COME - The mirror
Sunset Shimmer is writing in her journal that is the only communication with the pony princess that has saved her. She looks at her friends who were taking a picture with the sunset behind them. She smiled and continues to write in her book. The mane 7 really came so far. They were the heroes of Canterlot High. They went from ordinary school girls from becoming magical heroes in the city.
Dear Princess Twilight.
I'm sorry for not writing for a while. Life here in the human world is really crazy. I have a one heck of a ride here. I started off being the baddest girl in CHS to be a friend to everyone. If it weren't for you, I would still be ruling CHS and I wouldn't meet such wonderful people. Me and the girls are on the beach right now. It's a little sad that you aren't coming with us. Well I understand, you're a princess after all. I'll write to you soon and I hope you have fun ruling Equestria.

"Why is this picture taking so long?!"
"Rainbow Dash! Ah knew you would put it on video!"
"No I didn't!!.... Okay I did".
"You sure don't want to be in the picture, Sunset? There's room for one more!"
"I'm okay! Besides, there's already a sunset behind you". Sunset replied with a small smile on her face. She could hear footsteps coming towards her direction so she looks up to see Twilight. Her best friend grabs her journal and Sunset didn't even protest.
"Please, Sunset. Just one photo?" Sunset's eyes winded when Twilight had used her secret weapon... the puppy face eyes.
"No! I will not give in to that cuteness of yours, Twilight!" This only made Twilight kneel down and stare at Sunset with the puppy face eyes.
"Sparkle, I'm warning you!!" Sunset Shimmer was ready to explode from the moment when Twilight was getting close to her face.
"Don't you dare!!" Sunset growled for a moment before crossing her arms and looking away.
"Just one photo and that's it, okay?"
"YAY!" Twilight grabs Sunset's hand and starts dragging her to the shore so that they could have a group photo. Sunset Shimmer was put in the middle and all of them posed for the camera.
Sunset Shimmer sighed and wraps her arm around Twilight as she poses for the camera. Twilight Sparkle blushed and the camera had taken the picture. Pinkie Pie clicks the picture that they had taken and laughs really cute when she saw Twilight's blushing face when Sunset had her arm around the nerd.
Sunset Shimmer looks at her side to admire the view of the beach. Then, she saw a hint of blue from afar and she looked at her friends one more time before walking to the direction of the color that she had seen.
"Hey, Sunset! Let's take a photo of you and Twilight!" Pinkie shouted.
"Pinkie! Sunset might not like that!"
"Don't be ridiculous, Twilight. Sunset Shimmer will totally be okay with it, right Sunny?"
There was no response. The girls turned around to see Sunset was four feet away from them. She had run off and the others didn't even hear her footsteps due from the sand.
"I guess she decided to have some time alone with herself". Fluttershy said as she goes to her spot.
"She did say only one photo, darling". Rarity said while she sits beside Applejack.
"You really need to make a move, Twilight". Twilight blushes at Rainbow's comment and looks away.
"I-I'm not sure if she's even straight! I don't think she said anything about that topic". Twilight said.
"Trust me, Twilight when ah say that Sunset is bi". Applejack responded. Twilight Sparkle sighed and looks at the direction where Sunset had taken her alone time walk. She sighs and decides to follow her best friend.
"Um, Twilight? Are you following Sunset?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Twilight, you can't do that! Sunset needs some alone time!" Fluttershy got up and started running towards Twilight to stop her, the girls followed her as well, hoping that they could stop their friend. Fluttershy grabbed Twilight's arm and her friend faced her.
"I just want to see if Sunset is safe". Twilight said.
"She's a tough girl, Twilight. She just needed some time alone". Applejack said and Twilight sighed before going back to her spot.
"Alright then. It's strange that she just ran off without telling us". Twilight said.
"Maybe it was something important?" Rarity said with an unsure tone in her voice.
"Well... if you say so..."
Sunset Shimmer was halfway to her destination. She can see the blue that was shining on her eyes, she starts to run so that she could pick it up. She stopped and saw the shining blue color was covered with sand a little. She wipes it off and lifts it up to see it was cracked. Sunset inspects it and saw that it looked like an ancient mirror. She took a good look at the gem and it really looks familiar to her.
"It's a Lapis Lazuli gem! I've seen this in my science book but looking at it in person, it really looks beautiful and precious! Who would throw such a beautiful gem like you? I better keep you safe before anyone breaks you". Sunset said as she walks back to her friends. She grips the mirror a little tight so it wouldn't slip away.
Sunset Shimmer had arrived where the girls were and saw that they started to pack their things. She walks over to her bag and puts her journal inside.
"Whatcha got there, Sunset?" Pinkie asked as she pointed at the mirror.
"Well it looks like an ancient mirror with a crack Lapis Lazuli gem on the back. I want to examine it to see if it still can be fixed by a professional". Sunset said as she showed the girls the mirror she had picked up on the shore. Twilight suspiciously looks at the mirror and has this bad feeling that something.
"Is there something wrong, Twi?" Sunset asked as she starts walking with the others.
"I-It's nothing, Sunset. Don't worry". Twilight gave Sunset a small smile which made Sunset smile back.
"I just hope that the gem is still fixable. This is one of the rare gems in the whole world. Well, to my perspective". Sunset said. She gets in her bike and starts the engine after putting the mirror in her bag.
"You want to ride home with me?"
"It's okay. I told Shining that he could pick me up". Twilight said. She watched her crush take off.
Why do I have a bad feeling about this mirror? Maybe we can examine it on our study date! Wait, date? Well, Sunset did say that she wanted to have a study date with me... does that count as a first date? AAAAAHHH!!!
Sunset opened her apartment door and locked it when she entered inside. She immediately lays down on her bed and takes the mirror inside the bag to examine it. She takes a good look at the reflection of the mirror and smiles at it.
"I just hope you can still be fixed. I'll take care of you, I promise". Her eyes winded when the mirror reflection started to move.
Then, the mirror showed Sunset smiling and had repeated what she just said to the mirror. She sat up in awe while looking at the mirror in shock. She looks the gem to check if it's fixed by its own, but it was still cracked. She looks at the reflection again.
"Y-Y-You can do magic?" The mirror moved again and shows the expression Sunset did a second ago. This amazes the former student of Princess Celestia.
Sunset Shimmer beamed in happiness and curiosity that the ancient mirror can do magic. She goes to her study table and stares at the mirror for a while.
"I didn't know a gem like you can do this. I don't think you have magic though, I don't feel Equestrian magic coming from you. Maybe you're an ancient artifact that is misplaced? I need to go to the Canterlot Library tomorrow... Yeah! I just have to cancel my study date with Twilight. i just hope she understands." Sunset laughed and the mirror copied her expression.
"You're really cool, mirror. I promise that I will find a way to fix you". Sunset said as she lays down in bed with the mirror beside her.
"Goodnight!" Sunset soon started to sleep with the same clothes she had worn in the beach but she was really tired and lazy to change right now.

Research
Sunset Shimmer woke up from the sunlight that was shining through her window. She sat up and stretches her arms to feel refresh. She looks at her side and smiled when she saw the mirror she had found yesterday at the beach. She picks it up and touches the back where the gem was placed.
"Good morning, mirror". The mirror's reflection moved and had showed Sunset smiling from yesterday as a way to communicate with the former Equestrian.
"You seem really happy to see me. Well to be honest, I am actually happy that I have someone to talk to". She watched as the mirror started to move again.
"...Yeah!" Sunset chuckled cutely and puts the mirror back down on her bed so that she could start the day.
"We're going to the library today so that I can learn more about you! I can't wait to see if you can still be fixed because a precious gem like you is irreplaceable... Well, to my perspective at least. Plus, I'm curious if there's a history of you, copying people expression as a form of communication". She fixes her bed and looks at the lapis lazuli mirror.
"Be right back, mirror. I won't take too long!"
"...Yeah!"
Sunset Shimmer smiled and caresses the mirror before starting her morning routine. After doing her morning routine, she opens her closet so that she could dress up. As she was putting her boots, she heard her phone ringing. She didn't feel like answering it because she was excited to study the mirror but the call might be important. She picks it up to see that Twilight was the one calling her.
"Sorry, Twilight. Study date will have to wait". With that, Sunset declines the call.
She puts her phone on her pocket and puts the mirror on her bag before walking towards the front door. When she opened the door, she yelps in surprise to see her best friend, Twilight Sparkle, standing in front of her with an angry expression on her face.
"You declined my call on purpose, didn't you?" Twilight angrily asked which made Sunset nervous.
"De-Decline?! Your call? No, Ne-Ne-Never! I just forgot... um.... that I put my phone in silent so I can sleep, that's all!" Sunset nervously laughed and suddenly heard her ringtone on her pocket and it was vibrating. She slowly pulls out her phone to see that Twilight had called her.
Sunset looks at her best friend and laughs nervously while putting her phone back to her pocket.
