Chrysalis strode through the halls of her hive, heading for the room where all of the cocooned humans were stored. Her lover walked alongside her, escorting her. Changelings that were passing by and saw their Queen either bowed before her or saluted her lover. Out of habit, her lover would salute back.

Eventually, the two reached the cocoon room and turned their attention above them, to a single cocoon, separated from the others. In this cocoon, was a changeling. But it wasn't like any of the others. It was wearing a Queensland Police Service standard uniform, duty belt and load bearing vest, but minus the pants and shoes (for obvious reasons). And surprisingly, his duty belt and load bearing vest kept all of the standard equipment on it during the transformation (A .40-calibre Glock 22 pistol with 3 magazines, plus 90 rounds of ammunition, an extendable baton (21") concealed within pouch, a pair of Saflok Mark 5 hinged handcuffs, a Motorola APX 8000 radio and its pouch, a can of OC (oleoresin capsicum/pepper spray) spray within pouch, an X26 Taser, an Axon Body 2 body worn camera (BWC), a Maglite torch and an Apple iPhone X to access the operational computer QPRIME, given the name 'QLiTE').

Chrysalis looked at the changeling in his pod for a moment, then turned to her lover and said two words;

"Do it,"

"Yes, my love," He replied, before approaching the cocoon that contained the changeling, before drawing a reversed-grip Ka-Bar combat knifes from his combat belt, running towards one of the walls, jumping and pushing himself off and soaring towards the cocoon. With a simple flick of his hoof and an aggressive, combat-style yell, the blade of his Ka-Bar easily sliced through the wall of the cocoon, causing the goo inside to leak out, taking the changeling inside the cocoon with it.

As the changeling slowly seeped out of his cocoon, Chrysalis's lover landed on the ground in front of Chrysalis, looked over his shoulder at the sliced-open cocoon and wiped his knife's blade before he re-sheathed it in his belt.

"It is done, my love,"

"Thank you, sweet," Chrysalis replied, as she kept her gaze on the changeling coming out of his cocoon. And after a long while, the changeling came free of his cocoon and fell into the pile of Changeling goo. Chrysalis walked up to the fallen changeling and inspected his form closely.

"It's perfect. The transformation from his human form into a changeling was a complete success! Not one bit of his human body remains, except his brain, of course. It has remained the same, but has blended with a changeling brain perfectly. Now, he can learn our magic, yet retain his free will," Chrysalis stated, as she examined her newest subject.

"And his clothes have fitted to his new form as well. Although, I can't say the same for his pants and shoes. But he won't need them. It's that Glock he will need," Her lover added, coming over to her.

After a moment of looking, Chrysalis turned to her lover and said, "Bring him to the throne room. I do not wish for our guide to awaken in a pile of our fluid,"

"Yes, my love," Her lover acknowledged, picking up the sleeping changeling and carrying him on his back to the throne room.

But while the demonic changeling carried the sleeping changeling away, Chrysalis managed to get a good look at the sleepy one's flank.

Mmm, such a nice flank he has! Hmmm...

I didn't know how long I had been asleep for, and I just couldn't feel my limbs at all.

Ohh, my head. What happened to me?

"My... limbs. I... can't... feel them," I muttered, trying to stand up. But for some reason, I found it very difficult to stand up. Every time I tried to stand up, I fell down. Probably because I couldn't see. I was still waking up from that spell Chrysalis put on me.

"Awaken, my subject," I heard Chrysalis's voice say, before I felt all of my tiredness fade away from me. I was able to open my eyes, and found that I was lying on the ground in the throne room. Chrysalis was sitting on her throne, staring down at me with a satisfied look on her face and her lover was standing next to her.

"Mmm, yes. It's all perfect. Just stay there and let me admire your new form,"

Oh no. Is that what I think it means?

Just to check, I raised what I thought was my arm, and discovered that in its place, was a changeling hoof.

"Yes. You have been reborn, as a changeling,"

I looked over myself to see if this was still real. And everything resembling my old human form was gone. Now, I had a changeling body and everything that came with it. I could feel a horn on my head and the tips of two fangs rubbing against my lower lip. I could even tell that I had wings!!! I looked behind to admire them and I found out that I could move them with ease.

Oh god, this is unreal.

Now that I could see, I tried to get up once again. But once again, I fell down onto my belly again.

"You are too weak to get up. Give your new body a moment to rest," The Queen's lover then told me.

"Yeah, good idea," I told him, as I stayed on the ground. And quite soon, I could feel my energy being restored. I then got up and stood before my queen.

"Ahh, perfect. Now you are adapting to your new body," Chrysalis mused, as she got up from her throne and approached me. She then crounched down to my height, placed a hoof under my chin and forced me to look up at her. "But now, you must truly become a changeling,"

Become a changeling? What does that mean?

"W-what do you mean, my queen?" I asked, confused as hell.

Chrysalis just let out a small giggle and then said, "To truly become a changeling, you must learn how to behave like us and use your magic. Me and my lover shall teach you become who you are truly meant to be," She then stood back up and said, "Follow me,"

She then began to walk towards the massive doors at the entry to the throne room, and her lover had also started to follow her. I did the same, not knowing where she was taking me.
