Wake up! Today is New Year's Eve! We have to enjoy the last day of the year!" Twin fillies Ragtag and Shooting Star said at the same time as they jumped on their parents's bed. Soarin and Rainbow Dash groaned as they slowly opened their eyes and looked at the fillies above them. "Calm down girls, we still have a whole day ahead" Soarin said "But we want to start early, we want to make the most of our last day of the year!" Said Ragtag "Yeah, you two better not sleep again!" Ragtag said "I love it when Grandma and Grandpa come to visit us! When are they coming?" Shooting Star said "At 8:00 I think" Dash said "Well we better start enjoying our day, and to start who is in the mood to go to the cloudsdale public pool?" Soarin said and his daughters cheered up. ______________________________________ Rainbow Dash and Soarin took their two twin daughters to Cloudsdale's public pool to enjoy the last day of the year. The two fillies loved the Cloudsdale pool, because it was one of the largest and most famous pools in Equestria. Rainbow Dash was relaxing in a chair with his sunglasses on while enjoying some sunshine. Ragtag and Shooting Star were playing with each other in the pool, and Soarin was bringing a cold drink to his wife. He knew how much she loved Cloudsdale's drinks. "Here Dashie, I know how much you like Cloudsdale's rainbow vitamin," Soarin said as he handed the drink to his wife. "Thanks Soarin, you needed this," Dash said as she sipped his drink. Soarin approached her and sat in a chair beside her, and also decided to enjoy some sunshine while his daughters had fun in the pool. ______________________________________ In the late afternoon the four ponies returned home to welcome Rainbow Dash's parents, Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles. Soarin and Rainbow Dash were finishing organizing the house when they heard a knock on the door. "I open the door!" Ragtag said running to the door and opening it revealing her grandparents. "Yes after all this food demands a lot of perfection, oh I remember when your mother was a little filly and she loved when I made this food every year in the new year, and then she would mess everything around her with the food and then it was a sacrifice to make her shower and- "Windy was cut off by her daughter "Mom I don't think you need to tell all the details," Rainbow Dash said blushing a little while Shooting Star just laughed. Soon after the food was ready and all the ponies sat at the table and began to eat the delicious food. "Wow, Windy this time you excel at cooking this food" Bow Hothoof said "Thanks Bow" Windy Whistles said "You excel yourself too Dashie" Soarin said "Thank you Soar" Dash said as he kissed her husband on the cheek. Shortly after eating Ragtag he went to the window and began to watch the fireworks. "Mommy! Daddy! Can we go see the fireworks? Please Mommy! Our friends and our aunts will be there too, please!" Shooting Star climbed on her father's back and Ragtag climbed on her mother's back.