"Oops?" Twilight sighed angrily and rubs her forehead to keep her calm.
"Let me guess? You're too distracted to answer my call because of the mirror you found yesterday". Sunset nods her head in guilt.
"Well, at least we're going to have a study date in my house. It will keep your mind off that thing".
"Ab-About that.... The study date will have to move to tomorrow". Sunset nervously said which made Twilight shock.
"Wh-What?!"
"I need to study the mirror. The library might have some information about it or maybe a way to fix the lapis gem". Sunset said, tightly gripping her bag strap.
"How about I come with you? We'll research together". Twilight said which made Sunset thinking.
"Well I guess it doesn't hurt to have an extra hand... Okay then".
Sunset Shimmer locked her door before going to her bike with her friend. Twilight sat behind Sunset, who was starting the engine of the bike. Once it had started, she puts her hands on Sunset's shoulder with a blush in her face. Sunset Shimmer tested the bike before taking off. Twilight Sparkle was really upset when her best friend suddenly wanted to move their study date, just for that darn mirror.
That mirror is making her really crazy! She's been caring about it more than our study date... It's a good thing that I suggested that we both will-
I just care about fixing the mirror, Twilight! I want it to be fixed because the mirror deserves it! Plus, I can hear your thoughts.
AAAAAHHH!!
"There's got to be a book about gems. I will be freaking peeve if they don't have one here, this is a library!"
Sunset Shimmer was slowly walking while finding the book she needed in order to understand the mirror. Twilight was helping as well but she was in another section. Sunset double checks the section she was in before sighing in annoyance because she couldn't find the book she was looking for. She sits down on the floor and pulls out the mirror from her bag.
"This is harder than I expected... My research will take a little longer, mirror... I hope you still enjoying my company, even if Twilight and I are busy looking for information about you". The mirror started to move and showed a smiling Sunset Shimmer which made the former unicorn giggle quietly.
"You're really funny for a mirror". Sunset said which made the mirror copy her.
"You're really funny for a mirror".
Twilight Sparkle stared at awe at Sunset and the mirror, they seem like both of them were talking to each other. She wasn't expecting the mirror would be Equestrian magic. Sunset Shimmer saw Twilight from the mirror and she quickly hides it on her bag. She stood up and looks into Twilight's eyes which made the nerd blush.
"This is why I wanted to move our study date.... I don't want you getting involved with my situation". Sunset said with a worried tone which made Twilight a little mad.
"We're best friends, Sunset. Don't you still trust me?!" Twilight yelled and was glad that their the only ones in this section.
"I do! It's just that... I don't want you getting near with something you don't understand. I'm just looking out for you, Twilight". Sunset said as she continues to search for the book about gems.
"I'm a teenager, Sunset! I'm not a kid anymore!"
"I'm 27, Twilight. Technically, you're a kid to me. The portal just gave me a body of a teenager that goes to high school for some reason. Please, just help me so that we can get over it". Twilight sighed and continues to search.
That mirror is slowly changing her!
"I can still hear your thoughts, Twilight. I'm still the same Sunset you know".
Twilight Sparkle sighed in annoyance about forgetting that her best friend was a mind reader. She jolted in surprise when heard Sunset screaming in joy. She looks to see Sunset, holding the book that she was looking for.
“Found it! C’mon, Twilight!”
Twilight Sparkle followed her best friend to the nearest table. Sunset Shimmer sits down on the chair and opens the book and to look for the page about Lapis Lazulis.
“It’s in page 134”. Twilight said and Sunset immediately searches flips all the pages to look for the topic.
“Found it!” Sunset Shimmer beamed in happiness when she saw the page about the gem that was in the mirror.
"Lapis Lazuli is one of the most sought after stones in use since man's history began. Its deep, celestial blue remains the symbol of royalty and honor, gods and power, spirit and vision. It is a universal symbol of wisdom and truth." Sunset flips the page so that she could see if there is more information
"In ancient times Lapis Lazuli was most highly regarded because of its beautiful color and the valuable ultramarine dye derived from it. Its name comes from the Latin lapis, "stone," and the Persian lazhuward, "blue." It is rock formed by multiple minerals, mostly Lazurite, Sodalite, Calcite and Pyrite, and is a rich medium to royal blue with gold flecks (pyrites). Lower-grade Lapis is lighter blue with more white than gold flecks, and is sometimes called denim Lapis.
Lapis Lazuli was among the most highly prized tribute paid to Egypt, obtained from the oldest mines in the world, worked from around 4000 B.C. and still in use today. Referenced in the Old Testament as sapphire (unknown in that part of the ancient world), Lapis Lazuli is most likely the fifth stone in the original breastplate of the High Priest, as well as those of later times.
The golden sarcophagus of King Tutankhamen was richly inlaid with Lapis, as were other burial ornaments of Egyptian kings and queens. It was used extensively in scarabs, pendants and other jewelry, and ground into powder for dyes, eye shadow and medicinal elixirs. In the dry, barren land of the Egyptians, this deep cobalt blue color was a spiritual contrast to their arid desert hues. The gold flecks were like stars in their night-time sky and by meditating on these colors they felt supernatural forces would transform their lives. The garments of priests and royalty were dyed with Lapis to indicate their status as gods themselves".
As Sunset was reading the information out loud, Twilight couldn't help but look at the broken lapis lazuli gem behind the mirror. She could tell that even a professional couldn't fix it. She sighs and puts her hand on her best friend's shoulder which made Sunset look at her.
"Is something wrong?" Sunset asked.
“Sunset… Judging about the crack on the gem… I don’t think it can be fixed by a professional”. Twilight sadly said but Sunset’s determination didn’t fade.
“I just have to keep trying. I won’t get to see another gem as beautiful as the one I have today. I’ll do everything to fix this, even if I have to sacrifice my sleep or my activities for it”. Sunset stood up and puts the book to where it belongs.
“I need to go”.
“Sunset, we’re going to meet up with the girls outside”.
“You can go without me”. Sunset said as she grabs Twilight’s wrist before leaving the library. Twilight had enough of her best friend caring about the mirror more than her friends.
“This obsession of fixing this mirror is making you crazy!” Sunset removes her grip and glares at her best friend, which made Twilight scared to death.
“I’m not going crazy, Twilight. Now, be a good girl and stay out of my business”. With that, Sunset goes to her bike and starts it before leaving Twilight alone.
Twilight Sparkle had never felt so scared from her best friend, except the time when she had competed her at the Friendship Games. She heard a familiar voice shouting her name and she turns around to see her friends, walking towards her direction.
“Is there something wrong, Twi?” Applejack asked.
“It’s the mirror”.
“The mirror that Sunset found yesterday? She left you because she wanted to fix the gem in the nearest shop here in Canterlot City and she got angry at you for calling her crazy?” This made Twilight look at her in shock but soon calms down because she got use to this.
“I’m not even gonna ask”. Twilight said and felt really guilty for what she had said to Sunset.
"I'm sure Sunset will stop being obsess with that mirror sooner or later". Rainbow said.
Author's Note
Not Giving Up
"What do you mean you can't fix it?!"
"Ma'am, just calm down. A gem like this can't be replaced or repaired. We haven't seen a Lapis Lazuli in a millennia and judging by the appearance of this gem, it isn't replaceable and can't be fixed".
"I don't want to replace this gem! I just want it to be fixed!"
"Ma'am, please calm down".
"I AM CALM!"
"Stop shouting or I'm calling the cops on you, kid!"
"I'm 27, sir!!"
"That's what they all say!!"
"What do you me-"
"I said, OUT!!!"
This was the third store that Sunset Shimmer was kicked off. Sunset sighs heavily as she walks towards her bike. She sits down and looks at the crack lapis gem.
"I'm still not giving up on you, mirror. I got to keep trying".
Store after store, Sunset was continuously getting kicked out because of her aggressive behavior of wanting the gem to be fixed. This only made Sunset's determination stronger than before. She goes to the Canterlot Mall to look for some jewelry stores. Every jewelry store she entered, she would get kicked out in about fifteen seconds. This raises her determination into a higher level.
"Sunset?"
Sunset Shimmer turns around in annoyance to see her friends behind her, they look really worried about something. Rarity took a step forehead and both of them are seeing eye to eye.
"Darling, we need to talk".
"Look, I'm really busy, Rarity. Maybe another time?"
"This will only take a minute or two, Sunset. Please, we're worried about this obsession with yours". Rarity calmly said that made Sunset really annoyed that her friends think she was crazy.
"What obsession you're talking about? I'm fine! I just need some time to fix this gem!" Sunset angrily said it made Fluttershy and Twilight scared.
"That's enough, Sunset! You're scaring Fluttershy and Twilight!" Applejack shouted.
Some of the people watched the heavy tension that was happening between Sunset and Applejack. Pinkie Pie quickly got in between them before they could even tear each other in anger.
