Twilight just sat there on the couch next to her mother as everything was explained to her. Her body trembled a bit as she took all that information in. "Why?" she whispered.

"I was willing to do anything, and everything to save my marriage." she said. "I thought.....I thought that if I let him....he'll....stay. I just wanted him to love me again."

Twilight she shot up from the couch and looked her mother in the eyes with pain in hers. She didn't have to say anything as Velvet already knew. Her husband no longer loved her, and was only using her for sex under the guise that their marriage could be saved, and with the world gone to hell, he was stuck with her. Velvet lowered her head, her heart broken at everything she'd lost; everything she tried so hard to keep. It was all gone. The pain was too much for her and just broke down; burying her face in her hands and sobbing all of her grief out. "OH, GOD!" she cried out as Twilight held her.

It was evening time when Spike managed to pull himself out of bed. He did what he wanted to do, and that was bring his parents home, but what next. The whole point of this mission was to find their families and make it to the airport, but his was gone. He had no one left in this world. "Spike!" came Cream's voice. She didn't realize it, but she was able to pull Spike out of the dark thoughts he was about to have with her voice. Before he had a chance to respond to her, she pulled him into a hug. "Are you feeling okay?" she asked.

"Hard to say." he answered. "Where is everyone?"

"Twilight and Velvet are in the kitchen, and everyone else are in the living room watching the news coverage." she explained. "It's not good. According to the reporters, more and more of those zombies are appearing by the second and the self defense force can barely keep up fighting them."

"The longer we stay here, the harder it's going to be later." he said. "We should move out."

"It's a bit too late to leave now." she said. "The sun's already going down."

Right as Spike was trying to figure out just long he stayed in bed, Cream embraced him once again; tighter this time. She believed he needed as much love and support now more than ever, but Spike was feeling a bit too much of it right now. He was starting to find it hard to breathe, though her massive tits did feel nice against his chest. "Oh, Spike, if there's anything I can do....." she said in a soft voice.

"Letting me b-breathe would be nice." he interrupted. With a slight blush, Cream released Spike from her hold. There was a very brief moment of silence between them before Spike spoke up. "Let's go downstairs." he suggested. "We need to figure out a way to get to the airport." As they both started to make their way downstairs, Cream took Spike's hand and held it. She was determined to let him know that he wasn't alone in this world, which was something he appreciated, but wondered what would be going through Button's mind if he saw the two of them like this. He, and everyone else, were sure that the two of them were having some secret mother/son relationship seeing as how close they were, but they had no evidence of such; not like he wanted to see something like that anyway.

When they reached downstairs, Spike was met with sympathetic looks from the others who had no idea what to say to him. "So...how bad is it out there?" he asked; trying to get everyone's minds off the subject of his parents.

"The city's overrun with either zombies or crazed gang members with nothing to lose." Rarity answered. "The only way to make it to the airport now, is to go around the city."

"So how do we do that from here?" asked Adagio.

"Take Starlight avenue to get back on the highway, then we can take Interstate 20." came Velvet's voice. Both she and Twilight came from the kitchen after hearing Spike's voice.

"Won't that take us to Stone Canyon?" asked Sunset.

"Not if we take the very last exit heading that way." she explained. "It'll lead up straight to the airport."

"Sounds like a plan." said Spike. It was settled, tomorrow they'll move out, first thing. A small beeping noise came from the kitchen followed by a mouth watering aroma. Velvet and Twilight had cooked dinner for everyone and truth be told, the entire group were famished.

Sometime later, while everyone gathered in the living room, Spike remained in the kitchen where his attention was turned towards a door that led into the basement. He remembered his childhood, when he and Twilight would always play down there when they weren't supposed to. He also remembered seeing a door down and being told not to go in it. Both he and Twilight made multiple attempts to see what was behind it, but were always stopped by the adults. "Well, no need to worry about anyone coming to stop me now." he said. Spike went towards the door and made his way down to the basement.

The basement itself was just a large area with not much in it; aside from the washer and dryer located in the corner along with a shelf holding different kinds of laundry detergents, but that wasn't what Spike was looking for. Walking to the other side of the area, he found the door, the door that led to something he wasn't aloud to see as a kid. At least there's one good thing about this new world, there's no one who can stop him from finally seeing what's behind.....

His disappointment is immeasurable, and his entire day is ruined. Behind the door, was nothing, literally nothing, but an empty, narrow closet that looked as if it could barely fit two people in it. This was it? THIS is what they didn't want him seeing?! Spike closed the door with a combination of anger and disappointment written on his face, and started to walk away, but stopped when he saw Velvet standing in front of him. The two stood there for a few seconds; not knowing what to say to one another before Spike decided to break the silence. "There's nothing in there." he said as though there was no life in him.

