Chapters Soarin’s POV
I had just picked up Pizza for everyone. I was on my way back to the house stuck in traffic after a long wait, and constant requests for autographs.
‘I hate paparazzi sometimes!’ I thought as I drove back to the house I bought.
We had a spare bed, so my friend Spitfire suggested we bring along the captain of their high school team and went to Preschool with me. She's attending the Wonderbolts Academy. What was her name? RainbowBash. No, who would name their kid that? RainbowCrash. Ugh, now that’s just mean! I think it was...RainbowDash! Ya, much better than RainbowBash and RainbowCrash. We were good friends. She practically followed me everywhere.
***20 mins later***
I walked up to the door, and unlocked it, walking in with 13 different slices of pizza. Cause, of course, no one got the same type! I got everyone 2 slices of what they wanted, including Dash, I was told that she likes meatballs, onions, pepperoni, Spinige, and Mushroom. I just got a salad.
“Hey guys, I got Pizza!”
“Finally!” Fleetfoot whined.
As I passed them out, I couldn’t help but notice that RainbowDash wasn’t there yet.
“Hey, where’s the other girl? Did she not want to stay here?”
“Oh, she’s out on her porch,” Spitfire said.
“Ya, go say ‘Hi’. She’s been waiting for you!” Suprise said.
“Okay. Why does she want to see me? I’ve barely remembered her and she probably barely remembers me,” I said and started walking toward her room when Suprise stopped me before the door and said unusually quietly.
“Seriously?” Suprise said with a raised eyebrow. “You 2 were great friends and you haven't seen each other for years! Plus, you’re a famous pop star. Idiot!”
“OK, I get it!”
“You going to tell her?”
“The new girl? Tell her what?”
“No, silly. I was talking about Lightning Dust!”
“Oh. You know I’m too much of a coward.”
“I know,” she said, “But you owe it to Lightning Dust to not keep her waiting. Even if she is a jerk!”
“I know. I just don’t want to hurt her by saying ‘no’. What should I do?”
“I say, do what your heart says.”
“That’s the first time you’ve ever said something... So meaningful. Thanks, Suprise.”
“No Problem! Pizza Time!!!” She said bouncing away.
I opened the door to her room, and walked through, seeing a picture of her on her bedside table. She had nice magenta-colored eyes, rainbow hair and a skin tone similar to my baby blue skin. She was in a dress at a school dance or something. S-she looked like a Princess. I looked at another picture. In that one, she looked more like a tomboy. I think I’ll call her Princess, as a nickname. Maybe she’ll want to be friends!
“Hey, Princess, Pizza Here,”
RainbowDash’s POV
I looked up, 'Soarin Skies' on Youtube. I plugged in my headphones and listened to a song called, 'Hall of Fame', his most viewed.
As I listened I thought, 'This sounds similar to some of my songs. Now I remember him! In Preschool, I had a huge crush on him. I thought he was awesome then. Just a silly crush. Now, he's super tall, muscular, great voice, beautiful eyes, and h-he is so hot-' My thoughts were cut off by a voice.
“Hey, Princess, Pizza’s Here,” I heard the dreamy voice from the video say? Dreamy? Since when do I ever think anything is dreamy? Wait, Princess. Eh, I’ll let it go. It’s a cute nickname. Wait! Did I just think that?
I turned around to see a tall handsome dark blue-haired, light blue-skinned, green-eyed muscular handsome boy.
“S-Soarin Skies?” I said standing up and trying to go over to him but I tripped and fall. Yet I didn’t hit the ground. I hit... Oh no!
“Princess!!”
He had just rushed over and caught me. Oh no no no no no no... This can’t be happening! Please tell me no one saw that.
“Are you okay Princess?”
“I am now,” I said sounding lovestruck like Rarity after she meets any boy. ‘Why’d I say that?’
“Oh Good! I’m Soarin by the way. In case you don't remember me or haven't heard of me.”
‘Phew, he didn’t notice’
"I-I'm RainbowDash."
"I know. I remember you! We were good friends right?"
"Y-ya." 'Do I still like him?'
“S-so,” I begin, “Spitfire tells me your a singer now.”
“Wait, you didn’t know I’m famous?”
“I only found out today.”
“That’s wonderful!”
“I-uh... Wait, what?”
“I never find people who like me for me and not for my fame.”
“Oh, uh, right.”
“So. Hungry? I brought you 2 slice of pizza,” he said with a warming smile.
“I-I guess so.”
“Do you want me to get you your slices, I got your favorite.” Why does he have to sound so, so, so infatuating?! That means good right? Eh Probably.
“Uh Sure.” I replied, “How did you know my favorite type of Pizza?”
“Spitfire told me.”
“Oh.”
“Ok, I will be right back.”
“O-ok,”
Soarin’s POV
I stepped outside ready to call Lightning Dust and tell her that I don’t like her that way.
‘Ok Soarin, Play it cool, You’re Cool. I...'
“Hey, Soarin!”
“I’m Cool.” I’ll tell Lightning Dust later, not cool enough yet.
“Uh... Ok.” High Winds said.
I must have looked like a Strawberry because High Winds just started to laugh hysterically.
“I was just going to bring her pizza to her, that’s all.”
“Whatever Lover Boy.”
“What do you mean by, ‘lover boy’?” I asked angrily.
“Nevermind that.” she said, “I have it right here.”
“O-oh thanks.”
“Sure. So I assume you told Lightning that you don’t like her that way. OR even at all!”
“No. Wait, how did you know?”
“Suprise told me.”
“Ugh. Of course, she did!”
“You better tell her soon.”
“I will, I will.”
“Good! Cause I need her out of my life.”
I took the pizza and a water bottle from High and went back into Rainbow’s room.
“Hey Princess, here’s your pizza, and I got you a water bottle.”
“T-thanks, Soarin.”
High Wind’s POV
“Hey, Fleet, Spit, Suprise, Misty, Blaze, come here,” I said to my friends.
“What?” Blaze said annoyingly.
“Ooh, is it about RainbowDash and Soarin. I ship it! EEEEEEE!” Suprise and Fleetfoot said like fangirls, with sparkling eyes.
“Yes, and shh.”
We all went to the room to listen in. When we got there, all we heard was:
“Ohmigosh Omigosh Ohmisgosh!” from RainbowDash. What had she done?
“No worries, Dash, It’s just water.”
She didn’t.
“Let me get some towels.”
She did. Wait.
Before any of us could move out of the way, the door flung open and RD ran out into us.
“Ouch!” she said.
RainbowDash’s POV
“Thanks,” I said, taking the water from Soarin and dropping it right on him.
“Ohmigosh Omigosh Ohmisgosh.”
“No worries, Dash, It’s just water,” Soarin said to me with his enchanting smile, the smile that I love, a goofy, yet sincere grin. I mean I only have seen it for a few minutes, but I already love it.
“Let me get some towels.”
I rushed to the door, turned the handle, pulled and ran out, about 1 Foot before I ran into, them.
“Ouch!” I said, “What are you guys doing?”
“Uh, Dash we...” Fleetfoot began.
“I don’t care! Need to get towels!”
“I’ll get them.” Suprise said as she essentially teleported, she went so fast.
“Hey, Dash I heard a crash. Are you okay?” Soarin Said and froze.
“Oh, hey Soarin,” Fleetfoot said.
“What happened here?”
“Nothing.” High Winds said.
“If you say so.” He said taking the towels from a returning Surprise and went to his room.
Once I was sure he was gone I glared at my friends.
“What the heck guys?”
“Dash. W-we’re sorry, we just wanted to, uh help you,” Fleetfoot said as they all looked at the ground.
“Oh Ya, with what?” I asked still annoyed.
“Soarin, Duh!” Suprise said.
“W-what? I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I said.
“Your kidding right?” High Winds asked me, “It’s so easy to tell.”
“W-what?”
“Come on Dash, just tell us!” Fleet and Suprise practically glowed.
“F-fine!” I admitted defeat, “You caught me, Happy?”
“Delighted, Let us help.”
“Why are you wanting to help me so much?”
“No reason.”
“Uh...Okay.”
Lightning Dust’s POV
‘So RainbowDash thinks she can steal Soarin from me, huh? We well see about that.’

Soarin’s POV
“I’m open!” I yelled to my Quarterback, best friend, and bunkmate, Rapidfire, as I ran about 30 yards down the field during our first practice session. The ball was overthrown, so I put my foot in the ground and jumped as high as I could.
“What a catch, dude!” Windwalker said. He was guarding me one on one during practice. Our team was severely undermanned because everyone wanted to play for Manehatten, or Phillydelphia, our rivals. So each of us played both sides, making practice hard because we didn’t have everyone in at the same time. We did have a complete Offensive Line separate from our Defensive Line. That’s something, right?
“Thanks,” I said as Thunderlane helped me up.
We typically split into 2 teams 3 vs. 4 running routes 1 on 1. Rapid at quarterback with 3 options.
“How high can you jump?” FireStreak asked me.
“I can get four and a half feet off the ground.”
“Seriously?!” asked Thunderlane.
“They don’t call me ‘Soar’in for nothing!” I said, bragging just a little bit.
After practice, we went to get some Lunch. I was Starving!
Summer was going to be long and exhausting. We have Football on Monday, Soccer, and Basketball on Tuesday, Frisbee and baseball on Wednesday, Hockey and Swimming on Thursday, and Golf on Friday. The girls have cheerleading when we play Tackle football, they have Flag Football after our morning training session. On top of all that we have to go to the gym for at least 4 hours over the weekend. Lots of Sports and not a lot of time. Not to mention keeping up with my Band. I heard RainbowDash is in a band. She must know what it’s like to balance sports and music then too. Fortunately, we only play 2 sports during the school year. We’re all pretty much set on Football and Soccer.
“Hey guys, how’s it going,? Lightning Dust said walking up to me.
“Uh... Good.” I said suspiciously. Lightning Dust is never friendly to anyone but me.
“Awesome! Hey Soar, I need to talk to you.”
“Uh Okay,” I said as Thunderlane nudged me to go.
As I walked away I glanced at him.
He gave me the look of, ‘It’s now or never!’
RainbowDash’s POV
“Man I hate cheerleading! Why do I have to do it again?” I asked Fleetfoot.
“Because Coach said so.”
“Ya, but he’s not here so.”
“Well, Captain Spitfire said so too.”
“But, Rapidfire is a Captain too.”
“No, he’s the boy’s leader. Coach put them in charge, for the summer.”
“Ugh, Whatever! Where is she anyway?” I asked.
“Right... Here” she said looking wide-eyed at something.
“What are you looking at?” I asked.
Then I saw it, some yellow-haired girl kissing Soarin.
Before my friends could say anything else, I ran back to the locker room.
“Wait.” I heard, yet ignored High Winds call.
Soarin’s POV
“What do you want, Dust?” I said a little annoyed.
“Well I just wanted to do something,” she said grinning.
“Before you do, I need to answer your question,” I was cut off by her kissing me, right in front of, oh no, my Princess. Wait, why should she care who I kiss?
“I think I already know your answer,” she said.
“You clearly don’t” I replied immediately.
“W-What?”
“I was going to decline, okay?!”
“This is about RainbowDash, isn’t it?”
“No. It’s because I don’t like you that way.”
“But, I love you!”
“Sorry Dust. Feelings not mutual.”
“Are you kidding me?”
“Afraid Not, Sorry”
“Ugh! This is all RainbowDash fault!”
“I think you should leave.”
“Fine!” She said and ran away.
Suprise’s POV
I walked back to the locker room, with a sandwich for RainbowDash so she could have lunch. I pushed open the door to see a sad-looking rainbow-haired girl.
“Hey, Dash. I brought you a Sandwich.”
“Don’t want it.”
“Okay,” I said placing it next to her, " If you change your mind it’s right there,” I said pointing to it.
“Hey Dash, can I tell you a secret.”
“I guess.”
“Soarin didn’t kiss that girl, that girl kissed him.”
“Ya Right.” She said punching the air.
“No, it’s true,”
“How would you know.”
“Dash you should know by now that I have my ways.”
“You’re not just saying that to cheer me up, are you?”
“No way.”
“Whatever.”
“He’s been trying to let her down easy for weeks.”
“Really!?”
“Really. Plus he calls you Princess!”
“It probably doesn’t mean anything. How’d you know about that,” she looked at me with a raised eyebrow, “Right, you have your ways.”
“It might not, but you don’t know until you try.”
“Thanks, Suprise.”
“You Betcha.”
“I guess I’ll eat that sandwich.”
“Good! Once you’re done, let’s go back, the others already left.”

Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep
“Okay, I’m up,” I said half asleep and turned my alarm off. After snoozing 3 times I got up and realized what day it is.
“Aw Ya! I love Wednesday! Frisbee and Baseball! Can’t Wait!”
“Hey Crash!” Spitfire greeted me.
“I told not to call me that!” I shot back
“Ok, ok, I’ll stop,” she said putting her hands in the air.
“What do you want anyway?”
"Just wanted to know if you need help."
"With?"
"Soarin."
"W-what?"
"Suprise told me. Same feelings as Preschool."
“Whatever. How were you planning on helping with that?”
“I’m going to get you 2 together.”
“Oh no, you don’t need to do that.”
“As your captain, I demand to at least give you a suggestion.”
“F-fine,"
"Have you tried flirting?"
"I don't know how to flirt! I tried in Preschool."
"That was then this is now! I'm sure you can. You just need to gain some more confidence. Let me show you."
Soarin’s POV
Frisbee was a blast, but Dash didn’t seem to into it, even dropped a few passes, so unlike her. Wierd? I decided that I would go check on her. After all, what friends are for.
“Hey, Princess,” I greeted her.
“H-Hi,”
RainbowDash POV
I can’t believe I, Rainbow Daring Dash, dropped 4 passes in practice. Soarin’s starting to really distract me. Got to get him off of my mind.
“Hey, Princess.” He said as he walked up to me
Great! Say his name, I mean think his name, and he shall appear.
“H-Hi,” I said nervously.
‘Okay remember what Spitfire said to do.’
“Hey, you goof, what brings you here?”
“Uh, just wanted to make sure you're okay.”
‘Dang it, Spitfire’s Right, boys are dumb. He didn't even notice!’
“O-Oh, ya that, I’m fine, just tired. Didn’t sleep well.”
‘Then again, I am too!’
“Anything I can do to help?”
“N-no thanks, I think I can manage.”
"Are you sure?"
"Y-Yes!" I practically screamed.
"Ok Dash. If you change your mind, I'm here to help. I'm your friend."
He started to leave.
"Wait!"
"What?"
"I just wanted to ask a question."
"Sure, anything for you Princess."
"Why do you call me 'Princess'?"
"Oh, that!" He began, "A few reasons actually. I saw your picture of you on your nightstand in that nice dress and thought you looked like a Princess. Plus, my mom use to call me a Prince and you kind of remind me of her."
I didn't know what to say. Did the boy I like, like me or is he just trying to be friendly?
"We are friends from PreK too. Also, it's part of my charm," he said with a goofy grin.
"Oh, I see."
"Why do you ask? Do you not like it?"
"No, I love it!"
"Cool," he said with a smile.
'It's just him being nice.'
"If you want, you can give me a nickname," he said smiling, "In preschool, you used to call me 'Tiger'! My favorite animal."
"I did!?"
"Yep!"
"Tiger it is then."
"Oh ya just so you know, I'm making burgers for dinner."
"Cool"
“Alright, see you later then.”
"Ya. Bye Soarin."

