Author's Note
For Star Wars I will be using the mandalorian’s from legends with certain canon additions. For reference I’m using the republic commando books as my basis for the mandalorian people.
For Mass Effect the main change I will make is the Equestrians will be the “humans” of the Mass Effect galaxy, history will be explained.
Chapter 1
(Citadel Embassies)
Councilor Luna was making her way toward the council chamber after receiving an urgent message from the other councilors. A small scowl could be seen on her face as she was deep in thought as to why the council had called her and what could be the urgency. She was wearing a simple business casual suit that was a light indigo, Luna stood a little over six feet, she had dark brown skin, folded neatly on her back were a pair of blue wings, her long indigo hair flowed with an invisible wind while small star’s sparkled inside, and sprouting from her head was an indigo horn. She stopped right outside the door taking a deep breath a cool calculated voice spoke beside her “Princess Luna how are you ?”
Looking to the voice Luna saw the famous Liara T’soni one of the last people to see her son Shepherd before he sacrificed himself to bring about the synthesis. Smiling kindly to her Luna said “Now Liara you can call me mother after all the time we’ve known eachother.”
“Sorry but we are in public and this is a professional meeting.”
“Yes indeed it is, but I would like to see my granddaughter before school starts, but let’s see what my colleagues want.” Luna said placing a hand on her honorary daughter’s shoulder, smiling back at her Liara said “Yes she has been asking to see Nana Luna and Tia again.”
Pressing the button next to the door the two walked in seeing the new council members waiting for them along with a portable reaper unit. Quickly taking a seat the group skipped passed the pleasantries Luna was the first to speak “Now why have we been called here Councilor Vakarian ?”
Shifting in his seat the Turian looked to the reaper who offered no inclination of what he may be thinking. Sighing the councilor turned to Luna and rubbed his chin saying “Well we have dire news that was just given to us by the reapers.” casting a look at the reaper sitting next him the machine finally talked “My brethren have found missing data from ships that were killed during our........confrontation five years ago.”
“The data what did you get from......”
“Cruix was the units name and the data he sent is.......worrying, during the war we spread across any and all front’s making sure we found any colonies you may have had.”
“As we know, now out with it Sentinel what data did you get.” The Salarian dalatrass snapped while drumming her fingers on the table looking toward her Sentinel said “They tried to send data on an unknown civilization that had killed the other ships in its party.”
“What did the party consist of ?”
“Dalatrass Xulla the first was one scout ship and five overlord class reaper vessels.”
“And your saying this system KILLED four overlord reapers ?” Liara suddenly interrupted all eyes were cast toward her, in the history that reapers had shared with all the galaxy in the millions of years they had done the cycle the number of destroyed overlord reapers was only 400 units most of which were destroyed during the prothean cycle which was 156 units. The war five years ago had around twelve destroyed units each of which had to be ganged up on before destruction. Pulling an arm up Sentinel activated his Omnitool and began to upload the data which showed a slightly corrupted video.
The video began with the reapers coming into contact with four ships several times larger than the reaper’s, almost immediately the two fleets began to move toward each other, the reapers launching their scouts to land on the planet the ships were guarding. What the group could make out was that ships were a dull grey with a long dark blue stripe going down the middle, they were built long and triangular, toward the middle of the ship was indents which formed a pair of wings, standing above the ship were two towers. Any other details couldn’t be seen due to angle and quality of the vid.
After a moment the battle began, red and blue energy raced across the void to their respective targets detonating when contact was made. The battle short and ended with the unknown fleet only losing one of its ships, from what looked to be self sacrifice, while the other’s quickly flanked the reapers and began a bombardment that destroyed the ships before turning their attention to the scout ship. The scout had turned to retreat from the battle, but was crippled within moments of the larger ships taking notice, it was only another fifty seconds before the video ended in static signaling the end of Cruix.
Quickly pressing a couple buttons a new video was shown, from what they could guess from a valkyries perception, this one on the ground the image was good but due to the speed and amount of fire that they were under the enemy was barely legible. The ground battle was almost as savage as the space the reaper forces had little time to begin the attack when their forces were under attack. After fast forwarding through the video to a point when one of the valkyries was on the ground trying to stand, suddenly a equestrianoid figure walked into the frame, stopping the video the group saw a figure wearing a silver helmet with a black T on the face.
Luna stared at the video she could watch it a hundred times, in all her years and all her battles she had never seen tides turn so fast and victory be so absolute. Looking over to Sentinel she tried to find the right words but was beaten by Liara’s father asking “So how the hell did you get this video.”
