"The Hippo-Griff, Yak, and Dragons have agreed to help us, and we have yet to hear from the griffons."Celestia declared from a scroll she was reading. "Thank goodness we have Spike and Smolder, otherwise we would be short. Sombra most likely will force the Crystal ponies to fight with him, if he has not yet been defeated. And seeing as Tirek and the Helhest King are missing, means they are already at the Ether gates. This is not good."

Thorax placed a comforting hoof on his fellow royal and smiled. "I'm sure we can beat them. The magic of friendship has always defeated any foe, no-matter how powerful, or how many there may be."

Fluttershy, Ocellus, Pinkie, and Rarity bobbed their heads in agreement.

"Surely Twilight and the others are on their way back right now. I bet they've thrown King Sombra back into the darkness. No need to stress yourself darlin-er I mean your majesty." Rarity chided.

Celestia made a face. 'That may be true. Twilight has never failed to complete a task, and with two other element bearers, and Lulu by her side, I'm sure she's already defeated that foul tyrant.'

---

"Bring forth the prisoners!" Rabia bellowed.

They were in the throne room, a crystalline alter off to one side with a large tome, and a statue of an Umbrum wearing a crown. A couple of candles were lit all around it.

Sombra eyed her warily. "Mother..Are you sure? I've never done this before." He looked down at his hooves nervously.

"You'll do fine. Besides, the Rituals of the Umbrum must become familiar with you if you are going to be our king." The Umbrum mare chided. "Now, you see that virgin mare tied up there? We will chant the creed, then you'll go forth and eat her heart. Another creed will be said, then you'll offer the corpse to our first king. Then you will do it again on your own to a prisoner of your choice. Just remember, It has to be a virgin."

She pointed a ghastly hoof at a statue behind the chained, struggling white mare mare with a pale pink mane and a blue gem for a cutie-mark, then at the four tied mares.

'This...Is going to be really weird.' Sombra thought. "Is this even necessary?" He asked.

All the Umbrum gasped.

"Of course it's necessary!" Rabia spat. "Why? Never eaten a pony before? Never eaten meat? Or are you scared?"

"Well...I..Does one rabbit and a bunch of cod count?"

"You'll get used to it. It tastes similar to a rabbit heart. Let us start the ritual now." She handed him a dagger. "You'll need this."

"What is taking Sombra so long?" Tirek whined. "I'm tired of waiting!"

"Silence!" The helhest King snapped.

The now evil changeling's buzzed impatiently. "Yeah! I wanna destroy them ponies houses! Suck the love outta them!" One pipped up.

Chrysalis smiled. "Trust me my children, we will get the chance. Just you wait."

"Alright troops. Yak strong, ponies strong, Hippo-Griffs strong, Dragon strong, but we are stronger if we work together! We defeat the monsters and bring back peace to pony land!" A large yak bellowed. "We save Crystal Ponies from terrifying Umbrum now, and pony home from other monsters after! Charge!"

The yaks stampeded down the slope and towards the Crystal Empire. When they got there, they plowed through the empty streets, and towards the castle.

When they burst into the throne room, A sinister chant was being said. The king sat in front of the squirming mare, holding a dagger in his iron-clad hooves.

"Yaks will destroy you!" A warrior called out, rushing towards the nearest Umbrum.

"Get them!" Rabia roared.

Sombra spooked at the sudden noise and the dagger fell to the ground. Luna, who was tied up with the rest of her friends in a corner, managed to wiggle out of her bounds. She lunged for the king, and they tumbled to the ground in a ferocious wrestle.

"Get off!" Sombra roared, shooting her in the face.

Luna threw a punch at him, and he kicked her in the gut. The alicorn coughed, and went hurling against a wall.

"Luna!" Twilight cried. She struggled to get free.

"Imma kick your ass!" Rainbow bellowed. "Imma kick all your asses!"

Sombra stood, and looked at the mare on the table. her eyes where full of terror and grief. "Y-y-your majesty!" She squeaked.

"Do it now Sombra!" Rabia bellowed form somewhere. "Kill her, and eat her heart!"