Soarin’s POV
“Finally, Football time,” I yelled and ran out the door toward the field.
“Wait up,” Firestreak said behind me.
20 mins later, we were running a standard play and I had a pass over the middle. It was a little high, Someone, ran into my legs, I flipped over. I fell to the ground, landed awkwardly, mad at myself for not catching it. Then a sharp pain stung in my left foot.
“Aaaaauuuggghhhh,” I groaned in pain.
“Oh my gosh, Soarin!” LightningStreak said.
“I’m so sorry. I didn’t me too.” Thunderlane said.
“Not your fault, it’s mine.” Rapidfire said, “I threw a Bad Pass, “You need to go to the hospital. Now!”
“H-hospital.” I bolted up and immediately fell back down. I HATE hospitals!
“Sorry Soarin, but you need to go to the hospital. You may have broken your leg or torn an ACL or Muscle. Or Worse!”
“No way!”
“Please.”
“No!”
“I know you hate hospitals but-”
“I’m Fine!” I lied.
“Come on, bro.” Rapid pleaded again, “If you get more hurt, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself.”
“O-ok,” I said, “Someone has to go with me. I can’t walk.”
“Well we’re not allowed to leave but I think I know who can,” he said with a nice smile.
RainbowDash’s POV
“Ugh,” I groaned as we finished cheerleading practice.
“What’s the matter Rainbow? Afraid Soarin won’t like the skirt?” Fleetfoot mocked me.
“W-What? Shut up!” I angrily shot back.
“Whatever you say!”
“Let’s go watch the guys practice after we go shower,” Spitfire suggested.
“Ok,” we all said.
The boys had practice from 8 to 12, we had cheerleading practice from 8 to 10 and Girl’s flag from 4:30 to 6:30.
***30 mins later***
We had just finished our showers and were walking toward the football field. Fortunately, we didn’t have to deal with a coach, because of something along the lines of ‘listen to the team captain’. In our case, that’s Spit and Rapid.
When we got there, I saw the most horrifying thing ever. Soarin was being helped to the car, favoring his left leg.
“Omigosh! What happened?!” I said, freaking out.
“Hospital Pass,” Rapidfire said, looking at the ground.
“For the last time, Rapid, I forgive you. I know you didn’t do it on purpose. I’ll be fine,” Soarin said.
“I know bro. I just hate to see you hurt!”
Rapidfire pulled me, and the girls aside, “Can you guys take him to the hospital?” He said handing Spit the keys to the car, “I got to get back to practice.”
“Sure!” Suprise said, “Oh you poor baby, did you get a boo-boo?”
“Ugh, cut it out, Suprise. I’m fine! It’s probably nothing bad,” He said not sounding too confident in his response.
“Okay, RD, Fleet, Surprise, and I will take you to the hospital, High, Blaze, and Misty, you guys can go home, or watch the guys practice. DISMISSED!” Spitfire ordered as if we were in the army.
“Uh, Spit, you know, practice is over right,” High Winds said with a raised eyebrow, “No need to yell.”
“You know Spit, she loves yelling,” Soarin said
“Right, Right. See you later, and feel better Soar.”
“I plan to,” he said confidently.
Fleetfoot’s POV
“So Soarin. What actually happened?” I asked out of curiosity.
“Oh, I just went up for a pass that was too high, and flipped over Thunder and landed on my leg awkwardly.”
“Ouch!” Suprise said, “Guess it was more than a ‘Boo-boo’ then?” quoting her earlier question only used to taunt Poor Soarin.
“I guess you could say that,” He said.
“Alright, we’re here,” Spitfire, who was driving said.
We helped Soarin into the emergency room and waited in the waiting room in silence.
***10 mins later***
He came out of the room with a brace on his leg and a sad look on his face.
“Soar, what’d they say?” Spitfire asked.
“I-I broke my foot,” He said looking down.
“OMG, your ‘Boo-boo’ is more like a, a, a... I got nothing.” Suprise said.
“Ya.”
“So how long can’t you play?” I asked.
“I can’t practice until school starts, at the earliest. Plus I have to wear this for a while!”
“If there’s anything we can do, let us know, okay?” Spitfire said.
“Thanks, Spit.”
“Hey, Dash, Soarin’s out,” I called out to Rainbow.
“H-hey T-T-T-Tiger, I-I’m g-glad y-your o-okay,” she said shyly, stumbling over every word, especially over his nickname. I mentally slapped my face.
“Thanks, Princess,” He said with a dorky smile. What an idiot. ‘Princess!’ and ‘Tiger’. Are you kidding me!? Another slap to the face. No one calls someone ‘Princess’ when their just friends! If these idiots keep this up, I’ll have a mental Concussion! Wait, that doesn’t make any sense!
“Let’s go back to practice.”
“Okay let’s go...” Soarin began before forgetting about his boot and crutches and falling right onto his face, “OW.”
“Omigosh, Soarin!” Suprise yelled, “Let me help you!”
“No, I got this.” Soarin said, “Just got to learn how to walk on 1 leg and crutches. Easy Peasy Right?”
He fell about 3 times rejecting our help. What an idiot.

It had been a few weeks since Soarin broke his foot. According to Fleetfoot, he has always been stubborn and he doesn't accept help from anyone.
"So, Dash looking forward to your sleepover?" Spit asked me.
"Of course, I miss the Rainbooms, my parents, and Scootaloo so much! Not that I don't love being here too. It's just, you know..."
"Tiring," she finished for me.
"Ya."
"You're leaving today after practice, right?" she asked.
"Ya."
"Watch Fireworks?"
"Ya."
"Eat Sugar?"
"Ya."
"Dream about your 'Tiger'?" she teased.
"Ya. Wait! What? No. I-I. Okay, Maybe," I said with glowing red cheeks.
"Chill, I was just joking."
"How'd you know about that?"
"Good memory."
"Right."
'Does everyone know?'
"So is everyone going back to their families?" I asked.
"Ya, all but Soarin."
"Why isn't he going?"
"Well, he wanted to take care of the place while we're gone."
"It's only a weekend and he can barely walk with that stupid boot!"
"You know him. He's super stubborn. Acts like it's not even there."
"Why doesn't he go to his family?"
"You should ask him about that, it's not my place to tell you."
"Uh, Okay."
Soarin's POV
I was getting ready for practice when RainbowDash walked in.
"H-hey, Tiger."
"Oh. Hey, Princess. Need something?"
"I-I just wanted to ask why you weren't going home for the 4th of July?"
"Well because someone needs to take care of the place, right?"
"Come on, Tiger. I know that's not the only reason."
"What are you talking about?"
"Soarin. I know your lying."
"Fine. H-How did you know that?"
"Spit told me there's 'more', but to ask you what that 'more' is."
"Okay," I began, "I don't actually have anyone to go back to."
"What?! W-why not?"
"My parents died 6 years ago in a plane crash. They were going to one of my concerts."
"I had no idea. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have asked. Your parents must have been really great people."
"It's okay. I guess I should have told you sooner and yes they were awesome. I guess I just don't like to talk about it."
"If I may ask, Why not?"
"I guess I blame myself for it."
"How is it your fault?"
"They were coming to see me perform. They died to see a meaningless concert!" I yelled in frustration. I stopped when RainbowDash jumped, "Sorry, Princess. Lost my cool there for a second."
"It's alright. W-would you like to come with me to Canterlot? You could stay with me and my family. We have a guest bedroom. I-it would be a lot of fun."
"I couldn't just impose on you and your family!"
"I already asked them, they said the more the merrier. Plus, my parents are huge fans!" I chuckled a little, "The only thing is I have a sleepover at Pinkie's tonight, so you would have to just hang out at my house. So would you like to?"
"I would love to, Thanks!"
"A-awesome, you won't regret it, my mom is a great cook!"
"Maybe I can help her, I actually love cooking after all!"
"Oh, she would love that. I'm sure my dad will love your cooking. He loves food."
"Cool and Princess?"
"Y-yes, Tiger?"
"Thanks. I really appreciate it."
"Anything for a friend."
"You're the best Princess!" she blushed.
"We'll leave 2 hours after practice. So get packed up." She said to me.
"Okay," I started to get up and fell on my face. Stupid Boot.
"Omigosh, Soarin."
"I'm fine Princess. I hate this stupid boot."
"Let me help."
"Okay." Why'd I let her help? I never let anyone help me. It makes me feel weak. I know I'm stubborn, don't judge me!
RainbowDash’s POV
“All right sleepy head!” I said to Soarin as we pulled up to my house, “We’re here.”
“Huh. Oh, hey Princess!” he said still half asleep.
It was when he opened his green eyes that I remembered who it was. I got really nervous, again.
“H-hey,”
“Uh, what were you saying?”
“Oh. Just that we’re here.”
“O-oh, cool.”
We walked up to my door, rung the doorbell, and my parents opened the door.
“Dashie, you’re home!” my dad said tearing up.
“Hi mom, hi dad.”
“Hey, Dashie, I missed you so much!”
“Mom, it’s only been 3 weeks.”
“But, it’s felt like 3 years!”
“Okay, okay, mom. I need to breathe,” I said pulling away.
“Oh, Soarin, glad you could come. It’s really nice to meet you. I’m a huge fan!” my mom turned to Soarin.
“Yes, Princess told me,” he said handing her a signed album of his songs.
“Wow, thank you,” she said super excited, “Who’s Princess?”
“Oh, Princess, is my nickname for Rainbow. She calls me ‘Tiger’.”
“How sweet.”
“Yes, Dashie talks about you all the time...” my dad began before I covered his mouth.
“W-what?!”
“Oh, he was just saying, that I talk about the team a lot,” I said glaring at my dad, “Right Dad?”
“Yes of course.”
"You went to Dashie Preschool right?"
"Yep."
"I think I remember you. Dashie said-"
I had to cover his mouth again, "That we were great friends!"
“Right. Anyway, I really appreciate you allowing me to stay here for the weekend.”
“Of course, you’re family now.” my mom said.
“W-what?”
“Oh, Nothing!”
“Mom!”
“Sorry ‘Princess’,” she said with a smirk.
‘Ugh, good thing Spitfire said Soarin is still oblivious.’ I said to myself.
After my parents embarrassed me again, I pulled them aside and told them: “Mom, Dad, you can’t embarrass me infront of Soarin, Please!”
“Okay, Honey,” My mom said, “We know how much you like him!”
“What, how did you-”
“We’re your parent’s Dash!” My Dad said, “It’s our job to know that kind of stuff. Plus, you make it really obvious that you still like him.”
“So you knew in the 5 minutes you talked to him!”
“No, It’s just that, you wouldn’t take home any boy.”
“W-Whatever.”
I then showed Soarin to his room, said he could walk down the street to the coffee shop, stay here and play video games, or help my mom cook. I was really hoping that he would choose to go to the coffee shop.
“Uh, thanks Princess, I guess I’ll go cook. Not much of a video game person, and I’d rather just stay here.”
“But your foot.”
“I don’t know how you cook, but I usually use my hands, not my feet,” He said jokingly with another dorky grin.
“Oh. I knew that.”
“I know, just messing with you!” He said lightly punching me in the arm. “Besides I got a boot, I can stand on it, just can’t run or walk fast.”
“Right.”
“Have fun Ok?”
“O-ok.”
“See you tomorrow, Princess!”
“Bye, Tiger!”
***20 mins later***
“Mom, Dad, Rarity’s here to pick me up!” I shouted so my parents could hear me.
“Okay, hun, have fun!” my mom said from the kitchen.
“Give your mom a kiss before you go!” my dad said, despite the fact that I hardly ever do that.
“Ugh... Okay.” I groaned as I walked over to my mom to find Soarin wearing an Apron while helping my mom cook. He looked ridiculous but also cute. Wait, I don’t do cute!
Soarin just stood there smiling while I hugged my mom and gave her a kiss on the cheek. He probably thought I’m an idiot.
I walked out and stepped into Rarity’s Limozime. Cause, of course, she decided to bring that. All my friends but Pinkie were in the Limo, talking.
“Hey, Dash!” Sunset began, “How’s Training going?”
“Great!” I began, “But my friend broke his foot.”
“Oh, No! Which friend?”
“Soarin. I went to Preschool with him.”
“Wait you mean, the Soarin Skies?” Rarity yelled.
“Ya. What about him?”
“He’s the most dreamy, most handsome, kindest, most awesome, cutest, most adorable, lovely, sexy boy in the world!”
“Uh.”
The 5 of them fangirled for about 45 painfully long seconds.
“Ya, he landed on his foot wierd in practice.”
“Oh my Godness Darling,” Rarity practically fainted, “That’s utterly dreadful.”
“Is he okay? If you don’t mind me asking,” Fluttershy said shyly.
“He’s fine,” I said, “He’s actually staying with me and my parents for the weekend.”
“REALLY!?!?” They all said in unison. I hate it when they do that!
“Ya. He had nowhere to go, so I asked my parents and they said they’d love him to come, and he agreed to. He’s helping for tomorrow’s dinner, he’s a great cook!”
“Well, I’m glad you took him in,” Twilight said.
“Well Twilight, you clearly wouldn’t understand why she did,” Rarity said.
“Come Again Rarity?” Applejack said.
“It’s because he’s super hot!” Rarity replied with a smile on her face. My face turned a new shade of red. I looked out the window. Fortunately, no one saw because they were too caught up with Rarity’s comment.
“Don’t tell me you don’t think he is.”
I saw Applejack and Fluttershy blush. They couldn’t, could they?
“Maybe Ah do, so what?” Applejack spat back.
“He would never choose a farm girl like you over a perfect girl like me!” Rarity said as we arrived at Pinkies House.
“Excuse me!” Applejack said.
“G-girls,” Fluttershy said in a hushed voice.
“You heard me.”
“Girls,” Shy said a tiny bit louder.
“Well, Soarin would never except your up-tight, over the top personality such as yourself.”
“Girls,”
“How Dare you!”
“GIRLS!” Fluttershy yelled and everyone looked.
“Thank you. I like him too but we can’t lose our friendship because 4 of us like the same guy.”
“You’re right Fluttershy.” Rarity was the first to speak, “Sorry Applejack, I think I only liked him for his looks anyway. And his money.”
“Ya, Ah apologies too,” Applejack said, “To be honest, Ah really never met him, just liked his muscles and music I guess.”
“I also am sorry for yelling,” Fluttershy said, “I think it’s his kindness that I liked. Also, I was in your Preschool class too.”
“What about you Dash?” Twilight asked.
“W-What?” I stumbled over my words, as the reddest blush replaced my normal blue colored face.
“We all know you like him!” Sunset began, “It’s obvious, like me with Flash, Twilight with Timber, and Pinkie with Cheese!”
“W-what?”
“It’s quite obvious darling!”
"How?!"
"Well, you took home a boy-"
“F-fine, it’s the fact that he calls me Princess, and he was super kind to me when we first met.”
“You let him call you Princess?”
“Ya. He even paid for the whole house.”
“Mighty kind of him. I guess I’m slightly jealous.”
“Me too.”
“Me Three.”
“What?”
“Clearly you two are meant to be together, Darling.”
“Yes, Ah reckon Rarity is right.”
“You would make a cute couple,” Fluttershy added.
“But I thought you guys...”
“We do, but not like you do, darling,” Rarity said, “Plus I like every boy I meet.”
“Especially Fancy,” Applejack teased.
“Oh, ya! What about Caramel?” Applejack blushed.
Fluttershy put a hand on my shoulder, “Let me tell you a secret,” she began, “I have a more genuine crush on Discord.”
“Really?”
"Ya," she said shyly.
“Anyways Darling, our point is you two are long-time friends, and we’re just fans. I mean you did follow him everywhere.”
"How did you know that!? You weren't even there!"
"Spitfire texted me earlier."
"I'm going to destroy her!"
“Now that we know, we’re going to help you impress him! Now let’s go inside!” Pinkie Pie said as we went up to the door!
We headed inside Pinkie’s room and changed into our pajamas.
“I was going to try Truth or Dare after this to get that out of you, but it seems we don’t have to,” Sunset said, "Tomorrow we'll help you to impress him!"
“You guys are the worst,” I began, “But also the best! Thanks for helping me out!”
“No problem Dash,” Twilight said.
“We’re going to make you look absolutely stunning for Tomorrow.”
‘What did I just get myself into.’ I thought.
“But I do want to meet him, Darling. I am a fan.”
“Ah do two.”
“Me Three,” Fluttershy said.
“Okay, Okay. I’ll introduce you someday.”
“That’s all I ask, Darling.”
“But tonight lets Party.” Pinkie said, shooting a confetti cannon at us.
“Pinkie!” We all shouted.

