Vintavia Scralody Season 4

Over at The Scratch and Melody residence, Vinyl and Octavia are playing Tireks Revenge where they are playing multiplayer. Suddenly, Octavia pauses the game.

“What was that?” Said Vinyl.

“Time for the 20/20 rule. For every 20 minutes looking at a screen, you should look away for 20 seconds.” Said Octavia.

“Is that really a thing?”

“Of course. These peepers gotta last us a lifetime.” She said, gesturing to her eyes. She turns around and positions Vinyl’s face to do the same. “Oh, hey, look. There's Quibble.”

Quibble is walking to the house across the street.

“What's he doing around here?” Octavia asked.

Quibble meets up with a girl at the door and they hug. She invites him in.

“I'll tell you what he's doing. He's cheating on Clear Sky! I knew it. Underneath that flawless hair and those washboard abs beats the cold heart of a liar.” Growled Vinyl as she cracks her neck, growls and proceeds to go beat Quibble up.

Octavia holds her best friend back. “Slow down there, love. Why don't we wait until he comes out? Then we'll see what's really going on.”

Later, Quibble is leaving the girl's house.

“See you tomorrow, Quibble.” Said the girl who happens to be Junebug.

“Bye.” Said Quibble as he proceeds to leave until Vinyl and Octavia show up in front of him.

“Hey, Quibble.” Said Vinyl suspiciously.

“Uh, hey, guys.” Said Quibble nervously stopping.

“Fancy seeing you here, miles away from your house. And Clear Sky, your beautiful...loyal...girlfriend.” Snarled Vinyl at Quibble.

Octavia holds Vinyl back again. “So, what are you doing here?”

“Uh, I can't really get into that. But do me a favor and please don't tell Clear Sky you saw me here. It's complicated. Thanks. See ya.” Quibble prepares to run off while knocking over some trash cans and chuckling nervously.

“Vinyl, you were right! There's only one thing to do now.” Said Octavia glaring at the runaway Quibble.

“Get ripped, defeat Quibble in hooficuffs, and win back Clear Sky's honor?” Vinyl suggested.

“Uh, no. I was thinking we tell Clear the truth.” Said Octavia.

“To each his own, my friend.” Said Vinyl doing push-ups.

Outside of Clear’s house. Octavia is going to to tell her what she found out and takes a deep breath.

“Here goes nothing.” Octavia said before she can knock on the door.

But before she does so, she hears Clear sky Talking with Quibble on her phone.

“Oh, Quibble. I can't wait for our anniversary date this Friday.” Clear sighed happily.

“I'm counting down the minutes.” Quibble said in a singsong voice.

“4,320!” They exclaimed happily, gasp at this and laugh.

“Oh, we are so clearly soulmates. I literally don't know what I would do without you in my life.” Clear cooed.

Octavia has seen all this and frowns doubting herself about telling the unicorn; she walks away where Vinyl calls her on her phone.

“Come in, Tavi! This is Vinyl. Did you tell her yet?”

“Negative, Vi. It wasn't the right time.”

“There's never gonna be a "right time" to tell Clear that Quibble’s a lowdown, two-bit, snake-in-the-grass cheater.”

The mane 6 approach Octavia shocked from hearing what Vinyl said, startling the gray mare.

“WHAT?! Quibble’s cheating on Clear Sky, tell us everything.” Shouted Rarity.

“You can't just come here and-” Rainbow Dash angrily grabs Octavia by her bowtie. “Okay, okay!” She said angrily.

Segue to Octavia finishing up the details.

“And then he was all like, but don't tell Clear Sky you saw me. It's complicated.” Octavia said mimicking Quibble’s voice.

“That dirtbag!” Rarity growled.

“Now hang on. Although Octavia’s story does seem to indicate that Quibble is a cheating scoundrel, we don't have enough evidence yet.” Said Twilight.

“Twilight’s right. We should plant some.” Rarity suggested.

“Incorrect. We need to gather some.” Said the alicorn.

“Yeah. You can't drop a bomb on Clear without being 1 zillion% sure. She'll end you if you're wrong.” Said Applejack.

“One time, I told her we were out of bread, but then she found a loaf and beat me with it.” Said Dash.

“So, how do you propose we gather this evidence?” Octavia questioned.

“STAKEOUT!” The mane 6 shouted.

At the Scratch and Melody residence, Octavia is checking the house across the street for Quibble.

