She starts to tear up as she felt Luna`s magic unclasps the pendant from Ruby neck and puts it around her elegant blue neck. “Luna…” Ruby smiled at the Princess of the night happily with tears running down her cream-colored face as well as a wet spot spreading out upon the bed coming from her still rather sore neither region “Thank you for showing me.” Ruby then leaned into Luna wrapping her hooves around the princess in a warming embrace. Luna eyes widen up at the sudden affection as she gently hugs ruby back and opened her mouth to say something as she looks down at a sleeping ruby which brings a smile to the princess face ‘Just like you Fleur, and I`ve been keeping my promise to you.’ The thought of Fleur brings a tear to Luna cyan eye. She wipes it away with her hoof before it could stain her face as she felt her chest ache for her past lover. She looks out into the night sky and smiles and then back at Ruby. She carefully unwraps the cream-colored pegasus from her midnight blue coat. Her magic ignites lifting the bedsheets off the bed and down a hamper chute as Luna magic opens up a drawer and puts fresh linen for Ruby to sleep on. She then tucks ruby into the fresh made bed and kisses her on the forehead which of course made Ruby smile softly in her sleep. Sunlight streaks over Rubys face as she rolls over to her other side not wanting to get out of the nice warm bed. She soon yields to the undesirable task of getting up after tossing and turning but somehow, she did manage to sleep better in this bed than the one at her apartment. Ruby then opens up her amber eyes and looks around the Princesss room, and notice a letter on the nightstand addressed to her in elegant cursive. ‘Dear Ruby I hope you slept well last night. I have some meetings that I have to attend. I suggest you take a nice long bath before you leave, since you have to work today and expect a surprise during it. You don’t want to be smelling like sweat and sex~. Another thing please fly out from the balcony below to avoid any prying eye. ~Luna’ Ruby crumbles up the note furiously with her hooves and tosses it onto the bed. ‘You just had to remind me of my work and on top of that you didn’t even gave a date for our next session. Well at least you gave me permission to use your bathroom.’ Ruby stiffly gets up and stretches her aching wins some of her cream-colored feather fall out onto the dark blue bed as she makes her way to the huge bathroom. Her eyes widen at the size of the in-ground tub and the assortments of oils, conditioners and mane products. ‘Jeez even I don’t have that much beauty products for my body or mane and tail’ Ruby opted for a shower since that would be the quickest and easiest. She then starts heading forward what she thought was the shower but to her surprise it was many shower head at odd angles. ‘I`ll have to ask Luna about that next time we meet. Where is your shower Luna?’ Ruby mind wondered about the multiple showerheads as she wanders farther into the bathroom and finally founds the shower that she is use to back at her apartment. She turns on the hot shower nob first to let the water warm up as she goes back to the assortments of beauty products and starts browsing them. ‘Arora star, Midnight Beauty, Wildflower Meadows, Cloudy Rainfall…’ Ruby grabs the Wildflower Meadows soap and the Cloudy Rainfall shampoo and tucks them into her wings as she walks back to a steaming hot shower now. Ruby then goes about adjusting the water temperature through the shower knows being careful not to get her wings to get touch by the water as she adjusts it to her desired temperature. She slowly steps into the shower letting the slightly scalding water over her body and wings letting her aching muscles starting to relax. She then spreads her wings groaning and grimacing ‘Perhaps a break is in order. I don’t think my body or wings could handle another one of Luna`s session. I should also let her know about my wings’ Ruby starts scrubbing her mane and tail thoroughly with the shampoo and rinses it through and off. She then grabs the soap with her feather and lathers up a gray bath loofah tied onto a wooden handle and starts scrubbing her body with her wings the areas that she could reach. She then grabs the handle with her hooves and sits down on her flanks and unties the loofah with difficulty and starts scrubbing her forelegs and chest. She gasps and moans as she gently scrubs her mare hood and clit. Her face and chest soon become heated and flushed as she keeps on scrubbing. “Luna~” Ruby gently bites her lower lips and turns the crystal shower handle which makes the steaming hot water to ice cold running down her body. She slowly stands up and raises her tail and sighs contently as it runs down her sore mare hood. As Rose steps out, she realizes that she forgets the towels. As she starts looking through the cabinets her coat starts to become completely dry unlike her mane which starts to fizz up and Rose