"Dash, Wake up. Dash. Dash. DAAAAASHHHH!" Pinkie screamed to wake me and the rest of the girls up.
"Ugh. Pinkie." I groaned, "I'm up! I'm up! Pinkie get off me!"
"Only if you promise to come with me and do anything we say!"
"I promise, just get off!"
"Pinkie Promise?!"
"Ugh!" I groaned, "Do I have to?"
"Yes."
"Fine! Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye. Happy?"
"Good."
"Okay, here's the plan: Rarity's going to give you a makeover, I'll help you learn how to be more positive about what he likes, Sunset will help you with talking to him, Twilight will help you with manners, Fluttershy will help you with not being sarcastic and moody."
"Hey," I interrupted.
"Sorry, but you know it's true."
"And Applejack will, uh, do, um, something."
"Ah'll help you with one of his interests. Uh, what is he interested in other than what you're interested in?"
"Uh, he likes cooking, I guess."
"Perfect."
"Let's start with manners," Pinkie suggested.
"Okay, Twilight, yer up!" Applejack said.
"Great, let's get started," Twilight said.
Twilight's POV
"Alright, RainbowDash," I began, "I need to see where we are, so eat up, "
"Okay," Rainbow said as she ate with absolutely no manners.
"Rainbow, when you eat, even pancakes, you want to use your knife and fork," I said like it was obvious, which it was, "Not all at once. It's not very ladylike."
"But, Soarin doesn't care..."
"PINKIE PROMISE!" Pinkie Pie appeared behind her back reminding her of her promise with a threatening yet quiet tone.
"Ugh, fine!"
It took us an hour to finally get Rainbow to perfect her technique.
"That was perfect!" I said, "Only took an hour."
"What can I say, I'm a fast learner!" she said in a very cocky tone.
"Whatever," I said, "Fluttershy will now teach you how to control your cockiness."
Fluttershy's POV
"Alright, RainbowDash," I said, "I want you to respond to this question."
"Okay, I can do that!"
"Who is the best on your team?"
"ME!"
"That's our problem."
"What is?"
"You brag too much."
"Do not!" she said defensively.
"Sorry, but it's true, and boys don't like it when you're too pushy."
"Fine, what should I say then?"
"You just need to not make everything about yourself."
"Okay, I can do that."
"I'll ask again," I said, "Who is the best on your team?"
"I think that it's a team effort."
"Much Better! What are you best at?"
"I don't know, what about you?"
"I think you're getting the idea."
"Who's awesome? I'm awesome! Who's awesome, You're Awesome!"
"I think you're starting to figure it out."
We spent around 30 minutes practicing, she passed everyone. I thought that bringing in someone else would help, so we tried on the others.
Sunset's POV
"Alright Rainbow, we'll stay on the topic of conversation, we'll practice talking to him."
"I can do that," she said sounding only 20% confident, "Never bothered me before."
"Sure. Alright, pretend that I'm Soarin," I held up a picture of Soarin in front of me and did my best Soarin impersonation, "Hey Princess. What's up?"
"H-hi Soarin," I-uh not much."
"You can do better than that!"
"I mean, nothing! How about you?"
"Better! But it could use some work."
We spent around an hour like that. I noticed that when it was about him it was harder, when it was about other things, it was easier.
"Alright, may need to work on talking when it's about him."
"O-okay."
"But a major improvement!"
"Thanks!"
Pinkie Pie's POV
"Okay. What are we doing, Pinkie Pie?" Rainbow asked me.
"Easy, I need you to act positively when I talk about what I like."
"Ok."
"Cakes, Pie, Cookies, Milkshakes, Cream Puffs, Donuts, Smoothies, Brownies, Chocolate, Candy..." I continued listing things over and over again for a few minutes.
"Uh, Cool."
"You can do better than that Dashie."
"Don't call me that."
"Why? Soarin calls you Princess all the, ooohhhhh," I said with a devilish smile, "Only he can call you that."
"So what?"
"Nothing now let's try again."
I began listing everything again, still sounded board, again, board, again, board, again, board. Until she finally had a response that sounded semi-interested. Still needs work. We continued for a few more minutes until it was perfect.
"Perfect!" I said, "Now Applejack will help you learn how to bake a pie for him."
"W-what? I don't know how to cook!"
"That's why she's going to help you, silly!"
Applejack's POV
"Alright RD," I said, "Let's get started!"
"Okay,"
"Alright I'll make one, you watch, then read the instructions, and then you'll try," I said, "Can you handle that?"
"Of Course I can!"
"Good."
I made an Apple Pie explaining each step as I went, quizzed her and then had her try. Her first attempt was bad, second was also bad, third, fourth, fifth, and on the sixth, she actually got it. I was shocked.
"Wow, RD! You are a quick learner."
"Thanks! I had a great teacher."
"Sounds like Fluttershy's training worked," I said, "We'll go and try on Rarity's dress, while I put this down to cool."
"Ok."
Rarity's POV
"Hey, Rarity! Is it ready?"
"Almost, Darling!" I said, "and the last stitch. Done! What do you think?"
"It's actually... perfect!" she said, "Thanks Rarity."
"Anytime Darling. Now we need to get your makeup on so you can get home for dinner."
"Let's get this over with."
"Before we start. Say it!"
"What?"
"You know!"
"Ugh. Make... Me... Pretty." She said quietly.
"Louder Darling!"
"Make me Pretty."
"I can't hear you, Darling!"
"Make me Pretty!"
"One more time!"

It took an hour of telling her to stop moving and her saying it itches or she needs to move.
"You look marvelous, Darling! And I didn't put too much on just like you asked."
"Thanks, Rarity," she said, "Lookin good."
"No problem!"
RainbowDash POV
We were on the way to my house for dinner with my mom and parents.
"I just wanted to thank you, girls, for all the help!"
"Of course, you would do the same!" Sunset said.
"Anytime Dash," Applejack said.
"Have fun Rainbow!" Pinkie shouted as I got out of Rarity's Limo.
"Bye RD, see you tomorrow, let us know how it goes," Twilight said.
"Yes Darling, I need to hear all the gossip!"
"Rarity!!!" Everone said.
"Oh, sorry!"
"No problem Rarity," I said, "I owe it to you anyway. And yes you can meet him."
"EEEEEE!" she squealed.
Time for my Date, I mean Dinner, with Tiger, I mean Soarin, oh and my parents. No problem. Then why am I nervous.
Bow Hothoof's POV
"Dinner!" my wife said from the kitchen.
"Rainbow's not here yet!" I said.
Knock Knock
"Oh speak of the devil," I said.
When I opened the front door, I was shocked as to what I saw.
"Why are you dressed like that Rainbow?"
"You know why," she told me. It was for Soarin.
"Oh, I think I can help."
"How?"
"You'll see!"
Windy Whistle's POV
"Thank you for your help Soarin!" I told my future Son in Law, I mean daughters, boyfriend, I mean Crush. I'm getting ahead of myself.
"No problem, Ms. Whistles!"
"Please call me Mom, I mean Windy! Windy." I corrected myself.
"Okay."
"Anyway, I'll help you to the table."
I helped him to the table only to see my daughter in a dress and makeup.
I then saw my husband wink as he said, "Windy, I got a call from work, we need to go now."
"Oh no, guess you 2 will have to stay here, alone!" I said incredibly sarcastic, knowing that Soarin would be oblivious to it.
Rainbow gave me a look that said, 'DON'T YOU DARE LEAVE ME'
"That's okay, I hope everything goes well," Soarin said.
"You 2 have fun."
"Wait!" Rainbow said too late as we shut the door.
With that Bow and I left and went out by ourselves, leaving my daughter's fate in her own hands.
Soarin's POV.
'Wierd I thought they had the day off, and worked at separate jobs. Oh well, more for me and My Princess, I guess.'
"Well, shall we?" I said to Dash.
"U-uh Ya."
"You okay Princess?" I asked, "I'm sure it's nothing to bad."
"I know it's nothing."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Oh, just that their boss probably just wants them to check on something."
"Should we wait?"
"No, I mean, don't want it to get cold."
"Right, We'll save some for them."
"Ya."
***10 minutes later***
RainbowDash's POV
We had been in awkward silence, disregarding the chewing sounds.
"Hey, Princess."
"Ya?"
"Couldn't help but notice that you dressed up."
"Oh, just wanted to look nice."
He started to laugh.
"Don't laugh, I just."
"Sorry, Princess! Just never thought I'd see you in anything like that. Spitfire told me you're not into Girly stuff"
"Oh."
"You don't need to impress me just because I'm famous, you're my friend."
"But, Princesses are supposed to be pretty."
"I call you Princess, because of your inner beauty, not outer. I think you're more of a Warrior Princess!"
"Come again."
"The usage of the correct forks, the dress, the makeup, the napkin on your lap, and the posture. It's not like you Princess. You have a beautiful personality."
"Oh, sorry." There goes my day of training.
"No need to apologize. I just wanted to let you know that you're beautiful without the dress and makeup. That kind of stuff isn't for me anyway."
"Thanks, Tiger," I said as I punched him in the arm.
"Now there's the RainbowDash that I know and love."
"Y-you love me."
"Sure, I love all my friends, Princess."
"Oh, ya friends."
We had casual, normal, RainbowDash and Soarin talk, for the rest of dinner. We made jokes and laughed. He called me Princess. I called him Tiger. Why do I love when he does that so much? It was great and a nice change of pace from my normal nervous behavior when I'm around him. I just couldn't get his comment of 'just a friend' from before out of my head.
"Anyway's let me clean up!" he said, falling on his face as he tried to get up.
I laughed so hard.
"What's so funny Princess?"
"The look on your face!"
"You try walking with a boot on your leg, that has a broken foot inside!"
"Fair point."
I helped him up and said, "Let's clear the table together."
"I thought I said to be yourself, Princess."
"Shut up!"
"Just kidding."
We cleared the table and I helped him up the stairs to the guest bedroom where we had a TV. I made him play video games with me. I won every time.
"Man, you're good at this Princess," he said.
"I know," I replied, "Do you want to stop?"
"I'm fine with whatever."
"Okay, how about we change games?"
"Okay."
We played games for a while, he still didn't win but I think he was having fun watching me win. When my parents got home, we went to bed. I'd say overall it was a good day. I can talk to him without stuttering now. Well, at least less stuttering.

RainbowDash's POV
I was waiting at a coffee shop for my friends thinking about last night.
"Darling! How did it go last night?" I heard a voice belonging to Rarity say as they walked in.
"Oh, Hey guys!" I replied, "The plan didn't work out, but I think it went better anyways!"
"What do you mean?" Twilight asked me.
"Well, all the things you guys helped me with weren't necessary."
"How come?" Sunset asked.
"Well, Soarin noticed that I tried to change, and told me to be myself and that impressing him wasn't necessary."
"Well darling, while I'm disappointed that all that work meant nothing, I think that's wonderful!"
"How come?" I asked.
"Because he likes you for you!" Pinkie Pie said excitedly.
"I don't know, all we did was talk and play video games," I responded, "He acted like we were just friends the whole night. He even said so."
"But, did ya start to feel more comfortable around him?" Applejack asked.
"Yes."
"Then Ah'd say that's a win."
"But he thinks we're just friends."
"Yet, now your more comfortable!" Sunset said, "Before you could barely get a word out to him."
"I guess."
"And now you two can grow closer and closer until he falls for you. If he hasn't already." Pinkie said.
"You'll see RD!" Applejack said, "I think it's just a matter of time."
"Thanks, Girls!"
"Anytime," Twilight said.
"Just remember, I, I mean we, get to meet him someday!"
"I know, I know," I said rolling my eyes.
After that conversation, we went back to Pinkie's house and hung out and talked about their love lives, so I could tease them about it like how they teased me. I then had to say goodbye until Thanksgiving.
"That's so long from now!" Pinkie Pie practically screamed.
"Ya but, the Wonderbolts Academy doesn't give me any more time off until that," I replied.
"We'll miss ya!" Applejack said.
"Goodbye girls!" I said, "We'll still keep in touch over the phone."
"Oh ya, right."
"Goodbye Rainbow!" Twilight said.
"I'll miss you!" Fluttershy said.
"Make sure to call every now and then!" Sunset said.
"I will!" I said as we shared a group hug.
"Good luck with you Prince, Darling!" Rarity said.
"Prince?"
"He calls you 'Princess', does he not?"
"He does, but how did you know?"
"You told us."
"I prefer to call him Tiger, not Prince."
After I said goodbye to the girls, I went to go say hi to Scootaloo and kick the ball around with her for a few hours before I went back. First I had to go home, get Soarin, say goodbye to my parents and pack.
Soarin's POV
After last night, I think I may have developed a crush on RainbowDash.
"Hey Tiger, You packed?" I heard RainbowDash say as she came into the guest bedroom snapping out of my daydream.
"Yep!" I responded.
"Good! Once I finish packing, we can go."
"Alright."
***A few minutes later***
"Alright, let's go."
"Uh, Princess."
"What?"
"Aren't you forgetting something?"
"Don't worry, Fluttershy is taking care of Tank."
"No, I meant your parents."
"Oh, right."
"Bye Mom, Bye Dad!" she said and hugged her parents.
"Goodbye Dashie," her dad said, "and good luck!"
"I love you sweetheart!" her mom said.
"Love you too Mom!"
"Bye Mr. Hothoof, Ms. Whistles!" I said as something really unexpected happened. They hugged me. ME! Why me?
"Bye Soarin, it was lovely having you here!" her mom said.
"You're always welcome to come again!" her dad said.
"Of course, but I should be thanking you for letting me stay!" I said.
"Anytime dear!" her mom replied.
We left the house a little early so we could visit her mentee, Scootaloo. Rainbow's told me a lot about her.
RainbowDash's POV
We drove over to the treehouse where Scootaloo usually hangs out. There I saw her ready to play.
"Hey Tiger," I said with no studders.
"What's up Princess?"
"There's a bench over there if you want to sit there," I said, "Unless you want to wait in the car."
"Oh thanks, Princess!" he said, "Can I meet Scootaloo first?"
"Sure!" I said, "She's a big fan of yours!"
"Really?"
"Ya, when I told her about you, she screamed! She loves you."
"How come?"
"She never told me. Probably the music."
'Why did she like him that much and never tell me? I'll have to ask.'
"Hey, RainbowDash!" Scootaloo said as she ran up to me and gave me a hug.
"Hey, Squirt, ready to play?"
"I was born ready!"
"Great, but first I'd like you to meet someone,"
"Who?"
I pointed to Soarin and said, "This is Soarin."
"OMG. I'm actually talking to the Soarin Skies!" my young Protege said in a very excited tone.
"Nice to meet you, Scootoloo!" he said holding his hand out and squatting. Scootaloo isn't very tall so he had to make himself shorter in order to shake hands, "I heard that you're a big fan of mine."
"Yep! I've seen all your football games and heard all your music! I listen to it on the way to school every day!" she said, "I want to jump as high as you can!"
"With enough practice kid, I think you can do anything you set your mind to."
"But, I'm not tall enough," she said looking at the ground.
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll hit your growth spurt," he said while putting his hand under her chin and pulling her head up, "Keep your head high!"
"Really? Well I be 6 feet tall and have hands of Glue?"
"You might, but in the meantime, I would try some of these," he handed her a book titled, 'Wide Receivers 101', "I used it went I started out."
"OMG! I just got a training book from a living legend."
"Hey, I thought I was a living legend!" I said
"There can be more than one legend," she responded.
"Oh. Right. I knew that."
"Anyways, try some of those and I believe your catch like me and my Princess!"
"Princess?"
"Yes, just a nickname."
"O-oh," she said puzzled.
"I call him Tiger."
"Oh, cool."
"Anyway, kid. When I come back next time. I bet you'll be way better!"
"Thanks, Soarin, and uh. What happened to your leg?"
"I uh, landed on it wierd during practice and broke my foot."
"OMG, are you okay?"
"Yep, just can't practice until School starts in August. It's also hard to walk."
"So, you can't play with us."
"Sorry, Scoots. No can do. Maybe next time!"
"That's alright. I still have my big sister to play with."
"You didn't tell me you had a sister."
"Oh. She's not my real sister. We just consider each other as sisters."
"I understand," he said, "Have fun!"
"Will do!" I said, "Ready Scoots?"

