the bulls had ways to learn of Thicket’s weaknesses, but it was absurd how much they managed to accomplish in just under a month.
“Well…” Aspen said, breaking the quiet, “Have a seat.”
The bulls looked at the small seating arrangements around the table, and the larger one among them said, “You expect creatures as big as us to sit in chairs made for deer?”
“Could someone please get these two proper seating arrangements?” said Aspen, trying to be polite, but already irritated by the mere presence of the bulls.
Two of the guards left the room, while the others took places along the wall, sheathing their weapons, but never removing their hands from their grips. The only exception was Birch, who went to the table and placed a sizable carrying bag in the center of it.
“Before you begin, my lord,” she stated, as the ambassador took a seat next to Aspen, “The stag accompanying these two had this on him. We already went over the contents, and inside where a lot of disturbing items. Slave collars, restraints, syringes, and several vials of unknown potions, to name a few things.”
“What is the meaning of this?” Aspen asked, temper flaring slightly.
“They’re all important items we’ll need once our negotiations are over,” explained the large minotaur, “But if you want to hold onto the bag until we have made our arrangements, then feel free.”
“You do realize that you are not entirely safe before me,” Aspen said, creating a heart of green fire between his antlers, “My magic is more than enough to eliminate a couple of minotaur, even in the dead of winter.”
“I have no doubt,” said the large minotaur, “But if we don’t return to our encampment by tonight, then our tribe will in turn dispose of some of our hostages, starting with your general and your boy.”
Aspen’s felt his heart leap in his chest, and quickly dispelled his attack. Like it or not, he had to remember that he was not in the dominant position in this matter, and that the minotaur held all the cards.
“By the way, King Aspen, I am Titanius, and this is one of my subordinates, Brutus.”
“Of course…” Aspen said, just as the door opened.
The two absent guards brought in two larger chairs, placing them at the table opposite of Aspen before taking up spots along the wall with the other guards. The two minotaur sat down, with the Antlertean kneeling on the floor next to Titanius, and thus the negotiations could begin properly.
“Okay, let’s start off by asking the most important question,” Aspen said, wishing to get to the heart of the whole matter without beating around the bush, “What is it your kind wants from us? You can’t just be here for slaves. If that were the case, you’ve already claimed enough of us to take back to wherever you are from. Do you want gold and gems?”
“King Aspen, you wound me,” Titanius replied, “What we want is far more precious and valuable than money. I know that minotaur who live in Equestria have become solely concerned with money, but my clan have a much more important focus.”
“Then are you after our alchemy?” Aspen proposed next, “Are you kidnapping us for our plant potions? If you are, we could just make it for you.”
“We don’t need your potions,” Titanius replied dismissively, “As much as having extra wood is useful, we have no need for what amounts to quick growing fertilizer.”
Aspen let loose a low growl, believing that the minotaur was purposefully making this difficult. That was when the stag next to him decided to intervene. “Perhaps it would be better to explain what you’re after,” said the ambassador, “If we know what you want, then we might be able to help you in exchange for the release of those you are holding against their will.”
Titanius partially ignored the less than regal stag, but accepted that he was going to have to spell out the minotaur’s purpose here. “King Aspen, are you familiar with the mating rituals of the minotaur?”
“I… have been told how it works, yes.” answered Aspen, having some knowledge of all civilized species in and around Equestria, as it was important for the ruler of a kingdom to at least know their potential threats, “From my understanding, you don’t have your own females, and you have to seek out females of other races to be your mates. I believe I understand what this is about, and I have to say I find it disgusting.”
The other deer in the room silently concurred with the king, especially the does, now in full realization as to what all the other does were intended for in the minotaur’s scheme.
“We don’t pretend that this is some altruistic act, but it is one that has become vital from my kind.” said Titanius sternly.
“I heard that your kind would actually attempt to persuade females to be bred by you,” King Aspen asserted, “Not kidnap and rape them.”
“That was custom, but many of us have found that willing participants have become scarce. The hippogryphs have vanished, the ponies are unwilling, yaks are too difficult to please, and you deer are too reclusive… Our only reliable means to continue our species is to do it by force, and unfortunately for you, your xenophobia makes you excellent targets.”
Aspen and the ambassador looked to one another, and then to the other deer present in the room. The minotaur’s motives were laid bare before them, and it was perhaps the worst thing the minotaur could have been after, short of hunting them for sport. No one here was truly on board with allowing these crude creatures to breed deer, validating the claim the bovines made about it being difficult to convince others to mate with them.
“Have you… already had your way with the does you have taken?” asked the deer ambassador.
“Yes, all of them, and many times,” Titanius said with no hesitation, “Many of my men came here looking for females of breeding age to make their wives and add to their harems, and most have already claimed ones they intend to take back with them to our homelands. I wouldn’t even be surprised if that doe we kept in our camp for these negotiations was knocked up by now. She was fairly attractive.”
“You monsters!” Aspen yelled, outraged, slamming his hands on the table.
“My king, please… remember they have your son.”
Aspen didn’t need to be reminded. It was part of the reason he was so furious.
“To further elaborate,” Titanius continued, “Those who have been claimed have already been impregnated, as my kind are very virile and females who receive our seed are all but guaranteed to be pregnant after just one time. However, those who haven’t been made the brood wife of one of my men have been given potions made by our Antlertean slaves to prevent conception, so they can be taken back to our homelands and sold to other minotaur.”
“I’ve heard enough,” said Aspen, “You are making it clear that you have no intention of returning our females. At this point, it just seems like you’re here to mock us.”
“No, we are here to make a deal,” Titanius replied.
“I beg your pardon, but what deal can be made here?” asked the ambassador, just as bewildered as the king.
“Well…” said Brutus, speaking up for the first time, eyes sliding across the room to look directly at Birch. “You do still have some bitches behind your walls.”
Birch gasped, both at the audacity of what the bovine was proposing, and at the realization that this was the bull that blindsided her and White Rose. “How dare you even imply that we give ourselves to you!”
“Then I suppose you don’t care about the safety of your men?” Titanius said, “We have quite a few, but we honestly don’t need any of them. They are entirely disposable, but if you were willing to comply with us, we might be willing to reunite you with them. This includes the prince we have in our possession, of course.”
Understanding that this was the only way he could get his son back, Aspen at least wanted to hear what the minotaur had to say, “What exactly are your terms?”
“King Aspen, our goal above all else is the continuation of our species. Therefore, if every female of your kingdom within breeding age were to submit to us, and offer their bodies to the creation of minotaur, we would happily cooperate with your species.”
“Would the does have to leave Thicket?” asked Aspen, trying to see if he could somehow push this clearly one sided deal slightly in the deer’s favor.
“Your majesty?!” Every other deer present said in near unison.
“I know this is not a good option, but we have to accept that these bulls have the upper hand here.” Aspen said aloud, “If arrangements aren’t made, we might all be put in chains anyways, as hard as that is to admit. If we are able to get the does here to act as mothers to your spawn though, I don’t see why they would need to be taken from our lands.”
“Go on,” Titanius said, intrigued.
“I propose that we allow the start of your breeding program,” Aspen said, a bad taste forming on his tongue by his mere words, “But you will allow all deer to stay in Thicket and return to their lives, including those you already took from us. When the mothers start giving birth, you can return to Thicket to retrieve the minotaurs they produce, but no deer are to be removed from this city.”
“And are we to assume this arrangement isn’t a one-time event?” asked Titanius, “We want to ensure that our species will never die out, which requires generations of mothers.”