sighs annoyed as she just finds the black pristine towels neatly folded in the last cabinet that she checks. She grabs one with a hoof and finishes drying her cream-colored coat off and her eyes sparkles up as she see a full bottle of heavy duty fizz tamer and starts spraying into her mane and tail as she remembers where she saw the combs and brushes hanging on a wall next to a full body mirror. She grabs a black comb and a brush with a black handle as well from the white hooks. As she sprays more fizz tamer into her mane she grits her teeth in pain as the comb that she was using brushes the knots in it out and after about ten minutes of just using the comb her crimson and mauve mane was back to its signature wavy style as she starts brushing her tail with the brush, the bristles straitening out her tail quickly, as she learned to use the comb on it at a very young age when she was living with her parents. Ruby shivers as the memory came back to her as she continues to brush her tail. Ruby was flying through the rain as it was not raining hard enough to cancel school as she struggled to fly home up above the dark relenting clouds. The raindrops pelting into her coat and mane. She finally makes it home alone dripping water from her body her mane sticking to her face as she blindly makes her way towards the bathroom and blindly reaches for brush and a comb. She uses her hooves to brush her mane away from her face. “This doesn’t feel like how mama does it but it is getting the work done” Ruby then grabs the comb and runs it through her tail quickly and yells in pain as a thunder clap happens below her. Tears starts streaming down her face as she looks at the comb which had a huge clump of her tail stuck between the teeth of it as she looks at her tail in horror instead of being straight and long it was now thinner and a little bit shorter as she cries learning her valuable lesson that she will never forget. Ruby comes out from her memory and looks at herself in the mirror with her amber colored eyes as both her crimson and mauve mane and tail back to its signature wavy style and her cream-colored coat cleaned from the long session from last night. Ruby smiles pleased with the way she looks makes her way back to the bedroom and looks at the crumpled note on the ground and pick it up and rereads it “I hate past self for crumpling Luna`s note up” She thoughts as she pick the note up and looks for the saddle bag that Luna has lended to her and tucks the note inside a pocket without checking what is inside the bag first as she puts it onto her back making sure her wings can still flap with the saddle bag on her body. Ruby then heads to the lift and rides it down to the balcony below to the terrace and balcony following Luna`s direction as she takes off from the balcony a few of her feathers dropping onto the floor as she takes to the sky. A pony with a horn and wings watches Ruby leave unbeknownst to her as the pony picks up the feather and watches Ruby fly away from the castle //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 The Observatory //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 The Observatory Flight of Moonstone Chapter 1 The Observatory Ruby landed a part time job at the Royal Canterlot Observatory, despite the other applications that where better suited for job, the only reason why Ruby got the part time job was because she fixed the telescope last year. That actually being the job interview than the normal sit and try to sell yourself to the pony. Ruby smiles as she landed in front of the massive building and gives a quick nod to the guards that where guarding the building itself. A gray unicorn and a silver pegasus, the silver pegasus stops ruby from entering the building. Ruby looks at the pegasus bewildered on why she was being stop. “Uh… excuse me I do work here” Ruby says to the pegasus “You need your identification card ma`am” the pegasus says as the unicorn horn ignites glowing softly as he waits patiently. Ruby pouts a little before regaining her composer as she slowly starts rubbing against the pegasus wing hoping this could get a reaction, any reaction out of him “Come on guy, can you let me in without checking for my I.D card?” Ruby asks using her own body to try to seduce the pegasus. “Ma`am you can stop with your advances and you will not enter into this building without a I.D card, on orders of Princess Luna.” The pegasus says to a rather annoyed Ruby. Ruby growls at the stallion and looks at the name tag that he is wearing and it reads “Silver Streak” “You’re a fucking ass Silver” Ruby retorts as she starts looking into her bag knowing full well aware that she doesn’t even have a I.D card. As she opens the first pouch of her ‘borrowed’ saddle bag she had to keep her wings and heart pulse in check as she stares at the assortment of sex toys in the bag as well as the crumpled-up note that Luna had written for her today. “Ropes! A ball gag! Black and white leggings! A fucking riding crop! This isn’t my bag! This is Lunas! Shit! I cant let those assholes search this bag at all or they will be questioning me and I could get fired before I even start my job!’ “Ma`am if you don’t have your I.D. then can we have your name?” the unicorn asks his horn not glowing anymore as he stares at Ruby “Gah!” Ruby jumped up and looked at both guards with a deep red blush as she concentrates all of her willpower not to make her wings pop out. “Im Ruby Star and I started working here last year, the only reason why I got this job is because I fixed the telescope out of boredom waiting for my interview. I didnt know that was the actual interview. As soon as I was done fixing the telescope the interviewees started sending every pony home. As I started to leave, they stopped me and told me to stay and asked me so many questions about what was wrong with the telescope and how did I fixed it. I told them it just looked ‘wrong’ and out of place. I also told them that I rather be looking at stars through that telescope than my portable one that I have at home” Ruby explains to the guards on how she got her job here at the Observatory’s as the doors swings opens and revealing a mare with a bright orange coat and yellow mane walks right up to Ruby “Sorry Ruby but I forgot to give you your I.D last week.” the orange mare says smiling brightly and practically drags Ruby into the observatory. Ruby quickly grabs her bag not wanting the guards to go through it. Once fully inside the massive room and the doors close with a deafening thud, Ruby untangles herself from the mare. “Thank you, Nova, for helping me out back there” Ruby replies as she looks at Nova who is already writing down some notes in a piece of paper “It was my fault not giving your I.D. last week as your friend and your boss, also I was starting to wonder on why you weren’t walking in since it’s not like you to be late unless you actually have a valid reason like last year you got pranked on by some pony and got Poison Joke which made your wings so tiny!” Nova giggles and smiles which causes Ruby to smile as well and a small giggle “Yeah, still don’t know who did it to me though. Now what are we doing today?” Ruby asks as she sets her bag away next to her work station which is clustered with tools, lenses and notes. “Well we are finally going to open the telescope doors” Nova says with a smile “Really!? Where finally open the doors!” Ruby shouted, she felt like a little filly again when she got her first telescope “Yes, my excited assistant but where only opening the doors this evening” Nova says to Ruby hoping to calm her down a little. “Why only the doors and why so early?” Ruby asks as she gets over her wave of euphoria and looks at her boss with a concerned look as she also hopes that Luna won`t be mad at her for taking the wrong bag. “One it will take us almost all day for just the both of us to open them both up and two to air out the observatory.” Nova says walking over to one of the massive doors with a metal handle on the bottom and another handle on the very top. “Where do you need me to be?” Ruby asks looking at the massive doors “I need you to be pulling the handle at the top since you can fly and I will be pulling the other handle down here using my magic, once where done with this door I will tell you why you got hired here but for a different reason than fixing the telescope.” Nova replies her horn igniting with a blazing orange and yellow magic. Ruby quickly flies up to the top of the door and starts pulling on the heavy handle at the top with Nova doing the same at the bottom. The massive heavy door slowly groans as it begins to move on the metal tracks letting in the afternoon strays of sunlight. “Ruby! Where done with the right side! Come down and take a rest” Nova calls out to Ruby very much to her delight as she glides down to the floor her wings aching even more now and her body aching as she collapses on the floor exhausted. Nova chuckles at the sight “Nova why can`t we just leave the doors open?” Ruby asks rolling onto her back spreading her wings out onto the cold tile floor sighing gratefully “That’s will never happen Ruby. because we will both get fired by both Princess’s” Nova says gingerly touching her burning red horn with a hoof. “Both Princess`s? Princess Celestia I can understand because she put some of Equestria taxes into building the Observatory. But what does Luna have to do with it?” “If youre wondering why Princess Luna is because she was the one to suggest the Observatory to Princess Celestia.” Nova replies as if hearing Rubys thought walking over to the other handle. Ruby sits up and flies to the top of the other door and starts pulling it revealing a beautiful pink sky turning into a starry night. “Oh…” Nova says sadly as she the sky looking “Something wrong?” Ruby asks as she glides down almost crashing into Nova “Well I wanted us to both see the sky changing from