Soarin's POV
I watched them play and have fun for about an hour. It was nice to see RainbowDash come out of her shell.
"Hey, Princess!" I yelled, "We may have to go soon, it's getting dark."
"Alright, sorry Scoots." She said.
"It's okay. You'll visit at Thanksgiving right?"
"Of course!"
"Will Soarin be there?"
"If my Princess is okay with it, then yes," I said, "Hey kid where'd you get those?" I pointed at her gloves.
"From RainbowDash, but their too big."
"I'm sure you'll grow into them."
"Are you sure?"
"Ya, Princess isn't really that tall, and therefore has small hands," she elbowed me in the stomach, "I'm kidding."
Scootaloo giggled at Rainbow's attack.
"Plus remember what I said about Growth Spurts."
"Thanks, Mister Skies."
"Please call me Soarin, or Soar."
"Thanks, Soarin!"

It's been 6 weeks, 6 weeks of trying to tell him how I feel, 6 weeks of giving off not so subtle hints, 6 weeks of pain, 1 day till school starts and I give up.
Soarin's POV
It's been 6 weeks, 6 weeks into my crush on RainbowDash, 6 weeks of trying to tell her how I feel, 6 weeks of being a coward, 6 weeks of stupidity, 1 day till school starts and I'm going to finally do it. RainbowDash's POV
I decided last night that Soarin and I are just not meant to be. I mean I've tried everything from giving him special treatment, winks, and even flirting. Nothing works and I can't do this anymore. Same as Preschool. Too much pain and I need to focus on School. We are just friends a-and that's all we'll ever be. He can still call me Princess though and I'll still call him Tiger. Only because it's a friend thing. I was sitting on a bench in front of the school, 1 hour before it opens, just wanting to go inside.
"H-hey Princess," I heard him say.
"What's up, Tiger?" I asked him with a confident tone.
"I wanted to ask you something."
"What is it?"
"Uh, I."
"You..." I said twirling my hand to encourage him to continue.
What he said next shocked me so much I nearly fainted. It filled me with anger!
"Princess, would you like to go on a date with me?"
What I did next shocked me more than the question. I slapped him hard across his face and said, "You idiot! Stay away from me!" as I left him he fell to his knees crying. I was also crying.
Spitfire's POV
Soarin had told me and the others about his crush on RainbowDash that he had developed after spending time with her on the 4th of July. He had been trying to express his feeling for her since then but he's an idiot and doesn't know how. He told me and the others about asking her out today, so High, Fleet, and I decided to watch our favorite ship finally come together.
"Oh, I can't wait to see the look on her face when he asked her out!" Fleet said very excitedly, "She's going to be so happy!"
"Shhh!" I said, "We don't want them to hear us."
What happened next broke our hearts, as RainbowDash broke his.
"Princess, would you like to go on a date with me?"
She slapped him hard across his face and said, "You idiot! Stay away from me!" and ran off crying.
He fell to his knees and before I knew what I was doing, I ran up to him, the others followed and we hugged him. Once she left, he started to cry.
"W-why? I-I don't understand!" he said in between sobs.
"I don't either," I said in a comforting tone, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry!"
Soarin's POV
I'm ready! I knew my Princess would be up and out already at the school. When I saw her again for the first time in years, I was just trying to be polite, because I couldn't exactly remember her name. But, "Princess" is no longer her 'friend nickname'! It's more than that now! The same goes for Tiger. So I decided to get up early and ask her out before anyone got there. I started to like her, in a different way, when we played video games. I got to know her better and she came out of her shell. It's never the looks that draws me to a girl, hence why Princess was just a friend nickname, but the personality. She has the personality of a Warrior Princess, plus she is beautiful. I know I said it's not the looks, but it doesn't mean she isn't beautiful.
"H-hey Princess," I said as I approached her.
"What's up Soarin?" she asked me.
"I wanted to ask you something."
"What is it?"
"Uh, I,"
"You..." she twirled her hand signaling me to go on.
"Princess, would you like to go on a date with me?"
What she did next shattered my heart into a million pieces.
She slapped me across the face and yelled, "You idiot! Stay away from me!" and ran off.
I fell to my knees, heartbroken.
Spitfire came up behind me and hugged me. At that moment I wasn't mad at her for spying. I had other things on my mind.
I managed to mutter out, "W-why? I-I don't understand!" in between tears.
"I don't either," she said trying to comfort me, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
"I stayed there for a while before we had to go to class.
In class, I was silent but knew I had to pay attention. I got my rejection out of my mind by distracting myself with class. I was happy earlier, not only was I ready to ask her but I was going to get my boot off in a week. Now I don't care.
After School I went to practice, I had to much on my mind to watch the others play Frisbee and Basketball.
The coach came up to me and said, "Soarin. What's the matter?"
"Nothing."
"You sure?"
"Ya, I'm sure."
"Okay then."
I went home, skipped dinner, and went straight to bed sobbing quietly into my pillow.
Rapidfire's POV
Spitfire told me about what happened to Soarin earlier today. I had most of my classes with him. He just seemed more quiet than usual. I wanted to give him his space so I'm going to talk to him about it tomorrow. I thought he would be more hurt and not care about class but he surprisingly gave it some effort. In practice, he didn't seem to be 100%. I mean he wasn't playing but usually, he cheers us on. I saw our coach ask him about it and Soarin lied. Soarin has always been good at hiding his emotions. When we got home he went straight to bed.
I need to fix this. I have to. Not only is Soarin a big part of this team, but he's also my best friend. How could the Soarin Skies get rejected? The one girl he likes used to like him and now doesn't. It doesn't make any sense! Rainbow has to be too shocked to say yes or something. I haven't seen her lately. I'll ask Spitfire to help her. Time to bring the Prince and Princess together! We have some work to do!
RainbowDash's POV
Once I left Soarin, I couldn't help but cry.
"Hey, RainbowDash! How's it going?" I heard Suprise say, "A-are you okay?"
"I'm Fine!"
"Rainbow," she said with a concerned look on her face, "Do you want to talk about it?"
"I said, I'm Fine!" I repeated with a more intense tone.
"Please, I just want to help."
"S-Soarin asked me out."
"What? Isn't that a good thing?"
"N-no!"
"Why not?"
"Because I've tried so hard for many months and nothing!"
"I don't understand, he asked you out, that's isn't nothing."
"I-It's because I decided to give up last night, and NOW he decides to ask me out!" I yelled. Luckily no one was around, "He's trying to toy with my emotions!"
"I don't think-" I cut her off.
"I know! I'm just being dramatic right now!"
"It's okay to be frustrated, just let it out."
"Okay," I began, "I'm not mad at him, I'm mad at myself."
"Continue,"
"I regret saying no. I thought I was over him, but I'm not! He probably hates me now for breaking his heart."
"I dought that."
"I can't face him."
"I think-"
"No, I can't"
"I was going to say, take your time and maybe avoid him for a few days, but you can't hide from him forever!"
"I know," I said, "Thanks, Suprise."
"Anytime."
"Promise to not tell anyone."
"Promise, but I think Spitfire will find out eventually."
"I know, I need to tell her myself."
"That's the RainbowDash I know."
'Why did I say no?' I thought to myself.
Soarin's POV
I woke up on Saturday morning, thinking about what happened a few days ago. 'Why did I think she would like me? She hates romance! It's all my fault!'
"Hey, Sir" my friend FireStreak said, "You okay?"
"I'm fine," I tried to sound anything but sad, "Why?"
"Oh, just wanted to make sure," he said, "Also that it's almost noon, I wanted to see if you want breakfast."
"Thanks, but no thanks."
"But you need to eat, Sir."
"I don't want to!" I said, "I don't deserve to!"
Firestreak flinched when I punched my bed.
"Sorry, Fire, just lost my cool."
"No, it's okay Sir. I understand," he said in a comforting tone, "You want to talk about it?"
"Not really. But I guess it would be good too."
"With me or someone else?"
"Think I could talk to Rapid?"
"Yep, my thoughts exactly," he smiled, "I'll go get him."
"Ok. And Fire?"
"Yes?"
"Thanks."
"Anytime, Sir."
"Cut it out with the 'Sir' Fire."
"Why? You are the Lead Guitarist, Singer, and our best Reciever!"
"And a friend. Friends don't call each other sir."
"Right, Sorry,"
"No need to apologize."
"Alright, I'll send Rapid in."
"Thanks."
Rapidfire's POV
"Hey Soarin," I greeted my best friend, "How are you doing?"
I was really surprised that he didn't blow me off like he normally would do.
"Actually, that's what I wanted to talk about."
"It's about RainbowDash, isn't it?"
"Yep."
"I'm here to listen."
"Thanks, Rapid."
"No problem,"
"So, I just feel really angry."
"At her?"
"At myself."
"What did you do wrong?"
"I made her feel pressured and put her on the spot," he said, looking really sad, "And I feel terrible about it."
I didn't know how to respond to that.
"I'm a horrible friend!" he said starting to cry, "I don't deserve to eat, to play sports, to perform, to see her or be with her, and I definitely don't deserve to call her Princess!"
All I could do was give him a hug and say, "That's not true, Soarin. You're a great guy!"
"How so?"
"Think of all the good you do. You entertain, you're generous, funny, charming, kind, honest, loyal and above all, a good friend," I said, "You deserve to eat, to perform, to play sports, and you definitely can still call her princess."
"How can I talk to her when she hates me! She told me to never talk to her again."
"You know that's not true. She values you. It just might take some time. You have a bond that goes back to Preschool."
"You're right," he said, "I need to get myself out of the dumps and live."
"She'll forgive you!" I said, "She loves you."
"As a friend."
"You never know, that could change! Give it time. Then talk to her and tell her your sorry."
"Thanks, Rapid! You truly are my best friend!"
"No problem bro," I said, "Now how about we get you something to eat."
"Okay!"

It had been a few weeks since you know what happened. Soarin and I haven't talked since that incident and I still feel terrible about it. I admit that I've been more distracted than usual thinking about it, feeling guilty, sad and angry at myself. Coach noticed and asked me about it. I made many excuses but I think they're starting to fail. What do I do? Why is life so hard? Oh, maybe I should text the girls.

"Soarin," I began as I walked onto the porch where Soarin was gazing at the stars.
"What's up Rapid?" he said turning to face me.
"We need to talk!"
"About?"
"You know what it's about!"
"I know. I waited too long."
"Yes, and I have one thing to say."
"What's that?"
"Talk to her please!"
Soarin's POV
"Talk to her please!"
"HOW?!?!?!" I said historically.
"It doesn't matter how. But you and she have not talked since 'it' happened," he said, "But you need to talk to her."
"I know. I just need more time."
"Why?"
"I just need to finish something."
"What?" he was starting to get frustrated. I might as well tell him.
"A-a s-song."
He just stood there with his mouth open.
"I know, it's stupid because she doesn't like sappy stuff."
"I was actually going to say that, that's genius."
"R-really?"
"Ya, when."
"Over the weekend. I just need some help."
"Anything."
"Okay, I need our band for the music, I need the girls to distract her and pretend that they're just hanging out a carnival near here, and then at Sunset I'll play a private concert for her."
"Okay, I'll go tell the girls to contact her friends and for them to have a 'Girls Night Out' and then we'll get set up."
"Thanks, Rapid."