"Girls, let's just talk about th-"
"Step aside, Pinkie. I need to talk some sense into this little pony!"
"Just stay out of my business. Let me fix my problem in peace!" Sunset yelled and backed away when Applejack and Rainbow Dash were taking a few steps forward.
"This isn't healthy, Sunset. Just hand us the mirror, we'll find it's rightful owner". Applejack said as she reaches out her hand to the mirror.
"Sorry it had to be this way, Sunset". Rainbow said as she reaches out her hand as well.
"No, Ne-Ne-Never!" Everyone in the mall gasped when the mirror had copied Sunset's expression from their earlier conversations. Sunset Shimmer began to panic when Applejack and Dash's hand were almost going to touch the mirror. She could hear the mirror screaming because it didn't want to be taken away from her.
"It wants to be with me!!" Sunset Shimmer slaps Applejack and Rainbow watched as her best friend's hat was slowly reaching the ground.
Sunset Shimmer gasped in horror and looked at her right hand because of what she has done. Applejack slowly looks at her best friend with her emerald eyes. Sunset suddenly felt scared when she had met her best friend's gaze, it almost resembled a wolf. She puts the mirror back to her bag and runs away quickly to the exit of the mall.
"AAAAHHHH!!! I'm sorry!!!"
The girls watched as Applejack was picking her hat up and put it back on her head. She was still watching as Sunset was running away from them.
"That little pony... is in big trouble now". Applejack coldly said as she runs towards the direction of Sunset.
"Applejack wait! Maybe she didn't mean it!" Pinkie shouted as she followed Applejack. The others did the same.
"I really need to control my temper". Sunset said to herself before drinking her apple juice.
She was in the beach, watching the ocean waves touch her feet. She was still holding the mirror on her left hand so that the mirror would know that it still has company. After drinking her juice, she sighs heavily and raises the mirror to reflect her face to it.
"I just don't get it. Who would break such a beautiful gem like you? I guess humans don't appreciate precious rocks like yourself. Well, some of them. I'm not going crazy, am I?" Sunset asked and watched the mirror do its thing to communicate.
"No, Ne-Ne-Never!" Sunset smiled and caresses the mirror like it was a person.
"I'm glad that you don't think I am". Sunset lays down on the sand so that she could stare at the clouds, moving.
"Why can't they just understand what I'm trying to do with you? You're the most precious gem that I have seen, even if I haven't seen other gems before with my very own eyes. If only you can tell me what I can do to help you".
"Sunset Shimmer!!!!"
"We know you here! We just want to help you!"
Sunset Shimmer stood up in horror when she heard Twilight and Rarity's voice from afar. She looks at the mirror one last time before running as fast as she can to find somewhere safe where her friends would never find her.
"Can't you just use your geode, Dash?!" Applejack asked.
"I left it in my room! I thought we didn't need it!"
"Of all the days you can leave it behind, It had to be today?!" Fluttershy angrily complained which made all of them look at their shy friend.
Sunset quickly hides behind the rock and hugs the mirror tightly while she catches her breath. She sits down on the beach sand and looks at the mirror.
"Please, mirror... Please tell me how I can help you!"
"Let me... out!!!"
"Let... you out?" Sunset asked in confusion.
She turns the mirror to look at the gem for a second and it took her a while to get what the mirror meant to say. She quickly grabs the gem and tries to pull it out of the mirror but it was too tight.
"Come on.... wow, did someone put super glue on this?"
Sunset Shimmer didn't even notice that the water was slowly going towards her feet. It formed like the lines in the ancient mirror while the former unicorn was trying to get the gem off the mirror. The girls stopped and were too afraid to take a step in their friend's direction because of the strange water lines that were attached to Sunset's bare feet.
"Just... a little... more..."
Sunset Shimmer finally got the lapis lazuli gem off the mirror and the glass broke. The gem started to glow and Sunset released her grip. It floated in front of her and all she could see around her was the color blue. The rainbooms covered their eyes as the gem was shining brighter than the sun.
Sunset Shimmer stared in awe as she could see a human figure coming out of the lazuli gem. After a good ten seconds, it was finally revealed a blue skinned girl with dark blue hair, a dark blue top that only goes up to her chest level to reveal its stomach. The skirt had reached to its legs and the gem had no shoes or sandals on her feet. She stopped floating and was about to reach the ground. Sunset quickly catches the girl and waits for the girl to regain her consciousness.
A girl? It came out of the mirror... Where's the gem though?
Sunset Shimmer accidentally touched the girl's back and she felt something hard and cracked in that area. It was the lapis lazuli gem from the mirror.
I don't know gems can have human bodies! The gem information on the books was fake?!
The blue-skinned girl looked at Sunset's eyes and the former unicorn didn't feel scared the moment they both had to gaze upon each other's eyes. The girl's eyes were like a mirror. Sunset thought it was normal for a gem to have that kind of eyes.
"Y-You save me... Th-Thank you so much!"
She's so.... beautiful
Sunset Shimmer held the girl close, who was still adjusting to her form. She could feel the blue-skinned girl buried her face on Sunset's shoulder and started to cry in joy. They broke off the hug and looked at each other's eyes. Even if the girl's eyes were like a mirror, Sunset still found the gem the most beautiful creature in the whole universe.
"You're Sunset, right?" Sunset slowly nods her head as she helped the girl stand up. She was really shocked that the girl was taller than her.
"I'm Lapis, Lapis Lazuli".
She's named after her kind... That's really interesting. Sweet Celestia, she's more gorgeous than Rarity!!
"You actually talked to me! I'm really happy that you're the one who freed me from that mirror!" Lapis happily said as she puts her hands on Sunset's shoulder. The former unicorn smiled and both of them didn't even realize that they were leaning their faces closer to each other.
"SUNSET!"
"She might be dangerous!"
"Get away from her!!"
Sunset Shimmer looks at her friends who were all ponied up except for Rainbow Dash. They were ready to attack Lapis. She quickly got in front of her gem and ponied up as well.
"Stay away from my Lazuli!"

Destined for each other?
Sunset Shimmer was glaring at her friends who were slowly walking towards her direction. She growled and knew that she had to protect Lapis Lazuli. Twilight Sparkle has never seen this side of Sunset since the Friendship Games. That gem really changed her best friend.
"Sunset, stop what you're doing! That girl is making you change!" Twilight yelled which offended Lapis Lazuli and only made things worse when Sunset was ready to pounce on Twilight.
"You have no right to say those things to my precious Lazuli!"
"Your Lazuli?!"
"Yeah! My Lazuli!"
"Sunset, you just met that girl in the mirror yesterday and now you're claiming that girl like she was your partner!!!"
"I was the one taking care of it and making sure she deserves to be treated like a princess!"
"Are you even listening to yourself?!"
The girls were at the side eating popcorn as if they were watching a telenovela. Lapis Lazuli joins the girls but she is focusing on Sunset, who looks really cute when she's mad. To the gem's eyes, Sunset is like an angry horse defending her mate. Lapis didn't like the idea of her Sunset fighting her own friends.
"Why are they fighting? Aren't they supposed to be friends?" Lapis asked Fluttershy who was watching the bickering fight between a former horse and a nerd.
"Friends do fight sometimes but this.... it scares me". Fluttershy said with a scared tone and Dash wraps her arm around her childhood friend for her to be feel safe.
"Give them a few minutes. I'm sure they will both get over it".
Pinkie Pie pulls out some popcorn out of her hair and starts to eat while watching the drama between her best friends. The others were lucky that they had some snacks with them. Lapis Lazuli continue to watch as Sunset was ready to attack at any moment but she was good at controlling her anger towards Twilight.
"ENOUGH OF THIS NONSENSE!!" Twilight finally had enough of her best friend. She uses her magic to levitate Sunset and crashes her into a rock.
Lapis Lazuli immediately got angry and looked at the ocean. She lifted her hand up and she was squeezing her eyes shut, like she was trying to lift some of the ocean water. It took ten seconds for Lapis to give up because she remembered that her gem was cracked and that means that she couldn't control her powers. Sunset Shimmer weakly stood up and glared at Twilight Sparkle with furious eyes. Twilight quickly regrets attacking her crush and shakes in fear when she meets Sunset's gaze.
"I-I'm so sorry! I didn't know what I was doing!" Lapis could tell that Twilight was getting scared as Sunset was running towards her direction. Storm clouds started to form as Sunset was running towards her best friend.
"YOU BETTER BE SORRY, TWILIGHT SPARKLE!!"
The girl's gasp when lightning had struck Sunset but it didn't affect her, it only gained her power. Sunset formed lightning around her left hand and Twilight couldn't move due from fear. When she saw Sunset's fist was about to hit her face, she quickly dodged it and continued to do so as Sunset was about to hit her.
"We have to stop her, Applejack!" Dash shouted.
"Ah'm on it!"
Applejack gets in front of Sunset and grabs her right arm and swings her to the ground. Sunset stood up again and ran towards Twilight's direction but only to be stopped by her friends.
