Reimore
Understand?
Load Full Story"Stealing has never been a priority in this job," Windcrasher snarled. "Why was it such a priority to you?"
Crysta looked down. "It wasn't a priority to me," The mare started. "It was a priority for him."
Windcrasher looked at the pegasus with a curious look. Crysta looked up at her. "Priority for him? Huh. Alright," the unicorn started walking, gesturing for Crysta to follow. "And who is this...him?"
Crysta's limbs tensed. Should she lie? Should she pretend she didn't know his name? More importantly, should she ignore the fact she was in love with him?
The pegasus looked away, pausing. Windcrasher peered over her shoulder, her eyebrow raised. She came to a stop, smirking. The unicorn turned around, lifting Crysta's chin with her right hoof. Crysta felt an unease gazing upon her leader's eyes. Her fearsome, yellow eyes.
"I will ask again," She continued. "Who is this him?"
Crysta gulped quietly. "He...he's an old friend. From years ago. He has become a con-man, giving me the deal for if I had stolen something for him."
Windcrasher's smile just got bigger and more sinister, making Crysta feel uncomfortable. "You know I hate lies."
She then pinned the pegasus against the wall. Her front hooves pressing down firmly on Crysta's shoulders. Windcrasher bent her neck to peer closer to the pegasus's face. Crysta could feel the warmth of Windcrasher's breath as she began to speak again.
"And you know I hate when my workers go against orders," At this, she placed her hoof on Crysta's chest, pressing down quite hard.
This made Crysta gasp. Windcrasher snickered.
"Now," She said, pressing down harder. "I would hate for 'something' to happen to you. But if it's needed, I won't hesitate for a replacement."
Crysta groaned and gasped for breath. "So, will this happen again?"
The pegasus kept gasping, but slowly shook her head. Windcrasher smirked. "Of course not," She lifted her hoof, landing back on her legs. As she turned to back away, she pulled out her dagger. "But if it does, you know what the punishment is."
Crysta fell to her knees, coughing and gasping. She looked up at Windcrasher as she walked down the hallway. Onceher hoofsteps were fully faded, Crysta started crying. Her sobs were faint, not wanting to make a disruption through the hall. She fell into her front hooves, sniffling quietly.
"What's a beauty like yourself doing crying on the floor?" A familiar voice called to her.
Crysta looked up, a few more tears falling down her light blue cheeks. She was greeted by a male pegasus, emerging from the shadows on the ceiling. He hovered for a moment until he landed his white hooves on the soft blue carpet. Crysta smiled at her best friend, sniffing slightly still.
"Hey, Lucas," Crysta said, taking his hoof and standing up.
"That bitch at it again?" Lucas asked.
Crysta looked away, but nodded. "Yes."
Lucas growled, his magenta eyes glaring. "I swear," He began. "If she hurts you again, I swear---"
"No, no, it's fine," Crysta smiled.
The dark blue pegasus whined and tried to protest, but his female best friend put her hoof over his mouth. Instead he smiled back and placed his hoof on hers. "But really, if anything happened to you, I'd probably start a war!" He had said. Crysta giggled.
I love you, Crysta could only think. I wish to have the ring you bought me wrapped around my wing.
She smiled at this, making Lucas tilt his head. Crysta blinked and shook her head. She looked back up at him.
"Oh," The pegasus said. "Just a thought."
Lucas smirked. "Oh?" He leaned in closer. "And what is that?"
Crysta tensed, trying her best to keep the blush down deep under her fur. "Just somepony..."
"Oooo!" Lucas clapped his hooves together. "Tea!"
A small chortle came from Crysta as she covered her mouth with her hoof. She told him she would tell him when she felt it was right. Lucas slunked but nodded. He understood how Crysta was with her feelings, even to her best friend.
Crysta smiled. Lucas smiled back. The two ponies shared their grins for a moment before Windcrasher's voice rang through the halls, making both of their wings open. She was calling for Crysta to come to her office.
Lucas' ears fell back as he watched his best friend go down the hall, but her smile as she left made him happier. He flew out of the nearest window and into the sky.
She walked down the hall, her ocean flank moving side to side with her steps. She heard the faint voice she always did when she past by a window which showed a lake where ponies and their foals were playing. Crysta smiled at this before opening a door which lead to Windcrasher's office. The white unicorn was filing through papers, seeming unaware of Crysta's prescence. The pegasus hesitated, rubbing her hoof before speaking. Windcrasher's head raised.
"It's been ten minutes," Crysta said, hesitantly.
"Yes, I know," Windcrasher spoke as she looked back at her files. She looked back up at the pegasus, folding her hooves over each other. "But we have visitors, which I'd like you to meet."
Crysta tilted her head. "Pardon me, but what visitors?"
Windcrasher smirked at the pegasus. She began walking out again. "I honestly would much rather keep going through those files. But I recieved new word on how close they are, and I would figure it be best for you to be prepared."