Once he left I looked back at the stars, "I coming, Princess!"
Chapter 6: When You're Gone I Think of You
Spitfire's POV
The plan is in motion, I told the girls about the plan and Fleetfoot, and Suprise squealed so loud that I probably got ear damage. The others were more quiet about it. Then I texted Rainbows friends the plan and they drove up here earlier today. Now we're at a carnival hanging out. In about 30 mins we need to take her to the spot without being very suspicious. Ohh and we won against Canterlot University! 21-28. Soarin finally had a good game. Though I shouldn't get too excited, they are a really bad team.
"Enjoying the Carnival RD?" One of her friends with Blonde hair said, "Ya look a little sad."
"Just thinking."
"May I ask what?" her shy friend asked.
"Soarin."
"Oh, darling, I'm sure he doesn't hate you."
"I know, it's just we haven't talked in weeks. I can't get him off my mind. Just after we started to be friends."
"Well forget about him. He's a boy, and this is a Girls night!" her pink curly-haired friend said.
"You're right! Let's go."
"That's the spirit!" I said.
Soarin's POV
Only 10 minutes until they come here.
"Hey Soarin, you okay?" Lightning Steak asked.
"Nervous?" his brother Fire added on.
"Ya,"
"But you've performed in front of many crowds," Windwalker said.
"That's thousands of people I don't know, this is one person who I love."
"Good point."
"Like, what if she hates the song, and then hates me more, and then never talks to me again. OR what if she doesn't even show up. OR if she gets hurt and has to leave before she hears it."
Rapidfire covered my mouth and said, "The girls will get her here safe and sound, and if she really is the one, then she'll love the song."
"You sure."
"Positive."
"Thanks, guys! That means a lot to me."
"No problem now let's get into our places."
RainbowDash's POV
"Let's go over there!" Pinkie shouted pointing to an area that they kept avoiding.
"Ya, we haven't been over there!" Spitfire said.
"That's because you guys keep saying to go somewhere else."
"What are ya talking about, RD?" Applejack asked.
I rolled my eyes, "Whatever. Let's just go."
We walked to see a stage and 13 chairs facing it. Convenient, 13 of us. This can't be a coincidence. What are they up to? Then we sat down and they made me sit in the lone chair in the front row. The chairs were set up in a wierd way. Row 1 had 1 chair for me. Row 2 had 2 chairs. Row 3 had 3. Row 4 had 3. Row 4 had 4. What is going on?
The lights on the stage turned on.
Toward the back of the stage, sat FireStreak holding drumsticks. To his left is Thunderlane next to a piano and Lightningstreak holding a guitar. On the other side, Rapidfire was holding a bass guitar, Windwalker with a tambourine and WaveChill with a Banjo. The center of the stage is totally dark. Then they started playing and a familiar voice started to sing. It was so enchanting. I didn't know what to do.
"When You're Gone I think of You!"
As he said the last line he held his hand out to me. I took it and he pulled me onto the stage.
"RainbowDash. Princess. I'm so sorry."
RainbowDash's POV
"RainbowDash, I'm sorry for being an Idiot."
I didn't know what to say.
"I know you probably hate me now and don't believe me, but I mean it. I thought that Princess was just a nickname for you, but it's more than that now. That night when we just hung out and I got to know you more, I realized that I've fallen for you before I even knew it, ever since pre-K."
"I-I"
"RainbowDash. I mean it when I say, I love you, Princess! You're the love of my life!"
"I love you too."
"R-Really?" he said, "I thought you were mad at me."
"I wasn't mad at you."
"I don't understand, you avoided me ever since I tried last time."
"I was mad at myself."
"What? Why?"
"I'm sorry too."
"What are you sorry for?"
"I shouldn't have said no. I shouldn't have broken your heart."
"Princess-"
"Tiger, I avoided you because I thought you were mad at me. You know for saying 'no'."
"I could never be mad at you Princess. I'm sorry."
"I forgive you."
"I forgive you too."
"So friends?"
"Of course!" he said giving me a hug, "I just have 2 more questions."
"What is it, Tiger?"
"Would you be my best friend?!"
"Yes!"
"And Princess, would you be my girlfriend?"
"I-uh."
"Too soon?"
"No no no, I-I would love too!"
"You have no idea how much I..."
Before I knew what I was doing, I interrupted him with a kiss. Our first kiss was... weird. Neither of us seemed to know what we were doing.
"I...Uh."
"Sorry, Princess, never really kissed anyone before."
"Me neither. B-but I saw you and Lightning Dust."
"I have never kissed anyone back before," he corrected himself, "I consider this to be my first."
"Tiger?"
"Yes?"
"Did you know I had a crush on you before this? Ever since pre-K."
"Y-you did?"
"You didn't know? Then why did you ask me out?"
"Because I like you!"
"Right."
"I think we're meant to be!"
"Me too!" I said as he kissed me again.
He broke the kiss and said, "So Princess, was it my charm?" he said winking at me.
"In pre-K, it was your looks and your charm. Now, It's because of the kindness you showed me, your personality, your eyes, hair, the nicknames, and I guess it was partially your charm."
He laughed.
"So why did you like me?"
"Well in pre-K I feel for you and didn't know. Then I saw a picture of you in a dress."
"At the school dance?"
"Yep! At first, just thought that you looked like a Princess. So I used my Soarin charm and created the nickname."
"So it was the dress."
"No no no, that's what gave me the idea for the nickname, Princess. I like you for the way you are."
"Oh."
"I didn't realize I liked you until the night we just hung out on the 4th of July. I was just so attracted to the new you, or should I say the real you. Before that, I didn't really see the outgoing parts of you that Spitfire told me about and that I remember from pre-K. That night and from then on I did."
"I see."
"However, I was a coward and couldn't get myself to tell you how I feel until the day I finally did. Guess I was a little late."
"I had no idea."
"It's okay Princess! I didn't know about your feelings," he said with his signature smile, "So when you said no, it hurt. Not only did you break my heart, but I felt like I ruined our friendship."
"Wow. I'm sorry you felt that way."
"I think that it turned out well!" he kissed me on the cheek.
"Ya."
"I now have the most beautiful, nice, loyal, and kind Princess, as my girlfriend!"
"You think I'm beautiful?"
"Of course Princess. Not only on the outside but especially on the inside. A dress doesn't change that."
"You know I'm not a real Princess right?"
"You're right. You're my Princess."
Applejack's POV
After the song finished we were supposed to leave them alone. I had to drag Rarity because she wanted to meet Soarin.
"She promised to let us meet him!"
"Maybe at the Halloween Party Rares. Come on!"
"B-b-but!" she said with a quivering lip.
"Can't ya see they're having a moment!"
"Fine! I wish it was me up there!"
"Can't ya be happy for her!?"
"Y-yes."
"Good. Now Let's Go!"

Soarin's POV
"Alright boys, we're 1-1. We need to win here!" Our coach was screaming at us as we prepared to come out onto the field for our week 3 matchup against our division rival, Cloudsdale Academy, "Our Visiting record is usually really bad, so today I expect all of you to change that."
My friends and I play both Offense and Defense because of how many Wonderbolts were Seniors last year. He's right though. Our home record for the last 3 years has been 24-0 but our visiting record was 2-22.
"Today we change our fate!" my coach continued.
Then Rapidfire, my best friend and quarterback went to the middle of the huddle and began to give us a pre-game speech, "Alright boys! Statistics say we are going to lose again, but fate says we'll win! I want to see all of you do your jobs the way they're suppose to be done! If we all do our jobs, there's no dought we'll win! Alright, boys! Have Fun on 3! 1-2-3."
"HAVE FUN!" we all said.
As we came out of the Cloudsdale tunnel, all I heard were, 'boos' and taunts coming from the crowd.
Rapidfire went up to the center of the field for the coin flip.
"Visiting team gets to call the toss," the referee explained.
"Heads," Rapidfire said.
"Visiting team has called heads," he flipped the coin, "It is tails."
"We want the ball!" the Cloudsdale quarterback said.
"Cloudsdale has selected to receive the kick."
Then our kicker, my friend Wave Chill, went out and kicked it to the endzone for a touchback.
"Let's go D!" my friend and fellow safety Lightning Streak screamed.
"Time to get serious!" I said back as we did our signature handshake. We have our pinkie and pointer finger out and the rest of our fingers in and we overlap them with the top of our hands facing up and shake it quickly a few times.
I lined up in my spot in Zone coverage 4 plays in. They had run the ball for 2 yards, passed for 5 and then ran for 12 yards. It was 1st and 10 on their 42-yard line. The CA receiver ran into my zone. I watched him and the quarterback's eyes and bolted toward the ball as he released it. I caught it.
"It's intercepted by Skies!" the announcer yelled, "his first of the year!"
I was able to run back about 15 yards, back to the Line of Scrimmage before I was tackled.
"YAAAAA," I screamed and did our signature handshake with my teammates.
RainbowDash's POV
I was watching from the stands, rooting for Soarin, my boyfriend. All my friends came to the game. None of them care for football. Even if their school was playing against mine, they'd root for mine. Weirdos. My Wonderbolt friends are cheerleaders, but I quit that so I could watch it easier and didn't have to wear a skirt. I couldn't wait until the game ends. Not because I love the ending to football games, but because Soarin and I are going on our first date afterward. Oh, I'm so excited!
There he was, #19. The boy I fell in love with. He plays the same positions I play in Flag. Wide Receiver and Free Safety.
Rapidfire, our Quarterback went up to the center of the field for the coin flip.

"Heads," Rapidfire said.

"We want the ball!" the Cloudsdale quarterback said.

I wasn't really paying attention to that, I was watching Soarin. He and Lightning said something and did the Wonderbolts signature handshake! They were both Safeties and Receivers, so they work closely together.
After a few plays, CA converted on 3rd and 3. Soarin was in Zone Coverage, his specialty! I could tell he was watching the quarterbacks eyes. The QB tried to throw the ball 15 yards but-.
"It's intercepted by Skies!" the announcer yelled interrupting my thoughts, "his first of the year!"
I got out of my seat and yelled, jumped, screamed, hugged and high-fived my friends, who had no idea what just happened, other than Sunset.
"What, did we score?" Fluttershy asked, with like 5 pairs of headphones on.
"No, Soarin intercepted it!"
"Yay!" she said quietly.
"Now we're on Offense?" Applejack asked.
"Yep."
"That's a good thing right?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"Yes, when a player on defense catches a pass, it's called an interception," the egghead said while holding a football book, "then it's a turnover, meaning the Wonderbolts are now on Offence."
"Wonderful, darling!" Rarity said.
'Now it's go time, Tiger!'
Rapidfire's POV
After Soarin's Interception, he came over to me and we did the signature handshake and we headbutted each other.
"It's go time!" he said.
"Let's go!!!" I said.
On 1st and 10, I took the ball and looked around me. My 2 wide receivers, Soarin and Lightning, are on go routes, and my slot receiver, Fire, was on a slant. I had my running back, WindWalker, in a place for me to dump and my Tight end, Thunder, blocking. Then Soarin got open and I threw it to him. He jumped up and made a spectacular one-handed catch!
"High pass, and it issss- caught for a Touchdown, by Skies!!" the announcer yelled, "One-handed! Incredible. Soarin skies over the defenders for the catch."
"Heck Ya!" I screamed and ran over.
We did our handshake all around and jumped around. He's back!
RainbowDash's POV
The game went on like that for a while. We destroyed them 38 to 9. Our defense got 3 interceptions. Rapidfire threw for 5 TD's and 352 yards and completed 25 of 26 passes. Soarin returned to shape after our situation was solved. He got 12 passes, for 176 yards and 3 Td's. What a game. However, I have a feeling Soarin and I are going to like the post-game a little more.
We went back to our hotel and took showers and he came out in casual clothes, while I am in a dress.
"What are you wearing, Princess?"
"Uh, a dress, duh. We're going on a date."
"Yes, but I know you hate sappy stuff, so I decided to let you choose where we go and what we do," he explained, "I thought you would choose something more casual."
"Oh. That makes sense," I said, "I'll be right back Tiger!"
I ran back into my room. Put on Sweatpants, a Wonderbolts T-shirt and tennis shoes. Then I came back out.
"So, Tiger. Where should we go?"
"Up to you Princess."
"How about we go to..." I thought for a second, "a park. Climb Trees, and lay in the grass."
"After we just took a shower."
"What's wrong Tiger? Scared?"
"N-No!" he said, "Let's go then!"
"Okay."
"What about Dinner?" he asked.
"IDK, room service," I was half kidding.
"Ok. Sound good to me, Princess."

"Race you to the top!" he said pointing to a really tall tree.
"How about we make a bet?" I said.
"Oh. What kind."
"If I win you have to kiss me. If you win I have to kiss you."
"I don't see the difference but you're on!"
"TREEE! TWO! ONE! GO!" we screamed together.
I had trouble reaching the first branch because I'm short. When I finally did, I climbed up to the top as fast as I could without my Geode.
"I'm gonna win!" I said almost at the top.
"Think again Princess!" he said.
I looked up and he was already at the top.
"H-How!?"
"I can jump high. Helps with climbing!"
"No fair."
"You have super-speed. I think that's not fair!" he mocked me.
"I didn't use it!"
"Not like jumping 2 feet higher than anyone else is magic. Super-speed is."
"Fine. You win."
"So. How about that kiss," he said as we got to the bottom.
I kissed him and wrestled him to the ground landing on next to him. When we broke the kiss, we stared into each other's eyes. We stayed like that for a few minutes before realizing that we're in a public park. We got up and looked around. Only a few people were around. Luckily no one noticed.
"How about we go back to the hotel?"
"Sounds good to me!"
We went back-ordered dinner and talked about the game.
After eating we went to bed falling asleep holding each other.

