Chapters Transported from the owner
Flaming Star and Flash Sentry were ready to beat each other down, and they started arguing.
“I’m tired of you and your big mouth, and if you are not going to shut it I might have to shut it for you!” Flash Sentry was really outraged; I’d never seen him like this before.
“I’d like to see you try, just don’t end up wiping the floor like last time, OK?”
Flash took the opportunity to grab Flaming Star by his collar.
“I make sure I wipe up the floor with –“
Flash was in mid-sentence when Prof. Skull Mustache took both him and Flaming Star by the ear. They both cried out in pain.
“Well, I think I have a better idea. Why don’t you two sit down, or I’ll make sure both of you wipe up the whole school for the next week!” I know that Flame is hot headed but Flash Sentry haven’t had any classes from Prof. Mustache or else they didn’t know he was the one teacher at Canterlot High that you do not want to mess with. Long story short, both of them quickly backed down and took seats in the class, even if they were supposed to be in some other class. By the time class was dismissed, their ears were still red.
“From now on,” Professor Mustache added, “you all better behave yourself in my class, since if I see such things, I won’t ignore it!”
After the class, Twilight told me that we are having another magic session. We all went to the music room; I was the last to arrive since I stopped off at the cafeteria and got a sandwich and some juice to try and get back to normal after missing several meals yesterday. It’s just as well that they scheduled the session during the second break period. Steely had his board ready and had his marker in his hand.
As we all sat down, Steely brought out a ball shape device, and Twilight started to draw somethings on the board. After we were all settled, Steely started to speak.
“So, in all the experiments we had, and looking at the invention that Twilight made for seeking magic and absorbing it, we came to a conclusion and a better way to store magic. So let me explain how Twilight’s device works and then we get to talk about this one.” He held the mechanic ball up so we could see it.
After that Twilight started to explain: “So, we all have necklaces made from geodes we found in the quarry at Camp Everfree. But it’s not like the geodes give us the powers; we’ve already demonstrated that we have them.”
“Like durin’ the Friendship Games!” Applejack added.
“And when we took on those meanie Sirens!” Pinkie Pie shouted.
“But when we ponied up during the Games, then…” Fluttershy stopped herself and looked at Twilight, who was blushing. “Oh … I’m sorry ….”
“It’s in the past, Fluttershy,” I said. “Twilight’s apologized for what she did with our magic, so let’s move on, OK?”
“Anyway,” Twilight said, trying to get her thoughts back on track, “experimenting with magic like that led us to the conclusion that when we pony up, we give off a lot of magical energy and therefor we can be tracked. But another downside was that it drained a lot of magic, more than it could handle.”
Steely Armor than showed us a blueprint. “But, with this, we won’t have those problems.”
“PARTY BALL!”
“No, Pinkie,” Twilight said. “Steely Armor?”
“I’ve named it The Collector Orb, and it is way safer than that necklace since it only absorbs a little amount of the magic that we have, and it will only activate when we have ponied up. On top of that, it gives us the ability to change the crystals so it won’t be overcharged.”
Just when he finished, Twilight had done the drawing of the Orb on the board. Then she started to speak again.
“So, in other words, it has almost no downside, except that it’s a little big and heavy. But with it we can at least test the theory we have!” That sounded interesting, and the description of the Collector Orb sounded safer.
“And what is that?” Rarity asked.
“Well, last time we discovered that magic depends on the owner and it does not brings the ability by itself. We also learned that if it gets into an object, the object would get enchanted with some magical effects, too. However, as far as we have experienced, we’ve only seen that the magic that enchanted the object has never been in use of someone or something else. Therefore it only had blank effects such as making a void or transporting stuff to a not very far distance. But we believe that, if the magic had found its owner and got shaped and gained the form, it was going to be used and after that be transformed into an object, and that object might obtain the same shape and ability.”
That just blew my mind! I mean, it actually made sense in a way, but we needed to see it for ourselves to be completely sure.
“But, hey,” Rainbow Dash said, “Don’t we need to get some magic in that thingy first?”
Steely Armor smiled, like he was confident about what he was going to say.
“Fun fact: we do have some magic inside it right now!”
To tell you the truth, some of us had gotten lost during his explanation. But as soon as he said that, we all got shocked back and were paying closer attention than before.
“A few days ago, Flame and I did some experiments, and in the middle of all that he ponied up and I managed to activate it just in time to absorb some of his magic. Thought here is a problem.” He put the Orb Away and continued talking again. “We can’t recharge it very often since you all happen to pony up at the same time, which makes the device absorb an amalgamation of all your magic. We just can’t study that easily, and the other problem is only Flame ponied up a couple of times and we actually don’t know what triggers it. So we should pick our object carefully, since it is likely to gain his fire burst ability. Remember, Spike only gain the ability to talk by having a part of Fluttershy’s magic pass through him.”
