"Breaking news at this hour. A passenger jet has crashed in the small town of Brightburn, Kansas. Details are still coming in, but there are believed to be no survivors among the 268 passengers on board. Investigators are not yet sure what caused the plane to drop suddenly from the sky and crash into this small family farm. Among the reported dead are the residents of the farmhouse, Kyle and Tori Breyer. They are survived by their 12-year-old son, Brandon", a news reporter said. Brandon was innocently sitting in the back of an ambulance, eating a cookie. No one realized that the cause of the sudden plane crash was the 12-year-old boy. However, there was one thing on his mind: world destruction. Eventually, he walked off, put on his new costume, and flew off. As days progressed, more and more of the world felt the wrath of Brandon Breyer. Suddenly, while he was flying, something knocked him out. He plummeted towards the ground, unconscious.
Brandon has no idea how long he was knocked out for, but he knew one thing: he wasn't on Earth anymore. He wearily stood up. "Where the hell am I?", he asked himself. It seemed like he landed in a library. He looked over at what looked like a mirror. Judging by where he landed, it seemed like he arrived here through the... mirror? No, that couldn't be right. A simple mirror, despite it having crazy science stuff attached to it, couldn't have pulled off something so ridiculous. Suddenly, he heard a voice.
"Hello? Someone there?", the voice said. Brandon assumed a fighting stance, ready to take on whatever charged through the door. However, what he saw only confused him more. It looked like a pony, but it looked more... monstrous than normal. It had wings and a horn. "Oh! Hello. My name is Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship."
"What the hell am I looking at?", Brandon, who was freaking out under the mask, asked himself.
"Are you from Canterlot?", Twilight asked.
"What? No. I'm from outer space", Brandon answered, "and I crash-landed on Earth in 2006, when I was a baby. What is this place?"
"You're in Equestria. It's been five years since we defeated the Legion of Doom", Twilight answered. Brandon saw a newspaper clipping depicting a photo of the now-frozen Legion of Doom.
"You turned a kid into a stone statue?", Brandon asked.
"She tried to destroy Equestria", Twilight answered.
"Oh."
"Where are your parents?", Twilight asked. Brandon knew he couldn't tell her the truth, or else she would see through his charismatic front. He then remembered the plane crash he caused to cover up his crime.
"If you're talking about the couple who adopted me, they got killed in a plane crash. If you're talking about my real parents, then I have absolutely no idea. Like I said, I crash-landed on Earth when I was a baby", Brandon answered.
"What's your name?", Twilight asked.
"I'm Brandon, Brandon Breyer", Brandon answered.
"How did you end up here?", Twilight asked. Brandon pointed to the mirror. "That's impossi... wait. Where are you from?"
"Brightburn, Kansas", Brandon answered. "I got knocked out by what I think was a helicopter, maybe because I wasn't watching where I was going, and somehow ended up here."
"Hmm. So you can fly. What else you got?", Twilight asked.
"Telekinesis, heat vision, superhuman strength, superhuman speed, superhuman intelligence, invincibility, and electronic interference", Brandon answered.
"Whoa. That's... a lot of powers", Twilight responded. Brandon removed his mask, revealing his youthful face.
"I have a feeling that I miraculously found a hidden portal that leads here", Brandon said.
"I'm not surprised. Sunset Shimmer, my human counterpart, and Rainbow Dash's human counterpart miraculously found a portal to Equestria in what Sunset said was quicksand. But they landed in the Everfree Forest, and you landed here", Twilight replied. "So I'm not sure what triggered this specific portal." Brandon analyzed the portal.
"I got nothing", Brandon said. He held his mask in his hands. It had a huge hole.
"I can fix your mask if you want", Twilight said.
"It's okay. I can fix it", Brandon replied. Using telekinesis, he stitched the fabric back together.
"How did you encounter a helicopter, anyways?", Twilight asked.
"It's complicated. I might've caused some destruction in Brightburn, like set trees on fire, destroyed stuff. You know, usual shit", Brandon answered. "I guess you could say I put the 'burn' in 'Brightburn'. AYYYYYYYYYYYY!" Brandon chuckled at his own joke. Twilight couldn't help but smile at Brandon's dark humor. Suddenly, the portal started shaking violently. Brandon turned around. All of a sudden, the portal shut down. "I think my electronic interference powers might've shut down your portal." Brandon put his mask back on and flew off. He flew through the city, filled with colorful ponies. Some had wings, some had horns, some were normal. It felt like a little girl's imagination. The bad stuff must've already transpired. He saw ponies of all different colors. It felt different compared to Earth. However, it wasn't all happy. He saw some ponies that looked like gangsters. Nonetheless, Brandon still felt that this land was interesting. After a while, he flew back to the castle. Night began to fall. At the castle, Twilight was setting the sun and rising the moon. Brandon watched the princess. "Wow. You're more powerful than I thought."
"Get some sleep", Twilight said. Brandon flew into a bedroom. His cape, which was also his blanket, was the same size as him. He crawled into bed, untied his cape, took off his mask, and was out like a light. Twilight walked into the room. This wasn't any bedroom, it was Twilight's bedroom. The preteen peacefully slept. Twilight saw Brandon's mask on a hook. She grabbed it... and smelled it. It smelled like... blood? No, that can't be right. Then again, the boy did say he set trees on fire and destroyed stuff. Twilight was left with a question: who was this kid?