“Oh. Has Cheater-Cheater-Pumpkin-Eater shown up yet?” Said Pinkie Pie.

“Negative.” Replied the cellist.

Vinyl is working with a punching bag to train for his "showdown" with Quibble. Fluttershy enters with some salmon on a platter.

“I was hoping you would all be hungry.” Fluttershy said offering her friends some.

Twilight enters the house looking scared. “I rigged audio surveillance, but a vicious beast prevented me from installing visuals.”

Flashback to Twilight’s encounter with said beast. Its shadow overlaps her.

“AAH! LARGE WILD ANIMAL!” Cried the alicorn teleporting away.

The beast turns out to have just been a cat at the windowsill.

End flashback with everyone except Pinkie looking at her with disappointment.

“Guys! Here comes the Quib-sled!” Exclaimed the party pony.

The others gather around and see Quibble arriving at the house across the street. He looks around to see if anyone's watching him and they duck down before he sees them. He then enters the house with no one watching.

“Okay, stud muffin, let's just see what you're up to.” Said Twilight sternly.

The alicorn activates the radio and they all gather as romantic music starts playing.

“Ti amo.” Said Junebug

“Ti amo.” Said a mystery voice.

“That's ‘I love you’ in Italian! His cheating ways have crossed the language barrier.” Said the alicorn.

The girl and the boy who is likely to be Quibble kiss. Pinkie gasps and covers her eyes. The mane 6 scream in panic and shut the curtain to avoid being detected.

“I think we've seen enough.” Said Vinyl sternly.

“Let's get him!” Said Octavia with determination in her eyes.

They all charge out of Vinyl and Octavia’s house and stop and gasp to see that the boy in the house the girl was kissing was actually her boyfriend and they just mistook him for Quibble in his silhouette. They duck into the bush.

Pinkie pops up. “Wow. Quibble’s really put on some height.”

Twilight pops up. “That’s not Quibble.”

Vinyl pops up. “What’s going on?”

Octavia pops up. “And who is that?”

The girl and her boyfriend kiss and Quibble steps out of the house as they show their gratitude to him.

“Ooh, I get it. Quibble doesn't have a side-gal. He's just friends with that chick. And Daddy-Long-Legs is her boyfriend.” Pinkie explained.

The mane 6 turn to Vinyl and Octavia, disappointed and frustrated.

“Nice going, you two! Way to waste our time!” Rainbow Dash scolded.

“And our food!” Fluttershy agreed.

The pair shyly smiles.

The next day at the mall's arcade, Vinyl and Octavia are playing on some of the machines until Octavia pauses them.

“What the?” Said Vinyl.

“Time for the 20/20 rule.” Said Octavia.

“Didn't that get us into trouble last time?” Vinyl said unamused.

Octavia obeys the rule while Vinyl does not. The two suddenly notices Quibble at the window.

“Oh, hey, look. There's Quibble.” Said Octavia.

He’s over at a dress shop.

Octavia using binoculars. “What's he doing in a dress shop?”

“Where'd you get binoculars?” Vinyl asked.

A girl comes out a dressing room in a dress.

Vinyl gasps. “Now he's with a different girl?”

“Ha! I knew we were right!” Octavia exclaimed.

The DJ gets furious. “That does it!” She goes over to the gym to get pumped.

“It's all so clear! Quibble is cheating! We just had the wrong girl.” Said Octavia as Vinyl tries lifting a barbell only to end up struggling. It gets caught on her chest and she's grunting. “I know! I'm mad, too!” Still not noticing. “Good! Channel that anger.” She finally takes notices her marefriend. “Oh.” She lifts the barbell off Octavia as she breathes heavily for air. “I’m so sorry, Vinyl.” She said hugging the unicorn.

“It’s just pain, buddy.” Vinyl coughed.

At the dress shop, Quibble and the girl have just finished shopping.

“We're still on for later, right?” Said the mare who happens to be Luster Dawn.

“We're still on for later, right?” Said the unicorn.

“I wouldn't miss it for the world.” Said Quibble.

They hug and leave. Vinyl and Octavia pop up from behind a clothes rack.

“Wouldn't miss it for the world.” Octavia mimicked. “A cheater and a cheese ball.”

“We have to tell the others.” Vinyl suggested.

“But they're not gonna believe us after what happened last time. We need photographic evidence.” Octavia suggested.