“I could always talk, you just couldn’t understand me,” Spike said as he walked forward and brought up his paw.
“Point taken,” Flaming Star said as he bent to shake Spike’s paw. “But to be honest, I don’t think any of your powers would mesh very well with a fire starting ability.”
“Ooh ooh!” Pinkie Pie said as she waved her arm as if waiting to be called on in class, “what if you enchant a fire place with it? That way you won’t need fuel to fire it!”
“I’m pretty sure we won’t need something like that, darling.” Rarity said.
“How about an oven?”
The session ended afterwards. It seemed to me they were up to something. But after all of that, I was either sleeping in the class, or nodding off in class. I understood nothing. Literally nothing. Till lunch.

The next day, I woke up feeling OK. I had gotten enough sleep and was ready to start the day. I wore my new jacket, boots and jeans. A new look for a new day.
I met up with the girls in the morning and they all appreciated my new look.
“New look, huh?” Twilight said.
“Well, I’ve been wearing the same outfit for quite a while now.”
“Yeah, I don’t think I will miss being impaled by your spikes whenever I hug you.”
“They were actually kind of … sharp,” Fluttershy said.
“Heeey, good lookin’! “ Applejack said, but did not continued the song.
Even other student seemed impressed by my new look. But today I needed to talk to Flaming Star about our project since we haven’t worked on it for about two days. I decided to talk to him after class but then I remembered that I promised to wear gloves which I didn’t have. So I asked Rarity if she had any gloves with her. I don’t know why I was surprised that she did. At least we didn’t have to scrounge up a pair from the backstage Costume closet.
They were white, which meant that they totally clashed with my look so I decided to just put them on when I wanted to talk to him. Thankfully, Mr. Cranky Doodle was holding the class this time. I didn’t think that one day I will miss him.
“So how was yesterday, kids?” he said. And just after that I saw Flaming Star and Flash Sentry both hold their ears. They weren’t about to admit they might still feel sore. Boys!
After the class I put on the gloves as fast as I could so I could catch up with Flaming Star, but just when I wanted to call to him he was gone. So I headed back to my locker and I thought that maybe I should look for him in the Music Room. But when I opened my locker and saw what was inside, I forgot everything else.
It was gift box with a note! From Flaming Star!
I took the gift box and looked at it. It was red, about the size of a small book. I took the note in my hand to read it:

It was nice of him to apologize, sort of. But after I read the note, I opened the gift box to see what was inside.
I was shocked, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing! It was an 800tK! The phone I could only see myself owning in my dreams! That’s when I realized I had shouted it out loud! Everyone in the hallway looked at me, and not for my new look, either. Even if it was awkward, I couldn’t keep in the excitement of my new phone! If I had saved up for, well, forever, I still couldn’t buy something like that.
That whole day I was in shock by what I had gotten from Flaming Star; as a result I couldn’t focus on any of my classes. I even told the girls about it and talked a lot about how cool it is. However, I still couldn’t believe I’d gotten such a thing from Flaming Star even though I held it in my hands.
After school, I headed home and completely forget to talk about the history project with Flaming Star. I set up my new phone and added the numbers of my friends, my apps, my accounts and almost everything I had on my previous phone. I was in the middle of doing so when I suddenly received a call from an anonymous number. At first I was surprised that I even had a SIM card. I answered, and it was none one than Flaming Star himself.
“Hey, I see you got your new phone. I’m still sorry for your old phone, it was kinda because of me that you got involved,” he said.
“Well, thanks for the new phone, it’s actually quite a lot. But don’t be sorry. I mean, things happen and right now I feel like I owe you one for this phone.”
“I felt you might need another one, but whatever you say, Sunshine. And if you had a chance to do any work on the project, feel free to call later.”
“Sure, I will,” then I realized what he called me again. “Wait WHA-“ But it was too late, he already hung up. I decided to call him back since it was not the first time he had called me that. I entered his number, and waited, and waited until it said that the line was busy
Later that night after playing some games, I called him to actually talk about our project. This time for real. We have already wasted enough time. He picked up just a few seconds later when I called him.
“Hi.”
“Hi, do you have time to talk about our history project?”
“Yeah, actually, I did some digging beforehand. I found some well-known musicians from centuries ago, I guess that might come in handy.”
“Oh, that’s great!” I was happy that he actually did something. “If we could only gather more information about their style of music, too, that would be great!”
“Well, to be honest, I found some stuff. I even found a few of their works, too, but we need to present them really well.”
