Vintavia Scralody Season 2

Vinyl and Octavia are at their house in the living room couch, the two have their hooves on their backs as if they are laying down in bed.

“So Tavi, what do you wanna do today?”

Tavi Shrugs.

“Well i don’t know what i wanna do either. But I will not put up with boredom.” Said Vinyl as she reaches the remote to the TV. “Let’s watch some TV.”

Vinyl turns on the TV and she flicks it to the news channel.

“In today’s ‘Your life is our business’, We have a singer who goes by the name: Feather Bangs, who has quit making albums, disappointing the fans, we may not know why he cancelled his career, but everyone who has heard of this is so not happy.”

Vinyl and Octavia stare at the TV with blank expressions on their faces.

“Well, i hope he moves on.” Said Octavia camly.

Vinyl glares at her marefriend over the comment. “You’re kidding, right? Have you not been listening carefully? Feather Bangs quit!”

“Yeah, and he’s gonna move on.”

“Move on? Tavi, i’m pretty sure that music was his life.”

“Please. Most of his albums are just covers from other songs.”

“That may be true, But everyone else does the same thing. I mean covers can be good, right?”

“Fair enough, but what do you propose we should do?”

Vinyl points her hoof to her chin to think and suddenly gets an idea. “Wait, that’s it! Tavi, I know what we’re gonna do today.”

“What’s that?”

“This May sound a bit dumb, but maybe we could just talk to him face to face.”

“But where exactly would he be?”

“Last time I checked, he was at a music studio at Manehattan.”

“But I thought he was at the little Village: Our Town.”

“I thought that as well.”

“Ah. Then that’s where we’re going.” Octavia said confidently.

“Hey Tavi, I always wonder: why do you go along with whatever I do?” Vinyl asked confused.

“You May be insane, Vinyl, but you clearly know how to solve a problem better than I do, and I’m the smart one.”

Vinyl chuckles and hugs her marefriend, giving her a kiss on the lips as she returned it.

“I love you, Octavia.”

“I love you too, Vinyl.”

They broke their embrace, they immediately hopped out of their couch and head off, walking out the door. They let out a sigh, knowing that this is gonna be a long journey.

The two finally arrived at Manehattan were they were walking around the cutest couples..

“How are we gonna find Feather here?” Asked Octavia.

“Maybe he’s in one of these places?” Said Vinyl

After a few moments of searching, they found an earth pony with a brown mane and a light gold coat walking towards a music store that the male pony owns.

“That’s gotta be him.” Said Vinyl as she and Octavia approach the place.

They open the doors and find the celebrity sitting on the counter as they approach him.

“Um, you must be Feather Bangs, right?” Said Vinyl.

“Yes I am, say do I know you?” Feather Bangs asked.

“Oh, I’m Vinyl Scratch, and this is Octavia Melody.”

“Oh, nice to meet you, girls. What are you doing here anyways?” He asked.

“We’re here because we want to get your confidence back up.” Said Vinyl.

“What do you mean by that?” Asked Feather.

“Well, we know that you’ve quit your music, the question is why?” Asked Octavia.

Feather sighs. “I get asked that question a lot, and to be honest, I just think it’s boring, the only reason I ever sang was to get together with Sugar Belle, who ended up with Big Mac.”

“Please, there are other girls you could meet, we understand that it sucks not getting the chance, but just move on, you have other mares to impress.” Said Vinyl.

“Yeah, I’ll bet most of your audiences are cute girls that are dying to flirt with you.” Octavia added.

“I wish I could agree with that, but Sugar Belle wasn’t the only girl I’ve tried hooking up with.” Said Feather sighing. “I tried hooking up with Pear Butter, but then I learned she was with Bright Mac. Next, I tried impressing Upper Crust, but I was upstaged by Jet Set. The last one I tried talking to was Twilight Velvet, but I was beaten by Night Light.”

“So what you’re saying is that you can’t go back on stage unless you have a date?” Asked Vinyl to which Feather nods in response. Vinyl looks at Octavia, as the DJ has an idea. “Tavi, I know what we’re gonna do today.”

“What?” Asked the cellist.

“We’re gonna get Feather Bangs a Date.”

“Well I mean, if it’s gonna get him back on stage, then I guess it’s worth it.” Octavia agreed with the idea.

“It’s cool how you wanna help with that.”

“Thanks Vinyl.”

The two left out a chuckle.

Feather steps in. “I really hate to break this moment, but should we get going?”

“Sure.” Vinyl replied.

The three mares left off.

Vinyl, Octavia, and Feather are back at Ponyville.

“Alright, Feather. Ponyville have tons of available women.” Said Vinyl.