"Sunset, stop!" Pinkie yelled as she was holding Sunset's torso but it was really hard because the former equestrian unicorn was strong.
"This isn't like you!" Fluttershy shouted while helping Pinkie.
"Deep breathes, darling!"
Sunset Shimmer grew angrier and the girls quickly left her side as lightning struck down her body. Rain started to pour down on them and they all got in front of Twilight to protect her. Sunset had lightning around her body and was ready to charge at any moment. The girls shield Twilight from the moment that Sunset was about to attack her.
"That's enough, Sunset!"
Lapis Lazuli got in between them so that she could stop the fight. Sunset gasps and falls on the ground face first. The storm clouds started to clear out of the way. The girls slowly opened their eyes and saw that Sunset was on the ground. Lapis picks up Sunset like she was lightweight, which surprises the girls because Lapis was skinny. Sunset Shimmer's face was covered in sand and she looked tired.
Lapis sat down and put Sunset on her lap so that she could clean her friend's face. The girls circled them hoping that their best friend was alright. Sunset opened her eyes and put her head on Lapis's shoulder.
"Wh-What happened?" Sunset weakly asked.
"You were about to hit us with lightning! I'm surprised that you still live after that lightning has struck down your entire body!" Rainbow Dash said. It made Sunset confuse.
"Lightning? What are you talking about?" This only confused the girls and looked at each other before looking back at the former unicorn.
"Ya don't remember?" Applejack asked.
"All I remember is being pushed on the rock by Twilight's magic and blacked out... Did I do something bad?" Sunset asked in a scared tone.
"Of course not!" Twilight nervously lied which made Applejack slap her own forehead and the others gave Sunset a thumbs up with nervous smiles on their faces.
Sunset sighs in relief and looks at her friends with a sweet smile on her face which made Lapis and Twilight blush.
"I'm glad that I didn't". Sunset yawned pretty loud and snuggled close to the gem. Lapis felt awkward when Sunset began to use the gem's shoulder as a pillow.
"I guess the magic she had a while had worn her out, we should get her home". Dash said as she looks at the others.
"Let's take her home". Applejack was about to grab Sunset but Lapis glared at them as she wraps her arms around Sunset protectively.
"Um... Ms. Lazuli?" Lapis looks away and pats Sunset's head as she ignores the girls.
"Oh boy..." Applejack sighed and signaled the girls for a huddle. The girls left Lapis and Sunset alone so that they could talk about what will they do to the two of them.
"What are we going to do now? That Lapis chick got protective about us being near Sunset all of a sudden ". Dash said that all of them looked at Lapis and Sunset, who were cuddling each other for warmth.
"Aw, they look so cute together". Rarity and Fluttershy said in union while Twilight was clearly jealous.
"Two girls from two different worlds, destined for each other. This makes a great drama story don't you think, love?" Rarity asked.
"Ah gotta admit, they seem perfect for each other". Applejack said with a smile on her face.
"It's like their meant for each other". Fluttershy cooed.
"Lapis seems harmless. We should trust her with Sunset". Pinkie said.
"I don't think we should easily trust her, girls. I have a bad feeling about her being too close to Sunset". Twilight said in a jealous tone. The girls looked at each other and looked back at the jealous Twilight Sparkle, who was still looking at Lapis and Sunset.
"We know you have feelings for Sunset but right now we should accept that Sunset needs that lazuli gem. Let's be there for her". Applejack said that this made Twilight cross her arms, debating herself whether she would accept it or not.
"Come on, Twi. I hate to admit it but I'm siding with AJ on this one. We should be there for Sunset". Dash said as she puts her hand on Twilight's shoulder. Twilight sighed and still refuses to look at her friends.
"Fine, but I'm only doing this for Sunset". Twilight said. It made the girls happy. They did a group hug for a while, before going back to Lapis. The gem sensed the girls and glared at Twilight.
"Calm down, Ms. Lazuli. We mean no harm. We just want to take our friend back to her apartment". Applejack calmly said.
"Why should I trust you after what you all did to Sunset?" Lapis angrily asked.
"Look, Sunset wasn't in her right mind, we only did that to protect Twilight. Please, Sunset needs a proper place to rest". Dash said as she got Lapis thinking she should trust them.
"She needs rest, Ms. Lazuli". Fluttershy said as she kneels down to gaze onto Lazuli's mirror eyes. Lapis slowly nods her head and stands up, carrying Sunset like a bride.
"Okay, I trust you, except for that girl with a weird mirror attached to her eyes". Lapis said that the girls knew she was talking about Twilight. The nerd rolled her eyes and looked away.
"Let's just get this over with". Twilight said in annoyance.

Funny Feelings
Lapis Lazuli was watching Sunset Shimmer sleeping, even though she was only seeing Sunset's back. Gems didn't need sleep because they already got their energy inside their stone so that they could stay awake and feel energize. Lazuli poked the former unicorn's cheek carefully and was amazed that Sunset didn't even flinch. She tries again but was still amaze because it looks like Sunset didn't even feel a thing.
She looked really cute when she was sleeping on my shoulder this afternoon...
She heard a groan coming from Sunset who was starting to open her beautiful ocean eyes as she turns to her right side to face Lazuli's direction. They both look at each other before making Sunset scream and sit up as she panics which made her fall off her bed. This alerts Lapis and goes to the left side of the bed to see her former unicorn, groaning in pain.
"Sunny, are you okay?" Lapis sighs in relief when Sunset groaned in response. Sunset Shimmer slowly sits up and looks at Lapis in confusion with why the gem was here.
"Wh-What are you doing here?! I know that you've seen my apartment but I'm surprised that you memorize the road because I had your mirror on my bag the whole time!!" Sunset started to ramble in a panic tone which confused Lapis but quickly understood what was happening.
"You slept on my shoulder at the beach this afternoon. The girl with yellow hair insisted that she and the girls will offer a ride to your apartment. I don't trust your friends to be honest after what they did to you... I couldn't stand letting them near you but they seem important to you so I accepted the girl's offer. There's something about that girl with a weird shape visor that bugs me, it's like she hates me or something". Lapis explained which made Sunset slowly calm down.
"What do you mean what they did to me? Did something bad happen when I passed out"
"You don't remember having those powers back there?" Lapis asked which got Sunset even more confused.
"Powers? Lapis, I blacked out from the moment Twilight used her telekinesis to push me really hard towards a large rock that was randomly on our back." Sunset explained.
She really doesn't remember, huh? I guess she can figure it out herself
"I can read minds, Laz. I can literally hear your thoughts". Lapis stared at Sunset with a surprise face and immediately got fascinated.
"I can't believe humans can read minds!" Sunset nervously laughs and touches the gem's head.
"I'm not what you think I am... I'm a magical pony from another dimension". Sunset said that this made Lapis confused because right in front of her is a human being.
"Did you inhale something illegal? You're right in front of me, Sunset. Even if I have mirror eyes, I can tell you that you're human!" Lapis shouted and got silent because of Sunset's index finger was put on her lips.
"It's complicated, Lapis". The gem nods her head while Sunset had put her finger away and both of them began to look each other in the eyes that immediately got lost into their own world.
There's something about Sunset that made Lapis feel so different from her previous holders, she couldn't describe it. Sunset Shimmer looks at the time to see it was about two in the morning.
"It's still early, why aren't you sleeping?" Sunset asked.
"Our gems have our energy stored inside to keep us from getting tired, we don't eat food as well". Lapis explained.
"Fascinating". Sunset mumbles and taps her chin as she thinks about some questions for Lapis.
The gem softly smiled as she watches the former unicorn thinking deeply. Sunset then heard the gem giggling which made her look at the direction of Lazuli to see that she was watching her think. This made her blush in embarrassment and look away.
"So-Sorry. You are interesting and I was thinking about some questions, didn't mean to look really silly for a moment there". Sunset shyly said. It makes Lapis cup Sunset's cheeks with her hands and pulls the former unicorn's face close to her, making their noses touch.
"There's nothing silly about you, Sunset. Don't ever stop being yourself, okay?" Sunset smiled and answered her with a hum.
"How about you get some rest? I can tell you that you wanted to fall asleep anytime now". Lapis said as she picks Sunset up like she was a teddy bear and lays her down with her. This made the former unicorn blush and tried to keep her eyes straight at the ceiling as she felt Lapis was nuzzling her neck.
"I-I thought gems don't ne-need sleep?" Sunset nervously ask and Lapis giggles in response.
"Sleeping looks fun when you're the one doing it, Sunset. Plus, I just feel safe around you... Is that weird?" Lapis nervously smiled and was glad that she was nuzzling Sunset's neck.
"It's not weird at all. I'm happy that you feel safe..."
Sunset slowly started to fall asleep while she had put her arm around the gem's waist. Loud snores filled the entire apartment room and Lapis Lazuli wasn't annoyed, she was actually trying her best not to laugh.