'What's gonna happen to me if I don't? If I do?' Sombra picked up the dagger once again, and took a shaky breath. All sound was tuned out. He looked at the victim. She was sobbing uncontrollably, but he couldn't hear her. He felt sick. Sure he had beaten, tortured, and killed thousands of these ponies, but he had never eaten one. What would it taste like? Cannibalism sounded just absolutely..well...disgusting. Vile on all levels. He just barely heard some one screaming at him.

"DO IT SOMBRA!" Rabia bellowed from her spot on the floor.

GORE SCENE

Sombra took a deep breath, and dropped the blade into the mare's stomach, dragging it up to her chest slowly. Time froze, and he heard the mare scream in agony, blood rushing up from her stomach and onto her pearly crystalline flesh. Sombra dragged it up through her chest. Then he wrenched it out, breathing heavily like he had run a marathon. Every one was staring at him, looks of horror from the ponies and yaks, and looks of glee from the Umbrum. The room was silent, all heads turned to him.

"Now eat the heart like a good boy." Rabia cheered.

Sombra turned away from her and winced at the torn body. 'These Umbrum sacrifices where...Worse than...Worse than me?' He thought.

Closing his eyes, he stuck a hoof into the ripped mare, and fished around for her heart, tugging it out. Blood dripped off his hooves, and he nearly gagged when he looked at it.

"Eat it now!" Rabia snarled.

"But I-" Sombra started.

"EAT IT!"

Without a word, he shoved it into his mouth. It was disgusting! He gagged violently, and threw up his head, biting into it. It burst into his mouth, and he nearly puked it up. Blood trickled down his chin, staining his grey fur.

GORE SCENE OVER

"That's a good boy!" Rabia cheered when he managed to actually swallow it.

Sombra looked very pale. He opened his mouth and panted like he had been under-water for a full three minutes.

"You monster!" Luna roared.

"Get the cannibal!" A yak bellowed.

Suddenly Sombra was over-whelmed with dozens of yaks, all hurling punches at him, or trying to kick him with their short legs. Their armour was a lot more stronger than his, and he was nearly crushed in seconds.

"Enough!" He roared, over-coming his sickness for a moment and blasting the yaks off him.

They went flying into a wall, giving loud feral grunts and roars.

"Get them!" Rabia screeched to the other shadow creatures. "No one assaults our king and gets away with it!"

The battle in the throne room started up again, this time with even more furious yaks and umbrum fighting to the death.

"The yaks should be here by now." What could be holding them?" Celestia murmured to herself.

The armies where all there except for the yaks, and the griffons, who refused to help the ponies. Gallus was looking defeated, sitting in a corner of the room. Ocellus was comforting her friend.

"Perhaps they ran into some sort of trouble?" Thorax suggested.

"Maybe. Twilight and the others should have been here a while ago as well. I can't bear think of what might've happened." The sun monarch drooped slightly.

"I'm sure they'll get here in time."

"I hope your right."

A guard came up to the two rulers then. "Your majesty," He bowed, "the army is getting anxious. Perhaps we should try our luck without the yaks?" He fidgeted.

"We'll give them an hour to show up." Celestia said. "Then...We'll try our luck."

The guard nodded, and scampered back to the sea of creatures.

"Oh I hope Twilight and the others are okay!" Fluttershy squeaked.

Rarity placed a comforting hoof on her shoulder, and Pinkie smiled.

"Twilight's probably on her way here now, with a meanie called Sombra locked away in darkness like he deserves!" The plucky earth-pony reassured her friend.

"I-I hope so!"

"Enough waiting! I'm tired of being patient! Sombra is missing, or he clearly doesn't want to waste his time taking over Equestria now that he has his little playground!" Chrysalis huffed, stomping a holey black hoof impatiently.

"We have to wait for the gates to finally open anyways!" The helhest king snapped. "So shut your yap you impatient vermin."

"My bet is that those pesky ponies broke out of their cells and killed him." Tirek replied.

"Whaddya bet pal?" A changeling that looked rather sluggish asked. He raised up a cup of some sort of fizzy drink, and chugged it, half its contents drenching his hard black shell, and dripping off him, splashing to the ground. "I got thousand pebbles!" He giggled stupidly and wiped his mouth.

"One more hour, and the sun will be positioned so we can open the gates and free the helhest army, then we will destroy the pony race!" The zombie king bellowed.

The rest of the beasts cheered.

"To the king!" The drunken changeling cried.

"To the king!" The rest cheered.