“Reapers are equipped to send out any and all data when another one of our kind is close enough, even if we are dead, what I have gathered is that a ship looking for our missing comrades and possible worlds to colonize.” Sentinel explained pointing to the video he rewound it to the ships, stopping it at the point when they had opened fired before he continued “Due to the countless cycles we have learned to review any and all data that we acquire, so when this data was found the system was flagged and left behind to be later............investigated.”
“But why haven’t they tried to contact the rest of the galaxy it’s been five years ?” Liara asked staring at the image of the ships, leaning back in her chair Luna said “Maybe they don’t want to have anything to do with us.”
“What do you mean.”
“Look at what is sitting across from us, look who rebuilt our relays, look who is helping us rebuild colonies, look who is teaching us, all you have to do is just look around.” Luna said as she pointed toward Sentinel before waving her hand around as if pointing out the reasons she continued “The enemy that was once wiping out galaxies is now the galaxies closest ally, would you want to leave your system if it was attacked and that enemy was friends with the rest of the galaxy.”
“So what should we do ?” Vakarian asked looking toward the rest as if they had an answer, each of the councilors were deep in thought trying to figure out what should be done. After what felt like hours the first to speak was the Salarian councilor looking toward Sentinel she asked “Where is the system located ?” nodding his head the reaper tapped his Omni-tool and pulled up the galaxy map, watching the red circle blink at the furthest edge of the Terminus Systems, said system was basically tittering on the edge of the Milky Way. Ready to be engulfed by dark space leaning forward the dalatrass pointed at the system while saying “We need to send scout’s to that solar system to try and gather intel after which-“
“That would be in advisable councilor Xulla.” Sentinel spoke looking at the salarian the machine continued “During the video I have been complying the data, mainly based on the notion that these individuals did not stay in their home system.”
“So what does that have to do with scouting !”
“Because my brethren have found proof these individuals have been raiding abandoned colonies stripping them and leaving nothing behind.”
“But Sentinel wouldn’t we notice an influx of those materials being sold ?” Liara asked as she remembered some agents reporting the same thing to her but didn’t pay any mind to them after all trillions had perished during the war and many........took advantage by looting ‘abandoned’ colonies. Leaning forward Liara rested her head against her folded hands while listening to Sentinel’s explanation “No so far we have found nothing no forged documents, no materials suddenly appearing in companies holdings, and no new colonies sprouting up near the old sites.”
“So the question is what’s happening to the material they collect ?” Atheyta asked looking to her daughter giving her a knowing look that the others missed, Luna looked over the map once again she sighed while thinking ‘I pray they come in peace’ before turning to the rest she said “I say we launch a probe with a message of peace and see if they answer, while keeping an eye out for any anomalies that may come from that system.”
“Should we warn the colonies about them ?” Councilor Vakarian asked looking over at the Alicorn nodding her head Luna said “Definitely warn them, tell the colonist to show no hostility unless fired upon if this civilization shows up but not to make first contact with this solar system, at the moment I think we need to give these equestrians room and let them come to us.”
“Agreed.” The other three councilors said in unison so the four councilor’s, Asari information broker and reaper began to discuss what would need to be done. But as they discussed the future plans fate had already laid her plans and set them in motion long before their own meeting.

Running back toward the governor a twenty-three year old man with dark brown hair slid down beside his mother, Applejack heaved up her modified Viper sniper and fired three shots driving the pirates back behind their cover. Looking to her son Applejack was about to say something when they returned fire, growling she popped up and shot the aggressor before ducking back down while saying “Sour Cider did you get the comms tah work !”
“No ma they’ve got tah have a jammer out there.”
“Dammit, we’re runnin low on ammo, just keep tryin hopefully someone is close enough to intercept the signal.”
“Ah told Pixel Bug tah take over, figured I’d try helping with the defense.” Sour said while he picked up a pistol and fired at the pirates, just like many in the galaxy Sour was unceremoniously drafted into the reaper war so he was familiar with weapons and fighting. Snorting in disgust he couldn’t understand why equestrians like them still existed the war was over the galaxy at peace but still slavers, gangsters, and pirates harassed innocent equestrians in the galaxy.
Peeking around his cover Sour counted more than a dozen but quickly ducked back down as some took pot shots. Checking the pistol it had a full magazine and three other heat sinks for reloading, sighing he waited for the shoot to stop before popping around the corner to fire back.
The fight wasn’t going to be easy for them the pirates most likely had far more than the ones out front, he and his family managed to survive the reaper war sit he had no intention of dying here.
(2 miles from the fighting)
Standing over a dead varren a group of five soldier’s were waiting for orders each wearing a helmet with a T slit. Holding a hand to the side of his helmet clad in red armor he nodded his head, turning to the other four he said “Ok vod’ika the General got the all clear from Mandalore Shysa we’re clear to support.”
