My name is Tiny Fang Wintersong, and i am a changeling of the western kind (Those black ones), hatched in Everfree forest, and raised by ponies in Baltimare.
Number 28176015, a medic in The Rainbow Squad of The Lunar Guard's fift army.
The history is written by the victors, they say. That is why i have written this diary you have somehow acquired. Hopefully we aren't all dead now.
This war was started by a battle known as The Canterlot Wedding, a rogue hive infiltrating and attacking Canterlot and it's residents on the day of princess Cadence and captain of the royal guard, Shining Armor Sparkle's wedding. A battle in which which Princess Mi Amore Cadenza of love, and The Elements Of Harmony, save for Celestia's student Twilight Sparkle, died by the hoof of a changeling tyrant, queen Crysalis.
The ponies started to hunt us down and kill us, just for being what Queen Galaktia (a pony god) made us. I wasn't hatched yet in that time. Our whole race got the blame, not just Crysalis, who was just a rogue with a small hive. My family, i and my parents Diamond Dice and Rolling Thunder, and my sister Frostwing, moved away from Crystal Empire, to a town named Appeloosa on the other side of Equestria, but our leaders have started a total war, and two days ago the Empire's flight bombers burned our city down, and i ran away from home to join the Lunar Infantry.
I used to say, and think, that only madmares go to war if they have a chance to decide for themselves, but it has occured to me that a single person might be able to turn the tides of fate, and, even if my disabilities would allow me to stay home, i can't stand by and watch the Solar Empire's atrocities.
To them we are just animals, beasts, and demons that are coming for them and their fillies and foals because we can. They think they have to act before we "strike again". Celestia's advisor Dark Light thinks that's the will of Galaktia. Once more, a genocide in the name of a god. A story as old as race.
The ponies' actions sparked the tensions between them and the other races, griffins, dragons, mules, and zebras for example, whom the Equestrian ponies had reigned supreme over for millenias. Rebellions rose and spread like a wildfire, but, without a competent leaders, were quickly put down and nay-sayers swiftly silenced by Dark Light.
In the chaos, princess of the night, Luna, returned from her lunar exile to challenge the rule of her sister and rallied the revolutionaries and the oppressed under the banner of The Lunar Guard (officially The New Lunar Republic), to save our kind, to overthrow tyrant Celestia, and to fight for a society without the caste system ( The Alicorns -> The Unicorns ---> Pegasi -------> Earth Ponies ---------> The Casteless ------------------------> Changelings), in which ponies and other creatures exist as equals. Dreams are dreams, and won't be coming true in my lifetime, but it's the duty of each of us to fight for the coming generations and ensure they have a future. We have to leave them with a good world after we'll be gone.
Author's Note
The war of this story is supposed to be the mix of WW2 and the american civil war with WW1 technology, with pegasuses, griffins, and mechanical wings replacing the planes.

2 - Tapes From Stalliongrad
I-m *--static--* Apple, *--static--* of Applejack Apple, The Element Of Honesty. A commandant in Princess Celestia's Golden Battalion.
*Gunshots from the background*
The Siege Of Stalliongrad has lasted for over four months, and the winter is already there. The Lunatics have trapped us in, and we're rapidly running out of food. We've tried breaking the blockade several times, without a success, and our morale has broken.
*Noises are starting to close in*
The rare days we get hay, the journey across the ruins is too hard for many weary and starving ponies, ending up being their last voyage.
Some, in desperation, have resorted doing some . . . Very sick things.
*The room is shaken by an explosion*
*--static--*. Despair, *--static--*.... The changelings must feel like this.
Before we slaughter them. They aren't even guilty. Those who are died years ago. They don't deserve that. Nobody does. But what could i have done? I've always been a coward. Only Queen Galaktia may judge me. And she doesn't need to. For i am guilty and i know it. I should have known this before joining this bandit army, but after Applejack's death i couldn't think straight and all i wanted was blood. I know not whether this is hell or purgatory, but it isn't like this matters. Nothing matters anymore. It's too late for an epiphany.
My squad's mission is..... was....... To help the *--static--* to guard the seed vault, which we'll need after the war to replace the fields that were destroyed. We starved ourselves - and the civilians - for our fillies, for their future. I killed a mare, with a shovel, when she broke in through the window, and many of my soldiers after hunger started driving them mad and they turned on me. I can't protect this place alone, not anymore. I too am too broken.
All my friends are already gone, and i'll be with them soon. Maybe. One can always hope even if it won't do any good.

There is no heaven for sinners like us, and after i am gone, nobody will even know i ever existed. While i have grown disillusioned over these weeks, i'm already damned, and all i have left is my oath. My honor *--static--* my loyalty.
*Banging and shouting from the doors*
The citizens are there now. I would have kept on fighting, had my strenght not betrayed me. I can't go down in a blaze of glory like a GB officer should. For that, my princess, my god, i beg your forgiveness.