“Good point. Let's roll.” Vinyl nodded.

Vinyl leaves, but before Octavia follows, she notices a customer looking for a dress.

The gray mare takes out the purple dress. “How about this one? It'll bring out your eyes.”

The customer takes the dress and likes it and Octavia heads out.

As Quibble gets his bike, another girl comes up and waves to him, showing they obviously know each other. Vinyl and Octavia shoot periscopes upward from the trash cans nearby.

“Wait. Now who's this girl?” Said Vinyl.

“I think we've stumbled onto something bigger than we expected: a multiple cheater cheater pumpkin eater situation.” Said Octavia.

Quibble gets in the carriage. The girls take photos of this before they take off.

“Come on! We have to follow them.” Said Vinyl as she and her marefriend pop out of the cans.

They put on their helmets and bust out Octavia’s tandem bike.

“Tavi, let me do the pedaling. I need to work out my thighs.”

The DJ rings the bell and pedals off as Octavia yelps. She cycles all the way up a hill to the point of fatigue. They arrive at a clear make-out point for teens and find the car of the girl Quibble took off with. They then hide in a shrub and pop their heads out.

“This is a new low. I can't believe he'd take some random girl to Make-Out Hill.” Whispered Octavia to Vinyl.

Vinyl has her phone with her. “We got you know, Pumpkin Eater.” Quibble and the girl are laughing and Vinyl gets a shot of it before they take off. “Follow that car!” As they follow, the girl's car comes to a stop sign and Quibble gets his bag out and they part ways while the pair spy from a mailbox and a cardboard box. Quibble then stops at another house. “Where's he going now?” Said the DJ with the binoculars. Quibble knocks on the door and sees another woman at the door. “This is getting ridiculous!” Vinyl takes of the binoculars. The window Quibble can be seen in is covered up by the curtain.

“Blast. Lost our visuals.” Octavia frowned.

Vinyl then turns her attention to the woman's dog coming out in the backyard and smiles with an idea. Cut to her getting along with the dog.

“Who's a good boy?” Vinyl cooed while patting the dog.

“Not Quibble.” Said Octavia irked.

Vinyl puts a little surveillance camera on the dog's collar. “And scoot!” The dog enters the house and the DJ checks the surveillance on her phone getting a clear shot from the collar camera. “And we're in.”

“Ooh...shaky cam doesn't agree with me.” The cellist said woozy while putting her hoof on the unicorns shoulder to keep her standing.

The camera shows Quibble in the living room with the woman.

“Why don't you slip out of those clothes, and we'll get started.” Said the woman who happens to be Wild Fire.

Quibble starts to take off his clothes and the duo gasp at that.

“I'M NOT ALLOWED TO WATCH NUDITY MOVIES!” Octavia cried while covering her eyes.

The dog gets all the way up to Quibble.

Quibble coos to the dog. “Oh, yes, I love you, too!” He gets licked. “Aw, such a pretty girl.” He kisses the dog.

Vinyl is disgusted. “Disgusting! Now he's crossing species.”

Quibble eventually leaves the house as the two mares then follow Quibble to an alley where he goes down an obscure stairway.

“What is this place?” Vinyl asked.

“Probably some kind of underground club for cheaters.” Octavia guessed.

They go into the "club" and are hiding at a table behind menus looking stern.

“I don't see Pumpkin Eater anywhere.” Vinyl said.

Quibble comes in and starts dancing with a man with a lot of vigor and passion as if it was some kind of romantic dance.

“Man, this guy is full of surprises!” Said Octavia having observed the dance.

The two glare at him as Vinyl takes a picture before Quibble can even look.

They then follow Quibble to a jewelry store where he meets up with a familiar face.

“That's the girl from the mall!” Said Vinyl as they see them go in. “Come on!”

They rush over to the display window and see him holding out a ring and kneeling down before her, which can only mean one thing…

“I can't believe it! He's popping the question!” Octavia cried in horror.

Vinyl takes the picture. “That's it! I'm calling this in, Babe!” She calls the mane 6.

Vinyl and Octavia are showing the others photos they took of Quibble with the other girls and the dancer.

“You believe us now?” Said Vinyl.

“Yes, we’re sorry we didn’t believe you two.” Said Pinkie downtrodden.

“It’s fine, and this is bad.” Said Octavia.

“And to think, poor Clear Sky is at home primping for their date tonight, unaware that their love is a total sham.” Sighed Twilight.