Brandon woke up from his slumber. He was ready to go learn more about this new world. However, he noticed his mask was gone. A dragon was wearing it. "Uh... excuse me? That's my mask", Brandon said.
"Huh?", the dragon replied. He took it off. The dragon somewhat resembled Spyro the Dragon from Skylanders. Brandon put the mask on and flew off.
Back on Earth, the spaceship began pulsating. However, instead of pulsating rhythmically, it started pulsating rapidly, as if trying to frantically message something or someone who was far away.
Back in Equestria, Brandon was flying around, flying as high as the clouds. He was also faster than most Pegasi. Eventually, Twilight caught up with him. "Brandon. There's some ponies I want you to meet", she said. The two flew back to the castle. Five more colorful ponies were there. Twilight introduced Brandon to her friends, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity. The dragon that Brandon saw earlier was Spike. Twilight also revealed that no other being has entered Equestria and retained their original form. "How is this possible?" Brandon shrugged. Suddenly, Brandon's eyes turned bright red as he started hovering and speaking in an alien language.
"Yychhagaro larum ghhol. Yychhagaro larum ghhol. Yychhagaro larum ghhol. Yychhagaro larum ghhol", Brandon said. However, it didn't last long. Twilight, however, wrote down what Brandon said. She translated it... and was horrified.
"Take the world", Twilight said. "He said that four times." However, Brandon was already gone before he could be interrogated.
"They know. They know. I can't kill them, though... or can I?", a conflicted Brandon said to himself. Suddenly, a blast of magic shot him down. "AH!"
In what looked like a laboratory, Brandon woke up, tied to a chair. "HEY! WHAT THE HELL?!", he screamed at a camera.
"We don't want to hurt you. We just need to run a few tests", a pony concealed in black responded. The pony's identity was hidden behind a mask. Enraged, Brandon used his heat vision, but it had no effect. A needle injected a chemical into him, and Brandon went limp. "We can't have you killing us when the tests are in progress." Three hours later, Brandon woke up in the laboratory. He was wired up. He used his super speed to escape, destroying the laboratory in the process. The pony in black looked on. She took off her mask, revealing herself to be Twilight. She had an earphone. "Brightus Burnicus is on the run. Converge." However, Spike, on the other end, was listening to Left Behind by DAGames. He was singing along, though he was inaccurate with some of the lyrics. "SPIKE!!!" As the sound of his sister, Spike immediately knew what was going on and zoomed off.
"HEY!", Spike shouted. Brandon looked back. Spike was on his tail. Brandon did a U-turn and grabbed Spike.
"Why does Twilight want to kill me?! WHY?!" Brandon shouted.
"She just...", Spike started to say, until Twilight arrived.
"ENOUGH!", Twilight screamed. "Brandon, listen. You're from another world. You're mentally unstable." Brandon tossed Spike aside and faced the alicorn. He socked her, but she was unfazed. "We can help you. We can make you become a hero to ponykind." Brandon inched closer.
"I'm no hero", Brandon whispered. "You haven't seen what I've seen. This world needs correction." He snapped her neck.
Back in reality, Brandon woke up. The Mane Six and Spike ran over to him. "Shit. What happened?", Brandon asked.
"Twilight shot you down", Applejack said.
"Sorry", Twilight said. "I think I did something."
"I was in a laboratory, and you were doing experiments on me. What kind of a sick monster are you?", Brandon asked.
"I don't know. Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one", Twilight answered. "That message. I translated it. You said something about taking the world."
"So you know", Brandon said. "I'm the Son of Darkness. My alter ego is Brightburn, named after my hometown. Anyways, in that illusion, I saw terrifying monsters that looked like Pinkie and Rainbow Dash." He looked at the two ponies he mentioned. "I guess you two really are monsters. Heh. It appears that insanity is a problem in Equestria."
"Cozy Glow was definitely psychopathic", Rarity said. "She tried to destroy us!"
"Where's the statue?", Brandon asked. "Maybe I can prevent them from coming back. So that I can claim this world for myself."
"It's... uh... it's sealed in a cage protected by a magical barrier", Twilight said. Brandon stood up.
"Unfortunately, this world will fall... like all the others", Brandon said. He shot his laser eyes upwards, causing the clouds to turn bright red. He flew upwards, past the clouds. "This world... I've never felt such power in a long time." Thunderclouds surrounded him. He unleashed lightning bolts from the gray clouds, singeing the ground. One of the lightning bolts hit the Legion of Doom statue, destroying it. The barrier couldn't block lightning. "TAKE THE WORLD!"
On the ground, the Mane Six were cowering in fear. "Oh, the horror! THE HORROR!", Rarity said dramatically.
"Rainbow Dash, do something!", Twilight said.
"This in an unnatural otherworldly catastrophe! I can't do anything!", Rainbow Dash replied. "This world's gonna descend into absolute insanity! Literally only you can take him down!" Suddenly, Spike flew towards the storm with a cigarette and faced Brandon.
