As a Princess, Luna has to adhere to a strict list of mannerisms, rules, regulations, traditions, and all other forms of procedure. Among the vast amount, is how to handle the prospect of choosing a mate. While over a thousand years ago, both Celestia and herself had a well staffed and maintained harem all to themselves, times have changed. Even her sister had chosen to remain foalless and unmarried, while her niece has not only married but has sired a young filly.

But unlike her sister who spent a thousand years settling down to her own personal choice, and her niece getting married, Luna was still somewhat the same as she was before her banishment. She craved the feeling of being held by a strong stallion or stallions again. But times were different, and she wasn't sure what to do. But with Hearts and Hooves Day once again here, she noticed one stallion was having dreams of some mare other than his wife.
