Youngblood once had a life of poverty. The walls of Canterlot being the edges of the only world he ever knew.

Having risen to the royal family's side, the unicorn lives the life of a noble; or rather, he should. A book, a mare and a whole lot of determination will spur this young stallion into a headlong charge into the unknown, taking some of the residents of the keep with him in his wake.

Set in a time before the elements of harmony, when Celestia and Luna live out their teenage days, Youngblood will embark on the quest of his life. He will have to break from his prison of luxury and table manners, rise to the challenge of The Dark Lord and discover his true purpose.

My first EVER fan fiction, inspired by The Elder Scrolls V, Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin and some of my own feelings too. I need all the help I can get with this one. Please, tell me where I can improve this and how. For now, this shall be a work in progress.

I am also bending some of the Lore with regards to the princesses. To that I say: "It's my story, so #@<> you!"