"What're you gonna do, smoke me to death?", Brandon mockingly asked. However, Spike used it as a flamethrower. He used his fire breath on the tobacco, causing a stream of fire to pour out from the cigarette. Thanks to the wind, the fire hit Brandon, knocking him out. He fell towards the ground, but Twilight caught him. However, the storm was still raging, though it was drastically weaker. Rainbow Dash busted the clouds, ending the storm. Brandon woke up. He heard the Mane Six and Spike talking about him.
"What were you thinking?", Fluttershy asked. "He's a goddamn animal! One that I can't tame!"
"Ha! Can't tame 'em all, Fluttershy", Applejack answered. Brandon zoomed off.
"My son", someone said. A figure stood in front of Brandon. "I apologize for everything, but you needed to be safe." Brandon walked closer. It was a creature that somewhat resembled an alien but looked like a human at the same time. "Look at yourself. You're shattered, torn apart. The humans taught you nothing. I've taught you everything I know. Your time has come. Take the world." Brandon hugged his father... his real father. "The energy in this world will alter your powers."
"I figured. The saviors of this world, the Mane Six, will either perish or succumb to me. I had a vision. The blue one and the pink one will succumb. All I need to do is push them off the edge of sanity", Brandon said. As if on cue, Twilight appeared and blasted the father and son... but the beam couldn't touch them.
"Extremely pitiful. Is that the best you can do?", Brandon's father asked. He unleashed a wave of echolocation, causing Twilight to cringe in pain.
"Girls, attack!", Twilight shouted. The rest of the Mane Six appeared and tackled Brandon's father. Rarity stabbed her horn through his chest, causing him to scream in pain. "You can't take on all of us!" However, Brandon picked up his father and flew off, but the extra weight somehow didn't make him slower. "Stop him! If he gets away, Equestria is doomed!"
"Uh, Twilight? He's gone", Spike said.
"SHIT!", Twilight replied.
"If he harms the animals at my sanctuary, I swear to Celestia I'll fucking kill him!", Fluttershy shouted.
In the Everfree Forest...
Brandon landed in an area where the sun was covered by trees. His father was unresponsive. He dug a grave and put his father's body in it. He covered the hole. He put a gravestone that read "Rest In Peace Deathday Breyer, Beloved Father".
"I swear to the Gods above and below, I will take this world and crush it", Brandon said. In despair, he screamed and shot his laser eyes upward, unknowingly signaling his location to the Mane Six. He flew off. The gravesite mysteriously disappeared.
After flying for a while, he found Fluttershy's cottage. An evil grin touched his face. He remembered Fluttershy mentioning that she helped animals. Brandon eventually found Fluttershy's sanctuary for animals. Without a second thought, Brightburn unleashed his rage.
Back in Canterlot, Rarity still had blood on her horn. "That kid can pack a powerful punch", she said.
"We have to stop him one way or another. We killed his father", Twilight said. "Plus, if he somehow turns Rainbow Dash and Pinkie into horrifying monsters, it'll be the beginning of the end." Unbeknownst to everypony else, Fluttershy was gone.
Back at the sanctuary, Brightburn finished off the last of the defenseless animals. He flew upwards. When Fluttershy came back, she screamed so loud that Brightburn's ear drums almost burst. Angel joined his owner. He looked up at Brightburn... and, for some strange reason, gave the supervillain a thumbs up. Then again, Angel isn't the nicest character in the show. "Why? Why would you do this? WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?!", Fluttershy asked the supervillain.
"I'll tell you why. What do you get when you cross a mentally-ill loner with a society that abandons him and treats him like trash?! I'll tell you what you get! You get what you fucking deserve!!!", Brightburn answered. He flew off.
"That doesn't make any fucking sense!", Fluttershy screamed. Blood, gore, and dismembered animal body parts filled the sanctuary. Fluttershy broke down into tears.
Meanwhile, Brightburn was celebrating his victory. He felt alive again. He felt like a predator again. And this was only the beginning. Brightburn could only imagine what will happen now that he had his mojo back. Fluttershy was on top of his shit list, so she would die first. He needed to break her from the inside, and the perfect way to do that was to destroy something she loved dearly. Nothing would stand in his way.
Back in Canterlot...
"We need to stop this guy!", Rainbow Dash said to Twilight. "Before he destroys everything!"
Twilight took a puff on a cigarette. "He's probably in Ponyville right now. I'll think of something", she replied. "If you and Pinkie really are capable of going insane, then you two might wanna stay out of this for your own safety."
"Fine", Rainbow Dash said.
"Are the others safe in their guest rooms?", Twilight asked.
"Yes", Rainbow Dash answered.
"Good", Twilight replied.
"We have a problem, though. Fluttershy is in Ponyville as well. She's in grave danger", Rainbow Dash said. Twilight tossed the cigarette aside with a horrified expression.
"Shit. Shit!", Twilight said. "Make sure no one else leaves. I'm going after Fluttershy." She flew off.