“I don't know, Girls. None of these ladies are as hot as the ones I tried getting together with.” Said Feather as he looks around the town.

“Well, check that out.” Said Octavia pointing a hoof towards Junebug walking around the Marketplace. “Equestrian cheese singles, a single serving of soup, and who buys one Apple? And I don't see any jewelry on her. So what are you waiting for? Go get her!”

“Ok, I’ll give it a shot.” Feather said as he nervously walks to Junebug. “Uh, hey, you're a girl. I was wondering if you wanted to…” He stuttered before snapping. “I can't do this!” He exclaimed running away, leaving the female pony confused.

Vinyl and Octavia exchanged confused glances as they were watching what Feather just did.

“What was that?” Asked Vinyl confused.

“I’m sorry, I told you, I can’t talk to girls normally.” The singer said looking down in guilt.

“Well, you said you wanted a girlfriend, and you’re not going on stage without one, c’mon.” Said Vinyl as she dragged Feather across town. They make a stop eventually. “How about her?” She said pointing at Fiddly Twang, who was playing her violin. “She seems cool enough to date.”

“Um...not trying to be rude, but I’m not really a fan of classical music.” Said Feather rubbing his head in guilt.

“She doesn’t just play classical music.” Said Vinyl as the three walk up to her. “Hey Fiddly, you mind playing us a modern song for our friend please?” Vinyl asked.

“Um...sure, if you insist.” Said the violinist as she is playing a violin cover and she is getting good with the notes she’s playing. After the song was done, she looked at her small audience. “Well, what do you think?”

“That was awesome.” Said Vinyl cheerfully.

“Reminds me of what I’ve played.” Said Octavia cheerfully.

“Um...it was good.” Said Feather looking slightly shy.

Vinyl put her hoof on her chin and thinks. “Ummm, maybe not your type.” Said Vinyl dragging the male pony away. “Sorry about that Fiddly.”

“It’s fine.” Said the pale mare.

The three mares kept on walking with Vinyl being frustrated.

“Gah! This is hopeless! We’re never gonna find somepony good enough for Feather!” Vinyl moaned.

As Vinyl was talking, Octavia darts her eyes at someone. “Right, especially if that mares is a female Pegasus with a yellow and black mane and a peach coat with her hair covering her eyes.”

“Exactly.” Vinyl realizes something. “Wait what?!”

The two mares see Songbird Serenade walking with her entourage through ponyville, Vinyl and Octavia gasp.

“Songbird Serenade!” They exclaimed happily.

“Hey Feather, there’s your type.” Said Vinyl pointing her hoof at the Pegasus.

“Oh my...she’s perfect!” He exclaimed. “But I’m just nervous.”

Vinyl and Octavia glanced at each other and groaned. They pushed the male singer towards Songbird and bumps him into her face. They rubbed their muzzles from the pain.

“Oh my god I’m so sorry.” Said Feather in guilt.

“Oh no, it's no problem, it’s just a little pain after all.” Said Songbird grinning.

Feather chuckled nervously before he swallows and speaks up. “Um, I never got your name.”

“Songbird Serenade.” She said extending a hoof.

“Um, Feather Bangs.” He said returning the hoof shaking it.

“Feather Bangs? I like that.” Songbird said slyly, making Feather blush.

“Say Um, Songbird, do you wanna like hang out sometime?”

“Yes, I still got time.”

“O-O-Ok cool.”

Vinyl and Octavia saw the whole thing from behind and gave each other a hoof bump. Feather trots back to them.

“Guys, I did it. She wants to go out with me, which means I can get my music career back.” Feather said happily.

“Yup.” Vinyl grinned.

“But You two only talked for a minute or two, and you started off as friends, but once you hang out with her for a couple of hours, she might consider it a date.” Octavia stated.

“Well, that’s a risk I can take.” Said the male earth pony before hugging Vinyl and Octavia. “Thanks guys, you’re the best.”

“Don’t mention it.” Said Vinyl grinning as she’s patting him on the back.

“Just don’t mess it up.” Said Octavia patting him on the back as well.

They all broke their embrace.

“Oh and by the way, here are our phone numbers if you wanna text or call us.” Said Vinyl handing him a piece of paper of hers and Octavia’s phone numbers.

“Oh thanks.” The male stallion said taking the papers.

“No problem.” Grinned Octavia.

Feather runs off leaving the two mares standing.

At night, Feather is at his apartment, getting ready for his “date” with Songbird. This includes: brushing his teeth, putting on a black suit and combing his hair.

“Looking good, Feather. looking good.” He said to himself, looking at his mirror as he flips his hair.

He puts on his fancy boots and heads off outside.

Feather is out on the streets looking for Songbird but no sight of her, that is until he finds a familiar looking Pegasus with a yellow and black mane and a peach coat with her hair covering her eyes. Feather walks up to her.