The door is opening up and they all gasp and duck as Quibble and the mall girl come out and Quibble makes a call.

“Is this Uppercrust Italian restaurant? I'd like to make a reservation for tonight. Your most romantic table. We're celebrating something very special.” Quibble grinned.

The others have overheard it.

“Ugh. He's taking her to dinner? He's supposed to be taking Clear Sky!” Said Dash irritated.

“Uh, not to mention he's getting married?” Said Vinyl annoyed.

“We have to tell Clear Sky before it's too late.” Fluttershy suggested.

They all rush back to Clear’s House to warn Clear and enter her room but gasp to find that she's not there.

“It's too late! She must have already left!” Dash exclaimed in fear.

Rarity tries calling her while biting her hoof but gets nothing. “And she’s not answering my phone.”

“Well, if we can't get to Clear Sky, at least we can get to Quibble.” Said Octavia determined.

“I hope he likes eating pumpkin through a straw!” Growled Vinyl.

They all hurry to the restaurant.

At Uppercrust, The gang bursts through the door and looks for Quibble until they spot him.

“There he is!” Said Dash.

They march right up to his table to confront him.

“Well, well, well. If it isn't the Pumpkin Eater. Celebrating your engagement, Quibble Pants?” Snarled Vinyl.

“My engagement? What?” Said the stallion who is baffled.

“Oh, so you're not here with your fiancée? Then who did you bring?” Snarled Octavia.

“The blonde? The guy? The dog?” Exclaimed Rarity.

“It's go-time, Romeo!” Vinyl gets on the table and tugs at Quibble’s tie only to get flung off screaming and crash into a dinner cart.

“Mama mia! The linguini dim sum!” Exclaimed the Italian waiter.

Just then Clear Sky appears right behind. “Uh, what is going on?”

“CLEAR SKY?!” The 8 mares exclaimed in shock.

“What are you doing here?” Said Pinkie.

“What are you doing here?” Said Clear.

“I'm sorry you have to find out this way. Quibble’s been cheating on you.” Said Vinyl.

“What are you talking about?!” Said Quibble and Clear confusingly.

“I'm talking about this!” Exclaimed the DJ as she angrily places the photos he took on the table. “Care to explain?”

“Sure.” Quibble points to a photo of the mall girl. “That's my friend, Luster Dawn, from the department store. She was helping me pick out the dress and earrings I bought Clear.” The gang turn to see that Clear is wearing the exact same dress and earrings. He is now holding the photo of him with the girl in the car. “That's Maria, from my tour guide job. She was showing me the most romantic spots to take Lori to.” He shows the photo of the woman with the dog. “And that's Wild Fire from my dry-cleaning job. She was fitting me for a tux.” He comes across the photo of him with the dancing guy “Oh.” He chuckles. “And that's David. I met him on the bus. He was teaching me how to dance.” He shows a photo of the girl from the house across the street from Vinyl and Octavia’s. “And in case you were wondering, Vinyl and Octavia’s neighbor is Junebug, my co-worker at the pizzeria. She taught me how to order in Italian-Mandarin.”

“Oh, wow. So, I guess we were really wrong about the dog.” Said Vinyl as Clear gives a deadpan look. “Sorry, you guys. We got a little ahead of ourselves.”

Clear becomes furious. “Well, you did almost ruin our anniversary! I oughta beat every one of you!” Upon hearing that, Rainbow quickly hides the bread sticks under the table knowing what's gonna happen. “But, I appreciate all of you looking out for me.” She said calmly grateful.

“So, you're not mad?” Said Octavia.

Clear shakes her head. Dash puts the bread sticks back and eats one.

A chef walks towards them. “Ahem! I hate to break up this lovefest, but how do you intend to pay for my linguini dim sum?”

Later, Quibble and Clear Sky are dancing together, and Vinyl and Octavia are working in the kitchen to work off the mess that they’ve made.

“Hurry up with those kung pao anchovies!” The chef ordered.

“Well, at least all that working out won't go to waste.” Said Vinyl.

The Unicorn struggles to open a jar of anchovies and Octavia takes it and opens it himself, showing her marefriend was turning the lid the wrong way.

“You loosened it, hon.” Said Octavia sympathetically.

The jar opens up and some stinky yucky anchovies appear.

“Uuuuuuugh!” Exclaimed the pair in disgust.