Back in Ponyville, Brightburn was hiding in the darkness, making him virtually invisible. An angry Fluttershy scanned the area, but she couldn't find the villain. "Where are you?", Fluttershy asked. Brightburn was obviously planning an attack... but not here. He remembered how he killed Erika. He wanted to do the same thing, including take Fluttershy's body, so as to leave the rest of the Mane Six confused. Very quietly, he snuck up behind Fluttershy.
"Hello, motherfucker", Brightburn whispered. This caused Fluttershy to freak out. She flew off, but Brightburn immediately caught up to her and socked her. He used his heat vision, but Fluttershy dodged the attack. He grabbed her wings and ripped them off her body. Fluttershy screeched in agonizing pain. Blood spilled from the dismembered wings. Brightburn roared as he chased the downed Pegasus through town. A downed Pegasus... is a dead Pegasus. He used his super speed to terrorize Fluttershy during the chase. There was literally nowhere to run. Eventually, he captured her. However, the enraged Pegasus kicked Brightburn in the groin.
"OOH! Right in the knicker-knackers!", Fluttershy said. She continued to attack Brightburn. "You get what you fucking deserve!!!"
"You have some nerve. Attacking me, an extraterrestrial being. I am invincible, you little shit", Brightburn said. He was hardly bruised. In the blink of an eye, he attacked Fluttershy, knocking her unconscious.
Fluttershy woke up in what looked like a hospital. Everything was dark, so she wasn't sure where she was. Lights were flickering up above, briefly revealing hospital beds with the blood of dead ponies splattered on them. "What the fuck?!", she shouted in terror. She timidly walked through the darkened halls. More lights continued to flicker, sometimes revealing Brightburn in the distance.
"Like a lamb to a slaughter", Brightburn said quietly. He caused one of the glass fixtures to shatter, sending the shards down... and onto Fluttershy's face.
"AGH!", she screamed. One of the shards hit her left eye, causing unbearable pain. She pulled it out, but her vision was now blurred. Her left eye was bleeding, affecting her vision. Half of what she saw was colored red. Her face was filled with cuts from the glass. Without a second thought, she did the only thing she could do: run. She found the electrical system and smashed it. Brightburn had heat vision, not night vision.
"Huh? What the hell?", Brightburn said. He tried a light switch. Nothing. "Damn pony." He went to what looked like a monitor room and, using his powers, activated the cameras. Fluttershy went into a closet. "Got you."
In the closet, Fluttershy was cowering in fear, hoping that she was safe from the terror that lurked outside. However, she heard a whoosh outside. She backed up. A beam of heat was cutting through the door. The beam went downwards, slicing the door in half. Ultimately, the two halves were blown backwards, revealing the malevolent figure clad in red. Fluttershy backed up against a wall. Brightburn leaped at her.
In the morning, Twilight arrived in Ponyville. She went to Fluttershy's house, but she only saw the dead animals and Fluttershy's dismembered wings. "What the hell happened here?", Twilight asked herself, even though she already knew the answer. Angel had committed suicide by hanging himself because of his owner's death. She flew back to Canterlot and informed the others of the tragedy that transpired.
Back in Ponyville, after burning the hospital to the ground, Brightburn went into Applejack's cellar with an unconscious Fluttershy and locked the door. He pinned her to a wall and hammered knives into her arms, causing her to screech in pain. However, no one could hear her. Brightburn proceeded to ultimately kill Fluttershy by stabbing knives into her eyes. He ripped open her stomach and used the blood to draw his mirrored BB symbol on the wall. He walked out of the cellar with a satisfied grin on his face. In order to make sure no one found the body, he locked the cellar with an impenetrable lock. "That took longer than expected. I think I'll need some help", he said to himself. He flew off. "I can't just summon another storm. They'll stop me again. I need some backup." He then noticed something odd about the weather factory. He felt like he's seen it before... but where? He flew up to the factory, and his eyes widened with terror. "Impossible." He recalled reading a story called Rainbow Factory when he was younger. That story scared him as a kid. He then remembered the illusion... and put two and two together. If he wants to turn Rainbow Dash insane, he'd need to recreate Rainbow Factory. The same thing goes for Pinkie Pie, too, though he might have to alter the story. He needed Rainbow Dash to be alive, not dead. He flew to Twilight's old castle and perched on the top.
Back in Canterlot...
"She did call him a goddamn animal", Rarity said.
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean she had to die!", an emotionally depressed Twilight responded.
"Where's Spike?", Applejack asked.
"In the Dragon Lands. He'll be safe there", Twilight answered.
"If we want to avenge Fluttershy, we need to act now", Rainbow Dash said. "That monster just murdered our friend, and we can't just sit around doing nothing."
"He's invincible. How do we kill an enemy we can't hurt?", Twilight asked.
"By catching him by surprise", Rainbow Dash answered.
Understanding that Pinkie was the easiest pony to manipulate and turn to the dark side, Brightburn built a replica of the location used in Cupcakes deep inside the School of Friendship. Now, he just needed to recreate the Rainbow Factory. However, as he exited the School, he found the remaining members of the Mane Six waiting for him. "Really?" An annoyed Brightburn immediately attacked, leading to a five-on-one brawl. Despite his best efforts, Brightburn was taken down by the ponies. "You don't have any proof that I killed Fluttershy. Is it because I'm alien? Fucking racists." Twilight blasted him, sending him flying 50 yards.