I don't know how humans would find this activity so pleasing, but Sunset seems to need and enjoy it... Might as well see why

"I'm totally going to picture these two potential couple!"
"Wow. Sunset met this girl two days ago and was sleeping together in the same bed. I need to get in her level".
"This isn't a competition, Dashie".
"What the fresh bell air freak am I seeing right now?"
"Just stay calm, Twilight. We can't just tell em to undo what they're doin".
The rainbooms are looking at Sunset and Lapis cuddling each other while sleeping. It was now ten in the morning and the girls were not surprised because their best friend isn't a morning person. Twilight Sparkle was holding an air horn for emergencies which caused her friends to become confused because of it, except for Pinkie.
"Can I at least take a picture of them, Applejack?" Pinkie asked and smiled happily when AJ nodded her head in approval.
Sunset Shimmer groans in annoyance when she keeps hearing all of her friends' voices and slowly wakes up. She blushed really red like her hair when she noticed that Lapis was sleeping cutely on her chest. She ignored her friends and rubs Lazuli's head which earned a purr coming out of the gem.
ASDFGHJK SO CUTE!! MY ANGEL!! AAHHHHH!!!
"I think Lapis broke Sunset". Dash said while poking Sunset's head.
Twilight was about to press the air horn but luckily Applejack had taken it away from her best friend's grasp. Pinkie Pie continues to take pictures of Sunset and Lapis. Rarity was writing something from her notebook while Fluttershy was admiring the potential couple.
"Ah don't think Sunset wants to get out of the bed because of the gem. Let's just leave em". Applejack said and the girls, except Twilight, understood.
"Twilight, let's go". Applejack calmly said as she drags her best friend out of the apartment.

It's been a while and Lapis is still sleeping.... I kinda like where I am right now
Sunset Shimmer was lying on her bed with Lapis Lazuli on her chest because she was still sleeping. The former unicorn had already finished her morning routine a while ago and was surprised that the gem still hasn't woken up from her sleep. She was staring at the ceiling as hours passed by and her phone was charging.
"I wonder what the future will be when I didn't pick your mirror at the beach.... Would you still be in that mirror? Will another human pick you up and treat you differently? Will that person even try to fix you so because you deserve to live better than them?" Sunset said to herself as she felt that she was the only person in the room.
"I.... I can't think of a future without you, Lapis..." Sunset Shimmer whispered with a small smile on her face.
Lapis Lazuli started opening her mirror eyes and was surprised she was still on Sunset's chest. She raises her head to see that Sunset was wide awake, staring at the ceiling. It seems like she was dressed in her daytime clothes. Lapis was shocked that she had slept that long.
Sunset looks at Lapis with a surprise expression. Both of their noses touched and they were looking at each other, it felt like they had created their own universe whenever they looked at each other. Lapis shakes her head a little and so does Sunset to remove the weird thoughts inside their heads. Lapis stopped and gave her savior a cute smile which was really cute that it made Sunset, trying her best to control her emotions and not exploding in happiness.
"I never would have thought that sleeping would be so much fun! Now I know why humans love this activity, Sunset!" Sunset chuckles and rubs Lapis's head. The gem relaxed on the former unicorn's touch.
"Well, humans need sleep so that we can store our energy for tomorrow's activity. Well there's napping when you feel really tired from the activities you have done that are extreme and fun." Sunset said.
She felt that Lapis began to remove her head off her chest and sit down on the bed. Something is definitely wrong and Sunset could sense it. She sat up and looked at Lapis's cracked gem.
I forgot that her gem is cracked. If only there's a way to fix it....
"I know this will be a sore subject to you but... why is your gem cracked?" She could see that the gem started to tense up and slowly breathing heavily, like Lapis was having a panic attack from the question.
Sunset immediately regretted asking that question and quickly wraps her arms around the gem's waist. She turns Lapis around so they can both look into each other's eyes.
"Calm down, Lapis! Just take a deep breath!"
"I-I-I-I-I-can't!" Sunset starts rubbing the gem's shoulder, her eyes are still locked onto the gem's mirror eyes.
"Follow my lead". Lapis Lazuli observes Sunset Shimmer for a while before starting to follow Sunset's breathing rhythm. She puts her hands on the former unicorn's shoulder so that she would have something to support.
"Good girl, Lapis! You can stop when you feel like you can properly breathe again". Sunset smiled as Lapis was starting to calm down. As Lapis finally calmed down, she looked at Sunset with a cute smile on her face which made her savior blush a little.
"Thank you, Sunset. I'm glad that you helped me".
"It was nothing. I'm sorry for asking that question, I just want to know so that I could try to find a way to fix it". Sunset said with an upset tone in her voice.
"Sunset. I don't think there's a way to fix my gem... but I'm happy that you're trying your very best to take care of me. I'm really grateful for that. I'm not ready to tell you the story behind my gem.. not yet". Lapis said as she moves her right hand to Sunset's cheek and caresses it with her thumb.
"Please, be patient with me".
"Of course! It's just that... A beautiful gem like you deserves to be treated right". Sunset softly said. This made Lapis blush and stop caressing Sunset's cheek.
"Yo-You think I'm beautiful?" Lapis asked which made Sunset confuse to say what it was like the gem's first time hearing a compliment.
"Of course!" Lapis Lazuli slowly shakes her head and looks away, blushing a little.
"You're the first one to say that to me. I don't know how to describe what you just said though... I feel so happy that you said that sweet words to me." Lapis said as she puts her hands to her chest, where she feels something funny.
"Haven't you experienced getting complimented before?" Sunset asked.
"Com...plimen....ted?" Sunset chuckles because of how Lapis looked cute in her confused expression.
"A compliment is a polite expression of praise or admiration. Just like what I had said that you're beautiful". Sunset said that it got Lapis thinking.
"Interesting.... May I try doing that?"
"Of course!" Sunset happily said and waited because Lapis Lazuli was starting to think of how to compliment her savior. After a few minutes of waiting, Lazuli gave up and started to cry cutely. This struck an arrow on Sunset's heart. "I can't think of anything! I'm a horrible gem being!"
"Lapis, it's okay! Complimenting doesn't have a time limit. There's no rush. You can compliment everyone you care about here". Sunset cooed and this made Lapis smile.
"You're the only one I care about here, Sunset". The former unicorn took Lapis's hands and both of their fingers intertwined with each other.
"One day, Lapis. I know that I'm not going to be the only one you will care about. You can create your very fantasy here with someone you want to be with forever along with the people that care about you". Sunset softly said. It made the gem cry a little.
"Then I want you to be with me forever... along with the people I soon will care". The former unicorn blush is really red like her hair and looks away.
"Ah geez, you're making me blush, Lazuli. I didn't know other lapis lazulis are this flirty". Lapis giggled because of how cute and flustered her Sunset is.
"I am pretty much the popular lapis back then and I'm glad that I still have my charms but only for you".
Both of them shared a laugh and they hugged each other in happiness. The two of them fell off the bed and groaned in pain because of the impact of their heads, bumped as they fell. Sunset rubs her head and blushes when Lapis was sitting on her stomach as she was rubbing her head as well. The gem quickly gets off and lifts her savior up like she was light weight.
"Are you okay?" Lapis asked and Sunset shyly nods her head because she feels so light to the gem. The gem puts the former Equestrian to the ground and sits down at the bed.
"How come you can lift me up like I had no weight?!" Sunset asked for curiosity and surprised the gem because of the former unicorn's face close to hers.
"U-Um... well... We're different from humans. Although some of our my kind appear like this, our gems also store our power to have enormous strength when it comes to deadly situations". Lapis explained.
"But you always pick me up when I fall down or if I'm on the ground and there's no deadly situations involved? Are you sure you use it for that?"Sunset asked with a teasing smirk on her face with made Lapis blush dark blue.
"I - I am sure! I'm a gem, Sunny!" Sunset laughed and sat next to Lapis who was looking away with an cute angry pout on her face.
"I'm just messing with you, Laz". Sunset said as she ruffles the gem's hair and Lapis enjoys Sunset's touch and leans her head on the former unicorn's shoulder.
Sunset Shimmer smiled and leans her head to Lapis and both of them enjoyed each other's company. Sunset frowned when she felt her heart beating uncontrollably when she imagines being close to Lapis Lazuli. She never felt this way when she dated Flash Sentry back then. She puts her hand to where her heart is place inside and thinks about what the feeling is.
Why do I feel sparks? What is this feeling?! My friends do this to me but I only felt happiness but with Lapis.... NO! It can't be.... I CAN'T BE IN LOVE WITH HER!!

Perfect Strangers
Applejack has nothing to say at this moment. Here she is, watching Twilight glaring at Lapis, who was holding Sunset's hand and she was looking at Twilight in confusion with why she was so mad at her. The girls invited Sunset and Lapis for a hang out at Sugarcube Corner and people were looking at the gem in disgust and confusion to see why she looks like that. Sunset, of course, gave the strangers death glares and the people immediately regret being born. Sunset pulls Lapis close to her as she drinks her strawberry milkshake.