“How about we allow a test run first, then we can adjust the arrangement from there.” Aspen insisted.
“Very well,” Titanius replied, “But then I want something from you, your majesty.”
“What’s that?” Aspen inquired.
“Well as you might have noticed, I do have a particular persuasion towards the males of your race,” said the bull, petting his Antlertean slave stag on the head, who in turn rubbed his face pleasantly on the hand stroking him, “And I feel it would be unfair for your females to have to endure this while their leader didn’t suffer the same.”
“Are you insinuating that the king… allow himself to have sex with you?! Another male?!” said the deer ambassador, “I’ll have you know that we do not practice such things in-”
“It’s fine,” Aspen said, cutting the other stag short, “If you want me to pleasure you, I’ll do it so long as every deer is returned.”
“Your majesty…” said the ambassador, in total shock of the kings willingness to comply with what was simply taboo in their culture.
“But you do realize that we are going to want an act of good faith from you. We expect you to bring the deer you captured back to Thicket before we will allow any of this to happen.”
“We can bring them back here, though we will keep the prince and your captured guardsmen held outside the city until we feel your end of the bargain has been upheld. We might be willing to work with your species, but we won’t be putting ourselves in a position where you could attempt to stab us in the back.”
“Fine, but you’ll have to give us some time to prepare. It’s unlikely I’ll be able to get our remaining females to agree immediately, if at all.”
“We will give you three days to ready your females for the minotaurs,” Titanius said, “At dawn, four days from now, we will come and your females will willingly offer their bodies to whichever of us wishes to use them.”
The vulgarness of Titanius’ statement, as well as the tiny time frame given, gave Aspen pause, “You can’t expect us to be ready in that short of time.”
Titanius smiled, for some reason in a knowingly manner, “I have no doubt that you’ll be able to make the arrangements. In the meantime, we have our own preparations to make, so me and my associate will take our leave. It will be an immense pleasure working with you, King Aspen.” The minotaur went to grab his bag of things from the center of the table, but then changed his mind. “Actually, why don’t you keep it? It will give you an idea of what you’re in for.”
“Men, escort our guests to the gate, but not beyond that.” Aspen commanded, the minotaur’s prior actions telling the deer king that it was not wise to send his people to the bovines’ encampment.
The stags among the guard did as they were instructed, leading the two bulls and their deer companion out of the kingdom, leaving the king, the ambassador, and the female guards behind.
“Your majesty,” Birch started once she believed the minotaur were out of ear shot, “With all due respect, I don’t want to birth a minotaur.” The other does agreed, finding the very concept of a minotaur child being grown in their wombs sickening.
“Fortunately, that is not what I intend to let happen,” said Aspen, “Though we are all going to have to do some things that we’ll find revolting.”
“You have a plan?” asked the ambassador.
“Yes…” Aspen replied, “We will use the barbarians’ lust to stall for now. It does mean that we will have to comply with them for the time being, as repulsive as that is, but then, they should return all the deer to Thicket, as they agreed. We will have every doe use contraceptives for this false act of submission, and then terminate the pregnancy of any who have been impregnated by the beasts after. By the time they can figure out that they’ve been duped, it will be spring and our magic will be at full power, and we will be able to eliminate them without issue.”
This plan, much like this whole process of negotiation, was not met well by those there to hear it. No one had any better ideas though, and could agree that as soon as their alchemical magic was at full power, the minotaur wouldn’t stand a chance. Of course, they could attempt to request the aid of the ponies, beseech the help from Princess Celestia, but with the deer as steeped in their own paranoia of races outside of their own, the thought never even crossed their minds that they might have had an easy out to this whole situation.
Thus, as distasteful as it was, they decided to accept Aspen’s idea, the plan not completely without merit. Plus, if they didn’t attempt it the deer’s other choices were to surrender to the minotaur for real, or refuse and wait for the minotaur to come and take them all anyways. What King Aspen proposed was an uncomfortable compromise, and if it went the way he described, then none of Thicket’s females would have to suffer the burden of birthing a bovine. They’d just endure the affections, if it could be called that, of the creatures for a solitary night.
Three days passed, and Aspen managed to get everything in order for the arrival of the minotaur. It wasn’t easy to convince everyone to go along with Aspen’s charade, but eventually most understood that this was the only way that they’d see their family or friends again without likewise being put in chains.
Perhaps as a side effect of their acceptance, many of the does who would have to participate allowed some of the remaining stags to have sex with them the night before; virgin females wanting their first times to be with a stag, or some simply wishing to have something more pleasant to think of as the minotaur took pleasure from their not so willing forms. After that night of carnal fulfillment, the does all gathers in the snow-covered streets in front of the city gate, each wearing the plainest, yet warmest, garments they owned, and filled with a heavy dose of alchemical birth control. They waited in nervous anticipation for the minotaur’s arrival, none looking forward to the duty they would have to perform for their kingdom, as while the last laugh would eventually belong to Thicket, this day would be remembered as one of great shame in Everfree’s long history.
While the does prepared themselves to give everything to save their home, the stags of Thicket took every last fawn to a remote building, far away from the city gate, to wait out this horrid event. They had no intention of letting the young ones know what was about to happen, nor did they want the minotaur to see one and try to act on their established vile nature. In the deer’s eyes, the minotaur were little more than monsters who would willingly commit any atrocity to satisfy their lust. Demonizing the minotaur to be capable of doing any sinful act was no hard feat for the residents of Thicket.
With these arrangements made, the only male who would be present would be the king himself, his presence demanded by Titanius. He would share the burden of becoming the sexual plaything for a minotaur, but he was certain this disgrace would lead to the liberation of his people from this menace that threatened his kingdom, as well as his son, which was in ways more important to the king. Once they were all safe, Aspen would do everything in his power to eliminate these minotaur raiders for forcing his people down this path, and he would take great pleasure in the task when he did.
The king and the does of Thicket waited for any signs of the minotaur, and as the sun was rising over the horizon, movement was spotted in the Everfree. Seven large masculine figures, one being Titanius, leading six other bovine who were unitedly carrying a sizable black crystalline rock. King Aspen rushed to the gate quickly, to both greet the minotaur and see exactly what they were doing.
“Titanius,” he said from behind the still closed gates of the city borders, “What are you trying to drag into my kingdom?”
Titanius looked at the stag from the other size of the wood crafted bars. “This? It’s just something we need for our little gathering today. It won’t do anything harmful to you or your people, I promise.”
“This was not part of our deal, and this gate will stay shut tight until that thing is far out of sight.” Aspen replied, knowing quite well that evil artifacts were very often black in hue.
“Look, it’s not that big a deal,” Titanius said, “If you insist on not letting it into your city, then we’ll just set it up out here. This doesn’t look very good on you though.”
Aspen didn’t care what the minotaur thought of his resistance towards the stone, as he was adamant about not letting the minotaur bring the dark, foreboding piece of slate into his kingdom. He wouldn’t have even let the thing be placed at his doorstep, but to prevent the minotaur from doing so would have meant opening the gate, and if that happened, the minotaur could simply barge in with the object. So instead, he stared intensely at the other minotaur as they stood the crystal rock up ten feet from the boundary of Thicket.
“Where are the rest of your men?” Aspen asked as the bovines got their stone int place, “And my citizens. I was expecting a lot more than just you seven.”
“They will all be here shortly,” Titanius explained, making sure his fellow bovine were doing their job correctly, “Believe me, they wouldn’t miss this day for all the gold in Equestria.”