"You killed her animals!", Twilight shouted.
"Did I?", Brightburn asked. "I mean, you could've done it."
"Impossible. She was with us", Applejack retorted.
"Did you see my symbol near the animals?", Brightburn asked. Twilight, who had no idea how to answer, unleashed a mighty blast of magic. Brightburn blocked it with his arm. "Primitive." He directed the blast back to Twilight, who got sent flying. "So uncivilized." He punched Applejack in the groin. "Oh, ho ho ho ho! Oh, you didn't see that one coming, did you, grandma? Them's street rules!" He then grabbed Pinkie and held her in a chokehold. "If you value her life, you'll leave us alone. I have no intention of killing her, but she will die if you choose wrongly." He charged up his heat vision just in case. Twilight's eyes darted from Brightburn to Pinkie. With a furious gaze, she backed down. "Good. Very good." She and the others walked off. Applejack was in excruciating pain.
"My pingas...", Applejack said, which was weird, since she didn't have a pingas.
"Wait!", Pinkie shouted, but Brightburn covered her mouth.
"Shut up", Brightburn said. With Pinkie still in a chokehold, he walked off with the terrified pony.
Back at Fluttershy's sanctuary, the dead animals were in specific positions that made up Brightburn's symbol. However, Twilight was too dumb to realize. That or she was extremely terrified by what happened.
Back in Canterlot...
"Who knows what Bran... I mean Brightburn is planning to do with Pinkie", Twilight said.
"He said he didn't have any intention of killing her, so maybe she's safe", Rarity said.
"Isn't it obvious? He's the last of his kind. He's going to impregnate her!", Rainbow Dash said.
"Impossible. Different species", Twilight responded.
Back in the School of Friendship...
Pinkie ran from the villain, who was hot on her heels. She had somehow squirmed out of his grasp and gunned it. "Get back here!"
"No! I won't let you have sex with me!", Pinkie shouted. Brightburn stopped with a confused look.
"Uh... what?", he asked. "Are you on drugs or something? I'm a fucking 12-year-old, not some rapist. I'm a world-destroying supervillain, not a bachelor or whatever a single man is called!"
"Then why do you want me?!", Pinkie asked. Brightburn used his telekinesis to levitate her.
"You'll see", he answered. He flew off, with Pinkie trailing behind him.
"This is not gonna end well for me, is it?", Pinkie asked.
"Maybe it will end well for you... if you do what I say", Brightburn answered. However, he felt a dark presence within Pinkie. "What the..." He dropped her. She looked a little... insane. "I've read enough Batman comics to know where this is going!" She had a crazed grin. She took a knife from her mane. She slashed at Brightburn. "Whoa! What the hell?!" He used his telekinesis to bash the insane pony around. "I wanted insanity, but not like this!" She threw her knife, nearly stabbing Brightburn. He continued to bash her. Eventually, Brightburn delivered a finishing blow to the jaw, sending the insane pony flying. "Now, let's try this again." He levitated the unconscious pony and flew off with her, her jaw still dripping with blood. Pinkie regained consciousness and slugged Brightburn in the pingas. His pupils shrunk as he screamed like a little girl.
"Or try that again!", Pinkie said. Her jaw repaired itself.
"You... bitch!", Brightburn shouted. He grabbed the knife that Pinkie threw and stabbed her in the head with it, giving her a malformed look. He then stabbed her through the heart. "Enough! You will do as I say or die!" He walked off with the unconscious pony in his arms. He brought her to the replica. "Arise, my monster." He gently strapped her onto the torture table. However, he then realized that the tools in the story were... not what he expected. "Oh, fuck me." He picked up a scalpel and examined it in his hand. He looked at the other weapons, some more dangerous than others, like a chainsaw. "Maybe I can use these." He got to work. As he "fixed" Pinkie, her blood splattered on his face. He couldn't use his telekinesis in case something went awry. He held up the chainsaw. "Kids, don't try this at home." Using the scalpel to trace a hole in the pony's head, he used the chainsaw to cut the hole. However, the blood got in his eye. "AAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!! SWEET LORD OF THE RINGS! Cut! Got pony blood right in my open eye!" He wiped it off and resumed working, this time with his mask on. Using his telekinetic powers, he altered Pinkie's sanity to match her sanity in Cupcakes... with some slight modifications. Eventually, the work was done. Pinkie reassembled herself, but her personality was altered. She still had a passive look in her eyes, but hidden behind her eyes was a monster with a thirst for blood and gore. Everything about this new Pinkie looked innocent and cute. "YES! ARISE, MY MONSTER!!!" He freed her from the torture table. "Let's go. We need to recreate the..." Pinkie was gone. "Eh, I'll do it myself." He flew off.
Back in Canterlot...
Pinkie approached the castle... knife in hoof. "Time to die..."
"We need to find Pinkie. Who knows what that monster did to her", Twilight said.
"Found her", Applejack said. Pinkie was in front of the castle.