“So is it just us or do we have support ?” One asked a cheerful tone in his voice as he looked at the fighting in the distance through his binoculars when the first spoke again “No Fi we aren’t, Delta is set to come in and the General is on her way in the Dawn.”
“Really an Acclamator ?” Another of the soldiers asked looking toward the sky giving no inclination to hearing the only answer he got was “Let’s go that colony won’t last much longer, Dar and Atin you’ll join me upfront.” Pointing to them the former wearing pitch black armor while the latter wore a dark blue, Looking to the other two he added “Niner, I want you and Fi to be sniper support, Delta will be joining us in five minutes coming in from the east so try and not to shoot in that direction.”
“If you say so Ord’ika, so do you know why Shysa had a change of heart all of sudden ?” Niner asked as he wiped some blood of his dark grey armor before pulling out the sniper attachments for his DC-17, looking behind him he saw that Fi had done the same clicking his teeth Ordo said “No idea but if the general said she got the go ahead I believe her.”
“Understood.” Niner answered back catching what the ex ARC was getting at, checking their weapons charges the five of them quickly set off toward the firefight.

Letting out yelp of pain Applejack fell back clutching her shoulder, rushing over to her Sour began to apply pressure to the wound. Growling in pain her mind began to flash with what may happen after all the-
BDAP
Hearing screams of confusion the sound continued daring to look beyond her cover Applejack watched as the pirates were placed under fire. Bright gold light came from the sky looking up she noticed three lights coming toward her, equestrians using jet packs from what she could see but they were clad in armor. Landing in front of the gate they continued to fire upon the pirates before taking off again each going in a different direction, taking notice of a Pirate making a run for the gate she watched as a gold light blasted through his head.
The fight before her didn’t last to much longer as four more of those soldiers arrived flanking the pirates. Quickly the numbers that had been overwhelming the colony were reduced to nothing, watching as one of the soldiers clad in red armor turn it look up the wall and yelled “May we speak with the person in charge.”
Without moving from behind cover Applejack activates her Omni-tool and tested the mic system, seeing that was operational she talked “This is Governor Applejack speaking and who might you be ?”
“I’m Captain Ordo Skirata, we’ve taken care of all his tiles.”
“Really now boy ah wasn’t born yesterday those pirates have a ship in orbit so unless you’ve got a plan fer that so ah suggest you start getting ready fer a fight !” Applejack said back as she pointed to two of her men giving a signal for them to check ammo supply, but was soon interrupted by the stranger “Governor Applejack I think you should look up.”
Confusion coming to her face she looked up to see fire falling from the sky, realizing that fire must be the pirates. Pushing herself up she ignored her men looking down at the soldiers she noticed seven of them, taking a breathe to steady herself she talked into the omni-tool her voice ringing across the empty space “What is it ya’ll want ?”
“The general simply wishes to speak with you.”
“Fine but only this ‘general’ and one other can come into this compound.”
“Understood, she’ll be landing in a few seconds.”
“What do-“ Applejack was about to ask when a sudden throbbing sound was heard in the air. Looking up she saw a strange ship flying overhead, the design was like nothing she’d ever seen her thoughts were cut short when Ordo spoke again “LAAT/I ship the favored transport of the Mandalorian military.”
Circling around the ship began to set down the closer it got to the ground the more dust it kicked up, once the ship had stopped its side split open revealing more armored figures. But only one jumped out turning the figure seemed to be giving orders to the other’s who quickly exited the craft and moved about the battlefield weapons drawn, looking the figure over they wore khaki colored armor swinging around her legs seemed to be some sort of skirt that parted at the front.
(Inside the front gates)
Waiting for the two figures to make their way in Applejack and three others stood waiting, as they walked up Applejack she noted the size difference between the two the one clad in red armor stood a head and a half taller than the khaki armored figure. Once they were a couple feet away Applejack held up a hand while saying “Stop right there you two before we continue ah want to know the generals name and Ah want the two of you to remove the helmets.”
“We understand the discomfort our looks may cause you so we’ll comply.” The khaki armored one said while she removed the helmet revealing herself, looking the woman over she had to be in her mid thirties her light brown hair was tightly braided, her face was lightly tanned and had scarring on her right cheek. Next to remove their helmet was the man looking him over his hair was cut short like a marines, his face looked worn like he’d been in many battles almost all his life stepping forward the woman offered her hand while saying “It’s nice to meet you Governor Applejack I’m General Etain Skirata, I come in peace.”