As the minotaur positioned their rock, the does became curious and came closer to the gate. Together, all the deer present observed what the minotaurs were doing, with Aspen at the front, ready to deal with any problems firsthand if the bulls attempted something. Together, they watched as the polished crystal wall was stood up, and then watched in bewilderment for the few seconds that passed before something unbelievable happened right before their eyes.
The black rock’s surface suddenly began to ripple like it was made of water, and immediately after, a hoof came out of the crystal and touched down on the snow-covered dirt in front of it. The body connected to the hoof quickly followed, and it was that of a minotaur, a rather sizable dark brown bovine who stood taller than even Titanius by a full foot. This new bovine was dressed in leather armor that covered most of his massive form, though unlike the kind that his kindred wore, his was adorned with gemstones near the neckline, as well as his bracers, and had a small cape off the back of it that came down to the midpoint of his back. This outfit, along with a golden circlet that rested atop this new bull’s brow, gave him a mock appearance of regality to Aspen, as if the bull was trying to display himself as something he most clearly was not.
The dark brown minotaur took a few steps towards Titanius, saying to his fellow minotaur, “So this is the deer’s city of twigs,” loudly enough that the contempt he held for the deer kingdom was noticeable to those on the other side of the gate.
As the two minotaur spoke to one another, another creature passed through the crystal portal. Not a minotaur this time, but a deer like themselves. A yellow-furred doe, with green hair and matching eyes, wearing a miniature cloak made of a red material with white fluff used as trim that nearly went down past her breasts, but hid nothing with its open front, the ends of its neckline tied together with ribbon in the shape of a bow, and nothing else. Every deer of Thicket found their gaze draw to this female, whose physical features made her out to be a woman just having reached adulthood, perhaps the same age as Prince Bramble, yet her stomach was plumped out in indication that she was bearing a child within her.
The doe, despite looking like she should be weighed down by the life growing in her womb, moved lightly on her hooves, practically prancing her way over to the dark brown minotaur. “See Master, we arrived just in time, exactly as I said we would,” said the yellow doe in a manner that could only be called ‘cheerful’ as she took hold of the dark brown minotaur’s arm in her own.
The two minotaur ceased their conversation both looking down at the reindeer with some disdain for her brashness. The doe released her owner’s arm, playfully feigning shock and fear at their attitudes towards her.
“Forgive me, Master, I was just trying to get some praise for my accurate predictions.”
The dark brown minotaur rolled his eyes and gave a snort, before grabbing the yellow doe by her hair, using his hand hold to wrench her whole body to his side by her follicles, telling the doe “I’ll punish you later, Alice”. The way he pulled her by the scalp looked painful, but the doe kept pleasantly grinning through the abusive action, happily standing in silence as her owner continued conversing with Titanius, and even more happily accepted his attention when his grip released and he started to pet her like a common house cat.
Not too long after this, the stone's surface rippled again, and out of it came another minotaur, then another, then another, followed by two Thicket deer lead through the portal in chains leading to collars around their throats, followed by a few Antlertean deer, followed by more minotaur. This continued like this before the eyes of the does behind the city gate, with hordes of bovine and cervids entering the Everfree through this way stone. It was now fairly obvious how the minotaur were able to get through Equestria in order to enact their raid on Thicket, as smuggling such an object through pony lands would be a fairly easy task. How they managed to acquire and use such a thing was still a mystery, but one could guess that it was because of Antlertean magic that the minotaur had access to such a useful object.
Eventually, the oncoming flood of creatures stopped, with there now being more bodies than any of the deer wished to count present. Masses of mountainous beef creatures and their slaves obscured the scenery normally viable just outside the kingdom, separated from by a meager wooden gate that no longer felt like a sturdy means of protection in the face of the minotaur. Upon noticing that no more were coming through, the dark brown minotaur finally excused himself from Titanius, moved his hand from the yellow does’ hair down to her neck, and walked both her and himself to confront Aspen.
“You are the king of these females?” said the brown minotaur.
“Yes…” replied the deer king, his attention split between this minotaur and his yellow doe, now looking much paler than he did before she appeared. “I am King Aspen.”
“I am the leader of this minotaur tribe, and the conqueror of the Antlerteans,” the brown minotaur, proudly declaring his domination of the enslaved deer race, “You make call me by the title those under my rule address me by; Master .”
Aspen didn’t like the idea of calling the minotaur by this title, but his concerns were more focused at the young doe at Master’s side. While Master was an imposing figure, the smiling yellow doe was much more terrifying to the king. With her standing right in front of Aspen, he could not deny what she was; a reindeer. Not just any reindeer either, but judging by the color of the clothing she was wearing, a Gift Giver of the Grove, the very kind of deer he assumed could not be captured and enslaved. Yet she was not only a slave of the minotaur, but appeared to be completely tamed. Was she the kind of Gift Giver reindeer who could see into the future? If so, then her abilities made her incredibly dangerous in the hands of these barbarians.
“As you can see, Aspen, we have upheld our end of the arrangement,” Master continued, “And brought along the citizens of yours that we had enslaved. Now are you going to let us in, or should we assume the deal is off and break your gate down.”
Aspen could see that the minotaur’s leader was not going to show any patience, and with the sheer amount of minotaur here, he could tell that any conflict would end in Thicket’s downfall. At this point, the deer of Everfree were utterly at the mercy of the bovine.
“Don’t worry, Master,” said the yellow doe, “He’ll open it. He knows he has no choice.”
A couldn’t tell if that comment was an observation of the current situation, or if the reindeer was announcing her abilities to him, but she was right. He had no options now, save for surrender. “Give me a moment… Master...” he said dejectedly, now seeing little hope for his people if his assumptions about the yellow doe were true.
Aspen opened Thicket’s gate via his magic, and allowed the tyrannical bovines entrance into his kingdom. The, as of yet, still free does stepped back several feet to allow them room in the town’s main entrance area, but even then the combination of minotaur, Antlerteans, and enslaved Everfree deer spilled outside of the city’s borders.
“Attention, females of Thicket!” Master bellowed, standing at the forefront of his horde, his voice powerful enough to cover the streets of the small kingdom without any aid, “Today marks a great day in the history of your meager settlement! From this day forward, your race will have the privilege of serving the minotaur, your females having the honor of conceiving and birthing our sons, and ensuring that the minotaur race continues for generations to come!”
The minotaur gave a triumphant yell of victory as their tamed deer slaves gave a round of applause, the yellow one adding a few small hops in a show of her excitement. As enthused as the invading force was, those now under their oppression could only display despair for what they assumed was about to happen to them, those who had already suffered at the hands of the minotaur could only send those now in wait for their turn knowing looks of what was to come.
“Now, as a courtesy to you all, before we pair you off with the fathers of your future children, our Antlertean slaves shall prepare your bodies to accept us into them! Know that without these precautions, what you are about to endure would be excruciating and potentially harmful, so it is in your best interests to accept it! A specialist in minotaur breeding will now explain exactly what all you mothers in waiting will have to do, and once finished we shall all move onto the creation of the next line of minotaur!”
Master stepped aside, ending his precise introduction to a swift close. As he moved out of the way, a grey Antlertean female in a lab coat, her every curve on display from behind its open front, took his place.
“Hello, fellow does!” she called out in a loud, but pleasant tone, “My name is Xenia, and I’m here to welcome you to the minotaur breeding program! I’m sure many of you are nervous or afraid, but my associates and I are going to make this as painless as possible! For the next hour or so, we’ll be giving you all injections to make you’re inexperienced holes capable of taking a minotaur’s dick with relative ease, as well as making the experience feel much better than it would otherwise! Now if you all would, please remove your clothing and form ten organized lines over there!”
