Celestia’s room, A week after the invasion

Where is it? It’s been a week since it showed up so why won’t it come out? This thing should not exist, it shouldn’t be here, something this evil and dangerous was vanquished a millenia ago!

Flashback,

??? Castle; 1245 years ago

“Princess! The preparations are done!” One of my loyal guards reported.

It’s been five month since this monstrous beast appeared near the Sacred Forest (Everfree Forest at the time), the Forest itself being known to give birth to peculiar beings, but this time an unimaginable being was released from the Forest. The worst was that it appeared when me and my sister just managed to stop the madness that was spread across the kingdom during Discord’s reign.

The kingdom was just starting to rebuild itself until this monster came out of the Forest and started to wreak havoc in the kingdom, and we couldn’t even use the Elements of Harmony to seal it away because it seems like they need to recover magic to be used again, up until now we couldn’t do anything but try slowing the monster from going forward which was downright impossible as the beast just absorbed any spells thrown at him, not even my teacher’s legendary spells only stopped it for one minute.

“Sister! We art ready to exterminate this foul beast!” Luna said wearing a full obsidian armor, it was thanks to our Alicorn strength that we are able to wear such heavy armors, but it is nothing compared to the weight of the whole kingdom putting its trust on you.

“Calm down Luna, we can’t directly attack this monster, its tentacles wouldn’t allow to do so.” I said wisely to calm down the anger inside Luna, the reason she showed such hatred is because half of the victims of this monster’s action was her subjects the Night Dwellers or more commonly known as the Bat Ponies.

“It doesn’t matter! Thou knows what this foul beast did to thy subjects!” She replied obviously trying to get me to charge mindlessly towards the beast, but it wouldn’t work on me as even I knew that sacrifices were needed for a better end.

“Not now Luna, we need to use the Elements of Harmony carefully, our guards are desperately trying to hold this beast in a stand still, we can’t afford to miss the spell.” I explained to make her stop complaining. Now that she is fully, or at least more composed now, we can finally end this calamity.

“Here! The Princesses are finally here! Unicorns! Hold still a little longer!” The current pony in command said, it was Diamond Armor, the current Captain of the Royal Guard. For the last hour we sent countless unicorns to hold the Beast down with their magics.

It took a whole month to finally find that the Beast absorbed our spells only if the spells themselves were aimed directly at its core, but if we aim our magic at the outer layer of the body, it wouldn’t be absorbed. But it still took an unimaginable amount of magic to hold it down for just five minutes, the first time I tried it I realised how strong the Beast was as it broke from my magic grip in just a minute, I was sent to the nearest healing post for magic exhaustion for three entire hours.

So we planned to use as many unicorns as we could to hold it down for at least an hour, thousands of unicorns were sent to do this which greatly broke my heart, these ponies were just recently recovering from Discord’s madness and now they were all sent to battle just after that.

When we arrived at the current Beast’s location, we found countless worn out unicorns, only a few remained to maintain the Beast but they would one by one fall from exhaustion.

“Sister…” Luna said saddened by the sigh before her.

“Don’t worry, we will put an end to this.”

Elements at hoof, we finally stood before the monster, we called it ‘Ruin’ the embodiment of destruction, the monster itself wasn’t really unknown to the world, in fact this monster is often mentioned in books older than ponies themselves, although we couldn’t understand the language, we could clearly see this monster in representation and drawings and the only words that we could translate stated that this Calamity only appeared to end the era or the existence of a species or other entities, it was name ‘The Judge’ or ‘The Embodiment of The End’ in many of those old books.And now we stood in front of such a being to protect our species from The End.

“Heh…” Luna snickered and soon enough we both started to smile, facing this unimaginable pack of raw power with the one I love the most, one would surely smile at this ridiculous situation, but we stopped smiling when we finally got the attention of the Beast, it’s tractor beam aimed directly at us, but we didn’t move, the reason for that is our armor that was fully made from pure obsidian and gold, something this heavy would certainly not give up on any levitation magic.

“It seems like the armor works very well.” I stated as I moved around the area where the beam took effect, the truth is that the levitation cast by the beam only lightens the weight of the armor making it easier to move around. This little play continued on until the Beast finally started to take us seriously by launching its projectiles as well as using its tentacles, at least it tried to if not for the restraining spell casted by the now energetic group of unicorns that regained their strength when they saw their beloved rulers.

“Now!” Luna shouted while starting to use the Element of Harmony, I imitated her by starting to charge them too. When they were fully charged, we fired the full power of the Elements of Harmony to the Beast middle body which was where one of its head was, it clearly didn’t like it as the head literally exploded leaving the fired beam straight into its body where we assumed was its heart, after the beam pierced through the Beast, its whole body started to explode sending countless unknown materials flying all over the area.

We were all shocked at that and more me and my sister because we never expected the Elements to do that to it, they never actually killed or destroyed an opponent before so what did they do it now?

“Hooray! Long live the Princesses!” Said everypony who witnessed this event, but I knew that this should not be recorded as this would only bring destruction, they may only be one book that would record such an event and it would be one of the books that would stay with me until the rest of time, I’m sorry sister, my little ponies but I must do this.

“Suster? What are y-”

I casted a memory eraser spell to all that witnessed this and to all that knew of the Beast’s existence so that none would remember this event…

Flashback End

It never appeared again since that time so I thought that it was gone forever! So what is it doing here at a time like this! And why does it feel so… different?

After the event happened, all of the Beast’s body parts that flew through all of the kingdom were slowly turning to ash until it left nothing behind, I especially made sure that there was no remain so that such an event would ever happen, so why is it here?

“Sister, are you alright?” I heard Luna said from behind me, I can’t tell her what happened so long ago, can I? No I shouldn’t, no one should remember these atrocities.

“Sister, you can tell me what’s troubling your mind, is it that beast?” Luna asked.

“Yes, what if it reappeared and cause havoc in Equestria?” I asked.

“Why would it? You clearly saw that it was helping our subjects no?” Luna replied.

“Yes, but...but.”

“But what? Sister, what are you hiding about this Beast?” Luna asked, this was it, I can’t lie to her when she makes a face like this and when I think about it, it was selfish of me to let at least my sister remember the events that transpired a millenia ago.

“It’s better if Twilight was here too.” I said before going to my bed to sleep, Luna nodded and went to her duty. Tomorrow will be a long day.