"Alright boys," I began my pre-game speech, "The Wonderbolts may have never beaten the Shadowbolts, but the Shadowblts have never faced this new Wonderbolts team! It's time to show them that they should fear un! It's time to go to work. We have one job to do, and that's to win this game. 4-5 doesn't sound appealing. 5-4 does. This is a playoff team! A championship team! Time to show it! Bolts on 3! 1-2-3!"
"BOLTS!!!"
RainbowDash's POV
Alright, we're going to face the best team in the league. No problem. Well actually, none of my friends could travel out here, so I'm in the VIP section by myself. At least I don't have to listen to Egghead or PinkiePie yell. Oh well. Here they come.
I saw Soarin come out of the tunnel and he winked at me. I blushed so hard but was interrupted by a lot of fans screaming at him.
"Visiting team calls the toss."
"Tails."
"It is tails."
"We want the ball."
"Alright starting on Offense. Cool!"
We started with a Touchback and then 3 incomplete passes and a punt.
They took a 14 to 7 lead at halftime. Our lone touchdown was a run from the one-yard line.
Then we kicked to them for another touchback. Come on People, stop it with the touchbacks!
Then the CPU quarterback, ShadowWing, who's a jerk, by the way, threw over to triple coverage.
"Moon, into triple coverage," the announcer said, "and it's intercepted by Soarin Skies at the WBA 35 yard line!"
'Yes, let's go, Tiger!' I thought to myself since I had no one else to talk to.
"Skies down the sidelines! Into Shadowbolt Territory! To the 20, the 15, 10, 5, Touchdoooown! Wonderbolts!"
"Ya Tiger!" I screamed.
I got a lot of dirty looks from the CPU fans.
"The Wonderbolts tie it up at 14 after Soarins 5th pick of the season."
He ended up getting another pick, 7 more receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown. Bringing his total to 5 picks, 76 receptions for 1156 yards, and 14 TDs. Unfortunately, we lost in overtime. But we put up a fight against them, which is what we needed to do.
Soarin's POV
"Hey Tiger," I heard my Princess say.
"You have really good timing, Princess," I said.
"How so?"
"I was just wishing to see you!"
"Really now. Why's that?"
"Can't I just want to see you for the sake of seeing you?"
"I guess so."
"So, you ready for the costume party?"
"Yep, got us costumes."
"Why do I feel scared?"
"No comment."
"Okay, now I'm scared."
"Let's just go."
"Alright, Princess."
***2 hours later***
We drove back to Canterlot and went to Dash's house and got ready for the costume party.
"So, Princess. Where's my costume?"
"Here," she said as she handed me a Tiger costume.
"Seriously?!"
"Yep. Do you like it?"
"Like it? I love it!"
"Good!"
"So are you going to be a Princess then?"
"Close."
"What?"
"You'll see."
A few minutes later, I put on my Tiger costume. Then I waited till she came out of her room. When she did, I didn't know what to say. She was Beautiful. She was a Warrior Princess. Her outfit matched her hair.
"So, do you like it?"
"You look stunning, Princess! Also very Fierce!" I finally said.
"You don't look too bad yourself Tiger!" she said.
***At the Party***
RainbowDash's POV
"Rainbow, Darling!" Rarity said, "You made it!"
"Of course I did. I Pinkie Promised."
"Ah like yer costumes there!" Applejack said, "A Rainbow Princess and her Tiger!"
"They are wonderful!" Fluttershy said in a hushed tone.
"Thanks! I-uh like your costumes too," Soarin said a little uncomfortably sounding because Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy were dressed up as him. Which is wierd. Especially for him. They went all out. Jersey, Padding, Helmet, gloves and everything else.
"Aw, thanks, Darling!"
"Yes, he's ma favorite singer, Wonderbolt, and celebrity in the world," Applejack said, not realizing that Soarin is right in front of them.
"Me too!" Rarity said, in a fangirl voice, "He's hot!"
"Well, thanks I guess."
"What?!" all three said together.
"I did promise to introduce you to him!" I said laughing.
"OMG!" Rarity practically screamed.
"Ya mean you're the Soarin Skies?" Applejack said.
"Uh. Yeah."
"It's so nice to meet you!" Rarity said shaking Soarin's hand up and down super fast.
"I take it your fans?"
"That's the understatement of the century!" Applejack said.
"Well, it's nice to meet you all!" Soarin said, "Friends of my Princess?"
"Yep."
"Rarity?" he said pointing at Rarity.
"He knows my name! EEEEEE!" she fake fainted on a couch.
"Applejack?"
"Howdy, Mr. Skies."
"Soarin's fine," he responded smiling, "and Fluttershy?"
"H-hi."
"Nice to meet you! So, then where are your other friends, Princess?"
"Right here!" Sunset said.
"Nice to meet you Soarin!" Twilight said.
"You must be Twilight and Sunset?"
"Yep. Big fan!" Sunset said.
"Thanks!"
"AND I'M PINKIE PIE!!!!!"
"Nice to meet you all," he said, "Thanks for inviting me to the party!"
I was talking to Twilight, Pinkie, and Sunset.
"I love your costume guys! Scientist, Cake, and Astronaut. Predictable but cool!"
"Yours is amazing!" Sunset said.
"Yes. Where'd you get it?" Twilight asked.
"I got the sword at a Daring Do convention, the dress from Rarity, and the crown from Soarin."
"He got you a crown?"
"Ya. It was his mothers."
"So, it's a real diamond?"
"Yep!"
"Very cool and authentic!" Twilight continued to praise.
"What about the Tiger costume?"
"I found it at a store in town."
"It's pretty cute on him!" Sunset said.
"I know!"
"You guys might win the costume contest!" Pinkie Pie said.
"Thanks!"
Soarin's POV
I was talking to Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy. Rarity was asking me a lot of questions like a fan-girl. I would normally be annoyed, but she's a friend of RainbowDash so I guess it's fine.
"How do you get your hair to be so nice?"
"I wash it?" I said not really knowing how to answer. To be honest, I don't really do anything special. Just Wash, Comb, and go.
"Wow!" she giggled, "Is it true you have a six-pack?"
"I-uh. Yes?" I said hesitating a little bit.
"OMG! It's true! Can I see it!?"
"Uh-."
"Rarity! Stop bothering him!" Applejack said.
"Oh. Sorry. I was just excited to meet you!"
"It's okay. I guess I'm used to it. So what do you guys do?"
"I'm studying to be a veterinarian," Fluttershy said.
"I'm a Farmer," Applejack said. I guess I should have guessed.
"I'm want to be a famous fashion designer."
"Well, you designed Rainbow's Dress right?"
"All of the ones she had worn. Which is only the one tonight and at the fall formal."
"I'd say you're really good then!"
"OMG! Soarin Skies complimented me!"
"Don't let it go to your head Sugarcube!"
"Ugh. Let me Fangirl in peace!"
I chuckled a little.
"I'm going to go see what Rainbow's up to!"
RainbowDash's POV
I was still talking to my friends when Soarin came up to me.
"Hey, Tiger. What's up?"
"Oh. I just wanted to come see what you're doing."
"Just talking. Why?"
"To be honest, Rarity's kind of freaking me out."
I laughed, "I knew that would happen."
"She does get a little carried away at times," Sunset said.
"I've noticed. She asked me about my Abs."
I blushed, "She did what?!"
"Don't worry Princess, I didn't show her."
I blushed again, "Ok."
Sunset laughed a little, "What's so funny?!"
"Nothing!"
"Whatever."
"Alright everyone, time to announce the winners of the costume contest!" Pinkie said without a microphone because she doesn't need one.
"In third place, we have a 3-way tie! Fluttershy, Applejack and Rarity, as Soarin!"
I saw Soarin cringe.
"Congratulations! You each split this apple pie."
Another cringe. This one of Jealousy. Soarin loves apple pie.
"In second, we have Sunset as an Astronaut!"
"Congratulations! You get this chocolate cake!"
"Uh. Thanks, Pinkie."
Sunset doesn't really eat sweets anymore. Not after starting her Basketball career at Hoofington University.
"And the winners are. Yes, Winners! Soarin and RainbowDash as a Rainbow Princess and her Tiger!"
"Oh cool. We won, Princess!"
"Great!" I said sarcastically.
"You win a dessert of your choice."
I looked at Soarin, "Can we please get an ApplePie?"
"We'll take an ApplePie Pinkie."

Soarin's POV
We just started Winter break. I'm going with Rainbow Dash to her house to celebrate with her and her family. I can't wait!
We are 9-6 and need to win this next game to make the playoffs. However, that game is late the day after Chrismas, here at the Wonderbolts Academy. Unfortunately, we have to leave the house early on the 26th, which happens to be my birthday. It Sucks to have a holiday birthday. You have to give presents for your birthday. The last few years have sucked over the holidays since I don't have a family. Now I do! Kind of.
I got her parent's tickets to the game. They're also fans of mine. As well as Jerseys I wore this season, signed by all my teammates!
I got my Princess a custom made Necklace, half Rainbow Colored Lightning bolt and half Tiger stripped. She doesn't really like Jewelry, but I have a feeling she'll make an exception.
RainbowDash's POV
Today, we leave to go to my parent's house for the holidays with Tiger!
I got him a ring that is half Rainbow Colored Lightning bolt and half Tiger stripped. Also a bonus, a new Guitar!
Soarin got my Parent's tickets to the next game!! I also got my Mom a new camera, she loves to take pictures of the Sunset, and my dad a Wonderbolts T-shirt, he loves clothing.
"Ready to go Princess?" I heard him say as I came out of my room, with a suitcase.
"Sure am!"
I was tired, so he offered to take his car.
"So, Princess. Excited for the holidays?"
"Definitely!"
***2 hours later***
Soarin's POV
"Wake up, Princess," I said shaking my girlfriend, "We're here!"
She yawned and said, "Morning, Tiger."
I laughed, "Princess, it's 3 in the afternoon."
"What? Oh yeah."
"Anyway, let's go say hi to your parents before we go to the party."
Did I forget to mention that Pinkie is having a Party? Actually, Dumb Question. Of course, she is.
"OK!"
Knock. Knock.
"Dashie, your home!" her mom said pulling her into a hug.
"Hi, Mom!"
"Hi, Ms. Windy!" I said.
"Soarin! You made it."
"Of Course!"
"Well, Bow isn't home right now, but he'll be home for Christmas. You need to get to the Party! It starts in 30 minutes!"
"We know!" I said, "Just wanted to say hi."
"I appreciate that. I'll take your bags and put them in your rooms. Have Fun!"
"Thanks, Mom!"
"See you tonight!" I said.
It was around a 25-minute drive to Sugarcube Corner.
"Princess, you excited for Christmas!"
"Of Course!" she said.
"Me too. And for my birthday!"

"I never told you? It's the day after."
"I got you multiple Chrismas Presents, I guess I'll give you some for your Birthday."

"My fault not yours. Let's just enjoy this party!"

We got out of the car and walked, holding hands, to Sugarcube corner.
"Hey Pinkie. Sorry, we're late," I said as we walked in.
"No problem!" she yelled.
Then I noticed that the only people there are my closest friends, the CMC(Canterlot Movie Club), Flash, Timber, and Cheese.
"Is this it?" Soarin asked.
"Yep! We decided to keep it smaller," Pinkie said.
"Really?! But you make everything bigger!" I said.
"I know. I felt like being unpredictable this time."
"I'll give you unpredictable, but I'm still surprised."
"Don't worry Sugarcube. It's only because of the Paparazzi and Soarin," Applejack said.
"Thanks. I guess."
"Yay! It's Party Time!"
Only 5 minutes into the party Rarity, Applejack, SweetieBelle, Scootaloo, Applebloom, and even Fluttershy, were annoying Soarin a bit. Mostly the CMC.
"What's your favorite color?" asked SweetieBelle.
"Rainbow," he said winking at me. I blushed.
"What's your favorite animal?" Applebloom asked.
"Tigers," he said with another wink. I blushed again.
"What's your favorite book?" Scootaloo asked.
"Really hoped you guys were going to ask a question where the answer is Princess." he joked, "My favorite book is probably, the Daring Do series."
"Really! Us Too!" they all yelled.
"Alright girls, let's give Soarin here a break, ya hear."
"Okay Applejack," Applebloom said.
"We'll be back!" SweetieBelle said looking Soarin straight in the eyes.
"Sorry about them. They can get a bit, excited," Rarity said.
"No worries. A few questions can't hurt."
"That was like 50 questions though," Fluttershy said shyly.
"Touche."
A few minutes later the CMC came back.
"Alright Skies. We have more questions!" Scootaloo said while AppleBloom held a camera.
"Uh, sure."
"Girls!" I said.
"Don't worry Princess, I'm used to it."
"If you say so."
Soarin's POV
RainbowDash walked away to go talk to some of her friends.
"First question! Why do you like RainbowDash!?"
"Do you want a list of reasons or the biggest reason?" I questioned them back.
"We're asking the questions here!" AppleBloom yelled.
"Okay! Sorry! There are many reasons. Such as her Loyalty, Humor, Style, Personality, and Beauty, outer and inner."
"Anything else?"
"Several. Her voice is music to my ears. Her competitiveness is the most inspiring thing ever. She's the kindest, most loyal, funniest, generous, honest girl, I've ever met."
"Second Question! How did you first meet?"
"In preschool. She followed me everywhere."
"Why'd she do that?"
"She told me it's because she had a crush on me."
"Oh."
"Anyways!" Scootaloo said, "Third Question! Why do you call her Princess and why does she call you Tiger?"
"Well, when I first saw a picture of her, I thought she looked like a Princess, and my mom used to call me a Prince, so I made that a nickname in honor of my Mom. I think it fits well and I know my Mom would be proud."
"Why don't you ask her?"
"Rainbow?"
"No your Mom?"
"Well, I lost her a few years ago, along with my Dad, in a plane crash."
"That's awful!"
"It is. But that's why I honored her."
"What about 'Tiger'?"
"She called me that in Preschool because I love Tigers. It just came back I guess."
"Wow. This is juicy."
"Fourth Question! When are you going to marry her?"
That question made me Blush so red, Applejack could have sold me as a giant apple.
"Well uh- you see."
"Girls!" Rarity said, "You can't ask a boy that! Especially since he is only 18 and they've only been dating for a few months."
"Sorry Soarin."
"It's okay girls. I know you meant well."
I got down and whispered to them and winked, "You can ask me in a few years!"
Rarity's POV
***Same time as Soarin and CMC's Conversation***
RainbowDash left Soarin to be interrogated by my sister and her friends. Oh heavens, that poor boy is going to be buried under questions. I'll go check on them in a few minutes.
"So how's it going with Caramel, Fancy and Discord?" Rainbow asked us.
"To be honest, not great," Applejack said, "Ah can barely get a word out to him."
"Yes. Fancy is supposed to be my Prince, but I can't seem to talk to him."
"Discord makes me nervous too. How do you do it RainbowDash?" Fluttershy asked.
"Well, I was like you three when I first met him. But after getting to know him a bit better, it became easier and easier to talk to him."
"Wow. You are so brave. I could never do that," Fluttershy said.
"Sure you can."
"How do you expect us to talk to boys, Darling," I asked.
"Easy. With your mouth."
"Haha. Very funny RD," Applejack said, "But seriously how?"
"I got these words of wisdom from a friend, 'follow your heart'."
"O-okay. I'll try my best."
"Me too!" I said.
"Yay! Me three!" Fluttershy said quietly.
"Good."
"Are you sure Soarin isn't with you?" I said dramatically.
"For the billionth time. He. Is. MY. Boyfriend."
"Okay. Okay. I get it."
Then I heard the CMC ask Soarin, "When are you going to marry her?"
Soarin blushed as red as a Tomato.
I rushed over to help him.
"Girls!" I said, "You can't ask a boy that! Especially since he is only 18 and they've only been dating for a few months."
"Sorry Soarin."
"It's okay girls. I know you meant well."
He whispered something in their ears. They smiled and he winked. I wonder what he said.
When I came back to AJ, RD, and FS. RainbowDash was blushing like a tomato as well. She must have heard what they said.
"Rainbow Darling. What's wrong?" I asked, "Was it the CMC? Don't be embarrassed. They're just 3 kids exploring."
"I know. It's just awkward."
"I understand. Let's enjoy the rest of the Party."
"Okay. I'm cool. Let's go."
"That's the spirit!"
Soarin's POV
We had a present exchange, which was fun, a lot of clothing from Rarity, animal-based things from Fluttershy, books from Twilight, and random stuff from others.
After I answered all the questions, I didn't have any more for the rest of the party. Thank God! It is 7:30 and the CMC had to go home. Along with Rarity, who had a dress to make, Twilight, and Timber, who had things to do. Fluttershy had pets to feed, and Applejack had to take Applebloom home and had chores. That left me, RD, Scootaloo, who moved in with her family last month officially making them sisters, Pinkie who lived here, Sunset, Flash, and Cheese.
"We should probably go soon, Tiger," Rainbow said to me.
"Alright! Let's go say goodbye."
"Come on Scootaloo."
We said our goodbyes and headed outside to the car. On the way home Rainbow was silent.
"Princess?"
"Um-hum."
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"Oh come on Princess. You can tell me."
"Okay. It's about the 4th question you were asked."
"The one about marriage."
"Yep"
"Listen, Princess. That's a long way away. I'm not thinking about that right now. I'm thinking about spending the holidays with you for the first time."
"I know, but do you think we will."
"I sure hope so. We'll just have to wait and see. It will all be okay. You'll see. Trust me." I kissed her on the cheek.
"Okay. Okay. Settle down, Tiger. I trust you!"
"Good."
"I love you, Tiger."
"Love you too Princess."
"That was so adorable!" Scootaloo said as we pulled into the driveway.
"OMG. Completely forgot you were there Scoots. Sorry!"
"No problem. I filmed that!"