Murmurs formed in the crowd of Thicket does when told what was about to happen, noticing that a few minotaur were setting up several tables and beds in the middle of the deer city’s streets, things brought to their city through the bovine’s crystal portals. None of them had thought far enough into this to assume that they would need alchemical assistance to have sex with a minotaur, and were now beginning to worry about being drugged by these creatures.
“Do what they ask of you!” Aspen commanded. He too was worried about what these minotaur were planning on injecting into his people, but this was far beyond the point that such worry mattered. Compliance was the only means to avoid enslavement, their only hope being to stick to the plan and get retribution on the minotaur at a later date. “Remember, Thicket’s future depends on your obedience!”
The does hesitated, even at Aspen’s order, but eventually Birch stepped forward, stripping herself down as she made her way to the tables. “All of you, trust in the king!” she prompted the other females, who reluctantly followed by her example.
Aspen watched in silent horror as the does exposed themselves to the world, removing all forms of coverings and tossing them into a pile. Even though he had ordered this, this was a bit much. When he originally made this facade of a deal, he had expected the minotaur to have a bit more tact. What he didn’t expect was for his people to have to flaunt their bodies in public, and to be lined up like cattle to await needles full of some unknown substance. The minotaur were giving the does of Thicket no form of respect, loudly jeering and sending crude comments at the females, turning this already terrible situation into a spectacle for their amusement. The does’ humiliation was evident, as they did their best to cover themselves from the glaring eyes of their soon to be violators, trembling under the weight of their glares, their bodies blushing a deep color of red under their fur.
“Not bad,” said Titanius, making his way to Aspen, his slave stag walking along with him, “But I trusted that you would get these doe in line. Everything is happening as it’s supposed to.”
“Tell me,” Aspen said bluntly, believing that Titanius’ words had more meaning than they were intended to let on, “Master’s slave doe. Did she tell you all of this? Can she see into the future?”
“See into the future?” Titanius laughed, “What would ever make you think that? Do you know something about her that we don’t?”
“No…” Aspen replied. Perhaps he was mistaken of the yellow does’ status as a Gift Giver, or she might have not been one with the power of foresight. She might even have the power, and didn’t share it with the minotaur, but whatever it was, Aspen certainly didn’t want to reveal that power to the bulls if they didn’t know about it.
Instead, he resigned himself to watching the females of Thicket approach the tables to hand themselves over to the Antlerteans. Several of the tattooed deer, both stags and does, helped the helpless does into position, some allowed to lay down on the tables, while others sat upon them, and even more were made to bend over them, as they received a series of needles into their erogenous areas. Not a single one of them went through this without making a sound, letting out small squeaks of pain, or sucking in air through their teeth as the thin, cylindrical spikes pierced sensitive flesh. Before long, the sounds of discomfort were replaced with soft moans, the does gradually succumbing to the doses of fluids shot into them that made their bodies more sensitive, and altered their bodies perception of the now amplified sensations they felt into only arousal.
By the end of her treatment, the guard doe, Birch, was finding herself at odds with her own body. She could practically feel her body going into overdrive to produce a vast amount of female hormones, so plentiful that it was forcing the normally chaste soldier over the edge, and right into an estrus filled state of lust.
“Nothing more than we said we would,” Xenia promised, “The masters want this to be a day to remember for you, and so we’ve made sure that you’ll enjoy yourselves, no matter how rough they are.”

“That’s not up to you,” Brutus said, pressing his hand on Birch’s slender throat with one hand, while placing his other at her crotch as he bent over her prone body.
Without bothering to ask for permission, or so much as giving the deer the courtesy of a warning, Brutus stuffed his thick finger right into Birch’s pussy. “Right away, sir.” said an Antlertean stag, already holding in his hands a small choker with a metal D-ring on its front. With Birch held down as she was, it was an easy matter for the stag to get the two ends of its clip buckle together.
“There we go,” Brutus said, happy to see Birch wearing the only proper attire a female should have, “Looks good on ya.”
“Fuck… You…” Birch replies, finding it more difficult to concentrate as the chemicals inside her took hold of her body. The mere act of forming words was a difficult task when her mind was flooded with sensations.
“That’s the idea,” Brutus happily replied. Quickly removing his finger from her slit and gripping her waist, he hoisted Birch face down over his shoulder, “So why don’t we find a nice place to settle down and get that womb of yours filled with my cum.”
Birch struggled the best she could, but the only thing that she got for her trouble was a swift slap on the rear, which in her drug-induced state sent a lightning bolt of arousal up her spine. “Why are you putting collars on my people?” he asked Titanius, “Our agreement-”
“Has nothing to do with this,” Titanius said, anticipating the complaint, “The neckwear is simply there to separate those who’ve gotten their injections from those who have not. They can be easily taken off by the wearer whenever they want.”
“I suppose… that makes sense.” Aspen replied, noticing that these chokers were just clipped together and made of a material that could be easily cut if need be, unlike the collars that the Antlerteans were wearing.
“As you can see, we are only doing what we have to in order to make this as easy as possible. Even the aphrodisiacs are simply implemented to get the girls in the mood, as I’m sure they were scared about this whole ordeal. There is nothing easy about birthing a minotaur, from the moment we copulate, to the time the child is pushed out, the mother will be, at best, in discomfort.”
“Your slaves don’t seem to mind,” Aspen said, keeping the still smiling and currently pregnant yellow doe following Master in sight around as he decided upon which doe he would be using.
“They have adapted to it,” Titanius answered, “And some are particularly strange when it comes to their breeding, but I must enforce the idea that none of this is pleasant for a female. Some of your females will get lucky, and instead of getting a minotaur, they’ll have a female of your species, but that is why we insist that we continue beyond this singular event.”
“You say that, but you’re not exactly painting this as something we should want to do.” Aspen said frankly, “To ask us to continue this is like asking us to periodically hurt ourselves for no benefit for our people.”
“I suppose you’re right,” Titanius conceded, “But would you rather have me lie to you and say that it eventually becomes a purely pleasurable experience? That somehow being fucked by a dick thicker than your arm won’t come with some degree of pain? While we might resort to dastardly means continue our race, we have decided that the very least you lesser races deserve is honesty when it comes to this.”
Aspen could tell that the minotaur was attempting to display his race with some kind of honor in their actions, but he wasn’t buying it. If they had any honor, they wouldn’t be forcing themselves on the females of other races, and instead would allow their monstrous species to die out before even thinking of that as an option. Aspen would feel no remorse when ridding the world of their vile ilk, and would be doing every other species a favor by doing so, especially in the case of the Antlerteans. Come spring, these minotaur would rue the day they decided to make Thicket a target of their revolting lust.
“Now then, I think it’s time that you upheld your personal part in this agreement.” Titanius said, putting a hand on Aspen’s shoulder. “You haven’t forgotten, have you?”
“No, I remember,” Aspen said, waiting for this moment to come. He was not the type of king to have his civilians and subordinates do something he would not, and since the does were doing their part, he would do his. “Shall I get in line?”
“No need,” Titanius replied, “Sergius here is skilled at giving injections, and we already have all the supplies we need.”
“Where?” Aspen asked, not seeing the minotaur or his slave stag carrying anything needed for the injections.
“Why, back at your palace, of course.” Titanius answered, “If you recall, we left a bag of items behind, and inside it is everything we need. Besides, a royal stag like yourself requires more privacy than these commoners. We’ll do everything in your room, from the preparations to the deed itself.”