"I'm so glad you brought Lapis with you, Sunset. You two look absolutely divine," Rarity said and Sunset blushed a little.
"R-Really? I wanted to make Lapis feel comfortable with you guys so that she could see other humans than myself". Lapis shyly smiles and leans her head towards Sunset's shoulder which makes the girls, except Twilight and Rainbow Dash, fan girls in excitement.
"We should throw a slumber party tonight!" Pinkie shouted in happiness and everyone laughed because of how happy she was. Lapis smiled when Sunset was laughing with her friends.
"What do ya think, Lapis? Do ya wanna join us?" Applejack asked and everyone stared at her, this action made Lapis uncomfortable.
"Maybe some other time. I don't think Lapis is still comfortable with strangers other than myself, giving her time to adjust to this world will help me a lot". Sunset said while she rubs the gem's shoulder for comfort.
"We totally understand that". Fluttershy said while putting her hand on her lap.
"I'm going to order another milkshake. Do you want anything, Laz?" Lapis thought for a moment before shaking her head.
"I forgot that you don't eat or drink but I understand. I'll be right back". Sunset and Lapis pressed their foreheads together before the former unicorn left the table to order another drink.
Twilight took a seat next to Lapis and she was still glaring at the gem. The girls were nervous because of how Twilight was jealous because of Lapis being close to her crush. Lapis Lazuli sighed and crossed her arms to her chest because she was annoyed about Twilight.
"I'm busy now. Can I ignore you some other time?" Rainbow Dash laughed at how Lapis started getting savage and salty all of a sudden which made Applejack punch her side.
"What?! You're not even doing anything other than sitting your butt on the couch!" Twilight yelled and hope that Sunset didn't hear her.
"I was busy watching Sunset until you ruined it. I don't even know why are you being so mean and grumpy when I'm with Sunset". Dash didn't stop laughing at Lapis being salty, which made the people watch her dying from laughter.
"Are you insulting me?" Twilight angrily asked.
"No, I'm not insulting you, I'm describing you". Twilight and Lapis glared at each other angrily which adds a serious tension around the shop.
"Now girls, just calm down". Fluttershy nervously said that Pinkie wraps her arms around the shy girl because she was scared.
"I don't get what Sunset sees in you but I am not going to sit here and watch you being so fake around her". Twilight angrily said.
"I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce." Lapis smirked and sensed that Sunset was coming back. She quickly fixed her position and smiled when Sunset was getting close to their table. Twilight, on the other hand, went back to her seat and was nervous.
"Glad to see that you and Twilight are getting along pretty well". Sunset takes a seat next to Lapis and starts drinking her newly ordered milkshake.
"She seems interesting". Lapis looked at Twilight and gave her a smug smile that made the nerd angry.
"Well we better get going, we have school tomorrow". Pinkie said as everyone stood up from their seat and left the shop, except for Lapis and Sunset.
"They are really nice". Lapis said that made Sunset smile.
"I'm happy to know you're warming up to my best friends". Sunset throws her empty milkshake to the trash and looks at her Lazuli.
"Do you want to do something before going home?" Lapis thought for a moment and an imaginary light bulb appeared above her head.
"Well..."
Time flies by and it was four in the afternoon. Sunset Shimmer was smiling as she was holding Lapis Lazuli's hand while letting the gem lead her to wherever she wanted to go as long as if its safe. They were at the Canterlot forest outside of the city because Lapis wanted to see the outside world and Sunset is the perfect girl to show and teach the gem everything she knows about the world.
Thank Celestia, I told Lazuli that we can do whatever she wants. She had this face like when a kid was receiving a piece of candy for being good such a good child. I must protect her no matter. I am so glad I decided to wear my necklace.
Sunset Shimmer watch at Lapis was touching everything she sees interesting. It makes Sunset really happy to see that the gem was really curious about every surrounding that she stepped her feet into. Lapis would always turn to Sunset's direction and show all of the things that she wasn't familiar with with an innocent smile on her face. Lapis Lazuli always asked questions and Sunset was able to answer it with full honesty, even if the questions were stupid but to Sunset, it was just a question because the gem was curious.
"Sunset, look at what I found on a lily pad!" The former unicorn looks at the frog that Lapis was holding with a blank expression written all over the frog's face.
"It feels so... weird touching it but it's fascinating at the same time. No wonder why every human here likes living in this world, it's full of organic life!" Sunset smiles and watches as Lapis lets go of the frog.
"Organic life helps us to live properly. Without it, I don't think humans would even exist, nor is the other life forms that live here". Sunset said as she continues to follow her gem, who was skipping like a child.
"Well, I'm glad to know organic life can create a beautiful and amazing human such as yourself". The former student of Princess Celestia stopped on her tracks with a massive blush on her face when Lapis had said that. She looked at the gem to see she was gazing towards her direction with an innocent smile on her face.
Was that... a flirt or a compliment? I feel like I'm the luckiest unicorn in all over Equestria. Oh right, she still doesn't believe I'm not human.
Lapis Lazuli giggles cutely and hugs her savior before she could continue admiring the organic life that Earth had provided while the former unicorn was paralyzed, not in fear, but in shock. Lapis went back to her pony and carried her so that they could both enjoy their walk into the woods.
Time flies by and the sun was setting so that the moon could take over. Sunset and Lapis was still at the woods exploring. Sunset Shimmer thought it wouldn't hurt to explore more since she can tell that Lapis Lazuli seems to be enjoying and learning about the earth.
"Sunny?" Sunset stopped as Lapis pointed towards the direction of the waterfall.
They both looked around the surroundings and the moon was shining bright through the water. Fireflies were flying around them as well which made Lapis follow all of them. Sunset Shimmer sits down at the grass and continues to watch her Lazuli chasing the fireflies with a smile on her face.
"Be careful, Lapis!" Sunset shouted and Lapis gave her a thumbs up while chasing the fireflies around.
Sunset Shimmer stared at the water and debated herself whether she would take a quick swim or keep watching Lapis being her adorable self. She sighed and stood up so that she could take off her clothes, don't worry, she was wearing her swimsuit underneath her regular clothes.
"Oh my stars!"
Sunset gasped as she saw Lapis was about to fall on the water and the former unicorn stood up and quickly ran towards her gem so that she could catch her, but she tripped on a rock and accidentally pushed Lapis and the gem quickly grabbed hold of Sunset, sending both of them in the water.
Sunset and Lapis opened both of their eyes and realized that they were holding on to each other. Sunset's arms were around the gem's bare waist and Lapis's arms were around Sunset's neck. Their lips were three inches close and both of them took the time to admire each other, even if the water makes their vision blurry.
Unfortunately, Sunset started to drown due to her being a magical unicorn that has a body of a human teenager that needs to breathe in the air. She was struggling to go to the surface and Lapis immediately let's go of her savior and brings her to the surface. Lapis successfully got her savior to the surface and the former unicorn started to cough up water.
"A-Are you okay, Sunny?" Lapis asked and Sunset weakly nods her head while coughing up water. A few seconds later, Sunset cleared her throat which made Lapis sigh in relief because her savior was okay.
The former unicorn blushed to show her Lazuli looks attractive right now with wet hair. She was a sucker for that kind of girl in front of her.
"Oh my stars, you're turning red! Are you getting sick?" Lapis asked in a panic tone and Sunset clumsily waved her hand, indicating that there was nothing to worry about.
She's so pretty...
"Sunset you’re scaring me". Sunset snapped out of her thoughts to see a worried and scared gem and this almost made her feel bad for spacing out.
"I-I-I'm okay, Lapis. I was just... admiring you, that’s all". Sunset looks away with a blush on her face and Lapis looked at Sunset in confusion.
"Why would you waste your time admiring me? There's nothing about me that will be appealing to your human eyes". Lapis said with full honesty which made Sunset a bit upset because of what Lapis was saying to herself.
"Who wouldn't? You look really beautiful and the moonlight is reflecting towards you which adds up your sparkling beauty. I like that you are always positive to things you don't understand and I was happy that you are adjusting to earth. Oh Celestia, I'm rambling, aren't I? I annoyed you, huh." Sunset puts her hand to her forward, ashamed that she had blurted everything to the gem she slightly had feelings for. Lapis's mirror eyes winded and put both of her hands to Sunset's wet shoulder.
"Sunset, nothing in this organic planet will make you stop complimenting nice things about others. I feel really warm inside when you tell me that you see me as something that I didn't even see myself, that I'm beautiful. Please, don't stop being yourself".