“Hey, Songbird. Heh-heh. I was writing' poetry by the pond when I saw these flowers. I thought I'd show them how pretty you are.”

“Oh! Heh. Thanks, Feather Bangs.” Said Songbird as she takes the flowers from him. “So ready to go?”

“You know it girl.” He chuckled.

They made their way to a fancy, and were greeted by a long line. They took their place and found that the line was moving much quicker than they thought it would and they were up at the front entrance in no time. The stallion at the podium looked at them with a somewhat annoyed glance, “May I help you?”

Songbird gave him a bright smile, “Yes, we have a reservation for this evening.”

"Name please?"

“Songbird Serenade.”

He flipped through his little book and then looked at them, “Right this way you two.” They followed him into the restaurant as he lead us to our table. He sat down our menus and pulled out a small note pad, “What can I get for you to drink.”

Feather looked up to him, “Can we have a bottle of '74 Apple De Lu-range please.”

The waiter wrote down the order and went off into the kitchen. Songbird picked up the menu and began to look over everything, it all looked and sounded so good, She honestly didn't know what I wanted to get. She looked over at Feather who nodded to the inside of his menu and set it aside. Not wanting to take forever, She quickly decided what She wanted to get and set her menu aside as well.

The waiter soon returned with out bottle of wine and poured it into our glasses, setting the bottle on the table, “Have you decided what you would like to eat this evening?”

Songbird looked up and gave him a smile, “I would like the sauteed meadow delight special with glazed carrots and apple crisps.”

He wrote down my order and then looked over at Vinyl, “And for you sir?”

"I'll have the spicy solar flare with honey dew melon and apple crisps."

"Excellent choices, I'll get them to the Chef right away," he picked up their menus and went off into the kitchen.

There was a moment of silence before the two could start talking.

“So, what do you want to talk about?” Feather started.

“Well, my new album came out, and I think I did a good job on it.”

“Oh, my career was still alive.”

“Yeah, I heard, you’re music was good too, and even since you quit, I still liked you as a person.”

That statement made Feather blush

“Oh, well thank you, um can you excuse me for a moment?” Said Feather as he rushed to the washroom and started texting Vinyl.

FEATHER

Hey Vinyl, it worked, While she knew that I quit music, she was cool with it.

VINYL

But you’re gonna come back to performing, right?

FEATHER

Well, I was thinking she and I could do a duet pretty soon.

VINYL

Dude, that’s awesome, I’m happy for ya.

FEATHER

Thanks, well, I gotta go, I don’t wanna keep Songbird waiting, cya.

VINYL

Bye.

And with that, Feather trotted out of the washroom and towards Songbird, who was already eating the food she already ordered. Feather took his seat and started eating his food. After that, he swallowed and opened his mouth.

“So...Songbird. I was wondering if uh...you know...uh…”

“Yes?”

“Wouldyouliketosingaduetwithme?” He spat out.

There was a moment of silence before Songbird could answer.

“Sure I don’t see why not.” She replied.

“Um ok.” He said trying to keep his cool.

A few moments later and the two had already finished their meals. Songbird payed for the bill and the two mares head outside. Songbird gave Feather a hug.

“Thanks Feather.”

“For what?”

“For taking me out here. It was really cool how you’d do that for me.”

“Well, that’s what friends are for.”

The two embraced each for a while and after that, they broke it, they head out in opposite directions to their homes. Feather Bangs headed back to his apartment with a big smile on his face, knowing that his relationship with Songbird was gonna be perfect. He brushed his teeth and went to sleep hoping that the next day would turn out good.

Feather woke up, realizing that this was gonna be the day he returns to performing on stage, he got off his bed and got prepared. After that he got outside of his apartment and headed for Ponyville, looking for The Ponyville theater. He finds it eventually and heads inside sneaking into the bagstage so he can be one of the performers.

Moments later, all the performers got to perform and Feather Bangs was the last. But first the announcer steps in.

“Ladies and gentlecolts, we have one more contestant ready to be on stage. Please give it up for the one, the only, Feather Bangs.” She then realizes.” Wait?! Feather Bangs?!”

The audience look at each in confusion, knowing that the male celebrity quit. After the confusion, the curtains open revealing lights and smoke, there was a silhouette revealing Feather Bangs as he is coming towards the audience. There was a moment of silence before he started to sing his cover of “Cody Simpson - La da dee.”

As he continued singing, there was a pegasus similar to Songbird, that's actually because that was Songbird, she immediately approached the audience and was surprised to see Feather on stage, but that didn’t mean she was happy about, instead she felt a frown upon her face.