Hey everyone. One more chapter until this is all wrapped up. While this was meant to be a story for December, (because christmas and all that) I have seemed to have overextend myself just a bit. “Not bad,” said Titanius, making his way to the king’s bed. “I can do it myself,” Aspen assured.
“Nonsense,” Titanius replied, starting to remove his own leather armor, casually tossing it to the ground, “I said that you will be disrobed by my slave, and that's how this will happen. Make no mistake, this is not supposed to be a pleasant experience for you.”
“Excuse me?” Aspen said, thrown off by the minotaur’s blunt declaration.
“This is punishment for your failure as a king,” the minotaur reiterated, “Your kingdom, as old as it is, was brought under our hooves in less than a month’s time. We captured your people, your soldiers, and your son. Because of your incompetence, your weakness, or both, we were able to force you into handing over your people to sire our children. If not for our deal, you would all be our slaves. I know this, you know this, and thus part of this deal is your humiliation and discomfort. You will debase and disgrace yourself for me, deer king, else my kind will finish what we started with your helpless city.”
King Aspen bit his lower lip to stifle his words, the matter of fact manner in which the minotaur spoke to him threatening to pull from the deer’s mouth a number of things that would surely not be appreciated.
Obey now, retaliate later , Aspen thought to himself, inevitable revenge being a comforting thought in this dark time.
“Very well,” he said aloud, extending his arms outward at his sides, which the Antlertean took as a sign to begin this undressing, “I’m actually a bit relieved you are being so transparent with this. For a moment I thought you were going to try converting me into homosexuality, or attempt to convince me that your people defiling our females was a good thing.”

Titanius looked to Aspen, to whom Sergius was referring to. “Is he okay?” The reindeer had said that Aspen would not die from this encounter, but after that explosion of magic, the minotaur was questioning her prediction.
The Antlertean took a moment to check on the Thicket deer, “He’s breathing, just unconscious. Amazing after all he has gone through.”
“Yeah, we’ll have to make sure he’s kept under lock and key.” said the bovine, knowing that antlers did grow back, and thus Apsen could regain his power if he ever had an opportunity to regrow them. “Of course, that’s why we brought all that other equipment we’ve yet to use.”
“Do you want me to lock him up after I tend to your wounds?” asked the Antlertean, assuming that was the next logical step.
“Let him rest for a while. He’s no threat as he is, and whatever dream he is having is the last taste of freedom he’ll ever get.” Titanius leaned back against one of the posts of the broken bed frame, and let his slave stag cover his hands in soothing ointment. “It’s a shame though. If he didn’t plan to break our agreement, we would’ve made a real deal with them.”
“Of course you would’ve.” Sergius said dismissively.
“Hey, we made a deal with the gryphons.” Titanius replied, wanting to give his stag a disciplinary slap on the head, but knowing that at that moment it would hurt him more than it did the deer. “I can’t fault the guy for wanting to bump heads with fate, but he did it in the most cowardly way he could think of. He might’ve even drove us out if he just fought us from the start, but now every deer of this kingdom will become our slaves.”
Titanius said this, but he knew from the start that this was going to be the outcome. The reindeer’s predictions always came true, and the minotaur didn’t attack until they knew exactly how the scenario played out. While he spoke to another minotaur, Aspen could tell the words were truly meant for him. Titanius was drilling in that this was all his fault, and had he only made an honest deal, all that would have happened would have been the impregnation of the females, and not this sex charged nightmare. Whether or not that were true, Aspen would never know for sure, and at this point it didn’t matter. All that did was that his people were going to enter an age of subjugation and suffering, their race ground into the dirt under the heel of these tyrants who had stumbled upon a cosmic cheat that gave them the unfair advantage of foresight.
Continuing on this tour of his own kingdom, it was becoming more astounding seeing how in control his people’s captors were. The minotaur had smoothly converted everything and everyone in the kingdom into something that could serve their purposes. Had this not been his home his entire life, Aspen would have simply assumed this was some barbarian city he was dragged into with how casually the minotaur were operating. The Antlerteans they had brought now occupied the streets more than Thicket’s actual citizenry, going in and out of homes and removing their contents like they owned the place, or assisting their masters in their defilement of the does. No doe even tried to resist, all in a state of complacence brought upon by their bonds, exhaustion, fear, and the chemicals that swam in their veins. Then again, it was hard for Aspen to differentiate their obedience from behind his veil, and it was possible that they were trying to fight back, but failing miserably. A doe forced to a kneel could struggle all she wanted, but that wouldn’t prevent her from having a dick as thick as her throat pushed down her esophagus. Aspen tried to yell some obscenities at the minotaur, but all that came out were angry mumbles.
“Don’t get so hostile,” Master went on to say, clutching the hip of the doe straddling his cock to move her at his preferred pace, “It’s not like we are being unreasonable with your people. After all, your intent for us was extinction. If we were to give you an appropriate punishment for that, then we’d have to cut your head off as an example. “You’ve already decided on which slaves you wanted,” Master said, presenting Bramble and Blackthorn’s leashes to Titanius.
“Rubus, Domitius, did you two miss me?” Titanius said, taking the stags’ leashes in hand.
The two didn’t respond, both dejected at the sight of their home, as well as the understanding that their enslavement was now on a permanent basis, with no one left to liberate them from the minotaur menace. If they were to ever be released from their bondage, such salvation would not come at the hands of deer.
“Thank you for allowing me to keep these three,” Titanius said to his leader, pleased with the three prizes he had acquired for, from his perspective, no work at all.
“Not at all,” Master replied, “I could think of no better minotaur to leave them in the hands of.”
Master knew that while Titanius had been predetermined to succeed, that success was brought on because his abilities allowed that to be possible. Some other minotaur might have been able to take the city as well, but Master believed that Alice’s predictions led his race to the best possible outcome, which meant the use of the most qualified minotaur.
“Though it is a shame that your queen is gone and you never had a daughter, Aspen. I would have loved to have had another royal addition to my collection of wives, but I’ll have to make do with this young slut instead.” Master slapped his newly acquired breeding slave’s ass, eliciting a yelp from the doe and a faster movement of her hips, “Actually, since I brought up the topic of youth… I suppose I should inform you of the fate of your kingdom’s children.”

While Aspen hadn’t assumed any mercy from the minotaur, it was still a major blow to hear that none would be spared from their perverse objective. “You’re not going to stay for the rest of the celebration?” Master asked, “There is still a few hours left before we start picking this place clean of all its valuables, and you still have right of first pickings of whatever treasures these pitiful deer have been hoarding.”
“I think I’ll pass,” Titanius replied, “Let the men pick what they want, and have whatever is left sent to me in the form of gold.”
“Very well, go home and relax with your slaves. You have earned a break,” Master said, giving a long pause before finishing his feelings with, “As well as that little trinket you stashed away in your slave’s bag of toys.”
“Can’t even get that past her, can I?” Titanius replied, knowing that master was talking about Aspen’s royal mantle, a heart shaped ruby the size of two pony fists put together, set in a gold neck piece. It was one of the things relieved from the stag when stripped, and the raid chief had hoped to have been able to slip off with it as a bonus for his hard work. That he got caught wasn’t unexpected though, and he treated his attempt at theft with the levity of a common prank. “Then consider it the one treasure I truly wish to keep.”
“Of course, and I’ll have word sent that you wish to return to Minopolis. The Way Stone should be usable for you shortly.”