The former unicorn gave Lapis Lazuli a sweet and happy smile before hugging her. The gem giggled and both of them started to float. Lapis watches in awe as Sunset's ears became pony ears and her hair started to grow longer til it reaches to her foot level, making it her tail. Their feet were touching the water like it was on the ground and their eyes were not leaving on each other's gaze. Both of them took a step back from each other and noticed that they were standing on the water.
"Whoa! I didn't know my magic can make me walk on water. This is so cool!" Sunset happily shouted while Lapis was confused to see why she could do this with her gem being cracked.
"I don't understand. My gem is cracked but I can still stand on water!" Lapis panicked and Sunset looks at her Lazuli.
"Calm down, Lapis. I think my magic bonded into your gem".
"Magic? But you're a human, you don't do magic... unless you’re a gem!" Lapis said that Sunset was being patient with the gem.
"I am not human, Lapis. I'm from another world. I know that you won't believe me at first but I am telling the truth. There's no need to rush for this new information." Lapis calms down and gives Sunset a small smile before she nods her head.
"Okay. I don't know that this will be possible". Sunset took a step forward and touched the gem's hands. The two of them began to gaze to each other's eyes and the moonlight shined above them.
"Neither did I. I still don't know how magic works in this world and I'm still learning. I know that we're both strangers to each other but let's face everything together". Sunset said with a soft tone in her voice that made Lapis have butterflies inside her stomach, even though she doesn't know what a butterfly is.
"Yeah, let's face everything". Both of their foreheads touched and fireflies surrounded them which added the romantic vibe in the forest. The forest animals were watching the whole time and they are enjoying the bond between the unicorn and the gem.
"Let's go home. It's getting late and I don't want my friends to worry since I left my phone". Sunset said that Lapis nods in approval.
"Okay".
Sunset and Lapis held hands as they got off the water so that they could go home. Sunset's pony ears and tail disappeared and she was back to what human form looks like. They started to walk back home and the former unicorn was trying her best not to get scared because their only light source was the woods.

"Great, we're stuck in the middle of the woods!!! Isn't that just.... SWELL?!"
Lapis Lazuli couldn't tell whether she wants to laugh or tell Sunset everything is going to be fine as long as they're together but in a situation like this, she decided to keep quiet. Sunset was pacing back and forth with a paper and a pen in her hands that she didn't know that she had in her leather pocket. She had drawn all the routes that she had taken with Lapis but they kept coming back to the middle of the woods. Lapis could only do now to sit on a big rock as she watched her savior going crazy.
"Sunset... maybe if you should calm do-"
"We've been going circles for Celestia knows how long and all we could see are trees, animals and more trees! I've drawn the routes and we only came back in the middle". Sunset said as she continues to draw. Ten seconds later, she finally gave up and sits down on the grass in frustration.
"This is all my fault! If only I have remember where we begin our journey, we wouldn't have been stuck here!" Lapis didn't sigh or feel annoyed towards her friend, she wanted to calm Sunset.
Sunset's eyes winded when she felt a weight against her shoulder and saw that Lapis Lazuli had her head against her savior's shoulder. Sunset didn't seem like she wanted to finish her sentence when her Lazuli is on her shoulder.
"Wh-What are you doing, Lazuli?" Sunset asked.
"I thought maybe this would calm you down since you've been stressing yourself for the past several minutes. I can stop if you feel uncomfortable with me doing this to you." Lapis innocently said as she closes her eyes and Sunset's heart was beating so fast.

"Please don't stop!" Sunset nervously said while she continues to draw again but this time in a messy way. Lapis giggled of how funny Sunset sounded when she said that.
"You're so funny, Sunset and that's what makes me like you even more".
Sunset Shimmer blushed really red like her hair when Lapis seems to be flirting with her but the gem might just be saying that because she was her savior. Sunset slowly smiled and continues to draw all the paths that they had taken. She was glad that she had showed Lapis everything that is to know this world and that she could tell that the gem was willing to stay with her. Sunset's eyes winded when she had looked up to see something shining through the distance.
"Whoa!" Lapis immediately woke up from the moment when Sunset had suddenly shouted.
"Wh-Wha-"
"I saw something from afar. Maybe it's showing us the way home, Lapis!" Sunset picks Lapis like a bride and runs towards the direction of where the light had come from.
"Slow down!" Lapis pleaded but it seems like Sunset was really desperate to go home with the gem.
"Sorry!" Sunset shouted as properly held Lapis close to her like her bride.
Sunset and Lapis saw the light again from the direction that they were taking and both of them stared at it in awe for about two seconds before it disappeared.
"Did you see that, Lapis?"
"I know what that light is. Keep running!" Sunset smiled in determination and didn't plan to stop running to the only source of their way out of this dark forest.
After twenty minutes of running, Sunset puts Lapis down and both of them hide behind the bush. Lapis was about to say something but stops when Sunset had signaled her to be quiet as she pointed to what's in front of the bush they were hiding. Both of them pops their head out of the bush they were hiding to take a look at the source of where the light had come from.
There was a tall skinny woman with a pearl gem on her forehead. She seems to be looking for something or someone but Sunset didn't want to scare the woman. The two of them watched the woman who was doing some investigation around the area where there is a big crystal circle in the middle.
"She seems to have a gem on her forehead. Lapis, is she from the same race as you?" Sunset asked and she heard no response.
"Lapis?" Sunset began to notice Lapis's mirror eyes and her expression, the gem seems to be furious with the skinny woman.
"Lapis, are you okay?"
"She's one of the Crystal Gems! She knew I was in that mirror and she didn't even bother to free me from that prison!!" Lapis angrily whispered and Sunset quickly took action when she saw that the gem was ready to pounce at her kind in any second.
"Calm down, Lapis! We don't want her to think that we're a threat. Let's just wait until she goes away, we need to know how she used that.... thing".
"Sunset, it's called a warp pad. Home world gems use it to travel around the galaxy."
"Do you know how to use that warp pad?" Sunset asked and Lapis frowned at that question.
"Yes, but my gem is cracked. I don't think it will work on me". Lapis felt her savior's hand interlock with her and both of them stared at each other.
"It doesn't hurt to try. Who knows, maybe it will work this time, Lazuli". The gem smiles and both of their foreheads touched each other.
"You always know what to say don't you, Shimmer?" Lapis softly smiled which made Sunset blush.
"You're the one and only gem that I will only talk like this". Sunset whispered
"I know that you're in there! I've already sensed you from the beginning!" Sunset pulls back and looks towards the other gem's direction. The other gem was taking some cautious steps towards her direction which made Lapis tense up and Sunset noticed this.
"I'll handle this, Lapis. I'm going to protect you. I won't let you get hurt".
"Sunset?!" Lapis whispered in a shock tone but she was too late to stop her savior to reveal herself to the Crystal Gem.
Sunset Shimmer left Lapis in the bush and stares at the other gem. It seems like the gem was examining her for a while before looking back to her eyes.
"Another human. So this is what Garnet meant". The gem said.
"I'm Sunset Shimmer. I was wandering around the woods until I saw a bright light coming towards this area. I was hoping that I could use it in order to see if it can take me home". Sunset said. She was taken back when the gem suddenly pulls out a weapon through her forehead and points it at her.
"I was told that you are going to be a threat!"
"Me?! What do you me-"
Sunset Shimmer quickly dodged to the right and she was almost going to be stabbed through the chest. She puts her hand on her pendant and ponied up. She didn't want to start a fight but it seems like the gem wanted to hurt her. As long as Lapis is safe, Sunset is okay with being hurt.
"State your name before I even have the chance to strike my move!" Sunset shouted.
"My name is Pearl and I'm going to kill you before you hurt the Crystal Gems!"

Sunset Shimmer was getting really tired of dodging all of Pearl's attacks. Lapis Lazuli was still finding behind the bushes, scared that Pearl might put her into a brand new mirror if she even helps Sunset.
"You humans really have fast reflexes. This is actually worth my time!" Pearl shouted as she almost stabbed Sunset with her spear.
"Are you nuts?!" Sunset did a black flip when Pearl had swung her spear.
"Stay still, human!"
"I don't want to hurt you, but it seems like you want trouble! AND STOP CALLING ME HUMAN!" Sunset shouted as she landed on the grass and dodged all of the Crystal Gem's moves really quick.
"Please, just listen to me!" Sunset pleaded and finally, Pearl had kicked her arm and sent Sunset flying towards a tree. The former unicorn's back had interacted with the tree, which made her groan in pain and landed on the dirt.
"Don't worry.... This will hurt a bit." Pearl raises her spear and she is ready to kill Sunset.
Sunset Shimmer felt something wet hitting her skin and looked up to see that it was raining. This was going to be hard for her because the rain was starting to pour really heavy, which made it hard for her to see Pearl. All she needs to do now is to trust her instincts and her ears.
You can do this, Sunset. This is for Lapis and she needs you. You need to protect her.
Sunset immediately rolled to the side before Pearl could stab her back. She gets back up and closes her eyes to let her instincts do the work. She sensed Pearl's spear coming towards her direction. Sunset kicks Pearl's spear and it landed on a tree near Lapis. The blue gem gulped nervously because it almost hit her.