As the singer finished his song, he immediately went backstage with Songbird following suit. Feather started packing his stuff to leave, but as soon as he turned around, he noticed the female pegasus right in front of him, startling Feather a bit.

“Gyah! You scared me girl.”

“Well, my apologies, it’s just that, i thought we were gonna do a duet together.”

“Oh, hehehehehe, oops.”

“What? What happened?”

“Well, you see...um...i...uh.”

“Just spit it out Feather.”

“Ok, Ok, you see, ever since we hung out, i got my confidence back, and now I'm starting to feel comfortable in talking with women now.” Feather confessed.

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Well, because of you, I can have an easier time singing.”

Songbird was shocked to hear this. “So let me get this straight: You’ve been using me just to get your career back? But whatever happened to me saying that you were still cool even if you weren’t a musician?”

“Well i wouldn’t say used you, i’d say that you’ve helped me.”

“And now i regret it.” Said the pegasus glaring at Feather. “I thought we would become friends.”

“We were, it’s just that I've spent my whole life trying to get a girl to like me, it was the only way I could get my chance back up, because most of my songs are basically romance related.”

“So you care about your career more than you cared about me?!” Exclaimed Songbird knowing the answer. “I’m going home, have fun with your career.” She huffed as she storms out of Feathers sight.

Feather lets out a heavy sigh. “Dang it! What have I done?” He immediately walked out of the theatre in shame as he begins to sing another song to reflect on his behaviour. While doing that headed back to his apartment.

As he was finished, he received a call from Vinyl.

“Hey Feather, I know what happened, Songbird told us everything. But why did you do that?”

“Believe me, i didn’t want to do this either, but then my stupidity got the best of me, and i feel really dumb.”

“Hey, I know how it feels, Octavia and I nearly ended our friendship because I couldn't come to her concert for like the millionth time, but i decided to go to her anyways because it was my fault.”

“But what am i supposed to do? The girl clearly hates me now, and it’s too late!”

“Why can’t you tell her by song?”

“Because she wouldn’t buy it.”

“Then you need to surprise her then, by song. Do you know when her next concert is gonna be.”

“Um, actually, she was planning on Singing “Off to see the world” tommorow night at the Ponyville theatre.”

“Great, then you can meet up behind her pull the plug and then you and her can do a duet.”

“Wow...for a DJ like you, that is some great advice. Thanks Vinyl.”

“Well, Tavi and I nearly broke up more than once, but i get those ideas from myself and my other friends.”

“Cool, well i gotta go, I'll catch you later.”

“Cya.”

And with that he hung up, he started getting ready for bed, he turned off his lamp and tucked himself to sleep, sighing happily, knowing that he was gonna fix this.

The next night, Feather was getting ready for his next chance with Songbird This includes: brushing his teeth, putting on a black suit and combing his hair...again. He puts on his fancy boots and heads off outside.

The male pony arrived at Ponyville where he is looking for the ponyville theatre. He eventually finds it and sneaks inside to look for Songbird, who is singing on stage. Feather sneaks past the audience and heads up the stairs that leads to the back of the stage. He then notices some wires that powers the spotlights on to the front of the stage, he approaches them and pulls them off, the lights go off and the audience is getting confused as to what happened.

“Huh what’s going o-” Said Songbird before she gets interrupted by a echoe voice offscreen.

“Attention! Attention please! This is a message for all of you out there who have just ended a relationship. Sometimes, love is hard. But you can't just run away from it. When you start to have something special you have to work at it! Even though it might seem like the world is against you, you still have to hold on! With both hooves! Don't let society dictate who you can and can't be with.” Said the Voice revealing Feather Bangs as he darts his eyes towards the female singer. “Songbird, I love you babe. You can run all you want, try to pretend you like girls, but dang it, when we kiss there's magic! Don't let it go, Girl. I want to hold you every morning and love you every night, Songbird. I promise you nothing but love and happiness.” He said as he begins to sing for her.

As he finished the song, the audience begins to cheer as Songbird, with a surprised expression her face begins to notice Feather at the back of the stage and approaches him.

“Feather...” She said sternly.

“I know I made you mad and I can't undo it, and I'm sorry, but the least I could do was sing a song for with you, that way we'd both be even!” Feather said apologetically.

“What are you talking about?” Songbird said confusingly.

“Aren’t you mad?”

“Well, I was, but when I Heard your speech, it was amazing.”

“So we’re cool?”

“We’re cool.”

The two reconcile with a hug. A few moments later, they pulled themselves from the embrace.

“Hey, you wanna go to the arcade. There's a two-for-one deal tonight.” Feather Requested.

“I’d be insulted if I wasn’t invited.” Songbird agreed.

The two walk out of the theatre, holding hooves together.