"Oh...that." she said, looking away from him. "My....father designed it to be kind of like a bunker. It's a place to hide in case someone breaks in our home."

"That small closet could barely fit two people, let alone an entire family." he said.

"It was originally designed for Twilight and Shining Armor when they were smaller." she explained. "Guess there's no point in having it now." Velvet lightly chuckled at the realization that her father went through the trouble of making something that turned out to be completely useless in the end. However, she soon went back to sadness once the though of Shining Armor entered her mind. That sweet little boy who used to be connected to her hip wherever she went, became a cold-blooded monster who took the lives of her two closest friends; friends she abandoned along with everyone else in the neighborhood.

Seeing the guilt on her face, Spike wanted to say somethin, but couldn't find the words. Did he blame her for what Shining did to his parents? No. She wasn't the one who pulled the trigger, her son did, and Spike had no idea on how he was going to deal with him when they eventually met up again. He didn't think anyone would blame him if he'd blacked out and killed him outright, aside from Night Light whose shown that he's on Shining's side no matter what.

Button had made his way half way down the stairs when he saw both Spike and Velvet. "So here's where you two were." he said with some alert.

"What's up?" Spike asked.

"We have a problem." he answered.

Both Spike and Velvet followed him out of the basement where they discovered that the house was in darkness. Before either of them could ask what was going on, Button pulled both of them to the floor just as a bright search light shone through the window. Right after it passed, there were gun shots and men yelling about a zombie. Seconds later, even more gun shots went off; indicating that there were more of the undead approaching them. While a large battle was going off outside, Rarity took this moment to take out her cell phone and flash a small light to everyone; signaling that they should keep low and move somewhere else in case the fighting causes them to enter the house. Twilight wanted to get over to Spike, but he was in the kitchen and it was too dark for her to make an attempt to get over there else she'd bump into something alerting whomever it was outside that there were people here. Being close to the staircase, she started to crawl her way up with Sunset right behind her. Rarity and Adagio, who were on the other side of the room, crawled over to a nearby broom closet while Cream just remained next to the couch; a loud boom from outside prevented her from making a move. It wasn't until Button made his way over to her that she was finally able to leave from her spot. The pair moved over to the staircase and made their way upstairs while Spike and Velvet went back into the basement. However before Spike could close the door behind him, the front door had burst open and someone fell in on their back firing at something. The uniform that person was wearing looked familiar to him, but there was no time worry about that now. He quickly closed the door, and both he and Velvet went over to the secret hiding spot. It was going to be a very tight squeeze since it was designed for children, but they had no choice. Squeezing themselves inside, Spike closed the door and now had to wait and see what happens next.

Outside, the fighting had ceased and the men, who turned out to be soldiers, surveyed the area in case there were anymore of them. One of them went into the house where his buddy was and took a look inside. "Wonder if the power works." he said. Rubbing his hand on the wall, he felt the light switch and flipped it. "Hmm, nice house." he said before going over to help his friend up who happens to be a woman with dark grey hair.

Seeing that the lights were on, Rarity took a quick peek out of the closet and saw the two soldiers. "Those are Neighsay's soldiers!" she thought. "Why are they here?"

"Dammit, remind me again why we're even in this neighborhood." asked the woman. "It's not like he'd be here."

"Apparently, this neighborhood is where this kid is from." he explained. "Guess the boss figured he'd come back here first." The two soldiers took a few steps more into the living room when a third came in.

"Octavia, Viper, you two okay?" he asked.

"SIR!" they both saluted.

"The zombie threat appears to have been taken care of, so while everyone's securing the perimeter, try checking this place out for clues." the commanding officer suggested. "Who knows, this just might be the kid's house." The two saluted once again as he left. Both Octavia and Viper looked around for a few seconds before deciding to split up.