Sunset Shimmer runs up to Pearl and starts punching her. Every move Sunset does, Pearl would perfectly dodge it. It's like she could predict her next move. Both of them jolted in surprise when they could hear thunder near them. Sunset was so distracted that she fell on the ground and Pearl's spear pointed at her forehead.
"Surrender now, Sunset."
"I don't even know why you attacked in the first place!" Sunset yelled and feared that the spear was getting close to her forehead.
"Please... Just tell me! I will do everything I can to fix it!" Pearl stopped and looked at Sunset.
"Garnet told me that a human is a danger to this planet and could kill every gem with her staff that has the power to shatter every gem and also kill humans. That human... is you. Your new power is so dangerous that you killed a gem! The only way to prevent that is to wipe out your existence!" Pearl points her spear close to Sunset's forehead.
"Killing isn't the solution to that! If I truly can kill your kind, then you can help me control it! To prevent that from happening. We can change that future. There's no need for violence, Pearl."
Pearl looks away and raises her spear to kill Sunset. The former unicorn closes her eyes and thought about Lapis. She had failed her. Now, she's here to die because of this prediction that Pearl told her. She was scared, what if that really happened in the future and would kill Lapis. She didn't want that.
A few seconds later, nothing happened. Sunset could feel someone hugging her, so she opened her eyes and saw Lapis Lazuli. Pearl was so shocked when she saw Lapis.
"La-Lapis? What are you doing?" Sunset asked, and Lapis glared towards Pearl.
"I can't believe you Crystal Gems will also kill innocent humans!" Lapis yelled and Pearl backed away a bit.
"I was just preventing that... human from killing us!" Pearl argued.
"Sunset will never do such a thing!"
"You don't know that!"
"She saved me from the mirror. The mirror you picked up from the Galaxy warp and you just threw me at the ocean when you thought I wasn't working! Sunset Shimmer saved me and treated me like an equal!" Sunset pulled Lapis close to her and Pearl couldn't believe that Lapis would care about a human.
"Pearl." Sunset stands up and carries Lapis on her back. Pearl puts her spear back inside her gem and looks at Sunset Shimmer.
"If this prediction of your friend is true, I swear that I will prevent it from happening. I can change the possibility and so that I won't hurt gems, especially Lapis." She smiled a bit when she could feel Lapis nuzzles her neck.
"I understand." Pearl walk past Sunset and the former unicorn watched as Pearl stand on the warp pad.
"Wait!" Sunset ran towards Pearl but the war pad activated, leaving Lapis and Sunset behind. She looks at the warp pad and decided to stand on it and see if it can work on them.
"Sunset, my gem..." Sunset puts Lapis down and looks at her.
"I just thought that it could work." Sunset said in an upset tone and presses her forehead against the blue gem. She didn't care about the rain that was pouring at above them. "I want us to go home."
"You mean your home?" Sunset pulls back and she could tell that Lapis is upset.
"It's your home as well, Lapis." The blue gem shakes her head and puts her hand on Sunset's cheek.
"I don't belong here, Sunset. Once I find a way to heal my gem, I can go back to where I came from. The place where I call my home." Sunset leans on Lazuli's touch and closes her eyes.
"I guess your right. You still have a place that you can call home. I understand and will help you heal your gems once we figure out how." Both of them shared a hug and Sunset sneezes.
"Are you okay?" Lapis asked and jolted in surprise when Sunset carries her like a bride. She ran towards the nearest tree and puts Lapis down. Sunset sneezes again and removes her leather jacket.
"It's getting cold. This tree will suffice." Sunset laid down and shivers a bit because of the rain. All Lapis could do is stare at the former equestrian shiver because she didn't know what to do.
She decided lay down and pull Sunset close. She smiled when she felt Sunset began to relax at her touch. She softly kisses Sunset's forehead and sleeps with her.

Sunset Shimmer woke up with something wet touching her back. She sits up and looks around to see nothing but water that has a unique color. She stood up and was confused as to why she was standing on water. Sunset looks around and starts walking a little, observing the view around her.
"This is... interesting?"
She stopped when she saw her reflection in the water. She looks really different. She had her hair cut up to her neck, her hair was dyed to blue and her streaks were sky blue. She was still wearing her signature leather jacket but her shirt wasn't her usual shirt with her cutie mark on it, it was replaced by a big yellow star. She was wearing navy blue shorts and she wasn't wearing her boots.
This was scaring her. She doesn't remember changing her style ... unless this was a dream. She looks around before looking back to the water.
"What is this place?" Sunset asked herself.
She continues to walk forward to see if there was any exit around this place. The view was the same color as the water. She raises her right arm to see that it was wrapped with a lot of bandages. She removes it a little and screams in fear because it was a prophetic arm.
"How did this happen?"
Sunset dropped down on her knees and began to shake in fear. She was confused and scared about what she had seen right now. She just wants to go home and take care of Lapis, the gem she had rescued from the mirror.
Then something happened. The view changed and showed her some memories that she was not familiar with. It was like a lot of clips that was playing really fast, making her head feel really hard. She covered her ears when voices started to whisper through her ears.
"STOP!"
It really hurts. Hearing all of those voices and screaming made Sunset want to end this.
"I SAID ENOUGH!"
Then it stopped. The memories that were showing to the view had disappeared. The whispers were also gone as well. Sunset was breathing heavily while looking at her left hand to see it was shaking. She was scared.
She heard a sound like someone was lifting something heavy.
She stood up and ran towards the direction of the sound.
"I'm coming to save you!" Sunset Shimmer shouted.
Sunset Shimmer was trying her best to run as fast as she can. She wasn't alone in this place and she will do everything she can to escape with that person. She gasped in shock to see Lapis Lazuli, and it seemed like she was trapped in water chains
"Lapis?" Sunset whispered, but she didn't stop running towards her.
Lapis Lazuli heard footsteps coming close to her direction and was afraid to look behind her because it might be the gem she had been fighting.
Sunset stopped and saw that Lapis' gem was fixed. She saw that Lapis seemed to struggle to break free from the chains.
"Lapis!"
Lapis' eyes winded in shock to hear her crush's voice. She turns her head around to see it really was Sunset Shimmer.
"Su-Sunset! Why do you keep coming back?!" Lapis shouted and Sunset became confused. She didn't know what Lapis meant, but she brushed that thought away and went in front of Lapis. She got to see Lapis' eyes but she couldn't tell what color it is.
"Lapis, let me free you! We'll get out of this place!" Sunset said.
"I can't!" Sunset jolted in surprise to Lapis' sudden tone in her voice.
"I can't get distracted! I... I got to hold us down with the weight of your planet's ocean! I got to keep her..." Lapis lifts her arm a bit and she seems to be struggling.

"I'm going to free you!" Sunset reaches slowly reaches out to Lapis and stops when Lapis' chains pulled her a bit but she gains control again.
"I told you.. NO!"
The chains drag Lapis down the water and Sunset drops down on her knees and looks at the water. She began to panic and tries putting her hand down and grabs Lapis' wrist. She tries pulling her up with the strength she has.
"I... I WON'T LEAVE WITHOUT YOU!"
Her hand slipped and the chains had dragged Lapis down completely. Sunset punches the water and she could feel tears coming out of her eyes.
"LAZULI!"
She heard another person coming out of the water and it seems like she also had water chains. Sunset saw a quartz gem located to the nose area. The gem was really big and buff. The gem looks at her and slowly crawled towards her really fast and Sunset trips down but backs away.
"You..." Sunset began to panic to the scary gem that seems like she wanted to kill her.
"W-Who are you?!" Sunset shouted.
"You... You.... You... YOU!" The gem reached her hand out to Sunset and the former unicorn closes her eyes really tight because she didn't want look at the gem's scary eyes.
Sunset opens her eyes to the sound of the gem being dragged to the other side of the water. The gem disappeared into the water and soon Lapis appeared again but this time, she was bruised up and she knelt to the water. Sunset crawled and also knelt down to look into Lapis' eyes.
"Can't you see? I can't stop, not for a second. Don't try to save me, I don't want your help!"
Sunset Shimmer held Lapis' cheek and looks at her with sadness in her eyes. She didn't know what to do in this situation. She felt so useless because she didn't know how to help Lazuli.
"Sunset... please just leave me alone..."
"But-"
"JUST LET ME DO THIS FOR YOU!"
"Lapis..."
"NO!" Lapis looks down at the water and Sunset could only do was watch her.
"I'm not Lapis anymore." The gem stood up and activated her wings to cover herself.
"We're Malachite now.." With that, she goes to the water and Sunset stood up.
"LAZULI!"
She felt the water began to shake and she backs away. The water rises and Sunset couldn't breathe. Her eyes winded and saw a really tall gem with four eyes looking at her.
