Slazic... a country that had lasted a good while within the shadow of Equestria, in relative peace and prosperity. It had been 826 years since the foundation of the Kingdom from a small principality and it's surrounding neighbours.

It all started with Able Night the First with the original principality of Slazic, Slazic you see was inhabited primarily by thestrals and was considered a safe haven for their kind, however it also played host to a significant minority of earth ponies and pegasai something which would be the Kingdoms downfall. But back on track, Able Night set about his conquest and unification of the collection of thestral inhabited areas and the overall geographic area that was contained within the Alkais and Strogra mountains was quickly met with success, quickly sweeping up not only the lands that thestrals dwelled but also a number of pony inhabited areas that happened to lay within the mountain ranges. The Kingdom was proclaimed with Colasvis named as it's capital. Surrounded by mountains it was fairly easy for the Kingdom to keep its independence but with enough passage ways for easy access to the outside world.

Things continued well with Slazic maintaining a strong military culture while also managing to establish a trading network and relative peace with its neighbours (Equestria included) until now. Equestria has started to turn on any nation with ponies within its borders (Thestrals included) and started to fund independence groups within Slazic.