“Thank you, Master.” Titanius put a fist to his chest in salute, narrowly missing a strike to Aspen’s head in the process, and took his leave. With one stag riding his shaft, and the other two pulled along by one of the leads in either of his hands, the minotaur made his way to the Thicket’s exit.
Nearly half an hour later, Titanius was sat on a stump just outside the gate, holding Aspen’s legs up for him so that the stag could get a rest as well, mere feet away from the Way Stone and a pile of crates packed with the pillaged goods of the dominated kingdom. While Titanius had said in negotiations that they had no need for such things, they weren’t going to leave behind such useful items, not when there would be no one left to use them. Every deer was to be taken to Minopolis, to live out the remainder of their lives under the watchful eyes of their new masters, to be exploited for the betterment of the minotaur race.
Master had many plans for the deer beyond breeding, with work slavery being as common place as sexual slavery in the minotaur city, but the most important acquisition from all this was in fact Thicket’s protected alchemical potions. It was assumed that the plant growth potion could be used to increase the production of food crops, as well as a fruit with aphroditic properties native to their kingdom know as Passion Fruit. Minotaur lacked the skill or comprehension of alchemy to reproduce the potions themselves, even if explained how it was done, but Titanius had no doubt that given the right motivation, Thicket’s alchemists would do it themselves. Minopolis had acquired the Antlertean’s cooperation and technomagic through means of intimidation and mental conditioning, and didn’t expect any of these deer to have any sturdier of wills than their distant relatives.
None of that mattered to Titanius though. He was just a simple raid leader, and that responsibility went to the slave tamers. The only deer he had to worry about breaking in was Domitius, Rubus, and his yet to be named slave stag.
As he sat there thinking on the changes that were to come to his household, a creature suddenly came through the Way Stone, a purple unicorn with a body that shimmered like crystal, her horn glowing with magical energies as she gave herself passage through the thick sheet of gemstone.
“Ah, you must be the one I was sent for,” said the crystal mare, “Master told me that you’d have a… unique piece of jewelry around your neck.”
Titanius got up from his seat, not responding to the mare’s comments. While she provided useful service to their people, minotaur were not obligated to be courteous with her if they didn’t work at her facility.
“Very well,” said the mare, dismissing how the bull ignored her, “If you are ready, then the portal is open.”
Titanius turned back to Thicket, taking one last look at the city he had claimed for his people. By tomorrow it would be devoid of both life and valuables, and even later the tree city would be reclaimed by the forest, leaving little behind but memories of the people who once called the Everfree home.
“Take one last look at it, you three.” Titanius said to his new collection of Thicket born stags, “As never again will you set eyes upon this place.”
The minotaur stood there for another minute, letting the gravity of this moment weigh down on Blackthorn, Bramble, and Aspen. The kingdom had fallen, their titles were stripped, and the rest of their lives would be in service of the one who made this happen. When the despair had set in, Titanius gave the leashes connected to Bramble and Blackthorn’s collars a tug, leading them to the Way Stone. They hardly resisted as their bound forms were taken through it, with Aspen himself being the only one to struggle and yell as his fate approached. The effort was proven futile though, as all the same he slipped into the fluid surface of that black rock, and disappeared to a land unknown to him or his kind. Aspen’s owner melted into the stone after him, followed by his son and the former captain of his royal guard, then his Antlertean slave stag, and lastly the crystal mare, the portal closing behind them, cementing the fates of the three stags as it reverted to solid rock.
Author's Note
We are nearing a close with this story, this being the first of three epilogues I'm going to add to it. As one might assume, the other two epilogues will be for Blackthorn and Bramble, both set a little further down the timeline from the end of Thicket. But before I go into that, there are a few things I want to get to.
Firstly I want to address the possible "bad point" of this chapter, which is the mention of what could only be interpreted as the minotaur "grooming children" for slavery, mentioned by Master at one part of the story. While I have a strict "no children characters in sexual situations" stance in my stories, it really isn't like the fawns of Thicket would be left behind or would simply vanish, and one has to assume that in their breeding process they would have done something with the deer children produced by the Antlerteans up to this point. If you want to know what exactly they do to them, basically they send them to live in a slave orphanage to be raised by slaves, and hardly even interact with them till they are of a proper age, where they would be sold off to a minotaur for whatever intentions said minotaur would have for them. Some might see this fate for them to be just as sick as a typical act of pedophilia, and to that I would say "maybe, but the minotaur are villains afterall". If it offend you, just be glad I didn't feel the need write a detailed scene of them being paraded in chains past their parents, forced to watch as their loved ones were publicly raped and their families were torn apart. It is what it is, and what it is isn't pretty, but I refuse to belittle the intellegence of my readers by pretending nothing bad happened to the children victims of a barbarian raid. (I'm sure we've all seen Conan the Barbarian, and what happened to him)
Lastly, a commentator suggested that I write out a few chapters featuring the does, and and while I think it is a good idea, I think that i will get to that next December. I got a lot of things to work on this year, and I don't want to spend the entirety of the first two months on a story that was intended to be done at the end of December. So when I finish the other two epilogue chapters, I'll have this story marked as "complete", but expect 3-4 more chapters at the end of the year.

It has over a dozen cities on it, including a few locations used purely to raise non-minotaur offspring in a controlled environment. You are at their capital, located in the center of this nation, surrounded by miles of open sea in all directions. There is no leaving this place unless the minotaur allow it.”
“It can’t be as bleak as you’re trying to describe it.” Blackthorn rebutted, still wanting to cling to hope that there was some way to set this right.
“While I can respect your optimism, I can tell you that slaves have tried many times to escape, and not a single one of them have ever accomplished it. We are too isolated here, and no one even knows we exist to come and save us. While it might not be ideal, it is better just to obey. The minotaur even start to ease up on you after a while if you just do as they tell you. They’re not monsters, they just want to keep their species going.”
“You can’t be ser-” Blackthorn suddenly released a scream, cutting himself off as feeling returned to his balls. The doe who used Blackthorn’s face as a phallus answered the stag’s command, being the one who could leave the room the easiest. During her absence, the others remained mostly silent, with Blackthorn more concerned about the agony in his sack than exchanging insults with the other male deer. It took a while for those sparks of sensation to stop tormenting the stag, but the stings did cease eventually, leaving behind a lingering soreness in his now swollen testicles, around the time the room’s door opened and the Antlertean doe returned with who she was sent to retrieve.
“Here she is,” said the doe, bringing in by leash another female deer.
Not another Antlertean, but one of the does from Thicket, heavily restrained in thick leather bindings, which consisted of a gag, a blindfold, and a set of arm binders that held her arms in place under a pair of large breasts, but just above a big, rounded belly. Blackthorn didn’t know this deer, able to make out enough of her features to determine that, but of course she didn’t have to be someone he knew. The familiarity of another deer from his homelands was enough to touch a nerve in the stag.
“2012 here has been in our care for a moment,” said the unbound stag, taking a seat on what small amount of space he could find on Blackthorn’s table, “Mostly for observation purposes while she goes through her first pregnancy cycle, since she most certainly will be giving birth to a minotaur her first time by the looks of it.”
Blackthorn could see what the stag meant, as this doe who was probably still in her first trimester looked more like she was going into her third, her belly bulging out to what looked to be its limits.
“To be honest,” the stag in the coat went on to say, “If not for the safety protocols, I wouldn’t even have her bound. She has been very compliant.”
“You’re lying!” Blackthorn protested, but when he did the Thicket doe’s ears drooped slightly in shame, a gesture that Blackthorn took notice of.