"RUN!!!", Twilight yelled. The foursome ran for their lives as Pinkie entered the castle.
As Pinkie stalked the castle, she seemed to smell where the ponies ran off to. She had one goal: find Rainbow Dash and bring her to Brightburn. In her usual Pinkie way, she sniffed the ground. She picked up a scent. "Let's play, little ponies!" She was closing in on Rarity, who was in a closet. She creepily smiled towards the closet door... and opened it. "Hi." Rarity let out a bloodcurdling scream as Pinkie slowly closed the door. She sniffed the ground again. She picked up another scent. She followed it. She found Twilight hanging from the ceiling like a bat. She attempted to reach her, but Twilight was too high up. "I just wanna PLAY, Twilight!"
"No! Get away from me!", a terrified Twilight replied. Pinkie's grin turned maniacal as she jumped and managed to grab Twilight. "No! No!" Twilight managed to shake Pinkie off... but not before getting bitten by her. Blood leaked from the wound. Pinkie continued to hunt. She picked up yet another scent, but it was stronger than the others. She followed the scent and found Applejack hiding in a guest room. However, the room was locked. Moving on, Pinkie picked up one final scent... Rainbow Dash's scent. She eventually found Rainbow Dash. She bit her tail, and Dash let out a bloodcurdling scream. The others sprang into action. Pinkie happily pranced away with Dash in tow. The others were dumbfounded.
"So... we're not gonna ignore the fact that Pinkie just dragged Dash out of here?", Applejack asked. Without a second thought, they ran after the pink pony and her captive.
Meanwhile, Brightburn was turning the weather factory into the Rainbow Factory. All he needed now was a Pegasus Device... which would literally take forever to build. However, as he built the Rainbow Factory, the Device slowly started to assemble itself. Soon enough, an enormous factory replaced the weather factory. The Rainbow Factory was ready to kill. Electricity crackled through the alien as he unleashed his power on the Pegasus Device, powering it up. "Now I've awoken, and I'm taking back control."
Meanwhile, Pinkie was literally running from her pursuers, with Rainbow Dash still in tow. She threw her knife into Twilight's eye, but the alicorn was unfazed. "Shit!", Pinkie shouted. "Get me out of here, or die!" Rainbow Dash had no choice but to comply. "See ya, suckas!"
Back at the Rainbow Factory, Brightburn was waiting for Pinkie Pie. Soon enough, she arrived with Rainbow Dash. Brightburn gave Pinkie the ability to walk on clouds. Fortunately, the extra weight while flying tired Rainbow Dash out. "Excellent work, my little pony. Now..." He picked up Rainbow Dash. "...let's talk." Suddenly, a blast of magic sent Brightburn flying. "What in the-" After seeing what was going on, Brightburn glared at Twilight. "You want her? Come and get her, then!" The supervillain ran for it with Dash in tow, and Twilight chased him. Pinkie tackled her, allowing Brightburn to activate the weapon. The Pegasus Device roared to life. "Yes. It has begun." Seeing this, Rainbow Dash's eyes flashed white. She collapsed. "Arise, my monster." Rainbow Dash's eyes shot open. She and Pinkie have gone insane. They grinned maniacally at Twilight, who, in fright, flew off. "The destruction of Equestria has begun. Dash, I need you to collect ponies to fuel the Device. Pinkie, I need you to help me with the wiring. Something about the Device seemed off when I turned it on." Dash flew off, and Pinkie and Brightburn got to work.
It turned out that Spike was messing with the wiring in the Pegasus Device. Brightburn grabbed the dragon and killed him by using his heat vision to blow his brains out, similar to how he killed Kyle Breyer. "Shit. He burnt some of the wiring!", Brightburn said. "Uh... crap. Crap." He took out the burnt wiring and tossed it aside. The wiring was then automatically replaced. "Well, isn't that convenient. I might want to help Rainbow Dash with killing the ponies." He flew off.
Meanwhile. the now-insane Rainbow Dash was killing Earth ponies by making them fall to their deaths. How? Similar to how Brightburn killed Tori Breyer. "Time to die!", Rainbow Dash yelled. Suddenly, somepony stabbed Rainbow Dash's through the heart. Brightburn looked on in horror as the blue Pegasus collapsed. The killer was Twilight. Using his telekinesis, Brightburn levitated the dead ponies and flew off.
At the Rainbow Factory, Brightburn used the ponies to fuel the mighty Pegasus Device. He told Pinkie Pie that Rainbow Dash was dead and that he was sorry for sending her out there alone. "A long dead dream finally reawoken", Brightburn said. Rainbow Dash, apparently still alive, flew in. Apparently, becoming insane made Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash invincible. "Ultimate power shall be mine! MY REVENGE IS ON THE HORIZON! NOPONY CAN STOP ME! THE END IS UPON US! IT'S TIME FOR EQUESTRIA TO BURN!" Lightning flashed in the sky as the Pegasus Device roared to life and started to create the Rainbow of Doom, an otherworldly laser that can destroy Equestria. Six large tubes started filling up with the colors of the rainbow.