“Don’t worry about that, I’ll handle it. I know how to do it.”
“OK, whatever you say, I’ll send them to ya in a minute.” After that he hung up.
A few minutes later he sent the pictures and documents to me. I read some of them; there was a guy named “Harmony Sichord,” he composed many different songs for harpsichord and most of them are still being played. He was interested in using different notes and tempos in one composition. That was actually some good information.
I also looked at the other files he sent me and those were useful, too. Still, we needed to bring up more topics in our project than just musicians. So I texted him, and told him that I will work on this till the next day and that I would explain how we are going to present it to him.
After a while he texted me back, saying that we should meet up after school and talk about it. It seemed fine to me. He added “Just don’t end up being kidnapped again.“
After doing some studying and checking out my new phones features, I went to bed. But I couldn’t sleep. I just had a lot of thoughts in my head. I was wondering how easy it has become for me to work with Flaming Star. I remember that a few days ago I preferred to be caught kissing him to having to present a History project. That how easy it was for me to just talk to him, though we were basically like cat and dog.
I know you’re the Princess of Friendship, but who knew that, to become a friend with someone, you might need to be kidnapped.

Dear Princess Twilight,
In the past days, quite a lot has happened. A new session about magic, taking exams got started, having more of Pro. Skull Mustache, but more importantly was the story I want to tell you now.
So the day after Flaming Star and I got kidnapped, I got up late and I don’t think I need to tell you why. I got to school a little late. I literally ran into the classroom, but surprisingly I did not see Cranky Doodle as the teacher. But I did see Pro. Skull Mustache!
“Uh, sorry, I think I’m in the wrong class.” I said.
“I think not,” Professor said. “Mr. Cranky Doodle was not able to attend the class, so he asked me to take his place today.”
“Oh.” I couldn’t think of anything else to say.
He looked at me, and then pointed his finger at me and moved it up and down. “Are you going to stand there for the rest of the class?”
“Uh, no, can I take a seat?”
“I’m afraid I am not aware of your capabilities!” Now he was teaching me grammar.
“May I?”
“Indeed!”
I just took a seat. I knew that the class was almost over, so I didn’t expect to follow things too closely. But what registered with me was how he taught Cranky Doodle’s class, which was Math and Calculus. Unlike Cranky Doodle, he explained the whole topic first, then gave example to us and solved them while explaining, and at the end he wrote some other examples for us to do for ourselves as homework. It was a nice way to teach something, but considering that Prof. Mustache’s subject wasn’t mathematics, he handled it well.
But even with all of that, I still couldn’t learn a thing. Keep in mind I pretty much didn’t get any sleep the night before and I didn’t have anything to eat, so it’s no surprise that I could barely focus on the lesson at all. I think I started nodding off when suddenly I saw Flaming Star and Flash Sentry seated next to each other, arguing with each other, practically nose to nose.
“It is too radical,” Flash said.
“No, it’s not, you got it wrong, dummy.”
“What did you say?”
“What did you hear?”
“Something I didn’t like.”
“So what now, you gonna cry?”
It was then that Flash Sentry stood up and went to fight Flaming Star. This had bad news written all over it.

We all sat together again, and I started to tell them how weird and hard that night was. They all were into my story, especially the part that Flaming Star Started to Sing.
“He sings?” Rainbow Dash said.
“It seems like it, and he has a good voice too.” I answered.
“but what happened afterwards?” Applejack asked.
“To my surprise, they all got motivated and left the club, we got food and a few coins which we used to get on the bus and get home.”
“So are you alright now?” Twilight asked.
“yeah,” I said as I put the spoon in my mouth and kept on eating my lunch as fast as I could.
“Someone seems a little too hungry.” Rainbow Dash said. I just gave her a glare and kept on eating. But Rarity changed the subject afterwards.
“Leave her alone, she had a bad day, now let’s focus on the demon who was holding the class this morning!” she was talking about Prof. Skull Mustache.
“you just had one session with him!” I said after swallowing my lunch. “ but we have to tolerate him till the end of this year.”
“But I heard other say he is way better than Ms. Dusty Fossil.” Fluttershy said.
“yeah, at least he can make me to pay attention in his class and actually learn something. But I mean, he likes to mock others. You talk to him about your problems and he be like “That’s none of my business.” And on top of that he uses some weird hand gestures I have never seen before.”
“ the guy looks a little grumpy too.” Applejack said.
“I think he might need some surprises to make him laugh.” Pinkie said and just after that we all assured her that it’s not a good idea.
“PINKIE! NO!”
In the afternoon when I got home, I wrote you the story of that night. After that I played some games and did my homework, along side of starting to revise for my exams.