the observatory.” Nova says to Ruby. “Well we can always do it tomorrow since where both staying the night here” Ruby says sitting up and puts a wing over Nova trying to cheer her up “Yeah,” Nova smiles at Ruby “Let’s go see our room.” //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Memory or Nightmare //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Memory or Nightmare Chapter 2 Memory or Nightmare As both mares enter into the room it was more a like another office for them. On the farthest wall straight in front of them was an elegant glass stained window of both princess circling around the sun and moon together over the land of Equestria as the rest of the windows were clear to let in natural sun and moonlight in. On the left wall was a library of scroll, books and astrological documents that Luna has donated to the observatory. “Wow I didn’t know princess Luna was this serious in Astrology” ruby remarks reading a plaque of the donated library “Of course, she is, in a way we are technically studying about her as well.” Nova replies as she walks over to the beds. “And she will be helping us read the night sky as well since most of those scrolls are outdated by almost a thousand years.” This made Ruby heart jumped a bit as she starts to think about her and Luna just gazing up at the night sky and say the name of constellations together “Do you know when will be able to start bringing this library up to date? And how soon can we start?” ruby asks nervously it’s not that she didn’t mind Nova but she hasn’t told her about Luna and her and their sessions during the day. “Probably next week if not sooner, why?” Nova asks now curios on why her assistant asked as she takes a look at Ruby still holding onto the bag and then she slyly smiles at Ruby. “No reason” Ruby replies as she sets the bag down at the foot of a bed. “Ruby, I won’t ask you right now, but I do have a suspicion about you” Nova says as she makes her way to the bathroom “Huh, what do you mean by that!?” Ruby replies her voice going an octave higher than normal as she follows Nova into the bathroom and takes a look around. The bathroom was exactly likes Lunas bathroom but without the pool and the array of shower heads in the corner of the bathroom. Nova sets her toiletries at the sink and looks at Ruby “Did you bring anything at all for tonight since were staying here?” “We are!?!” Ruby shouts “Yeah, did I forget to tell you that last week as well?” Nova asks as she thinks about it “You didn’t mention anything about it since we were both busy trying to get the lens adjusted on the telescope and to keep it undamaged why there was construction going on in the observatory.” Ruby quickly stated “I have no toiletries and all my stuff, except for my tools, are at my apartment in downtown Canterlot!” “Well then what’s in your bag then?” Nova requires as she brushes by ruby to get to her accidently stolen bag. Ruby quickly flies in front of Nova and stops from reaching for her bag “my personal stuff. Please don’t open it” Ruby pleads to Nova “All right but I better not here any moaning when I am trying to sleep. I know that mares have needs as well.” Nova says her suspicion about ruby almost completely true now as she gets into the other bed. “For a mare like yourself you do a horrible job at keeping a poker face and you can use my toiletries as of now. Now let’s get some rest before we have to get up soon.” Ruby nods and gets into the other bed and is surprised that the mattress feels like a cloud and her pillow almost always cold. “Mmm this is nice I wonder if Luna suggested this or if these are standard beds for all ponies that serve the Princesses.” As her body starts to relaxes and rests as ruby drifts off to sleep. Ruby smiles as her wings catches a warm updraft of air as she flies over the Everfree forest in the night sky. Her heart racing as she sees Luna flying next to her, no not flying falling. “LUNA!” Ruby screamed as she dives after the princess. Her wings flapping to gain more speed but Luna keeps falling faster than Ruby could fly as the ground came barreling up towards them. Ruby shuts her eyes as one of her hooves touches Luna coat only too late as Ruby slowly opens up her eyes and looks around only to see complete darkness. No light anywhere. “L-Luna?” Ruby says out loud her voice echoing throughout the darkness “Do not say that name!” a voice screams throughout the darkness “She imprisoned me in her wretched body! Did ponies forget about Nightmare Moon!?” Ruby starts to sweat nervously as she looks around for any where to run and hide away from the threatening voice of Nightmare Moon. “N-no we still have to learn about you in school so that we won’t make the same mistakes as we did in the pass. We learned that you and Luna” ruby starts to explain but is cut off by Nightmare Moon now curios tone of voice “Luna? Not Princess Luna?” Ruby eyes widen up as she realized her mistake but she didn’t want to anger