"Yes. It had begun", Brightburn said. After the dead ponies had their colors taken away, they were then put into a crusher that reduced them to nothing but blood and gore. Among the dead ponies were the Cutie Mark Crusaders, the Wonderbolts, the Washouts, and the schoolhouse children. "Fuel in the tank. You know, it's sad that these ponies have become pawns of my bloody and visceral weather game of chess. But sometimes, you have to go insane to get what you want." Soon enough, the Rainbow of Doom was complete. Brightburn fired the deadly laser at the star at the top of Twilight's old castle. The laser reflected off the star and hit the ground. The ground began to erupt molten lava as buildings started to crumble. Equestria was burning. "YES! I HAVE WON!" However, he knew that the rest of the Mane Six were still standing in his way. "It's time to finish the job!" He flew off with his insane companions looking on. He flew high into the sky and overloaded himself with electricity. "It's time to hunt them down."
Everycreature was freaking out like there was no tomorrow. Well, their world was on the brink of destruction, so they were pretty much screwed. The lava was burning down various buildings and ponies were being burned alive. The malicious supervillain and his two cohorts smiled at the destruction and mayhem that was plaguing Equestria. "Yes! Fear me, Equestria! Fear the almighty Brightburn!", he bellowed victoriously.
"It's too late", Twilight said to Rarity as they helplessly watched their beloved world burn to the ground. "Pinkie and Rainbow Dash are on his side, Fluttershy is missing, and Spike is dead! I guess sending Applejack home wasn't a good idea."
Back at the barn, Applejack saw Fluttershy's dead body in the cellar. What Brightburn didn't know was that Applejack's strength matched his own, so breaking the lock was no problem.
"Twilight, you're basically the ultimate life-form. You can take him down, no problem, right?", Rarity asked.
"I can try", Twilight asked. She flew towards the Rainbow Factory. Pinkie and Rainbow Dash saw the hero arriving and attacked. Twilight easily defeated them.
"So... you've finally decided to fight me", Brightburn said. He flew down to the pony.
"Why are you doing this?", Twilight asked.
"It's my destiny, Sparkle. I was born to conquer. I was born to destroy", Brightburn answered. He fired the laser at Twilight, but she was able to withstand it. "Primitive. Fluttershy and Spike are dead, Pinkie and Rainbow Dash are on my side, and all hope is lost! Face it, Twilight! You have lost!" He used his heat vision, but Twilight wasn't affected. "How are you not dead?!"
"I am the ultimate life-form, Brandon", Twilight answered as she fired a beam of magic at the supervillain, sending him flying back.
"Do you even know who I am?!", Brightburn asked. "I am Brightburn, Son of the Darkness!"
Twilight was terrified by the song, which revealed everything there was to know about Brandon Breyer/Brightburn. "So... you really are a monster?", Twilight asked.
"That's right", Brightburn answered. "My ultimate goal is to destroy this world and eradicate everyone on it."
"You know I can't let you do that", Twilight replied, assuming a fighting stance. Brightburn just smirked and also assumed a fighting stance.
"Let's dance", Brightburn said. He grabbed Twilight and threw her outside, engaging her in an air battle, fighting high above the burning Ponyville. As they clashed, they both took heavy hits as they were evenly matched in terms of strength. "You cannot reverse what has happened, Twilight! The world as you know it is gone!"
"Then I'll fight till the bitter end!", Twilight replied. They slammed into each other, sending them both flying backwards. Brightburn grabbed Twilight and threw her towards the ground. She fell into the lava... but flew out unscathed. "I AM THE ULTIMATE LIFE-FORM!!!"
"Son of a bitch", Brightburn muttered to himself as he charged at the pony. He delivered a hard punch to the pony's jaw, and she briefly lost control of her flying before kicking her opponent in the groin, causing him to scream in pain. He grabbed her horn and attempted to pull it off so she couldn't use any magic. He succeeded and blood spilled out of the broken horn. However, she could still fly. In a fit of rage, he grabbed the pony, and, with all his might, ripped her in half in the style of Juggernaut from Deadpool 2. "DIE! DIE! DIE!" Her organs spilled out and fell into the lava. Both halves of the body fell into the lava as well. The Princess of Friendship was dead. Brightburn was out of breath. "Finally! That... was epic. Well... there's two left. The white horny one and the orange one. The white one can use magic, so I'll have to deal with her first." He flew back to the Rainbow Factory. "Pinkie, Dash, listen. There's still two more of your friends remaining. You two will need to man the factory." Brightburn flew off.
Back at the castle, Rarity was extremely well-hidden. The castle was literally the only building that couldn't be burnt down. She saw the fight between Brightburn and Twilight, with the supervillain winning. Frightened, she hid in the castle. The young supervillain was inside the castle, looking for Rarity. "Come out, come out, wherever you are", Brightburn said. "We both know there's no escape from the inevitable. You're all alone, Rarity. Why can't you just accept your fate?" Suddenly, a blast of magic hit Brightburn, knocking him unconscious. Rarity emerged from her hiding spot and ran. Brightburn regained consciousness. "Oh, God, that hurt. Jesus." He got to his feet. He heard Rarity running. He bared his teeth as he glared down the hallway. He chased the unicorn. "This is for my father!" The enraged supervillain continued his relentless pursuit. Rarity continued to run for her life, determined to try and restore hope.