Scootaloo's POV
"IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!" I screamed as I woke up.
I went into my sister's room and jumped on the right side of the bed.
"Oof!" I heard a voice that didn't belong to RainbowDash.
"Soarin?"
"What's up Scoots?"
"Why are you in Rainbow's Bed?"
"Well, since you moved into the guest room, I couldn't sleep there. So my princess, said I can sleep with her."
"Oh. Is she awake?"
"Not yet. Want to wake her?"
"Yes!"
I then got off of Soarin and jumped onto Rainbow.
"Ah!" she screamed, "Oh hey Scoots. A little excited are we?"
"Yep! It's Christmas!"
"How about you go wake up your parents?" Soarin suggested, "I'll start breakfast."
"Chocolate Chip Pancakes?"
"Yep!"
"Yay!"
"Alright, Scootaloo. Let's go."
"Okay."
We walked over to my new Mom and Dad's room.
"Alright, on 3," Rainbow Whispered, "1-2-3!"
We then screamed, "It's Chrismas!!" as I jumped on the bed.
"Ah!" my mom screamed, "You got me!"
"Merry Chrismas you two!" my dad said.
"Merry Chrismas!" I said, "Soarin's making Pancakes!"
"How sweet of him!" my mom said.
"Then we can open presents!" RainbowDash said, "Excited Scootaloo?"
"Duh!"
We waited for a few minutes to go downstairs so my parents could get dressed.
"Breakfast!" Soarin yelled.
"Yay!"
RainbowDash's POV
This is going to be the best Christmas. I have my Mom, my Dad, my celebrity Boyfriend, and my little sister. It's too bad her real parents couldn't come back from Africa.
"Wow, Soarin. These pancakes are delicious!" My mom said after taking one bite.
"Yes. They're really amazing!" My dad said.
Scootaloo was too busy eating to respond.
"Thank you!" he said.
"Scootaloo, chew slower so you don't choke," I said.
"But they're so good!"
"If you finish them too fast they'll be gone!"
"You're right. Slowing down."
Once we finished eating we went over to the living room and saw a beautiful tree with presents below it. My family had a tradition that everyone gets everyone else 1 gift. It's normally 3 because there was normally 3 of us. But now we have 5.
"Wow! It's breathtaking!" Soarin said.
"Good job on the tree Mom!" I added on.
"Thank you!"
"So. Can we open presents!?" Scootaloo asked.
"Of Course. Do you want to pick the first one Scootaloo?" my dad asked my sister.
"Okay!" she went over to the tree and picked up a present, "This one is from Mom to RainbowDash."
"Aw. Thanks, Mom!" I said opening it to reveal a phone case that had a Rainbow-pattern on the back. My old one was starting to break.
"Your welcome Sweetheart!
"This one is from RainbowDash to Dad."
My dad took the present and opened it. I got him a Wonderbolt custom T-shirt with his name on the back.
"I love it, sweetheart," he said hugging me and tearing up, "Thank you!"
"Your Welcome Dad."
"This one is from Me to Mom," Scootaloo said handing my Mom a large, poorly wrapped present.
It was a new Bathrobe, "Wow! I love it Scoots! Thank you!"
"Your welcome Mom!"
Scootaloo got a new Scooter from Dad, Kleets from me, a small Soarin Jersey and Ticket from Soarin, and a Bike from my Mom. We had to go outside for that last one.
My dad got a lot of clothing. Wonderbolt socks from Scootaloo, Jeans form Mom, and a Jersey and a ticket to the game from Soarin.
My Mom got slippers from my dad, a matching Jersey and a ticket to the game from Soarin, and a new Camera from me.
I got 2 hats from Scootaloo, one for me and one for Tank, and Sneakers from my dad.
Soarin got 3 gift cards from my family. Hah! That's so funny. They didn't know what he likes especially being a celebrity. He said, "I'm just grateful to be here." and insisted that they take it back. They didn't.
Now, all that's left is my present for Soarin and Soarin's present for me. Also, his birthday presents.
"Alright, from Soarin to RainbowDash!"
I opened it. "OMG!" It was a beautiful necklace with a pendant of a Lightning Bolt, colored half Tiger stripes and half Rainbow. It looked exactly like the ring I got him.
"Wow, Tiger. It's wonderful!" I said, "It's Beautiful!"
"Not as much as you Princess!" I blushed and put it on.
"I love it," I said and hugged him.
"Now it's your turn!"
He opened it and said, "I knew we were meant to be! We gave each other matching Jewelry!"
"Wow! They look identical!" My dad said.
"You guys designed these? Separately?"
"Yep. It was fate! Right, Princess?"
"Right!"
"Look up!" Scootaloo said.
We did and saw a green leaf wrapped in a red ribbon above our heads.
"Shall we Princess?"
"Of course, Tiger!"
He bent down because you know, I'm short and he's tall and kissed me.
"Ew, but also Awww," Scootaloo said.
Sometimes I hate Mistle Toe. Right now is not one of those times.

It's my Birthday, but also one of the most important tests of my life. We have to beat Cloudsdale Academy to make the playoffs. We had beat them earlier in the year, but they didn't have their main Quarterback, FlameWing. He is really good. He has won the last 3 games basically singlehanded. RainbowDash's Dad was driving, her mom is sitting shotgun while, Scootaloo, RD and I were in the back.
When we got there I was dropped off by the player's only entrance, near the locker room.
"Good luck Tiger!" RainbowDash said, giving me a kiss.
"Thank you, Princess!" I said in return.
I walked in, put on my uniform and got ready.
I got in the huddle preparing for the game.
"Alright, boys! We know what we need to do! We need to go out on our field and win! Simple as that. I don't care that FlameWing is back. Not even he can beat us on our field! In Football when you have an opportunity to make a play, you make a play! Right! So let's go make some plays! Game on, on 3. 1-2-3!" Rapidfire said.
"Game On!"
We start on Defense and immediately, we knew we are going to have a hard time.
"On 2nd and 1, Wing steps up. Throws deep. Double covered. And it is Caught! Touchdown! Cloudsdale!" the announcer said.
"Darn it!" I said as I got up.
Firestreak and I were double-teaming the receiver and he still got it.
At the end of the first quarter, we were losing 21-0. Not exactly ideal.
"Alright, boys, time to turn it around!" Rapidfire said.
"Rapidfire rolls left. Slings one down the field for Lightning. Tipped, and caught! Soarin came up behind Lightning and caught it! Touchdown, Wonderbolts!"
"Let's Go! Let's Go!" I said doing the Wonderbolts handshake with all my teammates. Finally a score.
At half time, we were down 21 again. This time 28-7.
"Hey! We're alright. We just got to get back in it. We're better and we know it. Now we just need to act like it!" Our Coach said, "Let's go get it!"
In the third quarter, neither team scored. Just a bunch of Punts.
"Hey, we stopped them, that's good. Not we just have to not be stopped!" Rapid said.
We have the ball in to start the 4th.
"Rapidfire, chased, throwing, to the endzone, and it'sssss caught by Thunderlane!"
"Ya. Let's go!" he said, as Handshakes were passed all around. 28-14.
"Now it's time to stop them. Down 2 scores. Let's Go!" I said to my teammates.
"FireWing, hit as he throws and it's intercepted by Soarin! Back to the Cloudsdale 20."
We scored again and were now down by 7. Then LightningStreak got an Interception. However, Rapid was picked off right after.
With 45 seconds left they have the ball and we need it back.
"Wing throws deep. Intercepted! Skies. Again! Back to the Wonderbolts 49."
A few moments later.
"Rapidfire, to the endzone, caught by LightningStreak! Touchdown. We're all tied up! We're going to Overtime!"
We just scored 21 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to force overtime.
Unfortunately, they start with the ball on their own 35-yard line.
"Overtime is on! FireWing rolls right. Sets. Fires! Deep down the field. And it'ssss Intercepted by Skies, with one hand! What a Catch! 3rd of the game. He's at midfield. 40. Breaks a tackle. 30. 20. Breaks another tackle. Turns on the Jets! 10. 5. Touchdown!!! Wonderbolts win!"
When I got to the endzone I gave the ball to RainbowDash who was in the VIP section right next to the endzone and gave her a kiss.
"I love you, Princess!" I said.
"Love you too Tiger!"
I gave Scootaloo my Helmet and she jumped up and she hugged me!
"You're awesome."
"You are too!"
I turned around and started to celebrate with my teammates.
"YAAAAAA! Let's Go!" I said while my teammates stormed the field.
"What a comeback. Down 21 in the 4th quarter. 3 passing touchdowns and 3 picks to force overtime. Then in Overtime a Pick 6 ends it!" the announcer said.
"Playoffs baby. Whoo-hoo!" Rapidfire said.
"Good job Skies!" FireStreak said.
"You're the best, man!" Thunderlane said.
"That's how it's done!" WaveChill said.
"Heck ya!" Windwalker said.
RainbowDash's POV
***At the beginning of the 4th Quarter***
28-7. Not looking good for Soarin and the Wonderbolts.
"Rapidfire, chased, throwing, to the endzone, and it'sssss caught by Thunderlane."
"YAAAAAYYYY!" Sccotaloo yelled, "Touchdown!"
"What a catch!" My dad commented.
"FireWing, hit as he throws and it's intercepted by Soarin! Back to the Cloudsdale 20."
"Let's go, Tiger!" I yelled.
"Wing throws deep. Intercepted! Skies. Again! Back to the Wonderbolts 49."
"Rapidfire, to the endzone, caught by LightningStreak! Touchdown. We're all tied up! We're going to Overtime!"
The crowd erupted!
"They did it!" I yelled.
"Whoo-hoo!" Scootaloo said jumping up and down.
On the first play of Overtime, Cloudsdale started with the ball.
"Overtime is on! FireWing rolls right. Sets. Fires! Deep down the field. And it'ssss Intercepted by Skies, with one Hand! What a Catch! 3rd of the game. He's at midfield. 40. Breaks a tackle. 30. 20. Breaks another tackle. Turns on the Jets! 10. 5. Touchdown!!! Wonderbolts win!"
"OMG!" My dad said.
"YAAAAYYYY!" Scootaloo screamed.
"Yes! They did it!" My mom said.
After Soarin scored he ran over to us. He handed me the game-winning ball and kissed me. I was shocked because no one really knew about our relationship other than friends and family. All the girls in the stands were giving me the stink-eye. I wanted to say, 'In your face', but I was a little love-struck.
"I love you, Princess!"
"Love you too Tiger!"
He gave Scootaloo his Helmet and she jumped up and hugged him!
"You're awesome."
"You are too!"
He then went to celebrate with the Wonderbolts. The team had stormed the field. They had gone crazy.
Soarin's POV
After I took a shower, I went out to my post-game interview, where I was asked about RainbowDash.
"Is it true that you and RainbowDash are dating?"
"Y-yes," I said nervously. Will Dash be okay with me saying that or will she be mad?
After my conference, which wasn't really about the game, more about my relationship, I went to find my Princess. She probably is mad at me.
"H-hey Princess."
"Hey, Tiger."
A few moments of silence passed.
"So. You told them huh?"
"Ya. Are you mad?"
"Mad? Why would I be mad?"
"Because I just told the world about us!"
"Yes, but do you realize how many girls are jealous of me now?"
"Is that a trick question?"
"Sort of," she laughed, "The point is I love you, and no one, not even the media, is going to tear us apart."
"You're the best Princess."
"I know."
I laughed, "I love you!"
"Love you too. Let's go home."
RainbowDash's POV
"Congratulations Soarin!" my Dad said.
"Thank you, Sir."
"You were amazing!" my Mom said.
"I appreciate that!"
"You got to teach me how to catch like that!" Scoots said.
"Of course!"
"Yay!!"
We got in the car and went back home.
"Happy Birthday Tiger!" I said, just remembering.
"What? Oh ya. Forgot about that!"
"Happy Birthday Soarin!" My family said in unison.
When we got home, Scootaloo immediately grabbed Soarin's presents and hopped up and down.
"Open them! Open them!"
"Okay, Scoots. I will. Just let me sit down."
"Fine."
After he sat down, he opened his presents. There wasn't much. A card, with gift cards probably, and my present.
"Thanks, guys. Really. I don't need these though."
"You must. It's a present."
"You got me there."
He then opened mine. Oh, I hope he likes it.
"Wow! Princess. It's. It's incredible!"
"You like it, Tiger?"
"I love it. Thank you." He said while giving me a kiss.
It was a brand new Guitar, Blue with Silver trim, gold Strings, and a rainbow/Tiger colored strap.