“Believe what you want, but not all of your people have been resistant to their integration into minotaur society. In a generation, most won’t even feel a need to resist anymore. Your people will get used to the role of servitude, give up on the idea of freedom, or will find things that fulfill their lives just as much as anything they had while free, while their children will have grown up in a world where they know no other life than to be servants.”
“And what part of that do you fall into?” Blackthorn asked the buck, knowing he couldn’t be that old himself.
“Does that really matter?” the stag replied, “The only thing that does matter is that there is no going back to the way things were. From this point on, you have two choices. Fight a lost battle for something you can never get back, or… learn to accept it and build something good out of a bad situation.”
“Do you really believe the things you are saying?” Blackthorn said, still not convinced, not wanting to believe that this was all they had left, even if what the other stag said was true.
“The only thing I can believe is what I see,” said the other stag, “And what I’ve seen is that like it or not, the rest of our lives belong to our Minotaur masters.”
Time passed for the deer of Thicket, each having to endure the hardships placed upon them by the minotaur. Rape, loss, sorrow, these concepts became well known to the former residents of Everfree as they became little more than property and breeding stock for their new masters. The deer had been, up until that point, untouched by the world outside of their forest, but now they had to experience the customs of a culture outside of their own in the worst way possible, conscripted into servitude via the yoke of slavery.
Yet within the droves of slaves suffering in this minotaur-controlled land, there were a few who were given a small semblance of leniency, who wore a collar, yet hadn’t felt the sting of a whip, nor the pain that came with their master’s affection. One such person was the former prince of Thicket, Prince Bramble.
Night had come to the minotaur lands, draping their cities in darkness. In one such city, the capital city of Minopolis, resided the home of the war chief, Titanius. It was at this time he was asleep, and those he owned were supposed to be resting from their hard day of service to their master, but on this night Bramble found himself unable to enter the land of dreams.
This was a common occurrence for the buck, seeing that he lived in a home where his father and a stag he looked up to were raped frequently, but tonight felt different somehow, for reasons he didn't understand. Perhaps he was just too hot, as Titanius had recently allowed Bramble the privilege of joining him in his bed. Not in the sexual manner, as Titanius still considered Bramble ‘too young’ for penetration, but simply to allow the Thicket deer some comfort as he slept. The bed was much better than the cage he had been spending the nights in before, but he and his master were not the only ones sharing it with one another, as many other males joined them atop the massive mattress.
Titanius had many slaves, acquired through either purchase or conquest. The minotaur was apparently very successful in his role as raid chieftain, and his home and roster of slaves were proof of his accomplishments. While not one of the biggest homes a minotaur could have, his residence was big enough to house himself and twenty one slaves, twenty males and a single Antlertean doe. Every day, Bramble had to interact with them, and most were fairly nice and understanding towards Bramble, at one point having been in the same place he was now. The doe was especially nice, acting as the home mother to the other slaves, which Titanius called his ‘boys’, despite a couple of them being older than he was.
Each night though, Bramble had to interact with his master and the other males in more intimate manners. Titanius would choose several of his slaves to pleasure him, and allowed the others to play amongst themselves, with everything short of penetration allowed, not that one could, as all of Titanius’ boys were equipped with a chastity cage. Of course, those who didn’t consent weren’t exempt from this nightly ritual, and those who complained too much would be bound in some manner to allow the others to do as they willed with them. Blackthorn and Aspen were often tied up because of this.
So, night after night, Bramble would be at the mercy of a legion of fondling hands and soft lips that danced over every private area of his body, left unbound, as while he was resistant, he still allowed the others to do as they pleased with him. This led to what was perhaps the real reason he couldn’t find rest, as when he looked back on those moments where he was at the mercy of those other men, he couldn’t say that he entirely hated it. He knew that he wasn’t supposed to like being touched by males in such a way, but when it happened, he couldn’t help but feel aroused. The inside of his cock cage would feel incredibly restraining when the other guys groped his body, and Bramble wasn’t ignorant to what that meant.
The buck needed some air, and thus, he made his way off the bed. He had to climb over and around the bodies of the other males, but he managed to make it off the mattress without waking any of them. From there, all he had to do was go to a curtain near the bed that led to the third floor balcony of his master’s house. While Bramble wasn’t trusted with the ability to roam around freely, the only thing that restricted him at this time was a length of chain connecting a shackle on his ankle to one of the legs of the bed, which was enough to get to his destination. Thus, the deer silently made his way outside, to the only place he could reach beyond his prison.
Making it past the curtains, Bramble found the night to be calm. There were few clouds in the sky, allowing the moon to shine down on the city that had become his home. Minopolis, the maze city, called that because of the intricate layout of the streets surrounded by large buildings that made it hard to navigate if one didn’t know the city intimately. Bramble had already been in the city nine months at least, a time frame he determined due to being taken to watch a group of Thicket does giving public birth, and he still hardly knew how to get from one end of the street to another. Minotaur seemed to have no problem getting around though, Titanius once telling Bramble that they had an inherent sense of direction when navigating complex terrains made up of towering walls. What would take days for any other species took the bovines mere minutes to transverse.
At his current elevation, Bramble got a good view of the city, but the vantage point gave him no better idea which way one would go to escape it if he were to attempt such a stunt. The only thing the view did was let him take in the marvel that was minotaur architecture combined with the strange technological magic of the Antlerteans. The result was an industrious looking city perpetually lit up by the soft glow of Antlertean magic. It would have been a splendorous sight to behold, if not for the knowledge that underneath that beauty was a civilization that thrived because of slavery and rape.
Bramble shivered slightly as he looked over the city from his perch, not wearing any clothes as the cool wind of the night blew over him. The deer had to suffer the feeling of the cold air blowing up inside him, thanks to a modification to his body his master had bestowed upon him. He, Blackthorn, and Aspen, had all had their antlers trimmed down to nubs, and the older two had received many adjustments to their bodies to make them more receptive and accepting of the minotaur’s brutal affections, but one other thing had been done to alter Bramble’s body: the addition of a golden ring to his flesh, embedded in the young adult’s anus. The golden ring of metal was weaved in and out of his O-ring, keeping the passage forcibly opened at all times. At first, he was worried that such a thing would lead to messy situations, but he soon found out that the minotaur fed their slaves a specially developed paste substance that contained all the nutrients a creature needed to survive, and said paste had something in it that forced the body to absorb all of it. He was told by his master that he’d get fat before he ever produced even a small amount of bodily waste again, and that if he started to show some pudge, the minotaur would have him do exercises to keep getting him back to a preferred weight.
The ring had a bit of a special crafting to it, as it was actually composed of four quarters of a ring, segmented from one another and held together with a smaller, likewise segmented ring within it. This allowed the piece of metal to expand, if need be, for things that would be entering the hole, since nothing would ever be exiting that passage ever again. The necessity for such an item was fairly clear to Bramble, as it would make the eventual insertion of Titanius’ cock all the more easier when he decided to put the buck’s ass to use.
The reminder of the ring, and its reason for being, gave Bramble more things to dwell on. It had been nearly a year since he was given the piece of jewelry, and slightly more time that he had become a slave, yet the minotaur hadn’t taken advantage of his power over the buck and utilized him for what was clearly his intended role in the minotaur’s household. He should have just been happy that he hadn’t been penetrated yet, but he often wondered why Titanius took such liberties with his father and Blackthorn, but not him. It couldn’t have simply been that Titanius looked at him as being too young, could it? Sergius wasn’t that much older than him, yet he was used frequently as a sex slave. In some ways, he felt rejected, and that led to other odd feelings that he was immensely confused about.