Rarity eventually turned invisible. "What in the...", Brightburn said. "Where'd she go?!"
"Show your fucking face and fight like a man!", Brightburn yelled. "All hope is gone! My vanquish has won!" He used his strength to tear the castle apart, making it weaker as it started to catch fire. "This ends now!" He saw Rarity, who was making footprints as she ran. He grabbed her and banged her against a wall. Blood spilled out of her mouth and nose. Brightburn ultimately threw Rarity into the molten lava, killing her and avenging Deathday. The castle ultimately broke down and melted into nothingness. He flew upwards to get an overhead view of the burning world. He grinned maniacally.
Back at the Rainbow Factory, the Pegasus Device was powering down. It didn't matter anyway because Brightburn had accomplished something no other villain in the show has: destroy Equestria and its protectors. "The era of Brightburn has begun!", the supervillain bellowed. His costume even got an upgrade. He was now fully decked out in a blood red outfit, including the mask and cape. "NOW, ALL WILL FEAR ME!" He started killing creatures left and right. His relentless carnage couldn't be stopped.
Applejack was apparently still alive. Her cellar provided enough protection from the destruction outside. Fluttershy, Spike, Twilight, and Rarity were all dead, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash had sided with Brightburn, and Equestria was burning. The only thing Brightburn saved from the castle was the portal to the Equestria Girls' world. That was his next target. Filled with determination, Applejack left her cellar. Some of the lava had hardened, so she leaped across the burning sea of lava using the hardened lava as pads. Brightburn saw the pony nearing the Rainbow Factory. He raced after her. However, he was too late. Applejack had made it to the Rainbow Factory and tied Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie up. Brightburn glared at the orange pony as he floated outside the Rainbow Factory. "Let... them... go", he said. He used his heat vision, but Applejack expertly evaded the attack. Brightburn untied his companions. "Sorry I left you two alone. I forgot to mention that Applejack has enhanced strength." Applejack tackled the supervillain. They rolled on the floor trading blows. Applejack almost fell off the factory, which was obviously in the air, but she managed to save herself from falling into the lava below.
"This is my world. And I'm going to protect it with my dying breath!", Applejack said. She charged at the supervillain and head-butted him, sending him flying backwards. However, Brightburn stood his ground and delivered a hard punch to the pony's face. The duo continued to battle through the factory as it started to crumble because of the incinerating temperature outside.
Because she can't fly, Pinkie Pie almost fell into the lava, but Brightburn saved her. Rainbow Dash grabbed the portal and flew off. However, Applejack used a rope to grab Rainbow Dash. The Pegasus Device ultimately fell through the floor and into the lava. It exploded, sending lava everywhere. "Well, shit", Brightburn said. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah. Thanks", Pinkie said.
"You're not going anywhere!", Applejack shouted. Brightburn grabbed the portal and flew off as Rainbow Dash and Applejack battled. "Brightburn couldn't even beat me! What makes you think you can?!"
"Because I can fly", Rainbow Dash answered. She used the rope to hammer-toss Applejack outside. The farm pony landed on a pad of hardened lava and faced her foe. More lava started to harden as it engulfed the rest of Equestria. Suddenly, a pair of thin beams pierced Applejack's body. Brightburn was using his heat vision on Applejack. The orange pony fell to the ground, finally dead.
"Finally", Brightburn said. He and his companions looked around at the dystopian wasteland with a grin on his face. Brandon removed his mask, revealing his youthful face. "Now... it's time for the next world." However, the portal had disappeared. "Uh... you guys wouldn't happen to know what happened to the portal, would you?" Suddenly, something attacked Brandon, sending him flying backwards. He slid across the ground. "What in the..." He looked up. "Impossible!" Brightburn put his mask back on and glared at a fully-resurrected Twilight, who had survived the attack. She used her magic to revert Pinkie and Rainbow Dash back to normal. They looked around in horror. "No!" However, the two ponies still attacked Twilight. They can change their eye color to trick other ponies. They were faking their horrified expressions.
"You can't undo what's already been done, Twilight!" Pinkie yelled as she tackled her former ally. However, Twilight's attack severely injured the supervillain. He fell to the ground. Rainbow Dash ran to his side. His suit was tinged black.
"That doesn't look good", Brandon said as he took off his mask. He eyed a hole in his suit. He looked at Rainbow Dash. Without thought, he kissed her on the lips. Her eyes went wide, but they wrapped their arms around each other as the kissing became more passionate. Electricity flowed through their bodies. They separated. "You're literally the only one who can keep up with me." They embraced tightly. "I love you, Rainbow Dash."
"I know. I know", Rainbow Dash responded. In the background, Pinkie killed Twilight by breaking her horn off and stabbing her with it. Twilight was killed by her former friend. How ironic. Brightburn then flew into the sky and used the portal to go to Earth. Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash reverted back to normal and looked around in horror at the dystopian wasteland. "What have we done?" Suddenly, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash were crushed to death by the falling mirror.