RainbowDash's POV
The Last 2 weeks have been a blast! Despite the fact that I'm only watching that is. Soarin and the Wonderbolts have won both their wildcard game and semifinal game. Both of which were on the road, so they're exhausted. First, they won against New Horseleans and their quarterback SteamBurst 24-21 on a last-minute touchdown! Then they beat The Crystal Empire Academy and Twilight's Brother Shining Armor in an upset 31-28, also in a last-minute touchdown.
Now comes the real challenge. Crystal Prep University. Those snobs beat us in overtime earlier in the regular season. Now it's time for some Revenge. Wonderbolts Style!
Soarin's POV
"Today's the day!" Rapidfire yelled at us, "Alright! We're going to win today! It's our time! Time to end a dynasty! Time to do our best! Time to Compete! Time to Win! Time to be Wonderbolts! WONDERBOLTS on 3! 1-2-3!"
"WONDERBOLTS!"
Alright, Soarin. Do it for RainbowDash! Do it for your Princess!
"Wonderbolts Academy will choose the coin toss!" The referee explained.
"Heads!" Rapidfire called.
"The Wonderbolts have selected heads!"
"We want the ball!" Rapidfire said.
"IT'S GO TIME!" I screamed.
I was standing in the endzone ready to receive the opening kick. Spitfire and the other Wonderbolts Cheerleaders were doing their routine infront of the stands. The Shadowbolts kicker, kicked the ball about 9 yards into the endzone. I decided that since it's that far in the endzone that I'll just kneel and take the touchback.
"Touchback! The Wonderbolts will start on their own 25!"
I lined up on the right side, awaiting Rapidfire's call.
"1-80! Set!"
The ball was snapped to him from our center and I ran about 5 yards forward faked left and ran right to the corner. However, the Shadowbolts corner was with me step for step. Fortunately, I'm not Rapidfire's only Target.
"Rapid, fires to LightningStreak for 35. 1st Down Wonderbolts!"
"Blue 19! Set!"
"Rapidfire steps up! Throws over the middle. Caught by Firestreak for a gain of 16! Another Wonderbolts 1st Down!"
Now we were running a running play with Windwalker.
"Blue 19! Set!"
"Windwalker up the middle for, maybe a yard. 2nd Down!"
Now I was on an in route while FireStreak was on an out route. We essentially were crossing paths to throw our opponents off.
"3-19! Set!"
"Rapidfire steps up! Throws! Intercepted by the Shadowbolts at CPU 12! Back to the CPU 29. Rapidfire on the Tackle!"
I clapped my hands in frustration, "We were so close!"
"Dammit!" Rapidfire shouted, "Sorry Guys!"
"It's okay bro. We'll make it up!"
RainbowDash's POV
The last thing we needed was to throw an interception to the best team in football on the opening drive.
"Let's go Defense!" I heard Scootaloo and my Parents yell!
"I believe in you, Tiger!" I said.
"ShadowWing steps up. Throws for Shade! Caught! Down at the WBA 32. Covered heavily by FireStreak!"
Shade and ShadowWing are considered to be the best QB and WR pairing ever. If Soarin and Rapidfire want to steal that, they need to work extra hard.
"ShadowWing, hands off to Stampede! Around the outside. He's at the Wonderbolts 20. 15. 10. 5. Touchdown Shadowbolts!"
"NOOOOOOO!" Scootaloo screamed.
"2 plays and they're in the endzone!"
I really hate the announcers at away games!
Soarin's POV
***Half Time***
Things aren't looking good. We started by throwing that interception leading to a CPU touchdown. However, our next few drives were awful! We had a Fumble, Punt and a missed Field Goal! We did get a Field Goal after that though. Meanwhile, they got 4 Touchdowns in 4 attempts. They're killing us. And that's just in the 1st Quarter. 3-28 is not what we planned! After the Second Quarter, we improved. We got 2 Touchdowns and 1 Interception to their 2 Touchdowns, a Field Goal and Fumble. Making the score 17-45. The worst part is I have 0 catches and allowed 5 completions! What is going on?!
"We're getting our butts kicked!" Rapidfire yelled, "We can't have that! It's time to turn it around. We don't quit! We're Wonderbolts Right!"
"Right!"
"WONDERBOLTS on 3! 1-2-3!"
"Wonderbolts!"
RainbowDash's POV
I was very concerned about the score. 17-45 is the largest halftime difference in years. I, however, was more concerned about Soarin. He had looked horrible. Like worse than week 1 when I broke his heart. I don't know what's going on. Yes, he wasn't targeted, but that was because he was hardly open. So unlike him.
The Shadowbolts opened up with a long drive to take time off the clock and fumbled! On the WBA next possession, Soarin finally showed up!
"Rapidfire rolls right! Launches to Skies! He goes up and over the defender to pick up the first! What a catch!"
I was overjoyed! "Let's go, Tiger!"
I could feel it. It's time to win Wonderbolts!
Soarin's POV
The third Quarter was wierd. I got my first catch and on the same drive, we got a touchdown making it 24-45. However, another Shadowbolts touchdown extended the lead 24-52. Then there were 3 straight turnovers. We fumbled. They Fumbled. We punted.
"Alright, let's make history! Let's win!" I said.
"WhooHoo! I'm pumped!" Lightning said.
On our 12 yard line, the Shadowbolts looked to extend the lead but-.
"Shadow, pressured! Loses the ball! It's recovered by Soarin on the WBA 12!"
"Let's Go!" I said with handshakes all around. I could feel it. We're winning this!
Rapidfire's POV
After Soarin got the ball back I knew who to throw to.
"Rapidfire. Steps up. Throws deep for Skies who makes the catch at the CPU 20. He's still on his feet. At the 15. 10. 5. Touchdown Wonderbolts! 88 yards!"
"YESSSS!" I said while jumping up in the air giving my teammates hugs.
Soarin's POV
Now we're talking. 31-52. We need to play the best defense of our lives.
"ShadowWing starts on his own 25. Steps up Throws. Intercepted by Skies! Back to the CPU 20! That is the first Interception of ShadowWing in the playoffs ever!"
"YAAAA!"
"Let's Go!"
"Time to score! I yelled at Rapid!"
I caught a pass for 12 but was 8 short of the endzone. No problem on the next play.
"Rapidfire throws, Soarin! Caught! Soarin skies over the defender for another Wonderbolts Touchdown."
RainbowDash's POV
There's the Tiger I know and love. He was doing what he always did. Start off bad and comes back in the 4th quarter! It's now 38-52. They need 2 Touchdowns to tie.
"ShadowWing throws for Shade! Tipped by Skies! Intercepted by FireStreak! Back to the CPU 8! The tides have changed!"
They scored again after that!
"YAAAAAY!" Scootaloo jumped onto my back.
"High Five!"
"Yes!"
After the Shadowbolts rushed 6 times in a row with the quarterback to run the clock out and waste the Wonderbolts Timeouts. They foolishly tried to pass again.
"ShadowWing, this time throws for Striker. Intercepted by LightningStreak! He's got blocker! Streaking down the sidelines! Back to the CPU 20. 15. 10. Tripped up at the 6. 1st and Goal Wonderbolts!"
"WhooHoo!" Scootaloo yelled.
"You got this Tiger!"
Soarin's POV
"Great job!" I headbutted Lightning, "That's how we do it!"
2 plays later we were on the CPU 1 with less than a minute to score.
"Blue 19! Set!"
"Rapidfire pressured and Sacked for a loss of 10!"
We had to rush to the line to spike it. But-.
"Bolt! Bolt!" Rapidfire yelled while swinging his arms. This is code for the fake spike.
"Set!"
Instead of stopping I ran past the defender into the endzone and went up!
"Rapidfire looked to spike and instead throws! Skies! One-handed catch! What a Catch! Caught the ShadowBolts napping as time expires."
"Yes!"
"WaveChill's extra point is... GOOD! We're going to Overtime!"
"Let's do this!"
RainbowDash's POV
"Each team will have a chance with the ball. If the second team repeats what the first team did, overtime will continue. If the first team doesn't score or scores less than the second the game is over. If the first team scores and the second doesn't the game is over. Understand?!"
"Yes!"
"Wonderbolts call the toss!"
"Tails!"
"It is heads!"
"We want the ball!" ShadowWing said.
"CPU has selected to receive."
Alright, Tiger, 1 stop. I love you and believe in you!
Soarin's POV
I was standing in my free safety spot awaiting Shade to come near me. He's the top receiver.
"Shadow! Step up and throws for Shade and it's intercepted by Skies again! What an Interception! Down at the Wonderbolts 44!"
"WhooHoo!" Lightning said as he hit my helmet.
"Let's Go!" I screamed.
Now it's our turn!
"Rapidfire steps up. Throws Deep! Endzone! Looking for Skies! Triple Coverage! It is Caught! Touchdown! Wonderbolts Win in an amazing comeback!"
I got up and sprinted past my hollering teammates to RainbowDash. I pulled her out of the stands and kissed her passionately.
"I love you so much, Princess!"
"I love you too, Tiger!"
RainbowDash's POV
Soarin had just stunned everyone by interception ShadowWing and receiving the game-winning touchdown in overtime! I was so stunned I couldn't move.
Then I saw him running toward me. He pulled me from my seat and kissed me with the most passion we ever had when we kissed. He broke the kiss looked me in the eyes and said, "I love you so much, Princess!"
"I love you too, Tiger!"
I kissed him again.
I let him go to celebrate with his teammates. He jumped into the air on them and they were acting crazy. WBA fans, media, players, and more were storming the field to celebrate the best comeback in history!
***2 hours later***
After all the conferences, showers and celebrations I was awarded MVP but I wasn't really thinking about that too much. All I wanted to do was to go see my Princess and just hug, kiss and cuddle with her. I was staring at her not paying any attention to the award ceremony.
"It is my Privilege to award Soarin Skies the MVP for the Championship Game!"
I didn't respond. I was staring at RainbowDash still.
"Soarin. Accept your trophy bro!" Rapidfire nudged me.
"Right. Sorry." I took the trophy blushing a little and help it high. That was met with loud applause and praise from fangirls, football fans, teammates, media, friends, and most importantly RainbowDash.
After that, I was prompted to speak. I started by talking about how I'm thankful for my teammates, the fans and the coach.
"Finally I want to thank my wonderful girlfriend RainbowDash!" I said and everyone cheered.
When they settled down I continued, "Princess, you've been there for me every step of the way and supported me and believed in me. Even when I didn't believe in myself. I love you, Princess." That last part was met with a lot of, 'AWWWWWWs'. Mainly from her friends.
"You're the light of my life and this is all thanks to you!"
After the award ceremony, RainbowDash and I went to our hotel.
"Did you mean what you said?"
"What part?"
"When you said it's all thanks to me."
"Every Word!"
"Really!?"
"Yep," I said kissing her cheek, "I love you, Princess!"
"I love you too, Tiger!" she said kissing me.
"Get a room!" I heard a voice belonging to Spitfire say, "You're still in the lobby!"
"Right! Sorry!" I said blushing. RainbowDash just giggled.
RainbowDash's POV
We went up to our room and sat on the couch.
"I bet you can't wait for Flag football to start, huh?"
"Yep!"
"I can't wait to see you play Princess!"
"Aw. Thanks, Tiger!"
He kissed me and looked me in the eyes.
"I going to win the championship!"
"Confident are we?"

Chapter 1: Farewell Canterlot and Hello Wonderbolts!
RainbowDash’s POV
“Finally,” I thought as my friends and I finished loading my stuff in my car.
“Why are you leaving so early again?!” asked one of my friend Pinkie Pie, while eating a whole cake in one bite. Don't ask!
“I already told you Pinkie, the Wonderbolts Academy requires Freshman to be there at the start of summer,” I responded, obviously annoyed.
“Why, if you don’t mind me asking?” my closest friend Fluttershy asked.
“For Training, duh,” I retorted, “They want me to select 2 sports to play full-time. It’s a Sports School Afterall!”
“Did you at least pack 1 dress, Darling?” My fashion-loving friend Rarity asked.
“Yes,” I said while rolling my eyes, “but only because you made me! I'm not going to wear it.”
“Here,” My friend Sunset Shimmer said while handing me my favorite football gloves. I was planning on giving them to Scootaloo, a young schoolgirl who idolizes me. She's basically my little sister now.
“Thanks, Sunset!” I said.
“We sure are going to miss you, sugar cube.” My friend Applejack said, sadly.
“Me too. I wish we all were going to the same school, but it’s quite the opposite, 7 different ones.” Egghead, I mean Twilight said.
“Yes, but you all can still hang out tell then, and I’m coming back for the 4th of July for a sleepover, okay?” I said.
“I know, but It still sucks.”
“Ya”
“Anyways, I need to get going now,” I said nearly tearing up. NEARLY! I Don’t Cry! Ever!
I gave all my friends a long group hug and was about to get in my car to leave for the Wonderbolts Academy.
“Wait a Minute, Young Lady!” My Mom, Windy Whistles said.
“You’re not leaving without saying goodbye to us, are you?” asked my Dad, Bow Hothoof.
“Oh... Sorry, Mom and Dad,” I said Hugging them, “I love and miss you already!”
“Goodbye Dashie,” my Dad said tearing up.
“Keep it cool Dad, but never change.”
I had one more person to say goodbye to. That would be my young friend Scootaloo, the one I mentioned earlier. I pulled up near her and her friend’s treehouse to say farewell.
Knock. Knock.
“Oh, Heya RainbowDash,” Applebloom, Applejacks Little sister said.
“Hey, Bloom! Is Scoots here?”
“Ya, Come in.”
“Hey, Scoots!” I said trying not to sound sad.
“Rainbow Don’t Go!” She wauled jumping into my arms.
“I know you’re upset, I am too. But, you know I have to go.”
“I know,” She said sadly, breaking my heart.
“But first, I have something for you.”
“Really! What?”
I handed her my Phone Number and my Favorite Football Gloves.
“I-I don’t know what to say!” She said tearing up, “I can’t accept your gloves!”
“Do it for me. Okay, Squirt.”
“B-but they won’t even fit.”
“You’ll grow into them, trust me.”
“O-okay!”
“Goodbye Scootaloo! I’ll see you in July, and I’ll call every now and then,” I said winking.
“Goodbye RainbowDash!”
As I drove away I waived through the window of my car and saw the 3 kids waving back.
‘I miss them already,’ I said to myself, 'All of them'.
“Farwell Canterlot!”
***3 Hours Later***
I decided to stop for Lunch only half an hour away from my place.
I got a text from Suprise, a friend, and teammate from Highschool who is going with me to WBA while eating a sandwich.
-Hey, come to 1977 South Bolt Street, Cloudsdale Equestria!

-Got a place to Stay?
-Was going to get a dorm room
-Don’t
-Why?
-Just Come Please. It’s a Suprise ;)

***1 hour Later***
I pulled up to the Place. It was a pretty nice place.
‘I’m guessing this is just a stupid party!’ I thought annoyed.
I walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. Spitfire another long-time teammate answered.
“Hey, Dash! How’s it going?”
“Uh... Hey, Spit. What are you doing here?”
“I live here, duh.”
“Uh...what?”
“Oh, Suprise didn’t tell you? We got this place for all 14 of us to stay, including you!”
“What?! I couldn’t!”
“Don’t Worry. One of us got a full ride Scholarship and is rich so and got this place for a good deal. It’s also near School so we can walk!”
“Really, Who?
“It’s-” Spitfire was cut off.
“Is she here?” a voice with a lisp said from behind Spitfire.
“Yes,” Spit said to the voice.
“Hey, Fleetfoot,”
“Rainbow!!!” She came up and gave me a hug.
“RainbowDash!!!” A loud Voice said and tackled me as I let go of Fleetfoot.
“Get off her, Suprise,” MistyFly, another friend said.
“Okay!!!”
“How are you Rainbow?” High Winds said as she and Blaze came outside onto the porch and helped me and Suprise up.
“I’m Good. How are you guys?”
“You know we all saw each other last week, Right?” Spitfire asked us.
“Just being polite, Spit,” MistyFly said, “You should try it sometime.”
Spitfire glared at Misty.
We all went inside to where I saw the boys sitting in the giant Living room, doing, well ‘boy things’. Thunderlane, Windwalker, and Wave Chill are on their phones talking while Rapidfire and the Streak Twins were eating some chips at the table.
“Hey Dash,” Spits said,
“What?”
“FireStreak and Blaze finally got together, so did Wave Chill and High Winds.”
“Wow, Finally!” I said.
“Well, that is wierd! Now there are 6 couples here, huh.”
‘She’s Right’ I thought. Fleetfoot has Thunderlane, MistyFly and Windwalker have been dating since freshman year, Surprise and LightningStreak got together at Heart’s Warming and Spit and RapidFire are the power couple, being the captains and all.
“Ya Wierd.”
“Hey Dash, Need help with your bags?” Windwalker said. He was always really helpful.
“Uh. Sure, Thanks!”
“Dash you’re bunking with me, Yay!” Suprise said, really loud, then pointed to a hallway, “Spit and Feet, as well as You and I, are in the first room on the Left, The streak twins, Wave and Wind are in the first on the right, and Rapid and Soarin, as well as Thunderlane, are in the second on the right, and Blaze, as well as Misty and High, are on the last room. Each room has it’s own bathroom and you’ve already seen the kitchen and living room. Oh! They also have their own porches too! How cool is that!?”
Suprise is a lot like Pinkie, she tends to blab on about stuff, like now for instance. Although one name she listed sounded familiar but wasn’t a name I recognized from CHS.
“Dash. Dash. DASH!” Spitfire Said.
“Huh... What?” I must have dozed off.
“We getting your bags or what?” Thunderlane said.
“Oh Right, Ya. Haha,” I said nervously, snapping out of my daydream.
About 20 minutes later I had all my stuff in my room. I sat on my bed and chatted with the girls for a bit.
“Hey Spit, where’s Soarin?” Asked Fleetfoot.
“Oh, he’s out getting Dinner.” She answered, "Pizza I think."
“Who’s Soarin?” I asked.
“You don’t know Soarin Skies?!” Suprise screamed in my ear.
I covered my ears and said, “Name sounds familiar but I can’t put my finger on it.”
“Soarin is a famous singer, kind of like you, but more famous, and plays almost every instrument,” Spitfire explained, “He was in Pre-school with us. You seriously don’t remember him?”
“Not exactly. Love to meet him again.”
"What!? You had a huge crush on him!" Suprise suddenly yelled.
"I did?!"
"Yep! You were obsessed!"
“Well, you do know that the guys are in his band now right?” Spitfire asked.
“What? Really?”
“Yep! Soarin needed people to play instruments for live concerts.”
“What are they called?”
“I think they just go by the Wonderbolts. It’s mostly a small thing now. Soarin said he’s focused more on school and football than music.
“Cool! I’m the same way.”
Then I had to cover my ears again.
“Ya, Soarin is lead guitar and vocals,” Suprise began.
‘Just like me!’
“Just like You!”
‘How did she know I just thought that?’
"You two are perfect for each other!" Fleetfoot said.
"I can hardly remember him!"
"Still."
"Ugh."
“Anyway, my Lightning is the other guitarist” Suprise continued, “Rapidfire is the bass player, Thunderlane plays piano, Firestreak is on drums, Wave chill plays Violin Banjo or flute, and Windrider plays Chello, Tamborine, or any other extra instrument that they might need!”
“Wow.”
“Maybe you and the Rainbooms should have a band battle!” Blaze suggested.
“I don’t know.” I hesitated.
“How come?”
“Last time I had a band battle, it turned out a bit...strange.”
“Yup, I remember.”
“Anyway, let’s go out and wait for dinner,” MistyFly suggested, “I’m hungry!”
“OK!” Suprise screamed.
“I think I’ll go wait on the porch,” I said. I wanted to look up Soarin.
“Okay. Suit yourself.”