He couldn’t have been jealous of all the other males, of how they got to have sex with Titanius while he was left sitting on the sidelines. He couldn’t have actually wanted what his father and Blackthorn were getting, as he watched them become more receptive to their rape over time. He was supposed to be the prince of Thicket, a title that meant that he should hate the very thought of being the thing his master wanted him to be. A slave, a tool for sex, a homosexual… To be these things went against how he was brought up, the pride instilled in him by his kingdom and the very principles of morality said kingdom stood upon. Yet, when he watched the others servicing Titanius, offering their bodies to him without any form of objection or hesitation, all the while being held and touched by the other slaves, something inside him would awaken and fill him with a desire to join in.
“Hmm?” The sound of curtains being pulled open came from behind Bramble, followed up by the curious hum of a person being caught off guard by his presence, “Didn’t think anyone was out here.”
Surprised, Bramble spun his body around and thankfully didn’t find his master standing in the doorway. What he did see, on the other hand, was a blue-feathered gryphon.
“Oh, Gallus, it’s you.” Bramble said, displaying a casual demeanor after being caught someplace he assumed he wasn’t supposed to be at night, “What are you doing out here this late?”
“I could ask you the same thing,” Gallus replied, “If I had a reason to care.”
Gallus, unlike the rest of Titanius’ boys, was not exactly a slave. He was, as he put it, ‘hired entertainment’, having forged a contract with Titanius to serve the functions of a sex slave, but in exchange, he was able to negotiate the terms of his servitude, getting many more privileges than the actual slaves and receiving payment for his services. It was apparently an altered version of a practice the minotaur used to employ with other races, hiring females to carry their children when attempts at romancing them failed, until even payment fell out of favor by those who would have to endure the acts of painful intercourse and agonizing birthing.
Before entering the contract, Gallus had been working as a mercenary for the minotaur, a job he was brought into by some gryphoness he knew. While in that job, he was tasked with aiding the minotaur in the capture of slaves by transporting those unfortunate enough to fall into their clutches. Because he wasn’t part of the hunting crew, his portion of the pay was a little underwhelming, and combined with the unsatisfying labor, Gallus found himself unhappy with his position in the minotaur’s operation. Then, one day Titanius took notice of him, both in his attitude towards his job and his physical appearance. Gallus was at first insulted, but his tune quickly changed when Titanius started throwing numbers at him. One signing of a legally binding Minopian contract later, he had exchanged his mercenary gear for a set of see-through harem garbs and relocated his residence to Minopolis.
“I guess I don’t blame ya for wanting to get away from Titanius for a minute,” said the gryphon, easily figuring out what Bramble was doing, “It’s not like you want to be here. Heck, I wouldn’t even be here if I wasn’t being paid my weight in gold.”
“You don’t like what the master does to you?” Bramble asked. Gallus often looked bored while taking care of Titanius’ home, but as the minotaur’s sexual servant, he tended to act with a bit more enthusiasm.
“Me? No, I’m straight.” Gallus answered, correcting any assumptions Bramble might have had to the contrary, “I just do what I have to in order to keep the boss happy. Who really enjoys their job anyways? I guess ponies like working with their ‘special talents’ and all, but back in Griffonstone, work was just a chore that most did as little as possible. Trust me, as much as it hurts to take a minotaur cock up the butt, it’s way less bothersome than pushing dirt with a broom.”
“So you don’t see anything wrong with this?” Bramble asked, not even sure what the ‘this’ he was referring to was.
“What? The enslavement? The rape? The fact that there’s a single woman living in here, and she’s the only one not having sex?” said Gallus, addressing every concern he could think of, “When it comes to the first two, I don’t really see that as my problem. Sure, I wouldn’t like it if I were the one wearing the collar, but it would still be better than living in the rundown shack I used to. Minopolis is pretty much an upgrade from my hometown.”
“An upgrade?” Bramble said, wondering if he could say the same.
He was a prince, and used to live in a palace, but from there he only knew his own people. Since having been dragged to Minopolis, he had been able to encounter a whole new exciting, if frightening, culture, and to vicariously meet other species that he would have never encountered in the seclusion of his xenophobic kingdom. Ironically, Minopolis was also much safer than Thicket, a forest kingdom in the heart of a monster infested forest, because the very people who destroyed it were now the protectors of those who used to live in it. Then there was the reduction of Bramble’s responsibilities. In Thicket, Bramble was being raised and groomed to one day serve every citizen in the kingdom, while here, he was responsible for serving only one.
“As for the gay sex thing, I don’t worry about it too much.” Gallus continued on, “I’ve been here longer than you, and I still would rather be between the legs of some fine feathery female than wrapped around a minotaur’s dick. Sure, they say that they have the ability to turn lesbians straight and guys gay, but I figure that unless you were somehow into it beforehand, it doesn’t really work. Still, gotta put on a smile for Titanius when he uses me. It’s part of my contract.”
“Huh...” Bramble replied, not sure what else to say as those words sunk in.
“All I’m saying is that you might have it bad, but things could be much worse. Seeing how Titanius hasn’t done more than fondle you when he gets in the mood, I’d almost say he has a soft spot for ya. Otherwise, you’d be put on the rape rack like your dad. Who knows, maybe if you play your cards right and butter up to him, he might be willing to give you a break and give you a deal like me.”
“Do you even think that’s possible?” Bramble questioned.
“Well… I suppose he doesn’t really have to, but I’ve heard that sometimes, people do things out of the kindness of their hearts. Way I see it though, it wouldn’t hurt to suck up a little.” Having said that, Gallus let his wings go to full span, and put a talon onto the balcony’s banister. “Anyways, I came out here to stretch my wings. Take my advice or leave it, it doesn’t really matter to me. Besides that, if the boss wakes up before I get back, tell him I’ll be back by morning.”
With a single flap and a push of his leg, Gallus took off into the sky, leaving Bramble with only his words. It was hard to believe that Gallus might be right in the way he viewed things, but it was equally difficult to argue with the freedom the gryphon displayed as a servant when he was chained down as a slave. However, the idea of sucking up to Titanius wasn’t the point that worried Bramble the most. It was the idea he proposed that one would only find gay acts attractive if they were already gay. Bramble, out of obligation to his kingdom and its ways, never humored the notion that he could like men, seldom being tempted by such thoughts, but now, he found himself surrounded by taboo that only seemed to excite him. What if he had been this way all along, and was being stifled by his culture into thinking this was not right, and now he had been thrust into another culture that couldn’t care less. It wasn’t enough to change his mind immediately, but it gave him something to think about.
Seeing no reason to stay outside any longer, Bramble returned to the room and awkwardly made his way back into the bed, climbing over the other deer in between the edge of the bed and his spot, said spot being right next to Titanius. He eased into the empty space and pushed himself up against his master, the crowded bed making it so that was the only way he could lay down comfortably.
This is my life now , Bramble thought as he closed his eyes, Maybe I should make the best of it .
As Bramble tried to get some sleep in before the sun rose, the minotaur stirred and wrapped his arm around the buck’s body, the word “Rubus” softly coming from his lips. Maybe he had noticed the deer’s absence, if only subconsciously, and was glad that he returned. Somehow, that made Bramble feel a little better about what Gallus had told him, knowing that he was in some way valued by the minotaur. With that thought in mind, the former prince of Thicket drifted to sleep, resting up to face another day of his new life as a servant of the minotaur.

If I feel up to it next December, I may do some chapters featuring the female deer and how they were treated throughout all this, but for the time being I have a few other projects to focus on.