Nightmare Moon any more than she already had “Y-yes, Luna” A long and eerie silence fell between the two ponies before nightmare Moon spoke up again “You’re her second lover” Nightmare Moon says putting the pieces of the puzzle together and appears before Ruby her snake like pupils looks over ruby “This is my first time seeing one of Lunas lovers…I do get lonely in Lunas body so…thank you for coming” Nightmare moon says as tears start to form in her eyes Ruby looks at Nightmare Moon unsure on what to do. Here a pony standing before here that hasn’t been loved in over a thousand years. Ruby then cautiously walks up to Nightmare moon and hugs her. This brought a torrent of tears flowing down out of Nightmare Moon eyes as she wails out loud in joy as the hollow empty feeling that has been inside her finally gets replaced with warmth and love from a pony that her jailor. Nightmare moon continues to cry into Ruby back as a thought crosses her mind as she slows her breathing to calm down and looks at Ruby. “Did my hug help?” Ruby asks nervously “It did Ruby and thank you” Nightmare Moon gently removes Ruby from her body and walks away into the darkness to wonder aimlessly as Ruby watches nervously as the darkness that surrounds her turns into a bright light and blinds her as Ruby finds herself sitting on a dark gray cloud overlooking Equestria. “Ruby?” Ruby gasps and Jumps as she looks at the pony sitting next to her a young Luna and a pony that looks like a nightmare moon but without the snakelike eyes “Who`s Ruby” the pony asks Luna confused “Just a name and a gem Elora” Luna replies and nuzzles the pony “Luna one day you`ll be in control of the moon and dreams and I will always be there for you” Elora says to Luna “I know Elora… I know…” Luna says sadly as the dream fades away and is replace by Luna and Elora yelling at each other “You have to stop this Elora! You’re going to corrupt yourself with nightmarish magic!” Luna yells at Elora who is standing in front of a dark shadow erupting from the ground “Nightmarish you say… I like that… witness the birth of a new and powerful pony little Luna… a stronger and powerful pony than you and your worthless sister!” Elora yells as she jumps into the shadow her body elongating and becoming slimmer and taller and as she opens her eyes and stares at Luna with piercing emerald snake like pupils as the shadow goes inside Elora Luna steps back as Elora steps onto the ground the grass blades turning black “Elora?” Luna asks cautiously “Elora is no more Luna she is gone forever! Only to be replace by me! Nightmare Moon!” Nightmare moon yells and flies after a fleeing Luna “Where do you think your going?!You and I are going to be together forever!” as Nightmare moon crashes into Luna and both of them plummets to the ground causing a crater to form from the crash as Luna whimpers and cries “Elora! Stop! Please don’t make me regret what I`m about to do” the young princess of the night cries out as her horn ignites “You can try but you will fail little Luna and I will take over your body and rule all of Equestria!” Nightmare moon shouts Luna horn erupts with white magic and starts binding Nightmare Moon as she cries “It’s the only way to protect you Elora and Equestria” As Luna eyes open up and glowing brightly as Nightmare Moon slowly shrinks as the white magic bindings pulls her towards Luna Luna`s body glows brightly as she struggles to keep Nightmare Moon in her body. Two minds fighting over the same body. Luna suddenly collapses as she breathes heavily into the earth her mind overpowers Nightmares Moon as she lets out a huge wail of sadness into the night sky as she sobs loudly. Tears flowing out of her eyes like a river, her first friend and perhaps lover gone to her forever she seems. Ruby wakes up shaking as she looks at rising moon and she relaxes a little “Luna… what happened?” As Ruby gets out of her bed and stretches, she looks over at Nova who is still snoring softly with a soft smile on her face which made Ruby curious on what she was dreaming about. “You want to know?” Luna asks as she comes up to Ruby quietly. Luna heart starts to flutter as she stares at the princess unsure how to answer “Yes and no I know you can see her dreams but you’re a princess its your duty to watch over ponies dreams but it would be rude of me to see Nova`s dream” Ruby answers quickly and Luna silently kisses her on the lips which made Ruby wings flare up but her heart melted into the kisses as she slowly calms down “Better?” Luna asks as Ruby nods softly “What are you doing here?” As Ruby wings slowly relaxes against her body as she stares at Luna curiously. “Doing my royal duty as a princess to help update the star maps” Luna replies smiling back at Ruby. Author's Note Sorry its been four month in uploading a chapter I have been busy getting ready for a University in my city as well as having working my butt off in retail. I know theses are just excuses but please