Crysta still didn't understand, so Windcrasher continued, "The leader from the other continent have been flying about two days to reach Reimore. They'd like to...discuss with us."
They reaced the outdoors, which was bright. Crysta glanced at her leader's flank, her mark showing the grand wind and clouds. She looked back at her own flank, smiling on how it seemed to be a moving wave as her legs moved. She looked back up as Windcrasher kept speaking on the leaders who were coming.
"She seems to be named Princess Celestia. No queen nor king? Pah! That's more hilarious than anything!' Windcrasher sneered.
Crysta slightly opened her wings, wanting to fly through the sky with Lucas by her side. She closed her eyes lightly at this thought, smiling subtly. The only things which caught her mind was the story on the Princess' sister, who caused distruction along with being banished to the moon. This frightened the pegasus, the fact that she had to be sent into exile on a different planet. Unfortunatly, Crysta was not paying much attention as she daydreamed of flying. Crysta had to hold back a squeal as she nearly rammed into Windcrasher's ass. She stomped her left hoof into the ground, praying she hadn't disturbed her leader. Luckily, Windcrasher did not take notice to this.
"Now," She spoke, turning to her pegasus soldier. "She is a leader, such as me, so how should you act?"
"Respectfully, professionally, and prideful," Crysta replied, straightening her posture.
Windcrasher smirked. "Prideful for..."
"Reimore," Crysta nodded.
The unicorn nodded in approval and began walking away from Crysta. She informed her to watch for a carriage being pulled by pegasi, and to inform her immediatly when seen. Crysta agreed to this as she began to walk down the shortened grass path. Beautiful flowers and vines lined the sides of the path, making Crysta smile. She knew who grew the flowers that lined the paths and roads of Lacios, the capital city of Reimore.
Crysta knew who the pony was who grew these flowers. Her name was Lora, having a strong Earth-connection. No other gardener could make the flowers line the pathways so cleanly without being able to control the plants.
Crysta, however, had Aquaspeak. She could control water, along with speak to it. She could hear the waves and ripples of every body of water near her talking to each other. It was more of whispers, but still speaking.
"Hey, dork!" A voice came from above Crysta.
She looked up and smirked at who the voice came from. Lucas plopped down in front of her, grinning widely. Crysta snorted and began walking down the path again, this time with Lucas by her side. She started explaining what Windcrasher had told her about the Princess of the other land and how she was coming to meet the citizens of Reimore.
"Well that sounds fun," Lucas spoke. "I wonder if she'll think of me as dashing or handsome!"
Crysta snorted as her best friend put on his best imitation of a prince, as well as placing his hoof under his chin. Well someone already finds you dashing and handsome, Crysta thought.
"Hey!" Lucas said, pausing in the middle of the road. He turned and grinned at Crysta. "Race ya to that cloud!"
Crysta looked up to see where he was pointing. It was a large cloud which was pretty high. Pretty high? Ha! Crysta could fly faster and higher than most pegasi she knew. A cloud at that height she could easily get to. Lucas knew this, but he was also fast and a good flyer. He had beat Crysta in their races on a few occasions.
"Ha!" Crysta laughed. "You will regret challenging me!"
Lucas grinned as they both got in a position ready to fly. They gave each other faces full of pride before Crysta shot up in the air. Lucas followed, a few feet away from her. The wind whisked across cheeks as she flew. She had a large smile on her face as she flew. She would make a few glances back at Lucas and give a sassy remark like, "Hey slowpoke," or "Hurry your fat ass up!"
Lucas only rolled his eyes and gained speed.
Crysta felt confident as the cloud was getting closer, maybe only five yards away? She laughed as she felt the few extra cloud specks wrap around her hooves. She didn't notice Lucas was no longer close behind her, she only saw the cloud as she jumped through the fluff.
"Wahoo!" She cheered, flapping her wings rapidly. She fell to the bottom of the cloud, giggling and panting. Still trying to catch her breath, she peered over the cloud, saying, "Hey, Luke-"
She tilted her head at what she saw. Lucas wasn't flying after her, he wasn't even moving. He was just flapping his wings as he stared off towards the beach. Crysta hopped off the cloud and flew down to her best friend.
"What? Give up?" She grinned until she saw the concern on Lucas's face. "What's wrong?"
Lucas didn't even giver her a glance. Instead, he lifted his hoof to her chin and turned it towards the beach. Crysta didn't understand until she squinted and peered closer. Her eyes widened and her jaw opened slightly. A carriage, with an Alicorn, guided by two pegasi. Only a few minutes away from the landing sight in Lacios. She looked to her best friend, who's face was still laced with worry. He had seen something. He had a vision. A bad vision.
"What? What did you see?" Crysta asked.
"We...we will have a war," Lucas whispered. Crysta's eyes widened. He turned to her. "If Windcrasher says the wrong thing,"
He turned back. "And she will."