Viper started to head up stairs, and in doing so, altered Twilight and the others that someone was coming. When he made it to the second floor, the first thing he noticed was a door cracked opened. His curiosity was peaked and he slowly moved towards it; being ready in case someone, or something jumped at him. Slowly, he entered Twilight's room; making his way to her desk where he saw a picture of her and some guy. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a small device and searched for the image of whom they were looking for, the pictures did not match. This was a completely different person "Damn, for a second there, I thought it was him." he said. "Guess he doesn't live here then. Still, I should keep looking around, maybe they're friends of his." As Viper continued to look around the room, Twilight and Sunset were hiding in the closet. This reminded them from when they hid from some gang members in a random house, but the difference now is, this guy looked to be a soldier. They were going to have to be extra quiet and not move an inch, else he'll instantly know where they are. Another difference is that back then, Sunset only had a wooden stick, and not a sword like she does now. Her grip on it tighten as he got closer to the closet with both hers and Twilight's heartbeats continuously increased with each passing second. Sunset was ready to strike him down is need be.

Viper stood near the closet for a few more seconds before heading out the room. "Let's try one of the others." he said.

Once he left, Twilight and Sunset were able to calm down, but couldn't leave just yet. For all they knew, there were one of them inside the house; best to just remain where they were until one of the others came to find them. One other thing on was there mind though, just who was it this guy was looking for?

In the hallway, Viper walked towards one of the other rooms; completely walking pass a door that was on the ceiling. It was the entrance to the attic where Cream and Button were hiding. Button had figured it'd be the best place to hide since the way the home was designed, no one, except the people living here, would even notice it. The two of them were in the corner behind a bunch of boxes being as quiet as possible. Button, not one to pass on an opportunity, sat with his back against the wall while having Cream straddled on top of him. This was clearly NOT the time for any "funny business", but Button will be Button, at least when it comes to Cream. He placed his hands on her hips and started to move her against his pelvis with a dark smirk on his face. "Button, no!" she whispered.

"Come on, where's your sense of excitement?" he whispered back.

"Is sex all you can think about?" she whispered in a harsh tone.

"You're the one who got me this way." he argued. "This sexy body of yours is just too addicting."

Cream would be lying to herself if she didn't admit she was a little turned on right now. It was just like back at that gas station before they made it to the mall where the two of them had themselves a little quickie in the back. It was the thrill of possibly getting caught that did it for her, but unlike then, getting caught now could possibly put their lives at risk. After all, they had no idea who it was that was outside firing all those shots, and now, they were in the house. For all she knew, it could be those gang members they fought before. "Okay, but only dry humping, and I'm on top." she whispered; knowing that if she was in control, she could end it quick thus lowering their chances of being discovered. Button nodded and carefully moved to lay on his back while Cream adjusted herself. With one hand on his chest, she started moving her hips back and forth.

****************************

After checking every room and finding nothing, Viper headed back downstairs and made his way into the kitchen. "Octavia, you still here?" he called.

"Down here!" she answered. Viper looked over towards the open door to the basement, and made his way over. Coming down the stairs, he looked around and spotted her in the middle of the room. "Find anything?" she asked.

"No, nothing." he answered. "Looks like he doesn't live here."

"I hope we're not expected to search all the houses here." she said. "That be a pain in the ass, and just what's so special about this kid anyway?!"

"All I know is that Neighsay wants him for some reason." he answered. "What reason that is, who knows, but it must be something important if he's willing to send all of us on this retrieval mission."

"Retrieval? More like a wild goose chase." Octavia stated. "How much you wanna bet the kid's already dead?" Viper chuckled before looking around the empty room. He marveled at the size of it; thinking about how if this was his place, he'd turn it into his own personal man cave. "So, should we get going?" she asked.

"No, not yet." he said with a smirk.

Octavia took one look at him and sighed heavily. It was a look she was all too familiar with in the years she'd known him. "Seriously?" she said in an annoyed tone. "We're in someone's house you know."

"Not like anyone's here." he said. "And the captain's too busy dealing with the others right now." Octavia was getting really annoyed with Viper here, especially when he clapped his hands together and brought them up as though he was praying, but in actuality, he was begging. "Alright, fine." she said with a groan. "God, you're so annoying sometimes." Turning her back towards him, she started removing her clothing; beginning with her boots, then soon her pants. Viper quickly followed suit; undressing right along with her. Three minutes later, Viper was now down to his black boxers before looking over to Octavia who stood in front of him wearing nothing by a pair of black panties and a black sports bra holding some nice, round assets. "Let's get this over with." she said with a slight blush and diverting her eyes away. "Seriously, I don't know who's worse, you or Vinyl."

"Too bad she's assigned to the other group." he said wrapping his arms around her waist. "We could've had a nice little threesome going." Viper moved Octavia until her back was pressed against a closet door. Lifting her leg, and burying his face in her neck, he started off their little session by grinding against her. She hummed at the sudden sensation and held onto her partner as he continued; not realizing that behind that door there were two people who could hear them.