be patient with me and my stories; also a new story i have been writing on might appear here ;) //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Telescoping Love //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Telescoping Love “But its impossible to update them?” Ruby says as she stares at Luna walking over to Nova bedside. “Was impossible but due to Princess Twilight Sparkle and her work on making new astral maps with some help from me, we can now start mapping our stars.” Luna gently nudges Nova awake who was not pleased to be awaken up at the unpleasant hour of the night till she realized that Princess Luna was there “Princess Luna!” Nova yelped and blushed slightly at the Princess “What are you doing here?” Luna chuckled at the blushing bright orange mare. “Well like I told Ruby before doing my royal duties and helping with updating the star maps” “But that isn’t supposed to happen till Thursday night?” Nova quickly gets out of her bed and walks over to a wall that had a calendar hanging on it and she looked and saw that tonight was the night that they were indeed creating the astral maps. “I am so sorry Luna, I would of have things prepared before you came to the Observatory” Nova admits and hangs her head down in shame Luna smiles and walks over to Nova and lifts her head up “Don’t be sorry, you can make it up to me later, but for now we need to start” Luna floats over the empty astral maps to a table where Nova had cleared with her magic. A twinge of jealousy was felt in Ruby heart as she saw her secret lover and her friend and coworker worked together in harmony “This is just work-related stuff Ruby nothing is going on between them. At least I hope.” Ruby makes her way over to her work bench and fiddles with some screws and bolts making a quick replica of the telescope that she works absent minded before she was incased in a warm familiar blue magic and floated over to Luna “You can help to instead of being the cast out of us Ruby” Luna says gently which brings a flutter to ruby heart and also a tiny bit of pain. Ruby knew she was an outcast even within the kingdom she was different because she liked working hard unlike other mares that wanted to just want to float by in life, “Hey Ruby, what would you think would improve the bearing on the telescope?” Nova asked actually looking at ruby as a friend instead of her boss. Ruby was grateful for this because it gave her a mind a distraction from the love triangle thoughts she was having. “Well, the Number Eight Mk 1, bearings I know that they used heavily in other countries heavily artillery but if I can get my hooves on just a couple the telescope could have a smoother transition from focusing lens and the elevation for it would drastically increase.” Ruby says smiling actually enjoying herself while talking about the telescope and was unaware that Luna had wrapped her flowing astral tail around ruby crimson one. As Ruby rambled on about telescope pieces both Luna and Nova smiled at each other silently each feeling pleased that they cheered up their friend and lover. However, the process of updating the astral maps was tedious and scrutinizing. Each astral map had to have a tiny bit of Luna magic to be integrated into the map itself and under neath moonlight for up to three weeks. Soon the sky was slowing turning from the violet night sky to the warming pink sky from the sun. Nova quickly puts the finished maps into a closet to make sure that they avoid damage from the sun and locks them up with a spell. “I am impressed with you two we have completed about one fourth of the astral map making process, Luna yawns and slowly stands up unraveling her tails from Rubys which made Ruby cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she didn’t remember Luna ever doing so. “I will be in my chambers for the rest of the day getting some sleep, and you two should do the same” Nova and Ruby nodded and were both succumbs to a wave of tiredness even though the were used to staying up late this morning was different perhaps that they were actually doing something instead of just staring through a telescope or perhaps something else but either way both mares retired to their beds and laid there until Luna left and locked the observatory Ruby who was somewhat awake her mind started to wonder about Nova and Luna her heart ache to know the truth between the two of them. “Hey Nova? You awake?” “Hmm?” Nova replied trying to go to sleep “Do you and Luna have a relationship?” Nova rolled over and stared at Ruby wondering on why she asked that type of question “I mean if you count like she my supervisor relationship then yes but for a lover relationship I don’t know. Unlike you I can see how much happier you are around her” “H-How did you know?” Ruby asked cautiously at Nova and wonder what else she knew about Luna and her “The way you two acted around each other tonight and you seemed a whole better when she floated you over to her.
